I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN APRIL. TWO MONTHS LATER I REALIZED THAT WHEN IN DRIVE WHEN I SET MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE I WOULD HEAR A GRINDING NOISE IN THE BACK OF THE CAR. WHEN I WOULD PUT IT IN REVERSE THE NOISE WOULD NOT OCCUR. IT WAS ALWAYS WHEN I WOULD HIT THE BREAKS UNTIL THE CAR CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. IT WOULD NOT MAKE THE NOISE WHEN I HIT THE BREAKS SUDDENLY. WHEN I CALLED NISSAN AND BROUGHT IT IN FOR THEM I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS A FLUID PROBLEM. AFTER 2 WEEKS THE NOISE BEGAN AGAIN, NOW IT HAS STOPPED AND GOES ON AND OFF. ALSO I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE INDICATOR FOR THE PASSENGER AIR BAG WILL BE OFF AT TIMES WHEN THERE IS AN ADULT SITTING IN THE SEAT. THIS ALSO HAPPENS ON AND OFF. I HAVE HAD IT THOUGH, WHERE THE INDICATOR HAS COME ON SAYING THE AIR BAG IS OFF FOR 3 DAYS IN A ROW, HAVING SOMEONE SITTING IN IT. THE THIRD PROBLEM IS THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID DOES NOT SPRAY CORRECTLY. IT POOLS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD AND SO IT DOES NOT CLEAN IT CORRECTLY. FINALLY THE LAST PROBLEM IS THAT I HAVE NOTICED WHEN I FILL UP THE GAS TANK THE AMOUNT OF MILES I GET ARE DIFFERENT EVERY TIME. I HAVE A PARTICULAR ROUTINE EVERYDAY AND EVERY WEEKEND. AT TIMES IT SEEMS I HAVE MORE GAS THAN WHEN I HAVE FILLED IT UP BEFORE. WHEN I HAVE USED THE ECO BUTTON AT TIMES, IT SEEMS THAT ONCE IN A WHILE IT WILL WORK THE WAY IT IS SUPPOSED TOO. MOST OF THE TIME IT SEEMS THAT THE CAR JUST GUZZLES GAS MORE THAN USUAL. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN SENTRA. WHILE DRIVING DOWNHILL AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE ENGINE RPMS INCREASED EXCESSIVELY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, BUT THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,000.
VEHICLE OWNER NOTICE THAT LARGE ABNORMAL CRACKING NOISE FROM PASSENGER SIDE REAR RIGHT DRUM BRAKE. BROUGHT TO NISSAN DEALER AND THEY REPAIR ACCORDING TO SERVICE BULLETIN REFERENCE NO.:NTB13-031 ISSUED ON MARCH 27,2013 CLASSIFICATION BR-13-002 HOWEVER RECURRED ON 6/26/13 SAME LARGE ABNORMAL CRACKING NOISE FROM READ PASSENGER SIDE DRUM BRAKECORRECTIVE ACTION: APPLIED A SMALL AMOUNT OF BRAKE FLUID TO THE BORE OF THE REAR BRAKE WHEEL CYLINDERS. HOWEVER RECURRED ON 6/26/13 SAME LARGE ABNORMAL CRACKING NOISE FROM READ PASSENGER SIDE DRUM BRAKE AND BROUGHT IN NISSAN DEALER ON 6/29/13. VEHICLE STILL AT DEALER AS OF 7/1/13. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED WITHOUT A PASSENGER OCCUPYING THE SEAT. THE CONTACT LATER RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V138000 (AIR BAGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY REPLACED THE AIR BAG SENSORS THAT WERE LOCATED UNDER THE SEAT. THE FAILURE RECURRED FIVE TIMES AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 800.
