DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE APPLYING BRAKE PRESSURE AT LOW SPEEDS, A SQUEAKING NOISE WAS PRESENT. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A DEALER WHO DETERMINED THE SQUEAKING NOISE WAS NORMAL, AND THAT WAS THE WAY THE BRAKES WERE DESIGNED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT ALERTED. UPDATED 01/10/07. *JB
2005 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS BRAKE FAILURE. **CC THE CONSUMER STATED WHEN HE ATTEMPTED TO APPLY THE BRAKES, THE VEHICLE SLOWED MOST OF THE WAY DOWN TO THE STOP, THEN THE CONSUMER LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND ENDED UP STOPPING 10 TO 20 FEET OF WHERE HE INTENDED TO STOP. THE CONSUMER BELIEVED THERE WAS A SERIOUS BRAKE ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE. THE CONSUMER RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THE CONTRACT WAS CANCELLED. THE CONSUMER STATED A RENTED A 2006 LINCOLN TOWN CAR AND IT EXHIBITED THE SAME BRAKE FAILURE TWICE IN A SHORT TIME. ON SATURDAY, OCT. 21, 2006 AT APPROXIMATELY 12:00PM I WAS DRIVING ON I-95 JUST SOUTH OF PORT SAINT LUCIE FLORIDA, TRAVELING AT 70 MPH, WHEN I EXPERIENCED A CATASTROPHIC BLOW OUT OF THE RIGHT REAR TIRE ON MY 2005 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS, WITH 14,980 MILE ON THE ODOMETER. THE TIRES WERE ALL ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT TIRES. THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED NO DAMAGE BUT THE SIDEWALLS WERE COMPLETELY SHREDDED, AFTER TRAVELING ABOUT 500 TO 600 FEET TO PULL OVER TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROADWAY. I HAD TO PURCHASE A NEW MICHELIN TIRE AT A COST OF $144.96 -WITH A 65,000 MI. WARRANTY! THE TIRE THAT BLEW WITH LESS THAN 14,980MI WAS NOT WARRANTED OR PRO RATED BY THE DEALER OR BY MICHELIN. I DID NOT RUN OVER ANYTHING IN THE ROADWAY, AND BROUGHT THE TIRE TO TWO DIFFERENT TIRE SHOPS AND THEY COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHAT HAPPENED. I CALLED MICHELIN AND THEY TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! MICHELIN, ADVERTISES ITSELF AS ONE OF THE "SAFEST" TIRES ON THE ROAD, -WELL THIS PARTICULAR ONE CERTAINLY WAS NOT. IT IS A P225-60R16 ENERGY LX4. I AM REPORTING THIS IN HOPE YOU MAY BE ABLE TO GET MICHELIN TO HELP DEFRAY THE COST OF THE NEW TIRE, AND OR SEE IF THERE IS A SAFETY DEFECT WITH THIS STYLE OF TIRE, WHICH MAY WARRANT FURTHER ACTION. I REMAIN ANXIOUSLY AWAITING YOUR REPLY. *NM
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE AT 5 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THE VEHICLE SURGED IN REVERSE. THE CONTACT SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL, THE ENGINE REVVED, AND THE TACHOMETER ROSE QUICKLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A SERVICE DEALER, WHERE THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE OR DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. THE DEALER TOLD THE CONSUMER, THE INCIDENT WAS DUE TO DRIVER ERROR AND WHEN SHE APPLIED THE BRAKE SHE INADVERTENTLY PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR AS WELL. UPDATED 09/11/06. *JB

DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE'S AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AFTER COLLIDING HEAD ON WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT APPROACHED A TRAFFIC LIGHT AT 30 MPH TO TURN LEFT WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE RAN THE RED LIGHT AND CAUSED THE COLLISION. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED. THE POLICE WAS CONTACTED AND A REPORT WAS TAKEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHO OFFERED NO EXPLANATION AS TO WHY THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. UPDATED 08/29/06. *JB
