I PURCHASED MY 2017 NISSAN PRE-OWNED WITH 40,000 MILES AND I HAVE ONLY HAD THE VEHICLE FOR 4 MONTHS. THE BACK UP CAMERA WILL SPORADICALLY STAY ON WHILE IN DRIVE UNTIL YOU STOP AND TAKE IT OUT OF DRIVE. I HAVE TAKEN IT IN AND THEY CAN'T GET IT TO DUPLICATE SO THEY CAN'T FIX THE PROBLEM. I ALSO STARTED HAVING LOAD NOISES COMING FROM THE ENGINE WHILE THE A/C WAS RUNNING. COME TO FIND OUT IT IS THE RADIATOR COOLING FAN ASSEMBLY WAS SHAKING AROUND AND NOW I HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE IT FIXED! I HAVE NOW DONE RESEARCH AND FOUND THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT NISSAN DOESN'T WANT TO ADDRESS OR DO A RECALL ON. SEEING AS THAT PATHFINDERS FROM 2014-2018 MOST AROUND 30K TO 50K HAVE BEEN AFFECTED YET SOMEHOW THESE ISSUES ARE NOT OF CONCERN. I CALLED NISSAN AND SHE TOOK MY COMPLAINT BUT DID LET ME KNOW THAT THIS HAS NOT BE ADDRESSED AS AN ISSUE BY NISSAN. I REALLY LOVE MY NISSAN PATHFINDER BUT I AM SO DISAPPOINTED NOW BY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DOING RIGHT BY THE CUSTOMER IS NOT A CONCERN OF NISSAN.
I BOUGHT MY CAR USED ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO. IT HAS 47K MILE ON IT NOW AND ABOUT 4 DAYS AGO WHILE DRIVING IT I STARTED HEARING A LOUD BUZZING/RATTLING SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE CAR. I PULLED OVER IN A PARKING LOT AND OPENED THE HOOD AND FOUND THE RADIATOR/COOLING FAN ASSEMBLY SHAKING AROUND LIKE IT WAS TOTALLY OUT OF BALANCE. I SHUT OFF THE A/C SYSTEM AND THE FAN STOPS SHAKING. SINCE THIS OCCURRED I HAVE TALKED TO NUMEROUS PEOPLE ONLINE THAT STATE THIS VERY THING HAS HAPPENED TO THEM ON PATHFINDERS RANGING FROM 2014-2018 AND IT ALL SEEMED TO HAPPEN AROUND 40-50K MILES AND NISSAN WILL DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. THIS SEEMS LIKE A HUGE ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AND ADDRESSED. THANK YOU
WE OWN A 2015 AND A 2017 PLATINUM PATHFINDER BOTH WITH 25K MILES. THE 2017 HAS 20-30 MORE HORSEPOWER THAN THE 2015, BUT THE 2017 IS MUCH SLOWER. THE 2017 IS VERY SLUGGISH FROM 0-35MPH. THE ACCELERATION HAS PROGRESSIVELY GOTTEN WORSE. I'VE PUT THE HIGHEST OCTANE IN AS INSTRUCTED BY NASHVILLE NISSAN; STILL SLOW. ACCELERATING UPHILL AT LOW RPMS MAKES THE ENGINE RATTLE (ABLE TO HEAR IT WHEN DRIVING BY A STRUCTURE TO BE ABLE TO HEAR THE SOUND REVERB OFF BACK TO VEHICLE). TRIED MULTIPLE DIFFERENT AIR FILTERS TO HELP ENGINE BREATHE, STILL SLOW. ANY HELP WILL HELP.
