THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. AFTER WAITING A FEW MOMENTS, THE VEHICLE RESTARTED. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.
ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY P2119 CODE. ALL OF THE SUDDEN LOSSES POWER GOING INTO OR OUT OF TRAFFIC AND THE WRENCH TOOL LIGHT "LIGHTS UP" IT MAY GO AWAY BY ITSELF OR NOT , "CUT BE SCARY" AT TIMES IT HAS SHUT DOWN IN SEVERAL INSTANCES ON MY OWN ST OR DOWN THE AVE OR ANOTHER TOWN ETC... FOR NO APPARENT REASON IT HAPPENS WHILE TURNING OR DURING ACCELERATION AT ONE POINT I HAD TO WAIT FOR SEVERAL MINUTES ON THE HIGHWAY BEFORE STARTING THE VEHICLE AGAIN AND I GET SIMILAR CODES RELATED TO TBS POWERTRAIN AND THE FUEL CAP I NOTICED THAT WHEN FILLING UP, I NEED TO STOP PUMPING GAS ONCE IT HAS STOPS AUTOMATICALLY, WITHOUT ME TOPPING IT OFF NOT EVEN ONCE! AND THE LIGHT WILL MOST LIKELY WILL NOT COME ON,IT MAY GO AWAY BY ITSELF IF NOT I ERASE THE CODE.I CLEAN THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY LAST SUMMER AND IT HAS RUN WITH NO PROBLEMS AT ALL UNTIL NOW! THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE AND NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE CONTACT STATED THE MANUFACTURER REFERRED HIM TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,500.
WHILE DRIVING NORMALLY SUDDENLY IT LOOSES POWER AND THROTTLES BEFORE TURNING OFF. IT IS A HAZARD BECAUSE I MAY BE HIT IF IT HAPPENS IN THE FREEWAY.
WHILE I AM DRIVING MY CAR WILL ALL OF A SUDDEN TURN OFF
BRAKE WARNING LIGHT AND A MESSAGE ON THE DASH SAYING "CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM" INTERMITANTLY OCCUR. BRAKES SEEM TO WORK NORMALLY. RESTARTING THE CAR TEMPORARILY FIXES THE PROBLEM, ONLY TO OCCUR AGAIN IN SEVERAL MILES. THE PROBLEM OCCURS AT ANY TIME, STANDING OR IN MOTION.
MY TORQUE SENSOR FAILED AFTER RECALL 14S05 WAS PERFORMED. THIS ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT GOING 70 MPH ON I70 BECAUSE THE POWER STEERING ASSIST WENT INTO MANUAL MODE WITH NO WARNING. HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO LARRY H MILLER FORD FOR SERVICE FOUND BAD TORQUE SENSOR WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN FIXED WITH THE RECALL. I HAVE TRIED TO WORK WITH FORD AND HAVE HAD NO LUCK WITH ANY RESOLUTION AND I AM GETTING THE RUN AROUND. FROM DOING MY RESEARCH, I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS ISSUE AND I DO BELIEVE FORD HAS NOT MET THEIR OBLIGATION TO THIS RECALL. I WAS TOLD THAT IF I HAD NOT BROUGHT MY VEHICLE IN FOR THE RECALL I MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE REPLACEMENT. SO IF I HAD LET IT GO THEY WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. BUT, BECAUSE I HAD THE RECALL ADDRESSED IT'S MY PROBLEM. DO NOT THINK FORD IS FIXING THE PROBLEM THEY ARE PUTTING A BANDAGE ON IT. FORD'S RECALL FIX, ONLY RE-FLASHED THE COMPUTER SOFTWARE AND DID NOT PROVIDE A HARDWARE FIX FOR THE TORQUE SENSOR ITSELF, WHICH FAILED FOR A SECOND TIME.

MY ENGINE LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON AND I HAVE BEEN TOLD ITS THE LITTLE FLAP TO THE GAS TANK BUT THEY CAN REPAIR IT YET AS A RECALL HOW IS THAT WHEN THEY ALREAY KNOW WHAT IT IS?
