TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN MURANO. WHILE DRIVING AT 25 MPH, THE SUN VISOR FELL AND BLOCKED THE DRIVERS VIEW. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SUN VISOR WOULD NOT STAY IN PLACE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000.
NORMAL VEHICLE USE, ABOUT 45K MILES.THE DRIVERS SIDE SUN VISOR FAILS TO REMAIN IN THE UP POSITION. THIS LEADS TO CRITICAL DRIVER BLINDING AT UNEXPECTED TIMES, USUALLY DURING STOPS OR TURNS WHEN SIGHT IS CRITICAL. NISSAN WOULD NOT REPAIR UNDER $400 AND NO AFTER MARKET PARTS HAVE BEEN FOUND. A SEARCH SHOWS THIS TO BE A KNOWN COMMON ISSUE AFFECTING DRIVER SAFETY. *TR
2005 NISSAN MURANO. SEAT BRACKET THAT ANCHORS DRIVERS' SEAT TO CAR HAS BROKEN -ALLOWING SEAT TO ROCK AND MOVE FREELY WHILE DRIVING. THIS IS A SERIOUS DEFECT IN THE VEHICLE AND APPARENTLY VERY COMMON FROM THE INFORMATION THAT I HAVE FOUND. THE FACT THAT THE DRIVER'S (OR ANY SEAT FOR THAT MATTER) WOULD NOT REMAIN ATTACHED TO THE VEHICLE THROUGH EVERY DAY USE IS A HUGE CAUSE FOR CONCERN. NOT ONLY A HAZARD TO DRIVER (ESPECIALLY IN EVENT OF ACCIDENT)- BUT ALSO TO PASSENGERS IN THE VEHICLE. THIS CAR IS NOT ABLE TO PASS INSPECTION AND IS TOTALLY UNSAFE TO DRIVE IN ITS CURRENT CONDITION. SOMEONE IS GOING TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT,BE KILLED OR SERIOUSLY INJURED IF THIS KNOWN DEFECT IS NOT RESOLVED. NISSAN APPARENTLY IS NOT GOING TO DO MUCH ABOUT THE SITUATION ON THEIR OWN AND THUS WE MUST RELY ON NHTSA TO MAKE THEM CORRECT THE PROBLEM. USING CHEAP BRACKETS/PLASTIC PARTS TO ANCHOR SEATS TO VEHICLE MAY SURVIVE IN A CRASH LAB- BUT I AM PUTTING MY CHILDREN IN THIS VEHICLE- NO ONE AT NHTSA WILL I BET- KNOWING THIS PROBLEM. NISSAN MURANO 2005 : DRIVERS POWER SEAT. THE DRIVE GEAR (MADE OF PLASTIC) IS STRIPPED BY THE WORM GEAR (METAL). I HAVE SPOKEN WITH MY DEALER AND NISSAN NORTH AMERICA. THEY WILL NOT ASSIST ME WITH THE $1000.00 REPAIR. IF NISSAN WOULD SUPPLY JUST THE DRIVE GEAR THIS REPAIR COULD BE MADE EASILY. THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PART. YOU MUST BUY THE ENTIRE SEAT TRACK. *TR
MY 2005 NISSAN MURANO'S DRIVER SIDE VISOR WILL NOT STAY IN THE UP POSITION. THIS CAUSES PROBLEMS WITH VISIBILITY WHILE DRIVING AND IS A SAFETY HAZARD. THE COST TO REPLACE IS VERY HIGH FOR SUCH A SMALL PART. *TR
MY 2005 NISSAN MURANO HAS AN ENGINE THAT "PINGS" EVEN WHEN USING 91 OCTANE FUEL. THIS CAN LEAD TO ENGINE WEAR AND DAMAGE. NISSAN IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, BUT AT THIS TIME, THEY ARE CHOOSING NOT TO CORRECT IT IN ANY OF THE MURANO VEHICLES THAT HAVE THIS PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM IS A CONSTANT "PING" UPON ACCELERATION, MOST NOTICEABLE BETWEEN 10 AND 30 MILES PER HOUR, OR AT HIGHER SPEEDS WHEN ATTEMPTING TO QUICKLY INCREASE SPEED. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 NISSAN MURANO AND THE DOOR LOCKS DO NOT PROPERLY LOCK AND UNLOCK ON THE CAR UTILIZING THE CARS KEY FAB. IT DOES NOT LOCK AND UNLOCK THEREFORE IT IS DIFFICULT TO GET IN AND OUT OF THE CAR. *TR
THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT IS LOOSE ON ITS FRAME. I BROUGHT IT IN THE DEALER AND THE FIX IS OVER $650. I HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY, BUT THEY INDICATE THAT THIS IS NOT COVERED. HOWEVER, WE ARE WORKING ON THAT. THE REAL SAFETY ISSUE IS IF THE SEAT BREAKS WHILE DRIVING, THERE IS A VERY HIGH LIKELIHOOD OF A CRASH. I WILL GET THE SEAT FIXED THIS WEEK. HOWEVER, IN REVIEWING INFORMATION FROM OTHER COMPLAINTS, I HAVE SEEN MANY, MANY OTHERS REPORTING THIS PROBLEM. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN MURANO. WHENEVER THE CONTACT SITS ON THE FRONT DRIVER'S SEAT, THE LEFT CORNER OF THE SEAT FALLS DOWN. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, THE SEAT SHAKES AND CAUSES UNSTABLE VISIBILITY. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO TWO DEALERS AND BOTH STATED THAT THE WELDING IN THE SEAT NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THROUGH ONLINE RESEARCH, HE FOUND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ON THIS VERY SAME FAILURE FOR THIS VEHICLE. HE STATED THAT IT APPEARED TO BE A MANUFACTURER DEFECT THAT SHOULD BE RECALLED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 71,294.
SUN VISOR DROPS UNEXPECTEDLY ON THE DRIVER SIDE BLOCKING VISIBILITY, AND ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT WITH ME AND MY WIFE AND 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER, AND I HAD TO DO A FULL REPLACE AT MY OWN COST. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 MURANO; MY PROBLEM IS: MY DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR LOCK ONLY WORKS INTERMITTENTLY, AND I CAN'T ALWAYS TELL WHETHER THE DOOR IS LOCKED OR NOT. THE SPRING FAILS IN THE SUN VISOR OF THE 2005 NISSAN MURANO, CAUSING IT TO FALL SUDDENLY DOWNWARD, SUDDENLY OBSCURING THE DRIVER'S VIEW. NISSAN REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM, AND THIS SHOULD DEFINITELY BE A RECALL. NISSAN FORUMS INDICATE THAT THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR SOME TIME. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 NISSAN MURANO, PURCHASED IN 2005. RECENTLY I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER DOOR AND HATCHBACK NOT LOCKING OR UNLOCKING BY USE OF THE FOB. THE RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER DOOR DOES NOT HAVE A KEY LOCK AND APPARENTLY WHEN THIS DOOR LOCK MOTOR IS NOT LOCKING OR UNLOCKING, NEITHER IS THE REAR HATCH. I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND NHTSA SHOULD FOURCE NISSAN TO RECALL ALL THEIR VEHICLES WITH THIS PROBLEM FOR REPLACEMENT W/O COST TO THE CONSUMER. HAVING A SECURE ENVIRONMENT IS PARAMOUNT IN CERTAIN NEIGHBORHOODS. WHEN LOCKING THE DOORS IT IS IMPERATIVE