The contact owns 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH, the vehicle stalled and decelerated with the accelerator pedal being depressed. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to an independent mechanic or a dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000.
Three times in recent months vehicle has responded sluggish after coming to a stop. Two of those times were extended periods in stop amd go traffic greater than 20 minutes. 8/10/2024 event inexplicable as had stopped briefly and only driving for 5-10 minutes. Gas pedal must be fully depressed to get vehicle to move. When it finally responds it barely moves, RPMs Rev to 3,000 and stay there. In most recent episode 9/12/2024 I realized gas pedal was responding sluggishly after stopping for a light, but seemd to get in gear as normal. At 8 miles vehicle would barely resume rolling after a stop, gas pedal had to be floored, engine revved to 3,000 RPMs and acted like stuck in wrong gear, same as other 2 events. Like other times, no warning lights or gauges before or during event. After turning off vehicle and back on it returned to normal function, no indication there had been a problem. Not sure if this is a transmission problem or a computer problem, but a search of the internet reveals this is a common problem for Nissan Rogue owners. Many accounts read similar to mine. Not sure I can trust this vehicle anymore.
While taking off from a stoplight, the car did nothing when I pushed on the gas-then it jumped into gear & took off abruptly. This has happened multiple times. Just last week, I was driving & it started revving at higher rpm’s. I had to pull over and shut the car off and restart.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The airbag system in my 2017 Nissan Rogue malfunctioned. The airbag warning light turned on, indicating a potential failure in the system. The vehicle and its components are available for inspection if needed. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The malfunctioning airbag system compromises the vehicle's ability to deploy airbags in the event of a collision, putting my safety and the safety of others at risk. If the airbags do not deploy correctly during an accident, it could lead to severe injuries or even fatalities. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, the problem has been confirmed by a Nissan dealership. They informed me that the airbag system malfunctioned due to a defect in the sensor, and they recommended a repair costing approximately $4,000. However, they stated that the repair would not be covered under warranty. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? The vehicle has been inspected by a Nissan dealership, which confirmed the issue with the airbag system. The vehicle has not been inspected by police, insurance representatives, or other independent service centers. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes, the airbag warning light turned on, indicating a malfunction in the system. This warning light first appeared approximately a week ago.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the front passenger's side seat sensor was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The dealer contacted the manufacturer, and the manufacturer advised the dealer that the front passenger seat needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V244000 (Air Bags); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 75,191.
Radiator cooling fan defect that causes safety hazards and costly repairs. There's even an active class action claim filed against Nissan in Tennessee federal court Case No.[XXX]. My vehicle has been inspected by an independent service center who agreed and acknowledged the shop has experienced multiple customers who've had the same issue and repairs needed, with 2016-2020 Nissans especially. The dealership itself quoted $1800 for repairs! I'm a pretty proactive person, so caught the issue before my engine overheated and any warning lights turned on, but noticed when the radiator fan stopped turning once car was idled. Just want to make NHTSA aware of this ongoing issue and danger this can potentially be for Nissan consumers. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
I was drivin during the day with no one in front of me and all of a sudden the car was beeping, an alert flashed on the dash and my car skidded to a stop. The alert flashed so quickly I wasn’t able to see what it was and I had no control over my car. Fortunately no one was behind me.
The transmission on my 2017 Nissan Rogue is failing. I was driving from Queens, New York towards my home in New Jersey with my 10 year old nephew. There was a lot of stop and go traffic. Once I got into Manhattan, I noticed my car was having a hard time accelerating. The RPMs would go up to 4 but my car wouldn't go pass 40 miles on the speedometer. I pulled over to the side and turned off and turned on my car to try to reset it. It worked and I was able to continue driving. However, when I got to the Lincoln Tunnel entrance, the same issue was happening. Because it was stop and go traffic. I decided to again turn off and turn on my car. This time, when I tried turning it on, the car wouldn't turn on. I attempted it again and on the 3rd try, I was able to get it started, the check engine light came on, but the car drove fine until I got home. I took it to the dealership the next day, and they told me the transmission is failing and it would cost me $6200 to replace it. I asked if there was a recall on it, they said there was but my warranty expired. I thought the warranty was extended for another 10 years. Is this not the case? I'm confused by what I'm reading online. Is my dealership required to replace my transmission at no cost? This is a pretty dangerous situation as I don't feel safe driving my car anymore, it was especially scary since I had my nephew with me.
Transmission stalling when engine is hot. Constantly having putting my entire family’s life in danger as when pressing the gas pedal it does not respond right away. Please make this a recall as so many people are having the same exact issue!! This is not an affordable fix! Nissan needs to make this right.