WE PURCHASED A 2017 NISSAN PATHFINDER FOR OUR FAMILY 5 FROM PETERS NISSAN IN NASHUA N.H. AUGUST 2017. IN NOVEMBER 2018 WE STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE LOSING POWER, AND SHAKING LIKE IT'S READY TO STALL OUT. WE TOOK IT IN TO NISSAN AND THEY CLAIMED THEY REPLACED ALL 6 FUEL INJECTORS AND 5 UPPER INJECTOR 0-RINGS. WE BROUGHT IT BACK ON DEC 3, 2018 FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AND NISSAN DOCUMENTATION STATES THAT THEY PERFORMED ROAD TEST AND VEHICLE ROAD GAUGE READ ALL THE WAY EMPTY EVEN THOUGH THE VEHICLE HAD ONE HALF A TANK OF FUEL. THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE REPLACED INTERNAL FUEL PUMP AND AND THE VEHICLE FUEL GAUGE WAS THEN READING AT THE APPROPRIATE LEVEL AND THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO US. ON JAN 14, 2019 WE TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO NISSAN FOR THE SAME MECHANICAL PROBLEM AND THEY KEPT IT UNTIL FEB 6 CLAIMING THAT THEY WERE DOING EXTENSIVE RESEARCH TO DIAGNOSE AND FIX THE PROBLEM. AFTER 3 WEEKS WITHOUT OUR VEHICLE WE WERE CALLED TO PICK IT UP AND THE WORK ORDER STATED 'ROAD TESTED VEHICLE AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE CONDITION'. HOWEVER THE PAPERWORK INDICATES THAT THE MILEAGE IN WAS 23181 AND THE MILEAGE OUT WAS EXACTLY THE SAME, 23181, INDICATING THAT NISSAN NEVER REALLY DID ANYTHING TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. WE ARE A FAMILY OF 5 AND FOR US THIS VEHICLE WAS A HUGE INVESTMENT, WE'RE CONFIDENT IN THE NISSAN BRAND NAME BUT NOW WE ARE REGRETTING OUR DECISION. WE HAVE REQUESTED THAT NISSAN BUY THE VEHICLE BACK SO WE CAN PURCHASE A RELIABLE VEHICLE FROM ANOTHER BRAND NAME CORPORATION OR AT A MINIMUM REPLACE THIS VEHICLE WITH A NEW NISSAN PATHFINDER TO NO AVAIL, SO NOW WE FEEL WE ARE STUCK WITH THIS HIGH PRICED LEMON.
I CURRENTLY HAVE 38000 MILES ON MY CAR AND HAVE ALREADY HAD THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP REPLACED PLUS THE LOW PRESSURE ONE. MY ALTERNATOR WAS REPLACED LAST MONTH AND NOT MY COOLANT FAN IS MAKING A HORRIBLE NOISE AND HAS TO BE REPLACE. I FEEL LIKE THERE SHOULD BE SOME TYPE OF RECALL ON THE ENTIRE VEHICLE CAUSE WITHIN A YEAR I HAVE HAD WAY TOO MANY PROBLEMS. THE VEHICLE HAS HAD REGULAR MAINTENANCE AND THE DEALERSHIP IS TELLING ME THE PART IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. WHERE IS THE JUSTICE FOR BUYING THIS 2017 NISSAN PATHFINDER! JUST A WASTE OF MONEY.
LOUD KNOCKING NOICE COMING FROM ENGINE, AFTER RESEARCH AND DEALER CHECKUP IT APPEARS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM FOR THESE 2014-2018 PATHFINDERS. THE PROBLEM TYPICALLY OCCURS AROUND 50-60K MILES WHICH IS OUTSIDE OF THE MANUFACTURES WARRANTY. MINE BEGAN AROUND 50K, ANYTIME MY ENGINE GETS HOT AND BOTH FANS KICK ON THE COOLING FAN ASSEMBLY STARTS VIOLENTLY VIBRATING (I HAVE VIDEO WITH SOUND). THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THE VIBRATING IS TO TURN OFF THE A/C WHICH IN OUR TEXAS SUMMER HEAT REACHING OVER 100 DEGREES IS UNREALISTIC CONSIDERING I USE THIS AS A FAMILY VEHICLE. IF YOU LOOK AT ALL OF THE COMPLAINTS REPORTED YOU AND DO A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH YOU WILL SEE THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM AND NISSAN IS FULLY AWARE OF IT AND IN MY OPINION SHOULD BE LIABLE FOR INSTALLING A FAULTY FAN. I WAS QUOTED $950 TO REPLACE THE BAD COOLING FAN ASSEMBLY PART BY THE DEALERSHIP. IT IS MY SINCERE HOPES THAT A FULL INVESTIGATION IS DONE AND A RECALL IS ISSUED FOR THE NUMBER ONE COMPLAINT WITH THIS VEHICLE.
