The contact owns a 2015 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated that while the vehicle was at the dealer for routine service, a corrosion inspection was performed. The contact was informed of a rust hole in the sub frame. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to report the failure to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 76,000.
My check engine light came on recently on my 2015 C300 4matic. Car has 66500 miles on it. The code P052E71 was diagnosed - The valve for the crankcase ventilation has a malfunction. The actuator was blocked. This problems seems to be occurring to a lot of similar cars from Mercedes and some of them have reported that this issue keeps coming back. The dealership and other auto body shops say it's going to cost around $1500-$2000, considering how it's a tedious job to do and involves multiple hours of labor. The dealer won't repair it as part of warranty. This definitely seems to be an engine issue with the car and has nothing to do with how we drive. Cars not older than a couple years are starting to see this issue. There needs to be a recall for this and have Mercedes does something about it. Why are the consumers having to spend money to have the same repairs done for a bad design, parts and engine being provided by Mercedes.
ESP CONTROLLER NON FUNCTIONAL
My 2015 Mercedes Benz vehicle is rarely driven as I took public transportation to work and has ~55000 miles. However, the engine has started throwing error code P052E verified by an independent dealer - crankcase ventilation valve failure. It means the engine could shut off amid driving and I did research and it seems like a very common issue that Mercedes Benz car owner encounter and feels like a severe car defect.
2015 made C399 PVC change cost more than $1,000. Almost every driver has this issue.
The contact owns a 2015 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated that after refueling, the contact smelled a gasoline odor throughout the interior of the vehicle. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failure with the canister purge valve. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related it to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V138000 (Fuel System, Gasoline), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 10,000.
2015 MB C300 Check engine light came on, appointment scheduled to check issue before it went to the mechanic had a safety issue when accelerating to turn in a seven lane busy intersection the car lost acceleration and missed, running rough for a few seconds then recovered in time for me to get out of the way of the 45-50 mph oncoming traffic. Issue is P052E positive crank case ventilation valve which is going to cost $2200 to fix. Car has just over 60k miles on it and this is a known issue for YEARS on multiple MB turbocharged 4cl. I could have been t-boned if the acceleration hadn’t recovered. Does someone have to get killed before MB recalls the vehicles? 60k miles is not a lot of mileage for a car 8 years old that has had all its scheduled maintenance.
MB 2015 C300 4MATIC. Check engine light came on. Went to a Mercedes Mechanic and they read the code as PO52E71. Crankcase Vent Valve Malfunction. This was reset and two days later the check engine light came on again with the same error/fault code being read. This seems to be a common issue for this manufacturer and is a very expensive repair. In the even this is a common issue, I wanted to report this for the record.

Blind Spot Assis Inoperative. This message appears on dashboard showing the malfunction of the blind spot sensors. This always happen when the weather temp is hot and also while driving during rain. This concern is putting me, my wife and kids in high risk and unsafe driving condition. I did some research and found out that the manufacture of this car put these electronic sensors inside the rear bumper behind both rear wheels and are exposed so whenever driving, rain, dirt, salt and all road debris splash all over these electronic sensor causing them to corrode and destroyed as a result of water and salt getting inside these fragile electronic sensors and then, the whole blind spot system inoperative and of course high risk to get involved into an accident.
The contact owns a 2015 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated while driving 25 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact veered to the side of the road. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.
After getting gas my check engine came on steady. Stayed on until cleared. After getting gas a 2nd time check engine light came on again, stayed on, but went out. Then after getting gas a 3rd time, check engine light came on again. Checked by a local Mercedes shop, code showed intake line oil separator bad. Owned this car for 7 years, never had an issue like this. 50,516 miles currently. Quote for repair is high, over $1000 dollars. All episodes of check engine light have occurred in a 4 week time frame.
Engine crankcase vent valve failure. common issue with these vehicles. can cause fire
Just got my car from the mechanic on 7/21/23 and it through an error code as I drove home. Towed back snd mechanic stated I need to replace the crank case vent valve assembly. Further stated that they keep in stock because it happens often. Error code P2188
I have 65000 miles on my car. It is 2015 Mercedes C300. My Engine light came on. Found out that Crankcase Vent Valve needed to be replaced. Cost me 1200 dollars. It appears that lot of Mercedes C series cars have the same problem. I feel that Mercedes should pay for it.
While driving on highway a load noise was heard pulled off the road to see what it was and the part of the sunroof that meets the windshield had raised up so we tried to push it down and continue towards home the car had to be driven at around 40 miles per hour to keep it from elevating and in fear that it might come off and hit someone's car or cause an accident
Engine check light code: P052E Crankcase Ventilator / oil separator. Huge problem could cause the engine to stall while driving. Could lead to an accident if you are trying to merge on the highway and the engine stalls out.