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the contact heard an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the transfer case needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 67,000.
The transmission went out. It will cost 9000 dollars to fix. The dealership not Nissan warned me about this
I was driving on [XXX], close to [XXX] but my lights ( engine and tire were on ),when suddenly I lost the control and I hit on the wall. The steering wheel was a little hard and the mechanic told me my CATALYST wasn't good( engine and tire sensor aren't working correctly ). I thought it was my last day because that freeway is a little hight. I imaged my car flying. ALSO I HAVE 1 ACCIDENT . I CRASHED ONE CAR BUT IT WASNT MY BLAME. The car lost the control. Now I have to pay but it is expensive for me INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
CVT transmission started making the car not accelerate and was sluggish. It actually ended up stopping in the middle of freeway traffic. I had to turn the car off and then back on but it still was having high RPMs without accelerating.
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, there was an electrical burning odor coming from the driver's side with an unknown warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously serviced under an unknown recall; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the contact was advised to contact the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 165,000.
NHTSA Campaign #: 16V244000 Passenger airbag off
In my 2017.5 Nissan Rouge, which I purchased brand new, I am experiencing a serious life-threatening issue. It has occurred five times in the last 3 months when I attempt to accelerate from a stopped position, pressing the gas pedal,It does not move until I press very hard. The engine lags and seems to be in 1st gear for about 15 min or so until I turn it off and restart it again to return to normal operation. The vehicle has a mileage of only 62000. I believe it to be a defective CVT transmission. Dealership had been informed and waiting for their response. will update once I get a response.
AWD LIGHT WARNING ARE STAY ON WHILE THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR LIGHTS ARE ON
My vehicle is starting to jerk at times. Doesn't do it all the time, but it is bad. When driving it will jerk, and if the speed is 45 mph and you hold it at that speed the steering wheel will shake. The engine doesn't sound right. I have had it checked and it is the transmission. Yes there's is a recall on it. But since no lights have come on the Transmission can not be replaced. Something needs to be done before I am stranded some where. Don't know what the big deal is for you to fix it when you know there are problems with it.
The Supplemental air bag warning light illuminated. I call dealership and they are willing to schedule an appointment and charge $225 for a diagnostic test. Depending on the issue, the solution/remedy may cost anywhere between $300 and $1000. In my situation, the supplemental air bag warning light remains on after approximately 7 seconds.
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while at a red light, the vehicle stalled. No warning light was illuminated. The failure had occurred on several occasions. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the braking system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the braking system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic was diagnosed and again determined that the braking system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.
See attached complaint with all the details. The facts, and photos correspond to the ongoing issue with Route 33 Nissan. Timeline of events correlate with the recall.
The liftgate has been malfunctioning. It will go up, and out of now where completely falls. It has fell on me and my 1 year old when I was getting something in the trunk and had to quickly throw my 1 year old into the trunk so he did not get injured, but it fell on my back. My car was taken to the dealership on [XXX] to confirm there is something mechanically wrong with the liftgate. There were no warning signs of the trunk just dropping. Was driving on [XXX] from Sioux Falls, SD to Rapid City, SD on [XXX]. Just east of the [XXX], SD exit, we hit black ice driving approximately 75mph. We lost control, and the car went head first into a metal cable guard rail. The front end is destroyed, and the front doors and roof also received significant damage. I do believe that insurance is going to consider it a total loss based upon my observation and the response of the body shop it is currently at. None of the airbags deployed, even given the speed we were driving and the direct head on impact. The Trooper originally said that he was not going to ticket me for anything as I was driving under the speed limit and not overdriving, however, came back later and said that he would have to ticket me because the DOT would throw a fit if he didn't because they would have to fix the guard rail. Front collision sensor goes off every once in awhile it seeming that there's a person in front of the vehicle when there's no one on the street and also it goes off when it rains or snows or it's foggy out it doesn't work.
Vehicle consistently loses power, very loud noise as it is revving up, no lights are on for warnings, sounds as if it is trying to change gears but will not. The a/c also quits working during small climbs or long trips or especially in hilly areas.
I am the owner of a 2017 Nissan Rogue SV FWD. Bought the vehicle back in October 2022 with a clear history with no prior accidents reported on the vehicle. Recently while driving to work, my brakes on my 2017 Nissan Rogue suddenly braked or locked up without me pressing the brake pedal. There was no vehicles in ahead of me nor in back of me yet still the brakes engaged. This has caused my 2017 Nissan Rogue to lose traction and hydroplane across the lanes on the freeway and in doing so sending me crashing into the concrete barrier in the medium. It has been raining that day and while it was raining at the time of the incident, me hydroplaning unexpectedly was inevitable. The impact with the concrete barrier send me careening backward to now face the oncoming traffic that were behind me more than two hundred feet away. I look to the dash and discovered the "automatic braking" light on. Not wanting to get struck by oncoming drivers, I managed to move my vehicle to a safe location and turn the engine off. I like to also add that the driver side airbag on the 2017 Nissan Rogue DID NOT deploy from the impact. No drivers or other vehicles were struck damaged or impact from the incident. I have started a claim on the night of the incident and my vehicle is currently being inspected by my insurance agent.