KNOCKING NOISE FROM ENGINE/TRANSMISSION AREA WHEN CAR IS STOPPED AT IDLE, TRANSMISSION IN GEAR, WINDOWS CLOSED AND HEATER FAN OFF. PROBLEM: INTERMITTENT, ERRATIC, MUFFLED KNOCKING NOISE. HEARD FROM INSIDE THE CAR. *JB
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE HORN ONLY SOUNDED WITH EXTREME PRESSURE BEING APPLIED TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE STEERING WHEEL. THE HORN DID NOT SOUND WHEN ANY OTHER AREA OF THE STEERING WHEEL WAS DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SERVICE DEALER, WHO DETERMINED THE HORN WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY, BUT COULD NOT DETERMINE HOW TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM WITHOUT POSSIBLY CAUSING THE AIRBAG TO DEPLOY. THE ONLY WORK COMPLETED BY THE DEALER WAS AN ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THE STEERING WHEEL COVER TO INSPECT THE HORN CONNECTION. THIS RESULTED IN THE HORN SOUNDING CONTINUOUSLY. THEREFORE, THE DEALER DISCONNECTED IT COMPLETELY. THE DEALER, WHO WAS A FORD DEALER, RECOMMENDED TAKING THE VEHICLE TO A MERCURY DEALER FOR FURTHER INSPECTION. THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT BEEN CONTACTED. THE HORN HAS SINCE BEEN REPAIRED. UPDATED 05/30/06. *AK
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP NUMEROUS TIMES BECAUSE THE BRAKES ARE DEFECTIVE. WHEN PRESSURE IS APPLIED TO THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE PEDAL INTERMITTENTLY GOES TO THE FLOOR. MOST OFTEN THIS OCCURS WHILE STARTING THE VEHICLE AND PLACING IT IN GEAR. ON ONE OCCASION A POWER BOOSTER WAS REPLACED ON THE BRAKE SYSTEM. THIS DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, THERE WAS A PEDAL PRESSURE TEST PERFORMED. THE DEALERSHIP DETERMINED THE PRESSURE WAS A LITTLE LOW, BUT NOT ENOUGH FOR CONCERN.
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE EXITING THE VEHICLE, THE OCCUPANTS GET SHOCKED BY STATIC ELECTRICITY FROM THE DOOR. THE DEALERSHIP SUGGESTED FABRIC SOFTENER BE SPRAYED IN THE VEHICLE, BUT THIS HAS NOT REMEDIED THE PROBLEM. *AK
THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED ON JANUARY 26 2006 NEW WITH LEES THAN 100 MILES ON IT. WHILE AT A COMPLETE STOP IN A PARKING PLACE WITH MY RIGHT FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AND HAND ON GEAR SHIFT TO PLACE THE CAR IN PARK IN FRONT OF A NURSING HOME. SUDDENLY THE CAR ACCELERATED FORWARD OUT OF CONTROL WITH ENOUGH SPEED IN THE SHORT DISTANCE TO GO THROUGH A WALL INTO A ROOM OF THE NURSING HOME. LUCKILY THE ROOM IN THE NURSING HOME WAS UNOCCUPIED. I DID SUFFER AN INJURY TO THE TOP AND RIGHT SIDE OF MY RIGHT FOOT, WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO PULL THE ACCELERATOR UP WITH MY RIGHT FOOT AND PLACING MY LEFT FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE CAR DID NOT STOP ACCELERATING UNTIL THE IMPACT INTO THE NURSING HOME. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP THE SAME DAY AND THE OWNER OF THE DEALERSHIP AND SERVICE PERSONNEL WAS NOTIFIED OF THE POSSIBLE DEFECT. TO THIS DATE THE DEALERSHIP HAS NOT RESPONDED TO MY CONCERNS. *NM
THE STEERING BOLTS CAME OUT OF MY STEERING WHEEL WHILE DRIVING MY 2005 GRAND MARQUIS. NOTHING LED UP TO THIS SITUATION - THERE WAS NO WARNING. HAD I NOT BEEN GOING ON A 25 MPH 2 LANE ROAD THIS COULD HAVE BEEN CATASTROPHIC. INSTEAD, I ENDED UP HALF WAY IN A DITCH BLOCKING THE RIGHT HAND LANE OF TRAFFIC. I WAS TOLD FROM MY DEALERSHIP, KINGSLAND FORD MERCURY LOCATED ON HIGHWAY 40, PER THE SERVICE MANAGER MONTY THAT THIS WAS A RESULT OF THE MANUFACTURER AND MY CAR CAME OFF THE LINE THAT WAY. I HAVE CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND OF COURSE THE DEALERSHIP AND THERE IS NO RECALL TO MY KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THESE STEERING BOLTS. *JB