NO ONE SHOULD HAVE ACCESS TO THE VEHICLE. IF ANYONE CAN SIMPLY OPEN THE DOOR TO BAIN ACCESS, CARJACKING, INJURY OR EVEN AN ASSAULT IF MUCH EASIER FOR THE PERPERTRATORS. IF THE DOORS LOCKED PROPERLY THIS PROVIDES A MORE SECURE ENVIRONMENT AND ELIMINATES SOME OF THESE TERRIFYING SCENARIOS. NISSAN, KNOWING THERE IS A SECURITY AND POSSIBLY SAFETY PROBLEM WITH THEIR LOCKING MECHANISM AND NOT RECALLING THESE VEHICLES FOR CONSUMER PROTECTION AND SAFETY, IS NEGLIGENT. THEIR ACTION WILL OPEN THE DOOR TO A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT SHOULD SOMEONE BE MURDERED, ROBBED, RAPED OR ASSAULTED DUE TO A DOOR THAT DIDN'T LOCK, ALTHOUGH THE DRIVER PUSHED THE LOCK BUTTON AND HEARD THE APPARENT LOCKING SOUND. REMEMBER, IN THIS CASE THERE ARE NO OBVIOUS INDICATIONS THE DOOR ISN'T LOCKED, WHEN IT REALITY IS AN "OPEN DOOR" WITH THE OCCUPANTS EASY TARGETS. THIS FAILURE IS AN INTERMITTENT OF OPERATION. SOMETIMES THE DOORS LOCK AND OTHER TIMES THEY DON'T. IN EMERGENCIES IT IS IMPORTANT TO BE ABLE TO UNLOCK DOORS IMMEDIATELY. DURING A CRISIS SITUATION THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS USE THE DOOR ROCKER BUTTON TO UNLOCK THE DOORS, THE LOCKING/UNLOCKING SOLENOID OR ACTUATOR MALFUNCTIONING IS CLEARLY A HIGH RISK IN EMERGENCIES. NISSAN'S USUAL QUOTE OF $1600.00 TO REPAIR AND REPLACE ALL THE DOOR LOCK AND ACTUATORS IS RIDICULOUS, AND SHOULD BE A RECALL ITEM. *TR
1. THERE WERE NO EVENTS THAT LEAD UPTO THE FAILURE OF THE LOCKING MECHANISM. 2. THE FAILURE STARTED AUTOMATICALLY. THERE IS A PROBLEM IN THE LOCKING ACTUATOR. THE LOCK SWITCH DOES NOT LOCK THE DOOR EVEN THOUGH THE SWITCH IS PRESSED AND THE LOCKING SOUND IS HEARD. THIS MAKES PERSONAL SAFETY A BIG CONCERN. IF THE DOOR IS UNLOCKED WHEN THE LOCKING SWITCH IS PRESSED, IT CAN STILL BE OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE. IN ENVIRONMENTS WHEN PERSONAL SAFETY IS OF STRONG CONCERN, THERE SHOULD BE SOME SENSE OF FEELING SECURED WITHIN THE CAR WHEN THE DOOR IS "LOCKED." SOMEONE COULD BE HURT, ROBBED, CARJACKED, OR EVEN MURDERED BECAUSE OF A SIMPLE LOCKING MECHANISM FAILURE. THIS FAILURE IS ALL AROUND WITH MANY CARS HAVING ALL 4 DOOR LOCKS FAIL AT ONCE ACROSS ALL NISSAN CAR/SUV/TRUCK MODELS. THE REPLACEMENT COST FOR 4 ACTUATORS FROM THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP IS $1600. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AND A RECALL SHOULD BE MADE FOR ALL NISSAN MURANOS. *TR

MY HUSBAND PURCHASED A NEW NISSAN MURANO IN 2005. IN 2006 WE GAVE THE CAR TO OUR 16 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER. THE VEHICLE HAS 23,000 (!) ON IT. LAST WEEK SHE INFORMED ME THAT HER SEAT "MOVES" WHEN SHE TURNS THE VEHICLE. WE TOOK THE CAR TO CROWN NISSAN AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE "LIFTER LINK" WAS BROKEN AND WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED AT THE COST OF $600 PARTS