Light came on tonight and stayed on, Collinsion prevention assist inoperable. Car has been involved in any collision for this system to quit out of the blue
On August 18th, 2021 the roof panel between the windshield and the panoramic roof completely detached while driving on the highway. Luckily no accidents or injuries are reported. Safety recall for this issue has been issued since March 2021 but the factory hasn't produced the parts to send to the dealerships to make the necessary repair to this day. The car is currently unusable and unsafe to drive. Even if the dealership attempts to re-attach another panel they won't have the right adhesive, instructions, and panels that the engineers in the Mercedes factory redesigned to remedy this issue.

For the past several weeks the seat belt warning light goes on and the chime sounds intermittently while I am driving with the driver seat belt engaged. Also; while this is happening, the seat belt pretensioner repeatedly deactivates and activates. The vehicle is available for inspection at my home in Pleasant View, Utah. Can my safety be compromised if the pretensioner is not activated? Will the driver air bag function if it thinks the seat is empty? The Mercedes Dealer was no help; all the Customer Service person could tell me was there was not a Recall on my vehicle. "Just make an appointment and we will do a Diagnostic Inspection for $179." I have made an appointment with my local Mechanic on Thursday, July 29, and hope that he can fix it.
I was in a car accident on June 30,2021. A Car collided into my drivers side at the front left wheel. My airbags did not deploy and i was injured. my injuries consisted of neck, shoulder, and lower back. I was also thrown to the passenger side of the vehicle because my seat belt did not seem to lock. The electronic rear axle differential lock is inoperative; NHTSA previously issued a recall but I was never given a date to fix by the manufacturer.

SO I JUST GOT MY MERCEDES BENZ C300 4MATIC I ONLY HAVE 44,711 MILES ON IT AND I BARELY DRIVE IT, SO TODAY I WAS DRIVING AND THE WHOLE DAY THINGS WERE GREAT AND I STOPPED AT A STORE GOT BACK IN AND IT SAYS 'POWER STEERING MALFUNCTION' I WAS ON A STREET IN THE CITY, I'M ON CONFUSED ON HOW THIS IS HAPPENING TO A CAR I JUST GOT FROM THE DEALERSHIP THAT IS PRACTICALLY NEW, NOW LET ME MENTION THAT THIS IS A ON AND OFF ISSUE THROUGH OUT THIS WHOLE DAY IT HAS CAME ON AND OFF TWICE
My c300 2017 only had 55k and suddenly the engine light on, when I check it show that I need Positive Crankcase ventilation valve replace. it cost $2300.

THIS CAR IS NOT EQUIPPED WITH ENOUGH PROTECTION FOR THE FRONT RADIATORS TO PREVENT DAMAGE FROM DEBRIS. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE FOR 2017 AND UP VEHICLES. THE RADIATOR SEEMS TO BE VERY FRAGILE DUE TO THE DESIGN AND THERE HAVE BEEN MANY REPORTS OF THE ISSUE, BUT CLAIMS ARE DENIED DUE TO BEING 'ROAD DEBRIS' BUT MERCEDES-BENZ FAILS TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE WITH MULTIPLE CLASSES OF THEIR CARS. MY CAR HAS 27K MILES AND IS JUST OUTSIDE THE WARRANTY PERIOD. THE RADIATOR IS LEAKING IN MULTIPLE PLACES.

A FUEL LINE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT JUST ABOVE THE SKID PLATE ON THE DRIVES SIDE JUST RIGHT OF THE FRONT WHEEL WELL LEAKS FUEL WHERE THE LINE IS CRIMPED COMING FROM THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP. FUEL COLLECTS ON THE SKID PLATE AND WHEN A STOP AT IDEA PRODUCES A STRONG FUEL SMELL IN THE CABIN OF THE CAR
WHEN THE CAR IS IN THE A FEATURE, WHERE IT TURNS ON AND OFF WHEN NOT IN MOTION, IT GETS STUCK IN THAT MODE AS IF A MAGNET IS HOLDING IT IN THAT POSITION. IT WILL NOT MOVE, IT STALLS. I TURN IT OFF AND TURN IT BACK ON AND SOMETIMES IT STILL WILL NOT MOVE, SOMETIMES, IT WILL NOT TURN BACK ON. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON SEVERAL DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. ONCE, I PULLED TO THE SIDE OF MY MAILBOX TO PICK UP MAIL, AND ANOTHER OCCASION I PULLED INTO MY GARAGE, AND IT STOPPED, AND WOULD NOT TURN ON. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS, I WOULD HATE TO BE IN TRAFFIC, RAILWAY CROSSING, IR STOP SIGN AND THIS OCCURRED. PEOPLES LIVES HAVE BEEN LOST DUE TO THIS ISSUE. ONE LADY WAS HIT BY A TRAIN WHEN THIS SAME SITUATION OCCURRED AND LOST HER LIFE. I AM VERY CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY AND OF MY GRANDKIDS WHOM I TRANSPORT IN THIS CAR. IT ALSO SEEMS THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE GEARS. SOMETIMES, I PUT IT IN REVERSE AND IT SITS THERE. I PUT IT IN DRIVE AND IT WILL NOT MOVE. I FEEL VERY UNSAFE IN THIS VEHICLE. PLEASE HELP.
