WHILE EXITING THE FREEWAY/SLOWING TO STOP AT A LIGHT, MY FRONT COLLISION LIGHT CAME ON AND NO ONE WAS AHEAD OF ME. WHILE STILL IN MOTION MY VEHICLES ENGINE SHUT OFF AND I HAD TO PULL THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO REGAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BREAK AT THE LIGHT AND SHIFTED THE CAR FROM DRIVE TO PARK. KEEPING MY FOOT ON THE BREAK STARTED THE ENGINE WITH THE PUSH BUTTON WHICH HAD TROUBLE TURNING OVER AND THE DASH LIT UP THE FOLLOWING LIGHTS: MASTER INDICATOR, SLIP WARNING AND AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BREAKING SYSTEM WARNING. ON THE DIGITAL DISPLAY IT READ SOMETHING TO DO WITH EMISSIONS BUT WENT AWAY BEFORE I COULD TAKE THE PHOTO. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN I GAVE GAS TO THE VEHICLE AND IT STRUGGLED TO GAIN SPEED OVER 5 MPH FOR OVER 1000 FEET THEN WENT BACK TO NORMAL SPEEDS AND THE OTHER LIGHTS WENT OFF AND ONLY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED ON. THE NEXT DAY AS I WAS PULLING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY TO TAKE MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, MY VEHICLE SHUT OFF AGAIN BUT NO DISPLAY THIS TIME, JUST COMPLETELY SHUT OFF.I'VE ALSO HAD ISSUES WITH THE CENTER DISPLAY AND CONTROLS SINCE I PURCHASED A VEHICLE JUST OVER A YEAR AGO. THE RADIO TURNS ON AND OFF ON ITS OWN TURN THE VOLUME UP AND DOWN ON ITS OWN WHICH I CAN SOMETIMES CONTROL FROM THE STEERING WHEEL BUT NEVER FROM THE CENTER. EVEN WHEN USING STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS THE RADIO WILL DO ITS OWN THING. SO I COULD BE DRIVING WITH THE RADIO OFF AND IT WILL BE ON FULL BLAST I TURN IT DOWN WITH THE STEERING WHEEL AND IT WILL GO BACK TO FULL BLAST. THE VERY NEXT DAY AFTER THE FIRST INCIDENT LISTED I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP. AS I LEFT THE RADIO PROVED TO BE NOT FIXED. I IMMEDIATELY WENT TO TO FIX IT & WAS TOLD A WEEK FOR THE PART TO COME. I CONTACTED CORPORATE AFTER INVESTIGATION, THEY WOULD NOT BUY BACK MY CAR WHICH IS JUST OVER A YEAR OLD WITH 15,500 MILES. NO RECEIPT GIVEN AFTER REPLACING CENTER CONSOL.
MY NISSAN KICKS 2019 HAVE A FEW PROBLEMS. FIRST IT TURN ON THE SENSOR OF CHECK ENGINE. ALSO THE TRACTION CONTROL SENSOR IS ON. BUT THE WORST OF ALL IS THAT THE THE FRONT PROXIMITY SENSOR IS GIVING UP FALSE ALARMS AND IS STOPPING THE CAR WHILE DRIVING. THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY BECAUSE THE CAR DOES IT ON UNEXPECTED PLACES. IS THIS HAPPENING ONLY TO MY CAR? I AM GOING TO TAKE MY CAR FOR SERVICE BUT IT MAKE ME FEEL AFRAID THAT IT COULD HAPPEN AGAIN.
The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Kicks. The contact stated while driving various speeds, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled without warning. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle eventually operated as designed. The contact indicated that the failure had occurred on eight different occasion and each time the vehicle was either driven or towed to the local dealer. Each time the service center was unable to determine the cause of the failure. A Master Technician was sent to the residence to service the vehicle however, the failure continued. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 10,000.
