TAKATA RECALL AIR BAG HAZARDOUS. LIGHT IS ON ON PASSENGER SIDE INDICATING TROUBLE. ALSO, THE VEHICLE SEEMS TO LOOSE POWER DURING ACCELERATION WHILE IN MOTION.
I PURCHASED MY 2016 NISSAN ROGUE AT THE END OCT OF 2016. SO I'VE OWNED IT FOR 17 MONTHS AND IT HAS APPROX 24K MILES. UP UNTIL FEB 24TH, 2018, I HAD NO ISSUES SAVE FOR EXTRA RATTLE-Y DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW. ON THAT DATE IT WAS TAKEN IN FOR REGULAR MAINTENENCE (OIL/ROTATION/BALANCE). SINCE THAT TIME THE CAR IS NOT HANDLING WELL, AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A WINDY DAY OR IT WAS SLIPPERY ROAD DUE TO RAIN, BUT AS TIME WENT ON, THE CAR SEEMED WOBBLY/BOUNCY ON IT'S WHEELS (40+ MPH) AND WOULD BEGIN TO SLIP/SLIDE/SKIP OUT OF THE LANE (60+ MPH) I'M DRIVING IN. I AM ABLE TO CORRECT FOR IT BUT IT'S SCARY TO DRIVE AND FEELS LIKE IT'S GETTING PROGRESSIVELY WORSE. I HAVE ALSO NOTICED THE CAR FEELS LIKE IT'S STRUGGLING TO GO UP SMALL HILL (30 MPH) AND WHEELS/TIRES DON'T SEEM TO BE GRIPPING THE ROAD EVENLY. I HAVE TAKEN BACK TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE AGREED SOMETHING IS WRONG AND IT'S NOT A TIRE BALANCE OR ALIGNMENT TYPE OF ISSUE. THUS FAR I'VE ONLY BEEN TOLD IT'S NOT SAFE FOR ME TO DRIVE, POSSIBLY AXLE OR DRIVETRAIN ISSUE. AT THIS TIME THEY HAVE PROVIDED A SUBPAR LOANER AND ARE STATING THAT THE REPAIRS WILL BE UNDER WARRANTY. HOWEVER, I AM HUGELY CONCERNED THAT SOMETHING OF THIS MAGNITUDE IS ALREADY BECOME AN ISSUE. AT THIS POINT, I DON'T WAN'T THE CAR ANYMORE. ONCE THEY HAVE MADE REPAIRS, I AM FORTUNATE THAT I CAN PROBABLY AFFORD TO JUST TRADE IN AND GET A NEW (NOT NISSAN AGAIN EVER) CAR. BUT I FEEL CONCERNED IF SOMEONE ELSE WERE TO PURCHASE MY TRADE IN AS A USED CAR NOT KNOWING THE POTENTIAL HIDDEN SAFETY ISSUES THAT MAY (LIKELY) ARISE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BLOWER MOTOR IN THE VEHICLE DID NOT WORK AND SHE WAS UNABLE TO SEE THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD DURING COLD TEMPERATURES. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED BEFORE OR AFTER THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KRENZEN HONDA NISSAN LINCOLN (2500 MALL DR IN DULUTH, MD) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED, BUT THE DIAGNOSIS WAS UNDETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,600.
