STARTING FROM 2017 UP UNTIL 8/5/2019 AFTER OBTAINING MY 2017 NISSAN ROUGE MY INITIAL COMPLAINT WAS THE SEAT, IT IS HORRIBLE, MY COMPLAINTS BROUGHT NO RESULTS FROM NISSAN. THEN AFTER I BEGAN TO NOTICE WHILE DRIVING A LOUD HUMMING SOUND AS IF THE CAR WAS OUT OF GEAR AND THE CAR WOULD SLOW TO A HALT OR STALL/STOP WHILE DRIVING OR I WOULD PULL OVER BECAUSE OF THE FAMILIAR SOUND, NOT SURE WHAT THE MATTER WAS THEN I WOULD SEE THIS FUNNY LITTLE SYMBOL LIKE A CRASH OF SOMETHING OF SORT. THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES BUT THIS LAST TIME IT HAD A BLATANTLY FLASH THE LITTLE CRASH SYMBOL CAME UP AGAIN BUT NOW WITH AN EXPLANATION MARK AND A CONSISTENT WARNING TELLING ME IT WAS A MALFUNCTION THE CAR CAME TO A HALT BEFORE I COULD PULL OUT THE SHELL GAS STATION. I'M SO THANKFUL THAT IT STOPPED AT THE STATION INSTEAD OF HAPPENING AS I MERGED INTO TRAFFIC AS IT HAD IN THE PAST. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY AT 1ST I WAS TOLD THEY WERE SWAMPED AND I HAD TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WHEN MY CALL WAS TRANSFERRED SO I COULD MAKE MY APPOINTMENT I EXPLAINED THE SITUATION TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT AND SHE CONTACTED THE REPAIR SUPERVISOR; I THINK HIS NAME WAS STEVE OR STEPHEN AND HE ADVISED HER TO TELL ME TO TOW THE CAR TO THE DEALER SHIP BECAUSE TRYING TO DRIVE IT WOULD BE DANGEROUS. ONCE I MADE IT HOME I TUNED INTO THE NEWS AND THERE WAS AN INVESTIGATIVE REPORT ON ABC 7 CHICAGO NEWS SAYING THAT MANY HAVE SIMILAR COMPLAINTS AS MINE. I AM VERY AFRAID TO CONTINUE DRIVING THIS CAR; IT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED BECAUSE IT IS DANGEROUS AND I NO LONGER TRUST THE VEHICLE.
THE ROGUE CAUGHT FIRE AFTER BEING PARKED FOR 12 HOURS. THE CAR BURNED COMPLETELY TO THE GROUND. IT HAPPENED AROUND 4:00A AND NO ONE WAS IN THE VEHICLE OR AROUND THE VEHICLE WHEN IT OCCURRED. NO INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN DONE AND AM WAITING FOR INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THIS IS A FLEET VEHICLE FROM MY COMPANY. THERE WERE NO ACCESSORIES PLUGGED INTO THE CAR LIKE A CELL PHONE, OR OTHER DEVICE. THE ONLY ITEMS INSIDE THE CAR WAS A SUITCASE WITH CLOTHING, CHILD CAR SEAT, CAR COVERS, SUNGLASSES, AND MISCELLANEOUS SMALL ITEMS.
WHEN MAKING A U-TURN ON A CITY STREET MY VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED ON IT'S OWN AT FULL SPEED SENDING MY CAR INTO A TREE. THE TREE STOPPED THE VEHICLE. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. I GOT A HEAD INJURY AND WENT TO THE ER VIA RESCUE SQUAD. MANY PEOPLE WERE IN THE AREA, LUCKILY NO ONE WAS HIT. ATTACHED ARE SOME PHOTOS OF THE DAMAGED VEHICLE.*DT *DT *DT CONSUMER STATED CONTACTED NISSAN AND DESCRIBED TO THEM WHAT HAPPENED. CONSUMER TOLD THE DEALER THAT HE WISHED FOR THEM TO LOOK INTO THE SOFTWARE AND TRY TO FIND THE PROBLEM.*JB CONSUMER STATED THE CAR CRASH OCCURRED ON FRIDAY JULY 26, 2019. THE CAR WAS TOWED BY DENNIS' TOWING & TRANSPORTATION. THEIR ADDRESS IS 13990 WEST LISBON ROAD, BROOKFIELD, WISCONSIN 53005 AND THEIR PHONE NUMBER IS 1-262-781-5022. I REMOVED MY LICENSE PLATES FROM THE NISSAN ROGUE ON TUESDAY JULY 30, 2019 AND THAT WAS THE LAST TIME THAT I SAW THE CAR. IT WAS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THE CAR WAS BEING TRANSPORTED TO A SALVAGE YARD POSSIBLY SOMEWHERE IN CHICAGO. I DON'T KNOW THAT FOR SURE. IF YOU WERE TO CALL DENNIS' TOWING & TRANSPORTATION THEY MAY BE ABLE TO TELL YOU WHERE THE CAR WAS SHIPPED TO. *JB *DT *TR*JB *TR
I WAS PULLING INTO A DRIVEWAY IN THE CITY, AND THEN AEB STARTED TO BEEP AND THEN SUDDENLY STOPPED THE CAR (THE BRAKES MADE A GRINDING NOISE, THEY STOPPED THAT HARD). THERE WAS NO OBSTRUCTION IN FRONT OF THE SENSOR, AND I WAS ALREADY APPLYING THE BRAKE AND GOING LESS THAN 10 MPH.