REAR VIEW CAMERA ADJUSTMENT COULD AFFECT IMAGE VISIBILITY. A LETTER WAS RECEIVED, INDICATING THAT THE ISSUE. NO CHANGES ON REAR VIEW SETTINGS WERE PERFORMED BY OWNER.
The transmission in this car is a CVT and it pulls very bad and there is times that it smells like rubber is burning under the car people safety is put at risk because it could start a fire under there . And you could be driving in the freeway at a speed of 55 and suddenly the speed slows down to like 25 that it can make you almost get in to accident that's another way that your safety is at risk , there is a lot malfunctions with this transmission and they are aware of it , this should be a recall were they should be replacing these transmissions on these cars
THE CAR MAKES A LOUD GRINDING NOISE THAT SHAKES THE WHOLE CAR. IT DOES NOT DO IT ALL THE TIME AND CAN NOT MAKE IT HAPPEN.
MY MOTHER HAD AN ACCIDENT THAT TOTALED THE AUTOMOBILE. THE VEHICLE WAS ONLY A FEW MONTHS OLD WITH LESS THAN 2500 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. THE ACCIDENT WAS A FRONT END COLLISION AND THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. THE PASSENGER'S SIDE DID DEPLOY. NISSAN USA IS NOT RESPONDING. A REPORT HAS BEEN FILED. THE FRONT DRIVER'S AIR BAG SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. I AM BEEN DESIGNATED BY MY MOTHER TO ADDRESS THIS AS SHE SUFFERED SEVER INJURIES DUE TO THE FAULTY AI BAG AND MY FARTHER HAS DEMENTIA AND CANNOT PROPERLY REPLAY THE CIRCUMSTANCES. THIS WAS A SINGLE CAR ACCIDENT RESULTING IN LOSS OF CONTROL WHICH RESULTED IN STRIKING A TELEPHONE POLE RH FRONT JUST OFF CENTER.*DT*DT*JB*JB*DT*JB
ENTERING HIGHWAY OR TRAFFIC CAR STALLS NO POWER . SEEMS LIKE THE ENGINE ISNT PROVIDING ENOUGH GAS FOR TAKE OFF, THIS IS WITH THE PEDAL ACCELERATOR COMPLETELY PRESSED DOWN. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES.
THERE IS A GRINDING SOUND THAT SEEMS TO COME FROM THE PASSENGER'S FRONT QUARTER OF MY KICKS. I CANNOT REPLICATE IT. I HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES AND SEEMS TO DECELERATE THE CAR. IT NORMALLY HAPPENS WHEN I AM PULLING OUT OF MY APARTMENT COMPLEX. I CANNOT RECREATE THE ISSUE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO A DEALER A FEW WEEKS AGO FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND ASKED THEM TO CHECK IT OUT. THEY SAID NOTHING SEEMED WRONG AND OF COURSE THEY COULD NOT RECREATE THE SOUND EITHER. I DON'T KNOW IF IT IS COINCIDENCE OR NOT, BUT MY FUEL EFFICIENCY HAS SEEMED TO DECREASE AS WELL. IT USE TO BE AROUND THE 27.7 AREA AND NOW IT HOVERS IN THE 25.7 RANGE. BOTH OF WHICH ARE BELOW THE ESTIMATES WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR.
CAR STALLS WHEN PULLING INTO CITY TRAFFIC FROM AN INTERSECTION. APPEARS AS IF ENGINE WON'T TAKE FUEL WHEN I HAVE ACCELERATOR DEPRESSED. HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES AND DEALER SAYS NOTHING SHOWS UP ON CARS COMPUTER AS A PROBLEM. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 NISSAN KICKS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ON SEVERAL OCCASION THE AUTOMATIC ELECTRONIC BRAKES FAILED TO OPERATE AS INTENDED. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THE SOFTWARE WAS INEFFECTIVE TO HAVE THE VEHICLE OPERATE AS INTENDED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO (BERMAN NISSAN OF CHICAGO LOCATED AT 3456 N KEDZIE AVE, CHICAGO, IL 60618, (312) 778-6228), TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE OPERATED AS INTENDED AND THAT ALL THE SENSORS AND SOFTWARE WERE CALIBRATED AS INTENDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,700.
