TRAVELING WEST ON HWY 44 STARTED HAVING TROUBLE GOING UP HILLS. PUT PEDAL TO THE FLOOR, AND NOTHING EXTRA. IT WAS STARVING FOR FUEL. TURNED AROUND TO GO BACK HOME, EVENTUALLY STOPPING IN SULLIVAN MO. WHILE GOING BACK I HAD TO GAIN SPEED GOING DOWNHILL IN ORDER TO MAKE IT UPHILL. ON TWO OCCASIONS I HAD A SEMI RIDER MY REAR BUMPER EVEN THOUGH I WAS IN THE SLOW LANE. ONE TIME WHILE GAINING SPED DOWN HILL, I HAD TO PASS THE SEMI IN FRONT OF ME, OR LOSE THE SPEED THAT I HAD GAINED, SO I TRIED TO PASS ON LEFT, AS USUAL, BUT THEN THE ACCELERATION STALLED ONCE AGAIN. I THEN HAD ANOTHER SEMI RIDING IN REAR VIEW MIRROR, AND WAS FEARFUL OF WHAT COULD HAPPEN. I WAS EVENTUALLY PASSED BY SEMI ON RIGHT , I GOT OVER, AND THEN THE SEMI ON THE LEFT PASSED. NEEDLESS TO SAY IT WAS NOT A GOOD SITUATION. I HAVE SEEN ON-LINE THAT THERE IS A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST NISSAN, BUT NO RECALL FOR THE CVT'S. IN MY OPINION, THIS IS A MUST. EVEN THE GUY AT NISSAN HAD TOLD ME THAT HE HAS HEARD OF MANY STORIES JUST LIKE THIS. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET HURT/KILLED IF NOTHING IS DONE. NISSAN KNOWS OF PROBLEM, HENCE THE COOLING DEVICE STARTED IN 2013 MODEL. EVEN THIS DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE. PLEASE FORCE NISSAN TO CORRECT THEIR ERROR IN JUDGMENT BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. THE TRUNK WILL NOT OPEN WITH THE LEVER INSIDE OR WITH THE FOB. THIS OCCURRED WHEN THE CAR WAS STAIONARY AND WITHOUT WARNING.
WITH MY 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA IT IS NOW BECOMING HARDER AND HARDER TO OPERATE WHILE DRIVING. THE DASHBOARD IS STARTING TO MELT AND BECOME STICKY WITH THE HOT TX WEATHER. SINCE THIS HAS STARTING HAPPENING IT'S BECOMING VERY REFLECTIVE ON THE WINDSHIELD AND IS CAUSING A DISTRACTION AND MAKING IT VERY HARD TO SEE WHILE DRIVING. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE FOR ANYTHING THAT IS IN FRONT OF ME.
STICKY, SHINY DASHBOARD WHICH IMPAIRS VISIBILITY DUE TO GLARE AND IS GROSS TO THE TOUCH.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD HESITATE TO MOVE FORWARD WHILE DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH TRANSMISSION FAILURE. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH CANNON NISSAN OF GREENWOOD (69900 US-82, GREENWOOD, MS 38930, (662) 453-4211) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
CVT TRANSMISSION
WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY MY VEHICLE WILL DEACCELERATE GOING FROM 70 MILES TO 45 MILES, EVEN THOUGH MY PEDAL IS FLUSH TO THE FLOOR. THIS HAPPENS SFTER I HAVE BEEN DRIVING FOR APPROXIMATELY 2 AND 1/2 HOURS. I HAVE HAD THIS CHECKED OUT BY AUTO REPAIR AND HAVE NOT FOUND A SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM. WHEN THIS FIRST HAPPENED I WAS IN THE FAST LANE AND WAS BARELY ABLE TO GET OVER TO THE RIGHT SHOULDER. THE SECOND TIME I HAD MY GRANDCHILDREN WITH ME AND WE WERE BASICALLY STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD 2 AND A HALF HOURS FROM HOME WITH NO WAY TO GET ANYWHERE FOR HELP.

