WHILE DRIVING DOWN A ROAD, THE HOOD FLEW UP AND HIT THE WINDSHIELD. I COULD NOT SEE IN FRONT OF ME AT ALL. THE HOOD RIPPED THROUGH THE FENDERS BY THE WINDSHIELD. I WAS DRIVING APPROX. 35 MILES PER HOUR AT THE TIME THIS HAPPENED.
THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE CVT AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. I REPORTED THE PROBLEM WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT THE CAR FROM CARMAX AND WAS SENT TO NISSAN FOR A RESET. NO ISSUE WAS FOUND AT THAT TIME. THE CAR IS SHUTTERING AND STALLING OUT WHILE I AM DRIVING FULL SPEED. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON THE INTERSTATE/FREEWAY AS WELL AS OTHER BUSY ROADS LEAVING MYSELF AND MY CHILD STRANDED AND IN NEAR ACCIDENTS. NISSAN REFUSES TO HELP WITH THIS PART. IT SHOULD 100% BE A RECALL. INSTEAD, NISSAN ISSUED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY THAT I WAS NOT NOTIFIED ABOUT AND EXPIRED TWO WEEKS, JULY 31, 2020 BEFORE I CONTACTED NISSAN WITH THE WORSENING ISSUE. THEY WOULD NOT HONOR THE EXTENDED WARRANTY BECAUSE MY CAR HAD 98,000 MILES INSTEAD OF 80,000/ I HAVE ONLY HAD THE CAR FOUR YEARS, I AM FINANCIALLY STRUGGLING BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC, AND MAKING PAYMENTS ON A CAR THAT I CANNOT DRIVE. THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT NISSAN'S FAULTY CVT TRANSMISSIONS. PLEASE HELP!!!!! THIS STARTED AGAIN TWO WEEKS INTO AUGUST WHEN I INITIALLY CONTACTED NISSAN. THERE HAS ALWAYS BEEN AN UNDIAGNOSED TRANSMISSION ISSUE. THESE SHOULD BE REPLACED AS RECALLS OR DEEMED LEMONS. I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE NOVEMBER OF 2016.
AIRBAG LIGHT FLASHING PASSENGER SEAT WITH OR WITHOUT SOMEONE SITTING IN THE AREA.
LAI T ON MY HOOD IS PEELING OFF AND IM GETTI G NO HELP FROM NKSSAN. I WAS TOLD BY A BODY SHOP TO TAKE IT IN BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE IT LO G AND ITS A NISSAN ISSUE. I TRIED TO USE TOUCH UP PAINT BUT ITS STILL PEELING ALONG THE FEONT OF THE HOOD I HAVE ATTACHED PICTURES AS WELL.
BRAKE LIGHTS STAYING ON EVEN WHEN BRAKE PEDAL NOT DEPRESSED AND ALSO CAUSING CAR TO NOT ACCELERATE SOMETIMES AND CAUSING THE SHIFT INTERLOCK TO NOT AUTOMATICALLY WORK TO BE ABLE TO SHIFT OUT OF PARK.
WHEN ACCELERATING THE CAR IT SHUDDERS AND SHAKES UNTIL AROUND 50 MPH
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated she was starting the ignition but was unable to shift gears out of Park. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact towed the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V142000 (Power Train) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and referred her to the local dealer to diagnose the vehicle. The contact towed the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the transmission to be replaced and for several recall repairs to be performed on the vehicle. The contact was informed that NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V142000 (Power Train) was not performed. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 152,000.
UNDER LIGHT ACCELERATION THE TRANSMISSION SHUDDERS TILL IT GETS TO 40. HAPPENS AT EVERY LIGHT. HAVE TO KEEP PUSHING THE PEDAL TO TRY TO AVOID IT. AT OTHER TIMES IT STILL SHUDDERS ANYWAYS. SOMETIMES WHEN PUT IN D OR R IT WON'T RESPOND TO PEDAL AND WILL BASICALLY COAST IF AT AN ANGLE
THE SUNVISOR/SHADE ON BOTH THE PASSENGER SIDE AND THE DRIVER SIDE IS NOT STAYING IN PLACE. IT IS BLOCKING THE VIEW. UPON CALLING NISSAN THEY CLAIMED THAT THERE ARE NO RECALLS AND HAVE TO ONLY INFORM NHTSA TO TAKE SPECIFIC ACTION.