MY PATHFINDER HAD LESS THAN 50K MILES WHEN THE FAN ASSEMBLY STARTED MAKING A CLATTERING NOISE WHILE THE A/C WAS ON. IT SOUNDS LIKE THE FAN WAS OFF BALANCE AND HITTING THE ASSEMBLY. IT QUICKLY PROGRESSED TO DOING IT SPORADICALLY WHILE THE A/C WAS TURNED OFF (IT HAPPENED IN THE FALL, SO WEATHER WAS TEMPERATE). AFTER TAKING MY VEHICLE IN TO THE DEALERSHIP, I FOUND OUT THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE OVER A FEW YEARS' WORTH OF NISSAN MODELS. NISSAN HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL OR TSB, BUT EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERED IT AND DEALERSHIP COMPED MY DEDUCTIBLE WHEN I PRODUCED MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS OF OTHER OWNERS WITH SAME ISSUE.
CVT TRANSMISSION SHOWS SIGNIFICANT HESITATION WHEN INCREASING SPEED ON A HILLY ROAD AND FUEL IMMOBILIZER MAKES ENGINE SHOWS SIGN OF IDOLING WHICH FEELS LIKE ENGINE IS ABOUT TO STALL
MY EMERGENCY BRAKING KEEPS SENDING ME ALERTS WHEN THERE IS NOTHING IN FRONT OF ME. I'M GETTING MESSAGES THAT THE SYSTEM IS DISABLE BECAUSE OF AN OBSTRUCTION. THIS HAPPENS A LOT OF TIMES WHEN IT'S RAINING OUT. I HAVE OPEN A COMPLAINT WITH NISSAN CASE NUMBER 32896677. THE DEALER TELLS ME RAIN CAN EFFECT THE SYSTEM. WHEN THE WEATHER IS BAD IS WHEN YOU NEED THE SYSTEM THE MOST.
MY 2017 PATHFINDER HAS ABOUT 22K MILES ON IT, HAD, PLENTY OF GAS AND OIL, BUT JUST RANDOMLY SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 30-25 MPH ON A 4-LANE ROAD. I WAS DARN LUCKY I WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE SHOULDER AND WASNT HIT IN THE PROCESS. THEN THE CAR WOULD START AND IMMEDIATELY DIE; AND I WOUND UP HAVING TO GET IT TOWED TO THE DEALER. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO WARNING BEFORE THIS HAPPENED - IT SIMPLY SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS IN FORWARD MOTION. THE DEALERSHIP WASN'T ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE OR TO GET A CODE BACK FROM THE COMPUTER - THEY WERE COMPLETELY CLUELESS. I NO LONGER FEEL SAFE IN THIS CAR. HOPE THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN AGAIN AND KILL ME, Y FAMILY OR ANYONE ELSE. *BF.. NO VIN AVAILABLE UPDATED 11/1/18*JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE JOLTED FORWARD, THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED, AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO NISSAN OF BRADENTON (1611 CORTEZ RD W, BRADENTON, FL 34207, (941) 755-1571) WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS A JUDDER CODE FOR THE TRANSMISSION. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION BODY BELT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND, IF THE FAILURE PERSISTED, THE TRANSMISSION WOULD ALSO NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
BACKUP CAMERA IS REMAINING ON WHILE DRIVING. SERIOUS DISTRACTION WHICH COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. MUST STOP THE ENGINE TO RESET WHICH IS ALSO A POSSIBLE HAZARD DEPENDING ON LOCATION AND TRAFFIC SUCH AS BACKING OUT OF DRIVEWAY INTO A MAIN ROADWAY WITH NO SHOULDER TO PULLOVER TO RESET! DEALER SEES NO ISSUE. HAS OCCURRED 3 TIMES IN THE 6 MONTHS WE'VE OWNED THE VEHICLE. PARKED IN GARAGE SO NOT A RAIN ISSUE, BUT HAVE NOTICED IT OCCURRING ON HIGH HUMIDITY DAYS POST RAIN.
FOR THE SECOND TIME WHILE DRIVING MY PATHFINDER MY CAR SIMPLY SHUTS ITSELF OFF. IT WON'T MOVE AT ALL. THIS HAS HAPPENED ONCE GOING UP A HILL IN DECEMBER OF 2017, AND YESTERDAY WHOLE ON A BUSY ROAD. LUCKILY I WAS NOT REAR ENDED. AFTER ABOUT 20 MINUTES MY CAR STARTED NORMAL AND RAN FINE ON THE WAY HOME. IF I WAS ON A HIGHWAY WHICH I NORMALLY DRIVE I WOULD HAVE BEEN HIT AS THERE ARE NO WARNING SIGNS BEFORE IT DOES THIS. I HAVE BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY CAN'T GET THE CAR TO SHOW A CODE. MY SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS IS AT AN ALL TIME HIGH IN THIS AUTOMOBILE .
