TAMARA INFLATORS , FUEL GAUGE REGISTERS EMPTY WHEN TANK IS FILLED AND WILL NOT DETECT THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF FUEL UNTIL HALF OF THE TANK IS EMPTY. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME THE TANK IS FILLED.
RADIATOR COOLANT IS LEAKING INTO TRANSMISION, WHICH COULD RESULT IN CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE
MY WIFE WAS IN A HEAD ON CRASH, A MAN TURNED LEFT IN FRONT OF HER SHE HIT HIM. THE WREAK WAS HEAD ON FOR HER TRUCK AND SIDE IMPACT FOR HIM. THANK GOD SHE WAS WEARING HER SEAT BELT BECAUSE NO AIR BAGS WERE DEPLOYED. THE SPEED LIMIT IN THAT AREA IS 45 MPH. HOW DOES A HEAD ON CRASH AT 45 MPH NOT DEPLOY ON THE DRIVER SIDE? WE BOUGHT THE CAR USED FROM AN INDEPENDENT DEALER IN DALLAS TX IN 2010.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY SHIFTED GEARS AND STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RADIATOR FLUID MIXED WITH THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND CAUSED THE TRANSMISSION TO BECOME INOPERABLE. AS A RESULT, THE TRANSMISSION AND THE RADIATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 135,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
WE PURCHASED A 2007 NISSAN PATHFINDER FROM CARMAX IN POMPANO BEACH FL IN 2012, DURING THAT TIME THE CAR HAD 55,000 MILES ON IT. WE ASK FOR THE HISTORY OF THE VEHICLE AND WAS TOLD THAT EVERYTHING WAS GOOD WITH NO ISSUES, HOWEVER A FEW YEARS LATER I WAS DRIVING AND MY CAR BECAME INOPERABLE WITH MY 3 CHILDREN IN THE CAR WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE MECHANIC HE EXPRESSED TO ME THAT THIS WAS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE AND THAT THERE WAS EVEN A LAWSUIT, BUT THE COMPANY IS NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING. WHEN I RESEARCHED THIS INFORMATION, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THESE PARTICULAR VEHICLES HAD AN EXTENDED WARRANT ON THEM UP TO 100,000 MILE FOR A FAULTY RADIATOR THAT LEAKS INTO THE TRANSMISSION ULTIMATELY DESTROYING THE TRANSMISSION WHICH WAS THE CASE WITH US. WE WERE OUT OF A CAR FOR 2 MONTHS IN A RENTAL, MAXED OUT THE CREDIT CARD UP TO 1,600 WITH A 4,000 DOLLAR BILL TO REPAIR THE TRANSMISSION. THIS WAS A TREMENDOUS FINANCIAL HARDSHIP ON THE FAMILY. WHEN I WENT TO CARMAX AND ASKED THEM WHY THEY DID NOT DISCLOSE TO US THAT THERE WAS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY, THEY HAD NO REAL ANSWER FOR ME AND STATED THAT BECAUSE THE CAR WAS OVER 100,000 MILES THAT THEY COULD NOT HELP ME. I FEEL THAT CARMAX WITHHELD INFORMATION ON THIS CAR AND ACCORDING TO THE STATE LAW IT IS REQUIRED THAT THEY INFORM CONSUMERS OF MANUFACTURE WARRANTY ON THE VEHICLES. SINCE THAT TIME THE CAR HAS HAD ADDITIONAL BREAKDOWN AND WE CAN NO LONGER PAY FOR A VEHICLE THAT IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY.E TRAPPED IN A VEHICLE THAT WAS A LEMON FORM THE BEGINNING.
TRANSMISSION IS BUCKING AND VIBRATING WHILE IN MOTION. I'M GUESSING I HAVE MONTH BEFORE IT BREAKS DOWN LIKE ALL OF THE OTHERS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN PATHFINDER EQUIPPED WITH YOKOHAMA GEOLANDAR H/T-S TIRES, SIZE: 265/70/R16 (NA). WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE TPMS WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT ALL THE TIRES WERE DRY ROTTED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TIRES WERE NOT REPLACED. THE TIRE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE DOT NUMBER AND TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WERE UNKNOWN. THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 99,180.