2013 NISSAN SENTRA ONLY 5 MONTHS OLD WITH 7000 FEEL LIKE A 20 YEAR OLD CAR. EVERY TIME I HIT THE BRAKE TO SLOW DOWN, I HEAR SQUEAKING NOISE AND FEEL LIKE THE PADS ARE GRINDING, I WILL HAVE TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT. OH AND YOU CAN'T LIFT YOU WIPER BLADES BECAUSE THE HOOD IS IN THE WAY. HOW THE HECK ARE YOU SUPPOSE TO CLEAN YOU WINDSHIELD OR REPLACE WIPER BLADES. A/C GOES ON WHEN YOU CHANGE TO DEFROST OR RECIRCULATION AND YOU HAVE TO MANUALLY DISENGAGE WHEN CHANGING MODES. SHOULD HAVE WENT WITH THE COROLLA. *TR
SINCE PURCHASE, THE LIGHT INDICATING "PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF" IS MOSTLY ON EVEN WHEN AN ADULT IS CORRECTLY SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. I CALLED NISSAN AS SOON AS WE BOUGHT IT AND THEY SAID IT HAD TO GO TO THE DEALER FOR A CHECKUP. THE FIRST 3 TIMES WE TOOK IT IN, THEY TOLD US THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG. THE FOURTH TIME, MARCH 22, 2014, THEY TOLD US THEY REPLACED THE DEFECTIVE PART. SOON AFTER WE REALIZED THAT THE PROBLEM PERSISTED. WE TOOK IT IN AGAIN TODAY AND THEY TOLD US THAT, AGAIN, THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE ON THEIR COMPUTER. *TR
THE ISSUE BEGAN ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE. THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WOULD RANDOMLY GO OFF, WHILE THE PASSENGER WAS SITTING IN THE SEAT. SHORTLY AFTER NOTICING THIS NISSAN PUT OUT A RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE. WE HAVE NOW TAKEN IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP 2 TIMES, AND ALTHOUGH THEY TOLD ME THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED, BOTH TIMES, IT CONTINUES TO EXIST. I HAVE SPOKEN TO NISSAN CORPORATE AROUND A DOZEN TIMES. THEY HAVE NO SENSE OF URGENCY, AND EACH CONVERSATION HAS TO HAPPEN 48 HOURS APART, FOR SOME STRANGE REASON. I AM STILL WAITING FOR ANOTHER CALLBACK SO A SPECIALIST CAN NOW COME TO LOOK AT MY VEHICLE. AN APPOINTMENT LIKE THIS TAKES A MORE THAN 4 WEEKS TO ARRANGE; AGAIN, NO URGENCY. EACH TIME THEY MAKE ME SCHEDULE SOMETHING, I HAVE TO TAKE A DAY OFF OF WORK, BECAUSE THEY CANNOT ACCOMMODATE EVENING SCHEDULES. I HAVE EXPRESSED MY CONCERN OVER THE DANGERS WITH THIS ISSUE, YET IT SEEMS AS THOUGH NISSAN DOES NOT CARE. QUITE FRANKLY, I AM NERVOUS TO HAVE PEOPLE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT OF MY VEHICLE. IT IS A BIT STRANGE TO HAVE MY WIFE SIT IN THE BACK SEAT, BUT THIS BEATS HAVING TO WORRY ABOUT DANGERS OF SITTING IN THE FRONT SEAT. *TR
WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKE PEDAL DECELERATING THE CAR, THE CAR SUDDENLY HAD A VERY LOUD GRINDING NOISE ON THE REAR PASSENGER WHEEL, LIKE THE BRAKE ROTOR GRINDING AGAINST SOME METAL PARTS THAT BROKE LOOSE INSIDE. AFTER STOPPING THE CAR INSPECTING PASSENGER REAR WHEEL AND FOUND NOTHING, I GOT BACK TO THE CAR SLOWLY ACCELERATING IT. THE LOUD GRINDING NOISE GOT WORSE AND I FELT THE BRAKE PEDAL KINDA LIGHT (LIKE NOT ALL 4 BRAKES ARE BEING APPLIED). I SUSPECT THE BRAKE SHOES OR COMPONENTS BROKE APART INSIDE THE BRAKE DRUM OF THE REAR WHEEL (PASSENGER SIDE). FORTUNATELY, I WAS AT SLOW SPEED (20-30MPH) AND ONLY ONE BLOCK AWAY FROM HOME. WILL HAVE IT TOWED TO THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALER TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT AS I ONLY HAD THIS CAR FOR ABOUT 7-8 MONTH FROM BRAND NEW. SINCE THIS IS AN ALL-NEW DESIGN 2013 SENTRA, I AM CONCERN THIS IS A FLAW ON THE BRAKE DESIGN THAT COULD CAUSE EXTREME DANGEROUS HAZARDS ON THE ROAD. THOUGH MY CAR SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER MANUFACTURER 36-MONTH BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY, I AM STRONGLY ASKING TO HAVE THE REAR BRAKE SYSTEM ON THE 2013 NISSAN SENTRA INVESTIGATED AND RECALLED / CORRECTED IF NECESSARY. THIS WOULD HELP NOT ONLY PROTECT MY FAMILY, MY INVESTMENT, BUT ALSO OTHERS FROM RUNNING INTO THE SAME INCIDENT OPERATING THIS PARTICULAR MODEL IN THE FUTURE. *TR
THIS IS A FOLLOW UP ON THE SAFETY COMPLAINT I PREVIOUSLY FILED ON 6/2/2013, WHEN MY SENTRA 2013 SUDDENLY HAD BIG GRINDING NOISE ON THE PASSENGER REAR WHEEL WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKE PEDAL DECELERATING THE CAR. AFTER HAVING THE CAR TOWED TO THE LOCAL DEALER, THE DEALER DIAGNOSTIC AND CONFIRMED THE REAR BRAKE BROKE APART INSIDE THE REAR BRAKE DRUM DAMAGED BRAKE SHOE, BRAKE SELF-ADJUSTED ASSEMBLY, ANTI-SHOE RATTLE CLIP AND PIN. THOUGH NISSAN COVERED THE REPAIR, REPLACEMENT PARTS, AND TOWING COST, IT STILL COST ME ONE DAY OFF WORK AND THE CAR HAD TO SIT AT THE DEALER COUPLE DAYS WAITING FOR THE REPLACEMENT PARTS. I THEN LOOKED UP THE INTERNET AND FOUND THE SENTRA 2013 REAR BRAKE PART DIAGRAM (SEE LINK BELOW). WHAT REALLY SCARE ME IS THE NEW 'U' SHAPE ANTI-SHOE RATTLE SPRINGS / CLIPS (INSTEAD OF THE TRADITIONAL CIRCLE / WASHER SHAPE ONES TYPICALLY FOUND ON MOST VEHICLES) THAT ARE USED TO LOCK THE BRAKE SHOES IN PLACE WITH THE ANTI-SHOE RATTLE PINS. THESE U-SHAPE ANTI-RATTLE SHOE SPRINGS MIGHT COME OFF IF THE CAR RUNNING ON BAD ROADS OFTEN OR BIG BUMPS OVER THE TIME. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN SENTRA. WHILE DRIVING WITH AN OCCUPANT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT, THE SEAT BELT AND AIR BAG WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. ALSO, WHEN THE SEAT BELT WAS FASTENED, THE WARNING LIGHTS REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SIX TIMES FOR THE FAILURE. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE SENSORS COULD NOT DETECT THAT THE CONTACT'S WIFE WAS IN THE VEHICLE BECAUSE SHE WEIGHED 110 LBS. THE CONTACT FELT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 600.