MY 2017 NISSAN PATHFINDER HAS A FAULTY OCCUPANCY SENSOR AND PER NISSAN MY 2017 NISSAN PATHFINDER IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE MASSIVE OCCUPANCY SENSOR RECALL INCLUDING OVER 3,000,000,000 NISSANS. NISSAN CLAIMS THE SENSOR IS FAULTY DUE TO THINGS SUCH AS A WATER BOTTLE BEING FOUND UNDER THE SEAT. BECAUSE MY SUV IS OUT OF WARRANTY DUE TO MILES NISSAN WILL NOT COVER THE REPAIR. I SUSPECT THE RECALL SHOULD BE EXPANDED AS I WONDER HOW MANY OTHER NISSANS OWNERS ARE TOLD THEIR OCCUPANCY SENSORS ARE BROKEN DUE TO THEIR OWN ACTIONS RATHER THAN BEING FAULTY. SHAME ON YOU NISSAN.
FUEL LEVEL SENSOR CAUSING INACCURATE FUEL GAUGE READING. THIS HAPPENED WHEN I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY
ON FEBRUARY 10, 2018, WE BROUGHT HOME A NEW PUPPY. WE WANTED TO CALM OUR CURRENT PET DOWN SO I WENT INSIDE MY HOUSE TO LET HIM OUT TO USE THE RESTROOM AND CALM HIM FOR THE INTRODUCTION. IT WAS A COLD NIGHT SO MY 7-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER AND HUSBAND WERE IN THE BACKSEAT UNBUCKLED WITH THE HEATER ON. NOBODY WAS IN THE FRONT SEAT AT THE TIME. THE CAR WAS RUNNING AND I HAD THE KEY IN MY POCKET IN OUR HOUSE. ABOUT 7 MINUTES LATER I HEARD A CRASH. IN MY MIND, I FIGURED MY HUSBAND WAS MOVING THINGS IN OUR GARAGE BUT WHEN I WENT OUTSIDE, THE CAR HAD ACCELERATED UP MY DRIVEWAY AND INTO MY GARAGE. IT CRASHED INTO MY FREEZER, AND IF THE FREEZER HAD NOT BEEN IN THE WAY IT WOULD HAVE CRASHED INTO MY HOUSE. NISSAN FLEW AN ENGINEER DOWN FROM TENNESEE AND HE RAN A REPORT ON HIS COMPUTER AND FOUND NO FAULT. I ASKED IF THEY KNEW WHY IT HAPPENED AND IF THEY TOOK THE VEHICLE APART TO LOOK FOR CAUSE AND THEY SAID: "NO, WE WERE NOT LOOKING FOR WHY ONLY IF THE COMPUTER SHOWED AN ERROR." I ASKED FOR THE REPORT AND THEY STATED THAT THE REPORT WAS PROPRIETARY AND REFUSED TO RELEASE IT TO ME. IT SEEMS ODD THAT THEY WOULD NOT RELEASE THE REPORT IF NISSAN IS NOT AT FAULT.
WHILE DRIVING ON AN COUNTRY ROAD GOING 35, MY 2017 PATHFINDER SUV ALL OF A SUDDEN HESITATED TO GO PAST 40 FOR A FEW SECONDS. HAD MY FOOT TO THE FLOOR, THE RPM GAUGE WAS SPINNING BUT I COULDN'T GET PAST 40.
I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2017 PATHFINDER WITH 10,300 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. YESTERDAY JANUARY 18, 2018 I WAS DRIVING WITH MY WIFE WHEN THERE WAS A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT FOLLOWED BY THE SMELL OF BURNING ELECTRICAL SMELL. THE NOISE STOPPED BUT THE SMELL CONTINUED FOR A SHORT TIME. THE OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE WAS NOT AFFECTED. I DROVE THE VEHICLE AGAIN TODAY BUT THERE WAS NO REPEAT PERFORMANCE. WHAT COULD THIS BE AS I FOUND A SIMILAR PROBLEM POSTED.
