THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO CLARIFY WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE TO RECEIVE THE REPAIR. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHEN THE VEHICLE WOULD BE REPAIRED. THE RECALL NOTIFICATION FROM THE MANUFACTURER ONLY INDICATED THAT THE INTERIM NOTIFICATION LETTER WAS MAILED AND, ONCE THE REMEDY WAS AVAILABLE, THE SECOND NOTICE WOULD BE MAILED WITH NO TIME FRAME SPECIFIED ON THE INTERIM NOTIFICATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DRIVER'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS BEING REPAIRED AT THE INSURANCE COMPANY'S REPAIR LOT. MY 2014 NISSAN SENTRA HAS ISSUES WITH ACCELERATION. AT VARIOUS TIMES EVEN WITH THE ACCELERATOR FULL PUSHED DOWN, THE CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE AND WILL EVENTUALLY SLOW TO UNDER 20 MPH EVEN ON A FLAT SURFACE. NISSAN HAS REPAIRED THE ISSUE ONCE, BUT NOW WILL NOT RESPOND TO MY CORRESPONDENCE IN REGARDS TO THE ISSUE, NOW THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE, I HAVE LESS THAN 45K ON THE CAR. IN ADDITION, THE TAILS LIGHTS ARE RETAINING MOISTURE, I HAVE READ THAT THIS MAY BE CAUSING A SHORT IN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND MAY BE THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR AND IT IS NOW PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AND THE PROBLEM STILL REMAINS UNRESOLVED. MILEAGE AT THE FIRST INCIDENT IS APPROXIMATE, BUT IT DID HAPPEN LESS THAN A YEAR AFTER PURCHASING THE CAR NEW.

WITH NO EVENT ASSOCIATED, MY TRANSMISSION BEGAN TO SHUTTER AND RATTLE WHEN I SLOWED TO A NEAR STOP, THEN ACCELERATED. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHEN IT WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY AND ASKED TO HAVE A TECHNICIAN TAKE A RIDE WITH ME TO HEAR THE NOISE AND FEEL THE RATTLE. THE TRANSMISSION RATTLED FOUR TIMES AS WE CIRCLED THE BLOCK. HIS ANSWER WAS "THAT IS NOTHING, SOME TIMES THAT HAPPENS WHEN THE ROAD IS WET." I TOLD HIM THAT IT HAPPENS WET OR DRY AND HE AGAIN DISMISSED IT AS "NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT." WELL IT IS NOT 'NOTHING.' THE SHUTTER/RATTLE OCCURS WHEN I SLOWDOWN INTO A TURN, THEN ACCELERATE. OR IF I AM ON A STRAIGHT-AWAY AND BRAKE, THEN ACCELERATE IT WILL SHUTTER. I HAVE READ MANY COMPLAINTS THAT SOUND TOO SIMILAR TO BE A COINCIDENCE. MY WIFE IS AFFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR AND I AM CONCERNED FOR OUR SAFETY.

PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF. DOES NOT RECOGNIZE WHEN A 135 POUND PERSON IS SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. NOTICED THE RECALL ON NHTSA AND TOOK THE VEHICLE TO STREATER SMITH NISSAN IN CONROE TEXAS. THEY PERFORMED A ZERO POINT RESET AND SAID THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THIS VEHICLE WHEN IT IS CLEARLY LISTED ON THE NHTSA WEBSITE. I HAVE REAL CONCERNS THAT NISSAN HAS NOT SEEN FIT TO ORDER AN ACTUAL RECALL ON THIS DEFECTIVE ISSUE. BECAUSE UNTIL THEY DO THEIR DEALERS WILL NOT FIX THE SITUATION. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WITH A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT. I DO NOT REMEMBER THE EXACT DATE WITH A PASSENGER IN THE VEHICLE THE DATE BELOW IS WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NISSAN.

CAR WAS PURCHASED ON MARCH,2014, WE HAVE REPLACED THE ALL 4 TIRES ALREADY, BEARING AND STRUT NEEDED TO REPLACED, THE BATTERY DIED, WHICH WAS REPLACED ON TUESDAY APRIL 19TH, 2016, BY PEPBOYS, BECAUSE NISSAN DID NOT COVER IT. WE HAVE RADIO PROBLEM. SOMETIMES THE CAR DOES NOT PICK UP THE KEY AND DOES NOT START. SOMETIMES THE INDICATIONS ON THE DASH BOARD SUCH AS MILEAGE, GAS MILEAGE GOES BLANK . ALSO MY RADIO STOPS AND THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM DOES NOT START. RADIO HAS BEEN FIXED 2 TIMES ALREADY. THE BIGGEST CONCERN IS THE MECHANICAL PROBLEMS, BECAUSE EVEN WITH A NEW BATTERY THAT IS 2 DAYS OLD, THE CAR DOES NOT START SOMETIMES. ALSO COURTESY NISSAN IN RICHARDSON TEXAS REFUSED TO HELP US WITH ANY OF THIS, EVEN THOUGH WE BOUGHT EXTENDED 100,000 MILE WARRANTY. CAR HAS 40,000 MILES ON IT NOW. MY GAS/ACCELERATION DECREASES WHILE DRIVING ON BUST HIGHWAYS. I AM TOLD THAT 'I' AM THE ONE WHO HAS TO PAY FOR THIS (A LIGHT COSTING 210.00 EACH AND LABOR AT 55.00 PER HOUR BECAUSE I AM AT 46000 MILES) EVEN THOUGHT THIS CLEARLY SEEMS TO BE A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM. THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER SEVEN TIMES, WHERE TEMPORARY CORRECTIONS WERE MADE.
BRAKES ARE VERY WEAK FOR BEING A LIGHT WEIGHT VEHICLE. STOPPING POWER IS VERY UNDERWHELMING. COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP EVEN AFTER CRUISING SPEEDS MAKES ME FEEL ANXIOUS...MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 10,066 MILES ON THE ODOMETER BUT THE BRAKING POWER FEELS VERY UNDERWHELMING FOR A FAIRLY NEW LOW MILEAGE VEHICLE.