OUR 2010 MERCURY MARINER HAD A CLUNKING AND LOSS OF POWER ON TWO DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. THE FIRST TIME WE BROUGHT IT TO THE FORD DEALER AND HE CHECKED CODES, ETC, ONLY TO FIND NOTHING. THE CLUNKING OR LOSS OF POWER DID NOT CAME BACK FOR A WHILE. SEVERAL MONTHS LATER WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK, THE CLUNKING SOUND APPEARED AGAIN, THERE WAS AN EVIDENT LOSS OF POWER AND THE ORANGE WRENCH DISPLAYED ON THE SPEEDOMETER INDICATED AN ISSUE. I HAD TO WORK ON GETTING THE VEHICLE UP TO SPEED AND POWER AGAIN, SLOWING THE TRAFFIC IN BACK OF ME DOWN. THE VEHILE WAS PURCHASED A YEAR AGO, ALMOST TO THE DAY AND HAS APPROXIMATELY 52,000 MILES ON IT. I CALLED THE FORD DEALER WHO MADE ARRANGEMENTS TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN FOR A CHECK UP. BASED ON WHAT I'M READING, THESE ARE KNOWN ISSUES WITH A THROTTLE? NOT CERTAIN IF THERE'S A RECALL OR NOT BUT WILL CERTAINLY FIND OUT. BASICALLY, OUR VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE.
REAR LIFTGATE GLASS SHATTERED SUDDENLY WHILE OPENING/CLOSING REAR LIFTGATE. AUTOMOBILE WAS PARKED.
2010 FORD MERCURY MARINER. NEED I SAY MORE? THIS VEHICLE HAS EVERYTHING WRONG WITH IT!! FORD SHOULD RECALL THE ENTIRE VEHICLE AND GIVE OUT CARS THAT WORK. MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN THROUGH THE THROTTLE BODY RECALL THAT LEFT ME STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY INTERSECTION. THANKFULLY I DIDN'T DIE. I HAVE TWO MORE RECALLS TO GET FIXED AND THE MOST RECENT FUN TOOK PLACE ON 01/04/2016 WHEN THE REAR LIFTGATE SHATTERED WHEN CLOSING. THIS HAPPENED AT NIGHTTIME IN JANUARY AFTER TEMPS HAD FALLEN TO 20 DEGREES. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO INSPECTED THE VEHICLE BUT WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. AFTER LEAVING THE DEALER, THE MAINTENANCE AND THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,980.
WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, CAR HAD BEEN DRIVING FINE, BUT WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND I PROCEEDED MY CAR SUDDENLY HAD REDUCED POWER AND WOULD NOT DRIVE MORE THAN 40-45 MPH. NO LIGHTS OR ANYTHING CAME ON THE DASH THE FIRST TIME. THE SECOND TIME HOWEVER A YELLOW/ORANGE WRENCH LIGHT APPEARED. I GOT HOME AND PARKED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE DAY BUT THEN THE FOLLOWING DAY THE PROBLEM STILL PROCEEDED AND I THEN LET IT SIT ALL WEEKEND. THE FOLLOWING MONDAY I TURNED IT ON TO TAKE TO THE REPAIR SHOP AND THE CAR DROVE FINE THAT ENTIRE DAY. THE NEXT DAY, TUESDAY, WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK IT HAPPENED AGAIN ONLY I COULDNT GO FASTER THAN 30MPH IN A 55 MPH ZONE. CAR WAS TAKEN BACK TO SHOP AND DIAGNOSED AS A FAILURE IN THE THROTTLE BODY. DURING THIS TIME OF REDUCED POWER FANS IN THE TRUNK SPACE GOT EXTREMELY LOUD AND BEGAN SUCKING IN AIR, AS IF TRYING TO COOL THE BATTERIES. NEEDLESS TO SAY FORD HAS BEEN NO HELP AND I CAN NOT GET TO WORK AS I CANNOT SAFELY DRIVE MY VEHICLE DUE TO THE LIMP HOME MODE ACTIVATING AND RANDOM TIMES. THE PRIOR INVESTIGATION INFURIATES ME TO SEE THEY EXTENDED A WATTANTY INSTEAD OF DOING RECALL BECAUSE NOW OWNERS LIKE MYSELF ARE STUCK NOT EVEN BEING ABLE TO GET TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE THE CAR IS NOT SAFE TO OPERATE.