MY CAR SUDDENLY BRAKED ON ITS OWN WHILE TRAVELING AT 40 MILES PER HOUR WITHOUT A CAR OR OBJECT IN FRONT OF MY CAR.
REFERENCE TOTAL BRAKE FAILURE; 8 ISSUES ALREADY REPORTED TO NHTSA ON THE NISSAN ROGUE, INVOLVING 8 WRECKS, 5 INJURIES, GUESS THEY ARE WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO BE KILLED BEFORE ADDRESSING THE SITUATION. I WAS WEST BOUND I-76 OUT OF DENVER CO IN MY 2017 NISSAN ROUGE,WHEN WE CAME UPON AN ACCIDENT SCENE IN THE EXTREME LEFT LANE NEXT TO THE EAST/WEST CONCRETE LANE DIVIDER, I SLOWED DOWN WITH THE REST OF THE TRAFFIC AS WE ATTEMPTED TO MERGE INTO THE RIGHT LANE TO GET AROUND THE ACCIDENT, TRAFFIC WAS MOVING AT ABOUT 10-15 MPH OR SLOWER, AS I LOOKED AT THE RIGHT LANE FOR SPACE TO MERGE, A CAR IN THE RIGHT LANE JUMPED IN FORNT OF ME INTO THE LANE THE ACCIDENT WAS IN, THAT LANE WAS STOPPED, HE THEN SLAMMED ON HIS BRAKES, I HAD ABOUT15-20 FEET BETWEEN US, I HIT MY BRAKES HARD, THE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, NO BRAKES. I TOLD WIFE TO HANG ON WE THEN HIT HIS CAR COMING IN CONTACT WITH HIS BUMPER HITCH WHICH STUCK OUT ABOUT 10 INCHES.I WAS STANDING ON THE BRAKE SO HARD MY LEG CRAMPED UP! WE BOTH GOT OUR OF OUR CARS, HE SAW NO DAMAGE TO HIS, GOT BACK IN AND LEFT THE SCENE AS THE LANE HAD THEN STARTED MOVING AGAIN, AS WE WERE PAST THE ACCIDENT. ACTUALLY THE VEHICLES INVOLVED IN THE ACCIDENT WE WERE AVOIDING HAD BEEN MOVED TO THE LEFT SAFETY LANE BUT ONE A PICKUP WAS PROTRUDING INTO LEFT LANE OF TRAFFIC CAUSING US TO HAVE TO MERGER TO THE RIGHT TO PASS, BUT STILL STAY IN BASIC LEFT LANE, THAT WAS WHEN HE MADE MOVE IN FRONT OF ME..HAVE BEEN DRIVING 64 YEARS, 40 PROFESSIONALLY, NEVER HAD A CHARGE ACCIDENT. NOW HAVE ONE DUE TO FAILURE OF THE BRAKES ON 2 YEAR OLD CAR WITH 25,000 MILES ON IT.. NOT THE FIRST TIME FOR NISSAN AS STATED ABOVE, ARE THEY WAITING FOR PEOPLE TO GET KILLED BEFORE THEY ADDRESS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE? AT THE LEAST A VEHICLE CHECK SHOULD BE ISSUED TO NISSAN! WE NEEDED TO RENT A CAR FROM ENTERPRISE TO FINISH OUR TRIP, OVER $4500 DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE.
BACK DRIVER WINDOW WILL NOT ROLL UP OR DOWN.
TRAVELING AT 70 MPH ON I45, TEMPERATURE IN THE 90'S AND HIGH HUMIDITY. SUDDENLY, THE CONSOLE STARTED TO BLINK AND BEEP WITH A WARNING TONE, HAD TO CROSS 3 LANES AT HIGH SPEED, AS FAST AS POSSIBLE TO TAKE THE FIRST EXIT AVAILABLE. I HAD NO IDEA WHAT TO EXPECT. EARLY THAT DAY, WHILE PARKED AT THE BEACH, THE CAR TURN OFF BY ITSELF, I TURNED THE IGNITION KEY AND IT STARTED IMMEDIATELY, BUT WE DECIDED TO GO HOME. BELIEVE ME, REDUCING THE SPEED WOULD HAD CAUSED AN ACCIDENT, BUT CROSSING THE LANES THAT FAST WAS REALLY SCARY AND DANGEROUS. MEANWHILE, MY HUSBAND STARTED TO HYPERVENTILATE AND WE BOTH WERE SHAKING. IT WAS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. I ENTERED A PARKING LOT, DID NOT TURN OFF THE CAR AND TOLD MY HUSBAND THAT DYING FOR A CAR WAS NOT WORTH IT, THAT WE WERE SAFE, BUT I WAS TREMBLING. NOW, WHAT TO DO? THE EVENT STOPPED AS SUDDENLY AS IT STARTED, WE DECIDED TO PUSH FORWARD AND TRY TO MAKE IT HOME 49.1 MILES AWAY. WE ARRIVED HOME AND THE EVENT DID NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. I DON'T KNOW IF IT IS AN ELECTRIC OR ELECTRONIC PROBLEM.