I WAS DRIVING WHEN MY NISSAN PATHFINDER 2007 OUT RIGHT WHEN I GOT IN THE MIDDLE OF IN INTERSECTION MY CAR JUST DIDN'T WANT TO GO I WAS PRESSING ON THE GAS AND IT WOULD GO IT THEN IT WOULD START GOING AGAIN BUT WOULDN'T GO FASTER THEN 20MPH THEN AGAIN IT WOULD STOP N WOULDNT MOVE I TOOK IT TO A SHOP TO GET IT CHECKED OUT THEY TOLD ME MY RADIATOR FAILED AND CAUSE LIQUID TO GO INTO MY TRAMISSION WHICH CAUSE THAT TO FAIL ...SO I CALLED NISSAN ABOUT THE RECALL I READ ABOUT FAIL RADIATOR AND TRAMISSION THEY TOLD ME THEY COULDN'T HELP ME
VEHICLE STARTED VIBRATING AT 40MPH TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC THEY ADVISED THAT THE RADIATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT THE RADIATOR AND TRANSMISSION FLUIDS MIXED, REPLACED THE RADIATOR FLUSHED THE TRANSMISSION VEHICLE WAS AT 90,000 MILES DROVE THE CAR ANOTHER YEAR WITH SLIGHT VIBRATION STILL AT 40MPH NOW IT IS AT 106,000 MILES TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING WHEN IT WARMS UP WON'T COME OUT OF 2ND GEAR LOOKING AT HAVING TO REBUILD THE TRANSMISSION FOR 4500.00, THE RADIATOR WAS 400.00 PLUS AN OUTSIDE COOLER FOR THE TRANSMISSION AN ADDITIONAL 200.00. HAD I BEEN MADE AWARE OF A POTENTIAL PROBLEM I MAY HAVE BEEN COVERED BECAUSE UNDER 80,000 MILES I HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE NOT HEATING UP WHEN IDOL THE HEAT WOULD ONLY WORK WHEN I DROVE THE CAR AND THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON BUT THE DIAGNOSES WAS A FUEL CAP 3 GAS CAPS LATER THE ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON AND I HAD A HEATING ELEMENT REPLACED BUT IT SEEMS THAT THE HEATING ISSUE IS A SIGN OF THE TRANSMISSION ISSUE. NISSAN SHOULD HAVE MADE IT'S CUSTOMERS AWARE OF THE ISSUE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN 2010 WITH 13.000 MILES ON IT THEY WERE WELL AWARE OF THE PROBLEMS. I CONTACTED NISSAN AND THERE RESPONSE WAS WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE US TO DO I DON'T THINK THE CLASS ACTION SUIT WAS FAIR TO THE CONSUMER I DON'T QUALIFY DUE TO THE CUT OFF DATE AND NOW THE MILEAGE BUT I WOULD RATHER GIVE A TRANSMISSION SHOP 3500.00 RATHER THAN GIVE NISSAN 3500.00 I FEEL THAT I ALREADY PAID THEM ENOUGH AND FOR THEM TO KNOW OF THIS ISSUE AND NOT NOTIFY THE CONSUMER IS TERRIBLE I HAVE 3 CHILDREN I DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY IN FACT I HAD MY 2 YEAR OLD IN THE VEHICLE WHEN THE TRANSMISSION WOULDN'T COME OUT OF 2ND GEAR IT SLOWED FROM 60MPH TO 30MPH LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO PULL INTO THE BREAKDOWN LANE AND SWITCH INTO NEUTRAL AND BACK INTO DRIVE TO GET IT TO SHIFT SO I COULD MAKE IT TO THE NEAREST EXIT.