CANNOT GET ANY INFO ABOUT WHETHER MY WIFE'S VEHICLE HAS A RECALL. I PUT IN THE VIN IN YOUR WEBSITE AND IT TELLS ME THAT I MUST INPUT A VALID VIN. THIS FORM INDICATES THAT MY VIN IS VALID. WHAT GIVES?
The contact owns a 2010 Mercury Mariner. The contact stated that while making a turn, the steering wheel became difficult to maneuver after completing the turn. The contact stated that no warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that she would turn the vehicle off and on, and upon restart, the failure corrected itself. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was confirmed that the failure was related to NHTSA Recall Number: 14V284000 (Steering) and the steering column needed replacement. The dealer informed the contact that the parts were on backorder. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed that parts were on backorder and they were unable to provide a repair date. The failure mileage was unknown. Parts distribution disconnect.

1. OUTSIDE REVIEW MIRRORS DO NOT DEFROST. THEY WERE FROZEN AND I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY PUTTING MY LIFE IN DANGER BECAUSE I COULD NOT SEE OUTSIDE VEHICLES PASSING TO BE ABLE TO GO RIGHT OR LEFT. THEN A WEEK LATER THEIR WAS FROST ON THE MIRRORS AND STILL THEY WOULD NOT DEFROST AGAIN I COULDN'T SEE OTHER VEHICLES ON EITHER SIDE OF MY VEHICLE. 2. THERE IS A GEAR SHIFTING PROBLEM AS WELL. WHENEVER I TAKE OFF AT A STOP MY CAR KICKS REAL HARD AND LOUD ENOUGH TO SCARE ME. I HAVE REPORTED THIS SEVERAL TIMES WITH THE DEALER THAT I BOUGHT MY VEHICLE FROM AND THEY CANNOT FIND THE PROBLEM. I WAS DRIVING MY 2010 MERCURY MARINER PREMIUM FWD TO MY MOTHERS FOR CHRISTMAS '14 WHEN THE ENGINE LIGHT WRENCH CAME ON AND I FELT A LOSS IN POWER. LUCKILY I WAS NEAR A REST STOP AND I SHUT OFF ENGINE AND LET IT SIT AFTER RUNNING A VEHICLE HEALTH REPORT. REPORT SAID: URGENT POWER TRAIN MALFUNCTION / REDUCED POWER. AFTER RESTARTING THE VEHICLE, IT SEEMED FINE. THIS WAS WHEN I STILL HAD ABOUT THREE HOURS LEFT OF DRIVING IN MY EIGHT HOUR DRIVE. WHEN I WAS ABOUT AN HOUR AWAY AGAIN THE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE SAME POWER REDUCTION OCCURRED. I TOOK IT TO BE LOOKED AT TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALER NEAR MY MOTHERS AND WAS TOLD THE VALVE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THIS WAS AT 74,000 MILES. SO I DID. I HAD THIS HAPPEN ONCE BEFORE (I HAD 58,000 MILES ON IT) WHEN DRIVING TO A SHOPPING CENTER AFTER DRIVING 45 MINUTES ON THE HIGHWAY FROM HOME. ONLY HAPPENED WHEN DRIVING LONG DISTANCE. WHEN I GOT OFF THE EXIT, IT JERKED AND QUICKLY STOPPED AND I HAD TO PULL OVER. IF A CAR WAS BEHIND ME IT COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT.. I DROVE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT I HAD A COUPLE RECALLS (COMPUTER UPDATES) AND A SERVICE EXTENSION FOR THE THROTTLE BODY. SHOULD FIX THE ISSUE SO IT WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN SAID THE MECHANIC. TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS FLUSHED CAUSE IT WAS BURNT ALSO. HAD NO ISSUES AFTERWARDS UNTIL MY CHRISTMAS TRIP. I FEEL I COULD HAVE BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT AND SERIOUSLY HURT IF IT HAD JERKED WHILE CHANGING GEARS ON A BUSY ROAD. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY THERE IS A THROTTLE BODY RECALL BUT NOT A VALVE BODY RECALL? IF THESE ISSUES CAN CAUSE A QUICK JERK OR LOST POWER CAUSING A QUICK SLOW-DOWN, SEEMS LIKE THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL FOR BOTH. CAR FELT LIKE IT WAS RUNNING OUT OF GAS. WE PULLED OFF THE STREET AND SHUT IT DOWN AND WAITED,WE HAD PLENTY OF GAS. WE STARTED IT BACK UP AND IT SEEMED OK, THE ENGINE AND POWER TRAIN LIGHTS REMAINED ON. SINCE I HAD TAKEN IT IN FOR THE RECALL ALREADY AND WE WERE CLOSE TO SOUTHGATE FORD WE PULLED INTO THE SERVICE AREA I SPOKE TO THE SERVICE PERSON AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD COST 600.00 TO FIX. I MENTIONED THE RECALL, HE SAID THAT WAS JUST FOR THE SOFTWARE WE THEN LEFT AN WENT TO AUTO ZONE WHERE THEY PUT THEIR DIAGNOSTIC TOOL ON THE CAR AND THE PRINT OUT READ THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE THROTTLE BODY. FORD DEALERS REFUSE TO REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY UNDER THE RECALL. *TR
COMING TO A STOP AT A RED STOP LIGHT AND THEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE FROM RED TO GREEN LIGHT AT AN INTERSECTION MY VEHICLE WENT INTO LIMP MODE, IT LOST POWER. IT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PASS 10MPH. AN ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AS A ORANGE WRENCH LIGHT. I DROVE AS I COULD AND MADE TO AUTO ZONE. THEY PLUG IN THE HAND HELD CAR COMPUTER AND IT GAVE THE CODE P2119. WHICH STANDS FOR THROTTLE BODY. *TR
MY VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED WHEN I WAS DRIVING AND NO MATTER HOW MUCH I TRIED TO PRESS ON THE GAS...IT WOULD NOT MOVE SAFELY. I WAS VERY LUCKY BECAUSE THIS WAS AT A TRAFFIC INTERSECTION ON BEECHMONT AND EIGHT MILE. I PROCEEDED TO DRIVE IT TO THE ENTERPRISE PARKING LOT ALBEIT IT WAS EXTREMELY SLOW AND I HAD CARS HONKING AT ME BECAUSE OF THE LIGHTS ON THE INTERSECTION. THE MECHANIC REPAIR SHOP SAYS IT'S THE THROTTLE BODY. *TR
THIS VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED USED FROM A LINCOLN MERCURY DEALER IN EARLY JULY, 2014. MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 63,500 MILES. AT THE TIME THE AIR CONDITIONING WORKED FINE. EARLY IN AUGUST WE NOTICED THE AIR CONDITIONING WAS NO LONGER COOLING THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS AN OUTSTANDING RECALL --- 14S05 -- RELATED TO THE POWER STEERING. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL FORD DEALER TO HAVE THE RECALL WORK DONE. AS A SIDE ISSUE I ASKED THAT THE A/C BE CHECKED. TO MY HORRIFIED SURPRISE I WAS TOLD A "DESICCANT BAG" IN THE A/C ACCUMULATOR HAD BURST AND THE TINY DESICCANT PARTICLES HAD SPREAD THROUGHOUT THE SYSTEM, CLOGGING UP VARIOUS PARTS AND CAUSING THE SYSTEM TO FAIL. THESE PARTICLES CANNOT BE FLUSHED OUT COMPLETELY AND THE ONLY FIX IS TO REPLACE ALL OF THE COMPONENTS OF THE A/C, FOR $2700!!!!! BECAUSE OF THE COST I HAVE NOT HAD THE WORK DONE. THE DEALER PEOPLE ADVISED ME TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH NHTSA AND TO CONTACT FORD CUSTOMER RELATIONS. I HAVE DONE THAT, BUT NO RELIEF HAS BEEN OFFERED. I WANT TO REGISTER MY OUTRAGE AT THIS SITUATION PARTICULARLY AS A BASIC GOOGLE SEARCH:" FORD ESCAPE/MERCURY MARINER AIR CONDITIONING PROBLEMS OR DESICCANT