THE WHEELS ON MY TIRES WILL CRACK AT THE SLIGHTEST STRESS FROM THE ROAD. IT COULD BE A BUMP, A TINY POT HOLE, EVEN A STICK, AND THESE TIRES WILL BECOME DEFECTIVE, EITHER BY CRACKING, BECOMING FLAT OR THE WHEEL BECOMING COMPLETELY IMMOBLIZED. I HAVE BEEN STRANDED ON THE ROAD IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT FOR HOURS BECAUSE OF THESE DEFECTIVE TIRES. I'VE COME INTO WORK UN-SHOWERED WITH NO SLEEP, BECAUSE I WAS STRANDED FOR SOMETIMES UP TO 12 HOURS BEFORE I WOULD GET HELP. ITS HAPPENED AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS. THERE IS NO WAY THESE TIRES PASSED EVEN BASIC INSPECTION. THEY ARE DANGER TO ANYONE USING THEM.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND A CASE WAS OPENED REGARDING THE MATTER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,000.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY DOING ABOUT 55 MPH AND IT FELT LIKE SOMETHING FELL OUT OF THE SKY AND LANDED ON THE CAR, I INSTANTLY THOUGHT THAT I HIT SOMETHING BUT I DIDN'T IT WAS FOLLOWED BY A LOUD SOUND THAT SOUNDED LIKE A GUNSHOT FOLLOWED BY THE ENTIRE GLASS ROOF PANEL EXPLODING AND CRASHING DOWN INTO IN ME CAUSE MULTIPLE CUTS AND CAUSED ME TO SWERVE ON THE HIGHWAY. ## VIN PASSED ## MERCEDES-BENZ 2017 ##
CAR STARTED TO VIBRATE AT IDLE THEN GRADUATED TO SHAKING AT ALL TIMES EVEN DURING ACCELERATION. ACCELERATION VERY SLOW, STUCK FEELING. BROUGHT TO MERCEDES AT 28K MILES. THEY STATED IT IS A CRACKED PISTON IN CYLINDER 1. THIS IS APPARENTLY A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS ENGINE BUT THERE ARE NO RECALLS YET.
The contact owns a 2017 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated that the driver’s and passenger’s side front seat belts failed to retract completely upon release. Due to the failure, the seat belts would fall to the floor upon release from the buckle. The contact then received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V032000 (Seat Belts). The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer and had the recall serviced however, upon return of the vehicle, the failure persisted. The contact was willing to supply the part but not the labor costs, he was informed that the retractor assembly needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that the seat belt retractors were not under recall. The contact was provided an estimate for the repair which he declined. Mercedes was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

CAR IS A 2017 MERCEDES C300 COUPE AND HAS HAD TO REPLACE WINDSHIELD 3 TIMES. PROBLEMS WITH WINDSHIELD CRACKING. 1ST REPAIR CAR CAME FROM DEALERSHIP WITH A LONG CRACK ON DRIVERS SIDE, 2ND CAR WAS AT SERVICE CENTER FOR 3 WEEKS TO A MONTH AND CUSTOMER CAME TO PICK UP THE CAR AND LONG CRACK ACROSS THE TOP OF WINDSHIELD. HAPPENED WHILE IN MB POSSESION
PISTON 1 CRACKED AT 48,000 MILES. MB TOLD OWNER THAT THE ENGINE HAD TO BE REPLACED BUT WHEN FINDING OUT THAT THE WARRANTY WAS UP AT 50,000 THEY REPLACED THE PISTON INSTEAD. CAR IS STILL SHAKING AT IDLE AND ROUGH RIDE. ENGINE SHAKES AND JERKS.
GAS LEAKING IS COMMON ISSUE AND WHEN TURNING CAR ON THERE IS A GAS SMELL. WHEN TURNING HEAT ON THERE IS A GAS SMELL. MERCEDES BENZ SAID THERE IS A LOT OF ISSUES WITH THE CLAMPS. IT IS A COMMON ISSUE. CAN CAUSE FIRE.
