WHILE ON CITY STREETS, TRYING TO COME TO A STOP I APPLIED THE BREAKS AND NOTHING HAPPENED, I THEN HAD TO LET OFF THE PEDAL AND REAPPLY PRESSURE TO BRING THE CAR TO A STOP. I TOOK THE CAR INTO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND THEY REFUSED TO LOOK AT THE CAR BECAUSE I HAVE HAD IT IN TO HAVE THE BREAKS, ENGINE HESITATION, EXTENDED ENGINE CRANK, AND AN A/C PROBLEM FIXED 6 TIMES IN 5 MONTHS. NISSAN HAS A TSB OUT FOR AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM THAT HAS THEM RESET THE COMPUTER BUT IT DOES NOT FIX ANY ISSUES. NISSAN TOLD ME TO GET THE PROBLEMS TO STOP I NEED TO CYCLE THE KEY. WHEN I ASKED WHAT THAT MEANT THEY SAID TO STOP THE CAR, PUT IT IN PARK, TURN THE CAR OFF, AND TURN IT BACK ON. I SAID EVEN IF IT HAPPENS WHEN I AM DRIVING AT 70 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY? THEY SAID YES.

THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A BROKEN FOOT THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED BY A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 2,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
MY ROUGE HAS HAD VIBRATION PROBLEMS SINCE MY FIRST OIL CHANGE. I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW IN DEC.. 2017. TODAY 10/ 26/ 2018 I SMELL SOMETHING BURNING THREW MY VENTS, & WHEN IT RAINS OR THE AIR IS DAMP MY BRAKES WHISTLE. IS A NEW CAR NEW ANYMORE? PLEASE MAKE NEW, NEW. NO SURE ON DATES. & MILES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS ATTEMPTING TO ENTER THE PARKED VEHICLE, IT ROLLED AWAY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED BRUISES AND LACERATIONS FROM THE TIRES, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CONYERS NISSAN (LOCATED AT 1420 IRIS DR SW, CONYERS, GA 30094, (678) 233-2448) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MECHANIC ONLY CHECKED THE FLUID LEVELS IN THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THERE WOULD BE NO ADDITIONAL INSPECTION PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE. A SECOND OPINION WAS SOUGHT AT STONE MOUNTAIN NISSAN (LOCATED AT 4275 US-78, LILBURN, GA 30047, (866) 436-2310) WHO ALSO STATED THAT A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WOULD NOT BE PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT A TECHNICIAN WOULD BE SENT TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE, AND THE RESULTS COULD TAKE UP TO SIX WEEKS. TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2017 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUFFERED INJURIES TO THE LEFT KNEE THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE INJURY TURNED OUT TO BE A TORN MENISCUS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL BODY SHOP WHERE IT WAS PENDING INSPECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 26,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL SEVERAL TIMES AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO DRIVE NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (ADVANTAGE NISSAN, 939 OLD COUNTRY RD, WESTBURY, NY 11590) WHERE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. IN THE INTERIM, THE DEALER OFFERED THE CONTACT A LOANER VEHICLE FOR AN UNSPECIFIED PERIOD OF TIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000. *TT THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS BOUGHT BACK BY THE MANUFACTURER AS A LEMON. *JS
WHEN I PRESS ON THE GAS TO GO, MY DRIVE SEAT FLOPS BACKWARDS AND FORWARDS LIKE I WAS BALANCING ON A BALL. IT HAPPENS EVERY DAY AT EVERY STOP LIGHT. THE MOST RECENT EVENT WAS TODAY 4/25/18.