COOLANT HAS LEAKED INTO MY TRANSMISSION. MY VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS 88000 MILES AND MY TRANSMISSION HAS STARTED SLIPPING. I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC WHO CHECKED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND HE SAID "YEAH, IT'S A MIXER". REFERRING TO THE COOLANT THAT LEAKED INTO THE TRANSMISSION. ACCORDING TO HIM IM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WHO HAS BROUGHT IN THEIR NISSAN WITH THIS ISSUE.I WENT TO NISSAN BUT THEY SAID THERE IS NO RECALL. AFTER CHECKING ONLINE IT SEEMS THERE WAS A CLASS ACTION SUIT BROUGHT AGAINST NISSAN BACK IN 2012 BUT IT SEEMS LIKE I CAN'T BE PART OF IT SINCE THE DEADLINE HAS PASSED. I HOPE THERE IS A RECALL SOON SO I CAN GET MY TRUCK FIXED.
IT STARTED WHEN MY PATHFINDER WOULD MAKE SHUDDERING NOISES AND VIBRATE HEAVILY WHILE ACCELERATING. I LATER FOUND OUT THAT MY RADIATOR HAD CRACKED AND CAUSED COOLANT TO LEAK INTO THE TRANSMISSION. I HAD THE RADIATOR REPLACED AND THE TRANSMISSION FLUSHED. BUT THAT WAS ONLY THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG. AFTER DRIVING MY CAR FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS IT COMPLETELY LOST POWER WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON CITY STREETS AND I WAS LEFT STRANDED ON A REALLY HOT DAY WITH DOGS IN THE CAR. APPARENTLY ONCE THE LEAKING RADIATOR FLUID MIXED WITH THE TRANSMISSION FLUID THIS LETHAL COMBINATION KILLED THE VALVES, SEALS AND TORQUE CONVERTER -- RENDERING MY ENTIRE TRANSMISSION USELESS. NO AMOUNT OF FLUSHING THE TRANSMISSION WAS GOING TO SAVE IT. THE TOTAL REPAIR COST OVER $6000.00 AND NISSAN IS WELL AWARE OF THIS ISSUE IN THEIR CARS YET HAVE NOT DONE THE RIGHT THING AND ISSUED A RECALL.
STARTED HEARING A LOUD KNOCKING WHEN PUTTING MY CAR IN PARK OR OTHER GEARS. TOOK IT IN FOR MY REGULAR SCHEDULED SERVICE AND TOLD THE SERVICE WRITER AT NISSAN WHAT WAS GOING ON. HE CHECKED IT AND SAID HE WOULD NOT LET ME DRIVE IT AND OFFERED A RENTAL , TOLD ME HE WOULD CALL. WELL SURPRISE $7600 PRICE TAG, SAID NOTHING ABOUT THE RECALL, I FOUND THAT MYSELF. BUT HE TOLD ME NISSAN WOULD PAY PART AND MY CO-PAY IS $3000. HE TOLD ME THE INTER COOLER IN THE RADIATOR HAD CRACKED AND LEAKED, SENDING FLUIDS INTO MY TRANSMISSION AND KILLING IT. ON TOP OF THAT THEY WANT TO REPLACE WITH A RE-MANUFACTURED TRANSMISSION. ACCORDING TO THE EXTENDED WARRANTY GUIDELINES OF THE CLASS ACTION SUIT, MY VEHICLE JUST TURNED 9 YRS. APPROX. 3 WEEKS AGO AND ONLY HAS 79,000 MILES. YOU WOULD THINK SINCE IT'S ONLY 3 WEEKS OUT OF 8 YRS. AND WITHIN THE 80, 000 THEY WOULD REPLACE FOR FREE. I WAS NEVER EVEN NOTIFIED OF THE RECALL, I HAVE MY CAR SERVICED AT THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED FROM, I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY DIDN'T TELL ME OR TAKE ACTION BEFORE THIS HAPPENED. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, WHO KNOWS MAYBE THEY WILL DO PROPER BUSINESS AND FIX THEIR MANUFACTURING DEFECT.