AND $250 LABOR. I AM QUESTIONING WHY A NISSAN PRODUCT AND AT 4 YEARS OF AGE WOULD HAVE A BROKEN SEAT??? AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ON THE INTERNET THIS APPEARS TO BE A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH PREVIOUS COMPLAINTS FILED WITH YOUR OFFICE. WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED? I HAVE HAD INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS OPENING THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR WITH THE KEYLESS REMOTE FOR 2 1/2 YEARS AND RECENTLY IT HAS BECOME A PROBLEM 99% OF THE TIME. ABOUT A MONTH AGO I DISCOVERED ONE OF MY REAR DOORS WAS UNLOCKED WHEN IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN. YESTERDAY WHEN A PASSENGER TRIED TO GET IN THE BACK DOOR ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE IT WOULD NOT UNLOCK EVEN WHEN USING THE INTERIOR BUTTON. I'M SURE IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THE ONLY PROPERLY FUNCTIONING DOOR STOPS WORKING AND THE GAS CAP WILL NO LONGER OPEN. HOW DO YOU OPEN THE GAS CAP WITH A FAULTY LOCKING MECHANISM?? IS THERE A WAY TO OPEN IT MANUALLY?? THERE IS ALSO A QUESTION OF SAFETY IF DOORS CANNOT BE LOCKED AND UNLOCKED WITH THE INTERIOR LOCK BUTTON....RISK OF CAR JACKING, THEFT. EMERGENCY PERSONNEL COULD NOT GAIN QUICK ACCESS IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT OR FIRE OR SUBMERSION WHEN EVERY SECOND COUNTS, ESPECIALLY INVOLVING INFANTS AND SMALL CHILDREN IN CAR SEATS (OR ELDERLY) WHO CAN'T OR DON'T KNOW HOW TO MANUALLY UNLOCK THE DOOR. LIVES ARE AT RISK! THE COST TO REPAIR ONE DOOR IS ASTRONOMICAL LET ALONE HAVING TO REPAIR THREE OR ALL FOUR. THIS IS A WIDESPREAD NISSAN DEFECT THAT THEY REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE AND REPAIR. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A BIG NISSAN FAN AND THIS IS THE THIRD NISSAN I HAVE OWNED. I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER ONE IF THEY DON'T STEP UP AND FIX THIS PROBLEM. WE OWNERS OF THESE VEHICLES ARE REMINDED DAILY OF THE SAFETY ISSUES EVERY SINGLE TIME WE ENTER AND EXIT OUR CARS AND HAVE TO MANUALLY CHECK EACH DOOR TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE ALL LOCKED. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN MURANO. SINCE APRIL OF 2009, THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN LOSING POWER WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH. THE SPEED HAS DECREASED TO 5 MPH ON THREE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES, BUT THEY COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE WITH THE COMPUTER SYSTEM/ENGINE. THE CONTACT IS CONCERNED THAT A CRASH COULD OCCUR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE BASE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, SHE NOTICED THAT THE SEAT WAS NOT POSITIONED PROPERLY. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 57,472.

