TODAY I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY GOING A STEADY SPEED OF ABOUT 70 MPH FOR ABOUT 30-40 CONSECUTIVE MINUTES. MY 2008 NISSAN ROGUE SL BEGAN TO DECELERATE SLOWLY. I BEGAN TO PRESS GRADUALLY ON THE GAS PEDAL. AS I DID THIS, THE CAR MADE A WEIRD SOUND AS IF IT WAS TRYING TO SHUT OFF. AT THIS POINT MY FOOT WAS PRESSED TO THE FLOOR ON THE GAS PEDAL AND THE CARS RPM WAS GOING AS HIGH AS 4000 BUT THE CAR ITSELF WAS NOT ACCELERATING OVER 50 MPH. ALL OF THIS HAPPENING WHILE I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY AT AROUND 6:30 PM. I COULD HAVE EASILY GOTTEN INTO AN ACCIDENT. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPEN EITHER. A FEW TIMES I HAVE BEEN AT A COMPLETE STOP AT A RED LIGHT OR COMING OFF OF THE HIGHWAY RAMP AND THE CAR WILL TAKE 10-15 SECONDS TO ACCELERATE AND TAKE OFF! THIS IS SERIOUSLY DANGEROUS BUT CAN ALSO BE QUITE ANNOYING FOR THE CAR BEHIND ME. ALL THIS HAPPENING WITH NO WARNING LIGHTS ON MY DASH, I HAVE GOTTEN THE CAR CHECKED OUT BUT TO NO AVAIL NO CODES ARE COMING UP AND MY CAR SEEMS TO BE FINE. I HONESTLY BELIEVE THIS IS A GLITCH IN THE SOFTWARE OR SYSTEM. I HAVE READ MANY COMPLAINTS ON MULITPLE DIFFERENT FORUMS COMPLAINING OF THE SAME ISSUE ON THE SAME MAKE, YEAR AND MODEL! I HONESTLY BELIEVE THIS SHOULD BE RECALLED AND HOPE THAT ONE OF YOUR TECHNICIANS SERIOUSLY LOOK INTO THIS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS SERIOUSLY HURT!
ALL 4 TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS STOPPED WORKING
CURRENT RECALL ON 2008 NISSAN ROUGE FOR SEAT SENSOR AFFECTING AIRBAG. HAD VEHICLE DIAGNOSED WITH A NISSAN DEALER USA. OCCUPANT SEAT SENSOR FAILURE. WAS TOLD THAT THE VIN WASN'T INCLUDED IN THE CURRENT RECALL AND REPAIR WOULD COST OVER $2000 OUT OF MY POCKET.
OPENED MY CAR, STARTED THE CAR, COULD NOT GET OUT OF MY CAR. THE DOORS WOULD NOT OPEN. HAD TO GET OUT THROUGH THE TRUNK AREA. TRIED TO OPEN/CLOSE THE CAR DOOR WITH THE KEY, THE CAR LOCKED AND UNLOCKED AT THE SAME TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY. ON A CITY STREET.
AIR BAG INDICATOR ON DASH FLASHING. FAULT INDICATES THAT THE PASSENGER SEAT HAS A FAULTY SEAT CUSHION SENSOR. DEALER STATED THAT OWNER HAS TO PAY $2,000 TO REPAIR. IN THE MEAN TIME ANY PASSENGER RIDING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT DOES NOT HAVE AIRBAG PROTECTION. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY NISSAN IS NOT REQUIRED TO REPAIR SAFETY ISSUES?
FRONT EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE DOES NOT WORK FROM COLD FROST WEATHER. VEHICLE WAS PARKED. SAME PROBLEM FROM PREVIOUS RECALL IN 2014.
