I WAS DRIVING ON GLADES ROAD, BOCA RATON, FL. I HEARD A LOUD NOISE, SAW SMOKE AND LOST MY POWER STEERING. I MANAGED TO PULL INTO TOWN CENTER MALL, GOT OUT OF THE CAR AND SAW THAT THE CAR WAS ON FIRE. THE BOCA RATON POLICE CAME, #5 FIRE DEPARTMENT CAME. THE FIRE WAS PUT OUT AND THE CAR WAS TOWED TO MERCEDES OF DELRAY.
TAKATA RECALL. CONSUMERS HAVE BEEN IN A WAITING PERIOD FOR A TRAGEDY TO HAPPEN WITH THE SRS . WHEN WILL A SOLUTION BE PROVIDED BY THE MANUFACTURER AND AVAILABLE TO CONSUMERS? I DO NOT WANT ANYTHING TO HAPPEN TO ME OR MY FAMILY MEMBERS BECAUSE OF A SLOW OR NO RESPONSE IN SOLVING THIS SRS PROBLEM. I DO NOT NEED THE MONEY, BUT I DO WANT TO KEEP MY HEALTH AND LIFE!!
I HAD BEEN DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, GOT OFF ONTO A SIDE ROAD AND WHEN APPROACHING A STOP LIGHT WHILE BRAKING: MY CAR COMPLETELY DIED (WHILE IN DRIVE). THE MOTOR SHUT OFF, THE ELECTRICAL DASH SYSTEM LIGHTS ALL WENT OFF AND THE HAZARD TRIANGLE SYSTEM CAME ON (WITH THE SYMBOL OF AN EXCLAMATION MARK(!) INSIDE THE TRIANGLE). AFTER ABOUT A MINUTE AND A HALF, I PUT IT IN PARK, AND IT RESTARTED. SCARY! I HAD A FULL TANK OF GAS.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. STEERING WHEEL WILL NOT GO UP OR DOWN
THOUGH I APPEAR TO HAVE MANAGED ONLY MINIMAL INJURY IN THE RANDOM MALFUNCTIONING DEPLOYMENT OF MY STEERING WHEEL AIRBAG WITHOUT BEING INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT OR COLLISION, I WAS EXTREMELY LUCKY MY CAR'S AIRBAG DIDN'T DEPLOY WHILE I WAS DRIVING 50, 60 OR 70 MPH. I WAS ACTUALLY PARKED WHEN THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED. KEYS WERE IN THE IGNITION AS WELL. EVEN IF THE CAR IS REPAIRED, IT COULD HAPPEN AGAIN AND EVEN LEAD TO FATALITIES OF MYSELF, MY FAMILY AND OTHER ADJACENT VEHICLES' PASSENGERS ON THE ROAD. MY WIFE PERSONALLY DOESN'T WANT TO RIDE IN THAT CAR KNOWING THIS COULD HAPPEN AGAIN. I DID A LITTLE INVESTIGATING AND I FOUND THAT MERCEDES-BENZ HAS A RECENT HISTORY OF THESE ISSUES. PLEASE SEE ARTICLE FROM NY TIMES BELOW. THE MB DEALERSHIP IS STILL TESTING MY CAR TO FIGURE THINGS OUT BUT MY MAJOR CONCERN IS WITH THE SAFETY OF MYSELF, MY FAMILY, OTHER DRIVERS, AND OTHER C 250 OWNERS. THE DEALERSHIP HAS STILL NOT TAKEN A STANCE SO THIS IS NOT SO MUCH A COMPLAINT AS IT IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN WHICH SHOULD LEAD TO A RECALL. THANK YOU. WHEN THE OUTSIDE AIR INTAKE IS COVERED WITH SNOW OR ICE IT WILL NOT ALLOW OUTSIDE AIR INTO THE HVAC SYSTEM. THIS CAUSES THE FRONT WINDOW DEFROSTER TO NOT BE ABLE TO BLOW AIR ON THE WINDSHIELD TO CLEAR THE WINDSHIELD. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS DESIGN FLAW ON BEHALF OF MERCEDES BENZ. IF HOT WATER IS POURED OVER THE OUTSIDE AIR INTAKE SCREEN THE BLOWER WILL OPERATE PROPERLY, BLOWING HOT AIR TO DEFROST THE FRONT WINDSHIELD. ONLY HAPPENS IF THE CAR IS OUTSIDE WITH SNOW OR ICE BUILDUP TO BLOCK AIRFLOW INTO THE HVAC SYSTEM. DEFROSTER WILL WORK PROPERLY IF NO SNOW OR ICE IS COVERING THE AREA.