On many occasions, the AEB (FEB) engages on its own, when there is not vehicle or item in the car's path. This is a safety issue, as it can happen in traffic, which is likely to cause a collision. This week I took the vehicle to Regal Nissan in Roswell, GA and made them aware of the situation. I was told, "This is a technologically advanced vehicle. If dirt or debris is on the front of the vehicle, it can cause the AEB to engage." The dealership said there was a software update to the AEB that they would perform. They did not inspect the AEB system, but said if it happens again bring it back and they will look at it further. When I got in my care to leave, I found a photocopied page (page 5-85) of the owner's manual that they left for me. The highlighted a sections that said: The radar sensor may NOT detect a vehicle ahead in the following conditions: - Dirt, ice, snow or other material covering the radar sensor". Again - it's not that the system is not detecting something in the path of the car, it's that it is engaging on its own. The last time it happened was approximately [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at approximately 35-50 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The Fire Department arrived and pushed the vehicle to the nearest highway exit. The vehicle was able to be restarted, but the failure recurred. The contact stated that the RPM fluctuated, and the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to AutoZone, where the DTC Code for the CVT judder was retrieved. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 131,000.
The hood does not seem secure while driving 55mph or above.
Key wouldn't start the car. It was in lock mode. Had to get it repaired. I had issues with the stario before where it went blank and nonsound will come out. Got it fixed, how, there are times where it comes and goes.
My daughters vehicle 2017 Nissan Rogue has been jerking for months now. No check engine has been on. I have been told it is likely a transmission problem After doing some research this has been an ongoing problem with the Nissan Rogue but no recall has been issued in the state of Oklahoma. It also doesn’t help that it has over 100,000 miles now. This is not an affordable fix but Nissan needs to fix it and others who are having the issue before someone gets hurt or it causes accidents If a recall and settlement has been made in other states all states should have been included Nissan knew this was a problem and failed to handle it accordingly
My car is a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The transmission is going bad. This started about 3 years into ownership but was not consistent until this recent year. The vehicle will sometimes falter when trying to press the gass peddle from a stopped position which could be very dangerous when trying to cross an intersection or make a turn with no speed. Additionally, there have been many occasions where we e had to pull over due to the gears not shifting correctly. The RPMs skyrocket but the car won't move any faster which is bad for the car and can be dangerous when getting onto the highway etc. Since this has been a known issue for many years (except of course, by me) yet sold to us with no warning of the strong possible this happening, we want Nissan to replace our transmission for free. Of we had been warned ahead of time, we could have chosen a different model or year that doesn't have these problems. Another issue is that the computer in the vehicle does not function properly and several features are useless such as the reading and notification of a text, the car will send the "I am driving" response, not only to the sender of the text but 2 other people in my contacts as well and if a text does get through, it ALWAYS read that it is from my son who no longer has contact with us. As annoying (and hurtful) these issues can be, all I care about is the transmission. i expect to receive a response and a resolution rather quickly as this is not my first attempt to get this fixed
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while the vehicle was being serviced at the dealer, the contact was informed of a CVT failure after a diagnostic test. The contact stated while driving 15 MPH and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to respond and failed to exceed 15 MPH. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact pulled over to the side of the road. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle, and the vehicle responded as needed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 117,000.
Around 80,000 miles our car, when it's been driven about an hour, starts to hesitate when I escalate when slowed or stopped. It's about a 3 second hesitation that is very dangerous if I try to drive across a busy 4 lane road. I have come very close to being hit several times due to this hesitation. I am very aware there has been lawsuits in regards to this. I read in the lawsuit that Nissan put some sort of chip in the engine to allow it to last longer but it also causes this hesitation when the engine gets warm. In order to stop this, I have to literally shut the car off, back on, then this hesitation stops for awhile. It's as if the microchip has been rebooted or something when the car is shut off. I called the dealership here an they say they never heard of this but I find it hard to believe since others like me with this 2017 ROGUE, have the same issues and some have paid for a new transmission. I cannot afford that especially when it's Nissan who is causing it. I did contact Nissan and they told me since the mileage is over 100,000 now they will do nothing. I haven't taken it to the dealer service after a conversation I had over the phone. I was treated unfairly and talked down to for being female. They spoke to me as if I was terribly ignorant. I told them I read about other people's issue with the ROGUE from the class action suit. I didn't just read it off some web page. Besides, even if they diagnosed my car for what I have described, I Don't have the money to replace a transmission and hope to get refunded from some lawsuit years from now. By then I could be dead in that car. Can't afford to get a new car. If you all don't take this seriously, I at least want it filed so that if something happens one of my final requests will to have my husband follow through with a lawsuit. We try to avoid driving situations because of this. Why won't Nissan just replace the microchip? What do I do?
