RADIO, BLUETOOTH TELEPHONY COMMAND CONTROL STOPPED WORKING (ERROR MESSAGE SAYS 'DEVICE UNAVAILABLE'); ON MAR 19 2018, MERCEDES BENZ DEALER (CHICAGO) REPRESENTATIVE SAID THE CAR NEEDS SOFTWARE UPDATE BUT COULD NOT SAY WHEN THE UPDATE WILL BE AVAILABLE. LACK OF HANDS-FREE TELEPHONY MAKES DRIVING UNSAFE.
DONT KNOW WHICH CATEGORY IT FALLS. I BOUGHT THIS CAR IN AUGUST 2015. IN ONE WEEK IT WOULD NOT START EVEN. TOWED TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID, THE GROUNDING SCREW WAS LOOSE. I AM SO SURPRISED THAT A CAR COMES OUT FROM FACTORY WITH A LOOSE GROUNDING ISSUE. IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS, THE CAR JUST STALLED AT THE SIGNAL. ALL LIGHTS CAME UP. I HAD THE ECO START/STOP MODE ON. THIS HAPPENED 3 TIMES AND FINALLY I SHUT THE ECO START/STOP MODE DOWN. IT IS SO DANGEROUS THAT IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, WHEN PEOPLE ARE READY TO DRIVE ON CHANGE OF SIGNAL, THE CAR WONT MOVE, PEOPLE ARE HONKING AND FRUSTRATED AND I AM TOO. LOOKED ONLINE AND SO MANY PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING THE SAME. THE WHOLE OF DASHBOARD LIGHTS UP LIKE WHEN A CAR STALLS. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. ANYBODY WAITING BEHIND YOU CAN TAKE THE PEDAL FROM THE BRAKE AND SMASH INTO YOU. SIMILARLY, FOR LAST 2 MONTHS, I HAVE NOTICED THAT THERE IS A JUMPING NATURE WHEN YOU TAKE LEG OF THE BRAKE AT THE SIGNAL. THAT SCARES ME AS WELL. FROM THE FEEL OF IT, I FEEL THIS IS PRIMARILY A SOFTWARE ISSUE WHERE THE COMPUTER THINKS IT IS IN SOME MODE WHEN IT IS NOT OR SOMETHING AND SHUTS EVERYTHING DOWN AS A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE OR SOMETHING
COLLISION ASSIST INOPERATIVE DASH LIGHT CAME ON WHILE HIGHWAY DRIVING FOLLOWED BY A LOSS OF POWER AND ACCELERATION. VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED TO BE DRIVABLE.
MY NAVIGATION AND CENTRAL CONTROL PANEL NOT FUNCTIONING AND FREEZING WITH MESSAGE "PLEASE WAIT". CAUSED SO MANY SAFETY PROBLEMS, INCLUDING BACKUP CAMERA NOT WORKING, TEMPERATURE CONTROL AND AIRFLOW SCREEN NOT SHOWING UP, BLUETOOTH PHONE SYSTEM NOT WORKING TO TAKE HAND-FREE CALLS, AND NO RADIO STATION IS WORKING AND/OR ONLY ONE UNKNOWN RADIO STATION TUNEUP BUT CAN'T SWITCH TO ANOTHER STATION AT ALL TO LISTEN HIGHWAY TRAFFIC INFORMATION. IT'S BEEN ALREADY 3 WEEKS AND I VISITED DEALERSHIP AND CALLED MERCEDES BENZ CUSTOMER SERVICES BUT NO HELP/SOLUTION AVAILABLE SO FAR. ASKED ME TO JUST WAIT FEW MORE DAYS.