I HAVE BEEN NOTICING WATER ACCUMULATION UNDER THE DRIVERS SIDE SEAT AND ALSO FOGGING ON THE WINDSHIELD IN FRONT OF THE DRIVERS SIDE. THIS IS ALL HAPPENING DURING SUMMERS. I HAVE REMOVED MORE THAN A GALLON WATER ALREADY AND IT KEEPS COMING BACK I THINK.
ENGINE KEEPS ON TURN OFF WITH OUT NOTICE.
MY DRIVER'S SEAT STARTED MAKING CLICKING NOISE OCCASIONALLY WHEN TURNING LEFT AND RIGHT, EVER SINCE THIS SUMMER. DON'T KNOW IF IT'S THE WELDING ISSUE OR SOME PIECES INSIDE IMPACT WITH EACH OTHER. I SEARCHED ONLINE AND SAW OTHER 2017 NISSAN ROGUE OWNERS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THE BATTERY LEAKING ACID FROM THE CAP. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TREIBER NISSAN (LOCATED AT 320 N COMRIE AVE, JOHNSTOWN, NY 12095, (844) 634-4150) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT NO FAILURE WAS FOUND. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEALER CLEANED THE ACID FROM THE BATTERY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 26,700.
I WAS DRIVING UP A RAMP IN A PARKING GARAGE, NOTHING IN FRONT OF ME OR IN MY CROSS WAY, THE VEHICLE SLAMMED ON IT'S BRAKES BY ITSELF. THANKFULLY I WAS NOT DRIVING FAST AND THE CAR BEHIND ME WAS ABLE TO ALSO SLAM ON THEIR BRAKES TO AVOID HITTING ME. I'VE DRIVEN THIS PARKING GARAGE NUMEROUS TIMES OVER THE ALMOST 2 YEARS OF OWING THIS VEHICLE WITHOUT THIS HAPPENING BEFORE. MY DEALERSHIP (MCGRATH NISSAN IN ELGIN, ILLINOIS) TOLD ME THIS WAS NORMAL AND I SHOULD ONLY BE CONCERNED IF IT HAPPENS ON AN OPEN ROAD. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE IN MY OPINION AND SHOULD NOT BE SHRUGGED OFF BY NISSAN.
THE FEB SYSTEM WOULD BRAKE MY CAR RANDOMLY, ESPECIALLY IN PARKING GARAGES. I WOULD BE IN AN OPEN LANE WITH NO CARS IN FRONT OF ME. IT'S CONCERNING WHEN THERE ARE CARS BEHIND ME. I GOT THE SYSTEM UPDATED AT MY LAST SERVICE APPOINTMENT, IT DOES SEEM TO HAPPEN LESS, BUT IT STILL OCCURRED ONCE SINCE THEN. HOWEVER, THIS SHOULDN'T OCCUR AT ALL.
AT 8000 MILES, I HAD TO HAVE THE RIGHT FRONT STRUT REPLACED, AND NOW I HAVE 23,000 MILES ON IT AND I AM GOING ON MY 4TH STRUT, RIGHT FRONT. A POPPING CLICKING NOISE WHEN I TURN OR BACK UP. DRIVING A 4 HR TRIP, WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 3 HRS, THE AIR CONDITIONING FROZE UP AND STOPPED WORKING. I COULD HEAR THE FAN ON FULL BLAST BUT NOTHING WAS COMING OUT. I TURNED IT OFF FOR 20 MINUTES AND THEN IT CAME BACK ON WITH COOL AIR. IT IS IN THE SHOP NOW FOR A HEATER/COOLER BOX AND THE 4TH STRUT REPLACEMENT.
FRONT PASSENGER SUN VISOR WAS CLOSED ON THE GLASS SIDE, DURING THE CRASH AIR BAGS OPENED AND PUSHED BROKE IT TO PASSENGERS FACE AND CAUSED SERIOUS DAMAGE ON FACE WITH NOSE FRACTURE, WHICH WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED EVEN WITHOUT AIRBAGS.