MY VEHICLE RECEIVED A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I TOOK MY VEHICLE INTO A DEALERSHIP AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE FUEL SYSTEM. NISSAN APPARENTLY KNOWS ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND HAVE NO IDEA ON HOW TO FIX IT. THEY RECOMMENDED THAT I KEEP THE CAR FILLED TO HALF A TANK OR MORE SO I DO T GET THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THE ISSUE I HAVE IS IN THE OCCASION I LET THE CAR GET BELOW HALF A TANK AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON HOW CAN I TELL IF IT'S THE FUEL SYSTEM OR SOMETHING ELSE. IT TAKES APPROXIMATELY A WEEK OR MORE FOR THE LIGHT TO GO OFF AFTER REFILLING THE CAR. MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN LIKE THIS FOR JUST OVER A YEAR. I'VE ASKED REPEATED TIMES FOR AN UPDATE WITH NO ANSWER.
THE CVT TRANSMISSION DOESN'T SHIFT CORRECTLY. I HAVE BROUGHT MY CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP AND CALLED THE MANUFACTURE 6 TIMES. THEY SAY IF IT DOESN'T SHOW A CODE THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. THE CAR WHILE DRIVING WILL NOT SHIFT CORRECTLY CAUSING YOU NOT TO BE ABLE TO MOVE AT THE SPEED OF TRAFFIC FOR UPWARDS OF 20 SECONDS AT A TIME.
THE DRIVER SIDE MIRRORS ARE EXTREMELY HIGH ON THE FRAME TO SAFELY SEE WHEN TURNING AT AN INTERSECTION. IT BLOCKS THE VIEW OF THE DRIVER GREATLY. I CONSIDER THIS A HAZARD. IT IS A HUGE OBSTRUCTION OF VIEW, BECAUSE THE DRIVER CANNOT POSSIBLE HAVE A CLEAR VIEW OF INCOMING TRAFFIC SPECIALLY WHEN MAKING A TURN OR PEDESTRIANS. THIS HAS CAUSE AN ACCIDENT WHILE DRIVING IT AT AN INTERSECTION AND DAMAGE ON THE VEHICLE, I WAS DRIVING. THE MIRRORS IN MY OPINION ARE CONSIDER A DESIGN PROBLEM AND IT MUST BE FIX BEFORE IT CAN CAUSE MORE ACCIDENTS AND DISGRACE SOMEONES LIFE .
PURCHASED VEHICLE LAST WEEK / CURRENTLY HAS 200 MILES / STARTED SMELLING WIRES BURNING, TAKING TO DEALERSHIP FOR INSPECTION.
BACKUP CAMERA REMAINS ON WHEN CAR IS PUT IN DRIVE. CAMERA WILL REMAIN ON UNTIL CAR IS SHIFTED OUT OF DRIVE - CAN BE FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. THIS HAPPENS SPORADICALLY, MAYBE ONCE EVERY 2 WEEKS, BUT HAS HAPPENED FOR THE ENTIRE 11 MONTHS WE HAVE HAD THE CAR. NISSAN HAS OFFERED NO SOLUTION. CAUSES MAJOR DISTRACTION WHILE DRIVING.
I REPORTED THE BRAKES BEING NON RESPONSIVE ON 10/23/17 WHICH HAD ALSO CAUSED A MINOR ACCIDENT AS THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A BRIDGE IN WINSTON SALAM NC IN FRONT OF THE BAPTIST HOSPITAL.IT WAS MOVING STOP AND GO AND MAYBE WOULD REACH 35 MPH AND THEN IT WOULDN'T STOP. I HAD BOTH FEET ON THE BRAKES ALSO STANDING UP BUT IT CONTINUED TO COAST INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE SO SLOW I COULD SEE IT COMING BUT THE BRAKES WOULD NOT WORK. IT WAS TOOK INTO THE DEALERSHIP AFTER THE COLLISION REPAIRS AND I WAS TOLD EVERYTHING WAS FINE. SO DURING THIS TIME BETWEEN THEN AND NOW ME AND MY WIFE WAS SCARED OF DRIVING AND WOULD BRAKE AT A FURTHER DISTANCE TO MAKE SURE WE HAD BRAKES. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE ABS CONTROL UNIT AND THE VEHICLE WENT INTO THE SHOP 11/21/18 AND WAS KEPT FOR 9 TO 10 DAYS. NOW WE HAVE BRAKES THAT WORK BUT THE DEALERSHIP SAID THE RECALL WAS FOR A LEAKAGE NOT FOR IT BEING NON RESPONSIVE. I FEEL THAT IF IT LEAKS OR LOSSES PRESSURE IT WOULD BE THE CAUSE OF BEING UNRESPONSIVE ALSO AND IT WOULD BE NISSAN RESPONSIBLY.
