GRADUALLY AS THE CAR IS ACCELERATING IT MAKES A TERRIBLE GRINDING NOISE AND SHAKES ALSO JERKS WHEN CHANGING GEARS, CONFIRMED IT IS A FAILED TRANSMISSION, THE CAR HAS HAD ALL THE APPROPRIATE MAINTENANCE JUST NOT AT A MB DEALER AND THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN ON THE TRANSMISSION JUST NOT OFFICIAL RECALL AND MERCEDES IS CLAIMING NO RESPONSIBILITY AS IT WAS NOT SERVICED AT MB DEALER SINCE 2014. CLEARLY THE SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT IS RECOGNITION OF A PROBLEM

TAKATA RECALL WE WERE NOTIFIED OF THIS RECALL OVER TWO YEARS AGO. THERE HAS BEEN NO MOVEMENT ON A REPAIR. THIS IS ABSURD, WE HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN NOTIFIED THAT OUR TWO MERCEDES VEHICLES THAT ARE AFFECTED BY THIS RECALL, HAVE BEEN DROPPED IN PRIORITY FOR A REPAIR.
TAKATA RECALL WAS MADE ON THIS CAR IN JANUARY 2017 AND NO REMEDY HAS BEEN RELEASED OVER TWO YEARS LATER. ALSO, THE PAINT ON THE WHOLE CAR BUBBLED BEING A DEFECT FROM MERCEDES.

TAKATA RECALL (#17V017) - MY ISSUE WITH THIS RECALL IS THE UNACCEPTABLE TIMELINESS IN MAKING THE NECESSARY REPAIR. IN JANUARY 2017, I WAS NOTIFIED VIA A RECALL LETTER FROM MERCEDES THAT MY CAR'S FRONT PASSENGER-SIDE AIR BAG WAS AFFECTED BY THE TAKATA INFLATOR RECALL AND I WOULD BE NOTIFIED WHEN A REPAIR WAS AVAILABLE. TO DATE (APRIL 2019), THIS HAS NOT BEEN REMEDIED BY MERCEDES AND CURRENTLY, PER THEIR WEBSITE, THERE IS NO TIMELINE ON WHEN THIS REPAIR CAN BE MADE. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE IN TERMS OF THE TIMELINESS OF COMPLETING THIS REPAIR GIVEN THE SERIOUS (AND POTENTIALLY DEADLY) NATURE OF THE FLAW WITH THE TAKATA INFLATORS SHOULD THE AIR BAG DEPLOY. WHEN I ADDRESSED MY CONCERNS REGARDING THE DELAY IN THIS REPAIR WITH MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP, THEIR ADVICE WAS TO AVOID HAVING A PERSON RIDE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT - WHICH IS IMPRACTICAL AND NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE CONSIDERING THIS IS OUR FAMILY CAR.

ROUGH START IN THE MORNING, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK IT TO THE MERCEDES BENZ DEALERSHIP AT BUCKHEAD GA. WAS TOLD THAT THE CAM ADJUSTERS NOT FUNCTIONING. ESTIMATED REPAIR COST $4000.
THE CEL CAME ON AND THE ENGINE WAS HAVING A ROUGH START . I TOOK IT TO THE REPAIR SHOP AND AFTER USING THE STAR DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM THE DIAGNOSES WAS CAMSHAFT ADJUSTERS IN FAILURE. THE REMEDY REPLACE THE CAMSHAFT ADJUSTERS. COST $3500.00. *TR