EVERY SINCE I HAVE HAD THE 2013 NISSAN SENTRA THE BRAKES MAKE AN EXTREMELY LOUD SOUND WHEN APPLIED. THE DEALER INSISTS THAT NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THEM BUT, I BEG TO DIFFER. THE LOUD SCRUBBING SOUND WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED IS NOT NORMAL FOR ANY NEW CAR. I AM HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. *TR
MY 2013 NISSAN SENTRA WITH 142 MILES ALREADY HAS PROBLEM WITH THE SERVICE BRAKES. I WAS COMPLETELY STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. WHILE WAITING FOR THE LIGHT TO CHANGE I NOTICED THAT MY CAR STARTED TO MOVE FORWARD. MY FIRST REACTION WAS TO PRESS A LITTLE BIT HARDER ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE CAR STOPPED, BUT A FEW SECONDS LATER THE CAR STARTED TO MOVE AGAIN. I KEPT PRESSING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL A LITTLE BIT HARDER EVERY TIME IT STARTED TO MOVE, UNTIL THE PEDAL REACHED THE MAXIMUM TRAVEL, ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM. EVEN WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL PRESSED ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM, THE CAR KEPT ON MOVING FORWARD. AT THAT MOMENT I WAS INCHING AWAY INTO THE INCOMING TRAFFIC, SO I HAD TO PULL THE PARKING BRAKE TO STOP THE CAR FROM MOVING FORWARD. THIS INCIDENT WAS VERY SCARY TO SAY THE LEAST. NOW MY CAR IS AT THE DEALER IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WAITING FOR A NEW MASTER CYLINDER. WHAT I CANNOT UNDERSTAND IS HOW SUCH AN IMPORTANT / CRITICAL SYSTEM OF A BRAND NEW CAR COULD FAIL IN 4 DAYS, AND LESS THAN 150 MILES. ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED ANYTHING LIKE THIS? *TR
1ST INCIDENT WITH OUR NEW 2013 NISSAN SENTRA OCCURRED @ 247 MI., IN OUR POSSESSION LESS THAN 1 WEEK, GOING 50MPH (2 CHILDREN IN CAR WITH ME), CAR JUST SHUT OFF. DEALER RESET COMPUTER SYSTEM. IT HAS BEEN DOWN HILL SINCE, I TOOK IT IN TODAY FOR THE 5TH TIME SINCE IT WAS PURCHASED 3.5 MONTHS AGO (IT NOW HAS 3700MI). REPEATED ISSUES WITH RPM'S RUNNING HIGH ANYWHERE BETWEEN 2,000 & 4,000 OR AT AN ALL MOST STOP WILL FLUTTER DOWN TO 0 LIKE IT'S GOING TO STALL. CRACKLING/RATTLING NOISES FROM THE DRIVERSIDE DASHBOARD. NOW ALSO COMING FROM THE A-PILLAR (?). ISSUES WITH SPEAKERS (STATIC/CRACKLING NOISES) HAD THE SAME BREAK AND AIRBAG LIGHT ISSUES. THERE IS NOW GROWLING NOISES COMING FROM FRONT, CAR SEEMS TO "BUCK" AROUND 2-4K RPM'S. OH YEAH MY DRIVER DOOR HANDLE IS NOW FALLING APART. DID I COVER ALL THE PROBLEMS I HAVE HAD WITH A $20+ BRAND NEW CAR???? I THINK SO, BUT THEN AGAIN WE HAVEN'T OWNED IT ALL THAT LONG! I DID OPEN A CLAIM WITH NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS WHEN IT WAS IN ON IT'S 3RD VISIT, I WAS DENIED A REPURCHASE, BUT REST ASSURED A NISSAN CERTIFIED REPAIR SHOP WILL FIX ANY PROBLEMS. WAITING ON DEALERSHIP TO DECIDE IF THEY CAN DO ANYTHING?! NEXT STEP ATTORNEY!!!!! *TR