TAKATA PASSENGER AIR BAG RECALL HAS STILL NOT BEEN RESOLVDD
MERCEDES HAS HAD A RECALL ON MY PASSENGER AIR BAG AND HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING YET FOR OVER A YEAR. THEY SAID THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PARTS TO REPLACE THE AIRBAG. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE.

I WAS EXITING THE INTERSTATE AND MAKING A L TURN ONTO ANOTHER HIGHWAY. AS I AM IN THE TURN I HEAR A LOUD POP AND SEE THAT MY SUNROOF HAS SHATTERED. IT REMAINED INTACT AND DID NOT SHOWER ME WITH GLASS BUT IT IS CRACKED AND BOWED IT ON ALL CORNERS AND IS BOWED UP IN THE CENTER OF THE GLASS.
AT FIRST THE CAR WOULD HAVE A LIGHT TICKING OR KNOCKING NOISE AFTER A 15-20 MINUTE RUN ON THE HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH. LAST WEEK, FRIDAY EVENING, I STARTED SMELLING SMOKE SOMETHING LIKE PLASTIC, ENOUGH TO MAKE YOU SEARCH FOR THE SOURCE. IT SEEM AS THOUGHT THE SMOKEY SMELL IS COMING FROM THE INSIDE BUT AFTER OPENING THE DRIVERSIDE DOOR THE BURNING SMELL IS COMING FROM UNDER THE CAR. ON YESTERDAY, MONDAY, FOUR DAYS SINCE I FIRST SMELL OF SMOKE, WHICH IS CONSISTENT NOW AND LOOKED AT BY A MECHANIC WHO SAID RUNNING OVER A PLASTIC BAG IS THE POSSIBLE PROBLEM. SOUNDED LOGICAL UNTIL A FEW HOURS LATER AFTER A 25 MILE HIGHWAY RUN AT 70+MPH THE CAR WAS SHAKING AND STUGGLING TO STAY ON. THE SMOKEY SMELL WAS ELEVATED AND THE POWERTRAIN LIGHT WAS ON. CALLED THE MECHANIC WHO TOLD ME TO PULL OVER, WAIT AND RESTART THE CAR. NOW I'M AFAID TO DRIVE THE CAR WHICH IS SCHEDULED FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST TODAY, TUESDAY, MAY 17, 2016. WHERE THERE'S SMOKE THERE'S FIRE,
THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN A DRIVEWAY AND THE TRUNK WAS OPENED WHEN THE REAR WINDOW SHATTERED FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THE WINDOW WAS NOT STRUCK. THIS OCCURRED AFTER A 200 MILE HIGHWAY TRIP WITH NO ISSUES. OBVIOUSLY, IF THIS HAD HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY IT COULD HAVE BEEN A DIFFICULT SITUATION.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MERCEDES-BENZ OF CHERRY HILL (2151 NJ-70, CHERRY HILL, NJ 08002, (856) 663-3200) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V627000 (AIR BAGS) BECAUSE THE SRS WARNING INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 MERCEDES BENZ C250. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE CONTACT NOTICED A LEAK COMING FROM THE RADIATOR AND THE TRANSMISSION. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT NOTICED FUEL FUMES COMING FROM THE OIL PAN AND DIP STICK IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FUNCTIONED AS INTENDED. IN ADDITION, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO FIND ANY LEAKS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2014 MERCEDES BENZ C250. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH, A CRASH WAS ATTEMPTED TO BE AVOIDED CAUSING THE CONTACT TO CRASH INTO A TREE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED FACE LACERATIONS AND THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED A SHOULDER INJURY THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,000.