MY 2005 NISSAN MURANO DRIVER'S SEAT POPPED WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT WHEN I REPOSITION MYSELF IN THE SEAT. IT WAS THE LEFT REAR BRACKET. IN READING SEVERAL WEBSITES, THIS APPEARS TO BE AN INTERNATIONAL PROBLEM AND IS POSSIBLY A DESIGN FLAW AND COULD CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY IF THIS HAPPENS WHILE IN MOTION. *TR
THE DRIVER'S SIDE VISOR ON MY NISSAN MURANO KEEPS FALLING DOWN CONSTANTLY. IT WILL NOT STAY UP ON ITS OWN. I WAS BACKING OUT OF A PARKING STALL, AND THE VISOR FELL DOWN (AT THE EXACT WRONG MOMENT) BLOCKING MY VISION. THIS CAUSED ME TO BE DISTRACTED AND BUMP MY CAR INTO A POLE. THE DAMAGE TO MY CAR WAS JUST ENOUGH WHERE MY WHOLE BUMPER HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE COST OF THE REPAIRS FROM THE AUTO BODY SHOP WAS $1,050.00. THIS IS A FACTORY SAFELY HAZARD FAILURE FROM NISSAN. THE EXPENSE TO REPLACE MY VISOR IS A RIDICULOUS $400.00. NISSAN NEEDS TO DO A RECALL OR AT LEAST SELL THIS PART AT COST. I HAVE SINCE HAD TO VELCRO THE VISOR IT INTO PLACE. THE VELCRO IS NOT A SOLUTION AND MAKES THE VISOR USELESS. THIS VISOR PROBLEM IS A SAFETY HAZARD. *TR

YESTERDAY MY 2005 NISSAN MURANO DRIVERS SEAT FRAME BROKE AND THE SEAT IS ROCKING BACK AND FORTH. I HAVE READ ON THE WEB OF MANY, MANY MURANO OWNERS WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS AND IS OBVIOUSLY A KNOWN ISSUE, HOW CAN NISSAN NOT RECALL THIS? *TR
I HAVE A MURANO WHERE THE AIR INTAKE KEEPS COMING LOOSE AND WON'T STAY THEREFORE MAKING THE CAR STALL ON THE INTERSTATE WHILE TRYING TO PICK UP SPEED. IT'S BEEN FIXED ONCE BUT IT STILL KEEPS HAPPENING. I CAN'T PULL INTO TRAFFIC FOR THE FEAR THE CAR WILL CUT OFF. *TR
I OWN A 2005 MURANO AND WHILE DRIVING MY SEAT DROPPED AND SLAMMED OVER TO THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR. THIS COMPLETELY CAUGHT ME OFF GUARD AND CAUSED ME TO PULL INTO THE OPPOSITE LANE. THERE WERE NO CARS ON THE ROAD WITH ME AT THE TIME SO NO ACCIDENT HAPPENED. NOW MY SEAT LEANS TO THE LEFT AND CONSTANTLY MOVES AS I TURN OR COME TO A STOP IT WOBBLES. I HAVE CALLED MY DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE LET ME KNOW THIS IS NOT A RECALL. I HAVE RESEARCHED AND FOUND NOT ONLY ON THIS WEBSITE BUT HUNDREDS OF OTHERS THAT REPORT THIS EXACT PROBLEM. IF I GET IN TO AN ACCIDENT WHILE AWAITING FOR THE RECALL TO ACTUALLY GO IN TO AFFECT IT IS VERY POSSIBLE BEING MY SEAT IS NOT CONNECTED TO MY VEHICLE THAT I WILL BECOME PROJECTILE OR THE FORCE OF MY SEAT TO MY SEATBELT IS GOING TO CAUSE BROKEN COLLAR BONES AND FACIAL BONES. LIFTER LINK ASSEMBLY BROKE ON MY 2005 NISSAN MURANO. TOOK THE CAR IN FOR SERVICING AND WHEN I PICKED IT UP THE SEAT WAS BROKEN. THE DEALERSHIP FIXED IT BECAUSE IT WAS COVERED UNDER MY EXTENDED WARRANTY. STILL HAD TO PAY THE $50.00 DEDUCTIBLE, BECAUSE THERE WAS NO RECALL. I UNDERSTAND THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM. *TR

SUN VISOR FAILURE 2005 NISSAN MURANO. THE VISOR NO LONGER STAYS IN THE CLOSED / UPRIGHT POSITION. IT HAS BEEN GETTING PROGRESSIVELY WORSE TO THE POINT THAT IT FALLS IN THE 90DEG. (0DEG. FULLY CLOSED) POSITION HINDERING DRIVER'S FRONTWARD VISION. IT BEGAN TO ENCOUNTER PROBLEMS ABOUT 1 YR AGO. VEHICLE WAS LESS THAN 5YRS OLD BUT, OVER THE BASIC WARRANTY MILEAGE FOR WARRANTY CLAIM. INITIALLY, VISOR WOULD DROP ABOUT 10-15 DEG. ENOUGH FOR IT TO DISTRACT THE DRIVER'S VISION. NOW, THE VISOR REQUIRES REMOVAL AS IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND MAY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. *TR