TAKATA RECALL. WHEN YU TAKE OFF & IT GETS UP IN SPEED THE CAR JERK. WHEN YOU STOP AT A RED LIGHT OR STOP SIGN & THEN GO, IT JERK LIKE IT'S TRYING TO TAKE OFF. BUT IT BARELY MOVE & JERK PRETTY HARD. IT SEEM LIKE THE CAR TRANSMISSION IS NOT CHANGING OUT. WHILE THE CAR IS JERKING WHEN YOU TAKE OFF. IT'S LIKE THE IDLES UP & DOWN. WHEN YOU BRAKE IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU WALKING ON SQUEAKY HARD WOOD FLOOR. THE AIRBAG DOES NOT WORK AT ALL.I
FUNNY, I HAVE HAD MY 2013 SENTRA TO FALHABER NISSAN 6 TIMES FOR THIS SAME BRAKE ISSUE, AIR BAG (THERE WAS A RECALL ON IT), AND THE A-PILLAR ON THE DRIVER SIDE KEEPS COMING LOOSE. TO DATE I STILL HAVE THE GRINDING NOISE AND BRAKE ISSUE ALONG WITH THE A-PILLAR COMING LOOSE WHICH THE AIR BAG IS LOCATED BEHIND. I HAVE BEEN TOLD IT WAS IN MY TRUNK, MY LICENSE PLATE VIBRATING AND EVEN STATED TO ME THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW CAR, WHY LIE TO ME? FIX THE PROBLEM OR RETURN MY MONEY IS HOW I FEEL. MY SAFETY AND OTHERS WITH ME IS TOO IMPORTANT. I HAVE ALSO EXPERIENCED THE DECREASE IN ACCELERATION THANKFULLY, NOT WHILE IN TRAFFIC. AGAIN, ANOTHER LIE AFTER READING ALL THESE POSTS. I HAVE FILED FOR THE LEMON LAW REFUND. *TR

THE CONTACT RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V069000 (AIR BAGS). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO INSPECTED THE ODS SENSORS AND PERFORMED A SOFTWARE UPDATE. HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,000.
RECALLED AT 3/16/2014 : FOR AIRBAG PERSISTENT AIRBAG LIGHT ON INDICATED PASSENGER FRONT SEAT AIRBAG OFF SINCE I BOUGHT THIS NEW CAR AT ALHAMBRA NISSAN IN JAN 2013. CONTINUE TO HAVE THIS ISSUE AFTER FEW MONTHS I PURCHASED IT. MULTIPLE TIME I HAVE BROUGHT THIS CAR TO DEALERSHIP TO REPAIR , CAR FAIL TO BE REPAIRED. FAIR TO REPAIRED EVEN AFTER RECALL AT 3/16/2014. STILL HAVING THE SAME ISSUE NOW. *TR
TAKADA RECALL, MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR AN AIRBAG RECALL BUT IS NOT LISTED AS AN AFFECTED VEHICLE WHEN I CHECK THE VIN #, ALSO, THE CENTER SEAT BELT IN THE REAR SEAT HAS NEVER WORKED, THE SEAT BELT WILL NOT LATCH, THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE AND ALSO A VIOLATION OF THE LAW DUE TO SEAT BELT LAWS.
I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 4/26/13 UPON HEARING A RUBBING NOISE IN THE BACK WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED AT 20 MPH & LOWER SPEEDS. FIRST TIME DEALERSHIP COULDN'T "HEAT" OR FIND A PROBLEM. BROUGHT IT BACK IN ON 5/10/13 FOR SAME PROBLEM. SHOP FIREMAN VERIFIED NOISE. DETERMINED IT WAS A REAR WHEEL BEARING. BROUGHT THE CAR BACK TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT ON 6/4/13 FOR SAME PROBLEM . NISSAN SAID REAR BRAKES NEEDED MORE LUBE. PROBLEM CONTINUED AFTER. ON 9/6/13 TOOK CAR BACK TO DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR SAME PROBLEMS. NISSAN IS NOW SAYING REAR WHEEL CYLINDERS SHOULD BE REPLACED BUT THAT IT IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE. WAITING ON PARTS TO COME IN TO FIX PROBLEM.