THE RADIATOR IS MIXING ANTI-FREEZE AND TRANSMISSION FLUID TOGETHER AND CYCLING IT THREW THE WHOLE ENGINE
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, DTE READS --- AND FUEL GAGE SEEMS TO BE INACCURATE. ISSUE PRESENTED ITSELF AT 99,900 MILES. CODE P0463 IS THROWN. THIS ISSUE IS WIDELY DOCUMENTED ACROSS FORUMS AND THE INTERNET, YET NISSAN ONLY COVERS THIS UNTIL YEAR 2013 AND/OR 72K MILES, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. THIS WIDESPREAD ISSUE SHOULD BE COVERED FOR LIFE OF VEHICLE.
IN APRIL 2016 WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO LOSE POWER. SUV MANAGED TO MAKE ANOTHER 10 MILES OR SO UNTIL THE SLIPPING WAS TO BAD TO CONTINUE DRIVING. STOPPED THE CAR AND ALLOWERD IT TO COOL. OPENED THE RADIATOR CAP AND DISCOVERED THAT THE TRASMISSION FLUD AND RADIATOR FLUID HAD MIXED. THE SUV IS NOW AT A REPAIR SHOP AND WILL NOT BE COVERED DUE TO BE OVER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY MILEAGE. I ALSO OWN A 2008 NISSAN FRONTIER THAT IS ALSO SUCCEPTIBLE TO THE SAME PROBLEM.
DEFECTIVE DRIVE CHAINS, AS DESCRIBED IN A NISSAN TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLITEN. THESE WERE ABOUT TO BREAK AND DESTROY THE ENGINE.
REAR HATCH HYDRAULICS FAILED. DOOR SLAMS SHUT, AND WILL NOT STAY IN UP POSITION. SAFETY CONCERN, ESPECIALLY WITH SMALL CHILDREN. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT THE HYDRAULICS HOLDING UP THE DOOR HAVE FAILED.
THE COOLANT HAS LEAKED INTO THE TRANSMISSION COSTING ME THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN REPAIR. THIS HAS BEEN A KNOWN PROBLEM BY NISSAN AND THEY COULD HAVE RECALLED THE VEHICLE YEARS AGO BUT HAVE NOT DONE SO COSTING UNSUSPECTING CITIZENS LIKE ME HUGE BILLS TO REPAIR MY PATHFINDER. VEHICLE HAD TO BE LEFT IN A PARKING LOT OVERNIGHT FOR FEAR OF CAUSING MORE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE AND I HAD TO WALK HOME AT NIGHT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A POPPING NOISE COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION SENSOR FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ANOTHER INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE RADIATOR COOLANT WAS LEAKING INTO THE TRANSMISSION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 129,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
ON MARCH 14TH 2016. WE PURCHASED A NISSAN PATHFINDER 2007, ON THE DAY IT WAS PURCHASED? IT SHUT DOWN IN THE GROCERY STORE PARKING LOT! WE HAD IT TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER, GOT IT BACK? AND THEN THE CAR SHUT DOWN AGAIN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET! IN A HIGH TRAFFIC AREA! MY HUSBAND CANT WALK FAR BECAUSE OF HIS DISABILITY AND WE HAD TO SIT IN THE CAR AND WAIT TILL THE TOW TRUCK CAME! MARCH 7,2017 THE DAY AFTER OUR FIRST PAYMENT! THE DEALERSHIP THEN TOLD US IT WAS A LEAK IN THE RADIATOR COOLANT HOSE DUE TO SOME FLAW IN DESIGN! THEY TOLD US IT WOULD COST 1500 MINIMUM TO FIX! WE OWNED THE CAR LESS THAN A MONTH! MADE ONE PAYMENT! AND NOW WE CAN'T DRIVE IT OR AFFORD TO FIX IT! BECAUSE OUR VEHICLE HAS 100,000 MILES NISSAN, INSTEAD OF JUST FIXING THEIR ENGINE FLAW?WANTS TO CHARGE US 3,000 DOLLARS TO FIX IT! WE ARE ON A FIXED INCOME BOTH MY HUSBAND AND I ARE DISABLED,AND FINANCED INTO A TRUCK THAT COULD HAVE KILLED US! THIS NEEDS TO BE A STRAIGHT AND FAIR RECALL WITH NO COST TO THE CONSUMER! THIS CAR COULD HAVE SHUT DOWN ANYWHERE! LEAVING US STRANDED! OR WORSE!
