CAR IS LESS THEN 100K MILES TRANSMISSION COMPLETELY STOPS WORKING LEAVING US STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF ON COMING TRAFFIC DURING A TURN.
MY COMPLAINT SEEMS TO BE THE SAME AS EVERYONE ELSE WITH THIS VEHICLE....A FAULTY TRANSMISSION! I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW NISSAN ISN'T REPLACING THEIR FAULTY EQUIPMENT! OF COURSE AS WE ARE JUST OUT OF THE WARRANTY, IT IS NOT THEIR PROBLEM! MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING THE CAR ON THE HIGHWAY AND HAD TO GET OFF SINCE THE CAR WOULD NO LONGER ACCELERATE OVER 40MPH. THE RMP GAUGE WOULD GO BUT THE CAR WOULDN'T! IT IS VERY DISAPPOINTING TO KNOW THAT NISSAN ISN'T BEING HELD MORE ACCOUNTABLE FOR SUCH A MASSIVE ERROR IN THEIR MANUFACTURING.
OUR CVT TRANSMISSION JUST LET GO ON A 2014 SENTRA SR WITH 89,000. IT WAS SLIPPING, BUCKING AND STALLING THE CAR. TOWED IT TO THE DEALER SAID THE COST WOULD BE $2200 TO REPLACE THE VALVE BODY AND A EXHAUST TIMING SOLENOID. IF THAT DIDN'T FIX IT, (I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $2200) IT WOULD NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION WHICH WOULD COST ABOUT $4300. I CALLED NISSAN CORPORATE BUT THEY WERE OF NO HELP. THEY SAID IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY. THEY DIDN'T EVEN OFFER TO PAY 50%. I HAVE SEEN A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH THE CVT TRANSMISSION SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE. THIS IS OUR 5TH NISSAN. NEVER WILL I BUY A NISSAN VEHICLE.
CAR STARTED JERKING SO TOOK IT IN TO GET SERVICE , A TRANSMISSION SERVICE WAS DONE BUT MECHANIC MADE US AWARE THAT THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE NISSAN SENTRA FROM 2013-2016 AND THAT NISSAN HAVE NOT DONE NOTHING YET . CAR IS GETTING WORST AND I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO REPLACE A 4K TRANSMISSION AS I AM A FULL TIME STUDENT
WHEN MY VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, MY PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT DID NOT TURN OFF WHILE I HAD A PASSENGER IN THE CAR WITH THEIR SEATBELT ON. I HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE FOR MONTHS AND HAS NOT BEEN FIXED.
SENSOR/WARNING/CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS APPEAR TO NOT WORK. I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY WHEN MY VEHICLE STARTED TO SHIFT ERRATICALLY, THE CAR WOULD THEN BARELY MOVE WHEN PRESSING GAS. AFTER TRYING TO ACCELERATE MORE, THE VEHICLE DID NOT MOVE AT ALL. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS SUCH AS A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AT ALL WHICH MADE ME BELIEVE THERE WAS NOTHING SERIOUS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. WHEN IT WAS INSPECTED BY NISSAN TECHNICIANS, THEY SAID THE TRANSMISSION WAS COMPLETELY BAD AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE IF THE TRANSMISSION IS FAULTY AND THE FACT THAT THERE WAS NO INDICATION THAT SOMETHING WRONG CAUSE ME SERIOUS POTENTIAL DANGER AS I WAS STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY, UNABLE TO MOVE. BECAUSE THERE WAS NO INDICATION THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION, THIS MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO FIX THE ISSUE EARLY ON SO THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED.