I BOUGHT MY 2013 NISSAN SENTRA SR FROM TOWNE AUTO BROKERS 03/2013 I TEST DROVE IT AND IT HAD NO SHIFTING PROBLEMS AT THAT TIME. 2 WEEKS LATER WHILE I'M DRIVING IT THE SENTRA STARTED JERKING AND IDLING ERRATICALLY, THE RPM TACHOMETER RED LINED 3 TIMES WITHOUT THE GAS PEDAL BEING DEPRESSED!! WHILE REDLINING THE SENTRA'S TRANSMISSION SHUDDER WITH THE ERRATIC JERKING ALL THE WHILE DECELERATING BEFORE CATCHING 3RD GEAR AT 4,000 RPM. I WAS IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC 3 MILES FROM HOME SO I DECIDED TO TRY AND MAKING IT HOME. WHILE STOPPED AT THE STOP LIGHT THE SENTRA IDLED NORMAL, THEN AT THE GREEN LIGHT WHEN I DEPRESSED THE GAS PEDAL NOTHING HAPPENED( NO POWER AT ALL AND THE RPM DIDN'T RISE) I WAS LITERALLY STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION NOT ABLE TO MOVE MY NISSAN SENTRA UNDER ITS OWN POWER!!! I'M AFRAID THAT THIS IS A TRANSMISSION ISSUE THAT THE MANUFACTURER WAS WELL AWARE OF BEFORE INSTALLATION IN NISSAN SENTRA AND ALL OTHER MODELS WITH THIS CVT TRANSMISSION. I BELIEVE THE NISSAN CORPORATION SHOULD RECALL ALL CVT TRANSMISSION DUE TO MECHANICAL FAILURE RESULTING IN LACK OF POWER.
I WAS TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE ON 4/6 HEADED TO SC AT 5 AM WHEN THE CAR STARTED TO DECELERATE BY ITSELF. WITH THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR THE CAR WOULD NOT GO PAST 45. THEN SUDDENLY IT WILL TAKE OFF. THE CAR DOES THIS AT RANDOM AND IT CANNOT BE DETECTED ON THE COMPUTER ACCORDING TO NISSAN. FRIDAY NIGHT THE CAR DID THE SAME THING. THIS TIME WAS WORST AND I WAS IN TRAFFIC WITH PEOPLE BEHIND ME. AS I STARTED TO PULL OFF FROM THE LIGHT THE CAR WOULD NOT GO PAST 25. I IMMEDIATELY PUT THE FLASHERS ON PRAYED THAT I DID NOT GET HIT FROM BEHIND. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR AND I AM CURRENTLY PAYING FOR A RENTAL BECAUSE NISSAN LITHIA SPRINGS REFUSED TO GIVE ME A RENTAL OR LOANER. I AM VERY DISTRESSED ABOUT THIS CAR. NISSAN LITHIA SPRINGS SAID THEY WOULD TRADE ME OUT THE CAR BUT WANTED TO TREAT IT AS A TRADE. WHY WOULD I PAY FOR TWO CARS WHEN MY SENTRA IS OBVIOUSLY A LEMON. I AM OTALLY FRUSTRATED I HAVE A BRAND NEW CAR THAT I CANNOT DRIVE AND KNOW ONE SEEMS TO CARE. THE CAR WAS PURCHASED ON 3/18. WENT TO SERVICE 4/8 PICKED UP 4/9 THEY SAID THAT IT WAS A IDLE PROGRAM. RETURNED TO SERVICE 4/11 AND WAS PICKED UP 4/24. I TOOK THE CAR BACK ON 4/26 AND IT IS STILL THERE. I HAVE TRIED CONTACTING NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND THEY DON'T RETURN PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS.