THE LIGHT INDICATING THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WAS DISABLED CAME ON ONE DAY AND NEVER WENT OFF, INDICATING THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WAS NEVER ENABLED, EVEN IF AN ADULT WAS SITTING IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. FIRST TIME TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THIS ISSUE, THEY "CLEARED THE CODES" AND TOLD ME TO COME BACK IF IT HAPPENED AGAIN. IT HAPPENED AGAIN IMMEDIATELY UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE TO DEPART FROM THE DEALERSHIP. SECOND VISIT TO THE DEALERSHIP HAD ME REPLACE THE AIRBAG CONTROL MODULE/DIAGNOSIS UNIT (TO THE TUNE OF OVER $1,100 TOTAL PARTS/LABOR/TAX) BECAUSE THE LIGHT WOULD NOT GO OFF EVEN WHEN RESET, AND IT WAS NOT "THROWING ANY CODES." I WAS TOLD SOMETHING ELSE COULD STILL BE WRONG, BUT WITH THIS UNIT REPLACED, IT WOULD PROVIDE THE "CODES" FOR WHATEVER ELSE MAY REQUIRE REPAIR. HOWEVER, ONCE THIS PART WAS REPLACED, THE PROBLEM PERSISTED. DEALERSHIP THEN SAID THE "NEXT STEP" IS TO REPLACE 2 AIRBAG SENSORS AND ANOTHER RELATED UNIT (ANOTHER ~$600). IF THE LIGHT IS STILL ON AFTER THAT, THEY JUST KEEP GOING DOWN THE LIST OF AIRBAG SYSTEM PARTS TO REPLACE UNTIL THEY FINALLY FIX THE ISSUE. BASICALLY, NO ONE KNOWS WHAT'S REALLY WRONG, SO WE'LL JUST KEEP REPLACING PARTS THAT PROBABLY DON'T ACTUALLY NEED TO BE REPLACED UNTIL WE FINALLY REACH THE ONE THAT DOES. APPARENTLY, THIS IS HOW NISSAN REPAIRS THEIR AIRBAG SYSTEMS (WHICH A QUICK ONLINE SEARCH INDICATES THEY HAVE PLENTY OF ISSUES WITH). THE AIRBAG DIAGNOSIS UNIT CLEARLY DOESN'T ACTUALLY "DIAGNOSE" ANYTHING. MEANWHILE, I AM AT THEIR MERCY BECAUSE AN AIRBAG ISSUE IS CAUSE FOR STATE INSPECTION FAILURE AND IS OBVIOUSLY A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN.
MY CAR WAS ON A CITY STREET, WHEN I STOPPED BY MY MAILBOX, AND COULDN'T SHIFT INTO GEAR, BECAUSE IT WAS STUCK IN PARK. I WENT ON THE INTERNET TO FIND OUT HOW TO TEMPORARILY GET IT OUT OF PARK, SO I COULD DRIVE MY CAR TO THE NISSAN REPAIR SHOP.THE WHOLE SHIFT ASSEMBLY WAS CHANGED FOR $900. *TR

THE CONTACT PULLED OFF THE ROADWAY AND WAITED APPROXIMATELY 10-15 MINUTES BEFORE RESUMING DRIVING TO THE RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO EXCEED 15 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC HOWEVER; THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A CAUSE FOR THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO DESTINATION NISSAN LOCATED AT 770 CENTRAL AVE, ALBANY, NY 12206, WHERE THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE AND DETERMINED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V142000 (POWER TRAIN) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.
I KEEP CHANGE THE BATTERY TO THE CONTROL KEY AND I CAN NOT START MY VEHICLE .INFORMATION NO KEY DETECTED SHOW IN SCREEN , AND I CAN'T UNLOCK THE DOORS AND LOCK THE DOORS.
2014 NISSAN PATHFINDER 44,424 MILES. PART 621-586 RAD FAN ASSEMBLY/COOKING FAN NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. VEHICLE MAKES LOUD ROARING NOISE WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONER UNIT IS TURNED ON. VEHICLE SHAKES WHILE IN MOTION ON CITY AND HIGHWAY STREETS.
BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH FAILURE. SAME PROBLEM AS THE RECALL IN 2013 NISSAN PATHFINDER AWD.