HAD MY CAR ON THE HIGHWAY OCT.13,2018 FOR A 2HR TRIP...1HR INTO TRIP AND MY CAR KNOCKED OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL AND BEGAN JERKING WITH RPMS JUMPING UP AND DOWN. ON RETURN TRIP IT DID THE SAME THING, BUT NO WARNING LIGHTS EVER APPEARED ON DASH. WHEN CHECKED, NO RED FLAGS AND AFTER A DAY OR 2 AROUND TOWN RPMS DID NOT JUMP. NOV.22,2018(JUST A LITTLE OVER 1 MONTH) I PUT MY CAR ON THE HIGHWAY FOR THE SAME TRIP AND WITHIN AN HOUR THE CAR KNOCKED OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL, BEGAN JERKING AND RPMS WERE JUMPING UP AND DOWN. ON THE RETURN TRIP BACK, 1HR AND A HALF INTO TRIP, MY CAR LOST ALL ACELERATION POWER..PEDAL TO THE FLOOR AND IT CONTINUED TO DROP SPEED FROM 70MPH TO 45 BEFORE I TURNED ON HAZARDS AND STOPPED ON THE SHOULDER. THEN FINALLY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT POPS ON! BUT MY DAUGHTER AND I WERE NOW STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE BUSY HIGHWAY. MY CAR HIT 75K MILES DURING THIS 2ND TRIP, SO FIRST TIME WAS UNDER 75K. AFTER SPENDING OVER AN HOUR HELPLESS, THE CAR JUMPED BACK INTO GEAR AND ALLOWED ME TO DRIVE IT THE REMAINING 20 MILES, BUT ONCE EXITING THE HIGHWAY I COULD NOT ACELERATE TO MERGE INTO STREET TRAFFIC AND WAS ALMOST REAR-ENDED. THERE HAS BEEN NO MENTION OF ANY CVT ISSUES WHEN I TAKE IT IN FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE. NOW IT'S IN NEED OF REPAIR BADLY! NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO TAKE IT IN TO THE NISSAN DEALER ASAP. I'VE BEEN LOYAL TO NISSAN FOR MANY YEARS HAVING HAD A 1995 AND 2002 SENTRA FOR YEARS...I HAVEN'T EVEN HAD THIS 2014 FOR 2 YET, AND IF BEING STUCK ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY WITH A YOUNG CHILD OR ALMOST BEING REAR-ENDED DUE TO LOSS OF POWER TO ENGINE DOESN'T SCREAM 'WE NEED A SAFETY RECALL' WHAT WILL??

MY CAR WOULD JERK WHEN GOING INTO SECOND GEAR. IT WAS SLIGHT AT FIRST. IT DIDN'T MATTER IF I WAS STARTING FROM A DEAD STOP OR SLOWING TO TURN THEN ACCELERATING. LATER ON IT BEGAN THE SHAKING LATER ACCOMPANIED BY A WHINE. THIS BEGAN AROUND 65K MILES. THERE WAS NO MENTION OF ANY PROBLEMS CVT ISSUES WHEN I TOOK IT IN FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE. THE RPMS WOULD JUMP UP OR DROP DOWN WHILE DRIVING HIGHWAY SPEEDS. NOW ITS IN NEED OF REPLACEMENT BADLY BECAUSE IF I GOT OFF HIGHWAY AND HAD NO PEDAL WHEN I PRESSED ACCELERATOR TAKING IT IN TO THE NISSAN DEALER
I HAVE A 2014 NISSAN SENTRA THE TRANSMISSION IS SKIPPING YEARS AND JERKING WHEN I WAS ON THE FREEWAY ARE YOU THEN PUT IT IN CRUISE CONTROL TO SEE IF IT WOULD STOP AND IT WOULDN'T THEN WHEN I WAS IN THE CITY IT WAS STILL JERKING AND SKIPPING AS WELL WHEN THIS STARTING HAPPENING I TOOK THE TO A MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC THEN SAID THE TRANSMISSION WAS SLIPPING AND I TOOK IT TO A TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST. THE TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST THEN STATED HE HAS FOUR OTHER NISSAN IS THE SAME MODEL IN HIS SHOP WITH THE SAME ISSUE. I THEN CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY REFUSED TO FIX THE VEHICLE UNDER WARRANTY OR RECALL. THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP EVEN STATED THEY ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH THESE VEHICLES BUT THE ONLY EXTENDED WARRANTY IS ON THE 2010 AND WILL NOT FIX MY VEHICLE.
VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AND THEN SUDDENLY AS I TURNED OUT INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET IT WOULD NOT MOVE! I HAD TO PUSH THE GAS PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR JUST TO AVOID BEING HIT BY ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I TOOK CAR TO DEALERSHIP AND TRANSMISSION IS GOING OUT. I HAVE ONLY HAD CAR FOR TWO YEARS. NISSAN KNOWS THAT THE CVT TRANSMISSIONS ARE DEFECTIVE AND ARE STILL PUTTING CONSUMERS AT RISK. AT MINIMUM THEY SHOULD BE OFFERING OPTION TO PURCHASE EXTENDED WARRANTY.