THE OWNER'S MANUAL FOR THE 2016 NISSAN ROGUE NOTES THE ABILITY TO INSTALL CAR SEATS IN BOTH THE OUTBOARD AND CENTER SEATING POSITIONS OF THE SECOND ROW OF THE VEHICLE. WHILE THERE ARE NO LATCH HOOKS FOR THE CENTER POSITION, THERE IS A CEILING-MOUNTED HOOK AND DIRECTIONS IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL FOR USE OF LAP BELTS TO SECURE A SEAT IN THE CENTER POSITION (SECTION 1-43). NISSAN, HOWEVER, HAS A SEPARATE RELEASE FOR ALL OF THEIR VEHICLES CALLED "SNUG KIDS' AND DENOTES WHICH CAR RESTRAINTS, CALLED CRSS, FUNCTION PROPERLY IN THEIR VEHICLES. FOR THE 2014-2017 NISSAN ROGUE, THE SNUG KIDS DOCUMENTATION FROM NISSAN SPECIFICALLY NOTES: "IMPORTANT NOTE FOR 2ND ROW INSTALLATION: WE DO NOT RECOMMEND INSTALLING ANY CRS IN THE CENTER SEATING POSITION." THIS CONTRADICTS CAR SEAT INSTALLATION DIRECTIONS FOUND IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL. I LEASED THIS VEHICLE WITH THE NEED TO PUT THREE CARS SEATS, OR CRSS, INTO MY CAR AND LEASED A 2016 NISSAN ROGUE BASED UPON THE INFORMATION PROVIDED IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL. THE "SNUG KIDS' DOCUMENTS RELEASED BY NISSAN CONTRADICT THE MANUAL AND I THEREFORE LEASED THIS VEHICLE UNDER FALSE/INACCURATE/MISLEADING INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE MANUFACTURER. CLEARLY, NISSAN HAS UNCOVERED A SAFETY ISSUE WITH PLACING A CRS IN THEIR VEHICLE BUT NO RECALL EXISTS. FURTHER, NISSAN SEEMS UNWILLING TO HELP OWNERS WHO REPORT THIS ISSUE. I REPORTED THIS ISSUE, INCIDENT #29652572, AND NISSAN HAS DECLINED TO PROVIDE A SOLUTION. I WOULD LIKEN THIS ISSUE TO THE RECENT EMISSION ISSUES SURROUND VOLKSWAGEN WHERE THE VEHICLES WERE SOLD UNDER INACCURATE SPECIFICATIONS PROVIDED FROM THE MANUFACTURER. I AM ATTACHING COPIES OF BOTH THE OWNER'S MANUAL AND THE "SNUG KIDS" RELEASE. I HOPE THAT THIS REPORT TRIGGERS AN INVESTIGATION WHICH LEADS TO ACTION BY NISSAN/A RECALL OF THE NISSAN ROGUE.
MY SEAT BELT WILL NOT COME OUT TO SECURELY BUCKLE IN MY PASSENGERS. I WENT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE SEAT FRAMEWORK WHICH IS PINCHING THE SEATBELT.
MY VEHICLE SHOT DOWN AT A STOP LIGHT. AFTER RESTARTING IT THREE TIMES, IT STARTED. THEN A FEW YARDS AWAY I WAS MAKING A RIGHT TURN AND AS I DID THE VEHICLE PULLED ACROSS THE ROAD TO THE LEFT LANE. I THEN REGAINED CONTROL OF IT.
THE VEHICLE WAS RECENTLY INVOLVED IN TWO SEPARATE ACCIDENTS INVOLVING THE VECHILE SUDDENLY ACCELERATING IN REVERSE . THE FIRST INCIDENT THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK AND AFTER REVERSE WAS ENGAGED THE A LOUD WHISTLING SOUND WAS HEARD AND THE VEHICLE AT FULL THROTTLE EXCELERATED IN REVERSE.
I SEE 5 RECALLS FOR MY CAR BUT I GET LETTER FROM THE MANUFACTURER FOR 2 RECALL BUT I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS OTHER THREE. AFTER I GET THE LETTER I WENT TO THE DEALER AND THE FIXED THE AIR BAGS. AS SOON AS I DRIVE THE CAR 10 MILES, THE SAME THING HAPPEN AGAIN PASSENGER SITE AIR BAG SIGN ALWAYS SHOW UP. 2016 CAR NOT COOLING PROPERLY ONLY THE FAN RUNNING IN THE CAR WHEN I TURN ON A/C.
THE HOOD VIBRATES UNCONTROLLABLY WHEN TRAVELING AT HIGHER SPEEDS. IT IS WORSE WHEN BEHIND TRUCKS. I WOULD THINK THE OLDER IT GETS THAT ONE DAY THE HOOD WILL MOVE MORE AND THE SAFETY WILL GIVE WAY ALLOWING THE HOOD TO OPEN
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE IT CUT OFF AND A GOT A MESSAGE STATING TO CHECK THE CHASSIS CONTROL SYSTEM ERROR. IT WAS TAKEN TO DEALER ON FRIDAY DECEMBER 29, INITIALLY THEY SAID AFTER RUNNING NUMEROUS TEST THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG SO THEY GAVE ME THE KEYS AND AS SOON AS I DROVE OFF IT DID AGAIN, I IMMEDIATELY WENT BACK AND THEY WERE ABLE TO SEE THE MESSAGE . THEY KEPT THE VEHICLE AND CALLED ME TO INFORM ME THAT THEY WOULD BE PUTTING A NEW CONTROLLER IN THE VEHICLE. ON TUESDAY JAN 2 I WAS TOLD MY CAR WAS READY, I PICKED IT UP DROVE HOME WITH NO PROBLEM. ON JAN 3 I DROVE TO AND FROM WORK WITH NO PROBLEM. AT APPROXIMATELY 700 AS I WAS GETTING READY TO GO TO CHURCH I TURNED THE CAR ON THEN ALL OF SUDDEN THE LIGHTS STARTED FLASHING AND IT WOULDN'T MOVE OR TURN OFF, I ALSO GOT THE MESSSGE AGAIN. MY BOYFRIEND DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY SO THAT I WOULD BE ABLE TO TURN THE CAR OFF. TOMORROW JAN 4 I WILL BE GETTING IT TOWED BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP .
FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG DISABLED LIGHT INTERMITTENTLY TURNS ON, INDICATING AIR BAG IS DISABLED, WHILE THAT SEAT IS OCCUPIED. THIS OCCURS WHILE IN MOTION, AND AT ANY ARBITRARY TIME OR SPEED. THERE IS A SIMILAR RECALL ON THIS, BUT EVIDENTLY THIS VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED, AS IT IS LISTED AS NO RECALLS.
I KEPT HEARING A LOUD CLICKING OR POPPING NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE CAR WHEN TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT TO MANEUVER IN AND OUT OF PARKING SPACES. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER ONLY TO BE TOLD IT WAS A BENT PIECE OF METAL BY A ROTOR. I DROVE THE CAR FROM THE DEALER STILL HEARING THE POPPING NOISE. I CALLED NISSAN USA AND GOT A CASE NUMBER. THE NOISE GOT LOUDER SO I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER ON 12/16/17. THE DEALER TOLD ME IT WAS THE ENTIRE FRONT SUSPENSION THAT HAD TO BE REPLACED. MILES ON THE CAR ARE APPROXIMATELY 24,000 AND COVERED UNDER THE 36,000-MILE WARRANTY. I AM GLAD THE CAR IS FIXED BUT I AM CONCERNED THAT A $35,000 VEHICLE IS REQUIRING SUCH MAJOR WORK WHEN ONLY A YEAR AND A HALF OLD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THE SUN ROOF LEAKED A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF WATER INTO THE VEHICLE. SCOTT CLARK NISSAN IN CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH ON A CITY STREET JUST STARTING TO MOVE FORWARD FROM BEING STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT, THE REAR WINDOW SUDDENLY SHATTERED. THE MILEAGE WAS SLIGHTLY OVER 19,000 MILES. THE CAR IS 23 MONTHS IN TO A 36 MONTH LEASE. NOTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY WAS HAPPENING THAT DAY, CLEAR SKIES AND 50 DEGREES. NISSAN CLAIMS SINCE IT ISN'T A "MANUFACTURERS RECALL" ITEM IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER FULL WARRANTY. SINCE IT IS A LEASE, I MUST USE NISSAN CLASS WHICH IS ALMOST 3 TIMES AS EXPENSIVE AS GLASS FROM A THIRD PARTY. TO TOP IT OFF, I HAVE DRIVING IN A RENTAL CAR FROM THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE LAST 7 DAYS AT $35 PER DAY. NISSAN FINALLY CALLED ME BACK (7 DAYS LATER).

A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN REPAIRED BUT 3 MONTHS LATER, THE FAILURE STILL OCCURRED. THE CONTACT STATED NO WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO STAR NISSAN (20602 NORTHERN BLVD, QUEENS, NY 11361) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH NOTHING NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WANTED A SECOND OPINION AND TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS ALSO DIAGNOSED WITH NOTHING NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THEY COULD NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 25,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

AS I WAS TRAVELLING ON A MAJOR FREEWAY, MY BRAND NEW 2016 NISSAN ROGUE BEGAN TO FEEL LIKE IT WAS "JUMPING." AT THAT POINT I NOTICED MY RPMS WERE HIGH FOR THE SPEED I WAS GOING. NOT EVEN 30 SECONDS AFTER, MY CAR COMPLETELY STALLED. I WAS IN THE FAST LANE OF THE FREEWAY AND BARELY HAD TIME TO REACT. I ENDED UP STUCK ON THE MEDIAN OF THE FREEWAY. I ENDED UP HAVING THE CAR TAKEN TO THE DEALER DOWN THE ROAD. THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. I REFUSED TO DRIVE IT AND BEGAN SEEKING FURTHER HELP THROUGH NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS. AFTER NEARLY A MONTH, AN ENGINEER FROM NISSAN TOOK 5 MINUTES TO LOOK AT IT AND NOTICED THE TRANSMISSION WAS SLIPPING. THE PREVIOUS WEEK BEFORE THIS MAJOR INCIDENT, THE CAR IS STALLED A FEW BLOCKS FROM MY HOME ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET AFTER ACCELERATING FROM A COMPLETE STOP. THE DEALERSHIP HAD TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT AND IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE. NOW HERE WE ARE 2 MONTHS LATER, AND IT FEELS AS IF THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING AGAIN.
AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, I HEARD A LOUD POP, LIKE A GUNSHOT AND SUDDENLY THE GLASS FROM MY SUNROOF WAS FALLING ON ME. I HAD A HOLE IN THE SUNROOF AND THE GLASS WAS FALLING ON ME WHILE DRIVING. NOTHING HIT MY CAR, IT JUST EXPLODED RANDOMLY- I HAD NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED. I CALLED 911, POLICE CAME,AND LATER HAD THE SUNROOF REPLACED
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS REVERSING THE VEHICLE IN AND OUT OF THE GARAGE, A POPPING NOISE WAS HEARD UNDERNEATH THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE FLOORBOARD. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FENTON NISSAN OF KNOXVILLE (4515 CLINTON HWY, KNOXVILLE, TN 37912, 865-687-6111), BUT THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE SOUND. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES AND WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROMISED TO CALL THE CONTACT BACK. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 23,000. *TT
A/C LINE INSTALLED DIRECTLY ABOVE ALTERNATOR. ON EXTENDED DRIVING TRIPS WITH A/C OPERATING AT MAXIMUM, CONDENSATION/MOISTURE ATTACHED TO LINE DRIPS FROM LINE ONTO ALTERNATOR CAUSING BATTERY LIGHT ON DASHBOARD TO FLICKER MOMENTARY. THIS PROBLEM OCCURS PERIODICALLY AND THE DEALER/NISSAN IS NOT ACKNOWLEDGING THE MALFUNCTION BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIP CANNOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE WHEN TECHNICIAN RUNS A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. I INSTALLED INSULATION BOUGHT AT LOWE'S AND THE PROBLEM CEASED TO OCCUR. I THEN REMOVED THE INSULATION AND THE MALFUNCTION OCCURRED AGAIN (REPEATEDLY). I REINSTALLED INSULATION AND MALFUNCTION CEASED. TAKING THAT ACTION AND THE RESULT IS EVIDENCE THAT THE PROBLEM IS A DESIGN FLAW. I REQUESTED THAT NISSAN INSTALL PREFABRICATED INSULATION AS SEEN ON THE 2006 HONDA CRV WHICH HAS THE SAME A/C LINE CONFIGURATION, INSTALLED ABOVE THE ALTERNATOR. THAT IS TO PREVENT ALTERNATOR BEING RENDERED INOPERATIVE FROM CONSTANT MOISTURE INFUSION.
WE PURCHASED OUT 2016 NISSAN ROGUE IN FEBRUARY OF 2017. IT ONLY HAS ~14K MILES ON IT AND THE ROTORS HAVE ALREADY WARPED. WE TOOK IT TO GAINESVILLE NISSAN AND ALL THEY DID WAS TURN THE ROTORS AND STATE THAT NISSAN DOES NOT CONSIDER THE ESSENTIALLY NEW ROTORS TO BE FAULTY. THE WEBSTER'S DICTIONARY DEFINITION OF FAULTY IS AS FOLLOWS: MARKED BY FAULT OR DEFECT :IMPERFECT. THE ROTORS ARE ESSENTIALLY NEW AND TURNING THEM VERY MUCH LIMITS THE LIFETIME OF THE PART. THE ROTORS AND PADS SHOULD BE REPLACED TO MAKE SURE WE ARE SAFE. THERE IS NO REASON FOR THESE LOW MILEAGE ROTORS TO HAVE WARPED. HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE ARE IN THIS SITUATION?
TL* THE CONTACT LEASED A 2016 NISSAN ROGUE. THE DRIVER STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED TO FUNCTION PROPERLY. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AND SUGGESTED THAT IT BE SERVICED BY THE DEALER WHO SOLD THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HESITATED AND THE GEARS WERE DIFFICULT TO SHIFT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (HILLTOP NISSAN, 258 NJ-10, EAST HANOVER, NJ 07936, (973) 887-5400) WHERE THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED TWICE, BUT INDICATED THAT IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED A THIRD TIME. THE DEALER WAS UNCERTAIN IF THEY COULD OFFER A LOANER VEHICLE UNTIL THE FAILURE WAS REMEDIED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000.