VEHICLE LOSES ACCELERATION WHEN DRIVING, AND EVEN WITH FULL GAS PEDAL DOESN'T PICKUP SPEED. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE WHEN DRIVING AND PRONE TO CAUSING ACCIDENT OR DEATH RISK. THE DEALER COULDN'T TRACE THE ISSUE AFTER PERFORMING STANDARD DIAGNOSTICS. THIS ISSUE IS HAPPENING VERY FREQUENTLY, WITH NO REMEDIATION OR RESOLUTION BY DEALERS. THIS SAME VEHICLE HAS BRAKELIGHT ISSUES. THE BRAKELIGHTS STAY EVEN THOUGH NO BRAKES ARE IN USE AND/OR VEHICLE IS PARKED. THE BRAKE AND ACCELERATION HAS TO BE PRESSED FRUSTRATING NUMBER OF TIMES BEFORE THEY TURN-OFF. THIS ISSUE MAY POTENTIALLY CAUSE ON-ROAD ACCIDENT RISK OR DRAIN THE BATTERY. THERE IS NO ERROR MESSAGE NOR DIAGNOSTIC DISPLAYED IN TEH VEHICLE.
SUN VISOR DOES NOT STAY IN PLACE AND DROOPS AND OBSTRUCTS VIEW WHEN VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. THIS OBSTRUCTS VIEW AND MAY CAUSE A CRASH. THE SAME HAPPENS TO BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE SUN VISORS. A QUICK INTERNET SEARCH SHOWS THE PROBLEM TO BE PREVALENT.
I BOUGHT A 2013 NISSAN PATHFINDER ON 2016 AND IN 2017 I TOOK IT TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP FOR HAVING THE SHAKING WHEN ACCELERATING, AT THAT TIME THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS THE CAUSE AND THAT THEY FIXED IT. NOW AFTER TWO YEARS HAVE PASSED MY CAR STARTED TO SHAKE AGAIN PUTTING ME AND MY FAMILY IN A RISK OF AN ACCIDENTS. I TOOK IT TO THE SAME DEALERSHIP AND I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION AGAIN AND NOW THEY ARE SAYING IT HAS TO BE REPLACED SINCE NISSAN HAVE HAD SO MANY COMPLAINTS FOR THE SAME REASON BECAUSE THEY NEVER NOTIFIED THE COSTUMERS ABOUT THIS ISSUES IN THESE SUVS. BUT NOW NISSAN WANTS TO CHARGED ME $4000 FOR THE TRANSMISSION BECAUSE I'M OVER THE 100,000 MILES. BUT WHEN I TOOK THE VEHICLE THE FIRST TIME IT WAS UNDER THE WARRANTY THEY KNEW ALREADY, BY THEN, THE PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSIONS AND THAT WAS THE PERFECT TIME FOR THEM TO REPLACED IT INSTEAD OF FIXING IT. THEY CHOSEN TO PUT ME AND MY FAMILY AT RISK OF CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. THE VEHICLE AT THIS MOMENT IS SITTING THERE AT THE DEALERSHIP.
VEHICLE WITH NO KNOWN MECHANICAL ISSUES/NEVER INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WAS TRAVELING 50MPH ON A MAJOR STATE ROUTE WHEN SUDDENLY THE VEHICLE SEIZED AND BEGAN VIBRATING AS IF IT HAD A FLAT TIRE. AS THE DRIVER TRIED TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE AND PULL OVER THERE WAS A LOUD SCRAPING SOUND. THE CONTROL ARM ON THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE HAD BROKEN FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LICENSED MECHANIC, WHERE UPON INSPECTION IT WAS FOUND THAT THE REAR SUBFRAME BROKE APART: THE BOLT HOLDING THE CONTROL ARM DID NOT BREAK OFF, A PORTION OF THE FRAME BROKE FROM THE REST OF THE SUBFRAME. THE MECHANIC FOUND NO UNUSUAL RUST OR DETERIORATION ANYWHERE ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT HE HAD NEVER SEEN THIS ISSUE ON A VEHICLE AND THERE WAS NO REASONABLE EXPLANATION WHY IT SHOULD OF OCCURRED. THE MECHANIC ALSO STATED THAT THE DRIVER WAS EXTREMELY FORTUNATE THAT THE VEHICLE WASN'T INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THIS ISSUE.