WHILE DRIVING ACROSS AND PARTICULAR SET OF INLAID RAILROAD TRACKS, THE ROGUE BEEPS AT ME AND THEN SLOWS DOWN OR SOMETIMES STOPS DUE TO THE FORWARD EMERGENCY BRAKE (FEB) FEATURE. THIS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE I FIGURED OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON. I'VE TAKEN THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND THEY CANNOT FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG. I'VE SINCE RESORTED TO TURNING OFF THE FEATURE WHILE DRIVING TO AVOID HAVING MY CAR STOP SUDDENLY. HOWEVER, THIS PAST WEEKEND AFTER FORGETTING TO TURN THE FEATURE OFF (WHICH YOU HAVE TO DO EVERY TIME YOU START THE CAR), MY FEB DEPLOYED AS WELL AS THE ABS LIGHT, THE SLIP LIGHT, AND THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT IN A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD WHEN NOTHING WAS IN THE ROAD. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MOVE THE CAR TO SAFETY, THE FEB KEPT ON SLOWING ME DOWN AND THE BRAKES FELT AS IF THEY WERE GRINDING THE ENTIRE DRIVE. I TRIED TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND ON MULTIPLE TIMES TO SEE IF THE SYSTEM WOULD RESET ITSELF, BUT IT WOULDN'T. I CALLED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP, WHERE IT CURRENTLY STILL IS. THEY HAVE YET TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IS GOING ON. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME IN THE DEALERSHIP WITH NO RESOLUTION YET.
MY PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON SAYING IT'S OFF AND IT'S BEEN HAPPENING FOR AWHILE NOW.
I WAS TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE APPROXIMATELY 72 TO 74 MILES PER HOUR WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP AND I IMMEDIATELY LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. MY FIRST REACTION WAS TO PRESS THE BRAKES. I THEN WAS THROWN INTO THE MEDIAN AND HIT THE GUARDRAIL AND ALL OF THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. I HAD TO SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. *DSY
OUR ROGUE HAS THE FRONTAL BRAKE FEATURE. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, UNDER RANDOM SITUATIONS IT HAS STARTED BEEPING AND SLOWING DOWN AND EVEN STOPPING FOR NO APPARENT REASON WHILE DRIVING. I DROPPED IT OFF AT THE DEALER TO SEE IF THEY FIND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS!!! WE CAN GET REAR ENDED WHILE TRAVELING IN THE HIGHWAYS. WE DRIVE WITH OUR CHILDREN OFTEN!!!! ON A LESSER NOTE, THERE IS A CONSTANT CLICKING ON THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT , ALMOST LIKE THE SEAT DOES NOT LOCK. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER IN DECEMBER 2017 BUT THEY COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM.
SINCE PURCHASING THE NAMED VEHICLE IN SEPTEMBER 2017 BRAND NEW IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR REPAIRS A TOTAL OF 8 TIMES AND IS NOW SITTING AT THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE I REFUSE TO GET BACK INTO THE VEHICLE. THE CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS CONCERNING THE BRAKES. SEVERE AMOUNTS OR BRAKE DUST, BRAKES SQUEALING AND GRINDING. ROUGH IDLE, VIBRATION AND VEERING TO THE RIGHT. DUPLICATED AND FOUND CAUSE ENGINE MOUNTS MISALIGNED AND VACUUM HOSE WAS RATTLING. ALSO HAD TO ADJUST THE BASE IDLE. BRAKE DUST AGAIN. CUP HOLDER DISASSEMBLED FROM THE ARMREST. COLLISION SENSOR WARNING LIGHT MALFUNCTION CAME ON WITHOUT JUSTIFIABLE CAUSE. MANUFACTURER DEFECT WITH THE FRONT GRILL (WARPED) DUPLICATED. THE ENTIRE GRILL WAS REPLACED. CHIRPING IN THE WINDOW. DUPLICATED AND THE SURFACE AREA WAS CLEANED WHICH OCCURRED AGAIN. DETECTED IT WAS THE SEATBELT HARNESS. THE CAR HAD A POPPING NOISE WHEN TURNING AND IN REVERSE. DUPLICATED COMING FROM THE MOUNT. INSTALLED NEW COIL, MOUNT BOOT, AND DAMPENER. SEVERAL ISSUES HAVE OCCURRED AND THERE'S MORE. THIS VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE NEITHER RELIABLE. EACH OF THE ISSUES OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING ON THE STREET, HIGHWAY AND WHILE TURNING. I HAVE OVER 30 PAGES OF SERVICE ORDERS. TOO MANY TO UPLOAD. I WILL UPLOAD A FEW IMPORTANT TO SHOW PROOF.
