TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN ARMADA. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT BOTH TAIL LIGHTS WERE INOPERATIVE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE CONDENSER FAN FAILED AND CAUSED THE WIRING HARNESS TO OVERHEAT AND MELT. THE DEALER WILL REPLACE THE FAN AND WIRING HARNESS. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY; THEREFORE, THEY WILL NOT ASSIST WITH THE REPAIR COSTS. THE CONTACT FEELS THAT THIS IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND NISSAN SHOULD ASSIST WITH THE $1,618 REPAIR COST. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 44,100.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN ARMADA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE DISPLAYED QUARTER OF A TANK WHICH WAS INACCURATE. THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO HESITATE AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF, AS A RESULT OF A LACK OF GASOLINE IN THE FUEL TANK. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON NINE SEPARATE OCCASIONS AT ANY SPEED RATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED FOR THE MALFUNCTION. THE FAILURES OCCURRED BEFORE THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 10V074000 (FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER: STORAGE: FUEL GAUGE SYSTEM). THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 45,000.
ARMADA NISSAN BRAKE FAILURE THE BRAKE SENOR LIGHT COMING ON AND THE ABS SYSTEM START ACTING ERRATIC, VIBRATION UNDER DASH AND PEDAL MOVING BACK AND FORTH BEEN TO DEALER 15 TIMES, IS IN RIGHT NOW. WHEN THE CAR IS STOPPED AND RESTARTED ALL PROBLEMS VANISH. UNTIL THE NEXT TIME IT HAPPENS AND EVERY TIME THEY TILL ME WE PUT NEW SOFTWARE. *TR
AT 28,000 MILES WE WERE IN OUR ARMADA DRIVING ON A BUSY ROAD, I WENT TO MAKE A RIGHT HAND TURN, USED MY BRAKES, AND THEY WENT COMPLETELY TO THE FLOOR, EVENTUALLY BRAKING BUT THERE WAS A DELAY OF TWO SECONDS OR MORE. A MAJOR GRINDING NOISE ALSO SOUNDED OFF. ALL THE BRAKE LIGHTS, SLIP, ETC CAME ON. DEALERSHIP SAID THAT MY BRAKE BOOSTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THIS WAS A MANUFACTURES DEFECT SINCE THE BRAKES WEREN'T STOPPING PROPERLY. THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED AGAIN AT 95K MILES. I HAD MY CHILDREN WITH ME THIS TIME!!!! I DROVE STRAIGHT TO PEPBOYS,(WHICH WAS CLOSEST TO ME). THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE GETTING A BRAKE BOOSTER ERROR! I CALLED NISSAN CORPORATE TO FIND OUT WHAT THEY COULD DO. [XXX] OPENED CASE NUMBER [XXX]. SHE STATED I HAD TO TAKE SUV IN TO DEALERSHIP. NISSAN CONFIRMED IT WAS A BRAKE BOOSTER ISSUE AGAIN! NISSAN STATED THEY ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE OWNERSHIP OF THIS PROBLEM, BECAUSE I'M OUT OF WARRANTY. THIS ISN'T A MILEAGE OR WARRANTY ISSUE!! NISSAN ALREADY MADE THEIR DECISION NOT TO COVER THE COST OF THE FAULTY PART BECAUSE IT WAS REPLACED AT 28K MILES. BUT THIS IS THE 2ND TIME THE BRAKE BOOSTER NEEDS REPLACEMENT. DOESN'T ANYONE SEE THERE IS A PROBLEM HERE?? I AM ASKING FOR NISSAN TO TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY BUT THEY WON'T. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN LIFE THREATENING IN BOTH CIRCUMSTANCES BECAUSE AN ACCIDENT COULD HAVE OCCURRED AND NISSAN WON'T EVEN TAKE OWNERSHIP AND MAKE THIS ISSUE CORRECT?? IT'S NOT THE MONEY THAT'S AT STAKE, IT'S A FAULTY PART AND MY OWN SAFETY! THE SALES MAN AT NISSAN SAID 300-400 OF THESE HAVE BEEN REPLACED ALREADY?! THAT SHOULD RAISE A RED FLAG I WOULD HOPE? SEPTEMBER 25, 2007 MY 2006 NISSAN ARMADA 4X2 LOST BRAKING POWER. I WAS TRAVELING ON A QUIET ROAD NEAR THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP SO I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE GAS AND ROLLED TO A STOP. DELAND NISSAN SAID THE DELTO SENSOR MALFUNCTIONED AND HAD TO BE REPROGRAMED. THEY ALSO REPLACED THE BRAKE BOOSTER. I WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE MANAGER, BILL WARFIELD, THAT THIS HAS OCCURED TO OTHER OWNERS AND IS THE SOLUTION GIVEN BY NISSAN. THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN RECTIFIED ON THE 2008 NISSAN ARMADAS. THER IS NO RECALL, EVEN THOUGH THIS IS OCCURING TO OTHER ARMADA OWNERS. THIS IS A LIFE THREATENING DEFECT. HOW CAN NISSAN BE MADE TO RECALL THESE VEHICLES BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED? *TR
IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS INTERMITTENTLY THE BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON AND THE BRAKES PULSATE WHEN PUSHED ON AND THERE IS NO CONTROL OF THE BRAKES. I TOOK IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP YESTERDAY WHEN IT STARTED AGAIN AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE THE VDC UNIT NEEDED TO BE REPROGRAMMED. THE COMPUTER GAVE THEM THE CODE C1179. *JB
BRAKE INDICATOR ON DASH LIGHTS UP, HORRIBLE GRINDING NOISE AND CAR HAS VERY LITTLE BRAKING ABILITY. HAD TO PULL OVER AND LET CAR SLOWLY COAST TO A STOP. SWITCHED OFF ENGINE SET FOR A FEW MINUTES, RESTARTED AND VEHICLE WAS BACK TO NORMAL. MULTIPLE TIMES. TOOK IN TO DEALER AND WAS TOLD COULD POSSIBLY BE A BRAKE BOOSTER AT A COST OF ABOUT 1000.00 .( 1000 DOLLAR GUESS FOR A POSSIBLE LIFE THREATENING ISSUE ???) LOOKED IN FORUM AND FOUND OUT THAT THIS IS HAPPENING QUITE A BIT BUT NISSAN IS NOT DOING ANYTHING TO FIX. ARE THEY WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO DIE BEFORE THEY DO RECALL. CAR HAS BEEN SITTING FOR MONTHS . CAN'T RISK HAVING FAMILY IN CAR AND NOT BEING ABLE TO STOP AT ANYTIME. *TR
ABS / BRAKE SYSTEM: BRAKE SENSOR LIGHT COMES ON AND BRAKES START ACTING ERRATIC, BRAKES WILL LOCK UP AND ABS DOES NOT WORK. THERE IS NO WARNING WHEN THIS HAPPENS, HAS HAPPENED APPROXIMATELY 8 TIMES. STARTED APPROXIMATELY 4500 MILES AND IS STILL HAPPENING, HAS BEEN IN DEALER FOR SERVICE 6 TIMES. SENDS MULTIPLE COM CODES IMPOSSIBLE TO NARROW DOWN ABS ACTUATOR HAS BEEN REPLACED PROBLEM RESURFACED AFTER 1 WEEK FROM REPLACEMENT. THE CAR NOW HAS 10,000 MILES AND IS NOW BACK IN THE SHOP, NISSAN ENGINEERS ARE COMING DOWN TO LOOK AT THE PROBLEM. UNABLE TO LOCATE PROBLEM OVER DATA SENT TO THEM. *JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS THE 2006 NISSAN ARMADA. WHILE DRIVING ON A RAINY NIGHT AT 55 MPH SHE HEARD A LOUD NOISE. SHE STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT THE BOLTS BROKE OFF FROM THE TIE ROD THAT WAS CONNECTED TO THE AXLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER REPLACED THE AXEL. SINCE PURCHASIN, THE VEHICLE THERE WERE SEVERAL FAILURES THAT OCCURRED, THE SAFETY SENSOR AND THE HEAT WAS NOT OPERATING PROPERLY. THERE WAS RECAL CAMPAIGN # PB014, ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER TRIED TO CONTACT ALL THE OWNERS OF THIS VEHICLE. THE CONTACT FILED A COMPLAINT WITH STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 21,000.*AK UPDATED 03/30/07. *JB
WE HAVE A 2006 NISSAN ARMADA. WHICH WE PURCHASED IN OCT 2006 AT NISSAN DEALER. WE HAVE TO REPLACE BRAKE PADS EVERY 3 MONTHS. 2005 BRAKE PADS ARE ALL THAT FIT ON OUR 2006 MODEL. WE CONTACTED DEALER WITH NO RESULTS. *TR
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 85 MPH OVER DRY ASPHALT ROADS, THE LEFT SIDE SEAT BELT IN THE THIRD ROW BECAME DETACHED FROM THE FRAME OF THE VEHICLE, RENDERING THE SEAT BELT USELESS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SEEN BY A DEALER.