The contact owned a 2017 Nissan Rouge. The contact stated that upon his wife's arrival home, she smelled a sweet odor in the interior of the vehicle. Later that morning, after the contact attempted to enter the vehicle utilizing the keyless entry, the vehicle failed to unlock. After a visual inspection of the interior of the vehicle, the contact observed that the front driver's side door control panel had been damaged and melted consistent with a fire. Additionally, the front driver window was cracked. Local emergency services were called, but the fire had been extinguished on its own. A fire report was filed, with no injuries reported. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic and was instead deemed a total loss. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to Campaign Bulletin PC934. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but did not assist. The failure mileage was 119,000.
I bought Nissan Rogue 2017 in 2021, but I have been having issues with tires, even though i had pump it and went to repair the tire many times, I received a notice for key recall in 2023, I went for to Evan Mills Nissan dealer in March 2023, They just straighten the key, that I should not bend the key, and I have been having issues with car engine light, ABS and Malfunction's, I have, this car had shut off four times while driving. brakes & engine shut off while driving On [XXX]. I was driving in Chicopee MA, the moment I inserted the key, while driving, the car suddenly accelerated, could not control the brakes, jack up and suddenly turned off, while driving with my kids in it, the speed sensor decrease and not accelerated at all, I took it to scanning at emission test, I changed part as requested, but yet the engine light and ABS is still on, I went to the dealer on 11/26/2024 but they told that i have to pay $200 to diagnose this car before anything can be done, I have been having issues this car since they one, because the dealer sold this car for me with bad tires and also fogged the price from $17,000 to $23,000, I traded Hyundai sonata 2017 and i did not get anything back, I am [XXX], please I need help with my car. I was driving home from work and my car braked really hard without me touching the brake. The dash board light flashed a warning that was red and white and an alarm went off. This is available upon request. My safety was put at risk because this happened as I was accelerating through a green traffic light. There were people behind me who could have slammed into me, endangering me and them. This happened one other time last week but for a short period of time and it barely braked. It has not yet been inspected, but I plan to call my local dealership.
I have water leak and mold growing in the passenger side of the vehicle for about a month. I took car to Rockaway Nissan, where i bought the vehicle. The dealer Stated that, they found sunroof drain hoses clogged with water and debris causing back flow of water into cabin which they claimed cleared and tested for leak and should remedy the issue. Unfortunately, i am still having the leak even after the work they did. I took my car to get inspected and check for leak again. Now they are saying that they don't know where the water is coming from and they advised me that it is safety hazard to drive this car and advised me to call Nissan Corporate office directly. I called Nissan Consumers affairs, and they are saying that it is the dealer that is supposed to fix not them. am worried that driving this car can create fire and other safety hazard with all this water leaking. Thank You
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the vehicle was designed to turn off when pressing the Push to Stop button regardless of which gear it was in. The contact stated that while turning off the vehicle while it was in reverse(R), in drive (D), or in neutral (N), the vehicle rolled. The contact stated the failure also occurred when turning off the vehicle while it was in the park(P). There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that on one occasion, the vehicle rolled and hit his wife while she was attempting to stop the vehicle from rolling. The contact's wife fell on the pavement. The vehicle then hit another unoccupied parked vehicle. A police report was filed. The contact's wife sustained pain on the left shoulder and left knee, but did not see medical assistance. The dealer was notified of the failure and charged a diagnostic testing fee. The contact declined to pay the fee. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000. The VIN was not available.
The transmission is jerking going from first to second gear. The rpm's will rev up but I get no speed. This vehicle only has 96,000 miles currently. The problem started occurring around 90,000 miles and took our family a while to figure out what was happening. It started out as a slight jerking and now is becoming quite problematic. I have reached out to the Nissan manufacturer to file a complaint but have not got anything from them with the exception of an apology. As we research this is a very common problem and yet there has not been a recall on the transmission unfortunately. This is putting our family in danger as we have to visit our family in two different states and often do not have good cell phone reception due to the mountainous regions. Now we do not feel safe traveling with this vehicle. We expected to get many more miles on this vehicle as our last vehicle was a Murano and got well over 200,000 miles. We have read that there has been instances where the transmission was replaced and covered up to 120,000 miles. Customer service at Nissan corporate informed us otherwise and stated it was only for models up to 2010. Our extended warranty is now out and we are not covered for the power train currenly.
