Windshield wipers don’t work drivers side works but won’t go all the way down the passenger side don’t work at all when it wants to work it gets stuck in the other wiper and bends the arms
In February of 2025 I was driving on the highway and my car stopped accelerating and the “ASC system required” light turned on. The RPM stayed at 4,000-5,000 and my car dropped from 60MPH to 20MPH. I had to drive on the side of the highway 20 minutes home like this. I took the car into a shop and they said the exhaust and catalytic converter was clogged and replaced it. It ran okay after that for about 3 weeks and then the same thing started to happen again. I have had to pull onto the side of the highway about 10-15 times as of writing this to restart my car/drive home going 20-30MPH. I brought it to the Mitsubishi dealership last week and they said I will need a whole new exhaust manifold, muffler, and catalytic converter due to it “being clogged” and quoted me just over 6,000 for it to be fixed even though I just replaced all of this in February. They did not give me an explanation as to why this is happening or explaining what is causing the “ASC system service required” light to go off.
My trunk lid is rusting away. Around the latch my hand has gone through it. We are not sure why this is happening.
I picked up my vehicle from having a recall service done. but when i was unloading the rental car my car began to roll due to ebrake recall that has not been properly addressed. have warning lights indicating airbag service and that passenger airbag is off when it is occupied. Airbags should never fail, nor should brakes. no matter miles or salt on road. if salt corodes a certain part than it must be an aloy that will not corrode. also brake lines should not ever rust they too should be coated with epoxy or alloy metals that are impervious to salt...
Not reporting an incident but this vehicle has a dash light that says to "service airbags" shouldn't this be a safety recall as I don't know what's wrong with them.
The contact owns a 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. The contact stated while driving 20 MPH, the check engine and the ASC warning light were illuminated. Additionally, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal, but the vehicle failed to exceed 10 MPH. The contact stated that the vehicle was driven to a nearby independent mechanic. The independent mechanic diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the PCM needed to be updated. The contact stated that the failure was related to TSB Number: 13−13−008. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle would be repaired at her own expense. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 110,400.
The contact owns a 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start. The contact replaced the battery; however, while driving, the vehicle jerked and hesitated to respond upon depressing the accelerator pedal. The traction control warning light and an unknown warning light were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the map sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred while driving. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer but was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they could not assist because the vehicle was not covered under Mitsubishi Campaign Number: SR−16−006. The failure mileage was unknown. The VIN was unavailable.
I was on the freeway and all of the sudden the transmission stopped working and I was unable to get to the side of the road safely do to loss of power and traffic conditions. There was transmission warning light that came on and right after that when I pressed on the acceleration the engine would rev, but there was no reaction to the gears. This resulted in me being stuck in an active lane of traffic and nearly being hit several times. I called the police and informed them because I didn’t want to cause an accident but do to another accident I was stranded for 50 minutes in the active lane of traffic. Apparently this is a known issue with this transmission but the manufacturer is not responding and issued a recall like it needs to. Something like this could get someone seriously injured or killed! I’m lucky no one was injured in my situation but on a very busy freeway something like this could cause a huge pile up if a car all of the sudden is just stopped in the middle of the road. Who knows how many people could be hurt or die in a situation like that happening.
VEHICLE JUST STOPPED SHIFTING. VEHICLE CAN GO IN FIRST AND REVERSE, BUT THAT IS IT.
ASC WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND SHORTLY AFTER THE ENGINE OVERHEATING WARNING. THIS HAPPENED ON THE EXPRESSWAY (COLD TEMPERATURE: 15-20 DEGREES IN KY)
WHILE DRIVING AND AUTOMATIC THE CAT JUMPS RPMS AND DOESN'T SHIFT RIGHT WHEN IN MANUAL IT DRIVES PERFECTLY FINE.
ELECTRICAL POWER STEERING IS GOING OUT. STERLING/MOANING WHEN I ENTER OR LEAVE A PARKING SPACE. A NEW THING HAS BEEN ADDED - THE BRAKES 'CATCH' WHEN I MAKE A HARD BRAKE AND I WONDER IF THE TWO ARE ASSOCIATED WITH EACH OTHER.