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH WHEN APPLYING BRAKE PRESSURE THE CRUISE CONTROL WOULD NOT DISENGAGE. THE DEALERSHIP AND MANUFACTURER WAS NOT ALERTED. UPDATED 03/22/06. *JB
THIS CAR HAS A DANGEROUS DEFECT. RANDOMLY WHEN IN A STATIONARY POSITION, BY HOLDING THE BRAKES, THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION SOMETIMES SUDDENLY ACCELERATES POWERFULLY, MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO HOLD THE CAR. I NOTIFIED THE DEALER ABOUT THIS DEFECT, SEVERAL TIMES IN WRITING AND BY PHONE. DEC, 29, 2005 THEY TOOK IT ON A DRIVE, AND CLAIMED TO HAVE FOUND NO DEFECT. SUBSEQUENTLY, JAN, 15, 2006 AT APPROXIMATELY 1:00 PM, I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT ON GRAND ST. NYC BEHIND AN SUV, BY HOLDING THE BRAKES, ALL OF A SUDDEN IT ACCELERATED, AND IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO HOLD THE CAR. IT SLAMMED INTO THE SUV IN FRONT OF ME, SMASHING MY FRONT. LUCKILY, THE SUV WAS NOT DAMAGED. BUT EVEN MORE LUCKILY, WE DID NOT GET HURT, (I HAD IN THE CAR MY WIFE, AN ADULT DAUGHTER, AND 2 GRAND CHILDREN). IN ADDITION, I GUESS WE WERE EXTRA LUCKY THAT WE HAD THE SUV IN FRONT OF ME, WHICH AVERTED A CATASTROPHIC MOWING DOWN OF PEDESTRIANS CROSSING. THE DEALERS TOOK IN THE CAR, AND NOTIFIED ME YESTERDAY, JAN, 19, 2006, THAT THEY RAN TESTS AND FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. *JB
TWO PROBLEMS WITH THE HORN SINCE I PURCHASED MY CAR IN DEC 2004: 1) SOUNDS WHEN I HAVEN'T EVEN HIT IT AT ALL AND 2) WON'T SOUND WHEN I NEED IT UNLESS I HIT IT IN EXACTLY THE RIGHT PLACE WHICH SEEMS TO CHANGE EVERY TIME I NEED IT! A COUPLE OF TIMES WHEN IT SOUNDED ON IT'S OWN IT LASTED ALMOST A FULL MINUTE! HITTING IT HAD NO EFFECT. AND THEN, A COUPLE OF TIMES WHEN I NEEDED IT, IT NEVER SOUNDED! THIS SCARES THE I-DON'T-KNOW-WHAT OUT OF ME AND EVERYONE AROUND ME! I'VE TAKEN IT TO DARCARS ON BRANCH AVENUE IN MARLOW HEIGHTS, MD. A NUMBER OF TIMES IN 2006. THEY WERE ABLE TO REPEAT SYMPTOMS, AND DID DO SOMETHING THAT FIXED PROBLEMS FOR AWHILE. BUT PROBLEMS KEEP RESURFACING. SECOND WEEK OF JAN 2006, HORN WENT OFF ON IT'S OWN WHILE I WAS IN A CURVE TO THE RIGHT, AND THE CAR TO THE LEFT OF ME ALMOST WENT OFF THE ROAD. SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE!! ALMOST BETTER TO NOT EVEN HAVE THIS HORN! *JB
ON THREE OCCASIONS WHEN SHIFTING FROM PARK TO REVERSE THE ENGINE SPED UP (ACCELERATED DRASTICALLY) CAUSING THE WHEELS TO SPIN AND ONLY BY QUICK APPLICATION OF THE BRAKE WAS AN INCIDENT AVOIDED. I DROVE INTO A PARKING SPACE, PUT THE CAR IN PARK, THEN NOT SATISFIED WITH THE POSITION I ATTEMPTED TO BACK UP, THAT'S WHEN THE CAR ACCELERATED. *JB
DT: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE GOING THROUGH AN INTERSECTION ANOTHER VEHICLE RAN A STOP SIGN AND STRUCK THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE ON THE SIDE. UPON IMPACT, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS KNOCKED INTO ANOTHER LANE AND WAS HIT HEAD ON BY A THIRD VEHICLE. THIS SECOND IMPACT CAUSED THE OTHER VEHICLE TO TAIL SPIN AND WAS HIT IN THE REAR BY THE FIRST VEHICLE. THE SIDE AIR BAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY, BUT THE FRONTAL AIR BAGS DID. THE CONTACT WAS WEARING A SEAT BELT AT THE TIME OF THE CRASH. THERE WAS EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE, THE OUTER COLUMN WAS PUSHED INTO THE SEAT, AND THE DASHBOARD CAME APART. THE CONTACT AND PASSENGER SUSTAINED INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. *AK UPDATED 01/25/06. *JB
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE WAS NOT EQUIPPED WITH QUAD SUN VISORS. THE ORIGINAL SUN VISORS COVERED ONLY ONE DIRECTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER, THE CONTACT PURCHASED ADDITIONAL SUN VISORS TO COVER BOTH THE WINDSHIELD AND THE SIDE WINDOW AT THE SAME TIME.