A FEW TIMES ON A COOL START IN THE MORNING IT DOESN'T FULLY TURN OVER. I WAIT A FEW SECONDS AND TURN KEY AGAIN THEN IT TURNS OVER. A FEW TIME WHILE BACKING UP OUT OF MY WORK SPOT, THE CAR 'JUMPS' LIKE IT IS GOING TO KILL. AS SOON AS I HIT BRAKE IT REVS BACK UP AND THEN I CAN GO. TODAY I LEFT WORK, THEN AT A STOP SIGN MY CAR KILLED. I REALLY DIDN'T THINK MUCH, UNTIL IT KILLED. I WILL BE CALLING SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOMORROW.
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 35 MILES AN HOUR ON AN EMPTY CITY STREET THE EMERGENCY BREAKING SYSTEM KICKED IN AND THE TIRES SCREECHED OUT OF NOWHERE.
THE CAR JERKS WHEN ACCELERATING
THE AUTOMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM DEPLOYS AT RANDOM RESULTING IN NEAR REAR END COLLISIONS. THE CAR HAS BRAKED FORCIBLY WHEN DRIVING OVER SPEED BUMPS, METAL PLATES ON THE ROAD, AND RAILROAD TRACKS. THE DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT WON'T REPLACE THE DETECTION SYSTEM SAYING THAT CAN'T "RECREATE" THE PROBLEM. IT CAN'T BE DISABLED PERMANENTLY. PLEASE INSIST ON A RECALL. THIS IS SO DANGEROUS! OWNERS SHOULD BE WARNED TO TURN IT OFF MANUALLY EVERY TIME THEY ENTER THEIR CARS.
I WAS DRIVING ON A PUBLIC ROAD (SPEED LIMIT 45), GOING ABOUT 45 MPH. WHEN I WAS GOING THROUGH AN INTERSECTION AND HAD A GREEN LIGHT, THE EMERGENCY AUTOMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM STARTED ENGAGING, BEEPING FIST. THERE WERE NO CARS IN OR NEAR THE INTERSECTION. AFTER SEVERAL WARNING BEEPS, THE EAB SYSTEM STARTED ENGAGING THE BRAKES, INDICATING THAT A CRASH WAS IMMINENT. AGAIN, THERE WAS NO CARS NEAR OR BY US. THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED BY THE CAR, AND IT TOOK A MOMENT BEFORE THE BRAKES EASED UP AND I COULD APPLY THE GAS PEDAL. WE WERE GOING STRAIGHT THROUGH THE INTERSECTION.
I'VE HAD THE CAR FOR FIVE MONTHS IS 2017 HAD 44,000 MILES VARTY HAD PROBLEM WITH THE HEATING CORE I HAD TO BUY A NEW BATTERY AND NOW WHEN THE AIR-CONDITIONER COMES ON SOMETIMES THE HEATER COMES ON I HAVE HAD A SLOW TAKEOFF FROM THE STOPPING POSITION THE CAR DOESN'T WANT TO HAVE TOO MUCH POWER I HAVE SEATBELT ISSUES THAT I CAN'T GET THE SEATBELTS PUT IN ESPECIALLY WHEN I HAVE MY GRANDSON WHO IS AUTISTIC AND FIVE YEARS OLD EVEN MY MOTHER WILL HAVE A HARD TIME BACK WHEN THE SEATBELT THE BRAKES I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON. GO ONLINE AND OTHER ISSUES WITH OTHER 2017 NISSAN ROGUE SPORTS ARE THE SAME PROBLEM I'M HAVING BUT YET THERE'S NO RECALLS AND I AM VERY UPSET WITH THIS I HAVE A LOAN FOR THIS CAR AND I FEEL LIKE I'VE GOT A LEMON
CAR JERKING WHEN PUT IN REVERSE AND JERKS GOING FROM A BRAKE TO ACCELERATE. MY CAR LASTS JERKS IN THE MORNING WHEN OUT INTO REVERSE I'M ABOUT TO DRIVE IT TO WORK. I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR!!! HELP!!! CARMAX AND NISSAN CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG AND SAYS IT'S WITHIN THE NORMAL LIMITS. NO WAY! THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION. THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE. I JUST TOOK MY CAR IN LAST WEEK TO BE SERVICED FOR THIS ISSUE AND I'M TAKING IT BACK IN TODAY FOR THEM TO LOOK AT IT AGAIN. SMH!
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY IN THE RAIN, THE RADIO STOPPED RESPONDING AND EVENTUALLY WENT BLACK, THE HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT ALTHOUGH THEY WERE MARKED ON INSIDE THE VEHICLE, ODOMETER ALSO BECAME UNRESPONSIVE. WHILE STEERING TO THE LEFT THE VEHICLE WENT RIGHT INSTEAD
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE CONTACT WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONT END COLLISION WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A JUNK YARD. THE CONTACT SUFFERED INJURIES AND RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,000.