VEHICLE WAS AT DEALER SHIP FOR RECALLS. REAR CALIPERS STILL LOCK UP SLIGHTLY FROM EMERGENCY BRAKE ACTUATOR ISSUE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE ACTUATOR LEVER BUT NEVER REMOVED THE CALIPER TO DISASSEMBLE AND CLEAN OUT CORROSION BEHIND PISTON. STUART SAID THE SPRINGS WERE REPLACED. I LOOKED AND CAN SEE THE ORIGONAL RUSTY SPRINGS. THE BRAKES STILL SLIGHTLY LOCK UP ON THE REARS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER SPORT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH, SHE LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE WITHOUT WARNING AND HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY UPON IMPACT. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT BODY SHOP WHERE SHE WAS INFORMED THAT HER LOWER CONTROL WAS THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE; SHE WAS GIVEN AN ESTIMATE FOR THE REPAIR. MONTHS AFTER THE ACCIDENT, THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V279000 (STRUCTURE, SUSPENSION) WHICH SHE LINKED TO HER FAILURE. THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 52,000.
RIGHT REAR CALIPER RUBS AND STICKS FOR A FEW DAYS THEN STOPS AFTER A FEW MILES. IT DOES NOT DO IT EVERY DAY OR EVERY TIME I DRIVE THE VEHICLE. DOES IT MORE WHEN IT IS BELOW 40. CONTINUES TO BE AN ISSUE, CANNOT GET PARTS TO FIX IT ANYWHERE INCLUDING MITSUBISHI. CALLED A DEALER 2 WEEKS AGO TO ORDER AND STILL WAITING FOR THE PART TO COME IN.
THE FRONT DOOR (PASSENGER SIDE) HAS RUSTED ALL ALONG THE BOTTON OF THE DOOR. IN ADDITION THERE IS A NOISE COMING FROM THE DOOR WHEN YOU OPEN AND CLOSE IT. SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING IS LOOSE INSIDE THE DOOR BETWEEN THE OUTER DOOR AND THE INNER DOOR. THERE IS NO RUST ON THE REST OF THE CAR.
SINCE I'VE OWNED THE VEHICLE THERE HAVE BEEN TWO PRIOR RECALLS CONCERNING THE WIPER MOTORS. THE LAST REPAIR WAS NOT RIGHT AND I COMPLAINED TO ANY THAT WOULD LISTEN YET NOTHING WAS DONE. NOW MY WIPER BLADE MOTOR IS FAILING IN THE SAME WAY AS THE PRIOR RECALL SPOKE OF. MY BLADES FUNCTION ERRATICALLY AND DO NOT COME BACK TO REST IN THE PARK POSITION. THE ORIGINAL RECALL WORK AND PARTS WHERE SUBPAR AT BEST.

THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC IN HOT WEATHER AT THE TIME OF THE MESSAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION PUMP FAILED. THE MECHANIC CHECKED ALL OVER THE NATION AND COULD NOT FIND A USED TRANSMISSION BECAUSE OF THE RECALL ISSUES. FUCCILLO MITSUBISHI (18822 US-11, WATERTOWN, NY 13601, (800) 244-1745) STATED THAT THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED AND THE REPAIR WOULD COST MORE THAN $8,000. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND RUDELY STATED THAT THEY WERE NOT GOING TO ISSUE A RECALL JUST FOR THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE AND IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 106,500.
TOOK VEHICLE IN TO DEALER DUE TO A VIBRATION COMING FROM TRANSMISSION, AND ALSO, MY VEHICLE WOULD BE SLUGGISH WHEN IT WARMED UP. MOST CONCERNING, WAS WHEN SLOWING AT AN INTERSECTION TO TURN, AND THEN PRESSING THE GAS TO ACCELERATE, THE VEHICLE WOULD BE HESITANT. THIS ALMOST RESULTED IN A CAR ACCIDENT. BASED ON OTHER REVIEWERS, I FIND THIS TO BE A CONCERN FOR MORE THAN JUST MYSELF. I HAD TO PURCHASE A BRAND NEW TRANSMISSION AT $7,100. TOTAL MILES IS 56,000. WHEN ON THE HIGHWAY, AND ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE. THE RPMS WOULD SHOOT UP, BUT THE TRANSMISSION FELT LIKE IT WOULD NOT SHIFT GEARS. I HAD TROUBLE AT TIMES SPEEDING UP ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS COULD HAVE ALSO RESULTED IN A BAD ACCIDENT.

WHEN I AM ACCELERATING, PUSHING THE GAS PEDAL THE RPMS GO DOWN SIGNIFICANTLY THEN RISER SIGNIFICANTLY. NOW THERE IS A DEEP RUMBLE OR VIBRATION IF I GO ABOVE 50 AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. I LIVE IN FLAT TERRAIN WITH OCCASIONAL HILLS BUT DRIVE MOSTLY HIGHWAYS.