AIRBAG PASSENGER LIGHT COMES ON RANDOMLY AND STAYS ON FROM SECONDS TO MINUTES. AT TIMES THE PASSENGER SEATBELT LIGHT COMES ON ALSO. IN ADDITION, HAD BRAKES INSPECTED BY DEALER ONLY HAD THE CAR 3 MONTHS DEALER STATES THE BRAKES ARE FINE BUT THEY KEEP MAKING NOISE. CAR MAX DID NOT MENTION ANY RECALLS TO ME ON AIR BAGS CAR HAS 18,700 MILES
2014 NISSAN SENTRA SL 4 DOOR SEDAN - FAULTY FUEL GAUGE INDICATOR. THE FUEL GAUGE INDICATOR IS SHOWING LESS FUEL THAT IS ACTUALLY IN THE TANK I.E. THERE IS MORE FUEL IN THE TANK THAN WHAT THE GAUGE INDICATOR SHOWING - AND IT GETTING WORSE. I CONTACTED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS THAT RECOMMENDS TAKING IT BACK TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIRS. I TOOK IT IN SEVERAL TIMES AND STILL IT HAPPENING I.E. THE PROBLEM STILL EXIST/NOT CORRECTED. DEALER REPLACE FUEL PUMP BUT PROBLEM STILL EXIST/NOT CORRECTED - AND DEALERS GIVING VARIOUS EXCUSES. IT IS VERY AGONIZING EMOTIONALLY, MENTALLY, SLEEPLESS NIGHTS, ETC. ETC. THINKING THAT THE VEHICLE WILL RUN OUT OF GAS AND LEFT ONE STRANDED. CANNOT TELL NOW IF THE DIGITAL OR MANUAL GAUGE READING IS CORRECT BECAUSE BOTH ARE DIFFERENT. PS. THIS GRADUALLY STARTED IN NOVEMBER 2014. I KEPT MONITORING IT AND IT GETTING WORSE, THEN I DECIDED TO CALL NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND TOOK IT BACK FOR REPAIRS ON AUGUST 31, 2015 - THEN AGAIN, SEPTEMBER 3, 2015 - THE AGAIN NOVEMBER 6, 2015 . THIS IS THE REASON FOR ME TO STATE "THE HAPPEN DATE" AS AUGUST 31, 2015. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM THAT CAUSES OVER FILLING AND SPILLING OF GAS THAT CAN CAUSE A FIRE. I BELIEVE THERE IS A MALFUNCTION OF THE NISSAN FUEL PUMP AND THE FUEL GAUGE INDICATOR. I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT THE NHTSA SPEEDILY INVESTIGATE THIS SAFETY MATTER. AFTER NOVEMBER 6, 2015 - I CALLED AND LEFT MESSAGES FOR THE NISSAN REPRESENTATIVE THAT HANDLES MY CASE, BUT SHE NEVER CONTACTED ME BACK.

THE DEFROSTER IN BACK WINDOW CAUSED MY WINDOW TO SHATTER. EVIDENCE SHOWS THE DEFROSTER IN THREE DIFFERENT SPOTS WAS MELTED OR GOT TO HOT.

THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED TO A BODY SHOP. THE VEHICLE WAS PICKED UP AFTER ONE MONTH AND DRIVEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000.

THIS TIME THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD CAME ON. DROVE HOME AFTER WORK WITHOUT INCIDENT. I HAD GOTTEN THE OIL CHANGED THE DAY BEFORE THE FIRST INCIDENT HAPPENED. I HAD NO PREVIOUS PROBLEMS PRIOR TO THAT. THE ISSUE SEEMS TO HAVE RESOLVED ITSELF AS THE CAR IS RUNNING FINE NOW. IF IT OCCURS AGAIN, I'LL HAVE IT CHECKED OUT.

THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW THIS WOULD HAPPEN. WE THEN TOOK CAR TO NISSAN DEALER FOR THEM TO INSPECT AND FOR WARRANTY POSSIBILITIES AND THEY CAME BACK SAYING THIS IS. NOT COVERED AS THEY SAY THIS IS.