WHILE DRIVING ON INCLINE, CAR WILL POP MALFUNCTION CODE FOR EMERGENCY BRAKING. OWNERS MANUAL SAYS TO TAKE TO DEALERSHIP. CODE IS FOR LASER MISALIGNMENT THAT CONTROLS EMERGENCY BREAKING. HAS HAPPENED TWICE, DEALERSHIP JUST CALIBRATES LASER. HAPPENED AGAIN YESTERDAY AS WELL.
FUEL: I FILLED THE TANK AND THE READING WAS MUCH LOWER, AS IF I HAD LESS GAS IN THE TANK. I FILLED THE TANK, AND DRIVING 1 MILE, THE READING SAID I DROVE 3 MILES, SO I WAS LOSING 3 MILES OF GAS PER 1 MILE DRIVE. I TOOK IT INTO NISSAN AND THEY SAID THE TANK WAS READING ACCURATELY. AFTER THEY TOOK A LOOK, I NOTICE I WASN'T LOSING GAS AS BEFORE, I THINK THEY DID A RESET AND NOW LOOKS TO BE WORKING. THIS TOOK PLACE ON 01/20-23/2020 OTHER: I BOUGHT THE CAR IN FOR A GRINDING NOISE, CAME OUT TO BE WHEEL BEARING REPLACEMENT ON MY BRAND NEW CAR. VERY DISAPPOINTING. REPLACEMENT ON 01/09/2020
FRONT IMPACT WARNING LIGHT COMES ON AND AFFECTS THE CRUISE CONTROL AND TRIES TO STOP WITHOUT ANYTHING IN FRONT OF CAR. THIS CAR ONLY HAS 4200 MILES AND HAS BEEN IN SHOP 5 FIVES FOR THE SAME THING AND ALL NISSAN DEALERSHIP DOES IS CLEAR CODE, ADJUST SENSORS AND/OR CALIBRATE SENSORS BUT NEVER CHANGES OUT SENSORS. THERE IS ALREADY SEVERAL CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS WITH NISSAN ON FRONT SENSOR AND THIS MALFUNCTION. THIS IS CLEARLY A HAZARD DRIVING THE CAR AND IS A SAFETY ISSUE TO DRIVE SINCE THIS CAR CAN TRY TO STOP WHEN NOTHING IS IN FRONT OF CAR.
TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN IFFY. RANDOMLY SLIPPING RPMS. DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY EVERYTHING SHUT OFF AND IT STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD MULTIPLE CARS NARROWLY MISSING ME. I COULD HAVE DIED BECAUSE OF A BROKEN TRANSMISSION! ONLY FOUR MONTHS OLD BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW ONLY 5K MILES ON IT. THIS IS NOT OKAY! THIS COULD HAVE KILLED ME AND PEOPLE AROUND ME! UNACCEPTABLE!
