THE CAR WILL NOT SHIFT FROM PARK WITHOUT USING THE OVERRIDE. I TOOK INTO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THIS PART WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY. INVESTIGATING THIS, WHICH I SHOULD HAVE DONE BEFORE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, I SEE NOTHING BUT COMPLAINTS LODGED ABOUT THE CVT AND THAT THE SHIFTER ASSEMBLY HAD BEEN RECALLED FOR THE REVERSE OF MY ISSUE. THE DEALER BASICALLY TOLD ME THAT IT IS A COMMON ISSUE BUT REALLY NOT THEIR PROBLEM BUT FOR A GRAND THEY WOULD BE HAPPY TO REPAIR IT. SEEMS TO ME THAT NISSAN HAS AN ISSUE WITH THE ASSEMBLY AND THE TRANSMISSION THAT THEY NEED TO ADDRESS. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS TO HAVE A CAR THAT IS 2 YEARS OLD AND IS INOPERABLE. *TR
LEFT TURN SIGNAL DIMS OR GOES OUT COMPLETELY WHEN ATMOSPHERIC MOISTURE IS PRESENT (RAIN/COLD). NISSAN DEALERSHIP FIXED AS "BULB ISSUE," BUT ISSUE PERSISTS. NISSAN APPEARS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE CAUSE. DRIVER CONCERNED OF POTENTIAL SAFETY IMPLICATIONS DUE TO PROBLEMATIC SIGNAL. *TR
DRIVING BACK FROM BROOKLYN TO LONG ISLAND ON PARKWAY, APPROX MPH 50 CAR SLOWS DOWN AND STALLS COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP. SHUT OFF CAR PUT IN PARK, TURN IT BACK ON, CARS MOVES EXTREMELY SLOW THOUGH I AM ACCELERATING ON GAS PEDAL. SEEMS TRANSMISSION IS NOT ENGAGING IN ANY GEARS( AUTOMATIC TRAN). BEING ABOUT 6 MILES FROM HOME, HAVE TO SHUT CAR OFF APPROX. EVERY 5 BLOCKS TO GET CAR MOVING AGAIN. ON PARKWAY ALMOST GET REAR ENDED NUMEROUS TIMES AS CAR CONTINUED TO STALL. I PURCHASED A 2012 NISSAN VERSA FROM HENDERSON NISSAN ON 7/6/14. HERE IS EVERYTHING I'VE BEEN THROUGH: 7/24/14- ENTIRE TRANSMISSION REPLACED AFTER MY CAR LOST COMPLETE POWER IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION ON THE LAS VEGAS STRIP. (HAD 58,658 MILES) 5/28/15- IP COVER RECALL. 11/16/15- TRANSMISSION REPLACED AGAIN! ALONG WITH A FACTORY RECALL. (HAD 73,918 MILES) 7/22/16- ECM SOFTWARE WAS UPDATED. (HAD 83,354 MILES) 7/26/16- LOCKING SYSTEM NOW OUT. (HAD 83,400 MILES) THE CAR HAD 39K MILES WHEN I PURCHASED IT. IT NOW HAS 86K MILES AND THE TRANSMISSION IS GOING OUT AGAIN! AS SOON AS MY WARRANTY ENDS, I'M SCREWED! EACH TIME THE TRANSMISSION HAS GONE OUT, I'VE LOST POWER ON THE CAR. IT JUST DIES NO MATTER HOW SLOW YOU ARE GOING. THE FIRST TIME I WAS IN MOTION. THE SECOND TIME I WAS STATIONARY THANKFULLY! I REPORTED THIS TO NISSAN'S AFFAIRS DEPT. AND GOT NO WHERE!

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE CONTACT SLIGHTLY TOUCHED THE GEAR SHIFTER MECHANISM AND THE LEVER MOVED INTO THE NEUTRAL WITHOUT THE BRAKE PEDAL BEING DEPRESSED. THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V032000 (POWER TRAIN). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 61,000.