MERCEDES BENZ WONT HONOR THE RECALLS. VEHICLE WAS IMPORTED (NOT BY ME) FROM CANADA. MERCEDES BENZ CONSIDERS THIS VEHICLE TO BE "GRAY MARKET VEHICLE" AND WONT SERVICE THE VEHICLE FOR RECALLS. THERE ARE UP TO EIGHT (8) SAFETY RECALLS AND THEY MAKE THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO DRIVE. VEHICLE STILL UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY. I HAVE CONTACTED THE BUREAU OF AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR, WHO REFERRED ME TO THE NEW MOTOR VEHICLE BOARD WHO REFERRED ME TO THE NHTSA. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER,
MY CAR RECEIVED THE CALL MESSAGE OF POTENTIAL AIRBAG HAZARD IN JANUARY, WHICH WOULD LEAD TO DEATH IF THE AIRBAG POPPED UP. HOWEVER, I HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACED IN BANZ STORE FOR FOUR MONTHSIF THERE IS A SUDDEN ACCIDENT, THE AIRBAG WILL POP UP AND KILL PEOPLE. I WOULD LIKE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT SUCH A SERVICE. A DELAY OF ONE DAY IS VERY LIKELY TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT
THE VEHICLE'S COLLISION PREVENTION ASSISTANT PLUS OPTION OFTEN DISPLAYS DURING DRIVING. THIS CAUSES THE CAR TO LOSE ACCELERATION AND PREVENTS YOU FROM ACCELERATING REGARDLESS OF HOW HARD YOU PRESS THE GAS PEDAL. THIS HAPPENS FOR NO APPARENT REASON AND OCCURS WHILE IN THE MIDST OF DRIVING, USUALLY WITHIN A BUSY INTERSECTION AND HAS ALSO HAPPENED TO ME SEVERAL TIMES WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. I AM VERY AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE. THE ONLY WAY TO CORRECT THIS WHEN IT OCCURS IS TO PULL OFF THE ROAD, SHUT THE CAR DOWN, AND RESTART THE ENGINE AFTER A FEW MINUTES. MY CAR WAS SERVICED ON 1/13/18 AND WHEN TESTED, NO EVIDENCE OF THIS WAS FOUND. SINCE THEN, THIS MALFUNCTION HAPPENED ON 1/14 AND AGAIN TODAY 1/15. THIS MALFUNCTION HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE CATASTROPHIC. I'VE ADVISED THE DEALER THIS NEEDS TO BE SERVICED AND FIXED, OTHERWISE WE WILL BE ASKING FOR A NEW VEHICLE FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE LEASE. I AM VERY FEARFUL TO DRIVE THE CAR, ESPECIALLY WITH OUR TWO YOUNG CHILDREN.
I WAS DRIVING AT APPROX. 20-25 MPH DURING DAY LIGHT AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THERE WAS LIGHT BLINKED ON MY DASHBOARD FOR APPLYING THE BRAKES BECAUSE OF ANOTHER VEHICLE AHEAD OF ME. I APPLIED THE BRAKES AS WELL AS BRAKE ASSIST PLUS SYSTEM GOT ACTIVATED AS WELL. BUT STILL MY VEHICLE END UP HITTING THE VEHICLE AHEAD OF ME. THE BRAKE ASSIST PLUS SYSTEM WHICH IS CLAIMED BY MERCEDEZ TO TAKE BRAKE AUTOMATICALLY TO BRING THE SYSTEM TO HALT IN CASE OF EMERGENCY DID NOT WORK AND IT END UP HITTING ANOTHER VEHICLE IN FRONT OF MY VEHICLE

MY CAR WOULDN'T START. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A RECALL PART SINCE FEBRUARY. LAST NIGHT I HAD AN SRS MALFUNCTION PASSENGER SEAT AIRBAG. MERCEDES TOLD ME TODAY I DON'T HAVE A RECALL FOR AIRBAGS BUT I THINK IT IS A TAKATA AIRBAG PROBLEM THAT'S HASN'T BEEN REPORTED FOR MY VEHICLE YET.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 MERCEDES-BENZ C300. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, AN UNIDENTIFIED WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OVERHEATING AND NEEDED TO BE TURNED OFF. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE. AFTER TEN MINUTES, THE CONTACT RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND DROVE AWAY. CALSTAR MOTORS IN GLENDALE, CALIFORNIA WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REQUESTED THAT THE VEHICLE BE BROUGHT IN FOR SERVICE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 20,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
ENGINE RANDOMLY STALLS AFTER SITTING AT RED LIGHT/OR WHILE IN TRAFFIC. ALL WARNING/DASHBOARD LIGHTS COME ON AND YOU CAN ONLY START THE CAR BY PUTTING IT IN PARK, THEN PUSHING START. THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 10K MILES. DEALERSHIP CAN'T FIND CODE OR REPLICATE THE ISSUE. INTERNET SEARCHES INDICATE IT IS AN ISSUE AND OTHER MAKES AND MODELS HAVE BEEN RECALLED, BUT WITHOUT A CODE THE DEALERSHIP DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. I WAS NEARLY REAR-ENDED BECAUSE IT DOESN'T HAPPEN UNTIL YOU TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE BRAKE AND PRESS THE GAS TO MOVE FORWARD, AND THAT'S WHEN THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF COMPLETELY. THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY AND HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES.