OWNER PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW. AT APPROXIMATELY 100 MILES, THE VEHICLE MADE A GEAR GRINDING NOISE FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LARRY H MILLER NISSAN IN MESA AZ, DEALERSHIP CLAIMED THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. VEHICLE CONTINUED TO MAKE GRINDING NOISES FROM WHAT APPEARS TO BE THE TRANSMISSION. ALTHOUGH THE OWNER OF THE VEHICLE AND PASSENGERS HEAR THE GRINDING NOISE ALMOST ON A EVER-OTHER DAY BASIS, SAME DEALERSHIP CLAIMS THEY CANNOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. OWNER WILL NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE, WHICH NOW HAS ONLY 2,100 MILES ON IT. *TR
DRIVING LIKE NORMAL AND THE CAR AHEAD OF ME SLAMMED ON THEIR BRAKES TO AVOID A WRECK I SLAMMED ON MINE TO PREVENT THIS AFTERWARD TRAFFIC STARTED MOVING ON AND THE COLLISION AND IMPACT SENSOR CAME ON BUT I DIDN'T HIT ANYTHING. I HAVE LOOKED AT THE MANUAL AND IT WILL NOT TELL THE OWNER ME HOW TO GET THE CRASH LIGHT TO GO OFF. EVEN ONLINE YOU CAN FIND NOTHING ABOUT HOW TO RESET OR TURN OFF THE ALERT. THE OTHER ALERT IS FOR THE ASSISTED BRAKING FEATURE IT DIDN'T WORK BUT THE LIGHT CAME ON BUT WILL NOT GO OFF AND THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO RESET IT OR TAKE IT OFF. NOT EVEN THE FACTORY RESET OR UNPLUGGING THE BATTERY WILL MAKE IT GO OFF. I BOUGHT AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AND THE DEALER I PURCHASED THE KICKS FROM SAID THEY WOULD FIX THE ERROR BUT THEY WILL CHARGE ME TO DO SO WHICH I THINK IS WRONG SINCE IT IS NOT WRECKED BUT JUST MALFUNCTIONING. IF I KNEW TO GET SOMETHING ON THE KICKS WAS GOING TO BE LIKE PULLING TEETH II WOULD HAVE STUCK WITH THE ALTIMA AS I DID WITH MY LAST PREVIOUS PURCHASES WITH NISSAN. NOT HAPPY AND IT'S JUST LIKE WITH THE TOUCH SCREEN IT FREEZES UP AND THE USB TO IT WILL QUIT WORKING TO THE POINT YOU HAVE TO TURN OFF THE ENGINE JUST SO IT WILL WORK AGAIN EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE AND I WAS THINKING MY CORDS WEREN'T OPERATING RIGHT OR WORN OUT.
When car is turned on, and is on idle within 3 minutes it shuts off. When driving around town and stopped at light or slowly driving car will turn off. Engine will shake at times and refuse to go into drive and move as if it were put into neutral. Break lights are beginning to turn while in drive. Especially when turning car on, I have to bring the break clutch up and back down to turn off. however, the light will turn on again and beep while in drive. All the radio does is constantly shut down all the time and reset itself, or completely freeze. Collision light also turns on when stopped in light, or driving. I have to continuously turn the car off and wait until the car is safe to drive. Problems began when I first bought the car in 2019, and has continues until today. Many customers do complain about the same problems they have about the car.
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE A NISSAN KICKS 2019 AT NAPLES NISSAN IN MAY 2019 AT 5 MILES AND IT STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS IN SEPTEMBER 2019. SWAYING AND SHIMMY FEELINGS, FLOATING ON THE HIGHWAY ESPECIALLY OVER BUMPS AND LANE CHANGES IN THE RAIN ITS WORSE. I TOOK IT TO NAPLES NISSAN TOLD THEM THE PROBLEM THEY SAID THE ROAD WAS UNLEVEL AFTER REQUESTING THE MANAGER THEY PUT IT ON MACHINE AND CLAIM IT NEEDED A WHEEL ALIGNMENT.I GOT THE WHEEL ALIGNMENT SAME SITUATION. HONESTLY I DIDN'T THINK IT WAS A WHEEL ALIGNMENT ISSUE BECAUSE THE STEERING WHEEL WAS NOT OFF BUT WHAT DO I KNOW. ALL I KNEW WAS IT FELT THE SAME WAY SCARY ,UNSAFE AND DANGEROUS.I CONTACTED NISSAN CORPORATE OFFICE AND WAS TOLD TO TAKE TO ANOTHER DEALER WHICH I DID. AFTER TAKING IT TO SURTHERLIN NISSAN THEY CHECK THE VEHICLE AND CLAIM THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG SAID IT WAS THE WIND.THEY HAD MY VEHICLE ALL DAY AND ONLY DROVE THE CAR FOR 6 MILES AND STATED 2 PEOPLE DROVE VEHICLE AND FOUND NO PROBLEMS AND THAT SINCE I HAD A TRUCK WHICH WAS A NISSAN ARMANDA THERES A DIFFERENCE. I DRIVE THIS CAR ONE AND HALF HOURS EVERY DAY, I HAVE NUMEROUS AMOUNT OF CARS NEVER FELT THIS BEFORE. I ALMOST GOT INTO ACCIDENT DUE TO CAR GOING IN ITS ON DIRECTION. I HAD TO TAKE DAYS OFF OF WORK. I AM SCARE TO DRIVE OR ALLOW MY DAUGHTER TO DRIVE THIS CAR IT'S A SERIOUS PROBLEM IT'S SCARY,UNSAFE AND DANGEROUS FOR MY LIFE AND OTHERS I NEED SOMEONE HELP. THANK YOU