TAMARA RECALL .... THE VEHICLE WAS TURNING LEFT LANE ON A CITY STREET WHEN A CAR CAME OUT OF NOWHERE THE SENSORS DIDN'T BEEP & THE AIRBAGS SUPPOSEDLY HAD BEEN SERVICED OR REPAIRED BY DEALER BUT THEY NEVER DEPLOYED & IT WAS A FRONTAL CRASH . PLUS DEALER ALREADY HAD KNOWLEDGE OF THIS TYPE OF FAULT BUT STILL DIDN'T BOTHER TELLING ME BUT PUT IT IN 1 OF THE SERVICE MAINTENANCE INVOICES AND I THINK DEALER IS DOING MISCHIEF PLEASE INVESTIGATE ... THANK U 4 UR TIME.... P.S THEY HAVE DONE REPAIRS ON THE VEHICLE THAT ARE NOT REQUIRED YET AS WELL I AM A CERTIFIED AUTO TECHNICIAN A.S.E CERTIFICATIONS
AT 28,000 MILES, I MY CVT WENT OUT WITH NO WARNING WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY.
AT 11,500 THE CAR DECREASED IN BRAKING ABILITY. THE DEALER WAS GOING TO CHARGE AN ENORMOUS AMOUNT JUST TO LOOK AT THE BRAKES. TOOK THE CAR TO OUR RELIABLE MECHANIC TO RECEIVE THE TRUST AND NOT BE RIPPED OFF. THE ROTORS ARE GLAZED WHICH PREVENTS THE BRAKES TO STOP THE CAR QUICKLY. NISSAN REFUSED TO TAKE CARE OF THIS PROBLEM. IT IS DRIVABLE BECAUSE IT DOES STOP, JUST NOT QUICKLY. BUT AT INSPECTION TIME, IT PROBABLY WON'T PASS. AT 13,100, THE SERPENTINE BELT AND THE ALTERNATOR LET GO WHILE DRIVING. THIS WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, BUT SHOULD NOT HAPPEN AT 13,100 MILES. THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING THE CAR. THE CAR JERKED AND PULLED OVER IMMEDIATELY AND TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP.
ON AT LEAST 5 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS THE FORWARD COLLISION WARNING ON OUR 2017 NISSAN ROGUES (WE OWN TWO) HAS GONE OFF FOR NO APPARENT REASON. SOME WERE ON A HIGHWAY AROUND 55MPH, SOME WERE ON RESIDENTIAL ROADS AROUND 25MPH. IF WE IGNORE IT AND DON'T HIT THE BRAKES IT ENDS UP BRAKING THE CAR AUTOMATICALLY.
My passenger side warning light stays on continuously, even when someone is using it. I've ask dealership several times and last time they finally checked and said that something to do wiring and that if I had a crash that either airbags will deploy. And that it will cost me almost 3000.00 to fix. Is this something that is part of a recall that can be fixed? Without me paying for? That requires alot of money out of my pocket that I don't have. Thanks

MONDAY, 04/15/2019 @ APPROXIMATELY 1000 HOURS CST, WHILE DRIVING E-BOUND ON I274 (CHICAGO) OUR VEHICLE'S (2017 NISSAN ROGUE, AWD) BRAKING SYSTEM ENGAGED (HARD) ON ITS OWN AND THE STEERING TEMPORARILY LOCKED UP. E-BOUND I274 TRAFFIC WAS CONGESTED AND MOVING @ AROUND 45 TO 50 MPH. WE WERE TRAVELING @ A SAFE DISTANCE (ESTIMATE 3 CAR LENGTHS) FROM THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF US. VEHICLES BEHIND US HAD TO BRAKE HARD TO AVOID REAR-ENDING OUR VEHICLE. DRIVING OUR VEHICLE WAS MY SPOUSE, I WAS IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AND MY 12 YEAR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER WAS IN THE REAR SEAT (DRIVER'S SIDE). MY BEST GUESS ...THE UNASSISTED BRAKING ACTION AND LOCKED STEERING SEEM TO LAST 3-5 SECONDS. WE IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED THE DEALER OF PURCHASE TO INQUIRE AS TO THE SEVERITY OF THE PROBLEM. THEY WERE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE SYMPTOMS/PROBLEM. WE SCHEDULED A SERVICE APPOINTMENT FOR THE 16TH OF APRIL, 2019. TOOK THE VEHICLE IN AND THEY COULD NOT DETERMINE THE PROBLEM CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO BRAKE ON IT'S OWN. THEY DID NOTE, ON THE WORK ORDER/INVOICE THAT THERE IS A "TSB RELATED TO .ACTIVATION OF FEB FEW AEB". $95.00 CHARGE ASSESSED FOR THEIR SERVICE. THURSDAY, 18 APRIL 2019 @ APPROXIMATELY 2300 HOURS MY SPOUSE AND GRANDDAUGHTER WERE RETURNING FROM A PLAY, WHILE PULLING INTO THE DRIVEWAY OF OUR RESIDENCE OUR VEHICLE REPEATED EMERGENCY BRAKING AND LOCKED STEERING ACTION. THIS UNASSISTED ACTION WHILE DRIVING IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!!!!!