DRIVING ON A BUSY EXPRESSWAY, THERE WAS SUDDENLY A LOUD CLANGING UNDER THE CHASSIS. I STARTED DRIVING SLOWLY AND AGAIN THERE WAS AN EXTREMELY LOUD BANGING AGAINST THE CHASSIS. PULLED OF THE EXPRESSWAY WHEN THE CAR SUDDENLY STARTED SLOWING DOWN. WHEN I STARTED TO PULL INTO THE FIRST MINIMALL I COULD FIND, THE CAR STARTED MOVING BACKWARDS AND NONE OF THE GEARS WOULD WORK. COULD NOT TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE AS THE CAR CONTINUED TO GO REVERSE INTO TRAFFIC. FINALLY AFTER GETTING ASSISTANCE FROM SEVERAL PEOPLE HELPING ME GET THE CAR INTO THE PARKING LOT, I WAS ABLE TO BE TOWED TO MY GARAGE, WHERE IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE DRIVE SHAFT HAD BROKEN OFF, KNOCKING OFF A PIECE OF THE OD SENSOR AND THEN KNOCKED OUT THE EXHAUST PIPE WHICH THEN SNAPPED OFF THE SHIFT ASSEMBLY CABLE AND ALL THE GEARS. MY MECHANIC HAS NEVER SEEN ANYTHING AS BAD AS THIS. THE CAR IS COMPLETELY UNDRIVEABLE AND I SHUDDER TO THINK WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED TO MY FAMILY AND MYSELF AS WE COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. CURRENTLY MY CAR IS STILL AT THE MECHANIC'S WHERE HE IS WAITING FOR A DECISION FROM ME AS TO WHAT TO DO WITH THE CAR WHICH WILL COST $3,000 TO REPAIR WHICH IS WHAT THE TRADE VALUE IS ON THE CAR AND WHAT THE CAR WAS WORTH. NOW IT IS JUNK
VEHICLE RUNS O K AT FIRST, AFTER 6 OR 7 STOPS AT LIGHTS OR STOP SIGNS OR FOR OTHER REASONS, WHEN YOU STEP ON THE GAS THERE IS NO RESPONSE, THE ENGINE IS STILL RUNNING, BUT THE CAR WONT GO, SOMETIMES IT WILL HESITATE AND THEN TAKE OFF QUICKLY, WHICH IS ALSO DANGEROUS.
PASSENGER AIR BAG IS NOT REGISTERING THAT IT IS WORKING PROPERLY. THE LIGHT FLASHES ON AND OFF CONSTANTLY EVEN WHEN THERE IS A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT WITH THE SEAT BELT BUCKLED. IT STAY ON WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION, STATIONARY, ON A CITY STREET, HIGHWAY OR TURNING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE VEHICLE JERKED WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE CONTINUOUS VARIABLE TRANSMISSION FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 136,000.
MY CAR WILL START, SLOWING DOWN WHILE I AM DRIVING. I CALLED NISSAN ON SEVERAL THINGS CONCERNING THIS CAR. NISSAN HAS NOT HAD A RECALL ON THEIR 2008-2010 ROGUE YET. 2008 IS THE 1ST GENERATION OF THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE HAD ENGINE CRADLE PROBLEMS, CONTROL ARM PROBLEMS. THESE CAR MAKERS NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR PRODUCT.
CVT TRANSMISSION FAILURE. AT 86000 MILES. I WAS ON STREET AND HEARD A GRINDING NOISE AND IT JUST POPPED. IT LOST POWER NO ACCELERATION. I LUCKILY COASTED TO A DIRT ROAD WHERE AS SOON AS I TURNED IT STOPPED. WOULD NOT GO. HAD IT TOWED TO DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY'VE HAD FOR 7 DAYS SO FAR. I'M OUT 445$ ON RENTAL CAR SO FAR. THEY PAY FOR TRANSMISSION BUT 300+ OTHER STUFF I HAVE TO PAY. SO I'M OUT 800+ $ FRANKLY I DONT REALLY HAVE. I KNOW COULD BE WORSE BUT THIS IS UNEXPECTED $ I HAD TO PAY PLUS KEEP UP ON REGULAR BILL'S. NOT RIGHT.
AFTER 1HR DRIVING ON HIGHWAY SPEED DROPS TO APPROX 50MPH ALTHO SPEED ODOMETER NEEDLE STAYS 60-70MPH; RPM AT 2 1/2 DOES NOT MOVE. PEDAL TO THE METAL NO REACTION. ONCE APPROACH SLOWER TRAFFIC AREA, SPEED TO LIKE 40MPH CAR DRIVES OK. TOLD IT IS THE FAILSAFE FOR OVERHEATING TRANSMISSION!!
I HAVE JUST RECENTLY NOTICED A BAD VIBRATION WITH MY NISSAN . IT SHAKES LIKE YOUR DRIVING OVER RUMBLE STICKS. EVEN WHEN YOUR AT A FULL STOP AND GIVE IT SOME GAS THE RUMBLE EFFECT HAPPEN RIGHT AWAY FROM A FULL STOP. IDK, WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. PLEASE HELP! ONCE YOU GET UP TO 30 MPH THE VIBRATION GOES AWAY. SLOW DOWN MAKE RIGHT/LEFT TURNS BOOM THE VIBRATIONS OF THE RIMBLE STICKS RIGHT THERE. SOMETHING IS WRONG.