TRANSMISSION FAILURE VEHICLE STALLED OUT GOING DOWN THE ROAD, COULD NOT MOVE OFF ROAD LEFT HELPLESS BLOCKING TRAFFIC. 75,486 MILES GETS SERVICED AT DEALERSHIP ONLY NEVER ONCE WAS DID THE DEALERSHIP RECOMMEND A TRANSMISSION SERVICE.
TRANSMISSION IS BROKEN
WHILE OPERATING UNDER NORMAL EVERYDAY DRIVING ON A CITY STREET A STOP LIGHT THE CAR JUST SHUTS DOWN. HAD A NEW TRANSMISSION PUT IN AT UNDER 90,000 MILES. AND THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN. AT A LIGHT, THE CAR JUST SHUTS DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND WON'T MOVE....*BF.. *TR
THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD COUNTLESS SPORADIC ACCELERATION ISSUES AND FEEL AS THOUGH IT WOULD STALL/LOOSE POWER BUT IT HAS ACTUALLY COMPLETELY STALLED ON ME ON 3 OCCASIONS. 1ST TIME: I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT ABOUT 10 MPH LOOKING FOR A PARKING SPOT AND AS I PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL, THE VEHICLE WOULD SHUDDER AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AND THEN THE ENGINE COMPLETELY STOPPED AS I WAS TRYING TO MOVE FORWARD IN THE PARKING LOT. I HAD TO RESTART THE ENGINE. I TOOK THE CARE TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP. THE CAR HAD APPROXIMATELY 3,300 MILES ON IT. I WAS TOLD THEY COULD NOT FIND/RECREATE THE PROBLEM AND THE CAR DID NOT HAVE A RECALL. NOTHING WAS DONE. 2ND TIME: I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT DOWN A REGULAR STREET AT ABOUT 30 MPH AND AS I TRIED ACCELERATING, THE CAR STARTED SHUDDERING AND AGAIN, WOULD NOT ACCELERATE ANY MORE. I HAD TO COAST/PULL THE CAR OVER INTO A NEARBY NEIGHBORHOOD. 3RD TIME: I WAS ON THE FREEWAY GOING ABOUT 50 MPH WHEN THE CAR WOULD JERK AS I PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL, THE RPM GAGE JUMPED AROUND, AND THE CAR WOULD LOSE POWER SO I HAD TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE FREEWAY. THE VEHICLE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. I RESTARTED THE CAR AND TRIED TO ACCELERATE ENOUGH TO ENTER THE FREEWAY AT A SAFE SPEED, BUT WOULD ONLY GET TO A SAFE SPEED AFTER DRIVING THE CAR FORWARD IN THE EMERGENCY LANE FOR A FEW MINUTES. THEN, AFTER I WAS ABLE TO ENTER THE FREEWAY, THE CAR WOULD LOSE POWER AGAIN AND I WOULD HAVE TO COAST OFF TO THE EDGE OF THE FREEWAY AWAY FROM SPEEDING VEHICLES. IT WAS NIGHT TIME AND VISIBILITY WAS LOW BECAUSE IT WAS A UNLIT HIGHWAY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT BETWEEN NEVADA AND ARIZONA. I WAS LUCKY NOT HAVE BEEN HIT BY A CAR. I TOWED THE VEHICLE TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND WAS INFORMED THE CVT TRANSMISSION NEED REPLACING. IT COST $4,607.83 (WITH CAR RENTAL) TO REPLACE. THE CAR HAD ABOUT 77,000 MILES AT THE TIME. I DO NOT TRUST THIS VEHICLE ANYMORE, EVEN AFTER THE REPLACED TRANSMISSION. *DT ..*BF *JB
I TURN OF MY CAR AND GO TO START IT BACK UP AND IT WILL NOT START THIS HAS HAPPENED 6 TIMES. I HAVE HAD THE BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR TESTED EVERYTHING COMES BACK FINE. NO SERVICE LIGHTS ARE ON. I KEEP UP THE MAINTENANCE AND OIL CHANGES ON MY CAR.