THIS HAS OCCURRED WHILE IN MOTION ON BOTH A HIGHWAY AND A CITY STREET, ESPECIALLY AFTER RAINING. THE AEB SENSORS, PARTICULARLY THE FRONT ONE, WILL START BEEPING ALTHOUGH THERE IS NO ONE IN FRONT OF ME. IT HAS HAPPENED TWICE WHERE THE FRONT SENSOR ACTIVATED AND THE CARS EMERGENCY BRAKE TURNED ON UNEXPECTEDLY. WE WERE GOING ROUGHLY 35 MILES PER HOUR.
MY NISSAN BRAKES AT A SET OF EMERGENCY LIGHTS OUTSIDE A FIRE STATION. I REPORTED IT TO NISSAN WITHIN A MONTH OF GETTING MY CAR AND WAS TOLD THEY WERE LOOKING IN TO IT. THE DEALER THOUGHT I WAS MAKING IT UP. IT DOESN'T HAPPEN EVERY TIME, BUT DAY OR NIGHT SEEMS TO BE LESS IF I GO FASTER THAN THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT. I GOT A LETTER THAT I CAN HAVE IT 'FIXED' BUT THE DEALERSHIP DIDN'T HAVE A CLUE HOW TO DO IT, THEY HAD MY CAR OVERNIGHT AND SAID THEY HAD TO ORDER A PART, THEN WHEN I COMPLAINED MIRACULOUSLY THE PART WAS IN AND I NEEDED TO BRING MY CAR BACK, BUT WAS TOLD 'THIS IS NOT A RECALL, IT IS JUST FIX. I THINK IT NEEDS TO BE A RECALL. I HAVE SEEN CARS SWERVE BEHIND ME AS MY CAR DOES SUCH A SUDDEN UNEXPECTED BRAKING. THE ROAD IS A RURAL ROAD, SPEED LIMIT IS 35. THE FIRE STATION LIGHTS ARE CONSTANT BLINKING YELLOW AND WILL TURN RED SO THAT TRAFFIC STOPS FOR EMERGENCY VEHICLES TO GET OUT ON THE ROAD IN AN EMERGENCY. MY CAR AUTO BRAKES ON THE YELLOW BLINKING HAS DONE IT ABOUT 100 TIMES SINCE OWNING THE CAR
SMALL PARTICLES WERE ABLE TO PASS THROUGH CONDENSER AND HIT WHERE THE FREON IS STORED WHICH MADE THE FREON LEAK. NOT SURE WHERE OR WHAT KIND OF PARTICLES COULD PASS THROUGH THE CONDENSER WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. DID GO TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THEY WERE UNSURE OF WHAT COULD GO THROUGH THE CONDENSER TO CAUSE THE DAMAGE. THERE ARE SMALL HOLES IN MY CONDENSER.
AS I WAS DRIVING THROUGH THE PARKING GARAGE AT WORK, GOING ABOUT 20 MPH, MY CAR SUDDENLY AND VERY ABRUPTLY CAME TO A SCREECHING HALT. MY AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKE WARNING HAD BEEPED ONLY TWICE BEFORE THE CAR STOPPED. THERE WAS NOTHING IN FRONT OF MY CAR. NO PEOPLE OR CAR OR ANYTHING. IF ANYBODY HAD BEEN BEHIND ME THEY MIGHT HAVE RUN INTO ME. THIS INCIDENT HAPPENED ABOUT A WEEK AFTER I TOOK THE CAR TO NISSAN TO HAVE THEM FIX THE FAULTY FRONT SENSOR. THEY HAD FIRST TRIED AN UPDATE AND THEN DECIDED TO REPLACE THE SENSOR. OBVIOUSLY THIS DID NOTHING SINCE THE SENSOR STILL DID NOT WORK A WEEK LATER. I TOOK THE CAR BACK IN AGAIN AND NISSAN SAID NOTHING COULD BE DONE. THEY TOLD ME I HAD THE OPTION TO TURN THE FEATURE OFF BUT EVERY TIME I TURN THE CAR ON I HAVE TO REMEMBER TO TURN THE FEATURE OFF AS IT AUTOMATICALLY TURNS ITSELF BACK ON AGAIN. THIS SEEMS UNACCEPTABLE TO ME THAT I AM PAYING LOTS OF MONEY FOR A CAR WITH A FEATURE THAT HAS ALREADY PUT MY LIFE, AS WELL AS OTHERS' LIVES IN DANGER!