"TAKATA RECALL" I'VE BEEN HEARING MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION ON THESE VEHICLE I NEVER BELIEVED IT UNTIL IT HAPPENED TO ME. I HAVE AN 2008 NISSAN ROGUE AND ONE DAY WHILE DRIVING I HERD A LOUD BANG SOUND AFTER THAT THE VEHICLE STOPED MOVING. COME TO KNOW IT THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEM THAT I HAVE BEEN HEARING HAPPENED TO MY VEHICLE TOO. THE TRANSMISSION IS FROZED UP VEHICLE WONT MOVE AND I CANT AFFORD TO FIX OR EVEN BUY A NEW TRANSMISSION. PLEASE IF POSSIBLE I NEED NISSAN TO CONSIDER THIS AND FIX IT THE VEHILCE ONLY HAS 118,000 MILES AND I NEED MY VEHICLE TO WORK TO TRANSPORT FROM SCHOOL AND WORK.
THE PASSENGER AIR BAG IS MALFUNCTIONING. STAY LIT EVEN WITH ADULT SEATED ON PASSENGER SIDE. DASBOARD BLINKING AIRBAG LIGHT WHILE ENGINE IS ON AND DRIVING
I AM HAVING CVT TRANSMISSION ISSUES. IT STOPS ACCELERATING WHEN ON THE HIGHWAY AND I'M NOT ABLE TO GO FASTER THAT 60 MPH. WHEN I TRY TO ACCELERATE THE RPM METER GOES UP, WHICH ISN'T GOOD. I AM NO LONGER WITHIN 10 YEAR FRAME OF NISSAN'S EXTENDED WARRANTY SO I HAVE TO COME OUT OF POCKET FOR A TRANSMISSION THAT NISSAN KNOWS ISN'T RELIABLE AND WILL FAIL AGAIN. I'M HOPING THAT A RECALL COMES FROM THEM INSTEAD OF AN EXTENDED WARRANTY THAT LEAVES A LOT OF CONSUMERS OUT IN THE COLD. I'M GLAD THIS HAPPENED TO ME CAUSE I KNOW, NEVER, TO BUY A NISSAN VEHICLE.
THE FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT REGISTER IF THERE IS FUEL IN THE TANK, THIS HAS BEEN AN ON-GOING ISSUE FOR MANY MONTHS, AND HAS GRADUALLY GOT WORSE TO THE POINT, THAT WHEN YOU START THE ENJOY IT ALWAYS STARTS AT ZERO. NISSAN HAD A RECALL ON A NUMBER OF OTHER MODELS AND MAKES WITH THE SAME ISSUE, THE ROUGE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THAT RECALL IN 2014. PER THE DIRECTION ON THE LAST RECALL WE ARE ATTEMPTING TO FILL THE TANK BEFORE IT GETS BELOW 50% FULL.
MY PASSENGER SEAT IS NOT REGISTERING AN OCCUPANT AND NOW AIRBAG LIGHT IS FLASHING.
TAKATA RECALL, THE NISSAN I PURCHASED FROM FUCCILLO NISSAN IN LATHAM, NEW YORK, WAS DEFECTIVE WITH EVERY ISSUE, HOWEVER NISSAN REFUSE TO HONOR ANY RECALLS. THEIR MOST RECENT EXTENDED WARRANTY, INDICATES A REPLACEMENT OF THE EVAP CANISTER AND TUBING, HOWEVER UPON ARRIVING AT THE NISSAN DEALER HE TOLD E MY CAR WAS OLD AND IT ONLY COVERS THE TUBE. THE NISSAN MANUFACTURER IS A JOKE, I DEALT WITH A WOMAN WHO LITERALLY FAILED TO INFORM ME THAT NISSAN NEVER REPORTED THAT I WAS THE NEW OWNER OF THE CAR. HENCE LAST YEAR MY CAR LITERALLY ROLLED BACKWARDS WHILE I ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE UP HILL, RIGHT INTO TRAFFIC , POTENTIAL TO BE A DEADLY ACCIDENT , NOTING THE VARIETY OF COMPLAINTS I BELIEVE THAT THEIR WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO DIE. FUCILLO NISSAN REFUSED TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION, INSTEAD THE SEALED IT . TWO WEEKS LATER THE SAME THING HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY, AND OF COURSE THEY REFUSED TO FIX IT TRYING TO EXPLAIN, HOW A CVT TRANSMISSION WORKS, AND THEN HE WENT AS FAR AS SAYING I HAVE TO GET USED TO IT. NISSAN IS A JOKE AND AS LONG AS THEY COULD GET AWAY WITH SELLING DEFECTIVE CARS AND NOT HONORING THEIR VERY OWN RECALLS THEY WILL, BILLY FUCILLO NEEDS HIS LICENCE SNATCHED, THEIR A BUNCH OF CROOKS, WHOM ARE DANGEROUS TO THE PUBLIC.