RADIATOR CRACKED AND LEAKED FLUID IN TO THE TRANSMISSION.
MY CAR START TO SLIP UP SO I DONE SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THAT MY TRANSMISSION HAVE COOLANT MIX IN IT ALSO OPEN RADIATOR CAP AND FOUND MILKY LOOKING COOLANT. MY CAR HAVE ONLY 114000 MILES.3/2016
TRANSMISSION COOLER INSIDE THE RADIATOR CRACKED AND GOT COOLANT IN THE TRANSMISSION, CAUSING THE TRANSMISSION TO DIE. WE WENT TO TURN THE CAR ON AND IT WOULDN'T START, FROM THERE WE TOWED IT TO A MECHANIC WHO TOLD US WHAT HAD HAPPENED.
"TAKATA RECALL" OUT OF THE CLEAR BLUE I WAS DRIVING MY 2007 PATHFINDER AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON, I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY THAT DAY AND IT PASSED PER SERVICE MANAGER LOUIS CASTILLO AT BAKER JACKSON NISSAN IN HOUSTON TEXAS, 2 DAYS LATER THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON AND ONCE AGAIN I WENT TO THE DEALER SHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THE SENSORS AND OTHER PARTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED THE COST IS $1500. I CALLED NISSAN CORP AND THEY ARE REFUSING TO TAKING RESPONSIBILITY EVEN THOUGH THEY STATED ALL 2007 PATHFINDERS IN OTHER STATES WOULD BE GIVEN A 10 YEAR WARRANTY. MY TRUCK WAS ALSO AFFECTED WITH THE RADIATOR FLULID MIXING WITH THE TRANSMISSION FLUID, DURING THE YEARS OF 2010-2012 I CONSTANTLY TOOK MY TRUCK TO BAKER JACKSON NISSAN AND THE SERVICE MANAGER THEN LARRY JUST TOPPED OFF MY TRUCK HIMSELF AND NEVER MADE A RECORD OF IT. HE KEPT ASSURING ME THAT HE WAS SAVING ME MONEY. MY TRANSMISSION FAILED BUT BECAUSE OF THE MILEAGE IN 2012 NISSAN WAS ABLE TO DENY FIXING MY TRANSMISSION VIA THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. I ENDED UP SPENDING $4800 FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION. IN 2010 NISSAN CONVINCED ME TO REPLACE MY TRAIN FOR $1600, I NEVER KNEW IT WAS A RECALL UNTIL TODAY. ANOTHER CAVEAT TO THIS MESS IS THAT BAKER JACKSON CHANGED THEIR COMPUTER SYSTEM AND HAS NO RECORD OF ME REPLACING MY TRAIN. I HAVE A BANK STATEMENT TO PROVE IT IF NECESSARY.

TIMING CHAIN FAILURE AT 80,000 MILES WHICH SHOULD NOT HAPPEN
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS DEFECTIVE AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO JERK AND LOSE ACCELERATION WHILE DRIVING. THE ENGINE LIGHT ALSO ILLUMINATED WHILE THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RADIATOR FLUID LEAKED INTO THE TRANSMISSION, WHICH CAUSED THE TRANSMISSION TO FAIL. THE TRANSMISSION WAS NOT REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THAT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WOULD NOT COVER THE ENTIRE COST OF THE TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000.