SINCE I PURCHASED MY PATHFINDER, I HAVE HAD NUMEROUS CLOSE CALLS IN ALMOST HAVING AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THE MIRRORS AND THE SIDE PANELS INSIDE BY THE MIRRORS, I CANNOT SEE IF ANOTHER VEHICLE IS COMING OR IF I'M AT A 4 WAY STOP I CAN NOT SEE IF THERE IS A CAR ON EITHER SIDE OF ME AT THE STOP. THE BOLT AND ARM THAT OPEN THE REAR LIFTGATE ON MY 2013 PATHFINDER RUSTED FROM THE INSIDE OUT. ONLY WARNING SIGN WAS ONCE LIFTED, IT AUTOMATICALLY CLOSED. THIS HAPPENED 5 TIMES. THE PISTON SNAPPED AND BROKE AWAY AND BLOCKED THE LIFT GATE FROM CLOSING. SECURING THE LIFT WAS CHALLENGING! ONLY WAY TO OPEN IS MANUALLY LIFTING IT AND HOLDING AND PROPPING IT OPEN. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT GETTING IT FIXED OR CHANGING FROM POWER TO A MANUAL LIFT. I NEED TO REPLACE BOTH SHOCKS AS WELL AS THE OPERATING SYSTEM EST $1400 BEFORE LABOR. OBVIOUSLY THERE IS AN ISSUE SINCE NISSAN HAS COMPLETELY CHANGED HOW THE DOOR OPENS AND CLOSES! NISSAN ISSUED A RECALL ON THE ROGUE FOR THAT SAME ISSUE WITH THE TAILGATE. . . . . I'M SURE THE PISTONS FROM THE ROGUE THAT WERE RECALLED ARE INCREDIBLY SIMILAR TO THE ONES IN THE PATHFINDER. WITH COVID AND CURBSIDE PICKUP, FOLKS HAVE TO PUT ITEMS IN VIA THE WINDOWS - VERY CHALLENGING. *TR
INCREASING ENGINE NOISE, HEAVY HIGHWAY VIBRATION (ALMOST LIKE UNBALANCED TIRES) AND VERY CHOPPY START-FROM-STOP EXCELERATION CAUSED ME TO HAVE THE CAR LOOKED AT BY A MECHANIC. WHEN ACCELERATING YOU CAN FEEL IT VIBRATE OR HESITATION . THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE WITH IT. THE CVT TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN REPLACED ONCE AT 15, 000 MILES. NOW THAT IT IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY, NISSAN WILL NOT FIX OR REPLACE, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE.
MY CAR IS FAILING TO CHANGE GEAR AND JERKS EVERY TIME I TRY TO ACCELERATE.

THERE WAS NO ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 23,684.

ORIGINAL TRANSMISSION REPLACED IN MARCH 2018 WITH ERROR CODE P17F0 DUE TO TRANSMISSION SHUDDERING. RECENTLY STARTED HAVING SAME ISSUES HAPPEN AGAIN, WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK, NOTICED SUDDEN ACCELERATION DELAY WHEN AT STOPPED POSITIONS/LOW SPEED POSITIONS. VEHICLE NOISE HAS BECOME VERY LOUD WHEN IDLE OR LOW SPEED. TOOK IT INTO NISSAN DEALER, THEY WERE ABLE TO REPLICATE ERROR AND IDENTIFIED SAME ISSUE. SINCE NO ERROR CODE, THE WARRANTY DEPARTMENT STATED CANNOT BE FIXED BECAUSE THERE'S NO CODE. NISSAN HAS RECOMMENDED DRIVING AROUND UNTIL ERROR CODE POPS UP - 3000KM/3MOS LEFT ON EXTENDED WARRANTY. IF ERROR CODE DOESN'T GET STORED, I'M TOLD THEY CAN'T FIX. TAKING BACK IN FOR RE-DIAGNOSIS AS TRANSMISSION NOISE IS UNBEARABLE
I AM HAVING TRANSMISSION ISSUES. I BROUGHT MY CAR IN THEY SAID I NEED TO REPLACE THE HOSES ON VEHICLE. NOW THAT THAT HAS BEEN DONE THEY ARE TELLING ME I AM STILL HAVING A TRANSMISSION LEAK. BECAUSE OF BAD CLAMPS. THEY HAVE NOW TOLD ME THEY CANNOT REPLACE JUST CLAMPS AND MUST REPLACE RADIATOR ALSO. I HAVE FOUND THAT NISSAN HAS A RECALL POWER TRAIN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION COOLING UNIT AND LINES ON 2013 PATHFINDERS. WHEN I ASKED ABOUT THE RECALL THEY SAID MINE DOESNT QUALIFY.... EVEN THOUGH SAME ISSUE AS OTHER 2013 PATHFINDERS WITH RECALL

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ANOTHER INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GARDEN CITY NISSAN (316 N FRANKLIN ST, HEMPSTEAD, NY 11550, (516) 483-4400) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND ENGINE SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE SENSOR WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING REPAIRED, BUT NOT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 74,000.