THE VEHICLE SHIFTED TO LIMP MODE WHILE DRIVING THE COMPLAINANT WAS STRANDED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE CVT TRANSMISSION COOLING SYSTEM INADEQUATE TO COOL FLUIDS CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO GO INTO SAFE DRIVING/LIMP MODE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING FOR 45 MINUTES TO ONE HOUR,THE VEHICLE SHIFTED INTO LIMP MODE. THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DECELERATED FROM 70 MPH DOWN TO 20-30 MPH. THE CONTACT STATED THAT EVEN WITH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL DOWN TO THE FLOORBOARD, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MILLER AUTO PLAZA LOCATED AT 2900 2ND ST S, ST CLOUD, MN 56301, (320) 200-2472, TO BE DIAGNOSED HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO RETRIEVE A FAULT CODE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED ON A DAILY BASIS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE, CASE NUMBER: 36304669. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 190,000.PIIR=Y. AH
THE POWER OUTLET IN THE CENTER CONSOLE HAD GONE BAD SO MY HUSBAND CHANGED THE FUSE AND AS SOON AS I STARTED TO DRIVE, MY CAR STARTED JUMPING AND WOULD NOT GO OVER 15MPH. THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAD BOTH COME ON. I TURNED THE CAR OFF FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS THEN CRANKED IT AGAIN, THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT WAS OFF AND THE CAR DROVE FINE. NOW AT RANDOM TIMES, USUALLY IF THE CAR IS LEFT IDLING, THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT WILL COME BACK ON AND THE SAME THING HAPPENS BUT IF I TURN THE CAR OFF FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS THEN CRANK IT AGAIN, THE LIGHT IS OFF AND THE CAR RUNS FINE AGAIN. THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR WAS REPLACED IN 2017 BUT THAT IS THE CODE WE KEEP GETTING WHEN IT IS HOOKED TO A COMPUTER. THE TRANSMISSION WAS ALSO REPLACED IN 2017, NO ISSUES WITH IT SO FAR... NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MY CAR BUT IT'S PRETTY SCARY WHEN I'M DRIVING WITH MY 3 KIDS AND THE CAR DECIDES TO LOSE POWER, JUMP ALL OVER THE ROAD AND ONLY DRIVE 15MPH. THIS HAPPENS AT LEAST 3 TIMES A DAY AND SINCE THIS IS MY PRIMARY WAY OF TRANSPORTATION, I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IS CAUSING THIS ISSUE SO IT CAN BE FIXED AND I CAN SAFELY TRANSPORT MY CHILDREN AGAIN.
AIRBAG ON PASSENGER SIDE INDICATES THAT IT IS OFF AND WARNING LIGHT FLASHES ON DASHBOARD. HAVE RESET IT SEVERAL TIMES BUT RESET ONLY LASTS ABOUT 30 MINS. 31200 MILES ON VEHICLE. WAS TOLD IT MAY BE SEAT SENSOR AND NEARLY $850 TO REPLACE.