While driving i started to notice my RPM increasing and my acceleration decreasing. I have stayed up to date and proactive on maintenance. at 110000 miles my transmission has started to have gear slips, My RPMs increase and my car will randomly lose the ability to accelerate at random times leaving me vulnerable to an accident car crash.
The automatic emergency braking system activated when there was no hazard. it was a full on panic stop with ABS engaging. The event lasted about 2 seconds. There were no other cars near by so there was no incident. This is the first time this has happened and the Rogue was fine for the rest of that drive. the front sensor was free from obstruction when looked at about 10 mins later.
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the vehicle occasionally stalled while idling. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and the vehicle operated as needed. While driving at various speeds, the vehicle independently decelerated with the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the intake manifold had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired due to parts being on back order. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 83,000.
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 MPH, the vehicle experienced unintended braking. The failure recurred approximately 3 days later. The contact stated that there was a RED triangle with an exclamation warning light indication a Critical Warning message. The vehicle had not been taken to the dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000.
The vehicle is well maintained with about 102,400 miles. There has been no previous indication that the transmission had any issues. While operating the vehicle under normal conditions. I drove about 10 miles and entered the highway. While accelerating to meet the speed limit of 70mph the vehicle began to experience a sudden loss of power. The RPMs would spike but the vehicle would decelerate. There were no warning lamps or other indications of what was wrong. I left the highway at the next exit and when I stopped to inspect the vehicle I found that the vehicle would not initially go into gear when I tried to get back on the road. The vehicle eventually went back into gear, though accelerating was jerky and inconsistent. I took it to Valvoline for an inspection and oil change. They found that the fluid levels were normal and could see no other indications of faults. I then took it to the Nissan dealership, where it is right now. The dealership recommended a transmission replacement.
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the vehicle hesitated and lost motive power. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle returned to normal functionality. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed the vehicle with exhaust manifold, air-fuel ratio sensor, and O2 sensor failures. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related it to Voluntary Emission Recall Campaign PC717, but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 90,000.
My car is a 2017 Nissan Rogue hybrid. It jerks a lot when moving, when it starts moving, I feel that the electric engine does not provide power and it switches to a gasoline engine, while the car jerks strongly and can jerk sharply when I release the gas pedal. When moving backwards, it also jerks strongly; when moving uphill, you have to press the gas pedal hard to climb the hill. I found out that this car model often had problems with the brakes and the Nissan company repaired these cars and recalled them. 2022-2024 Nissan CVT Transmission Settlement Update (Rogue ... Nissan agreed to pay over $277 million as part of the settlement to resolve certain defective transmissions claims. The following Nissan models are included in the 2022 Nissan CVT settlement: 2014 – 2018 Nissan Rogue. 2015 – 2018 Nissan Pathfinder. One of the auto mechanics reported that when you press the gas pedal a little, the electric motor does not push the car, does not move the car forward, there is no force in it. But already when driving, it is triggered, since the car is on the move and moves by inertia. This auto mechanic reported that the problem is with this electric motor and it is attached to the transmission, and to replace it, you need to completely change the transmission with this electric motor. I ask you to please help me in solving this problem, because of this I am very worried and worried, it is difficult to communicate with Nissan representatives.
The automatic emergency brake will activate when it's not supposed to. Then it will take several seconds for me to be able to drive again. This has caused me to almost be rear ended several times. I can turn the auto brake system off but it will come back on, on it's own.
Passenger air bag lite does not detect person in seat. Have seen this recall but told by vin number doesn't qualify even though it is same problem. $3100 to fix
August 2022 Passenger Vehicle Seat Belt system light came on, concern was if the seat belt would work when occupied. Vehicle was taken to Baytown Nissan for Passenger seat belt light malfunction, was advised to replace the Occupant Control Unit and Occupant Pressure Sensor with Callibration 3.0. The light eventually corrected itself. August 2023 The Passenger Airbag Light stayed on and says the Airbag is turned off when someone is seated in the vehicle, concern is occupant safety. Took vehicle to Baytown Nissan for diagnostic, code is b00a0 module malfunction, again advised to replace OCS Control and Callibrate. I have seen previous recalls on air bag malfunctions and would like to know why this is not a safety recall. This is my fourth Nissan vehicle and never had this problem and the other vehicles were older.