2017-NISSAN ROGUE SPORT; DRIVING ON HWY 41, THE ROGUE LOSES POWER/POWER FAILURE AND ALMOST COMES TO A COMPLETE STOP. THE ROGUE THEN COMES BACK UP AND CONTINUES UP HWY 41. THE REAR STOP LIGHTS DID NOT COME ON WHEN THE POWER WENT DOWN. I WAS ON A 5 LANE HWY AND COULD HAVE BEEN HIT FROM BEHIND. ALSO, WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE CAR SINCE I WAS IN THE MIDDLE LANE. IN SPEAKING WITH THE DEALERSHIPS, THIS APPEARS TO BE A KNOWN ISSUE. I TOOK IT TO AUTONATION NISSAN THEY KEPT IT FOR TWO DAYS. WHEN I PICKED THE ROGUE UP FROM THEIR CALL, IT DID NOT AND HAS NOT DRIVEN THE SAME; I EXPLAINED THIS TO THE TECH. WHEN HE TEST DROVE IT WITH US, HE GUNNED IT GOING UP A HILL, THE ENGINE JUST RACED, THE CAR DID NOTHING. HE IMMEDIATELY TURNED TO A DOWNHILL RD AND TOOK THE CAR BACK TOT THE DEALERSHIP. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE WHICH I'VE BEEN THROUGH THIS BEFORE WITH NISSAN. EVERYONE AT THE DEALERSHIPS WANTS TO SAY AND TALK ABOUT ELECTRICAL ISSUES, FIRST THING THE CHECK. I SPOKE WITH A PERSON AT THE DEALERSHIP THAT ADVISED THEY DO WHAT NISSAN TELLS THEM TO DO. SO IT APPEARS THE SAFETY ISSUE CONTINUES, NISSAN HAS THE RESET THE COMPUTER TO NEW SETTINGS AND THE PROBLEMS AND SAFETY ISSUE IN OUR OPINION IS NEVER ADDRESSED. I NOW HAVE A 2017 ROGUE SPORT WITH SAFETY ISSUES AND SOUNDS LIKE AN OLD CAR ON ITS LAST LEG AFTER THE DEALERSHIP IS DONE WITH IT. ITS TIME NISSAN STEPS UP TO THE PLATE AND FIXES THE PROBLEM.
THREE TIMES I HAVE BEEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT APPROXIMATELY 35 - 45 MPH WITH NO OBSTRUCTIONS OR VEHICLES WHEN THE CAR SUDDENLY BEEPED THE COLLISION WARNING AND AUTOMATICALLY APPLIED THE BRAKES AND ALMOST COMPLETELY STOPPED THE VEHICLE. I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED ON TWO OCCASIONS BY THE VEHICLE THAT WAS BEHIND ME AS THERE WAS NO REASON TO STOP. I BROUGHT INTO DEALERSHIP TWO TIMES AND WAS TOLD THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY CODES AND THEY CLEANED OFF THE CAMERA AREA (I KEEP THE CAR RELATIVELY CLEAN). THEY TOLD ME TO TURN OFF THE PROXIMITY ALERT SYSTEM TO HELP PREVENT THE PROBLEM. THERE IS A SERIOUS ISSUE WITH NISSAN'S COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM THAT IS VERY DANGEROUS AND NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED AND RESOLVED. MY WIFE IS AFRAID TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AS SHE WAS WITH ME TWICE WHEN IT HAPPENED. PLEASE ISSUE A RECALL OR SOMETHING AS NISSAN IS NOT FIXING THE ISSUE OR INVESTIGATING THE PROBLEM. MY VEHICLE HAD BETWEEN 3,000 AND 9,000 MILES WHEN THESE EVENTS OCCURRED.