ABS PROBLEM: BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON AND STAYS ON, ABS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. BRAKE LIGHT WILL GO OFF WHEN CAR IS STOPPED AND IGNITION TURNED OFF AND TURNED BACK ON. DEALER INDICATED THAT ABS ACTIVATION MODULE NOT WORKING. PART AVAILABILITY IS POOR, PART ON BACK ORDER. *JB
WHEN PUSHING THE BRAKE PEDAL I WAS GETTING A BAD SHAKING VIBRATION IN THE STEERING WHEEL AND FRONT OF VEHICLE WAS PULLING REAL BAD TO THE LEFT. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE NISSAN DEALER WHERE IT WAS ORIGINALLY PURCHASED UPON PICKING MY VEHICLE UP THE NISSAN SERVICE ADVISOR INFORMED ME THAT THE ROTORS WERE RESURFACED AND NEW BRAKE PADS WERE INSTALLED. HE ALSO STATED THAT THIS WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE 2004 & 2005 MODELS BUT WAS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE AN ISSUE WITH THE 2006 MODELS. IT HAS BEEN 2 MONTHS NOW SINCE I HAD THIS PROBLEM AND I AM GETTING THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN. *NM
MAY 08 TOOK TRUCK IN FOR OIL CHANGE COMPLAINED OF BRAKES MAKING NOISE. I WAS TOLD BRAKES LOOK FINE. AUG 10 CAR MADE NOISE AS I WAS TURNING LEFT, BRAKE PETAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO FLOOR BEFORE IT WOULD STOP. DEALERSHIP SAID CALIPERS WERE WORN OUT AND STICKING. TRUCK HAS 48000 MILES THEY SAID BRAKES WERE BEING EATEN UP BY CALIPERS. THEY WANT 1,800.00 TO FIX TRUCK. I COULD NOT GET A STRAIGHT ANSWER ON WHY CALIPERS WOULD MALFUNCTION THIS EARLY. I CALL NISSAN TO COMPLAIN ABOUT CALIPERS, I WAS TOLD IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THEREFORE THEY COULD NOT HELP ME. *TR
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED CONSTANTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A SERVICE DEALER, WHERE THE DEALER DETERMINED THAT THE SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER WAS DEFECTIVE, AND WAS REPLACED. THE LIGHT CONTINUED TO ILLUMINATE, AND THE DEALER THEN DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL SHORT.
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH, IT FELT AS THOUGH THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVING OVER GRAVEL. THE VEHICLE THEN MADE A CLUNKING NOISE. THE CONTACT FOUND THE AXLE WAS HANGING UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE DEALERSHIP DETERMINED ALL 10 BOLTS THAT HOLD THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE AXLE TO THE DIFFERENTIAL FELL OFF. UPON INSPECTION, THE DEALERSHIP FOUND OTHER VEHICLES ON THE LOT WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. *NM