BAG" REVEALS MANY HUNDREDS, PROBABLY THOUSANDS OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS (REPAIR COSTS UP TO $4000!) AND SHOW THAT FORD HAS BEEN AWARE OF THIS ISSUE FOR AT LEAST A COUPLE OF YEARS BUT HAS TAKEN NO ACTION. I URGE YOU TO HAVE FORD RECALL THE AFFECTED VEHICLES AND REPAIR THEM AT FORD'S EXPENSE. DRIVING FROM COLUMBUS TO CINCINNATI AROUND 1:00 AM WITH MY DAUGHTER, SON AND 15 MONTH OLD GRANDDAUGHTER. THE CAR LOST ALL POWER LEAVING US STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. AS I PULLED OVER THE CAR BEGAN TO SHAKE, ALMOST LIKE THERE WAS WATER IN THE GAS LINE. I TURNED THE CAR OFF, WAITED A FEW MINUTES AND THEN RESTARTED. THE CAR RESET ITSELF AND LUCKILY WE MADE IT THE REST OF THE WAY HOME. NOT TOO LONG AFTER THAT, I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AND IT DID THE SAME THING. EXCEPT THIS TIME, IT WOULD ONLY GO ABOUT 2 MILES BEFORE IT WOULD QUIT AGAIN. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS ISSUE. NO ONLY COULD I HAVE BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT, BUT BEING STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE EXPRESSWAY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT WITH AN INFANT WAS TERRIFYING! I HAD THE THROTTLE VALVE SENSOR REPLACED AND THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANY ADDITIONAL INSTANCES OF POWER FAILURE.
AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AT ERRATIC TIMES. TOOK IT TO FORD DEALER, IT TURNS OUT THE INTERNAL FAULT WITH RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE. THIS REPAIR WILL COST ALMOST $900 TO REPAIR A SAFETY ITEM THAT IS NOT A WORN PART BUT A ELECTRICAL MODULE THAT DEPLOYS THE AIRBAG. I FIND IT DIFFICULT TO BELIEVE THAT SUCH AN ITEM IS THE OWNERS RESPONSIBILITY. IF IT IS AN ITEM THAT WEARS, YES, MECHANICAL, YES BUT THIS IS A MODULE THAT IS DESIGNED FOR THE EMERGENCY DEPLOYMENT OF THE SAFETY AIRBAGS AND FORD HOLDS NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE FAILURE. MILEAGE AND AGE SHOULD NOT COME INTO PLAY ON THIS ISSUE. I PRAY MY FAMILY REMAINS SAFE, I CANNOT AFFORD THIS COST. *TR
DURING NORMAL DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THE ENGINE LOST POWER, THE WRENCH LIGHT ON THE DASH LIT. THE VEHICLE SPUTTERED AND SUDDENLY DECREASED IN SPEED, MAKING FOR HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. I MOVED TO THE SIDE OF THE 4 LANE HIGHWAY AND INTO THE BREAKDOWN LANE. I PLACED THE VEHICLE IN PARK, THE ENGINE IDLED ROUGHLY. I TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED THE CAR AND THE SYMPTOMS WERE GONE. A WEEK LATER THE SAME TROUBLE RETURNED. PLEASE PRESS FMC TO RESOLVE AT NO-COST TO CONSUMER THE OBVIOUS AND DANGEROUS MANUFACTURE DEFECT WITH A RECALL ON THE AFFECTED PARTS/SYSTEM. *TR
WAS GOING HOME FROM WORK, ABOUT 20 MPH, CAR SPUTTERED AND STOPPED ACCELERATING ON RAMP, ENGINE AND WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON. THIS HAD HAPPENED BEFORE SO I KNEW TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON TO GET MY CAR TO WORK AGAIN. BUT ALAS, I AM DRIVING AT ABOUT 30 MPG FOR ONLY 2 MINUTES AND IT HAPPENS AGAIN! I WAS AGAIN ON ANOTHER RAMP, COMPLETELY BLOCKING TRAFFIC. THANK GOD I WAS NOT YET ON I-95 GOING AT A HIGH SPEED, OR EVEN WORSE WITH MY CHILD IN THE CAR. DRIVING 7-6-14 SAME SYMPTOMS (MIL P2112 AND LIMP HOME IDLE ONLY) WHILE IN TRAFFIC. IDLED OUT OF TRAFFIC, SHUT ENGINE OFF, KEY ON ENGINE OFF REPEATEDLY TAPPED THROTTLE PEDAL TO WORK THROTTLE BODY MOTOR AND PLATE. CLEARED CODES, DROVE HOME, PULLED THROTTLE BODY. STILL CLEAN WITH NO CARBON/RESIDUE OR OTHER SIGNS OF MATERIAL THAT WOULD OBSTRUCT THROTTLE VALVE MOVEMENT. SOURCING NEW THROTTLE BODY NOW. *JS