FUEL LEAK AT BOTTOM OF THE TANK. FUEL LEAK IS PROGRESSIVE WHEN IDLING AND ENGINE IS RUNNING. FUEL LEAK IS AT AN INCREASED RATE WHEN DRIVING, AS IT APPEARS THAT IT IS BEEN PUMPED BY A MOTOR. GASEOUS FUMES ENVELOPS INTERIOR OF CAR WHEN DRIVING. *TT

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FORWARD EMERGENCY BRAKING PACKAGE FUNCTION FAILED TO PROVIDE A WARNING AND DID NOT BRAKE WITHOUT THE CONTACT APPLYING FORCE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE DEALER (WEST PALM BEACH NISSAN, 3870 W BLUE HERON BLVD, RIVIERA BEACH, FL 33404, (561) 612-4825) WAS NOTIFIED AND TESTED THE VEHICLE, CONSUMER WAS LATER TOLD THAT TEST WAS UNOFFICIAL AS CORPORATE SAID TOLD THEM THEY COULDN'T TEST FEATURE. DELRAY NISSAN SAID THE SAME FEATURE IN INFINITI QX60 WORK PERFECTLY SO DOES CRUISE CONTROL BRAKING IN BOTH VEHICLES. HOWEVER WITHOUT CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED THE NISSAN FORWARD COLLISION SEEMS NOT WORK. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130. *TT
PULLED INTO PARKING STALL. WITH FOOT ON BRAKE, SHIFTED CAR TO PARK. ENGINE REV'ED AND CAR LURCHED FORWARD AT HIGH SPEED, JUMPED CURB AND CONCRETE WALL IN FRONT OF STALL. IMPACT FROM STOPPED CAR TO WALL IS LESS THEN 2 FT, BUT CAR IMPACTED WITH ENOUGH FORCE TO DAMAGE FRONT AND SIDE PANELS (SEE PHOTO).
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING 2 MPH, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED INDEPENDENTLY WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL BEING DEPRESSED. THERE WAS NO CRASH INVOLVED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO M'LADY NISSAN LOCATED AT 5656 NORTHWEST HWY, CRYSTAL LAKE, IL 60014, (815) 459-2288 TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO RETRIEVE A FAULT CODE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,700.
(FEB) FORWARD EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM FAULTY. I HAVE FILED ANOTHER CLAIM BEFORE THIS BUT THERE HAS BEEN MORE DEVELOPMENT AND ANSWERS TO THE UNKNOWN AS TO WHY IT IS DOING THIS. I SPOKE TO NISSANS ARBITRATION DEPT LAST NIGHT AND THEY HAVE FOUND THAT IT IS SOME TRAFFIC LIGHTS THAT ARE CAUSING AN INTERFERENCE AND CAUSING THIS SYSTEM TO SET OFF AUDIBLE BEEPS FOLLOWED BY A RED LIGHT (ACCORDING TO USER MANUAL IT IS THE FEB EMERGENCY WARNING INDICATOR). IT WILL THEN BRAKE ON ITS OWN...SOMETIMES MORE SIGNIFICANTLY THAN OTHERS. I DO HAVE A PICTURE OF THE LIGHT GOING OFF WHICH I WILL ATTACH TO THIS COMPLAINT. I HAVE HAD THIS CAR FOR 6MOS AND IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 4 TIMES. I FEEL THIS CAR IS A LEMON. I AM STILL FIGHTING WITH NISSAN BUT AS OF LAST NIGHT THEY SAID THAT NISSAN HAS NO INTEREST IN REPLACING OR LETTING ME REPURCHASE AT THIS TIME, BUT THEY WILL OFFER A CASH SETTLEMENT.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE STREET AND A CAR MADE A TURN IN FRONT OF ME AND MY FRONT COLLISION THING DID NOTHING.
EVERY TIME I ACCELERATE FROM A STOP SIGN, RED LIGHT ETC THE DRIVER SEAT CLICKS AND WIGGLES. IT DOES THE SAME THING WHEN I GO OVER A BUMP OR MOVE WHILE SITTING IN THE SEAT. I WILL BE SEEING A SERVICE TECH AT NISSAN NEXT WEEK BUT DON'T EXPECT TO GET MUCH ACCOMPLISHED. MY ROGUE HAS LESS THAN 20,000 MILES AND THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR SEVERAL MONTHS.
STEERING WHEEL VIBRATES WHEN ACCELERATING ALLWAYS.
WE PULLED UP TO A STOP SIGN AND STOPPED ON A SLIGHT DECLINE GETTING READY TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN. THE CAR BEEPED FOUR OR FIVE TIMES AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. RESTARTED WITH NO PROBLEM AND HAVE HAD NO REPEAT OF THIS. CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM. EMAILED NISSAN AND AM WAITING FOR A RESPONSE. LITTLE FRIGHTENING TO TAKE IT ON THE FREEWAY.