NO RECALL YET BUT SEEN OVER 159 COMPLAINTS OF THE SEASON PROBLEM, 80000 - 90000 MILES!! DRIVING THE CAR AND IT STARTS REVVING ITSELF AND R GUAGE BOUNCES FROM 2 TO 3 AND BACK DOWN!! CALLED TO SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE AND THE MECHANIC SAID MOST LIKEY THE TRANSMISSION AND THAT THIS PROBLEM IS TOO COMMON! DOES NOT MATTER THE SPEED YOU ATE TRAVELING!! THIS HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED DIFFICULTY SHIFTING INTO REVERSE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO VALDOSTA NISSAN CADILLAC (3685 INNER PERIMETER RD, VALDOSTA, GA 31602, (229) 242-7325) WHO QUOTED A REPAIR COST OF OVER $700. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 93,000.
CVT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND CAR ISN'T EVEN AT 80,000MILES
THE TRANSMISSION IN MY CAR WENT OUT. THE CAR IS ONLY FOUR YEARS OLD. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR WILL NOT GO PASS TWENTY MILES AN HOUR. IF I TURN IT OFF AND BACK ON IT WILL RUN FOR A WHILE, BUT IF IT STOPS AT A LIGHT OF STOP SIGN, IT WILL NOT GO AGAIN.
GOT MY OIL CHANGED, CAR ONLY AT 75,000 MILES AND 1 YEAR OLD. THE ACCELERATION OF MY CAR JUST STOPPED WHILE I WAS DRIVING UP A HILL, THE ENGINE SHAKING UNCONTROLLABLY. SHORTLY AFTER HAD IT TOWED, AND NOW IT WON'T ACCELERATE AT ALL. CVT TRANSMISSION COMPLETELY WENT OUT.
ON 7/30/2018 I WAS DRIVING, WHEN I CAME TO A STOP MY 2014 NISSAN SENTRA SR WITH 54,000 MILES ON IT STALLED. I THOUGHT IT MAY BE A FLUKE, BUT KEPT HAPPENING. THIS ONLY HAPPENED WHEN IN GEAR AND AT A COMPLETE STOP. IF I WAS IN PARK OR NEUTRAL IT WOULD NOT STALL. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THAT DAY. FOUND OUT ON 8/01/2018 THAT THE TORQUE CONVERTOR IS BAD AND THEY ARE REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION.
I WAS DRIVING FOR ABOUT 15 MILES- I CAME TO A RED LIGHT- VEHICLE STOPPED AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. TURNED THE IGNITION OFF AND ON - VEHICLE WOULD MOVE FORWARD AN INCH AND STOP AGAIN. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE MECHANIC; MECHANIC SAID THERE IS A RECALL AND THE SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE REPROGRAMMED.

I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AT 75MPH ON THE INTERSTATE AND THE CAR BEGAN SHAKING AND RATTLING SO HARD I THOUGHT NY TIRE WAS FALLING OFF. I HAD TO HIT THE BRAKES WITH A SEMI BEHIND ME AND A SEMI BESIDE ME AND TRY TO GET ONTO THE SHOULDER FROM THE LEFT LANE. COME TO FIND OUT IT IS THE CVT TRANSMISSION THAT NISSAN KNEW WAS BAD IN THE FIRST PLACE