2017 MERCEDES C300 COUPE 49,000 MILES. THIS CAR HAS BEEN TO THE SERVICE CENTER 10 TIMES FOR ENGINE PROBLEMS " VIBRATIING, JERKING, SHAKING AND TICKING" LAST VISIT AT HOEHN MERCEDES,. SERVICE TECH SAID THAT THESE ENGINES AUTOMATICALLY VIBRATE AND JERK AND THAT IS JUST THE NATURE OF THE BEAST?? WTHECK???!! HAVE ALREADY HAD PISTON 1 CRACK AND BREAK, MECHANIC NEVER FOUND THE BROKEN PIECE. CAR IS MUCH WORSE SINCE THAT REPAIR. TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2017 MERCEDES BENZ C43 AMG. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 63 MPH IN THE RAIN, LOSS CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AS IT SLED TO THE LEFT AND CRASHED INTO THE GUARD RAIL. THE INCIDENT OF MARCH 12TH DID NOT FEEL LIKE I HAD HYDRO-PLANNED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SEVERAL WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED SUCH AS AIR BAGS FAILURE, SHOCK FAILURE, SUSPENSION FAILURE AND TRACK FAILURE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND NO POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE'S DRIVER'S SIDE WAS DAMAGED UNDER THE FRONT BUMPER AND THE FRAME WAS DAMAGED BEYOND REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTO BODY REPAIR FACILITY WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE STEERING WAS EXTENSIVELY DAMAGED AND A FAILURE CAUSE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE CONTACT RESEARCHED THE FAILURE ON-LINE AND BELIEVES THAT THE ELECTRIC STEERING WAS DEFECTIVE AND MAY BE A CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL FOR ELECTRICAL STEERING. DURING THE INSPECTION OF THE VEHICLE BY PENSKE AUTO COLLISION CENTER, THE TECHNICIAN COULD NOT TELL IF THE STEERING DAMAGE WAS SUSTAINED DURING THE COLLISION OR AS A RESULT OF A DEFECT. THEY ALSO FOUND DAMAGE TO THE REAR DRIVE UNIT ALTHOUGH, AS VERY VISIBLE IN THE PHOTOS, THE VEHICLE STRUCK THE BARRIER WITH THE FRONT LEFT (DRIVER'S SIDE) PORTION OF THE FRONT BUMPER. THE REAR OF THE CAR NEVER SLAMMED INTO THE BARRIER BUT DID SCRAPE ALONG THE DRIVER'S SIDE MOMENTARILY BUT THERE WAS NO IMPACT. THE COLLISION CENTER COULD NOT ACCOUNT FOR THE DAMAGE TO THE REAR DRIVE UNIT. IN RESEARCH, I FOUND A FEW MENTIONS AND COMPLAINTS OF THE REAR AXLE DISENGAGING WHICH COULD CAUSE LOSS OF CONTROL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED BY THE CONTACT'S INSURANCE COMPANY. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,000. *DT*JB
EXHAUST WAS COMING INTO THE CAR FOR MONTH. WHEN I STARTED THE CAR TO LET IT WARM UP IN WINTER MONTHS, I WOULD GET IN AND WONDER WHY I SMELLED GAS OR FUMES. FIGURED IT WAS FROM SITTING. NO DASHBOARD LIGHTS CAME ON, NO C02 SENSORS IF THERE ARE ANY, NOTHING CAME ON IN THE INTERIOR TO WARN ME THERE WAS AN INSANE. ONE PERSON TOLD ME THE PART WAS 'DEFECTIVE' ANOTHER PERSON TOLD MY BOYFRIEND THE PART WAS 'SPLIT MOST LIKELY FROM ROAD CONDITIONS' - THIS PUT MY LIFE AND MY 10 YEAR OLD'S LIFE AT RISK. IT REALLY NEEDS TO BE CHECKED OUT BECAUSE THE C300 COUPE IS RIDDLED WITH SMALL IDDUES

WHEEL LIPS ON THIS VEHICLE DEFORM WITH LITTLE PROVOCATION RESULTING IN RAPID AIR LOSS, LOSS OF HANDLING AND IN EXTREME CASES A CRASH. THE SHAPE OF THESE WHEELS DEVIATES FROM OTHER ALLOY WHEELS IN A WAY THAT PROMOTES THIS BEHAVIOR. THE CURVE OF THE RIM BARREL BETWEEN THE LIPS (ALSO KNOW AS THE BELL) IS MUCH SHALLOWER THAN MANY OTHER WHEELS. THE RESULT IS THAT THE ANGLE AT WHICH THE BARREL MEETS THE LIPS IS CLOSER TO A RIGHT ANGLE THAN COMMON. THE BARREL MEETING THE LIP AT AN ANGLE CLOSER TO PARALLEL WITH THE PAVEMENT GREATLY INCREASE THE RISK THAT SUDDEN DEFLATION COULD OCCUR RESULTING IN THE AFOREMENTIONED SAFETY ISSUES.