SUNDAY JANUARY 28, 2018 A SECOND TOTALLY UNNECESSARY DEPLOYMENT AGAIN OCCURRED, THIS TIME AT @ 8:43 AM. I WAS AGAIN ON THE SOUTHBOUND MAJOR DEEGAN EXPRESSWAY, HAVING ENTERED SOUTH OF YONKERS AVENUE, BUT THIS TIME IN THE RIGHT HAND LANE ON A SLIGHT DOWNHILL CURVE TO THE LEFT, PAST MCLEAN AVENUE OVERPASS, SPEED 52 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED, WHEN THE FORWARD EMERGENCY BRAKE SYSTEM AUTOMATICALLY DEPLOYED, FOR ABOUT 2 TO 3 SECONDS. AGAIN, THERE WAS NO CAR IMMEDIATELY IN FRONT OF ME; NO DEBRIS ON THE ROADWAY; NOTHING THAT WOULD ALERT THE SENSOR. AFTER EMAILING THE YORKTOWN NISSAN NEW CAR DEALER LAST WEEK JANUARY. 25TH AFTER THE FIRST SUCH INCIDENT, SEVERAL HOURS LATER I HAD RECEIVED NO RESPONSE. I THEN CALLED THE DEALER AND WAS DIRECTED TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. THE RECEPTIONIST WOULD NOT PUT ME THROUGH TO THE SERVICE MANAGER, BUT INSTEAD ALLEGEDLY SPOKE WITH A SERVICE DEPT. PERSON, AND REPLIEDY TO ME THAT "MOST LIKELY THERE IS DIRT COVERING THE SENSOR". I INQUIRED WHERE THE SENSOR IS, AND WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE. SHE REPLIED "THE SENSOR LOOKS LIKE A LITTLE CAMERA AND IT'S EITHER IN YOUR GRILL OR IN YOUR BUMPER". I EXAMINED THE SENSOR BUT DID NOT DETECT ANY PIECE OF DIRT OR ANYTHING COVERING THE SENSOR. I'M VERY WORRIED ABOUT THIS UNEXPLAINED EMERGENCY DEPLOYMENT OF THE FORWARD BRAKING SYSTEM, AND WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR RESPONSE ON THIS MATTER, AND WHO TO CONTACT TO SEE IF OTHER NISSAN OWNERS HAVE SIMILAR EXPERIENCES, AND TRY TO IDENTIFY IF THERE IS ANY DEFECT IN THE SYSTEM. I AM EXTREMELY WORRIED ABOUT BEING REAR-ENDED BY ANOTHER CAR WHEN THE SYSTEM, FOR NO REASON, DEPLOYS THE EMERGENCY BRAKING

I STOPPED, AWD LOCK INDICATOR GOES OFF ALONG WITH HIGH TEMPERATURE ALARM. RESUMED DRIVING TO DEALERSHIP AND 1MINUTE LATER THE PROBLEM REPATED EXACTLY THE SAME AGAIN. RESUMED DRIVING AGAIN, PROBLEM REPEATS TWO MORE TIMES RESULTING IN 4 TOTAL STOPS ON THE INTERSTATE HIGHWAY BEFORE AN EXIT. NISSAN DEALER ANALYSIS STATES THAT WHEN REACHING 50 MPH WITH SPARE TIRE IN USE WILL HAPPEN AND IS NOT DEFINED AS A VALID DEFECT OR PROBLEM. I BELIEVE THIS CREATES SAFETY HAZARDS FROM STOPPING, CHANGE IN STEERING HANDLING AND POTENTIAL OF MAJOR COMPONENTS FAILURE POSSIBLY FIRE OF OVERHEATING. *DSY

BOUGHT A 2017 NISSAN ROGUE AUGUST 23, 2017. IN JANUARY OF 2018, NOTICED WATER COLLECTING UNDER PASSENGER SEAT. DEALERSHIP SAID DRAIN PLUGS TO SUNROOF WERE CLOGGED CAUSING THE CABIN FLOORS TO FILL WITH WATER. MOLD HAD BEGUN TO FORM AND THERE WAS A POSSIBILITY OF THE AIR BAGS BEING DAMAGED. HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THE FAULTY PARTS STARTED TO MALFUNCTION, OR HOW LONG EXPOSURE TO MOLD HAS BEEN. NISSAN SAYS THIS IS AN ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE AND THAT THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE.