VEHICLE STARTED LURCHING WHILE DRIVING, POWER SHUT OFF ON ITS OWN AND THEN GOING BACK UP TO SPEED AT 45MPH. WHEN SLOWED DOWN TO PARK, THE POWER STEERING LIGHT CAME ON AND THE POWER STEERING IMMEDIATELY CUT OFF. *TR
TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACE. NISSAN REFUSES TO REPAIR SINCE THE CAR IS ONLY 7000 MILES OUTSIDE THE WARRANTY. THE 2007-2010 VERSA HAD THE SAME ISSUES AND WARRANTY WAS EXTENDED TO 120,000 MILES ITS THE SAME CAR SAME MODEL AND WAS TOLD BY NISSAN THAT THEY ARE UNABLE TO COVER REPAIRS SINCE I PURCHASE THE VEHICLE WITH A WARRANTY AT 60,000. WHEN ASK HOW LONG IS THE TRANSMISSION SUPPOSE TO LAST ON 2012 NISSAN VERSA THE ANSWER WAS " I DON'T KNOW THAT'S A RHETORICAL QUESTION." THE VERSUS ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUES AND NISSAN REFUSES TO FIX OR PAY TO REPAIR A DEFECTED CAR. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN VERSA. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL POPPING NOISE EMITTING FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V573000 (SUSPENSION); HOWEVER, THE REPAIR FAILED TO REMEDY THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THE ABNORMAL POPPING NOISE WAS ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE PROTECTIVE PLASTIC COVER UNDER THE VEHICLE HAD LOOSENED AND NEEDED TO BE TORQUED TO SPECIFICATIONS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PLASTIC COVER WAS TIGHTENED TO SPECIFICATIONS, BUT THE NOISE WAS STILL EVIDENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,000.
I BOUGHT MY NISSAN VERSA 2012 IN MARCH OF 2014 1 AND A HALF LATER I TOOK THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE AT LEAST 3-4 TIMES WAITING NUMEROUS HOURS , EVEN DAYS FOR - HONDA DEALERSHIP - TO REPAIR THE TRANSMISSION , BRAKES , AND NUMEROUS OTHER THINGS . IT WAS THAN CONSIDERED A LEMON BY LAW . IT KEPT GIVING US PROBLEMS , I TRIED RETURNING THE VEHICLE AND THEY PROMISED ANOTHER VEHICLE WITH THE PRICE I PUT DOWN TOWARDS ANOTHER VEHICLE , WHICH WE HAD SIGNED FOR ANOTHER VEHICLE , GIVEN KEYS , CAR WAS WASHED , AFTER OVER 8-10 HOURS WE'RE GETTING READY TO LEAVE, AND A SALES PERSON CONFRONTS US SAYING THEY COULDN'T DO THE DEAL AFTER ALL. 4/5/14 CAR WAS PURCHASED FROM A TOYOTA DEALERSHIP WITH APPROXIMATELY 9,400 MILES. 6/2/14 PRESSED ON BRAKE WHEN APPROACHING RED LIGHT. CAR DID NOT STOP. SLAMMED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. CAUSED HEAVY DAMAGE, AND THE DRIVER WAS HOSPITALIZED WITH INJURY. AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. CAR SUSTAINED MORE THAN $4,000 DAMAGE AND WAS REPAIRED BY DEALERSHIP. 6/27/14 DAMAGE REPAIR COMPLETED AND RELEASED TO CUSTOMER. 6/29/14 BACKED OUT OF PARKING SPOT IN A PARKING LOT APPLYING THE BRAKE. CAR DID NOT STOP. *TR