I LEASED MY VEHICLE IN NOVEMBER OF 2013. THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN TO AND FROM WORK AND IN THE BEGINNING I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. A FEW MONTHS AGO I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY AT 70 MPH AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE VEHICLE LOST POWER. THE VEHILE WOULD VIOLENTLY SHAKE WHE TRYING TO ACCELERATE. I MANGED TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE FOR ABOUT ANOTHER 30 MINUTES AND MADE IT TO THE DEALER AND TURNED THE CAR OFF BUT ONCE THEY RESTARTED IT THE CAR RAN FINE. SINCE THEN THEN CAR WILL RANDOMLY LOOSE POWER ALL OF A SUDDEN IT HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER 3 OR 4 TIMES AND THEY KEEP IT FOR A WEEK AND THEN GIVE IT BACK AND SAY THAT THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO RECREATE THE ISSUE. I HAVE ALMOST BEEN HIT ONCE SO FAR AND WHEN I LET MY BROTHER USE THE CAR HE WAS ALMOST HIT WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN BECAUSE OF THE RANDOM POWER LOSS. I HAVE CONTACTED MBUSA AND SPOKE WITH SOMEONE NAMED JUAN. I CONTINUED TO CALL HIM ANS TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER EVERYTIME IT HAPPENED EXPRESSING MY CONCERNS ABIUT THE CAR AS WELL AS SAFETY. JUAN INTIALLLY ACTED AS IF HE CARED BUT THAT WAS SHOR LIVED AS HE FINALLY CALLED BACK ON 10/2/15 AND EXPLAINED THAT HIS MANAGERS AND MBUSA WERE UNABLE TO CREATE THE ISSUE AT THE DEALER LEVEL SO THERE IS NOTHING THEY WILL DO AT THIS POINT... AT THAT POINT I REALIZED THAT THERE IS NOTHING THAT MBUSA WILL DO FOR ME AND THAT I WILL CONTINUE TO FORCED TO DRIVE AND PAY FOR A VERY UNSAFE VEHICLE.
RANDOM ENGINE STALL INVOLVING TURBO AND INTERCOOLER: WE PURCHASED THIS 2014 C250 WITH ROUGHLY 8,000 MILES FROM NEARBY MB DEALER. WE HAVE ENJOYED THE CAR IMMENSELY, EXCEPTION THIS VERY SERIOUS "DEFECT" WITH THE ENGINE. OBSERVED ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS, THIS PROBLEM IS VERY SERIOUS AND COULD LEAD TO POTENTIAL COLLISION WHILE PASSING ANOTHER VEHICLE, BECAUSE THE ENGINE "STALLS" UNDER INTENSE ACCELERATION RANDOMLY, LEAVING ONLY ONE CYLINDER WORKING. WITH THIS ONE REMAINING CYLINDER, THE CAR CAN BARELY BE OPERATED, SHAKING ETC., BUT CAN BE MANEUVERED OFF THE ROAD IF POSSIBLE IN TRAFFIC, SHUT OFF, AND RE-STARTED WITHOUT ANY AFTER-AFFECTS. WE TOOK TO THE DEALER TWICE, AND BOTH TIMES THE MB DEALER ADMITS THERE IS A VERY REAL PROBLEM WITH, ALLEGEDLY, THE "INTERCOOLER," AND THAT "ALL C250 ENGINES HAVE THIS SAME POTENTIAL PROBLEM," AND FURTHERMORE, MERCEDES DOES NOT CURRENTLY HAVE A SOLUTION OR FIX, BUT IS WORKING ON IT. NOTE: IT'S BEEN SIX MONTHS SINCE I REPORTED MY INITIAL PROBLEM AND HAD IT RECORDED (FILED AT THE DEALER). THE CAR COMPUTER DOES INDICATE THE PROBLEM EXISTS, AND RECORDS EACH INCIDENT. PROBLEM: MB DOES NOT HAVE A SOLUTION CURRENTLY. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO HAVE THE CAR UNDER FULL ACCELERATION IN SPORT MODE, AND THEN THE CAR SUDDENLY WITHOUT WARNING SHUTS DOWN ("COMPUTER GENERATED STALL"). I WAS FORTUNATE TO BE GOING VERY FAST MERGING ONTO INTERSTATE TRAFFIC, THEN ABLE TO GET OFF THE ROAD BEFORE I WAS REAR-ENDED. THIS SAME SCENARIO HAS OCCURRED ON TWO OTHER OCCASIONS WITHOUT ANY ACCIDENT, AND WHILE MOTOR WAS NOT EVEN HEAVILY STRESSED AS THE INITIAL INCIDENT.