THE NISSAN ROGUE 2017 (NO THIRD SEAT) LATCH SYSTEM IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. THE LOWER ANCHORS ARE BURIED AND SO TIGHTLY ENCASED THAT IT WAS INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT TO INSTALL OUR CHILD SEATS. IF THERE WERE A COLLISION AND THE SEATS NEEDED TO BE EXTRACTED QUICKLY, I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT THEY WOULD NEED TO BE CUT OUT DUE TO THE LOWER ANCHOR POSITIONS AND ENCASEMENT. I'M A FAIRLY STRONG, GROWN WOMAN, AND I COULD BARELY FEEL THE LOWER ANCHORS, LET ALONE INSTALL THE CHILD SEAT. I HAVE QUICKLY INSTALLED CAR SEATS IN A TOYOTA PRIUS, NISSAN VERSA, HONDA ODYSSY, NISSAN MAXIMA, NISSAN ALTIMA, AND OTHER RENTED VEHICLES. THIS LATCH SYSTEM WAS BY FAR, THE MOST DIFFICULT AND INACCESSIBLE. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS VEHICLE AND IT'S LOWER ANCHORS. NOTE: OUR NISSAN VERSA IS CURRENTLY IN STORAGE AWAITING A TAKATA AIRBAG REPLACEMENT (THE SECOND ONE). WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE MAIN MOVING GLASS OF THE PANORAMIC SUNROOF SHATTERED. THIS HAPPENED WHILE THE CLOSEST CAR IN FRONT OF ME WAS ~1/4 OF A MILE.
VEHICLE RANDOMLY ACCELERATES WEIRD. WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOP SIGN OR TRAFFIC LIGHT, IT GOES TO 20 MPH AND HESITATES WITH GAS PEDAL PUSHED. THE RPMS REV UP TO 4,000-5,000 RPM, BUT THE CAR DOES NOT ACCELERATE BEYOND 20 MPH. AFTER ABOUT 10-15 SECONDS, VEHICLE WILL ACCELERATE TO NORMAL SPEED. THIS CAUSES ME TO SIT IDLE AT TIMES FEARING FOR MY SAFETY. NISSAN SERVICE CANNOT GET ANY FAULT CODES TO TRIP OR FIGURE OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. THE SERVICE MANAGER SAYS IT IS MY SPOUSE AND I'S DRIVING HABITS; HOWEVER, THE GENERAL MANAGER AT THE DEALERSHIP SAYS IT IS THE TRANSMISSION. NISSAN REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING FURTHER WITH THIS AND MY SAFETY IS AT RISK BASED ON THE UNKNOWN TIMING OF THIS EVENT. DOES NOT HAPPEN AT A CERTAIN TIME OF DAY EXCEPT RANDOMLY. PREPARING FOR A ROAD TRIP, WE HAD THE CAR IN OUR GARAGE AND FILLED THE WASHER FLUID TANK (AFTER COMPLETELY EMPTYING IT) WITH FLUID THAT WILL NOT FREEZE UP TO -40F AND IT WAS WORKING FINE FOR A FEW HOURS WHILE DRIVING, HOWEVER LATER WHILE DRIVING NO FLUID WAS COMING OUT ON EITHER THE FRONT OR REAR WINDSHIELD. THE PUMP WAS WORKING, BUT THE TOP LINES AND NOZZLES WERE FROZEN SO NOTHING WAS COMING OUT. THIS WAS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. IT WAS MAYBE 10F OUTSIDE WITH SALTY AND WET ROADS DUE TO LIGHT FLURRIES AND WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE DRIVING HOME ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAYS FOR 8 HOURS. WE LOST VISIBILITY MULTIPLE TIMES AND HAD TO KEEP PULLING OVER TO MANUALLY WIPE DOWN THE WINDSHIELDS AND EVENTUALLY WERE UNABLE TO MAKE OUR TRIP AS PLANNED BECAUSE OF HOW IMPOSSIBLE AND UNSAFE IT WAS TO USE THE CAR. THE NOZZLES AND LINES ARE SIMPLY TOO SMALL AND IT'S NOT A PROBLEM WITH OUR FLUID AS IT WAS COMPLETELY LIQUID. WE COULD FEEL HOW TIGHT THE TUBES WERE AND HOW IT WAS UNABLE TO GET THE FLUID THROUGH. YOU DO NOT REALIZE HOW NECESSARY WINDSHIELD FLUID IS UNTIL YOUR CAR GETS COVERED IN SALT BEHIND A TRUCK ON THE INTERSTATE AND YOU INSTANTLY CANNOT SEE ANYTHING. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND EXTREMELY UNSAFE FOR ALL PEOPLE DRIVING IN THE WINTER. IT IS STILL NOT WORKING PROPERLY AND IT'S 20F TODAY WHICH IS AVERAGE NORTHEAST TEMPERATURE. SOMETIMES WE GET A VERY LIGHT SPRAY THROUGH THE FRONT WINDSHIELDS - I'D SAY MAYBE 15% OF WHAT NORMALLY GETS OUT. THIS ISSUE HAS PUT US IN DANGER.

