I AM SCARED TO DRIVE MY ROGUE 2011 AFTER HAVING SEVERAL SERIOUS PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR. THE FIRST INCIDENT HAPPENED IN JANUARY 2012. I JUST PULLED OUT INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC WHEN MY CAR FELT HEAVY AND DRAGGING AS I PUSHED ON THE ACCELERATOR. I WAS PUSHING DOWN HARD ON THE GAS AND THE CAR WAS BARELY MOVING. THEN IT DIED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION. THIS PUT ME IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION. IT WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND REPAIRED. THE SECOND INCIDENT TOOK PLACE 4 DAYS LATER. THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BEFORE THE CAR DIED. I HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIRS AGAIN. ON FEBRUARY 3, 2012 I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND MY CAR BEGAN SHAKING AND VIBRATING. I DROVE SOMEWHERE SAFE AND THEN HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALER. I AM HOPING THE CAR WILL BE RECALLED BECAUSE I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR AND I DON'T HAVE ANY OTHER TRANSPORTATION. THIS IS NOT NORMAL TO HAVE SUCH SERIOUS PROBLEMS WITH A NEW CAR. *TR
I have had this 2011 Rogue in a repair shop 6 times for the same issue and each time the technician replaced the air flow sensor because of “ code reading “ the rogue lost power without warning and stalls at red lights. My most recent repair the technician stated the cruise control spring needed replaced and could be the issues with sudden power loss . I have had the O2 sensor replaced, catalytic converters replaced, starter, alternator and MAS with the problem returning within 3 months . The Rogue is very dangerous and I am filing a complaint in hopes other people do not sink thousands of dollars into a bad vehicle!
THE MIDDLE BACK PASSENGER SEAT BELT RECOILS SO QUICKLY TO CAUSE EYE, FACE AND HEAD INJURIES. BLOWS TO EYES CAUSES SEVERE BRUISING. *KB
THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 NISSAN ROGUE AWL, PURSHCSED NEW FROM MAGUIRE NISSAN LEBANON, PA THE ORIGINAL TIRES ARE DUNLOP SP SPORTS 7000AS LINE SIZEP225/55R18/SL. THE VEHICLE UNDER 10,000 MILES PRODUCED A WHIPPING SOUND WHICH ALTERED IN PITCH WITH THE SPEED OF THE VEHICLE. THESE TIRES WERE ROTATED PER MANUFACUTES INSTRUCTION, ALIGNED AND BALANCED EVERY 5000 MILES. THE CAR WAS TAKEN BACK TO MAGUIRE NISSAN ON THREE OCCASSIONS AT WHICH TIME THEY ACKNOWLEDGED THE TIRES WERE DEFECTIVE . THE NISSAN CORPORATION WAS CONTACTED BY ME AND SO WAS DUNLOP TIRES. THEY ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THREE OF THE TIRES SHOWED BUMPS ON THE TREAD SURFACE, BUT REFUSED TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR POOR MANUFACTURING QUALITY. THEY CLAIMED THE TIRES HAD NOT FAILED; THEREFORE, THEY HAD NO RESPONSIBILITIES TO REPLACE THESE TIRES. THE CAR HAS NOW DONE 33,000 MILES AND THE PROBLEM HAS PROGRESSIVELY WORSENED TO THE EXTENT THE NOISE FROM THE TIRES ARE DEAFENING AND RESULTS IN SEVERE STRAIN AND NOISE FATIGUE WHILE DRIVING. I RECENTLY HAD AN ESTIMATE TO REPLACE ALL 4 TIRES AND THE COST PER WAL MART WOULD BE $964. THE NTSB?S RECORD IN PURSUING THESE CORPORATE CRIMINALS AND ENSURING THE SAFETY OF THE MOTORING PUBLIC HAS AT BEST BEEN INDIFFERENT AND AT WORST COLLUSIVE AND COMPLICIT. DO PEOPLE RECALL THE TIRE FAILURES ON FORD EXPLORES, THE IGNITION SWITCHES DEBACLE IN GMC VEHICLES AND THE ACCELERATOR ISSUES WITH TOYOTA. LET US SEE IF YOU HAVE ANY TEETH OR ARE YOU THE TOOTHLESS WONDERS THAT THE PUBLIC HAVE NOW COME TO BELIEVE YOU ARE?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, HE FELT A VIBRATION THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE ORIGINAL MECHANIC STATED THAT THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG BUT HE WASN'T SURE WHAT THE FAILURE WAS EXACTLY. THE MASTER MECHANIC CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER, WHO ADVISED THAT THE VIBRATION WAS NORMAL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS THEN CONTACTED BY THE OWNER AND A REPRESENTATIVE WAS SENT TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE, WHO ALSO STATED THAT THE VIBRATION WAS NORMAL. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 28,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKES, THE CONTACT PLACED THE GEAR SHIFTER IN PARK AND THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED ABNORMALLY. THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A CONCRETE WALL AND THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED, CAUSING BUMPS AND BRUISES TO THE CONTACT'S LEFT LEG, GROIN AND CHEST AREA. THE POLICE REPORTED TO THE SCENE AND A REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTO BODY SHOP. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED AN ENGINEER WOULD INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,875.