THIS IS IN REGARDS TO THE CONTINENTAL CONTI PRO CONTACT TIRES BEING DEFECTIVE. I HAVE 2 TIRES THAT WERE ON MY CPO 2014 MERCEDES BENZ THAT I PURCHASED A FEW MONTHS AGO THAT HAVE DEVELOPED BUBBLES IN THE SIDEWALL FROM NO IMPACT. I PUT LESS THAN 9,000 MILES BEFORE THE DEFECT SURFACED. MY DEALERSHIP SAYS THAT THEY AREN'T WARRANTED OR DEFECTIVE? THIS IS AN EXTREME SAFETY HAZARD AND A CAR THAT MY FAMILY DRIVES DAILY. I HAVE STARTED CONTACT DIRECTLY WITH CONTINENTAL.
I BOUGHT A 2014 C250 MERCEDES WITH CONTINENTAL TIRES DOT: HW4TNXH61413 IN NOVEMBER OF 2013. TWO OF THE FOUR TIRES CONTINUE TO LOSE TIRE PRESSURE AND HAVE DEVELOPED SIDE WALL BUBBLES. THE CAR IS DRIVEN DAILY AND HAS 20,000 MILES ON IT.

WHEN THE IGNITION WAS TURNED TO THE ON POSITION AND THE VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED INTO DRIVE WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A TRAFFIC LIGHT POLE. THE CONTACT SUFFERED LACERATIONS TO THE HEAD, MUSCLE DAMAGE TO THE LEGS, AND A FRACTURE ON THE EYE SOCKET. THE CONTACT RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S INSURANCE COMPANY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,000.
I WAS DRIVING ON I-10 EASTBOUND AT APPROXIMATELY MILE MARKER 180 TO 182, WHEN I MADE A LANE CHANGE TO LET A FASTER MOVING VEHICLE PASS ME. I WENT FROM THE LEFT TO RIGHT LANE WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 70 OR 75 MPH, (SPEED LIMIT ON I-10 IS 75 MPH). UPON ENTERING THE RIGHT LANE I SAW A TRACTOR TRAILER BRAKE LIGHTS, AND I SLAMMED ON THE BRAKE IN MY C 250, AND IT CAUSED THE CAR WHEELS TO LOCKED UP, WHICH ALSO CAUSED THE CAR TO SKID, AND SWERVE THE BACK END. THE C 250 DID SLOW DOWN SOME, BUT CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP AFTER THE C 250 IMPACTED THE REAR BUMPER OF THE TRAILER ATTACHED ON THE TRACTOR TRAILER TRUCK. THE C 250 SLIDE APPROXIMATELY 200 FEET, THERE WERE TIRE TRACKS ON THE PAVEMENT, WHICH SHOWS THE TIRES LOCKED UP. THE REAR ENDED OF THE CAR ALSO SWERVED, AND IT DIDN'T SEEM LIKE THE C 250 WAS SLOWING DOWN, ONCE THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. THERE WAS ALSO SOME SKIPPING OF THE TIRES. THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED BUT WAS LATE, AND CAUSED ME TO IMPACT THE WINDSHIELD WITH MY HEAD. THERE IS ALSO A HOLE IN THE AIRBAG THAT IS BIGGER THEN A SILVER DOLLAR, WHICH SHOWS SIGN OF TEARING AND FRAYING. THE SEAT-BELT DETACHED AT IMPACT WHICH FORCED ME FORWARD AND DIDN'T RESTRAIN ME FROM ME HITTING THE STEERING WHEEL AND WINDSHIELD. *TR
THE AIRBACGS (TAKATA) ARE STILL NOT REPAIRED THE MINIMIZE THE SAFETY TREAT. THE CAR IS A 2014 MERCEDES C250