TAKATA RECALL, I HAVE A 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA AND I PURCHASED FROM A DEALER IN JAN 2015. I BELIEVE THIS CAR MUST BE A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. IT'S A PRE-OWNED CAR. JUST AFTER DRIVING IT FOR 1.5YRS, I HAVE BEEN DRIVING THE CAR THE TRANSMISSION BROKEN. THE SPEED DROPS TO 30MILES/HR FROM 65MILES/HR WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. THERE WERE CARS BEHIND ME. IT'S SO DANGEROUS. I WAS LUCKY THAT THE DRIVER BEHIND ME REACTED VERY QUICKLY AND DIDN'T HIT ME. IT WAS UNDER THE WARRANTY SO THEY REPLACED THE TORQUE CONVERTER OF THE TRANSMISSION. HOWEVER, JUST THIS PAST WEEKEND I WAS DRIVING UPHILL ON A MOUNTAIN ROAD AND A SIMILAR PROBLEM HAPPENED AGAIN. MY CAR CAN'T SHIFT CORRECTLY AND THE SPEED DROPS TO 25 MILES/HR FROM 40MIELS/HR. BOTH THE FIRST TIME AND THE SECOND TIME WHEN THIS HAPPENS THERE IS NO SIGNAL LIGHTS ON MY DASHBOARD. I WENT TO THE DEALER BUT THEY SAID I'M OUT OF THE WARRANTY AND THEY MAY NOT COVER THE REPAIR. I FAILED A CLAIM TO NISSAN CUSTOMER SERVICE AND STILL WAITING FOR THE RESPONSE TO SOLVE THIS ISSUE. THEY SAID THERE ARE NO RECALLS OF MY CAR BUT I HAVE FOUND A LOT OF REPORTS ONLINE ABOUT THEIR TRANSMISSION ISSUES AND PEOPLE HAD EXPERIENCED SIMILAR TO ME. ALSO, THE STEERING WHEEL DIDN'T WORK FOR A FEW TIMES. NISSAN SAID THEY CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS' SAFETY BUT I DON'T THINK THEY REALLY DO WHAT THEY SAID. IF THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT OUR SAFETY THEY SHOULD TAKE MORE ACTIONS ON THIS ISSUE AND RECALL THE DEFECTIVE CARS. IT'S VERY DANGEROUS FOR EVERYONE ON THE ROADS.
AS I WAS STARTING TO SLOW DOWN IN PREPARATION OF TAKING A TURN OFF THE FRONTAGE ROAD MY CAR COMPLETELY SHUT OFF, MY BRAKES AND STEERING LOCKED AND LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO COMPLETE MY TURN INTO A GAS STATION WHERE I IMMEDIATELY PUT IT IN PARK AND RESTARTED VIA PUSH START., 2 DAYS LATER THIS OCCURRED AGAIN ON A FAIRLY BUSY STREET WHERE I REPEATED THE STEPS TO START IT AGAIN. I AM EXTREMELY SCARED TO HAVE THIS HAPPEN AGAIN ON A HEAVILY TRAVELED STREET CAUSING ME TO BE INVOLVED IN A COLLISION , I HAVE RESEARCHED ONLINE AND SEE OTHER REPORTS/COMPLAINTS OF THE SAME ISSUE I DESCRIBED YET DO NOT SEE ANY RECALL ISSUED REGRADING THIS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS DEFECT.
While driving the car stopped accelerating. Thankfully this happened on a 2 lane road while no other vehicles were around and there was a driveway to pull into. My husband and child were also in the car when this happened. No warning lights/noises alarmed before this happened. We had to have the car towed home. It will turn on but will not drive. This car is notorious for transmission issues. Now we have a car that we can't drive but still owe way more than it's worth to fix. We are unable to trade/sale either. It has been very frustrating situation. We will never own another Nissan.
CAR WANDERS AND FEELS DANGEROUS OVER 60MPH
I HAVE A AUTOMATIC 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA W. 130K MILES. WHILE DRIVING, MY CAR AUTOMATICALLY SHIFTED TO NEUTRAL AND IN ORDER FOR ME TO STOP, I HAD TO PLACE MY EMERGENCY BRAKES ON. THE GEAR WAS STUCK IN BETWEEN NEUTRAL AND REVERSE AND UNABLE TO MOVE. THOUGHT IT WAS A SHIFTER CONSOLE, BUT TURNS OUT IT WAS MY TRANSMISSION. IN THIS MODEL CAR, THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT AGAINST NISSAN FOR FAILING CVT TRANSMISSIONS/ENGINES. MY FAILURE HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING AND COULD HAVE CAUSED A MAJOR ACCIDENT. DUE TO THE MILES, I AM OUT OF WARRANTY AND I DO BELIEVE THAT NISSAN SHOULD BE AT FAULT SEEING THAT THERE IS A SUIT PENDING.
AFTER A FEW HOURS OF DRIVING, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER AND WENT INTO "LIMP MODE" ON AN 8 LANE HIGHWAY. AFTER RESEARCH, NISSANS HAVE A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION THAT HAS YET TO HE ADDRESSED

CVT PROBLEM WITH TRANSMISSION DELAY PROBLEM GOING UP HILL VERY SCARY NEED TRANSMISSION LOOKED AT I GUESS PROBLEM VERY COMMON THIS IS A BIG SAFETY PROBLEM ALMOST GOT HIT BY CAR ACTING UP SLOWING DOWN.
CVT VEHICLE LOSES POWER WHEN DRIVING ON INCLINE ON HIGHWAY
Our vehicle has been in no collisions or anything and has been well taken care of. Out of nowhere about 3 years our airbag light came on indicating that it will not deploy. We tried to get Nissan to fix it due to hearing of recalls in the past but they said our vehicle was not included. They then said they had to try one thing at a time and the first thing was replacing the seat for $1400 and if that didn't work they will continue down a list of 10 possible things. So basically the vehicle is a deathtrap and we are not sure how it even became that. Seems like it has to be an electrical issue or the issue mentioned in the recall.
OIL COOLER LEAK WAS DETECTED DURING ROUTINE OIL CHANGE. RESEARCH SHOWED THIS MODEL & YEAR HAS A RECALL ALREADY ISSUED BUT THERE ARE NO CAMPAIGNS FOR THIS SPECIFIC VIN NOT SURE IF THIS IS SOMETHING YOU DEAL WITH OR IF IT'S A MFG ISSUE. NOT SURE WHAT STEPS ARE TO REPORT TO MFG IF THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE.