MY SUV WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A MANUFACTURING DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSON AND NOW HAS ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION COOLER PIPES SPLITTING CAUSING CROSS CONTAMINATION BETWEEN THE RADIATOR COOLANT & TRANSMISSION FLUID. WHICH RESULTED IN A FAILURE TO THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THE CROSS CONTAMINATION HAD TO HAVE A NEW TRANSMISSION, TRANSMISSION COOLER HOSES & RADIATOR REPLACED.I CALLED NISSAN CORP AND THEY ARE REFUSING TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY I TOLD THEM THAT THEY ARE PUTTING FAMILYS IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION. I ALSO EXPLAINED TO THEM WHEN I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE THEY WHERE WELL AWARE OF THE SITUATION BUT CONCEALED THAT INFORMATION FROM ME AND I LET THEM KNOW THAT I WAS PREGNANT AT THE TIME WITH OUR 4TH CHILD AND NEEDED THE 3RD ROW THATS WHY WE TRADED, SO I DID NOT APPRECIATE THAT INFORMATION BEING CONCEALED FROM ME AND PUTTING MY CHILDREN IN A UNSAFE VEHICLE. NISSAN HAS CAUSED ME TO ALMOST WRECK 3 TIMES THIS HAS CAUSED SO MUCH STRESS ON ME AND MY FAMILY.I HAVE REACHED OUT TO NISSAN CORP SEVERAL TIMES WITH THEY REFUSED TO FIX IT OR RETURN IT AND GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK.AND ALSO I DELIVERED MY BABY 10 DAYS LATER AFTER I PURCHASED THE PATHFINDER AND THE PATHERFINDER HAD ABOUT 70,000 MILES ON IT ALREADY SO THE TRANSMISSON COULD HAD EASILY WENT OUT AT ANY TIME SINCE IT HAD KNOWN PROBLEMS THAT WERE CONCEALED FROM ME AND CAUSED A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR ME AND MY BABY BECAUSE WHEN I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE THEY CONCEALED THE INFORMATION KNOWING THAT IT COULD HAPPEN AT ANYTIME AND REFUSED TO LET ME KNOW EVEN THOUGH MY HUSBAND AND I BOTH ASKED IF ANYTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE AND THEY TOLD US NO THEY CHECK THE VEHICLES BEFORE THEY SALE THEM BY THEIR MECHANICS.SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED. MY PATHFINDER ONLY HAS 123,000 MILES ON IT.

THE DEALER STATED THAT THE RADIATOR AND THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 124,789. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
AFTER HEARING A LOT OF ABOUT THIS PROBLEM I DECIDED TO MAKE A COMPLAINT BECAUSE IT IS NOT FAIR FOR ANYONE TO GO THROUGH THIS. MY 2007 PATHFINDER SUDDENLY LOST COMPLETE POWER AND IT WOULDN'T START AT ALL AFTER HAVING A MECHANIC CHECK IT HE GAVE ME A DIAGNOSE THAT IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION WHICH I DIDN'T BELIEVE I SAID WHAT DOES THE TRANSMISSION HAS TO DO WITH POWER BUT IT HAS A LOT TO DO AFTER I DID SOME RESEARCH IT COMES TO THIS. THE COOLANT ON THE VEHICLE GETS INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION AND MIXES WITH THE OIL CAUSING THE TCM (TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE) TO FAIL AND NOT TO SENT SIGNAL SO THE VEHICLE WILL START. SO NOW I HAVE TO REPAIR THE TRANSMISSION AND THE RADIATOR COST WILL BE MORE THAN 3000 DOLLARS. I BEEN THE ONLY OWNER OF THIS CAR AND HAVE TAKE GOOD CARE OF IT AS MUCH AS I CAN I JUST PAY OFF THIS CAR 2 YEARS AGO AND I DON'T THINK IS FAIR FOR US THAT HAD HAS THIS PROBLEMS TO PAID FOR IT I THINK NISSAN AMERICA SHOULD DO A RECALL ON THIS AND HELP US THE CONSUMERS.