DRIVING ON A FOUR-LANE STREET (TWO LANES ON EACH SIDE) WITH MY TWO KIDS. THE 2014 C250 HAD A MALFUNCTION WITH THE ELECTRIC STEERING: AUTOMATICALLY JERKING THE CAR TO THE RIGHT. I LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR AND HIT THE CURB. IT FELT LIKE WE WENT AIRBORNE. I TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL TO THE LEFT TO TRY TO STABILIZE THE CAR, QUICKLY REALIZING THERE WAS TRUCK TO THE LEFT I TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL BACK TO THE RIGHT TO AVOID HITTING THE TRUCK. THIS CAUSED ME TO HIT THE CURB AGAIN. IT ALL HAPPENED SO FAST IT WAS HARD TO STABILIZE THE CAR. MERCEDES-BENZ (EXPRESSED AS MBUSA) HAD MY CAR FOR OVER A MONTH. IN THEIR INCIDENT QUESTIONNAIRE THEY ASKED TO GRANT PERMISSION TO IMAGE THE DATA CONTAINED IN THE VEHICLE'S EVENT DATA RECORDER (EDR). I SENT THE QUESTIONNAIRE TO MY INSURANCE, AND WE DIDN'T NOT GRANT MBUSA PERMISSION AS THE LESSEE. MBUSA BROKE THE LAW AND WENT WITHOUT MY PERMISSION AND IMAGED THE DATA. THAN CAME BACK AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT COVER THE DAMAGE, AS THE EDR STATED THAT I HIT THE CURB. MBUSA EXPRESSED THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR THEIR MALFUNCTION. I ASKED FOR A COPY OF THE RECORDED CONVERSATION AND I WANT THE REPORT. IT WAS EXPRESSED BY MBUSA THAT I WOULD HAVE TO GET A COURT SUBPOENA FOR THEM TO GIVE ME THE INFORMATION. I CALLED A ATTORNEY AND THIS IS AGAINST THE LAW; AND IS ALL TACTICS/STRATEGIES ON MBUSA PART TO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY BECAUSE THEY WOULD BY LAW HAVE TO REPORT IT TO NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION (NHTSA). ALL I WANTED WAS TO KEEP MY FAMILY SAFE, AND FOR MBUSA TO TAKE THE CAR BACK AS IT WAS AROUND 3 MONTHS OLD WHEN THE ACCIDENT ACCUSED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

TIRE WAS REPLACED AT MY EXPENSE AND I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME; NOVEMBER 8,2014 THE NEW REPLACED TIRE OF THE SEPTEMBER 11, 2014 EVENT( FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE) HAD A BLOW OUT WHILE DRIVING 25 MILES AN HOUR. THE CAR WAS GARAGED FOR APPROX 2 WEEKS AND NOT DRIVEN, THEN FOR 2 DAYS DRIVEN LOCALLY TO DO ERRANDS, THEN DRIVEN ON HIGHWAY AN HOUR TO MY DESTINATION AND AN HOUR BACK WHEN IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD AT 25 MILES PER HOUR THE CAR WAS OUT OF CONTROL AND THE REPLACED TIRE BLEW. THE MALFUNCTION LIGHT WENT ON- IT WAS DARK AND I HAD NO CHOICE THEN TO DRIVE MY HOUSE....THE WHEEL WHICH WASN'T SCRAPED BEFORE IS NOW SCRAPED... CAR DOESN'T ACCELERATE BUT JERKS AND JOLTS WHEN TRYING TO PASS OR CHANGE LANES/DANGEROUS ON HIGHWAYS. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED AND WAS TOWED BY THE DEALER, WHO WAS NOT ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.