NISSAN ROGUE 2008 WAS BOUGHT IN 2008 SINCE BEGINNING DURING UPHILL DRIVE IN SUMMER CAR STARTS STALLING ON FREEWAY. THIS PROMPTED NISSAN TO CHANGE CVT ON 10/15/2013 AND AGAIN ON 10/10/15. IT LOOKS LIKE CVT IS GETTING HEATED WITH NO COOLING SUPPORT. ON A HIGHWAY , VEHICLE STARTS LOOSING POWER AND PUTTING OCCUPANT OF THE VEHICLE IN DANGER.

THE ENGINE'S ELECTRICAL MODULE THAT CONTROLS THE HEAD LIGHTS, WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND AND AIR CONDITIONING ELECTRICALLY FAILED WHEN THE CAR WAS IN MOTION DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY IN NORTH CAROLINA. SERIOUS SAFETY PROBLEM. BANISTER NISSAN DEALERSHIP, CHESAPEAKE, VIRGINIA JUST TOLD ME THAT THE NISSAN MANUFACTURING PLANT WILL NOT MAKE AND RELEASE THIS PART FOR REPAIR USE UNTIL A MONTH FROM NOW. WILL HAVE TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE HOME IN DAYLIGHT AND HOPEFULLY, NO RAIN FOR 80 MILES WITH THIS ELECTRICAL ISSUE. CANNOT BELIEVE NISSAN WOULD BE SO CAVALIER ABOUT SUCH A SERIOUS PROBLEM. DEALERSHIP REFUSED TO PRESS OUR CASE WITH NISSAN CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS.

THE NO OCCUPANT AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON EVEN WHEN AN ADULT SITS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT CONSISTENTLY FLASHES WHEN THE KEY IS IN THE IGNITION (ENGINE ON AND OFF). THERE IS CURRENTLY A SIMILAR RECALL BUT I AM TOLD THAT MY VIN IS NOT PART OF THE RECALL.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND DENIED THE CLAIM FOR THE TRANSMISSION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 125,000.
DRIVING BACK FROM SEATTLE AREA, CAR WAS ON HWY 2 IN WASHINGTON STATE, WHEN IT STOPPED FORWARD MOVEMENT. ENGINE STILL RUNNING, BUT NO FORWARD MOVEMENT, AND FLUID AND SMOKE COMMIMG OUT OF REAR END. BARELY GOT TO A SAFE SPOT AND PULLED OVER. CALLED INSURANCE CO. FOR TOW. HAD HOURS OF TRYING TO GET A TOW AFTER HOURS. TOOK CAR (ON A CAR CARRIER ) TO MY MECHANIC. HE DIAGNOSES IT AS TRANSMISSION. HE STATES IT NEEDS A WHOLE NEW TRANSMISSION. HAVE ONLY 117953 MILES ON IT. MAYBE STILL UNDER NISSAN WARRENTY...MAYBE.
AIRBAG LIGHT FLASHING, ONE LONG FOLLOWED BY 5 SHORT BLINKS, INDICATING A DEFECTIVE PASSENGER SEAT AIRBAG SENSOR. IT FLASHES CONTINUOUSLY WHILE THE CAR IS TURNED ON. IT HAS BEEN RESET AND ASSESED BY THE DEALER. OTHER 2008 NISSAN ROGUES HAVE BEEN RECALLED BY MY VIN NUMBER IS NOT INCLUDED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SCOTT CLARK NISSAN IN CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE WAS FAULTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND RECOMMENDED KEEPING THE FUEL TANK ABOVE HALF FULL TO AVOID THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
I PURCHASED A CAR TWO YEARS AGO 2016 I HAD TO PURCHASE A TOUR CONVERTER FOR $3500 REGULATOR I NEED A TRANSMISSION FOR $2500 I'M ON A FIXED INCOME AND I DON'T HAVE THIS KIND OF MONEY TO PUT OUT.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO SEVERAL UNKNOWN DEALERS HOWEVER, EACH DEALER ASKED FOR A DIAGNOSTIC FEE WHICH SHE DECLINED EACH TIME. THE MANUFACTURER HAD YET TO BE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 105,000.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO COURTESY NISSAN (1777 N CENTRAL EXPY, RICHARDSON, TX 75080) WHERE SHE WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON HER VEHICLE AND SHE WAS GIVEN AN ESTIMATE FOR THE REPAIR. THE CONTACT THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO LINKED HER FAILURE TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 08V521000 (AIR BAGS) HOWEVER, HER VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS THEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE WHO ALSO INFORMED HER THAT HER VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN PLACED UNDER RECALL. THEY OFFERED NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 150,000.*DT CONSUMER NOTED VEHICLE WAS A SPECIAL ORDERED ON OCT. 2007.*JB
CURRENT RECALL ON 2008 NISSAN ROUGE FOR SEAT SENSOR AFFECTING AIRBAG. HAD VEHICLE DIAGNOSED AND OPENED A COMPLAINT WITH NISSAN USA. OCCUPANT SEAT SENSOR FAILURE. WAS TOLD THAT THE VIN WASN'T INCLUDED IN THE CURRENT RECALL AND REPAIR WOULD COST OVER $2000 OUT OF MY POCKET.