THIS 2014 NISSAN SENTRA HAS BEEN IN MY POSSESSION SINCE SEPTEMBER 12, 2015. THE ISSUE STARTED UP ON SUNDAY, JULY 1, 2018. I NOTICED THE CAR HESITATING AND "JERKING" WHENEVER I ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE ABOVE 40 MPH TO REACH HIGHWAY SPEED. THE PROBLEM INCREASED DRAMATICALLY OVER THE WEEK, AND DURING MY COMMUTE ON FRIDAY, JULY 6, 2018, MY CAR WAS RESISTING ACCELERATING, RPM WOULD JUMP UP AND DOWN WHILE ATTEMPTING TO GET TO HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND ACCELERATION SEEMED TO BE THE MOST DIFFICULT THING TO ACCOMPLISH. ON MY WAY BACK HOME FROM WORK ON FRIDAY JULY 6, 2018 IS WHEN THE PROBLEM BECAME BLATANTLY DANGEROUS. I ENDED UP EXPERIENCING A SUDDEN "DROP" IN SPEED ON THE HIGHWAY. THE CAR WENT FROM 65 MPH TO 30 MPH AND REFUSED TO GO ANY FASTER. THE RPM DID JUMP DRAMATICALLY AT ONE POINT, FROM BARELY OVER 1 RPM LEAPING UP TO 7 RMP, THOUGH THE CAR'S SPEED DID NOT INCREASE. THE CAR WHINED LOUDLY WHEN THAT HAPPENED, THEN IT PLUMMETED BACK DOWN TO THE BARELY OVER 1 RMP. I MANAGED TO GET THE CAR BACK UP TO HIGHWAY SPEED ON A DOWNHILL PORTION OF THE HIGHWAY, AND GOT MYSELF ALMOST TO MY HOME. THE CAR CEASED TO ACCELERATE OR EVEN RECOGNIZE I WAS PUSHING ON THE GAS PEDAL AFTER COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP AT AN INTERSECTION 8 BLOCKS FROM MY HOME. I CALLED MY BOYFRIEND WHO CAME DOWN TO ASSIST A KIND NEIGHBOR WHO HEARD ME TRYING TO GET MY CAR GOING BY TURNING IT ON AND BACK OFF NUMEROUS TIMES TO NO AVAIL. HE THOUGHT IT "SIMPLY NEEDED TRANSMISSION FLUID", AS THE CAR SOUNDED LIKE IT WANTED TO GO....JUST COULDN'T "CATCH GEARS". THIS GENTLEMAN AND MY BOYFRIEND ENDED UP GIVING THE NISSAN A PUSH/RUNNING START AFTER I STARTED IT BACK UP AND PUT IT INTO DRIVE. INCREDIBLY, THIS ALLOWED THE CAR TO MAKE THE LAST 8 BLOCKS TO MY DRIVEWAY, WHERE THE CAR CAME TO A VERY ABRUPT, HALTING STOP AFTER PUTTING IT INTO PARK. TERRIFIED TO DRIVE IT, MY DEALERSHIP IS NEARLY 100 MILES AWAY..LEAVING ME SOL.
PURCHASED MY 2014 SENTRA BRAND NEW(124 MILES) IN NOVEMBER 2014. I KEEP UP WITH REG SCHEDULED MAINT BECAUSE I USE MY CAR FOR WORK, I'M IN SALES. MID-JUNE I STARTED TO EXPERIENCE A JOLTING FROM MY CAR WHEN I STARTED TO ACCELERATE. ONCE I REACHED 40MPH THE JOLTING AND TUGGING FEELING WOULD SOMEWHAT STOP, THAT IS UNTIL I HAD TO SLOW DOWN AND THEN ACCELERATE AGAIN. I HAD MY SPARK PLUGS CHANGED, THROTTLE BODY CLEANED, ENGINE FILTER REPLACED, AND IT STILL JOLTED AND TUGGED. PRETTY MUCH EVERY YEAR BUT 2014 IS INCLUDED IN AN EXTENDED WARRANTY PROGRAM FROM THE CRAPPY CVT. TOOK MY VEHICLE TO A TRANSMISSION GARAGE AND THEY DID A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. SAID CVT WAS BAD, LIKE ALL NISSAN TRANSMISSIONS, AND THAT IT NEEDED TO BE REBUILT. THE PRICE THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE WAS A LITTLE STEEP BUT IT ALSO CAME WITH A 3 YEAR WARRANTY, ANYTHING HAPPENS TO THE TRANSMISSION IN 3 YEARS AND THEY FIX FOR FREE. I WAS TALKED INTO GOING TO NISSAN TO GET A NISSAN CERTIFIED DIAGNOSTIC AND PAY $105 FOR SOMETHING I ALREADY KNEW. THEY CALLED ME 2 DAYS AFTER MY APPOINTMENT TO TELL ME THAT IT WAS INDEED THE CVT , SURPRISE SURPRISE. I MADE A CLAIM WITH NISSAN TO SEE IF I COULD GET