I WAS GETTING READY TO BACK MY VERSA INTO A PARKING SPACE. I HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE WHEN I SHIFTED THE CAR INTO REVERSE THE CAR ENGINE REVVED UP, BRAKES FAILED, AND THE CAR FLEW BACKWARDS INTO A WALL CAUSING CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE TO THE BACK END OF THE CAR. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN DEADLY IF I WAS BACKING OUT OF THE PARKING SPACE AND NOT INTO IT. ONCE I HIT THE WALL THE BRAKES CAME BACK ON. SINCE THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE INCIDENT THEY SAID IT NEVER HAPPENED. THEY ALSO TOLD ME THAT IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE BRAKES TO FAIL AS THEY ARE A CABLE SYSTEM. I ALSO CONTACTED NISSAN MOTOR CORP DIRECTLY AND WAS TOLD THIS WAS NOT A WARRANTY ISSUE AND I WOULD HAVE TO GO THROUGH MY INSURANCE AND PAY THE DEDUCTIBLE. I HAD MENTIONED TO THE NISSAN DEALER PREVIOUSLY THAT I THOUGHT THE BRAKES WERE FUNNY PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT AS THEY WOULD ROUTINELY GO TO THE FLOOR IF I WAS TRAVELING AT SLOW SPEEDS. I WAS TOLD THIS WAS NORMAL OPERATION. *JS
I READ THAT NHTSA IS INVESTIGATING THE 2013 + 2014 NISSAN VERSA AND SENTRA. I HAVE A 2012 AND HAVE BEEN HAVING BRAKE ISSUES TOO. MY REAR BRAKE SHOES NEEDED REPLACEMENT DUE TO LOUD NOISES COMING FROM MY REAR BRAKES. SOMETIMES MY BRAKE PEDAL DOES NOT GO DOWN PROPERLY. IT IS SUPPOSE TO GO DOWN SMOOTHLY, BUT SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T NORMALLY GO DOWN LIKE IT IS SUPPOSE TO AND IT FEELS LIKE SOMETHING RUBBING THE BRAKES MAKING IT HARDER TO PRESS ON THE BRAKES. ALSO, THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME ONCE WHICH HAS CONCERNED ME WHERE I AM STOPPED AT A STOPLIGHT AND MY CAR WILL STILL INCH FORWARD EVEN THOUGH MY FOOT IS PRESSING ON THE BRAKES. MY NISSAN DEALER COULD NOT FIND ANY ISSUES WITH ANYTHING, BUT DUE TO THE EXCESSIVE NOISE FROM MY REAR BRAKES, THEY REPLACED THE REAR BRAKE SHOES. *TR
TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THIS VERSA WAS PART OF THE RECALL FOR TRANSMISSION SAFETY. NISSAN REFUSES TO COVER THE REPLACEMENT BECAUSE IT WAS 4000 MILES OUTSIDE OF THE WARRANTY. I DO NOT BELIEVE ALL THE KINKS ARE WORKED OUT. I RECOMMEND NOT PURCHASING A NISSAN. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 28,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. IF YOU ARE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 60-70 MPR AND THE PEDAL HALF WAY DOWN AND YOU WANT TO REMOVE YOUR FOOT TO SLOW DOWN THE SOLE OF YOUR SHOE WILL GET CAUGHT ON A SHARP PANEL HIDDEN BEHIND THE UPHOLSTERY . THIS CAN HAPPEN DEPENDING ON YOUR FOOTWEAR. I HAVE DRIVEN MANY OF THESE FOR ARENTAL COMPANY AND THEY ARE ALL THE SAME.I HAVEN'T HAD ANY ACCIDENTS AS I KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING. IUSED MAINE AS YOU DON'T HAVE CANADA LISTED FOR AN ENTRY. *TR
BACKING OUT OF PARKING SPOT, TURNING LEFT, THE FRONT COIL SPRINGS (BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE) BROKE. THE NISSAN DEALER REPLACED BOTH FRONT COIL SPRINGS. THERE IS AN NHTSA CASE OPEN (RECENTLY OPEN- CASE # PE 15-019) TO INVESTIGATE FRONT COIL SPRINGS BREAKING. THE NHTSA CASE STATES NISSAN VERSA MODEL YEARS 2008 TO 2010 ARE UNDER INVESTIGATION. MY NISSAN VERSA IS A 2012 MODEL YEAR/HATCH BACK. THE COIL SPRINGS BREAKING ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE 2008 TO 2010 MODEL YEARS. I'M LOCATED IN CANADA, JUST WANTED TO SHARE THIS INFO WITH THE NHTSA. NISSAN CANADA TOOK ALMOST 10 WEEKS TO REPLACE THE COIL SPRINGS. THEY CITED A PARTS MANUFACTURING PROBLEM WITH THEIR SUPPLIER IN JAPAN.
