Rear K Frame front part has completely rusted out. Mount ripped trail arm. Both rear tires were ready to shoot off. This was confirmed by a mechanic when the car was being serviced after the check engine light came on one day before taking it to be serviced. The car is not drivable. It only has 60,000 miles on it. It was always serviced at the Mercedes dealers. It appears as a defective part.
The contact owns a 2010 Mercedes- Benz E 350. The contact stated that while driving there was an undetermined abnormal noise detected. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was informed the sub frame was corroded The independent dealer was contacted. The vehicle was diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified electronically however no response was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 171,000.
The contact owns a 2010 Mercedes-Benz E350. The contact stated that while exiting a car wash, the brake pedal was engaged, and the brake pedal went to the floorboard. The contact drove the vehicle home. The contact inspected the vehicle and found that the brake lines were corroded and leaking throughout the brake hardline onto the heat shield. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 125,000.
THE VEHICLE SLAMS ITSELF INTO PARK WHEN MOVING UNDER 5MPH. THIS MOSTLY OCCURS WHEN TEMPERATURES ARE ABOVE ABOUT 75-80 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT.

THE FAILURE ALSO OCCURRED WHILE REVERSING, OR WHILE MAKING A STOP. NO WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO TWO INDEPENDENT MECHANICS AND THE MECHANICS INFORMED HIM THAT THERE WERE NO CODES RETRIEVED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,000.
There’s a squeakly sound coming from my brakes. I have to start breaking very early in order for to be safe. It you feels very dangerous to drive this vehicle. I had my brakes change twice in the same year because of the same problem and it has not fix the problem.
WHILE UNDERWAY LOST ALL STEERING. STEERING WHEEL WENT TO CENTER AND WOULD NOT TURN WITHOUT EXTREME EXTREME EXCESSIVE FORCE. REPLACED POWER STEERING PUMP. ON ROAD TEST FOUND SAME CONDITION. REMOVED HIGH-PRESSURE LINE FROM PUMP TO STEERING RACK AND FOUND PLASTIC LINER FROM THE RUBBER SECTION OF THE HIGH-PRESSURE LINE BROKE FREE AND WAS FORCED INTO THE STEERING RACK CLOGGING THE STEERING LINE. THIS WAS CLOSE TO A HIGH SPEED COLLISION.
BOUGHT THE CAR TWO DAYS AGO THE THE AIR RIDE START LEAKING
MERCEDES DEALER INSPECTED THE CAR. FOUND THE REAR SUB-FRAME SEVERELY RUSTED AT WELDS. HE ADVISED THIS WAS AN UNSAFE CONDITION AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED SOON. SERVICE WRITER SAID THIS WAS AN UNSAFE CONDITION. ONE OF THE WELDS IS ALMOST COMPLETELY FAILING. THERE IS AN ACTUAL SAFETY HAZARD IF THE SUBFRAME FAILS COMPLETELY. THIS CONDITION HAS BEEN OCCURRING OVER A PERIOD OF YEARS. THERE IS NO RECALL ON THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM. IT HAS BEEN WELL REPORTED ON MANY INTERNET SITES.
HEARING LOUD CLUNKING NOISE FROM BACK. CROSS MEMBER SUBFRAME. I FEEL LIKE MERCEDES SHOULD REIMBURSE ME.... CAR IS ONLY 10 YEARS OLD MY 2005 FRAME IS PERFECT. THIS IS A MANUFACTURER ISSUE WITH THIS PARTICULAR YEAR..
THE CARS AIR SUSPENSION HAS GONE OUT WHILE DRIVING ITS SAGGING TO FENDERS. IT'S VERY DANGEROUS.
IF I'M COMING TO A STOP AT A LIGHT OR A STOP SIGN, THE CAR THROWS ITSELF INTO PARK BEFORE I COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. IT HAS HAPPENED INTERMITTENTLY. IT HAPPENS IN SPEEDS OF LESS THAN 5MPH. WHEN I TURN THE CAR OFF AND RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE PROBLEM GOES AWAY. THERE ISN'T A SPECIFIC TEMPERATURE OR TIME OF DAY WHEN IT OCCURS. IT JUST HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY. I HAVE ALSO READ A TECH SERVICE BULLETIN ON THIS ISSUE FOR OTHER MERCEDES OWNERS.
STRONG FUEL VAPOR ODOR FROM VEHICLE WHEN MORE THAN 3/4 FULL. RESIDUE ON TOP OF FUEL SYSTEM COMPONENTS UNDER REAR SEATS. STILL PRESENT AFTER REPLACING FUEL FILTER, PLASTIC SEAL-RETAINING RING AND BOTH SEALS. RECALL FOR FUEL SYSTEM ISSUED ONE MODEL YEAR PRIOR AND ONE MODEL YEAR AFTER.