DT: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SET ON 63 MPH AND GOING UP A SMALL HILL, CRUISE CONTROL SPED THE VEHICLE UP TO 71 MPH. HE HAD TO TAKE THE VEHICLE OUT OF CRUISE CONTROL TO SLOW THE VEHICLE DOWN. HE FELT THIS WAS A SAFETY ISSUE. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE CONCERNING THIS PROBLEM. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED AND ATTEMPTING TO BRAKE, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. THE FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE FAILURE WHERE THE DEALER TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE, BUT WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC FOR FURTHER INSPECTION. THE CONTACT ALSO EXPERIENCED FAILURES WITH THE HEADLIGHTS. THE HEADLIGHTS WERE REPLACED BUT THE ABNORMAL ACCELERATION FAILURE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 15,600.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH AND DEPRESSING THE BRAKES, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED UNTIL THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS RELEASED. ALSO, WHILE PARKED, THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKES AND THE VEHICLE LUNGED FORWARD. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTICS OR REPAIRS. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000.
DT: THE CONSUMER STATED THAT THE ACCELERATOR STUCK THREE TIMES. THE OWNER WAS BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY AND WENT TO GIVE THE CAR GAS AND THE ACCELERATOR STUCK. THE DRIVER ENDED UP IN A DITCH. THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS AT 25 MPH. THE CAR IS AT THE DEALERSHIP TO BE INSPECTED. THE DEALER COULD NOT IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. THIS HAS NOT BEEN REPORTED TO THE MANUFACTURER. A POLICE REPORT WAS TAKEN. *AK *JB
ROUGH ENGINE IDLE, DEALER REPS SAY 'ALL THE NEW ONES DO IT', 'IT'S NORMAL'. I'VE ASKED THEM ABOUT IT ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS SINCE PURCHASING THE CAR. NOT NEARLY AS GOOD GAS MILEAGE AS OUR 2001 GRAND MARQUIS GOT, WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER, "YOU CAN'T COMPARE CARS'. *NM
ROUGH ENGINE IDLE, DEALER REPS SAY "ALL THE NEW ONES DO IT", "IT'S NORMAL". I HAVE ASKED THEM ABOUT IT ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS SINCE PURCHASING THE CAR. MY 2005 MARQUIS DOES NOT GET NEARLY THE GOOD GAS MILEAGE THE 2001 MARQUIS DID WITH THE SAME ENGINE. THE DEALER TOLD ME "YOU CAN'T COMPARE CARS". *NM
DT: CONSUMER STATES THE OVERHEAD CONSOLE CAME DOWN IN FRONT OF THE REAR VIEW MIRROR BLOCKING THE TOP OF THE MIRROR. CONSUMER CAN N' T SEE PROPERLY OUT OF THE MIRROR. HE CALLED FORD AND THE DEALER TO ASK IF HE COULD ADJUST THE REARVIEW MIRROR SOMEHOW IN THE DOWN POSITION. BOTH SAID THERE WAS NO SOLUTION FOR THIS. SERVICE DEPT SAID THERE HAD BEEN SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAME PROBLEM. *AK *JB

THERE WAS A POLICE REPORT FILED. THE INVESTIGATING OFFICERS THOUGHT IT WAS A MECHANICAL MALFUNCTION. CONSUMER WAS NOT CITED FOR THIS INCIDENT. HERTZ RENTAL HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO THE SERVICE CENTER.*AK