The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Kicks. The contact stated after driving approximately 5 MPH going uphill to a driveway, she then put the gear into reverse and then into the drive to move forward slowly; however, the vehicle inadvertently accelerated. The contact then attempted to depress the brake pedal; however, the vehicle crashed into the house. The contact stated the rear camera was not operable, in addition to the brakes. The contact stated there was a backup camera recall prior to the accident. There was a front seat passenger in the vehicle as well. The vehicle hit a concrete beam on the house. The garage and house were damaged. The contact was unaware of any warning lights illuminated. There were no air bags deployed. The contact sustained injuries to her knees, elbows, and head. The passenger had minor injuries, but no bleeding. Medical attention was required. No police or fire was not on the scene, and there were no reports filed. The front passenger end of the vehicle was damaged. The vehicle was towed to the local body shop. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 1,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 NISSAN KICKS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE FUEL TANK WAS FULL, THE FUEL GAGE FAILED TO PROVIDE AN ACCURATE READING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ED MARTIN NISSAN OF ANDERSON (2115 E 53RD ST, ANDERSON, IN 46013, (765) 442-1100), BUT WAS DIAGNOSED BUT NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 5,000. *BF*JB
THE HEADRESTS FOR THIS CAR ARE OUTRAGEOUSLY PAINFUL. THEY ARE ANGLED TOO FAR FORWARD. I CANNOT DRIVE MY NEW CAR WITHOUT SEVERE LOWER NECK/UPPER BACK PAIN. MY BACK CANNOT TOUCH THE SEAT WITH THE CURRENT HEADREST THAT CAME WITH THE NISSAN KICKS. I KNOW THE NHTSA MANDATED IT BUT YOU NEED TO RECONSIDER. I CANNOT SIT IN MY CAR FOR MORE THAN 15 MINUTES. ( I JUST BOUGHT IT FOR 18K, I NEED TO BE ABLE TO USE MY CAR)
Transmission Issue - The CVT transmission slips during acceleration and causes the car to lose power. It hesitates, revs high, and sometimes jerks when slowing or speeding up. This creates unsafe driving conditions. Electrical Issue -The electronics intermittently shut off, screen goes black, and warning lights appear. These issues occur while driving and affect vehicle control. It’s a safety hazard -These failures happen unexpectedly in traffic and increase the risk of an accident. Often the Problems happens occurs several times per week and happens at speeds between 20–45 mph. Started around 60,000 miles. The CVT transmission slips during acceleration and causes the car to lose power. The RPMs surge, the vehicle hesitates, and there is a jerking or shuddering sensation when speeding up or slowing down. This happens unexpectedly and makes it hard to maintain speed in traffic. The electrical system also malfunctions while driving. The dashboard display and infotainment screen intermittently go black, warning lights appear without reason, and some features shut off. These failures happen at random and affect my ability to safely operate the vehicle. Both issues occur multiple times per week at various speeds (20–45 mph), and the vehicle only has 25,531 miles. These defects pose a significant safety risk because they cause unexpected changes in acceleration and visibility of gauges, increasing the chance of an accident.