R/F TIRE BUBBLE IN SIDEWALL. AT 1959 MILES A BUBBLE APPEARED IN THE R/F TIRE. I DISCOVERED THE BUBBLE WHILE WASHING THE CAR . THIS APPEARED ABOUT TWO MONTH AFTER PURCHASE. AUGUST 19 20014 THE DEALER RELUNCTANTLY REPLACE THE TIRE. I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY BUBBLES SINCE THAT DATE. I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH THE CONTINENTAL TIRES. *TR
LEASED OUR MERCEDES AND SHORTLY AFTERWARDS WE STARTED EXPERIENCING HESITATION, LAGGING AND EVEN STALLING OF THE VEHICLE AS WE TRIED TO ACCELERATE. TWICE THE VEHICLE HAS STALLED AS WE PULLED INTO TRAFFIC, NARROWLY ESCAPING POSSIBLE INJURY AND DAMAGING SEVERAL CARS. HESITATION HAS OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING, (PRESSING ON ACCELERATOR AND THE ENGINE DOES NOT RESPOND BY EVIDENCE OF NO RPM INCREASE). AGAIN, THIS HAS OCCURED NUMEROUS TIMES. WE HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE BACK TO MERCEDES FOUR TIMES, FOR A TOTAL OF 39 DAYS!!!! AND STILL TO THIS DAY, THE VEHICLE STILL HAS THE ISSUE, WHILE MERCEDES CLAIMS THERE ISN'T A PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE. THEY HAVE GIVEN US EVERY EXCUSE IN THE BOOK OF WHY NO PROBLEM EXISTS, EVEN AFTER THE SERVICE MANAGER STATED THAT THE CAR HAS A 6 SECOND DELAY WHICH IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!! TWO DIFFERENT INDIVIDUALS HAVE DROVE THE VEHICLE AND EXPERIENCED THE SAME HESITATION PROBLEM. THE CAR IN OUR EYES IS A HAZARD TO THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA. I PURCHASED THIS C250 IN DEC 2013, HAVE 3 SIMILAR OCCURRENCE WERE THE ENGINE FAILED TO RESPOND. ONCE COMING OUT OF A LIGHT, AND TWICE ON I-95 BOTH TIMES TRYING TO SWITCH LANES TO GET OUT OF ON COMING TRAFFIC, AND ON BOTH OCCASIONS THE VEHICLE DID NOT RESPOND TO THE GAS PEDAL. ONE OF THE INCIDENTS OCCURRED WITH CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED. WE WERE LUCKY WERE NOT KILLED BY THE SEMI TRACTOR TRAILERS. ON THE LAST TIME IT HAPPEN THEY SAID THE NEW ENGINE HAD BACKFIRED AND THEY WERE GOING THE REPLACE A FUEL PORT OR SOMETHING... IN THIS NEW VEHICLE. THIS PROBLEM FIRST STARTED 2 DAYS AFTER PURCHASE OF THIS BRAND NEW 2014 MERCEDES C CLASS. UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE INDICATOR LIGHT COMES ON AND ALARM STARTS DINGING EVEN THOUGH THE EMERGENCY BRAKE HAS NEVER BEEN APPLIED. THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE IT STOP IS TO PULL THE EMERGENCY BRAKE RELEASE LEVER. THIS HAS OCCURRED DURING INITIAL START-UP AND WHILE DRIVING. THE PROBLEM WAS REPORTED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEIR TECHNICIANS RESPONSE IS " THE C CLASS DOES THAT". AFTER TAKING THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER THE TECHNICIANS SAID SINCE THEY COULDN'T RECREATE THE PROBLEM, NOTHING MUST BE WRONG. ONCE I DROVE 30 MILES TO THE DEALERSHIP WITH THE EMERGENCY BRAKE LIGHT ON AND ALARM DINGING SO THEY COULD WITNESS IT. THE MANAGER AND TECHNICIAN MET ME IN THE GARAGE AND HAD ME PULL THE LEVER; THE PEDAL ACTUALLY MOVED BY ABOUT AN INCH. THE MANAGER AND TECH PRACTICALLY ACCUSED ME OF PARTIALLY APPLYING THE BRAKE (WHICH I TOLD THEM I HAVE NEVER PULLED SINCE OWNING THE CAR). I TOLD THEM THIS MAKES THE SITUATION EVEN MORE SERIOUS BECAUSE THE BRAKE MAY ACTUALLY AUTO-APPLY WHILE DRIVING. STILL, NO CONCERN ABOUT SAFETY, OR RESOLVING THE PROBLEM. THEIR RESOLUTION WAS FOR ME TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN TO TRADE FOR A USED 2013 OR USED 2014 OR PAY TO MOVE INTO THE E CLASS WHICH THEY SAY DOESN'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM. *TR