The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to report the failure to the NHTSA Hotline. The contact was informed that the repair could not be covered under warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 103,000.

This is basically a brand new car and needing this repair every 30k is a joke please issue a recall and have Mercedes held responsible
My crankcase vent valve needs to be replaced also EBD traction abs module which alone cost over 1500 for part needs to be replaced
Mercedes 2015 C300 crank case ventilation hose has a defect and it is well-known to the manufacturer. This causes recurring engine and exhaust problems for a large number of car owners, and it should be part of a recall.
Crank case breather assembly needed replacement at 31,200 miles. Service mech. Advised the leaking area (oil) could not be repaired since Mercedes does not sell replacement parts and entire assembly needs to be replaced. March advised Mercedes is aware of issue and has redesigned the entire assembly. Cost for part was $400+ and labor to install was $1000. This issue is common as seen on internet and should warrant a recall refund to customers.
Positive Crankcase Valve faulty causing car to buck during moderate acceleration especially when accelerating onto an interstate on an on ramp.

The service center advices that I may continue to drive the vehicle. However, I am concerned should the oil fully empty without warning the vehicle may fail while in use on a dangerous roadway due to cause and effect of additional unknown maintenance related operational co-dependent mechanical components.
2015 C300 Crankcase Ventilation Valve Replacement P052E71 NEED TO BE REPLACED, ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. ONLY HAVE 37,000 MILES MANY REPORTS OF THIS ISSUE
PVC valve shouldn’t fail and each time it does it is around 2k dollars.

Engine Crankcase (pcv) Problems on Mercedes Benz C300 and harness issue. I’ve noticed this is a very common issue many owners as myself have experienced and no action for a recall.
my car is a 2015 C300 class Mercedes-Benz, as I was driving, the car suddenly and without warning began to vibrate and shake violently and immediately lost power. Fortunately I was off the freeway, a serious accident could have resulted. I took it to the the local MB dealership and they told me that the car failed a compression test in the #1 cylinder and that the engine would have to be replaced at almost $17000. Of course, this was beyond warranty, Mercedes know it’s a defective product, they refused to act responsibly. This cracked piston which is a design flaw by Mercedes needs to be recalled, a lot of people are reporting the same issue.
The contact owns a 2015 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated that approximately every 6-8 months, the vehicle sputtered while driving at various speeds or while idling. The contact stated that a month after the first failure had occurred, the front end of the vehicle lowered as if the shocks or hydraulic system had failed. The failure had occurred 3 times within a year and a half. The contact stated that after the second failure, the entire vehicle lowered several inches, and at the third failure, only the front end of the vehicle was lowered. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the hydraulic pump and the connections from the shocks to the hydraulic pump had failed. The failure reoccurred approximately 8 months later. The vehicle was returned to the dealer who diagnosed the same failure and completed the same repairs. The failure reoccurred approximately 8 months later, and the vehicle was returned to the dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer provided the contact with a loaner while attempting to have the contact trade the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000. The VIN was not available.
Very strong gas smell inside the car when started and heat or air is turned on. I have done research and it is a common issue with this car. This is a very serious issue that can cause an engine fire with the gas leaking in the engine compartment.

