(1) THE TRUCKS SPRAY-ON BEDLINER HAS HOLES AND CRACKS THAT EXTEND THE WIDTH OF THE BOX, PARALLEL TO THE TAILGATE (ABOUT 50CM FROM THE TAILGATE). THE ISSUE BECAME APPARENT BECAUSE WHITE SALT RINGS FORMED ON THE SURFACE OF THE BEDLINER (BOX IS COVERED) DUE TO SALT MIGRATING UP FROM THE ROADWAY. PER THE DEALER, THE BOX IS MISSING METAL AND/OR WELDS, AND CANNOT BE FULLY INSPECTED DUE TO THE EXISTENCE OF SAID BEDLINER. (2) THE BOX APPEARS TO BE IMPROPERLY CONNECTED TO THE TRUCKS FRAME. SPECIFICALLY, WHEN STANDING BY THE SIDE OF THE TRUCK, AND LOOKING INTO THE REAR WHEEL WELLS, THE VISIBLE CONNECTION BETWEEN THE BOX AND THE FRAME IS SLOTTED FOR A BOLT, BUT IS NOT BOLTED. THE DEALER WAS TOLD BY NISSAN THAT THE AREA IS HELD TOGETHER BY WELDS. HOWEVER, THERE IS A 5MM-THICK RUBBER SHIM/WASHER THAT IS PLACED BETWEEN THE BOX AND FRAME AT THIS POINT. THIS BEGS THE FOLLOWING QUESTION: HOW CAN THE AREA BE WELDED IF THE AFOREMENTIONED METAL SURFACES ARE NOT IN PHYSICAL CONTACT? THAT NOTWITHSTANDING, THE RUBBER SHIMS HAVE BOTH STARTED TO SHIFT OUT OF POSITION.

2010 NISSAN FRONTIER RUSTING REAR BUMPER STARTED IN DECEMBER WITH 12,000 MILES ON VEHICLE 7 MONTHS OLD. *TR
THIS VEHICLE HAS A KNOWN PROBLEM AMONG NISSAN FRONTIER MESSAGE BOARDS. WHEN YOU FILL THE GAS TANK YOU MUST FILL IT SLOWLY OR THE GAS WILL "BUBBLE UP" AND SPILL OUT OF THE ENTRANCE WHERE YOU PUT THE GAS NOZZLE. IT WILL RUN DOWN THE FENDER, ONTO THE PAINT, AND ONTO THE GROUND. THE EFFECT IS VERY SIMILAR TO WHAT HAPPENS TO THIS 2007 DODGE DURANGO HTTP://WWW.YOUTUBE.COM/WATCH?V=FS5U63CN-II BUT WITH LESS FORCE WHEN EXPELLING THE FUEL. THIS IS A REPEATED ISSUE THAT HAS BEEN ONGOING SINCE I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE. NISSAN REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THIS IS DUE TO A BAD DESIGN AND WILL NOT FIX THIS. I HAVE TO SLOWLY FILL MY TANK EVERY TIME. THIS MEANS TO NOT GET IT TO SPILL I HAVE TO FILL AN 18 GALLON TANK NO FASTER THAN 15 MINUTES IN ORDER NOT TO SPILL FUEL ON THE GROUND. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 NISSAN FRONTIER CREW CAB. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED WHEN THE PASSENGER SEAT WAS OCCUPIED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE ELECTRONIC SENSOR COULD NOT BE SHUT OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,035.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 NISSAN FRONTIER EQUIPPED WITH BF GOODRICH RADIAL LONE TRAIL AT TIRES (N/A), SIZE P265/70/R16. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 25-30 MPH, THE DRIVER SIDE REAR TIRE SUDDENLY BLEW OUT. THE TIRE WAS SWITCHED OUT FOR THE SPARE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO STATED THAT THEY COULD DO NOTHING AND TO VISIT THE TIRE DEALER. THE TIRE DEALER STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT FIND THE CAUSE FOR THE BLOWOUT. THE CONTACT CALLED THE TIRE MANUFACTURER WHO STATED THAT THEY COULD ONLY ASSIST WITH 50-60% OF THE REPLACEMENT TIRE COSTS. THE TIRE HAD NOT BEEN REPLACED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 5,000. WITH THE TREND TOWARDS LAWS BANNING HAND HELD CELL PHONE OPERATION I PURCHASED A 2010 NISSAN FRONTIER PRO4X ON MARCH 4, 2010 WHICH INCLUDES A HANDS FREE FEATURE. THE HANDS FREE CAPABILITY OF MY TRUCK WOULD NOT SUPPORT SAFE DRIVING IN STATES THAT HAVE OR HAVE PENDING LEGISLATION THAT BAN HAND HELD CELL PHONE OPERATION WHILE DRIVING. SINCE DAY ONE NAME RECOGNITION FAILS TO FIND THE CORRECT PERSON. ALL PERSONS CALLED COMPLAIN ABOUT LOW, DISTANT SOUNDING VOLUME WITH HIGH LEVELS OF BACKGROUND NOISE (TUNNEL EFFECT). INITIALLY THE POOR PERFORMANCE WAS BLAMED ON MY IPHONE 3GS WHICH WAS AND IS KEEP CURRENT. DEALER MANAGEMENT AND TECHNICIANS FAILED TO CORRECT OR IMPROVE THE HANDS FREE PERFORMANCE. MY DEALER'S SERVICE ADVISOR AND TECHNICIANS (4) IN FIVE AND HALF HOURS USING THEIR OWN IOS AND ANDROID EQUIPPED PHONES FAILED TO GET PROPER HANDS FREE PERFORMANCE IN MY TRUCK, OR, IN A NEW 2011 NISSAN FRONTIER PRO4X. DURING THE TIME MY TRUCK WAS BEING TROUBLED SHOT I TEST DROVE A 2011 NISSAN QUEST. MY IPHONE 3GS PAIRED AND NAMES WERE RECOGNIZED PERFECTLY. I RECENTLY BOUGHT AND TRIED AN IPHONE 4 AND A MOTOROLA DROID X IN MY TRUCK. NAME RECOGNITION STILL DOES NOT WORK AND CALL QUALITY REMAINS UNSATISFACTORY. NISSAN FACTORY TECHNICIANS WERE CONTACTED AND NO SUCCESSFUL SOLUTION WERE PROVIDED NOR WAS THERE ANY INDICATION THAT FOLLOW UP ACTIONS INITIATED. *TR
INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) I WAS DRIVING MY 2010 NISSAN FRONTIER TRUCK. COMING TOWARDS A STOP SIGN, I HAD ALREADY STARTED TO SLOW DOWN. ABOUT 200 FEET,BEFORE THE STOP SIGN, WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKES, THE BRAKES DID NOT WORK,THE PEDAL STAYED DOWN WITH NO EFFECT. I TRIED TO JAM AS HARD AS POSSIBLE -- NO EFFECT, LUCKILY, MY SPEED WAS SLOW ENOUGH, IT DID NOT CARRY ME INTO THE TRAFFIC LANE. NEXT MINUTE, THE BRAKES WORKED FINE, I TESTED SEVERAL TIMES - NO PROBLEM SINCE THEN. HOWEVER, NOW THAT I THINK BACK, IT DID HAPPEN AT LEAST COUPLE OF TIMES, SO FAST I THOUGHT IT WAS MY IMAGINATION.