THE 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C300 VEHICLE SUFFERED A COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER/ELECTRICS WHILE IN MOTION AT SPEED AND IN TRAFFIC, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO UNEXPECTEDLY STOP ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE LOSS OF ALL ELECTRICAL SUPPLY LEAVES THE VEHICLE IMMOBILE, WITHOUT WARNING INDICATORS AND CANNOT BE MOVED. THE FIRST INCIDENT WAS AROUND 5PM IN A BUSY ROAD JUNCTION IN THE DARK, WITH LIMITED LIGHTING. AS THE VEHICLE IS BLACK COLORED IT IT IS DIFFICULT TO SEE IN THESE CIRCUMSTANCES. THE SECOND INCIDENT WAS AT ANOTHER BUSY ROAD JUNCTION IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, AT MIDDAY ON A SATURDAY. ON BOTH OCCASIONS THE POLICE HAD TO ATTEND AS THE IMMOBILIZED VEHICLE POSED A SERIOUS HAZARD WITH A RISK OF CAUSING A COLLISION TO OTHER ROAD USERS. THE APPROXIMATE TIMES TO GET THE VEHICLE REMOVED FROM THE ROAD IN THESE TWO INCIDENTS WERE BETWEEN 45 - 60 MINUTES. THE PERIOD BETWEEN THE TWO INCIDENTS WAS 11 DAYS. THE DAY FOLLOWING THEN FIRST INCIDENT, THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A MERCEDES DEALERSHIP, WHO HAD THE VEHICLE IN THEIR POSSESSION FOR FIVE DAYS. INITIALLY THEY STATED THAT THEY HAD NOT FOUND A CAUSE FOR THE LOSS OF ALL ELECTRICAL POWER IN THE VEHICLE. SUBSEQUENTLY WHEN PRESSED ON THE MATTER, THEY STATED THE CAUSE WAS A CONNECTION PROBLEM TO THE POSITIVE TERMINAL ON THE BATTERY. IN GOOD FAITH THE VEHICLE WAS COLLECTED BY ME AND DRIVEN WITHOUT ANY APPARENT PROBLEM FOR FOUR DAYS, PRIOR TO THE SECOND INCIDENT. THE MILEAGE DRIVEN IN THAT PERIOD WAS LESS THAN 100 MILES IN TOTAL. THIS VEHICLE POSES A SERIOUS RISK TO THE DRIVER, PASSENGERS AND OTHER ROAD USERS.
SUDDEN ACCELERATION AFTER PULLING VERY SLOWLY INTO PARKING SPACE. ALMOST STOPPED. CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED, JUMPED A CURB FROM, WENT UP AN EMBANKMENT AND HIT A TREE. WAS ABLE TO REVERSE AND BACK DOWN. IT WILL TAKE A MONTH FOR BODY WORK. NOTIFIED MERCEDES DEALER. THEY WILL RUN DIAGNOSTICS ON JAN. 7.
IN LATE OCTOBER 2019, I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AT 70 MPH. MY PANORAMIC SUNROOF SUDDENLY BLOW UP WITH A LOUD SOUND. MERCEDES CLAIMED THAT A ROCK OR SOMEONE SHOT BBGUN AT MY CAR. HOWEVER, I READ FROM MULTIPLE SOURCES THAT THIS HAPPEN OFTEN WITH THE MERCEDES'S PANORAMIC ROOF. LUCKY FOR ME, MY FAMILY WAS NOT IN THE CAR AT THE TIME.