THE FAILURE RECURRED FOUR TIMES WITHIN A HALF AN HOUR. THE GEAR SHIFT INDICATOR INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK. THE CONTACT SHIFTED THE VEHICLE INTO DRIVE TO MOVE FORWARD AFTER THE TRAFFIC LIGHT CHANGED. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE BACK TO HER RESIDENCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO MERCEDES-BENZ MANHATTAN (770 11TH AVE, NEW YORK, NY 10019 (646) 846-6402). THE DEALER STATED THAT THE ELECTRONIC ENGINE SWITCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED A REPAIR ESTIMATE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,610.
AT 80MPH, THE FRONT DRIVESHAFT U-JOINT FAILED, WHICH CAUSED A LOSS OF POWER AND A LOUD CLUNKING SOUND. VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE ON ITS OWN POWER. TEARDOWN SHOWED A COMPLETELY DESTROYED FRONT DRIVESHAFT U-JOINT, DAMAGE TO HEAT SHIELDING, DAMAGE TO OXYGEN SENSORS, DAMAGE TO THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER, ALONG WITH SUPERFICIAL DAMAGE TO THE BELLHOUSING AND MISSING BRACKETS. FAILURE IS SUSPECTED TO THE GEOMETRY OF THE FRONT DRIVESHAFT, WHICH CONNECTS AT AN ANGLE FROM THE TRANSFER CASE TO THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL ON 4MATIC-EQUIPPED VEHICLES. THIS INTRODUCES ADDITIONAL STRESS TO THE U-JOINT, MAKING IT PRONE TO FAILURE.
WHEN VEHICLE IS PARKED OVERNIGHT THE FRONT SUSPENSION FREQUENTLY DROPS LOW TO THE GROUND WITH ERROR MESSAGE "VEHICLE TOO LOW". VEHICLE LOSES AIR SUSPENSION ABILITY TO DRIVE IN LOWERED POSITION.

MANY OF US E CLASS OWNERS EXPERIENCE FUEL SMELL COMING FROM TOP OF FUEL PUMP UNDER REAR SEAT. MANY COMPLAINTS ON VARIOUS BLOGS ABOUT THIS FUEL SMELL LEAK ISSUE. DANGEROUS! OBVIOUSLY PLASTIC GASKET AND SEALING ISSUES! VERY PREVALENT! *TR
THERE IS A STRONG FUEL SMELL AFTER WE FILL UP GAS. THE SMELL IS STRONG ENOUGH THAT WE CANNOT PUT THE CAR IN GARAGE BECAUSE OF THE FUMES ENTERING THE HOUSE WHEN WE OPEN THE GARAGE DOOR.
HAVE A FUEL LEAK FROM PASSENGER SIDE SENDING UNIT. SEEMS LIKE IT IS CRACKED. I CANNOT FILL THE TANK OR A MASSIVE LEAK.
FAULTY FRONT AIR SUSPENSION LEAKS AIR
FUEL ODOR AFTER REFUELING TO FULL TANK, GAS ODOR ONLY WHEN OUTSIDE OF CAR. NO GAS ODOR AFTER FUEL LEVEL HAS DROPPED ABOUT 1/8TH (7/8TH STILL IN TANK). CAN VISSIBLY SEE FUEL ON OUTSIDE OF GAS TANK (WET AND STRONG GAS ODOR) WHEN LOOKING AT FUEL TANK VIA REAR PASSENGER WHEEL WELL.
CAR WAS BOUGHT IN 2017 WITH 100,000 MILES,EVERYTHING LOOKS GOOD, NO SPECIAL ACTIVITY WITH THE CAR , NO LONG RIDES, JUST INSIDE THE CITY WHEN IT REACHED $120,000 MILES THE TWO REAR AIR SUSPENSION JUST BROKE DOWN FOR NO REASON, THEY HAVE BEEN REPLACED, NOW A YEAR AFTER THE 2 FRONT ONE JUST WENT DOWN FOR NO REASON, VERY BAD SURPRISES WHILE IN THE HIGHWAY FROM AIRPORT HOME THE CAR FELL DOWN THE RED LIGHT TO PULL OVER CAME UP AND IT WAS HARD TO STOP AT THE SIDE OF THE WAY, SINCE THE TIRES AND WHEELS COULDN'T TURN NO WHERE SINCE THE WHOLE FRONT OF THE CAR JUST FELL DOWN SO BAD, VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION

MERCEDES BENZ KNOWS THAT THEIR CAR DOOR PANELING HAS A DEFECTIVE PROBLEM AND WILL FALL OFF. THEY ARE IGNORING MY CONCERN AND REFUSE TO PAY FOR IT. I LAST WEEK I CALLED 800-367-6372 AND SPOKE WITH A LIVE MB REPRESENTATIVE VIA THE PHONE REGARDING CASE NUMBER: 2-2940129122. TODAY, 12/30/2019, CUSTOMER ADVOCATE MANAGER, DARRELL WITH NO LAST NAME CALLED ME FROM PHONE 800-367-6372 EXT 4632 AND ADVISED THAT HE COULD NOT ASSIST. EXECUTIVE REFERRAL MANAGER: SERVICE MANAGER CASE NUMBER: 2-2940129122 PHONE: 800-367-6372 EXT 4632 I AM VERY CONCERNED AS BOTH OF THE DOORS ON MY COUPE ARE HAVING THE TRIM TO COME OFF OF THE CAR. THIS IS A KNOWN DEFECT WITH THE CAR DOOR PANEL CLIPS. DARREL ADMITTED THAT HE IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE, BUT LACKED THE AUTHORITY DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE ISSUE. I REALIZE THAT THE CAR IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY, BUT THIS IS HORRIBLE. I HAVE SEEN TWO OTHER CARS AT MY DEALERSHIP WITH THE SAME TROUBLE AND GETTING THEIR PANELS REPAIRED. I SPOKE WITH THE RBM OF ALPHARETTA MANAGER, CRAIG AND THE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE TOBIAS AND THEY ADVISED THAT THE REPAIR WOULD BE AROUND $1,020 PER DOOR. (EACH DOOR HAS TWO PIECES OF TRIM - 207-720-22-22-2A02 FOR THE LARGER TRIM AT THE COST OF $350.45 AND THE SAME FOR THE LABOR. THEN THE SMALLER PIECE OF TRIM UNDER PART NUMBER 207-720-20-22-64-2A04 AT THE COST OF $135.15 AN D THE LABOR WOULD BE AN ADDITIONAL $135.15. SO THE PASSENDER DOOR WOULD COST $971.20 PLUS TAX OR $1039.18 FOR EACH DOOR. FOR THE TOTAL REPAIR FOR THE TRIM ON BOTH DOORS EQUALING $2,078.36. WE HAVE PURCHASED AND CURRENTLY OWN AND MAINTAINED TWO MERCEDES BENZ. ON 12/30/2019 I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE MERCEDES BENZ CUSTOMER ADVOVATE REPRESENTATIVE DARRELL (NO LAST NAME) AND HE ADVISED THAT HE IS AWARE OF OTHER CARS WITH THIS SAME TROUBLE. TAKATA RECALL. I THOUGHT THE REPAIR HAS BEEN DONE. SO, WHY THIS NOTICE?
SMELL GAS FROM MY CAR. GAS LEAK. SMELL GAS WHEN THE CAR IS PARKED OR DRIVEN.
GAS SMELL ON THE DRIVER SIDE BACK PANEL WHEN THE CAR IS FULL OF FUEL. THE CAR IS STATIONARY.
TOOK MY CAR TO MERCEDES BENZ OF CHICAGO ON 2 OCCASIONS FOR THE RECALL. THEY REFUSED TO REPLACE THE AIRBAG THAT WAS RECALLED UNLESS I GET THE SEATBELT RETRACTOR FIXED WHICH WAS $600. THEY ALSO TRIED TO GET ME TO LOOK AT NEWER VEHICLES TO PURCHASED. I FEEL LIKE THEY WERE TRYING TO GET ME TO SPEND MONEY ON LABOR FOR OTHER THINGS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE IN ORDER TO GET RECALL DONE. I ALSO DIDN'T LIKE THE FACT THAT THEY KEPT MY CAR OVERNIGHT AND MADE SALES CALLS TO ME.

I PROCURED THE VEHICLES 32,000 MILES AS A CPO. IT HAD NEW BRAKE ROTORS ON IT. OVER THE NEXT 75,000 MILES THE BRAKE ROTORS HAD TO BE REPLACED 7 TIMES FOR WARPING AND DANGEROUSLY INCREASING STOPPING DISTANCES. THIS APPARENTLY NOT UNUSUAL FOR THIS VEHICLE.

STRONG GASOLINE SMELL EMITS FROM THE CAR AFTER FILLING UP WITH GAS.
STRONG ORDER OF GASOLINE AFTER REFUELING AROUND THE REAR OF CAR AND INSIDE OF VEHICLE. THERE IS A SAFETY RECALL FOR SAME PROBLEM ON 2009 MERCEDES BENZ E350 (REFERENCE TSB NO. P47-10-63) BUT NOT ON 2010 YEAR MODEL? WHY?
REAR AND FRONT SUSPENSIONS NOT WORKING VERY HARD RIDE
THE AIRMATIC SUSPENSION HAS MALFUNCTIONED! THE AIR SPRINGS STARTED DEFLATING OVER NIGHT SOMETIMES JUST ON OTHER NIGHTS ALL THEM AND THEN OTHER NIGHTS NOT AT ALL NOW THEY WILL NOT INFLATE AT ALL AND IS UNDRIVABLE. ALSO THE COOLING FAN RUNS CONSTANTLY IF THE CAR IS RUNNING!