OVER THE LAST MONTH, I CONTINUE TO EXPERIENCE THE FRONT END COLLISION CRASH SENSOR ERRONEOUSLY ENGAGING, ALMOST DAILY. I ALSO GET A FRONT END SENSOR MALFUNCTION WARNING. THE SENSOR WAS SUPPOSEDLY REPLACED TWICE BY THE DEALERSHIP WHILE UNDER WARRANTY, HOWEVER, I STILL CONTINUE TO HAVE THESE ERRORS POP UP. I ALSO HEAR, WHEN BACKING UP, A RUBBING SOUND LIKE THE SUSPENSION IS BAD ON THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. I NOTIFIED THE DEALERSHIP, BUT THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NO ISSUE FOUND. THE DRIVER'S SEAT CONSTANTLY SQUEAKS, LIKE SOMETHING IS LOSE UNDERNEATH (LIKE THE BOLTS ATTACHING IT TO THE FRAME). THERE IS ALSO A SQUEAKING NOISE THAT COMES FROM THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THE SOUND WAS COMING FROM THE PANARAMIC SUNROOF, AND THEY TIGHTENED THE BOLTS, HOWEVER, THE NOISE REMAINS. FREQUENTLY WATER BECOMES TRAPPED IN THE REAR TAIL LIGHTS AFTER GETTING A CAR WASH. THE LIGHTS ARE STILL FUNCTIONAL, FOR THE TIME BEING.

I WAS TRAVELLING IN TEANECK, NJ, GOING EAST ON CHURCHILL ROAD , APPROACHING TTHE INTERSECTION OF WINDSOR ROAD. I ATTEMPTED TO SLOW MY VEHICLE, IN ORDER TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN. I STEPPED ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, BUT THE CAR DID NOT SLOW DOWN OR STOP. AS A RESULT, I WENT THROUGH THE INTERSECTION, HIT THE CURB, AND WENT OFF THE ROAD, FINALLY COMING TO A STOP IN A GRASSY AREA.
ON MARCH 16TH I HAD A ACCIDENT THAT WAS A RESULT OF A KNOWN ISSUE THAT NISSAN IS NOT ADDRESSING (MORE IF I AT WWW.NISSANPROBLEMS.COM/AEB ). BASICALLY, WHEN LEAVING A PARKING GARAGE MY CAR SUDDENLY MADE BEEP BEEP BEEP SOUNDS AND STOPPED ON ITS OWN AND THE CAR BEHIND ME HIT MY CAR. I HAVE ALREADY REACHED TO THE INSURANCE WHERE I WOULD JUST NEED TO PAY $500 DEDUCTIBLE FOR THE FIX HOWEVER THE FIX WOULD ONLY HANDLE THE BUMPER FIXING AND NOT THE FACT THAT THE CAR IS DEFECTIVE. I'D OBVIOUSLY DON'T WANT TO KEEP THIS CAR. IN THIS CASE I'D BE LOOKING FOR ASSISTANCE WITH NISSAN, WITH LEASE TERMINATION AND WITH BODY INJURIES. NISSAN REQUIRES THE CAR TO BE UNTOUCHED FOR THEIR 'INVESTIGATION' IN A CERTIFIED LOCATION (THEY CLAIM MY CURRENT SHOP IS NOT CERTIFIED EVEN THOUGH IT IS LISTED IN THEIR SITE IT IS) WHERE THE ENTIRE PROCESS WOULD TAKE BETWEEN 4-12 WEEKS. DURING THIS TIME THE CAR CAN'T BE TOUCHED AND OF COURSE NOT DRIVEN. NO RESOLUTION OFFERED TO MEANTIME TRANSPORTATION AND EXPENSE COVERAGE.

THEY CLEARED THE SYSTEM AND GAVE IT BACK '12/06/17: BROUGHT MY CAR TO THE SERVICE CENTER, AS ACTIVATED WITH NO CARS AROUND. 'THE SHOP SCANNED THE SYSTEM, SAID THAT THERE WAS A RADAR STAIN. THEY CLEARED THE SYSTEM AND GAVE IT BACK '08/17/2018: BROUGHT MY CAR TO THE SERVICE CENTER, THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE AS PART. THEY REPLACED THE SENOR AND REPROGRAMED THE SYSTEM, CAR WAS GIVEN BACK '01/14/19: AS ACTIVATED WITH NO CARS AROUND IT, INFORMED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID CONTACT CORPORATE. CALLED CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND ASSIGNED A CASE MANAGER (CM) '01/15/19: EXPLAINED MY SITUATION TO THE CM AND SHE EXPLAINED THE PROCESS. SHE INFORMED ME I WOULD HEAR BACK IN 10 DAYS IF NISSAN WOULD BUY BACK MY CAR OR PUT ME IN ANOTHER CAR. THE SERVICE CENTER MANAGER DROVE MY CAR, TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE BUT DIDN'T '01/18/19: CM CALLED AND INFORMED ME I SHOULD HEAR SOMETHING BY 01/23/19 '01/23/19 :CM CALLED AND INFORMED ME THAT I WILL HEAR SOMETHING BY MONDAY '01/28/19: CM CALLED AND INFORMED ME THAT NISSAN WON'T BUY THE CAR BACK OR PUT ME IN ANOTHER CAR. I WAS INFORMED THAT A CORPORATE TECHNICIAN WOULD COME ON 02/07/19 TO INSPECT THE CAR. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER ON 01/29/2019, MY CM MANAGERS CALLED AND INFORMED ME THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO AND I CAN CALL THE BBB '02/07/219:TECHNICIAN CALLED TO GET A SPECIFIC LOCATION OF THE INCIDENT, TO TRY TO REENACT '02/11/19: CM INFORMED ME THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO REENACT THE INCIDENT AND THEY WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO MAKE REPAIRS TO THE CAR '03/07/19: AS ACTIVATED AND NO CARS WERE AROUND IT ' CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND BROUGHT MY CAR TO THE SERVICE CENTER ON 03/12/19. INFORMED THAT THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING AND TO HANDLE WITH CORPORATE

I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR 5 TIMES. THEY DID SENSOR CHANGE TWO TIMES. FIRST TIME THEY DID FRONT SENSOR CHANGE. SECOND TIME THEY DID STEERING SENSOR CHANGE. OTHER TIMES THEY TESTED AND TOLD THERE IS NO ISSUE AS THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE. THIS ISSUE IS NOT BEING HAPPENED FREQUENTLY. LAST NIGHT I FACED THE SAME ISSUE. I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO PROCEED FURTHER.