MY 2010 MERCURY MARINER HAS STARTED JERKING WHEN I ATTEMPT TO SLOW DOWN. IT IS JERKING UNBEARABLY HARD. I TOOK IT TO A LOCAL GARAGE, HAD BOTH FRONT AND BACK BRAKES REPLACED. THAT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. WHILE THE BACKEND OF THE CAR IS JACKED UP, THE BACK RIGHT WHEEL WILL STILL TURN WHILE HOLDING THE BRAKES??? THE JERKING OF THE CAR IS ALMOST AS IF THE CAR IS SKIPPING A GEAR OR TRYING TO SWITCH GEARS. THE CAR IS ALSO MAKING A WHINNING SOUND. I FEEL AS IF THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT FORD SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR. I HAD TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS OF MY CAR STALLING IN THE PAST THREE DAYS. ON MAY 1ST I WAS TRAVELING AT ABOUT 40 MPH WHEN MY WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR STALLED OUT. FORTUNATELY THERE WAS A MEDIAN RIGHT BY ME AND I WAS ABLE TO HURRY UP AND MOVE OVER BEFORE THE CAR CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. ON MAY 3RD I WAS TRAVELING AT ABOUT 35 MPH WHEN THE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON AND MY CAR STALLED OUT IN MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THIS TIME I WAS STUCK IN MIDDLE OF THE ROAD BUT NO ONE WAS BEHIND ME. I WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE CAR AND CONTINUE DRIVING. IF THIS HAD HAPPENED ON THE MAIN ROAD THEN THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A GOOD CHANCE OF AN ACCIDENT OCCURRING AND HARMING ME OR MY CHILDREN.

I WAS TRYING TO ACCELERATE AT A STOP LIGHT AND THE TRANSMISSION (?) DID NOT ENGAGE. WHEN I CAME TO A STOP LIGHT THE CAR JERKED LIKE IT WAS IT COULD NOT SWITCH GEARS. *TR
WHILE DRIVING AND ATTEMPTING TOP ACCELERATE UP TO SPEED, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SLOW AND HESITATE. IT WOULD NOT PROPERLY ACCELERATE. AFTER GOING A SHORT DISTANCE AT REDUCED SPEED, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHAKE AND HESITATE. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT HOME (LUCKILY NOT TOO FAR). THE WRENCH SYMBOL ON THE DASH ILLUMINATED DURING THIS EPISODE AS WHEEL. I CHECKED THEOWNERS MANUAL AND THEN CALLED MY LOCAL DEALER WHO RECOMMENDED THE CARE BE TOWED TO DEALER AND NOT DRIVEN. THIS WAS DONE THE NEXT DAYAND AFTER A FULL DAY OF CHECKING THE VEHICLE, THE DEALER ADVISED THEY HAD NO IDEA WHAT THE PROBLEMS WAS. THEY RELEASED THE CARE TO ME. THE NEXT WEEK THE SAME SITUATION HAPPENED SEVERAL MORE TIME AND FINALLY, WHILE ON THE WAY TO DEALER, IT HAPPENED AGAIN WITH THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON AS WELL. THIS TIME THE DEALER IDENTIFIED THE PROBLEM AS THE THROTTLE BODY AND REPLACED IT AT A COST INEXCESS OF $500. *TR

ONE YEAR LATER, THE CONTACT OBSERVED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW SLID DOWN INTO THE DOOR AND HAD TO BE MANUALLY RAISED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED.