I PURCHASE THIS AS A BRAND NEW VEHICLE LAST MONTH FROM A NISSAN DEALER. TODAY MORNING WHEN I LEFT HOME AT 5:40AM THE TEMPERATURE WAS AROUND 25F AND WHEN I SWITCHED ON THE CAR AND PULLED IT TO THE DRIVE MODE SUDDENLY THE ENGINE STOPPED BY ITSELF. I THEN PULLED IT BACK IN THE PARKING GEAR AND REIGNED THE ENGINE AND LEFT HOME. I REACHED OUTSIDE MY HOUSE STOPPED TO TAKE A LEFT TURN AND THE CAR STOPPED AGAIN! I FEEL SCARED DRIVING THIS CAR NOW ON FREEWAY AS I FEEL IT MAY STOP ANYTIME AND I MIGHT GET INTO A BIG CRASH. THERE IS A RECALL LETTER I RECEIVED ON THIS CAR YESTERDAY AND IT SAID THE FIRST PROBLEM I STATED ABOVE WHEN THE CAR IS MOVED FROM P TO D SOMETIMES IT STOPS BUT NOT THAT IT WOULD EVER STOP WHILE IN MOTION WHICH IS VERY VERY SCARY. THE PASSENGER AIRBAG IS DEACTIVATED LIGHT COMES ON RANDOMLY. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER FOR A RECALL ON THIS MATTER. AFTER THE SOFTWARE UPGRADE, THE LIGHT SHOWING THE PASSENGER AIRBAG DEACTIVATED STARTED COMING ON RANDOMLY. SOMETIMES WITH PEOPLE SITTING IN THE SEAT IT WOULD ALSO COME ON. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER THE OTHER DAY AND THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID HE CALIBRATED IT SHOULDN'T HAPPEN ANYMORE. TWO DAYS LATER IT CAME ON AGAIN.. WITH ALL THE PROBLEMS WITH AIRBAGS, THIS IS VERY SCARY. EVEN IF THE LIGHT STOPS COMING ON, HOW WILL I KNOW IF IT IS REALLY FIXED. *TR
TOOK OFF FROM A STOP SIGN AND MY CAR STALLED. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND ON AGAIN AND IT RAN FINE. THIS ISN'T THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME, BUT THE OTHERS WERE WHEN IT WAS PRETTY COLD OUTSIDE AND I DEEMED THAT THE REASON FOR THE STALL. NOW I BELIEVE IT HAS TO BE SOMETHING MORE. *TR
I WAS WAITING AT A RED LIGHT TO MAKE A LEFT TURN. ONCE THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND I STEPPED ON THE ACCELERATOR, THE CAR STARTED TO JERK AND LOST POWER. IT DID NOT TURN COMPLETELY OFF BUT IT WOULD NOT DRIVE. I HAD TO PUT MY HAZARD LIGHTS ON TO AVOID BEING REAR ENDED BY THE VEHICLE DIRECTLY BEHIND ME THAT WAS ALSO MAKING A LEFT TURN. I OWNED THE CAR FOR LESS THAN 24 HOURS AT THAT POINT. IT ONLY HAD 152 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. THE DEALERSHIP SENT A TOW. THE DIAGNOSIS WAS THAT THE SOFTWARE NEEDED TO BE UPDATED. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW NISSAN CAN SELL A CAR THAT ISN'T PROPERLY PROGRAMMED? WHY WASN'T THE PROGRAMMING CHECKED PRIOR TO ME DRIVING IT OFF THE LOT? PURCHASED 2013 NISSAN SENTRA IN LATE FEB 2013. WITHIN A FEW WEEKS THE PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON WHILE I HAD MY WIFE OR MY SON THE CAR. BOTH ARE AROUND 140 POUNDS. I HAVE EVERYTHING RESET/REPROGRAMMED AT THE DEALERSHIP. WORKED FINE FOR A FEW MORE WEEKS, THEN SAME PROBLEM. HAD THE RECALL WORK DONE. WORK FINE FOR ANOTHER FEW WEEKS, THEN SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE HAD THIS BRAND NEW CAR BACK 6 TIMES TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY HAVE DONE EVERYHTING THEY KNOW TO DO. I HAVE PROVIDED VIDEOS TO THEM EACH TIME IT HAPPENS. MOST RECENT TIME (#7) HAPPENED A WEEK OR SO AGO (NO IN AUG 2013). WAS ON ABOUT A 15 MINUTE TRIP WITH MY SON IN THE CAR AND THE LIGHT WAS ON THE ENTIRE