SEATS TORN IN SEAM FOR A WHILE . STARTED WITH A SMALL CRACK AND EVENTUALLY GREW OVER YEARS . MERCEDES NEEDS TO DO BETTER , THIS SEAMS TO BE COMMON WITH YOUR CARS
IN MANY MERCEDES BENZ VEHICLES WITH AIR RIDE SUSPENSION THE "AIR STRUTS" FAIL. THIS HAPPENED TO MINE. IT CAN HAPPEN WHILE SITTING STILL OR WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED ON THE ROADS. THE DASHBOARD GOES RED AND TELLS YOU TO STOP DRIVING AS THE SUSPENSION HAS GONE TOO LOW. MY SUSPENSION WENT ALL THE WAY DOWN AND THE FRONT END WAS ONLY A COUPLE OF INCHES OFF THE GROUND. VERY DANGEROUS, AT SPEEDS OF 70 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE THIS COULD CAUSE CATASTROPHIC ISSUES. MERCEDES BENZ HAS KNOW ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS FOR OVER A DECADE AND STILL USE THESE PARTS. WHY HAS NOTHING BEEN DONE ABOUT THIS? THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SAFETY ISSUE, THAT COULD CAUSE DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY TO THE DRIVER, OCCUPANT, OR OTHERS ON THE ROAD.
FUEL SMELL IS STRONG WHILE STANDING BEHIND AND THE LEFT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE SAME SMELL EXISTS WHETHER THE TANK IS EMPTY OR FULL.
WHILE DRIVING ON ROAD AT ABOUT 40 MILES , IT WENT INTO PARK AFTER SOME JURKING MOTION AROUND JUNE 13 2018 AROUND 1 PM . WE THOUGHT IT WAS NOTHING SERIOUS, BUT AGAIN IT HAPPENED ON JUNE 21 2018 AT ABOUT 6 30 PM ON CITY ROAD WITH SPEED LIMIT OF 40 MILES ,,, CALLED MERCEDES BENZ DEALER TO REPORT THE ISSUE AND MADE THE APPOINTMENT, .. THEY COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM OR DUPLICATE THE ISSUE FOR MORE THAN A WEEK. I GAVE THEM ALI THE INFORMATION I RECEIVED FROM INTERNET (SEE ATTACHMENT), AND FINALLY THEY ARE TELLING ME THE ISSUE IS WITH ELECTRONIC SWITCH MODULE , WHICH WILL COST ABOUT $ 1500 PLUS TAX . TO US IT IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPORTED EARLIER BY OTHER DRIVERS TOO , AND SHOULD BE FIXED WITH OUT CHARGE. 4 PM TO 7 PM COMING FROM WORK IS ALWAYS A HEAVY TRAFFIC ISSUE , IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE , HAD IT BEEN HIT BY OTHER VEHICLES.
MERCEDES KEEPS EXTENDING THE DATE TO REPLACE MY AIR BAGS. THEY SAY THAT CAN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE THE BAGS AREN'T AVAILABLE. HOW ARE THE STILL MAKING NEW CARS WITH AIRBAGS IF MY AREN'T AVAILABLE FOR REPLACEMENT? THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE SINCE THE RECALL FIRST CAME OUT.
MY CAR DROPS OVER NIGHT. SOME DAYS MY FRONT WOULD DROP TO THE FLOOR. SOME DAYS MY REAR AND SOME DAYS THE WHOLE CAR WILL BE ON THE FLOOR.
TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE MADE NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS TO HAVE MY TAKATA AIRBAGS REPLACED, ONLY TO BE TOLD BY MERCEDES THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO TO SPEED THIS FIX UP. I HAVE A 16 YEAR OLD SON THAT HAS STARTED TO DRIVE. I NEED THIS ISSUE FIXED IMMEDIATELY. MERCEDES IS DRAGGING THEIR FEET. I COULD HAVE MY CAR IN THE SHOP TODAY IF THEY WERE WILLING TO FIX IT.
THE CAR AUTOMATICALLY SHIFTS ITSELF INTO PARK AT SPEEDS BELOW 5MILES PER HOUR. IT DOES THIS WHEN THE CAR IS VERY HOT. IT LITERARILY PUTS ITSELF INTO PARK WHILE THE CAR IS STILL MOVING.
GAS LEAK SMELL COMING FROM DRIVER SIDE REAR OF THE CAR. CAR ONLY HAS 40,000 MILES. I BELIEVE MY CAR HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AS WITH OTHER MERCEDES CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT "2003-09 MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS, 2006-11 CLS-CLASS FUEL ODOR". PLEASE REOPEN THE INVESTIGATION TO INCLUDE E350 2010 MODEL AS WELL.