MY VEHICLE IS A 2017 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WHEN DRIVING AND COMING TO A STOP, THEN ATTEMPTING TO ENTER TRAFFIC OR CLIMB A HILL, THERE IS NO ACCELERATION. IT HAS A HESITATION WHICH IS VERY CONCERNING WHEN ATTEMPTING TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC. MY VEHICLE ALMOST APPEARS TO SPUTTER OUT. THIS HAS OCCURRED WITH ME SEVERAL TIMES BUT WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY IN THE VEHICLE AT LEAST FOUR TIMES. THE DEALER DID ATTEMPT TO REMEDY THE SITUATION WITH A RECALLED PART ON THE TRANSMISSION, HOWEVER, IT IS STILL HAPPENING. I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE SINCE FEBRUARY 2017, STILL ONGOING.
I HAVE A 2017 NISSAN PATHFINDER LAST MONTH I STARTED TO HAVE PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE WENT ENTERING A HIGHWAY THE VEHICLE BEGINS TO STUTTERS AND SOMETIMES IT HESITATE FOR A FEW SECONDS AND RETURNS TO NORMAL BUT THAT'S CONSTANTLY I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER BUT DID SAID THAT NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE TO KEEP DRIVING UNTIL IT GIVE A CODE IT HAS HAPPEN SEVERAL TIMES AND THE DEALER CANT FIND ANYTHING WHAT'S NEXT WAIT UNTIL THE TRANSMISSION GOES AND I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT NOT FARE
THIS CAR ONLY HAS 244 MILES ON IT. HOWEVER, WHEN I DRIVE IT FOR MORE THAN A FEW MINUTES, I START FEELING A LITTLE DIZZY AND DISORIENTED. ONCE I'M OUT OF THE CAR IN FRESH AIR AGAIN, THE FEELING SLOWLY GOES AWAY. I'M GOING TO CALL THE DEALER (BROWN'S DULLES NISSAN) IN THE MORNING TO GET ON THEIR SCHEDULE AND REQUEST THEY CHECK THE CAR THOROUGHLY, BUT WANTED TO SEE IF NHTSA HAS ANY PREVIOUS COMPLAINTS OR INFORMATION WHICH MIGHT BE HELPFUL. STARTED NOTICING IT LAST WEEK. THE SPEED I'M GOING DOESN'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
THE BACK UP CAMERA WILL GET STUCK WHILE IN DRIVE. YOU CAN BE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND SEE THE ROAD BEHIND YOU MOVING. THE SCREEN ALSO HAS A LOT OF DISTORTION ON IT AT TIMES MAKING IT HARD TO SEE OBJECTS BEHIND YOU. THEY PURPOSE OF A BACK UP CAMERA IS SAFETY. IT IS NOT SAFE TO HAVE A LARGE MOVING SCREEN IN YOUR CAR WHILE YOU ARE TRYING TO DRIVE & LINES & OTHER DISTORTION COULD MAKE OBJECTS (SUCH AS CHILDREN) HARD TO SEE. THE BACK UP CAMERA OCCURS WHEN MOVING AND IN PARK. THE DISTORTION WILL OCCUR WHILE YOU ARE IN REVERSE MOVING OR NOT MOVING. ALL OF THESE THINGS OCCUR INTERMITTENTLY. I HAVE AN EMAIL FROM NISSAN SAYING THEY HAVE NO FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM AND THEY ARE REFUSING TO TAKE THE CAR BACK. THEY DON'T SEE HOW THIS COULD POSSIBLY BE A SAFETY HAZARD (YES, THEY HAVE ACTUALLY TOLD ME THIS). ALSO, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE VIDEO DOCUMENTATION SHOWING THESE EVENTS THEY REFUSE TO FIX IT BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DUPLICATE IT. I DON'T WANT SOMEONE GETTING KILLED BECAUSE OF THIS!