MY VEHICLE WHEN DRIVING WILL NOT THROTTLE CORRECTLY SO I HAVE TO PULL OVER ON THE ROAD AND TURN THE CAR OFF AND THAN TURN IT BACK ON. AFTER TURNING THE CAR BACK ON I WOULD RUB THE ENGINE TO MAKE SURE IT WOULD THROTTLE PASS 3. LATELY THOUGH MY CAR HAS BEEN TURNING OFF WHILE DRIVING WHICH IS A BIG SAFETY FOR MY SELF AND OTHER DRIVERS. BECAUSE I HAVE TO TURN THE CAR OF AND ON QUICKLY ESPECIALLY IF IM ON THE FREEWAY.
SO I PURCHASED MY CAR IN 2014 AT TONY NISSAN WAIPIO AND HAD CNA MANUFACTURED WARRANTY..WHICH IS A GOOD WARRANTY.BUT I COME TO REALIZE EVER SINCE.MY MANUFACTURED WARRANTY EXPIRED IN 2019, AND I ROUTINELY BRING MY CAR IN FOR OIL AND OIL FILTER MAINTENANCE EVERY 3 MONTHS, AND EACH TIME I WOULD BRING IT IN. CAUSE: VERIFIED CUSTOMERS CONCERN. "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" LIGHT IS ILLUMINATED. CHECKED FOR DTCS AND FOUND MULTIPLE DTCS (DTC WRITTEN ON RO). CLEARED DTCS AND NONE RETURNED AFTER TEST DRIVE. VEHICLE DID FEEL A BIT SLUGGISH ON FIRST TEST DRIVE. CHECKED FLUID LEVELS AND FOUND OIL LEVEL A BIT LOW. ALSO NOTICED DRIVES FLOOR MAT TUCKED UNDER GAS PEDAL. REMOVED FLOOR MAT AND TEST DROVE AGAIN. VEHICLES ACCELERATION FEELS NORMAL. WENT TO STEEP HILL TO DUPLICATE CUSTOMERS CONCERN. COULD NOT VERIFY CUSTOMERS CONCERN. AGAIN, CORRECTION: REPLACED BOTH CAM POSITION SENSORS AS WELL AS THE CRANK POSITION SENSOR. CLEARED ALL DTCS AND TEST DROVE VEHICLE NO DTCS RETURNED. VEHICLE DRIVES FINE WITH NO ISSUES.
I PURCHASED THE 2012 NISSAN IN 2015 WITH ONLY 22,000 AND SOMETHING MILES. ONCE THE CAR GOT TO ABOUT 76,000 SOMETHING MILES A WHINING NOISE STARTED. SO NOW WITH THE CAR AT ONLY 83,074 MILES THE TRANSMISSION ISN'T GETTING ANY POWER. SO I TURN TO READ REVIEWS AND TALK TO PEOPLE ONLY TO FIND OUT THE CVT'S AREN'T WORTH ANYTHING AND TO GET THEM REPLACED THE PRICE IS RIDICULOUS AND I CAN'T AFFORD IT. BUT YOU WOULD THINK WITH ALL THE COMPLAINTS ABOUT IT NISSAN WOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I WOULD NOT TELL ANYONE TO PURCHASE A NISSAN EVER. MY TRANSMISSION WENT OUT AND I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC AND THEY SAID IT IS GONNA COST 3,400 TO FIX IT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IF THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON THE TRANSMISSION I WAS COMING HOME FROM WORK AND AND THE TRANSMISSION JUST STOPED WORKING BEARELY MADE IT HOME

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A GLARE COMING FROM THE DASHBOARD AND REFLECTING ONTO THE WINDSHIELD MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SEE WHILE DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 84,000.
TAKATA RECALL MY 2012 ALTIMA HAS BEEN HAVING SOME SHIFTING ISSUES WHILE I AM DRIVING. MIND YOU THIS CALL HAS 58,000 MILES ON IT (YES 2012 WITH 58,000). IT IS OVER THE 5 YEAR POWER TRAIN WARRANTY BUT UNDER THE MILEAGE. NISSAN DOES NOT CARE. THERE SHOULD BE ZERO REASONS WHY A CAR WITH LESS THAN 60,000 MILES SHOULD BE HAVING ANY TYPE OF TRANSMISSION ISSUES. NISSAN NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.