I CAN NOT MOVE THE SHIFTER OUT OF PARK. I HAVE TO USE THE RELEASE BUTTON NEXT TO THE SHIFTER EVERY TIME TO GET IT OUT OF PARK.

THIS BLOCKS THE VISIBILITY OF THE ROAD AND POSES A SAFETY HAZARD AS IF YOU WERE IN AN ACCIDENT THE PERSON WOULD GET INJURED BY THE VISOR HANGING DOWN. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN MENTIONED ONLINE BY MANY NISSAN OWNERS AND NISSAN REFUSES TO COVER. I RECEIVED AN ESTIMATE OF $430.84 TO GET THEM REPLACED. THE CONTACT HAD TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE AND HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER MENTIONED ABOVE WHERE THEY WERE UNABLE TO IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE HAD OCCURRED AGAIN AND DURING THE MOST RECENT FAILURE THE CONTACT HAD TO PRESS THE EMERGENCY BRAKES AT THE SAME TIME OF THE BRAKE PEDAL TO TURN OFF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER MENTIONED ABOVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOW INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 21V020000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING) HOWEVER THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED UNDER THE RECALL AS OF YET. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF ALL THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 37,000.

I REQUESTED AN EXPLANATION OF THE PROCESS NISSAN USES TO DETERMINE WHAT VIN APPLY, WHAT DEPARTMENT WOULD BE ABLE TO EXPLAIN, WHY WOULD THE DEALER NEED TO ANSWER THE WHY AND HOW'S NISSAN DETERMINES WHAT VIN APPLY. IT APPEARS THE AIRBAG ISSUE MUST HAVE BEEN MISSED ON MY VIN. BASED ON NISSAN PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG REPAIR BULLETIN IT CAN TAKE UP TO 3 TRIPS WITH THE COST INCREASING EACH TIME. IN MY OPINION, IF SOME 2013-2017 PATHFINDER PASSENGER AIRBAGS ARE RECALLED THERE MUST BE AN ISSUE. WITH THAT SAID, ANYONE WHO'S VIN WASN'T ORIGINALLY LISTED SHOULD BE ABLE TO HAVE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG REPAIRED UNDER THE RECALL.

WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT SHE NO LONGER QUALIFIED FOR THE MANUFACTURER RECALL AND WOULD HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR THE REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THE SAME THING AS THE DEALER. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,410.
BRAKE LIGHTS STAY ON AND VEHICLE HAS LOSS OF POWER WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE AND THE WHEN BRAKE LIGHTS GO OFF IT GOES BACK TO FULL POWER. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL BUT IT APPEARS MY VIN NUMBER ISN'T COVERED ALTHOUGH IT HAS THE SAME ISSUES AS OTHER 2013 NISSAN PATHFINDERS. I HAVE LESS THAN 61000 MILES ON THE VEHICAL.
THE AIRBAG SYSTEM IS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. THE SRS LIGHT IS FLASHING ON THE DASH. THE AIR BAG LIGHT WILL NOT DETECT A PASSENGER WEIGHING OVER 150 LBS. THE PROBLEM WAS ADDRESSED WITH A RECALL. IN MAY OF 2018, THE PROBLEM WAS TEMPORARILY FIXED BY REPLACING THE ACU DIAG UNIT, THE AIR BAG PRESS DETECTION MODULE ASSEMBLY, THE OCCUPANT SENSOR, AND THE AIR BAG PRESSURE DETECTION SENSOR. THE PROBLEM IS OCCURRING AGAIN JUST OVER A YEAR LATER. THIS PROBLEMS OCCURS IN ALL DRIVING CONDITIONS AT ALL TIMES. THE FLASHING LIGHT SUPPRESSES THE AIR BAG SYSTEM MEANING AN AIR BAG WILL NOT WORK AS IT SHOULD DURING AN ACCIDENT. THIS LEAVES MY FAMILY AND I AT RISK OF INJURY OR DEATH IF AN ACCIDENT WAS TO OCCUR.