I NOTICED MY PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LOCK WOULD NOT AUTOMATICALLY LOCK OR IF I MANUALLY LOCKED IT WOULD NOT UNLOCK BY PUSHING THE LOCK BUTTON IN MY 2005 NISSAN MURANO PROBABLY ABOUT THREE MONTHS AGO. SO NOW I HAVE TO MANUALLY LOCK AND UNLOCK THAT DOOR EVERYTIME. ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO I WAS GOING TO LOAD GROCERIES IN THE BACK OF MY VEHICLE AND WHEN I HIT THE SECURITY UNLOCK DEVICE THE BACK HATCH NEVER UNLOCKED. SO NOW I CAN NEVER OPEN MY BACK HATCH BECAUSE THERE IS NO KEY ENTRY ON THE TRUNK. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL MECHANIC AND HE SAID IT WAS THE LOCKING SYSTEM IN THE CAR AND WOULD COST ME OVER $700.00 TO FIX IT. NISSAN NEEDS TO TAKE CARE OF THIS BECAUSE IT IS HAPPENING TO ALOT OF PEOPLE AND IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE AN UNSAFE SITUATION OCCURS AND IS IN THE MEDIA DUE TO NOT HAVING THE ABILITY TO LOCK OR UNLOCK YOUR CAR DOORS. *TR
ALL 5 OF THE DOOR LOCKS ON MY 2005 NISSAN MURANO HAVE FAILED WITHIN THE LAST YEAR. I REPLACED THE DRIVER'S DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY WHEN THE LOCK WOULD NOT LOCK OR UNLOCK WITH THE KEY FOB OR BUTTON ON THE DOOR. SINCE THEN ALL OF THE OTHER DOOR LOCKS, INCLUDING THE LIFT GATE, HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY, SUCH AS A FIRE, I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO UNLOCK ALL THE DOORS SO PASSENGERS COULD ESCAPE. IF I WERE BEING STALKED, I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO LOCK ALL THE DOORS QUICKLY. THE DOOR LOCK PROBLEM THAT I HAVE DESCRIBED IS BEING EXPERIENCED BY 2004 - 2010 NISSAN MURANO AND MAXIMA OWNERS AROUND THE COUNTRY. NISSAN NEEDS TO RECALL THESE VEHICLES AND FIX THEM! *TR
WHILE SITTING IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT THE BRACKET THAT HOLDS THE SEAT IN ITS POSITION BROKE. THE SEAT ROCKED BACK AND FORTH CAUSING A SAFETY HAZARD FOR ME WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD COST APPROXIMATELY $1000 OR MORE TO REPAIR. VEHICLE ONLY HAD AT THE TIME APPROX 81,000 MLS. THIS DEFECT SHOULD BE FURTHER INVESTIGATED AND A RECALL ISSUED AS IT APPEARS TO BE A MANUFACTURE DEFECT WITH THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS THAT HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED. THOSE WHO HAVE HAD THIS EQUIPMENT REPAIRED AS I HAVE SHOULD BE PROPERLY REIMBURSED. *TR

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A USED 2005 NISSAN MURANO. I FEEL IN THE LOVE WITH THE CAR. UNFORTUNATELY, I HAVE FOUND A PROBLEM WITH THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT. THE FRAME HAS BROKEN AND IS NOW LEANING TOWARDS THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR. I CAN ACTUALLY ROCK THE SEAT BACK AND FORTH. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN AND THEY HAVE TOLD ME THAT THERE ARE NO RECALLS AND THE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED. UNFORTUNATELY, FOR OTHERS, I HAVE READ ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM WITH OTHER 2005 MURANOS FROM OTHER OWNERS. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED AND FEEL LIKE THIS SHOULD BE COVERED BY NISSAN OR BY RECALL SINCE IT'S A DEFECTIVE PART OF THE CAR.