HE TOLD ME TO JUST WAIT UNTIL MY WARRANTY KICK IN. LOW AND BEHOLD WE BROUGHT IT BACK AND THEY SAID THE WARRANTY DID NOT COVER IT. THERE ARE NISSAN THAT HAVE BEEN RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE. BAKER NISSAN KNEW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS AND SOLD ME THE CAR WITHOUT SERVICING IT PROPERLY LIKE THEY PROMISE ME. NOW THE LIGHT IS ON CAUSE THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE. WHY DO COMPANY DO CUSTOMER LIKE THAT IT IS SUCH A SHAME TO LIVE IN SUCH A GREEDY WORLD WHERE PEOPLE CARE ONLY FOR THEMSELVES. I HOPE THAT THE NISSAN COMPANY IS NOT THIS WAY BECAUSE PEOPLES LIVES ARE AT STAKE DRIVING UNSAFE VEHICLES BECAUSE YOU DON'T CHOOSE FOR ONE(1) DAY TO EAT A CAN OF BEAN. TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE FRIED DUE TO CONTAMINATION FROM THE RADIATOR FLUID. NISSAN WAS AWARE OF CONTAMINATION IN TRANSMISSION THROUGH THE RADIATOR AND THIS CONTAMINATION CAUSES THE CONTROL MODULE IN THE TRANSMISSION TO SHORT. EVERY TIME I WANT TO START MY VEHICLE I HAVE TO REPLACE A 10AMP FUSE UNDER THE HOOD THAT WILL ALWAYS BLOW EVERY TIME I START IT. REPAIR COST FOR A NEW CONTROL MODULE ARE EXCEEDING $4000 EVERY PLACE I GO. NISSAN SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAIRS OF THEIR FAULTY DESIGN. DUE TO THIS DEFECT MY FAMILY WAS STRANDED, I HAD TO LEAVE MY WORK AND PICK THEM UP IN BELOW 30 DEGREE TEMPERATURES.
PROBLEM STARTED WHEN TRANSMISSION STARTED TO SLIP WHILE DRIVING BACK AND FORTH TO WORK.. HAD TRANSMISSION FLUSHED DID NOT HELP...LEARNED ABOUT THE INTER-COOLER DEFECATE SO CHECKED THE RADIATOR TO FIND TRANNY FLUID.. CAR IS OVER 100K MILES SO LEFT WITH ALL REPAIR COST AND A SORRY ABOUT YOUR LUCK.....
AT FIRST, THE CAR WOULDN'T START OCCASIONALLY. I REPLACED THE BATTERY AND FUSES. THIS HELPED TEMPORARILY. NOW, THE CAR WON'T START UNLESS I PLACE A NEW ECU FUSE EACH TIME I ATTEMPT TO START IT. CHANGING THE FUSE WILL START THE CAR, BUT IT LACKS POWER AND IS QUICK TO STALL OUT. WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE MECHANIC, HE DISCOVERED COOLANT IN MY TRANSMISSION. AFTER READING INFORMATION FROM SEVERAL WEBSITES, I REALIZED THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH THIS MAKE/MODEL OF CAR.
1) ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO THE CRUSE CONTROL STOPPED WORKING. HAVE NOT REPAIRED THIS PROBLEM. 2) IN JULY 2015 THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL STARTED FLASHING. HAVE NOT REPAIRED THIS PROBLEM. 3) ON DEC 21, 2005 AFTER PULLING OUT OF MY DRIVE WAY THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT ADVANCE TO THE NEXT HIGHER GEAR. STOPPED AND PUT IT INTO REVERSE BUT THE SUV WOULD NOT GO BACKWARDS. SLOWLY DROVE IT AROUND THE BLOCK BACK HOME. TRANSMISSION SHOP REPORTED THAT COOLANT LEAKED INTO THE PCM COMPARTMENT CAUSING THIS PROBLEM. REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE, COST WAS 3645 US DOLLARS.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO STATED THAT THERE WAS AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CONTAMINATION DUE TO ANTI FREEZE FROM THE RADIATOR. THE TECHNICIAN ALSO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
CAR GAS GAGE IS STUCK ON EMPTY, EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A FULL TANK OF GAS. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. NISSAN SAYS I NEED A NEW FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT.
COOLANT LEAKED INTO TRANSMISSION CAUSING DAMAGE TO TRANSMISSION. VEHICLE IS IN SHOP WITH ESTIMATE OF $5000 FOR REPAIRS. MECHANIC STATED IT IS DIFFICULT TO FIND REBUILDS AND THAT THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST EXPENSIVE TRANSMISSIONS HE HAS PRICED. HE DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND MAKES IS MORE DIFFICULT TO GET REBUILT TRANSMISSIONS. I INITIALLY HAD THE COOLANT LEAK FIXED AND REPLACED THE RADIATOR. THE TRANSMISSION WOULD SHIFT ROUGH AND IN THREE MONTHS TIME FROM COOLANT LEAK REPAIRS, STARTED TO NOT SHIFT FROM 2ND TO 3RD GEAR. CAR IN NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AND WAS TAKEN TO MECHANIC.