MY SUNROOF EXPLODED/SHATTERED WHILE I WAS DRIVING TODAY, TRAVELING AT A SPEED OF 45MPH ON CITY ROAD AFTER TURNING A CORNER. OUTSIDE TEMP WAS AROUND 85 AND INSIDE CAR WAS 75. CAR HAS AROUND 6800 MILES, AND THERE WAS NOTHING THAT HIT THE SUNROOF. SCARY SITUATION FOR THE DRIVER! CAR IS CURRENTLY UNDER WARRANTY AND AT THE DEALER FOR REPAIR, BUT THEY WANT MY INSURANCE TO PAY. I INSIST THIS BE INVESTIGATED BECAUSE I BELIEVE IT TO BE A MANUFACTURE DEFECT

I WAS DRIVING 580-E AND MERGING ONTO I-5 S WHEN I HIT A HUMONGOUS POT HOLE WITH MY LEFT FONT TIRE CAUSING IT TO IMMEDIATELY BLOW OUT. THAT IN-TURN CAUSED MY STABILITY TRACKING TO ENGAGE, WHICH CAUSED ME TO SLOW DOWN DRASTICALLY. THAT CAUSED ANOTHER VEHICLE TO NEAR MISS RAMMING ME IN THE BACK AND ME SIDE SWIPING ANOTHER VEHICLE. I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH AND ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND HAD TO IMMEDIATELY PULL OVER TO A VERY NARROW SHOULDER OF THE ROAD WITH MY EMERGENCY FLASHERS BLINKING. TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE, MY SELF AND OTHER PASSENGERS IN THE CAR, I HAD TO DRIVE APPROXIMATELY 0.5 MILES TO THE NEXT EXIT (67) TO SAFELY GET MY VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD TO A SAFE LOCATION. I THEN CALLED A TOW TRUCK TO TOW MY VEHICLE BACK TO SANTA ROSA WHERE I LIVE TO GET THE TIRE REPLACED AND FRONT BUMP REPAIRED. I AM UNSURE OF THE CAUSE OF THE UNSAFE CONDITION OF THE HIGHWAY OR WHAT CAUSED THE POT HOLE. THERE WERE SEVERAL CARS STRANDED WITH DAMAGES TO THEIR VEHICLES AS WELL. ONE PERSON CAME TO THE SAME EXIT (FOOD MART ON PATTERSON ROAD) WITH A BLOWN OUT TIRE AS WELL. I HAVE HER CONTACT INFORMATION IF YOU NEED TO CONTACT HER.

NEW CAR PURCHASES IN 2015, FEWER THAN 25000 MILES. WHILE DRIVING LOCALLY, "COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST" MALFUNCTION AND "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHTS LIT UP THE DASH BOARD. VEHICLE WOULD NOT PICK UP SPEED AND DRIVING WAS WEIRD. WAS ABLE TO DRIVE TO DEALERSHIP WHICH IS ABOUT 8 MILES AWAY. SITUATION COULD BE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS IF HAPPENS ON A HIGHWAY AND IT WARRANTS ATTENTION. *TR
WHILE DRIVING, THE CAR LOSES THROTTLE AND THE ENGINE DOES NOT FUNCTION AT ALL. THE FOLLOWING ERROR SHOWS ON THE DASH: "INOPERATIVE SEE OPERATOR'S MANUAL". WHEN THIS HAPPENS, YOUR ONLY CHOICE IS TO COAST TO A SAFE PLACE. AFTER RESTARTING THE CAR, IT WILL FUNCTION FOR A SHORT TIME, ONLY TO REOCCUR. THIS OBVIOUSLY CAN BE DEADLY IF YOU CANNOT GET OFF THE HIGHWAY BEFORE THE CAR COMES TO A STOP. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. *TR

FAULT OCCURRED AT 60 MPH DURING A PASSING MANEUVER ON A 2 LANE ROAD. AGAIN, WE WERE PUT IN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. THIS IS AN UNSAFE VEHICLE. There seems to be a continuous gas smell in my car and I see some class action law suits for the same problem but dealership says there is no recall- synopsis of class action below February 26, 2021 — A Mercedes C300 fuel smell has led to a class action lawsuit that alleges 2015-2019 (W205) C-Class vehicles have defects that cause fuel leaks and odors. According to the Mercedes-Benz class action lawsuit, fuel can leak into the engine compartment from fuel line connections to the fuel pump at the rear of the engine compartment.