2005 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS THE HORN DOES NOT WORK I TOOK IT TO ROLLING HILLS FORD IN CLERMONT FLORIA AND IT STILL DOES NOT WORK
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS. WHILE PARKED, THE HEADLIGHTS FAILED TO ILLUMINATE. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE WARNING FLASHERS WERE THE ONLY LIGHTS ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE THAT FUNCTIONED WHEN THE HEADLIGHTS WERE INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING HOWEVER, THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52. ..UPDATED 10/03/12 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED AT APPROXIMATELY 70,000 MILES THE HEADLIGHTS BEGAN FAILING WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT, WITHOUT WARNING. OCCASIONALLY, TURN THE ENGINE OFF THEN ON, OR TURNING ON THE WIPERS WOULD TURN THE LIGHTS ON. UPDATED 10/09/2012 *JS
HORN ON 2005 MERCURY GRAND ARQUIS WORKS INTERMITTENTLY
WHEN VEHICLE BRAKES ARE APPLIED, VEHICLE BEGINS TO ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE REQUIRES EXTREME PRESSURE IN ORDER TO HAVE IT STOP. ON ONE OCCASION I WAS FORCED TO PASS A STOP LIGHT. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP ON THESE OCCASIONS HOWEVER DEALERSHIP IS UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THEY HAVE NOT REPLACED ANY PARTS AND ARE NOW CONSIDERING INSTALLING A "BLACK BOX" TO RECORD THE INCIDENT IF IT OCCURS IN THE FUTURE AND FIGURE OUT WHAT IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM. *JB
WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH VEHICLE RAN OVER A PIECE OF A TIRE TREAD, MEDIUM IN SIZE. THE HIGHWAY PATROL OFFICER INFORMED THE CONSUMER THAT THE VEHICLE WAS LEAKING FUEL ONTO THE ROAD. THE TREAD CAUSED A PUNCTURE IN THE FUEL TANK. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER.*AK *BF
WHILE DRIVING THE HEADLIGHTS WILL TURN OFF AND ON. THERE SEEMS TO BE NO CAUSE TO THEM TURNING OFF BUT WHEN THEY DO COME BACK ON IT IS USUALLY WHEN I USE A BLINKER OR LOCK THE DOORS. WHILE THE LIGHTS ARE OFF PUSHING THE SIGNAL STICK TO TURN ON THE BRIGHTS DOES NOT WORK BUT PULLING THE STICK TO FLASH SOMEONE DOES. THE RUNNING LIGHTS REMAIN ON THE WHOLE TIME AND I NOTICE NO OTHER ISSUES WITH THE CAR DURING THE TIME THE LIGHTS ARE OUT. *TR
DT: WHEN APPLYING BRAKE PEDAL PRESSURE THE PEDAL GOES PAST THE ACCELERATOR TO THE FLOOR, MOST OFTEN THIS OCCURS WHEN STARTING THE VEHICLE AND PLACING IT IN GEAR. WHEN THIS OCCURS IT IS EASY TO HIT THE GAS PEDAL AS WELL WHEN TRYING TO APPLY BRAKE PRESSURE. THIS CAUSES THE TIRES TO SQUEAL AND THE CAR TO LUNGE FORWARD. HAS BEEN TO A DEALER WHO SAID HE WOULD HAVE A SERVICE MANAGER CALL THE CONSUMER ABOUT THIS PROBLEM, BUT HE NEVER RETURNED THE CALL. THE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE NOTED THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. NO REPAIRS OR CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE. *AK

DEALER DID NOT KNOW HOW TO FIX, SAID ALL MODELS HAD THIS PROBLEM. *TT CONSUMER STATES THAT AFTER CONTACTING NHTSA AND FORD 3 DAYS LATER, CONSUMER RECEIVED A CALL TO BRING THE CAR IN FOR REPAIRS AND IT ONLY TOOK A HALF HOUR TO FIX THE DEFECT.*SB