RADIATOR FAILURE ALLOWED COOLANT TO LEAK INTO THE TRANSMISSION BOTH THE TRANSMISSION AND RADIATOR NOW NEED TO BE REPLACED. NISSAN HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM FOR A LONG TIME AND HAS FAILED TO ISSUE A RECALL. OUR VEHICLE DROPPED INTO 1ST GEAR WHILE DRIVING AND NEARLY RESULTED IN US GETTING REAR ENDED.
TIMING CHAIN TENSION SYSTEM FAILED AT 80,000 MILES.
FLUID HAS LEAKED FROM THE RADIATOR INTO THE TRANSMISSION CAUSING CORROSION IN THE TRANSMISSION. TRANSMISSION STALLS AND SHUTTERS WHILE DRIVING IT. THIS CAUSES A SAFETY HAZARD, DUE TO LACK OF POWER AND POSSIBLE LOSS OF TRANSMISSION DURING DRIVING. THIS IS A KNOWN DEFECT IN NISSAN PATHFINDERS.

IN OCTOBER OF 2015, WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER. IT HAS HAPPEN 3 TIMES SINCE (THE MOST RECENT BEING MARCH 22, 2016). AN INDEPENDENT REPAIRMAN HAS LOOK AT THE VEHICLE 3 TIMES, BUT HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM. SPOKE WITH THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP WHERE PURCHASED AND THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO DETERMINE THE ISSUE OVER THE PHONE. WE DID DISCUSS THE TRANSMISSION/ENGINE COOLANT MIXING. TAKING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR FURTHER EVALUATION. THEY SAID IT IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY OR RECALL. THERE WAS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT BUT OUR VEHICLE ALREADY HAD TOO MANY MILES TO BE INCLUDED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND ANTI FREEZE MIXED TOGETHER AND THE TRANSMISSION AND RADIATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,000.
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR JUST STOP SHIFTING GEARS, DEALER ADVISE THAT FAILED TRANSMISSION FLUID COOLER LOCATED IN THE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY THAT ALLOWED COOLANT TO MIX WITH AND CONTAMINATE THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID, RESULTING IN DAMAGED INTERNAL TRANSMISSION COMPONENTS AND A DAMAGED INTERNAL TRANSMISSION COMPUTER. READING ONLINE THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM, BUT NISSAN DOESN'T WARN THERE CUSTOMERS ABOUT THIS DEFECT. SOMEONE COULD GET HURT OR DIE BECAUSE OF THIS DEFECT.
MY WIFE WAS TAKING THE KIDS TO SCHOOL AND WHILE DRIVING IN THE DROP OFF LINE HEARD A LOUD "THUNK". WE HAD TO GET IT TOWED TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP AND PAY THE $99.00 DIAGNOSTIC FEE TO FIND OUT THAT THE RADIATOR LEAKED COOLANT INTO THE TRANSMISSION, WHICH CAUSED TRANSMISSION FAILURE. APPARENTLY THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM THAT NISSAN IS NOT ADDRESSING.
AS MANY OF THE OTHER COMPLAINTS FILED, MY TRANSMISSION HAS TO BE REPLACED DAMAGED BY THE FLOW OF OTHER FLUIDS. WITHOUT WARNING, AFTER STARTING MY VEHICLE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE OFF, MY VEHICLE WOULD BARELY DRIVE, TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT.....O/D OFF LIGHT ONAND WOULD NOT GO OFF. AFTER TAKING IT TO THE MECHANIC I WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION AS WELL AS THE RADIATOR WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED AS OTHER FLUIDS HAS FLOWED OVER INTO MY TRANSMISSION, THEREFORE DAMAGING IT.......SEEMINGLY THE WAY THE VEHICLE WAS BUILT.