THE SENSOR WAS REPLACED. LATER, WHILE DRIVING ONTO A FREEWAY, THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE RESTARTED AND WAS TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER. WHILE AT THE DEALER, THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED AND THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
2017 NISSAN ROGUE SL - PLATINUM. FORWARD IMPACT COLLISION SENSOR HAS BEEN HAVING ISSUES FOR EVER A YEAR NOW. IT WAS IN THE SHOP AT THE DEALERSHIP THE WEEK AFTER I BOUGHT IT FOR THIS ISSUE. THE CAR BRAKES ON ITS OWN AND WONT LET YOU DRIVE FORWARD. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND REPORTED IT TO NISSAN USA MULTIPLE TIMES, AND HAVE MULTIPLE CASES OPEN. THE DEALERSHIP HAS HAD IT IN THEIR SHOP 8 TIMES SOON TO BE 9, WHICH IS 8-9 FULL DAYS IN THE SHOP (TAKING IT IN NEXT WEEK TO GET DONE AGAIN). THEY ARE NOW REFUSING TO REPLACE/FIX THE PART FOR FREE. THE CAR HAS THIS PROBLEM WHEN I AM TRYING TO DRIVE. IT HAS HAPPENED ON BACK STREETS, HIGHWAYS, TURNING LEFT, TURNING RIGHT. IT SENSES SOMETHING THAT ISN'T THERE AND ERRORS OUT AND STOPS. 10-30 SECONDS LATER IT LETS YOU GO AGAIN. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING BETWEEN MARCH 2019 AND MAY 2020 NONSTOP REPROGRAMMED MULTIPLE TIMES REPLACED SENSOR 1X (REPLACING FOR THE SECOND TIME NEXT WEEK SO 2X TOTAL REPLACEMENTS ON PART) RE-CALIBRATED MULTIPLE TIMES COMPUTER UPDATED MULTIPLE TIMES. *TR

A PHONE CALL TO NISSAN STATED WE SHOULD BRING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO AGAIN HAVE IT SERVICED AT THE PREVAILING RATE. THE VEHICLE IS 500 MILES OVER THE WARRANTY SO THERE WOULD BE A CHARGE.
BRAKES DID NOT ENGAGE WHEN BRAKING. WAS IN BUMPER TO BUMPER TRAFFIC LET CAR IN FRONT OF ME TO GO A 1.5 CAR LENGTHS BEFORE I TOOK FOOT OF THE BRAKE NEVER HIT THE GAS COASTED UNTIL I WAS 1/2 A CAR LENGTH FROM THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME AND WENT TO HIT THE BRAKES AGAIN AND IT DID NOT ENGAGE CAUSING ME TO HIT THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. MEANWHILE THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY EVEN THOUGH IMPACT SPEED WAS 2 MPH I BELIEVE THE AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE GONE OFF WITH HOW FAR THE HOOD GOT SMASHED.

THIS CAR AS BEEN IN A DEALERSHIP LONGER THEN WHEN I ACTUALLY HAD THE CAR. NISSAN WILL DO NOTHING CAUSE THEY DONT CARE I HAD A BODY SHOP SCAN AND ALL THE CODES CAME UP AND STILL BLAMED MY DRIVING THIS CAR IS UNSAFE AND NISSAN WOULD NOT BUY BACK THR CAR. SO I TRADED IT IN AND NOW IT WILL BE SOMEONE ELSE HEADACHE AS THAT SOUNDS SO BAD. I JUST CAOULS DO ANYTHING AND I PUT MY KIDS EVERYDAY I HAD THIS IN HARMS WAY.