DRIVER SIDE FOG LIGHT BRACKET BROKE, FOG LIGHT FLEW BACK INTO TRANSMISSION COOLER, TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP, THEY STATED THAT THERE WAS NO IMPACT TO THE LIGHT NOR THE VEHICLE, THAT THE 4 METAL CLIPS ON THE BRACKET SOME HOW BROKE OFF AND THAT THEY HAVE NO IDEA HOW THIS COULD HAVE HAPPEN, THEY STATED THEY WERE SENDING THE PART TO NISSAN FOR THEM TO INVESTIGATE AS POSSIBLE FAULTY MATERIAL. THE FOG LIGHT COULD HAVE STRUCK AND DESTROYED THE COOLERS THAT SIT BEHIND IT. THEY REPLACED THE FOG LIGHT HOUSING. VEHICLE WAS BEING PULLED INTO DRIVEWAY WHEN A CLUNKING SOUND WAS HEARD, WHEN CHECKING IS WHEN IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE LIGHT WAS NOT IN THE HOUSING AND WAS LAYING INSIDE THE BUMPER ONLY BEING HELD IN BY THE WIRING
BACK UP CAMERA BLACKS OUT OR DOES NOT SHUT OFF WHEN CAR IS PUT ON DRIVE. THIS CAUSE THE ENTIRE SYSTEM TO SHUT OFF, AIR CONDITIONER, PHONE, AND RADIO.
I RECENTLY BOUGHT A 2017 PATHFINDER. I HAVE OWNED NISSAN PRODUCTS FOR MANY MANY YEARS AND APPRECIATE THE QUALITY AND SAFETY. HOWEVER, MY PATHFINDER HAS WHAT REALLY COULD BE A FATAL FLAW IN THAT THE SIDE MIRRORS, ESPECIALLY THE DRIVERS SIDE ARE TOO HIGH ON THE FRAME TO SAFELY SEE WHEN TURNING.. IT IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM AND A DEFINITE SAFETY HAZARD. IT IS A LARGE OBSTRUCTION OF VIEW AND COULD BE CORRECTED BY PLACING THE MIRRORS LOWER ON THE FAME. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE TAKEN LIGHTLY, IT COULD COST LIVES AND VEHICLE DAMAGE AND COULD BE CORRECTED IN FUTURE DESIGN. WE'VE OWNED OUR 2017 PATHFINDER FOR 27 MONTHS, AND SINCE DAY 1 MY WIFE WHO IS UNDER 5' 1' HAS COMPLAINED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE MIRROR IS BLOCKING HER VIEW WHEN TURNING. SHE CAN'T NATURALLY SEE WHAT'S ON THE LEFT SIDE WITHOUT ADJUSTING HER POSITION. THE SMALLER MURANO HAS A SMALLER MIRROR SIZE SEEMS LIKE A BETTER DESIGN AND I WISH COULD BE RETROFITTED FOR THE PATHFINDER. IT WOULD HELP IF THE SEAT COULD GO HIGHER, WHICH WE'VE FOUND ADDING A SEAT CUSHION HELPS. BUT GENERALLY THIS IS A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS DESIGN THAT COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT.

NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,767. **TR CONSUMER STATED WATER ENTERS THE CAR VIA THE SUNROOF, WHILE CLOSED, AND ACCUMULATES IN A GUTTER TYPE CHANNEL. SOME OF THE WATER DRAINS VIA 2 DRAIN HOLES, HOWEVER SOME OF THE WATER REMAINS PONDING. IT IS WATER WHICH WITH TIME CAUSES A MILDEW SMELL IN THE CAR. I BELIEVE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE MILDEW SPORES WILL ENTER THE BODY AND HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AS A CAUSE OF CERTAIN AILMENTS. WHEN I MET WITH THE NISSAN REPRESENTATIVE AND A NISSAN DEALER SERVICE MANAGER, WE OPENED THE SUNROOF OF A NEW CAR AT THEIR LOT, AND IT HAD PONDING WATER WHICH WILL EVENTUALLY TURN INTO MILDEW. I AM SIMPLY ASKING TO END MY LEASE SO I CAN LEASE ANOTHER CAR WITH NO SUNROOF. I SUFFER FROM ALLERGIES AND THE SMELL IS REALLY AFFECTING ME. UPDATED 10/26/18*JB