ANY OUT OF REGULAR WARRANTY ASSISTANCE FOR MY 4 YEAR OLD CAR THAT I STILL OWE A LOT OF MONEY ON. AFTER A WEEK OF WAITING AND $200+ DOLLARS IN RENTAL CAR FEES THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR WAITING, NISSAN GETS BACK TO ME SAYING THEY CAN OFFER A LITTLE BIT OF ASSISTANCE. I GUESS A LITTLE BIT IS BETTER THAN NOTHING BUT NOW I AM FORCE TO WAIT 2+ WEEKS BC THE DEALERSHIP ONLY HAS 1 NISSAN CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN TO WORK ON 15 PLUS VEHICLES A DAY. THERE A 2 TRANSMISSION JOBS AHEAD OF MINE THAT HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A WHILE AND THEY DID 6 CVT REBUILDS LAST MONTH. MY WIFE WAS HEADING TO WORK ABOUT 1750 ON JUNE 26TH, DURING A RAIN STORM, SHE ENTERED THE HIGHWAY ON 43 EASTBOUND TOWARD MILWAUKEE OUT OF MUKWONAGO, WISCONSIN. SHE WAS TRAVELLING ABOUT 60MPH IN A 70 MILES AN HOUR ZONE; DURING THE STORM AND HYDROPLANED ON THE SLICK ROAD, DUE TO THE FACT THIS DOWNPOUR HAD BEEN IN THE EARLY STAGES THE ROADS WERE VERY SLICK. SHE SPUN OFF THE SIDE OF THE EXPRESSWAY DOWN THE EMBANKMENT WHERE THE CAR FLIPPED OVER ABOUT 3 TIMES AND SHE ENDED UPSIDE DOWN AGAINST A TREE, NONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. SHE WAS TAKEN TO ER AND WAS NOT SERIOUSLY INJURED DUE TO HAVING HER SEATBELT FASTENED, ENDURING SCRAPES, BRUISES AND ABRASIONS. THE WINDOWS ALL BLEW OUT, BUT AGAIN NO AIRBAGS DISPERSED. SHE WAS OFF A WEEK FROM WITH EXTREME SORENESS IN HER BODY AND A HAIRLINE FRACTURE IN HER ELBOW. *TT
VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING ON MAIN STREET THROUGH BUSY AREA. CAR HIT HEAD ON INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE MAKING A LEFT TURN. CAR CRASHED INTO OTHER VEHICLE. NECK INJURY AND BRUISING WAS THE RESULT IN THE COLLISION BECAUSE AIRBAG FAIL TO DEPLOY. CAR REMAINS NOT IN USE AND WAITING ON FURTHER INFO IN THE MATTER. *TT
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY IN VIRGINIA AND GOT OFF AT MY EXIT IN WOODBRIDGE. WHEN I GOT OFF AT THE EXIT, MY CAR STARTED REVVING, EVEN THOUGH I WAS ONLY DOING 30 MPH. MY CAR THEN DROPPED DOWN TO 25 AND THE RPMS KEPT REVVING. I'M IN TRAFFIC, CARS ARE SWERVING NOT TO HIT ME BECAUSE THE SPEED LIMIT IS 40 MPH. I ENDED UP PULLING INTO A SHOPPING CENTER WHERE MY CAR WAS STILL IN DRIVE BUT WOULD NOT MOVE WHEN I PUT MY FOOT ON THE GAS. SINCE I WAS IN VIRGINIA TO VISIT A FRIEND, I DROVE MY CAR WITH MY HAZARD LIGHTS ON FOR 2.5 (WHICH TOOK 20 MINUTES BECAUSE I COULDN'T GET OVER 25 MPH) AND PARKED IT AT HIS HOUSE. I ENDED UP HAVING IT TOWED FROM VIRGINIA BACK TO MARYLAND THE NEXT MONDAY. I BOUGHT MY CAR BRAND NEW OFF THE LOT WITH 36 MILES ON IT. I HAD ALREADY HAD MY TRANSMISSION REPLACE WITH THE 36,000 MILE WARRANTY (NISSAN HAD TO REPLACE IT). THIS IS DANGEROUS. WHAT IF MY TRANSMISSION WOULD HAVE STARTED STALLING ON 95 SOUTH? I MIGHT NOW HAVE BEEN FILLING THIS COMPLAINT RIGHT NOW.