NISSAN'S INTELLIGENT KEY SYSTEM AUTOMATICALLY LOCKS THE CAR WHEN A DOOR IS SHUT, EVEN THOUGH THE KEY IS INSIDE. WE HAVE HAD THIS HAPPENS TWO TIMES THIS WEEK. MAYBE THE LATEST VERSION OF THEIR CAR SOFTWARE? WE JUST GOT THAT UPDATED. MY WIFE UNLOCKS ALL DOORS, OPENS PASSENGER CAR DOOR, PUTS PURSE WITH SMART KEY IN PASSENGER SEAT, SHUTS DOOR, OPENS REAR PASSENGER SEAT DOOR, PUTS SON IN CAR SEAT, SHUT DOOR AND BOOM, CAR LOCKS ITSELF. TWO TIMES. FIRE DEPARTMENT HAD TO COME.
ON 8/28/2017, I WAS DRIVING ON CALIFORNIA RT. 395 SOUTH WHILE THE RENTAL CAR I WAS IN, NISSAN ROGUE 2016, WENT OFF HIGHWAY INTO THE DESERT ON A SPEED 65MPH. I ENDED UP INJURED, WITH BROKEN VERTEBRA, AND CURRENTLY ON LONG TERM DISABILITY. I WAS THE ONLY PERSON IN A CAR; WAS TAKEN TO BARSTOW COMMUNITY HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE. AS I EXAMINE THIS ACCIDENT IN MY MEMORY, I CANNOT RECALL ANY MISTAKES IN DRIVING ON MY PART . ALL OF A SUDDEN, I COULD NOT STEER, SO CAR WENT OFF HIGHWAY. THE OWNER OF THE CAR IS ENTERPRISE RENTAL; THE CAR WAS TOTALED. SINCE THEN, I WAS CONTACTED BY ELCO WHO CONTACTED NISSAN, AND NISSAN PROVIDED AN INSPECTION, FINDING NO PROBLEMS (SEE ATTACHED; I WAS NOT PRESENT.) I ALSO HAVE A REPAIR ESTIMATE FROM MOHAVE BODY (ATTACHED). PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: 1. POLICE REPORT IS PARTIALLY INCORRECT. THERE ARE TOO MANY INCONSISTENCIES, INCLUDING THE NAME OF THE PERSON FOUND RESPONSIBLE, AND THE MAKE OF HIS CAR. POLICE REPORT CANNOT BE ATTACHED DUE TO THE SIZE LIMITATION; YOU CAN PULL IT OUT USING ACCIDENT REPORT CARD (ATTACHED.) TO MY KNOWLEDGE, THERE WERE NO DIRECT WITNESSES, SOMEONE SAW IT FROM FAR AWAY. ADDITIONALLY, THE INTERIOR BACK SEAT HEADRESTS BLOCK ALL WINDOWS THAT WOULD NORMALLY BE USED FOR VISUAL SEARCHING. AS A BUYER, I WAS NOT WARNED THAT THE SYSTEM HAS A VERY MINIMAL USE. IT TOOK TWO ACCIDENTS BEFORE I FOUND ITS LIMITATIONS BURIED IN THE MANUAL. THE SYSTEM IS VERY DANGEROUS SINCE MARKETING IMPLIES THAT IT PROTECTS FROM BACKING UP WHEN IT DOES NOT. THE REST OF THE LIGHT WOULD APPEAR TO BE TINTED. IF THE HIGH BEAMS WERE TURNED ON YOU WOULD HAVE MORE LIGHT ON THE OBJECT IN FRONT OF THE ROGUE. THE MAIN PROBLEM IS WHEN THE ROGUE IS HEADED DOWN HILL. THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL WOULD BE LIT UP BUT THE AREA DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE ROGUE WOULD BE LIKE A BLACK HOLE ESPECIALLY IF TRAVELING ON AN UNLIT COUNTRY ROAD. AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. I RETURNED TO DEMO THIS CONDITION TO THE NISSAN DEALER WHO CONFIRMED MY FEELINGS ABOUT THE HEADLITES. I THEN REPORTED THE SAME INFO TO NISSAN WHO TOOK MY COMMENTS BUT DID NOT INDICATE WHETHER ANYTHING WOULD BE DONE. MY NISSAN ROGUE TAIL GATE AND WINDOW ARE LEAKING AND MY CAR NOW IS SOURED, MILDEWED, AND SMELLS LIKE SOMETHING HAS DIED. I NEED THIS TO BE FIXED PLEASE, IT IS STARTING TO MAKE ME SICK WHEN I HAVE TO GO ANYWHERE. IT SEEMS TO GET WORSE DAY BY DAY AND IT DOESN'T MATTER IF IT IS MOVING OR SITTING STILL. FROM WHAT I CAN TELL IT HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE I FIRST BOUGHT IT, NOV. 2016, BUT IT HAS BEEN CONSTANTLY RAINING SO IT HASN'T HAD THE CHANCE TO DRY.