I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK AND HAD ENTERED OUR PARKING LOT AND WAS READY TO PULL INTO A PARKING SPACE. AS I PULLED IN AND WAS AT A STOP , MY CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND I WAS UNABLE TO STOP IT. I STARTED TO TURN THE WHEEL TO THE RIGHT BECAUSE THERE WAS A 2010 FORD EXPLORER THAT WAS PARKED IN FRONT BUT UNFORTUNATELY I HIT THE BACK END OF THE CAR AND PUSHED IT AT LEAST 30 FT DEAD STRAIGHT. MY CAR CONTINUED GOING TO THE RIGHT AND OVER A ISLAND AND BY THE TIME I GOT IT TO STOP THE AIR BAG HAD GONE OFF. I'M NOT SURE HOW THIS HAPPENED SINCE I WAS STOPPED, THERE WERE TWO WITNESSES THAT SAW MY VEHICLE STOPPED AND THE NEXT THING IT ACCELERATED. I KNOW MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE BECAUSE I WAS STOPPED AND READY TO EXIT THE VEHICLE BUT IT WOULD NOT STOP. THIS IS A BRAND NEW CAR ONLY 2 MONTHS OLD WITH A LITTLE OVER 1000 MILES. I HAVE GRANDCHILDREN THAT RIDE WITH ME AND AFTER MY VEHICLE GETS REPAIRED I WOULD BE AFFRAID TO DRIVE THIS. I AM THANKFUL THAT OTHER THAN BRUISES I AM OK AND THAT IT DID NOT HAPPEN ON A MAJOR STREET.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING IN BUMPER TO BUMPER TRAFFIC UPHILL AND HAVING HIS FOOT ON THE BRAKE THE VEHICLE BEGAN ROLLING BACKWARDS. HE APPLIED PRESSURE TO THE BRAKES SEVERAL TIMES BUT IT FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, HE STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING INTO THE GARAGE WITH HIS FOOT ON THE BRAKES THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. HE WAS ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE APPLYING PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND REFERRED HIM TO THE DEALER WHO ADVISED HIM TO HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC TEST PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,030 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 3,078. UPDATED 07/08/11 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ANOTHER DEALER AND THERE WAS NO MATCHING OF CONDITIONS AT WHICH THE DEFECT OCCURRED. IT WAS THE CONSUMERS OPINION THAT THE DIAGNOSTIC TESTING WOULD NOT PICK UP THE DEFECTIVE COMPONENT UNLESS THE OPERATING TEMPERATURE REACHED THE TEMPERATURE THE TIME OF BRAKING RELEASING. ALL THE COMPONENTS THAT CAN RELEASE PRESSURE TO THE PADS SHOULD BE EXAMINED, SUCH AS THE SENSORS, ANTI-LOCK DEVICE, ANTI-SKID DEVICE AND THE DEVICE THAT RELEASES PRESSURE TO THE PADS. THE CONSUMER ALSO BELIEVED THE REASON FOR DEALER NOT FINDING THE DEFECT, WAS BECAUSE THE TIRES WERE OVER-INFLATED BY THE DEALER. UPDATED 08/16/11 UPDATED 08/23/11. *JB THE CONSUMER STATED THE SUDDEN ACCELERATION OCCURRED AGAIN AS HE WAS ENTERING HIS DRIVEWAY. THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED AS HE TOOK HIS FOOT THE ACCELERATOR AND TRIED TO APPLY THE BRAKE ABOUT SIX FEET FROM THE GARAGE DOOR, BUT THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. UPDATED 04/17/12. *JB