GAS GAUGE IS NOT WORKING YOU CAN FILL THE GAS ALL THE WAY UP AND THE GAUGE DOESN'T GO ON THE FULL BAR IT JUST FILLS UP TO 3/4. THEN THE GAS MILES WILL SAY 340 THEN NEXT THING YOU KNOW IT SAYS 280 THEN DRIVE A LITTLE MORE IT GOES TO 320. THE A/C DOESN'T WORK AS MUCH AS YOU FIX IT AND FOR THE A/C TO BLOW COOL THE GAS HAS TO BE FILLED UP ALL THE WAY.
ON 5 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS MY NISSAN SENTRA HAS STALLED ON ITS OWN WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. I'VE ONLY HAD THIS CAR FOR 3 YEARS AND MY CAR IS VERY WELL MAINTAINED. I'VE NOTICED THAT THE RPM GAGE LOOKS SHAKY THEN THE CAR STALLS AS IF I'M GOING TO BREAK DOWN. THIS IS A BIG SAFETY CONCERN TO ME CAUSE THIS COULD CAUSE DEATHS. I DRIVE WITH MY CHILDREN. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES AFTER THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT SHE WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 79,000.

"TAKATA RECALL" MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON AND OFF. I'VE HAD THE SENSOR REPLACED ONCE FOR OVER $350.00 TWO YEARS AGO. HOWEVER, NOW THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS REAPPEARED AND WENT OFF TWICE IN THE PAST 30 DAY. I'VE KEPT UP WITH MAINTENANCE SINCE MY INITIAL PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE. FIRESTONE ASKED ME TO CHECK WITH THE NISSAN DEALERSHIPS TO FIND OUT IF THE MASS AIR FLOW IS COVERED UNDER SOME SORT OF WARRANTY BEFORE I PAY THEM TO PERFORM ANYTHING BECAUSE THEY SEE THIS ISSUE OCCURRING IN MANY NISSANS THEY'VE PERFORMED ON.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO ASSIST. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 67,000.
I first had an issue with my transmission in 2016, maybe a year after purchasing, at 72k miles. I was driving on the interstate at 75/80mph when suddenly my car decelerated rapidly, with a large tractor trailer directly behind me. I veered off the interstate, onto the shoulder, with the tractor trailer barely missing me. My 11 year old son was also with me. After that, I’d occasionally have issues with my car not wanting to accelerate at all. I got stuck a few times in the roadway, until it would suddenly work again 20-30 minutes later after sitting. My next long trip was a 3 hour trip from home several months later. My transmission died, while driving, at about 45mph. I couldn’t make it back home and had to have it towed. It was replaced, and I’m having new issues now, which I’ll put in a second report. What are your children worth to you? Do you want them to be in an accident because a cvt transmission failed in front of them and you or your children’s responsible party couldn’t stop on time? What are my children worth? ON 3 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS MY 2014 NISSAN SENTRA HAS STALLED AND STARTED ON ITS OWN. I NOTICED THAT THE RPM GAGE WILL LOOK JUMPY THEN IT FEELS AS THE CAR IS SHAKING THEN IT STALLS AND WITHIN 5 MINUTES IT TURNS BACK ON. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHEN AT STOP LIGHT IN TRAFFIC AND WHILE IN THE DROVE THRU IT FAST FOOD RESTAURANT. I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT APRIL 7TH AT 9:30 PM. I WAS DRIVING DOWN HAVING A PROBLEM WITH KEEPING MY WINDOWS FROM FOGGING UP AND HAD TAKEN MY EYES OUT FROM THE ROAD TO LOOK AT MY DEFROST KNOBS TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS. WHEN I LOOKED BACK UP, THERE WAS A TRUCK STOPPED AT THE INTERSECTION WHICH I HIT DEAD ON AT A SPEED OF 40MPH. I BELIEVE I HAD ENOUGH TIME TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL AND START TO APPLY MY BRAKE BEFORE COLLIDING INTO THE REAR OF THE TRUCK. ALTHOUGH I WAS WEARING MY SEATBELT, IT DID NOT LOCK UP , ALLOWING MY BODY TO BE THROWN INTO THE STEERING WHEEL & DASHBOARD AND THUS FRACTURING MY LOWER BACK AND TIBIA ON LEFT LEG. IN ADDITION TO THE LACERATION ON MY LIVER AND BLEEDING ( INTERNAL BLEEDING) AROUND MY PELVIC BONE. MY SEATBELT RESTRAINT DID NOT LOCK AND MY AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY UNTIL AFTER MY CHEST HIT STEERING WHEEL. THESE 2 MALFUNCTIONS COULD HAVE EASILY CAUSED MUCH MORE SERIOUS INJURIES, EVEN DEATH. WHILE DRIVING MY 2014 NISSAN SENTRA (66,000 MILES) ON THE HIGHWAY, I NOTICED THE RPMS STARTED FLUCTUATING, FOLLOWED BY DIFFICULTY SHIFTING. I EXITED THE HIGHWAY AND CAME TO A FULL STOP. THE CAR WAS THEN UNABLE TO ACCELERATE. PUTTING IT IN PARK, TURNING THE ENGINE OFF AND ON AGAIN ALLOWED ME TO ACCELERATE AND DRIVE TO A GAS STATION. I CALLED MY MECHANIC, HE SAID IT COULD BE CONTAMINATED GAS, AND DIRECTED ME TO FIND A NEARBY AUTOZONE, WHERE AN EMPLOYEE SCANNED THE CAR AND AGREED IT WAS CONTAMINATED GAS. I PURCHASED SEAFOAM AND PUT IT IN THE GAS TANK, WITH ASSURANCES THAT THIS WOULD CLEAR UP THE ISSUE BUT THE RIDE MAY BE 'BUMPY'. I DECIDED TO FINISH MY DRIVE TO NEW ORLEANS. UPON ENTERING NEW ORLEANS AND SHIFTING TO STOP AND GO TRAFFIC, IT WAS APPARANT THE ISSUE HAD NOT RESOLVED ITSELF. THE VEHICLE WAS BARELY ACCELERATING OR SHIFTING. IT FELT VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE THROUGH AN UNKNOWN CITY. THE FOLLOWING MORNING, I BROUGHT IT TO AUTOZONE AGAIN, THIS TIME THE SCAN SHOWED ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION. I HAD A TECHNICIAN REBOOT THE COMPUTER, BUT NOTHING CHANGED. NOT KNOWING THE SEVERITY OF THE ISSUE AND BEING 500+ MILES FROM HOME AND MY MECHANIC, I DECIDED TO RISK THE DRIVE BACK TO NASHVILLE, HAVING HAD EVERYONE AT THE AUTOZONE AND MY MECHANIC TELL ME AT 66K MILES THE TRANSMISSON SHOULD NOT NEED TO BE SERVICES. THE CAR WAS CLEARLY HAVING ISSUES, BUT I WAS ABLE TO GET IT TO HIGHWAY SPEED. I MADE IT TO ABOUT 200 MILES OUTSIDE OF NASHVILLE WHEN IT SIMPLY BECAME TOO UNSAFE FOR ME TO CONTINUE ON THE HIGHWAY. I GOT A TOW 200M HOME, DIRECTLY TO MY MECHANIC. HE INSPECTED THE TRANSMISSION THE FOLLOWING DAY AND FOUND THE TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS DANGEROUSLY LOW WITH NO SIGN OF LEAKAGE. AFTER CHANGING THE FLUID, HE DETERMINED THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I TOOK IT INTO CARMAX, WHERE I HAS PURCHASED THE VEHICLE JUST OVER A YEAR PRIOR. THEY CAME TO THE SAME CONCLUSION.
WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE I NOTICED A NOISE WHILE ACCELERATING. WHEN I TURNED THE WHEEL WHILE ACCELERATING IT GOT LOUDER AND STRUGGLED TO MOVE IVE ONLY HAD THE VEHICLE FOR THREE YEARS. I HAD CALLED THE DEALER TO ASK ABOUT MY WARRENTY. THEY HAD TOLD ME THAT I WAS OVER MY MILAGE. SO THEN I TOOK IT TO AMCO TO GET IT SERVICED AND I FIND OUT THE TRANSMISSION HAD ISSUES SPENT 2800. ONE YEAR LATER I'M HAVING OTHER ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION. I'M NOT THE ONLY COMPLAINTING ABOUT THIS THERE ARE OTHER VEHICLES HAVING CVT ISSUES. I CANT AFFORD TO PUT MORE MONEY INTO THIS VEHICLE. ALMOST DONE PAYING IT OFF BUT HAVING ANOTHER ISSUE I JUST WANT TO GET RID OF THIS VEHICLE. PLEASE HELP!!!

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