MY NISSAN ROGUENWAS ONE OF THE FIRST MODELS INTRODUCED IN 2008. SINCE THEN THERE HAVE BEEN A FEW RECALLS THAT MY ROGUE HASN'T BEEN ELIGEABLE FOR. ONE OF MY RECALLS RIGHT NOW IS THE SENSOR IN THE PENDING UNDER THE SEAT FOR THE AIRBAG. THE RECALL SAYS THE SENSOR WILL STILL BE ILLUMINATED WHEN A PASSENGER IS SITTING IN THE SEAT MEANING THAT THE SENSOR FOR THE AIR BAG IS MALFUNCTIONING. HAVE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THE CAR MANUFACTURERS FOR NISSAN AND THEY JUST WON'T HELP AT ALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND OPENED CASE NUMBER: 29763518. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,700.

THE DEALER (FAULKNER NISSAN, 3925 PAXTON STREET, HARRISBURG, PA 17111, (717) 558-8220) PERFORMED SEVERAL DIAGNOSTIC TESTS AND REPAIRS PER TSB: 0918A, SUCH AS REPLACED THE VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY PER A CONSUMER AFFAIRS CASE, REPLACED THE CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (CVT) CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY, ONE COOLANT RING, ONE GASKET, THE OIL PAN SEAL LIP, RESET THE FLUID LEVEL, AND OTHER REPAIRS; HOWEVER, THEY FAILED TO PROVIDE A PERMANENT REMEDY. IN ADDITION, IT WAS STATED THAT THE TSB: 14002A REPAIR OF THE OIL COOLER KIT AND THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT INFORMED THE DEALER THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN THE CVT WARRANTY EXTENSION; HOWEVER, THE DEALER INDICATED THAT THE REPAIRS WERE NOT RELATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND STATED THAT THE DEALER FAILED TO PROVIDE A PERMANENT REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT ISSUED A TRANSMISSION RECALL, BUT ISSUED EIGHT TSBS FOR THE POWER TRAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,449.

MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR JUST STOPPED WORKING/INABILITY TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. PER LOCAL NISSAN SERVICE CENTER, IT IS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE ACCELERATOR. I'VE SEEN THIS PROBLEM COME UP ON SEVERAL ONLINE FORUMS WHEN I GOOGLED NISSAN DRIVER SIDE DOOR RECALL AND IT LOOKS LIKE NISSAN HAD A VOLUNTARY RECALL FOR NISSAN DOOR HANDLES IN THE PAST.
THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT STAYS ILLUMINATED ON THE DASHBOARD CONSTANTLY EVEN WHEN TIRES ARE AT THE RIGHT PRESSURE LEVELS. FIRESTONE IN CHARLOTTE TESTED THE TPMS AND ISOLATED THAT THE DEVICE IS NOT READING/COMMUNICATING WITH THE CENTRAL ELECTRONICS PORTAL THAT IDENTIFIES ANY TIRE ISSUES. THIS HAS BEEN ON-GOING FOR A FEW YEARS, IT WAS SPORADIC TO BEGIN WITH BUT IS NOW A CONSTANT ISSUE AS SHOWING LOW TIRE PRESSURE.

THE CONTACT DID NOT HAVE THE INFORMATION ON THE PART THAT WAS REPLACED. THE REPAIR DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION JERKED AND THE VEHICLE DECELERATED TO 40 MPH. THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED WHILE THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO COAST THE VEHICLE ONTO THE ROAD SHOULDER AND ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE, BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND THEN BACK TO ZIMBRICK NISSAN ON NOVEMBER 10, 2017 WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 85077. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OVER THE REPAIR MILEAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 137,000.