SINCE APRIL OF 2011 (VEHICLE WAS 4 MONTHS OLD) I HAVE HAD MY CAR INTO NISSAN FOR AUTO LIGHTS NOT FUNCTIONING (NOT SHUTTING OFF WHEN IN DAYLIGHT), MY IPOD TURNS ON WHEN THE AUDIO IS OFF AND THE ELECTRONIC DRIVER SEAT MOVES FORWARD BY ITSELF. THIS HAS BEEN REPORTED AND "SERVICED" MORE THAN 10 TIMES ALREADY AND EACH TIME IT IS "CANNOT REPRODUCE ALTHOUGH THEY SEE IT HAPPENING. THE LAST INCIDENT WAS SATURDAY, 12/14/12 WHEN THE SETTING ON THE DASH CHANGED BY THEMSELVES AND MY TRUNK WOULD NOT OPEN WITH THE IGNITION ON. ON SUNDAY MORNING, MY CAR ENGINE WAS LOCKED AND MY SMART KEY NOR THE REGULAR KEY WOULD UNLOCK THE STEERING COLUMN. I WAS OUT OF STATE WHEN IT OCCURRED AND HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO A DEALER IN CT, I LIVE IN NY. NOW THEY CLAIM THAT ALL THE ABOVE WAS CAUSED BY A UNDERSIZED BATTERY. THEY INSTALLED A 700AMP IN MY CAR NOW STANDARD BATTERY THAT CAME WITH THE CAR IS 575 AMP. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE? HOW CAN THEY SAY THIS IS THE ISSUE. HOW CAN THEY MANUFACTURE CARS WITH UNDERSIZED BATTERIES AND NOT HAVE IT ON A RECALL OR ISSUES LIST ANYWHERE? EVEN THE DEALER IN CONNECTICUT WAS PUZZLED. I CANNOT SAY IOF THIS IS GOING TO FIX THE PROBLEM, BUT I CAN TELL YOU, I WILL NOT TAKE THIS LYING DOWN. NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS IS TOTALLY USELESS AND THERE IS NO CONSUMER IN THIS DEPARTMENT, THEY ARE A WASTE OF TIME. I FILED TWO COMPLAINTS 8 MONTHS APART REGARDING THE SAME ISSUES # 7274639 AND 10257638. BOTH WENT UNRESOLVED AND IGNORED., THEY KEEP CLAIMING THEY ARE WITHIN THEIR WARRANTY GUIDELINES. WHAT GUIDELINES - THE VEHICLE IS AN OBVIOUS LEMON. NOT SURE HOW TO FILE FOR THE LEMON LAW OR ACT ON THIS AS THIS CAR IS UNSAFE AND UNRELIABLE. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. *TR

I HAVE A 2011 NISSAN ROGUE THAT HAD 1000MI. ON IT & I WAS PULLING OUT OF A PARKING LOT, I GOT INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE LANE BUT THE ROGUE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE & A VEHICLE WAS ON MY BUMPER BEFORE I KNEW IT! IT DID GET UP TO 3,000RPM'S, NO LOUD NOISE. IT WAS QUITE SCARY. ABOUT A WK. LATER IT DID A SIMILAR THING BUT LESS NOTICEABLE & I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP & THE SVC. PERSON DID A DIAGNOSTIC ON IT & IT SHOWED NOTHING, SO HE TOLD ME THAT THE NEXT TIME IT DID IT TO DRIVE IT TO A DEALERSHIP BUT IF I FELT UNSAFE TO CALL THEM & THEY WOULD PICK ME UP. I HAVE NOT DRIVEN IT FOR A LONG DISTANCE & I AM AFRAID TO DO SO. THE FEAR IS THAT I AM AFRAID THAT SOMEONE WILL HAVE TO DIE BEFORE THEY DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SCARY SITUATION. *TR
