The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V683000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 106,000.

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the sensor needed to be tightened and the fuel pressure sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who informed him that the fuel pressure sensor needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.
MY VEHICLE WAS NOT LISTED UNDER NISSAN RECALL ID 277139 & ID227697 AND SHOULD BE DUE TO I HAVE OBD CODE OF P0087 & P0090 WHICH IS A FIRE HAZARD FUEL LEAK LOW PRESSURE RAIL RACK AND I AM NOT THE ONLY OWNER OF JUKES THAT ARE HAVE THE SAME ISSUE WITH VIN NOT COVERED WHEN THEY SHOULD BE. THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR ON MY JUKE HAS GONE BAD AND I AM BEING TOLD THAT MY CAR IS NOT PART OF ANY RECALL. SOOOO MANY OTHER JUKES HAVE BEEN ON THE RECALL AND THEY WON'T FIX MY PROBLEM. THEY WON'T IS DIAGNOS THE PROBLEM UNLESS I PAY THEM $140 TO SCAN MY JUKE. MY GAS MILEAGE SUCKS AND I SMELL GAS IN THE CAB OCASSIONALLY. I CONTACTED NISSAN DIRECTLY AND GOT A EMAIL BACK TELLING ME MY CAR IS NOT IN THE RECALL AND I WOULD NEED TO TAKE IT TO NISSAN TO DIAGNOSE WHAT I ALREADY KNOW IS THE PROBLEM. I'M REALLY SURPRISED NISSAN ISN'T MORE CONCERNED WITH THIS. I REMEMBER FIRESTORM AND FORD AND A LOT OF LAWSUITS AND DEATHS.
VEHICLE HAS BEEN IDLING A LITTLE WEIRD FOR A FEW WEEKS AND YESTERDAY MY JUKE HESITATED A LITTLE BEFORE STARTING. AFTER THIS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON AND I GOT 2 CODES BECAUSE OF IT P0090 AND P0087. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND DISCOVERED THAT THESE CODES COME UP FROM A FAULTY FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR WHICH HAS BEEN RECALLED A FEW DIFFERENT TIMES. WHEN I INQUIRED FROM THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP THEY TOLD ME MY CAR HAD NO RECALLS AND I WOULD NEED TO PAY ALMOST $140 FROM THEM JUST TO TELL ME WHAT MIGHT NEED TO BE FIXED. I CAN SMELL GAS WHILE THE CAR IS IDLING IN MY GARAGE AND MY CAR HAS TROUBLES SHIFTING AND STARTING. JUKE IS A 2012 WITH ABOUT 56K MILES ON IT.
SMALL DROPS OF FUEL UNDER THE VEHICLE WERE SPOTTED AND WHEN THE AC/HEAT IS TURNED ON THERE IS A STRONG SMELL OF FUEL THAT ENTERS THE CABIN. THIS HAPPENS AT INITIAL START UP AFTER SITTING FOR SEVERAL HOURS. THE ODOR HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR ABOUT A YEAR, WHEN I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN TO THE DEALER THEY SAID MY VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RECALL CAMPAIGN AND TOLD ME SOME TURBO MODELS DO THAT. THE DROPS OF FUEL WAS RECENTLY.
I HAD A GAS/EXHAUST SMELL COMING INTO MY CABIN OF VEHICLE AND FROM MY THE OUTSIDE OF MY VEHICLE. I TOOK TO MY MECHANIC, WHERE HE CONFIRMED THAT THERE WAS A GAS LEAK AND THAT NISSAN HAD RECALLS ON MY TYPE OF VEHICLE FOR THIS REASON. TOLD ME TO TAKE TO NISSAN DEALER FOR RECALL REPAIRS. THERE WERE TWO RECALL ID#: R1201 AND R1418. THE DEALERSHIP SAID MY VIN# DIDN'T HAVE A RECALL, DESPITE THE CONFIRMATION FROM MY MECHANIC THAT THERE WAS A LEAK. I CALLED NATIONAL CONSUMER AFFAIRS DEPT NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, TALKED WITH AKASH #7319300, CASE # 29075850, WHERE I WAS TOLD NOTHING IS WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE AND THAT I SHOULD HAVE IT FIXED AT MY COST. IT DIDN'T HAVE A RECALL, EVEN AFTER EXPLAINING EVERYTHING. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND THERE ARE RECALLS FOR THIS, BUT THEY WILL NOT LOOK OR FIX MY VEHICLE UNDER THE RECALL. IF MY TYPE OF VEHICLE HAS NOT 1 BUT 2 RECALLS ON IT FOR THIS ISSUE, HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT MY VEHICLE IS NOT ONE OF THEM? THE RECALL STATES ON THE ATTACHED DOCUMENTS, "IF YOU NOTICE A FUEL SMELL IN THE CABIN OF YOUR VEHICLE, PLEASE BRING YOUR VEHICLE INTO A NISSAN DEALER FOR REPAIRS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE." I DID THIS AND THEY WOULDN'T FIX IT.

NISSAN WILL NOT COVER THEY SAY THEY ALREADY REPAIRED PART ALONE IS$ 800.00 AND WONT EVEN LOOK AT IT WITH OUT CHARGING ME HAD IT INDEPENDENTLY VERIFIED BYE A QUALIFIED MECHANIC.

TOUCHED WITH WRENCH AN SPEWED FUEL. THEN TURNED OFF BY HAND. MATCHES THE SYMPTOMS OF THE RECALL EXACTLY.
MY 2012 NISSAN JUKE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE ABOVE 75 MPH, DESPITE THE GAS PEDAL BEING COMPLETELY PRESSED DOWN ("PEDAL TO THE METAL"). A DISTINCT SMELL OF GASOLINE WAS NOTICED IN THE CABIN. I TOOK MY JUKE TO A MECHANIC, WHO SAID THE PROBLEM WAS FUEL LEAKING THROUGH THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR. THOUGH THERE IS CURRENTLY A RECALL CAMPAIGN FOR SOME 2012-2014 NISSAN JUKES (REFERENCE NHTSA 14V683000), MY SPECIFIC VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. I REQUEST THAT THIS RECALL BE INVESTIGATED AND EXPANDED. A FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR IS NOT SOMETHING THAT WOULD BE WITHIN THE EXPECTED REGULAR MAINTENANCE OF ANY VEHICLE, AND IS VERY LIKELY A DEFECT STEMMING FROM MANUFACTURING. COMMUNICATION ATTEMPTS WITH NISSAN NORTH AMERICA HAVE BEEN RATHER DISAPPOINTING. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH MANY OF THE NISSAN JUKE VEHICLES, BUT NISSAN NORTH AMERICA IS NOT WILLING TO PROVIDE ANY REPAIRS FOR MY VEHICLE.

WHEN TURNING ON THE AIR CONDITIONING IN THE CAR AFTER ENGINE STARTUP A VERY STRONG SMELL OF GAS ENTERS THE VEHICLE CABIN. THE FUMES ARE VERY STRONG AND UNMISTAKABLE. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY TIME BUT HAPPENS OFTEN ENOUGH TO BE A CONCERN. THIS STARTED I WOULD SAY WITHIN THE PAST 4-6 MONTHS, NOT SURE EXACTLY WHEN. DID NOT TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR CONCERN, WAS WAITING FOR AN OIL CHANGE INTERVAL TO COME UP. I TOLD THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT THE ISSUE WHEN I TOOK THE VEHICLE FOR A TIMING CHAIN REPLACEMENT TSB. THE DEALERSHIP (WESTON NISSAN IN DAVIE, FLORIDA) HAS SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM.