WHEN IDLING AT THE LIGHT. THE CAR WOULD SHUT ITSELF OFF. ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS WILL COME ON. I THEN HAVE TO RESTART THE CAR WITH THE PUSH START TO RESET IT. THEN IT'LL WORK FINE. I HAVE BEEN TO MERCEDES DEALERSHIP IN NEW ROCHELLE FOR FOUR TIMES ABOUT THIS ISSUE. THEY CHANGED THE BATTERY THE FIRST TIME. TWO DAYS LATER THE SITUATION OCCURRED AGAIN. THEN THE SECOND AND THIRD TIME THEY GAVE ME BACK THE CAR AND SAID THEY DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING WRONG BECAUSE NO CODES POPPED UP. BOTH TIMES I TOOK THE CAR BACK AND THE SITUATION OCCURRED AGAIN. THIS PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED OVER 30 TIMES SINCE OVER 29,000 MILES. THE DEALERSHIP IS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE ISSUE AND RIGHT NOW I AM IN A LOANER VEHICLE ON THE FOURTH TIME THAT I HAVE GIVEN MY CAR IN FOR SERVICE BECAUSE OF THIS SITUATION. THE INCIDENT IS DANGEROUS IN THAT ONE TIME I WAS IN AN INTERSECTION AND IT SHUT OFF ON ME. CARS GOING THE OPPOSITE WAY ALMOST HIT ME BECAUSE OF MY REACTION TIME TO PUT THE CAR ON START AND THEN RESTART THE CAR. THIS CAN BE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS FOR POSSIBLE ACCIDENTS. ON 7/30/18 I WAS STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET AFTER THE COOLANT MALFUNCTION LIGHT CAME ON. THE CAR BEGAN OVERHEATING, AND THERE WAS NO AC. I WAITED FOR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE MORE THAN 3 HOURS. I WAS INFORMED OF THE INCORRECT POSITIONING OF THE ALTERNATOR FROM MANUFACTURING, WHICH RESULTED IN MULTIPLE LIGHTS ON CLUSTER. THEY FOUND THE ENGINE BELT FELL OFF & REPLACED THE V-BELT. THEY PERFORMED LI13.22-P-060187, AND RELEASED STRESS OF ALTERNATOR AND CORRECTED TORQUE. THEY ALSO WORKED ON A CAMPAIGN/RECALL (#2018070005) I HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF. ON 3/15/19 DURING THE SCHEDULED 20K SERVICE, THEY TESTED BATTERY TEST CODE WITH CABIN FILTERS WIPERS AND BRAKE FLUID SERVICE AND PERFORMED A VEHICLE INSPECTION. ON 3/19/19, 4 DAYS AFTER THE SCHEDULED 20K SERVICE, I WAS STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF US1 DURING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC ON MY WAY TO WORK. THE COOLANT LIGHT CAME AGAIN. THANKFULLY, I SAFELY AVOIDED AN ACCIDENT AFTER THE CAR TURNED OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. THE REPORT SHOWED A WEAK CRANK & BATTERY MESSAGE ON THE CLUSTER DISPLAY. THEY TESTED THE BATTERY AND FOUND CODE HR250BT-DAD4LFB STATING, 'REPLACE BATTERY'. THEY REMOVED A0019820208 DATE 45/16 AND INSTALLED A0019829108 DATE 03/18. THE DRIVE BELT HAD COME OFF THE DRIVE SYSTEM & FOUND LI13.22-P-060187, WHICH STATED THEY NEEDED TO PERFORM AN ALIGNMENT PROCEDURE OF THE ALTERNATOR AND INSTALLED A NEW BELT FOR THE 2ND TIME. THE BELT ACTUALLY CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE TENSIONING DEVICE, WHICH RESULTED IN THEM REPLACING THE TENSIONER, AND PERFORMING THE INSTRUCTION FOR LI. THEY TEST DROVE THE CAR & SAID IT WAS FIXED. ON 4/4/19, JUST 3 DAYS AFTER PICKING UP MY CAR, IT TURNED OFF ON MY AGAIN IN THE MIDDLE OF US1. THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON AND A MESSAGE POPPED UP STATING THAT THE SYSTEM WOULD SHUT DOWN IN 3 MINUTES. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT ON A CONGESTED ROAD.
VEHICLE JERKS VERY VIOLENTLY WHEN ACCELERATING OR USING PADDLE SHIFTERS (IN MANUAL MODE). OTHER OWNERS SEEM TO ENCOUNTER SAME ISSUE
I was driving on a straight away doing the speed limit which is reported seconds before the car crash. The steering wheel turned to the left really hard out of no where and wouldn’t let me gain control over the car again. I was sober it was 9am and I was aware of my driving. I ended up spinning out and landed in the ditch feet away from the light pole. I made it know to everyone what happened, but they looked at me crazy. I stopped driving that car and sent it back to Mercedes to get a detailed inspection. Which lasted about 30 days for them to get back to me about what happened. When I received the call to get my car they didn’t provide any information about the incident. Instead they just sent it to corporate and left me in the dark. I was in pain during this whole time. I was couldn’t find a lawyer that was willing to help. It’s been three years since the incident and I will have to live with pain for the rest of my life. It’s not fair that we need thousands of dollars to be heard. I have all communication and documentation that was given during the time of incident.