TIME. DEALERSHIP ASKED ME TO BRING THE CAR IN TO CHECK THE CODES. NOW, MIRACULOUSLY, THERE ARE NO CODES, SO NISSAN IS TELLING THEM THAT NOTHING IS WRONG WITH MY CAR. MEANWHILE, I CONTINUE TO TAKE VIDEOS OF THE INCIDENTS AS THEY HAPPEN. BUT, NO ONE CAN HELP. NOW IN THE PROCESS OF DEMANDING A NEW CAR FROM THE DEALERSHIP WITH NO MONEY OUT OF MY POCKET SINCE THIS HAPPENED VERY SOON AFTER BUYING. I DOUBT I'LL GET SATISFACTION. FIRST PEOPLE TO BE SUED IF I'M EVER IN AN ACCIDENT AND THAT AIR BAG DOESN'T OPEN WILL BE THE DEALERSHIP AND NISSAN. WHEN I AM STOPPED AT A LIGHT, THE CAR SEEMS TO CREEP FORWARD WHEN BRAKE PEDAL DEPRESSED. I NEED TO CONTINUALLY APPLY MORE PRESSURE AND THE PEDAL BECOMES SPONGY. ALSO, I NOW NOTICE THAT WHEN STOPPED OR GOING SLOW, ENGINE FUMES ARE COMING FROM MY AIR/HEATING VENTS. DON'T KNOW IF ITS EXHAUST OR AN OIL LEAK SOMEWHERE. THEY SAID IT IS A FAULTY CENSOR AND THAT THE PASSENGER SEAT CUSHION NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, HOWEVER THE PARTS ARE ON BACKORDER WITH NO DEFINITE TIME LINE. *TR

THE CONTACT HAD TO INCREASE THE BRAKING DISTANCE IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ALSO HEARD A LOUD METAL GRINDING SOUND NEAR THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE BRAKE SENSOR WAS REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE PUSH BUTTON START WAS NOT REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000.
THE PASSENGERS SEAT AIR BAG SENSOR DOES NOT RECOGNIZE WHEN THERE IS SOMEONE SITTING AND WILL NOT ACTIVATE. I TOOK THE CAR TO SERVICE AND THE GUY TOLD ME THAT MAYBE IT WAS BECAUSE I WAS TOO SKINNY AND MAYBE THE SENSOR DID NOT RECOGNIZE THAT THERE WAS SOMEONE IS ACTUALLY SITTING IN THE PASSENGERS SEAT. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE IN A CAR ACCIDENT IT WILL PROBABLY NOT WORK. THE CAR ALSO HAVE AN ANNOYING NOISE EACH TIME I HIT THE BREAKS IN THE BACK RIGHT SIDE OF THE CAR. IT HAVE BEEN 3 MONTHS AND 3 SERVICE VISITS AND SEVERAL CALLS TO SERVICE, DISTRIBUTORS, ETC. AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED AN ANSWER ON HOW OR WHEN THEY WILL FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY TOLD ME TO KEEP USING THE CAR BECAUSE IT WAS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE, BUT THE BRAKES HAVE GONE BLANK TWICE MAKING ME VERY NERVOUS OF USING THE CAR. STILL NO ANSWER FROM NISSAN. *TR

THE DEALER CLEANED AND GREASED THE REAR BRAKES HOWEVER, THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE REAR BRAKES STILL WOULD NOT DISENGAGE WHEN ACTIVATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 11,518.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 419 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE.
SINCE 6/15/2013 REAR PASSENGER SIDE DRUM BRAKES MAKING ABNORMAL NOISE. FINALLY NISSAN(HUDSON NISSAN) REPLACED PART NO. 44100-3SG0A CYLINDER REAR ON 7/11/2013. ALMOST ONE MONTH NISSAN DID NOT REPAIR AND ASK ME TO DRIVE. ON 7/24/13 DURING THE DRIVING, BRAKE WAS EXTREMELY LOOSE AND PRESS PAD ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOWER TO STOP THE VEHICLE @ 4224(MIL). NISSAN CALLED AND NO ABNORMALITY FOUND. NO ROOT CAUSE FOUND, NO CORRECTIVE ACTION RESULTS RE-OCCURRENCE AND THIS IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. *TR