THEY ARE SAYING THIS RECALL DOES NOT AFFECT MY VIN #. MY CAR IS ALSO A 2014, I THINK YOU NEED TO REVISE YOUR RECALL TO INCLUDE MY VIN # AND ALL OTHERS THAT WERE PRODUCED THE SAME DAY, AS THE SAME THING IS HAPPENING TO MINE AND AVOID LOSS OF LIFE AND THE LIABILITIES THAT CAN COME FROM THAT.

THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND WAITED FOR THE RAIN TO SUBSIDE. VICTORY MITSUBISHI (4070 BOSTON ROAD, BRONX, NEW YORK 10475, (718) 618-6292) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V792000 (VISIBILITY) AND THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR WAS REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE WINDOW REGULATOR WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED FIVE DAYS AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 59,800.
WHILE DRIVING IN A SLOW MOVING CONSTRUCTION ZONE, APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP, CONTINUING TO MOVE FORWARD. NOTICED ON THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE THAT AT TIMES ANTI LOCK BRAKES COME ON AND MAKES THE VEHICLE MORE DIFFICULT TO CONTROL. SPECIFICALLY UNDER WET ROAD CONDITION ON ASPHALT, BUT DOES HAPPEN OCCASIONALLY ELSEWHERE.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CALLED, BUT THERE WAS NO ANSWER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,765.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V103000 (VISIBILITY) AND STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER FAILED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WITHIN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. AN UNKNOWN LOCAL DEALER, WHICH WAS NO LONGER IN BUSINESS, WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE TO PERFORM THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
THE MANUFACTURER HAS FAILED OR IS UNABLE TO REMEDY TWO SAFETY RECALLS FOR MY VEHICLE IN A TIMELY MANNER. I CONTACT THEM TWICE, AND NO ONE GIVE ME ANY FEEDBACK.
MY 2014, MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER SPORT, FEELS LIKE IT'S WOBBLING AND I HEAR A CLUNKING NOISE THEN I PRESS ON MY BRAKES, THE NOISE GETS LOUDER WHEN IT SLOWS DOWN. I HAD IT INSPECTED AND THEY CHANGED TWO OF THE ROTORS IN AUGUST, SO I THOUGHT THAT WOULD HELP, BUT IT DIDN'T IT STILL DOING THE SAME THING. I CHECKED MY VIN # ON THE MITSUBISHI WEBSITE AND IT STATES THERE ARE NO RECALLS FOR MY CAR. IT'S BEGINNING TO GET A BIT SCARY!

DURING THE CRASH, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED A NECK INJURY, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 118,335.
I'M NOT SURE IF IT IS IN THE MOTOR OR TRANSMISSION OF MY SUV. WHAT HAPPENS IS WHEN I AM DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY I PUSH DOWN ON THE ACCELERATOR AND ITS AS THOUGH MY CAR IS STANDING STILL THEN A FEW SECONDS LATER THE ACCELERATE STARTS TO WORK AND MOVE THE CAR, THIS HAS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES AND I HAVE ALMOST BEEN HIT FROM BEHIND BECAUSE OF THIS. I NO LONGER DRIVE MY CAR ON THE HIGHWAYS BECAUSE I'M TERRIFIED THAT THIS WILL HAPPEN AGAIN WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY AND I WILL BE CRASHED OR EVEN KILLED DUE TO WHAT EVER IS GOING ON WITH MY CAR
I DO NOT HAVE AN AUTO LIGHT FUNCTION ON THE VEHICLE BUT THE LIGHTS WILL RANDOMLY COME ON, EVEN THOUGH THE SWITCH IS TURNED TO OFF. WHEN THIS HAPPENS MY TURN SIGNALS DO NOT WORK AT ALL. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP SINCE IT IS UNDER WARRANTY, BUT BECAUSE THE LIGHTS AND TURN SIGNALS WERE WORKING AT THAT MOMENT THEY DID NOT DO ANYTHING BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT DIAGNOSE A PROBLEM (DESPITE MY SPECIFICS ABOUT WHAT WAS OCCURRING AND THE DANGERS DRIVING WITH NO TURN SIGNALS POSES). INITIALLY THIS ONLY HAPPENED WHEN I STARTED THE CAR, BUT NOW IT WILL HAPPEN RANDOMLY WHEN I AM DRIVING. THE LIGHTS COME ON THEN THE TURN SIGNALS STOP WORKING.
JERKING FORWARD WHEN CAR MITS OUTLANDER SPORT STARTS. HAVE TRIED USING HAND BRAKE ON PARKING BUT ONCE VEHICLE IS STARTED IT SHOOTS FORWARD.