Rear subframe rotted, hole like perforation on the frame. The current extended warranty covers the C204, but my Mercedes C300 2015 has a C205 that is the same part number, but for some reason the warranty does not cover the C205, but has the same identical issues as the C204.
My son's car was blowing white smoke out of the exhaust and had a sweet burning smell and the check engine light came on. The crankcase vent valve is needing to be replaced on this 2015 C300 Mercedes Benz and many owners of this same type of car (different year) are posting about it. Owners of these types of cars are saying that replacement is happening more than once! That it's a common defect of these cars. My son has less than 100,000 miles (61,000 if that) and this shouldn't be happening. And, it's time someone does something to protect the consumer. Mercedes-Benz dealers are taking advantage of consumers and charging ridiculous prices to replace this part, but the part shouldn't be breaking. It's a safety factor in that it can affect driving, there's risk of blowing valves/valve cap and engines, including loss of the vehicle and nowadays no one can afford to buy a new car or even a used one! Consumers buy what they think is a reliable vehicle but Mercedes isn't taking care of their customers. Mercedes-Benz should be forced to do a recall and replace these faulty parts. When driving I accelerated and then the engine light turned on. after that the car was jolty and turned off completely when stopped. had to force a restart at the light. code that came back was p052E. This is a major and common issue with these cars. part is 400+ dollars. labor is much more since this is a 6 hour job. the work to replace this part is incredibly intensive that makes it impossible for regular car owners to change. Mercedes refuses to recognizes this as a common issue. but the truth is they designed a faulty system that they claim to have updated a handful of times now.
Check engine light came on and strong fuel smell. Crankcase ventilation malfunction code was verified by dealer.
My check engine light was on when I was driving on the highway. I was terrified that something was very wrong. Right after, I took the car to the dealer and was told that the valve for the crankcase ventilation. The actuator was blocked. I was also told that this is not caused by something I did. It's the design of the car that caused the problem.
P052e71 positive crankcase ventilation regularly valve issue. This is a common issue Mercedes is aware of with their vehicles. I was quoted 1600+ for a repair for something has been known about for over 7 years to be an issue with the car class. I was also told by the shop that this a very common issue and odds are I would need the same service within a year or two.
Driving the 2015 c300 with approx. 69k in miles down the highway and heard a pop and the check engine light came on. The next day there was a rough idle and clanging at low speeds. took to dealership and they quoted me $15k in repairs for a new engine. MB tech said the cylinder #1 is out of spec., and there is scoring on cylinder wall caused by the piston being off center and riding the cylinder wall. After doing research this is a common problem with the m274 engine. How has this not been recalled and taken care of by Mercedes?? At this point i am 'forced' to either come up with $15k for the repairs, or go to MB dealership and try to get into a new car...which i am over $12k upside down on i might add
Strong Gas Smell when heater comes on. Could be hazardous due to breathing in Fuel Fumes
Hi i have seen lot of customers have filed this cause happening in all 2015 to.2018 c300 its crank case vent valve needs to be changed every 30 to 60k miles lt of posts i have seen i just want mercedes to recall this problem.as its $2400 to fix this because something they didnt did right and part goes bad . Pls help.us reach this so they can do recalls why we have to pay 2400
Oil separator failure. This a common design fault as documented by multiple complaints on the internet. This is another Mercedes Benz emission design flaw causing emission failures. This is very cheap part but extremely expensive to replace. Mercedes collects over $1200 per labor repair for each. THIS IS AN EMISSIONS POLLUTION AND SAFETY ISSUE THAT CAN BE SOLVED. PLEASE FORCE A RECALL. Engine severely smokes/stalls leaving people stranded on highways. When stuck, coolant is sucked into the engine mixing with the oil. No warning. The car
These cars have a known wrist pin failure, mercedes refuses to cover the cost of repairs as its not a recall. My vehicle is the specific model and year this is known for, and my car is making these piston slapping sounds, worse everyday. Worse on deceleration, goes away when warmed up, just like the reports. I am afraid I'll lose power while driving and hurt myself or others.
The problem is actually a manufacturing defect in the wrist pins. The defective parts are in engines made before April 20, 2015 which is mine. If left unrepaired, it causes premature wear in the cylinder walls. The issue on my car been confirmed by mb dealer.