THIS IS IN CONFLICT WITH THE OWNERS MANUAL'S EXPLANATION OF FEB SHUT DOWN IN THE EVENT OF AN OBSTRUCTION. ON 12-19-2017 I RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR. AFTER FOUR DAYS OF DIAGNOSTIC AND ROAD TESTING I WAS TOLD THAT, ACCORDING TO NISSAN TECH LINE, SINCE THE DEALERSHIP WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE MALFUNCTION DURING THE TEST DRIVE, THEN THE CAR IS CONSIDERED OPERATIONAL AND SAFE AND COULD BE RETURNED TO THE CUSTOMER. AND ALTHOUGH FINDING MULTIPLE PAST CODES STORED ECM-UL00L, ASB-UL002, BCM UL000-00, UL000-01, CLB40-49, CLB30-49, UL000-00, ICC /ADAS-C1B53-04, CLB54-00, UL000-01 ALL INDICATION MALFUNCTION. NONE OF WHICH HAVE BEEN RESOLVED OR REPAIRED. ## VIN PASSED ## NISSAN ROUGE S FWD 2017.5 ##
THE FIRST TIME THE VEHICLE MALFUNCTIONED, I WAS DRIVING IN A GROCERY STORE PARKING LOT WITH A PERSONAL FRIEND AND SUDDENLY THE CAR'S EMERGENCY BRAKE PROTECTION ACTIVATED JOLTING THE CAR TO A STOP. THE SECOND OCCURRENCE WAS IN A PARKING DECK (DIFFERENT FROM THE FIRST LOCATION) AND THE CAR AGAIN ACTIVATED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE PROTECTION SYSTEM JOLTING THE CAR TO A STOP. I THEN FELT THIS WAS A SAFETY ISSUE AND BROUGHT THIS INTO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP. THEY CHECKED THE CAR AND CALLED REPORTING THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR AND I SHOULD PICK IT UP. I PICKED THE CAR UP AND CONTINUED TO DRIVE IT UNTIL I SWITCHED CARS WITH A PERSONAL FRIEND WHO USED THE CAR TO DRIVE ONE MILE BACK TO HOME DOWN A 4 LANE ROAD. UPON COMING TO AN INTERSECTION, SHE REPORTS SHE BEGAN SLOWING DOWN AND GOT IN A TURN LANE TO MAKE A LEFT ONTO OUR NEIGHBORHOOD ROAD AND AS SHE WAS APPROACHING THE LIGHT, THE CAR ACTIVATED THE EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM, AGAIN JOLTING THE CAR TO A STOP. SHE STATES DURING AND AFTER THE CAR CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP, SHE KEPT HER FOOT ON THE BREAK THE ENTIRE TIME AND WHILE DECOMPRESSING THE BRAKE, THE CAR THEN JOLTED FORWARD CRASHING INTO THE CAR IN FRONT OF HER. I HAD THE CAR TOWED IN TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND HAD CORPORATE NISSAN STEP IN TO INVESTIGATE THE CAR. 6 WEEKS LATER THEY INVESTIGATED THE CAR REPORTING THAT NO ERROR WAS FOUND WITH THE CAR AND AGAIN I SHOULD PICK MY VEHICLE UP. I REQUESTED SPECIFIC TESTS AND ASKED THE TESTING PROCESS FOR THE CAR AND WAS ADVISED BY THE INVESTIGATION DEPARTMENT THAT THEY COULD NOT DISCLOSE THAT INFORMATION AND THAT THE TESTING AND RESULTS WERE "PROPERTY OF NISSAN" AND THAT THEY WERE NOT OFFERING ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE.