I STARTED MY CAR AND I HEARD A RATTLING SOUND. AS I WENT TO DRIVE THE SOUND GOT LOUDER AS I PUSHED THE GAS PEDAL. I WENT TO NISSAN RIGHT AWAY AND THEY SAID IT WAS MY "RUSTED" MUFFLER. IT'S FROM THE SALT AND IT WILL BE $700 BUCKS. MY CAR IS A 2012, THERE IS NO WAY POSSIBLE FOR SALT RUST IN 3 YEARS. I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!! I AM TRYING TO UNDERSTAND SINCE I LIVE IN FLORIDA. I'D UNDERSTAND BETTER IF I STILL LIVED UP NORTH AND DEALT WITH SALT FROM THE ICE TRUCKS. I DON'T LIVE CLOSE ENOUGH TO TO A BEACH FOR SALT RUST!!! *TR
NOISE COMING FROM SPRINGS WHEN GOING OVER ANY BUMPS ESPECIALLY WHEN IT IS COLD. DEALER DROVE VEHICLE AT 35000 MILES IN 2014 AND SAID THEY COULD NOT REPRODUCE THE ISSUE. I DROVE FROM DEALER AND WAS ABLE TO REPRODUCE. SAW 2015 RECALL #15V573000 AND TOOK CAR TO DIFFERENT DEALER AND THEY STATE MY VIN IS NOT ON THE RECALL. CAR STILL HAS SAME ISSUE, NISSAN WILL NOT PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION FOR MY CAR TO SHOW THAT COILS ARE NOT THE SAME LOT THAT IS ON RECALL.
THIS IS A FOLLOWUP TO NHTSA ID NUMBER: 10565392: THE MORNING OF MARCH 21, 2014, MY DAD DIED. I FOUND OUT AT ABOUT NOON, WENT HOME TO MAKE PLANE RESERVATIONS AND PACK, THEN DROVE TO THE NEAREST AIRPORT, ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF AWAY, MOSTLY INTERSTATE. LESS THAN AN HOUR IN, I STARTED HAVING TROUBLE, SO I STOPPED TO EAT LUNCH AND LET THE CVT COOL. SHORTLY AFTER I STARTED OUT AGAIN, ONE EXIT BEFORE THE AIRPORT EXIT, THE CAR SUDDENLY DROPPED TO 40MPH -- IN A 70MPH ZONE -- AND KEPT LOSING POWER. I HAD BARELY ENOUGH POWER TO GET OFF THE FREEWAY AND COAST INTO A GAS STATION. I HAD IT TOWED TO A NISSAN DEALER, RENTED A CAR, RESCHEDULED MY FLIGHT FOR THE NEXT DAY, AND BOOKED A ROOM IN A HOTEL. I WAS GONE FOR OVER A WEEK. IT TOOK A WHOLE WEEK FOR THE DEALER JUST TO GET PERMISSION TO REPLACE THE CVT AFTER THE MECHANIC "PULLED CVT OIL PAN AND FOUND EXCESSIVE METAL SHAVINGS IN PAN AND INSIDE TRANSMISSION", SO I HAD TO RENT ANOTHER CAR TO GET HOME AND TO WORK THE NEXT FEW DAYS. THE INVOICE ONLY SAID "ALL NISSAN GENUINE PARTS CARRY A 12 MONTH/12,000 MILE WARRANTY", SO I ASKED IF THAT WAS THE CASE FOR THE CVT AS WELL. THE RESPONSE WAS SO OUTRAGEOUS, I ASKED FOR IT IN WRITING. I WAS TOLD THAT, IF I HAD BOUGHT AN SUV, THE CVT WOULD BE WARRANTIED FOR 120,000 MILES, BUT AS I OWNED A VERSA, IT WAS ONLY WARRANTIED FOR 20.5 MONTHS OR 60,000 MILES, WHICHEVER CAME FIRST. I HAD ONLY HAD THE CAR FOR ABOUT 1.5 YEARS BEFORE THE ORIGINAL CVT STARTED TO GO. IT DIED AT 2 YEARS 4 MONTHS AND 34,167 MILES, WHICH MEANS THIS CVT IS WARRANTIED TO LAST LESS TIME AND MILEAGE THAN THE ORIGINAL. IT ALSO MEANS THE CAR IS INTENDED TO LAST LESS THAN THE 5 YEARS IT WILL HAVE TAKEN TO PAY OFF THE LOAN. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN VERSA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE CRANK SHAFT SEALS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,457.