ONE 2 SEPARATE OCCASIONS MY VEHICLE HAS COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN WITHOUT WARNING. THE FIRST TIME WAS WHILE I WAS SITTING A RED, THE SECOND TIME I WAS ACTUALLY DRIVING THROUGH TRAFFIC AND THE CAR LOST ALL POWER I WITHOUT ANY WARNING. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED IT TOOK ABOUT A HOUR BEFORE THE CAR WOULD START AGAIN, LUCKILY THE SECOND TIME IT HAPPENED I WAS ABLE TO START THE CAR WITHIN A FEW MINUTES. I HAVE READ A FEW STORIES AND COMPLAINTS ON CAR GURUS THAT OTHER NISSAN OWNERS ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES WITH THEIR VEHICLE. I TRULY FEEL UNSAFE IN THIS VEHICLE AND THIS MATTER NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO IMMEDIATELY BEFORE SOMEONE GETS SERIOUSLY INJURED. IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME.

WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY FOR MORE THAN 1.5 HOURS THE CAR SUDDENLY LOSES POWER AND SLOWS DOWN TO 45MPH OR LESS OR NOW POWER AT ALL. BECAUSE THE CVT OVERHEATS AND SHUTS DOWN. A NISSAN DEALERSHIP INSPECTED IT AND SAID WE NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION.

MY AIR BAG LIGHT ISFLASHING, WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY SAID NISSAN SHOULD HAVE PAY FOR THE REPAIR BECAUSE THE AIR BAG SHOULD NOT GIVE ANY PROBLEM UNLESS THE CAR INVOLVE IN AN ACCIDENT. I DECIDE TO FILE A COMPLAINT, MAYBE THERE'S OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA
THE TRANSMISSION GAVE OUT AT 115,000 MILES, JUST BELOW OF THE CUTOFF FOR THE EXTENDED WARRANTY OF THE 2010 ALTIMAS. THE SAME TRANSMISSION RESIDES IN BOTH OF THESE CARS, WHY IS ONE COVERED BY AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AND THE OTHER NOT?

I CALLED NISSAN AND THEY ARE REFUSING TO FIX IT WHEN THEY KNOW THEIR TRANSMISSIONS ARE NOT GOOD BECAUSE THEY'RE A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM. I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND MY VEHICLE STARTED SLOWING DOWN IT STARTED LOSING SPEED THAT IS WHEN I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC, HAPPEN O THE HIGHWAY.
SECURITY PROMPT TO" PRESS BRAKE TO START" IN VECHICLE INFORMATION DISPLAY FAILED CAUSING CONFUSION ON PROPER STARTING PROCEDURE FOR THE VECHICLE. INFORMATION TO START VECHICLE IS BLANK IN THE SCREEN,THIS PROBLEM STARTED WITH EARLY 2007 MODELS AND HAS SHOWED UP IN MY 2012 ALTIMA. THIS VECHICLE IS STORE NORMALLY HAS 32K MILES ON IT AS OF 10/9/2018 AND SHOULDNT HAVE HAD THIS KIND OF FAILURE. WHAT ELSE IS GOING TO FAIL IN THIS INSTRUMENT CLUSTER WHILE DRIVING, IT SAFETY ISSUE. THIS DISPLAY WENT OUT WHEN STOPPED AND TURNED OFF. THIS FAILURE CAUSED LOSS OF WARNING INFORMATION ABOUT THE VECHICLE OPERATION.SEE PHOTOS OF NORMAL OPERATION SUPPLIED BY THIS DISPLAY.
WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE USING CRUISE CONTROL AT 70MPH. THE RPMS SUDDENLY INCREASED TO AROUND 6,000. AFTER THAT HAPPENED, THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I HAD TROUBLE ACCELERATING AND THE RPMS WERE NEVER ABLE TO GET OVER 3,000, EVEN WITH THE GAS PEDAL PRESSED ALL THE WAY. IT WAS DIFFICULT TO GET ANY ACCELERATION AND THE CAR WOULD MAKE A WHINING NOISE WHENEVER PRESSING ON THE GAS.
MY SON'S 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA HAS 99,500 MILES. THE CVT HAS BEEN ACTING UP MULTIPLE TIMES THIS YEAR. IT HAS GONE INTO THE FAIL-SAFE MODE AT LEAST FOUR TIMES ON THE HIGHWAY, CREATING AN UNSAFE AND HAZARDOUS CONDITION. WE'VE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TWICE TO THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALER AND WERE TOLD THAT THE TRANSMISSION HAD NOT EMITTED FAULTS. THIS IS ISSUE SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BY THE MANUFACTURER. THERE'S OBVIOUSLY AN ISSUE THAT IS CAUSING HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS.
THE MPH WOULD REGISTER AS 60 BUT I KNOW IT WAS ONLY DOING 20. GOING AROUND CURVES IT WAS ACTING LIKE IT WANT TO GO BUT DONT GO FAR. IT WILL START BUT MPH WONT MOVE, AND WONT MOVE FORWARD BUT WILL BACKUP.