AFTER A FULL STOP BRAKE PEDAL GOES TO CAR FLOOR AND CAR MOVE FORWARD EVEN PEDAL IS TO THE FLOOR I BILEVE IS THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER I HAVE TAKE THE CAR TO DEALER AND RESPONSE IS WE CAN NOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM IN LESS THAN A MONTH HAS HAPPEN 6 TIMES
TURN SIGNALS DO NOT SHUT OFF AFTER TURN. MUST TURN OFF MANUALY. AND SOMETIMES HEAD LIGHTS COME ON WHEN TURN SIGNALS ARE ON.. SAME PROBLEM WHEN CHANGING LANES ON A HIGHWAY..
UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE AND TAKING OFF WITH THE SHIFTER ENGAGED IN AUTOMATIC, THE CAR QUICKLY ENGAGES THE FIRST GEAR BUT AS I DEPRESS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL TO ACCELERATE, IT FEELS AND SOUNDS LIKE THE ENGINE IS ABOUT TO STALL OUT AND THE VEHICLE SLOWS BACK DOWN AS IF HESITATING AND MALFUNCTIONING, THEN IT VERY SLOWLY OVER ABOUT A 20-30 SECOND LULL WILL BEGIN TO PICK UP SPEED AT AN INCREDIBLY SLOW AND DANGEROUS SPEED. I HAVE TRIED MAKING RIGHT TURNS AND LEFT YIELD TURNS ONLY TO FIND THAT I CANNOT MOVE FAST ENOUGH OUT OF ANOTHER VEHICLES PATH IN A SAFE TIME AND THAT IT IS TOO DIFFICULT TO TRY AND PRESUME HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE TO CROSS A STREET AS THE ACCELERATION OF THE VEHICLE IS UNPREDICTABLE EVERY TIME. I HAVE TO CONSTANTLY DRIVE WITH THE SHIFTER IN MANUAL TO OVERRIDE THIS PROBLEM. THIS HAS ALMOST CAUSED ME SEVERAL ACCIDENTS BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO DECIPHER THE SAFER MANUAL POSITION IT ACCELERATION OF THE VEHICLE.
SEAT BELT COVERS N COVERS THAT COVER BOLTS N NUTS KEEP COMING OFF... ONES AT FEET THAT COVER MECHANICS WON'T STAY ON. MAKES BELTS NOT FIT PROPERLY AND NOT CATCH WHEN NEEDED, NOR DO THEY STAY UNTANGLED NOR IN RIGHT POSITION ON BODIES.
WHEN I PUSH ON GAS, THE CAR NEVER SHIFTS GEARS! I CAN START OUT SLOWLY WITH A LITTLE GAS PEDDLE PRESSURE, BUT WHEN TRYING TO GET UP TO SPEED AND MERGE WITH TRAFFIC, IT WILL NEVER SHIFT INTO A HIGHER GEAR! IT STAYS AT ABOUT 20MPH AND ENGINE REVS TO RED ZONE UNLESS I LIFT OFF GAS. I DON'T EVEN GET GAS PEDDLE HALF WAY DOWN. TRANSMISSION ROARS, CAR DOESN'T GO, AND I CAN'T GO FORWARD BUT AT A SLOW CRAWL UNLESS I PULL OVER, LET OFF GAS COMPLETELY SO CAR CAN SETTLE, THEN TRY AGAIN. IT WON'T SHIFT IN AWD OR 4WD AND I OLD LADY, I DON'T TROOMP N ROCKET. I JUST WANT TO GET UP TO 55MPH WITHIN 1 MILE WITHOUT SENDING MY ENGINE INTO DRAGONFLIES AND HALF A TANK OF GAS GONE! I ASKED DEALER AND HE BLEW IT OFF AS A SLOW STARTINGVEHICLE, BUT IT'S GETTING WORSE AND TYRANNY NOT SHIFTING RIGHT. HAVE TO FIND A MITSUBISHI SERVICE CENTER.
I WAS PARKING MY CAR AND MY FOOT WAS FIRMLY ON THE BRAKE. JUST AS I WAS GOING TO SHIFT MY CAR INTO PARK, THE ENGINE REVVED AND THE CAR SURGED FORWARD I WAS UNABLE TO STOP THE CAR, IN SPITE OF BRAKING. THE CAR JUMPED THE CURB IN THE PARKING LOT AND ENDED UP STOPPING ON TOP OF A LANDSCAPING BOULDER.