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN VERSA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD HESITATE WHEN SHIFTING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS ADVISED THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. THERE WERE UNKNOWN REPAIRS MADE TO THE VEHICLE HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE DEALER THEN REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION BUT ALSO TO NO AVAIL. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE MANUFACTURER TO INQUIRE OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 12V032000 (POWER TRAIN) HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER DECLINED TO PROVIDE ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE TO THE CONTACT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
I AM WRITING WITH TO PROVIDE NOTIFICATION ABOUT A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE WITH MY VEHICLE, A 2012 NISSAN VERSA, PURCHASED ON OCTOBER 11, 2011 WITH APPROXIMATELY 42,000 MILES. MY CAR IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE, AND AFTER SEVERAL FAILED ATTEMPTS TO HAVE NISSAN ADDRESS THE ISSUE, I BELIEVE THAT IT IS MY DUTY TO REPORT THIS ISSUE. ON MARCH 10, 2014 I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE ON THE HIGHWAY AND NOTICED THAT THE TACHOMETER WAS OSCILLATING RAPIDLY, EVEN THOUGH I WAS DRIVING AT A CONSTANT SPEED VIA CRUISE CONTROL. OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS THIS ISSUE CONTINUED TO PERSIST BOTH UNDER LOCAL AND INTERSTATE DRIVING CONDITIONS. ON MARCH 15, 2014 I WAS DRIVING MY CAR WHEN IT SUDDENLY STOPPED RUNNING. TO FIX THE PROBLEM I HAD TO COME TO A STOP, PUT THE CAR IN PARK, TAKE MY KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION, AND COMPLETELY RESTART THE CAR. SHORTLY THEREAFTER THIS ISSUE OCCURRED WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AT A HIGHWAY SPEEDS. ON MARCH 17, 2014 I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE TO NISSAN FOR CONSULTATION. IT TOOK THEM THREE WEEKS TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM, AT WHICH TIME THEY SAID THAT CAR NEEDED A NEW WIRING HARNESS. WHILE THEY INITIALLY SAID THAT THE PROBLEM WOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, THEY SUBSEQUENTLY RETRACTED THIS AND REFUSED TO COVER IT. I APPEALED TO CORPORATE NISSAN TWICE ADVISING THAT THIS IS NOT A NORMAL REPAIR BUT A SERIOUS, POTENTIAL LIFE THREATENING SAFETY ISSUE AND THEY REJECTED MY APPEALS. PLEASE NOTE THAT NISSAN CONFIRMED THAT MY VEHICLE IS NOT THE ONLY VERSA THAT HAS THIS PROBLEM, THUS OTHER NISSAN OWNERS MAY BE SUBJECT TO THE SAME UNSAFE WIRING HARNESSES. I WAS DRIVING 75 MPH (THE SPEED LIMIT) ON AS FLAT STRETCH OF TX190 WHEN THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST POWER. I WAS ONLY ABLE TO KEEP IT AT 60MPH BY PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR TO THE FLOOR. NISSAN VERSA 2012. THIS IS MY SECOND CVT TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT. I RECEIVED THE FIRST TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT IN DECEMBER 2013 AND IT HAS BROKEN AGAIN IN MAY 2014. THE VEHICLE GOT STUCK IN GEAR AND WOULD NOT SHIFT. IT ACCELERATED AND DECELERATED WITHOUT MY FOOT ON THE GAS PEDAL. THE VEHICLE MADE FRONT END NOISES AND POPS LIKE IT WAS GOING TO FALL APART. IT'S VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE AIRBAG AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS CAME ON. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER AND GOT THE RUN AROUND. DON' T KNOW WHAT CAUSED THE PROBLEMS AND NEED MORE TIME TO RUN TEST. THE SECOND TRANSMISSION IS UNDER WARRANTY AND THE DEALER GAVE ME EVERY EXCUSE TO NOT FIX MY CAR. I WAS TOLD, BY THE DEALER, AFTER SEVEN DAYS OF WAITING ON REPAIRS, THAT THEY (DEALER) WERE WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM NISSAN HEADQUARTERS TO RUN TEST. FIX MY VEHICLE AND RUN ALL THE TEST YOU WANT BUT NOT AT MY SACRIFICE. THE DEALER SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT HELP ME WITH A RENTAL UNTIL NISSAN GAVE THE DEALER AN ANSWER AS FAR AS WHAT TEST TO RUN AND IF TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE, WHICH IS UNDER WARRANTY. THE DEALER JUST SAID, SORRY BUT WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING. IT WASN'T UNTIL NINE DAYS LATER THAT THE DEALER GAVE ME A RENTAL CAR, ONLY, AFTER MY DAD LIT THE FIRE. I WAS INCONVENIENCED GETTING OFF WORK, VERY LATE HOURS, WITH NO TRANSPORTATION. I INFORMED THE DEALER ABOUT MY LATE NIGHT DANGEROUS EXPERIENCES. IT SHOULD NOT TAKE, LET'S SEE, I'M ON DAY TWELVE AS OF THIS COMPLAINT TO FIX A WARRANTY PROBLEM. THESE CVT TRANSMISSIONS HAVE BEEN A LONG, ONGOING PROBLEM WITH NISSAN. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE PERSISTED INTERMITTENTLY EVER SINCE THE CVT WAS REPLACED IN NOVEMBER OF 2013. I HAD MY CAR TOWED TO NISSAN OF CHANTILLY AFTER THE ENGINE DIED THE DAY BEFORE AFTER IT STOPPED RUNNING IN THE MIDDLE OF BROADLANDS BLVD, BUT I MANAGED TO GET IT STARTED JUST ENOUGH GET IT TO A PARKING LOT. THEY HAVE CONTACTED ME ONLY ONCE DURING THE ENTIRE TIME THAT THEY HAVE HAD THE CAR. I CONTACTED THEM ON THE 15TH OF NOVEMBER TO BE TOLD THAT THE ENGINE HAD TO BE REPLACED, BUT THEY HAVE NOT INSTALLED IT THOUGH THEY HAVE BEEN AUTHORIZED BY NISSAN, BECAUSE THEY ARE HAVING ENGINEERS COMING TO ASSES THE ENGINE TO FIND OUT WHY IT STOPPED WORKING, THIS APPEARS TO BE A DELIBERATE ATTEMPT TO KEEP FROM REPAIRING AND ACCEPTING OWNERSHIP THAT THE ENGINE WAS DEFECTIVE AND KEEPING ME OUT OF THE LOOP. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED TWICE BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED AFTER EACH REPAIR. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 19,000.
