JUST BOUGHT THE CAR A FEW WEEKS AGO, STARTED GETTING A CLUNKING NOISE FROM FRONT END/ STEERING WHEEL. WENT BACK TO DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED CAR AND THEY DID NOT FIX ISSUE. WENT THEN TO GM DEALER AND HAD THEIR SERVICE CENTER CHECK IT OUT, SEEMS THE STEERING SHAFT IS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. THIS IS A KNOWN RECALL FROM GM BUT APPARENTLY MY VIN # IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL BUT IS INCLUDED IN SOME OTHER RECALLS. MY CAR FALL WITHIN THE PARAMETER'S OF ALL THE OTHER RECALLS (MANUFACTURER DATES, YEAR, MODELS) SO I BELIEVE THIS CAR SHOULD ALSO BE INCLUDED IN ANY/ALL RECALLS.
MY CAR LOST ALL POWER AND I MEAN EVERYTHING... MY CAR IS STILL IN THE SHOP AND IT'S NOT FIXED YET... THE MECHANIC SAID THAT MY CAR JUST LOST IT'S MEMORY AND HE HAS TRIED TO RESET THE MEMORY BUT HE HAS NOT HAD ANY LUCK WITH IT. I WISH I NEVER WOULD HAVE GOT THIS CAR BECAUSE WHEN I HAD THE FIRST RECALL FIXED... IT IS LIKE NOW ONE THING AFTER ANOTHER HAS GONE WRONG AND MORE RECALLS. I WAS VERY SCARED WHEN I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT 55MPH AND THE CAR JUST QUIT.... IT WAS LIKE THE CAR JUST FROZE AND THE TRAFFIC ON THE ROAD JUST KEPT ON COMING I WAS VERY LUCKY AND BLESSED THAT NO ONE HIT ME.... I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT WHEN I BUY A CAR FOR MY DAUGHTER..... IT WILL NOT BE A G6 !!!!!
THE IS A SIGNIFICANT FUEL SMELL THAT IS COMING FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE SMELL OF FUEL IS ALSO VERY PROMINENT ON THE INSIDE OF THE CAR. I AM VERY CONCERNED FOR THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY AS THIS ISSUE IS A SAFETY HAZARD. NEWER PONTIAC G6 MODELS HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THIS ISSUE. THE 2006 SHOULD BE REPAIRED THROUGH A RECALL. IT IS OBVIOUS THE COMPANY IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE WITH THE FUEL TANKS.
POWER STREELING
THIS CAR HAS BEEN NOTHING, BUT A DANGEROUS HEADACHE. I WAS PULLING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY AND THE BRAKE FELL OFF.. GLAD NO TRAFFIC WAS COMING. COULD NOT STOP.. THE A WEEK LATER I AM DRIVING AND THE TIRE BLEW. LAST WEEKEND DRIVING AND LOST ALL POWER. NOT ONLY DID WE GET LOCKED INSIDE THE CAR THE SERPENTINE BELT WAS SHRIVELED IN PIECES. IT WAS HORRIBLE. TELL THE DEALER CAUSE I'M MAKING PAYMENTS AND THEY ACT AS IF THE COULD CARELESS.. THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN INSPECTED. I HAD IT LOOKED AT AND WAS TOLD THE BACK ACCEL IS GOING TO CRASH IN AND THE ELECTRICAL IS BAD IT CAN CAUSE A FIRE. SCARE TO DRIVE IT.
SMELL OF FUEL AND SEE FUEL LEAKING FROM FUEL TANK. BRAKE LIGHTS GO ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING.
POWER STEERING IN MY 2006 PONTIAC G6 STOPS WORKING WHILE DRIVING. THIS ISSUE IS DESCRIBED IN TSB 10183A, WHICH STATES THAT THE ISSUE WILL BE FIXED AT NO CHARGE UNDER A 10YEAR/150,000 MILE WARRANTY. WHILE I HAVE THE ISSUE OF LOSS OF POWER STEERING DESCRIBED IN THE TSB, GM WILL NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY FOR MY VEHICLE. MY VEHICLE IS APPROXIMATELY 9.5 YEARS OLD AND 140,000 MILES. THERE APPEARS TO BE SAFETY ISSUES WITH THE POWER STEERING IN SOME 2006 PONTIAC G6 VEHICLES THAT GM DOES COVER THE REPAIRS FOR.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 116,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 PONTIAC G6. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE DRIVER SIDE LOW BEAN HEADLIGHT AND DAYTIME RUNNING LAMP FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE LOW BEAM WIRING HARNESS BURNED OUT AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,400.
I AM COMING TO YOU BECAUSE I HAD MY CAR SERVICED 04/23/2015 TO HAVE TWO RECALLS FIXED AND IT WAS OK FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS WHEN AGAIN THE POWER STEERING STARTED TO MALFUNCTION AGAIN NOW ITS WORST THAN BEFORE AS SOON AS I START THE CAR THE STEERING WHEEL GETS SO HARD I CAN`T MOVE IT I EVEN HIT MY OTHER CAR WHILE BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVE WAY BECAUSE I LOST ALL CONTROL OF THE STEERING WHEEL. GM IS SENDIND ME TO THE SAME DEALER TO GET A DIAGNOSTIC BUT I WAS INFORMED THAT IT HAS TO BE PAID OUT OF MY POCKET WICH I FIND IT UNFAIR BECAUSE THEY ARE THE SAME PROBLEMS I WAS EXPERIENCING BEFORE NOW I HAVE STOPPED DRIVING MY CAR BECAUSE I AM AFRAID TO HAVE A WORST ACCIDENT. I HAVE A 06 G6 2.4L 4CYL AND LATELY IT HAS BEEN GIVING OFF A STRONG FUEL SMELL. I SMELL IT WHEN THE CAR IS STATIONARY AS WELL AS WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION. I CHECKED FOR LEAKS UNDER THE HOOD AND CAR AND CANNOT FIND ANY. WHEN I ATTEMPT TO CRANK THE CAR IT DOESN'T START UNTIL MY SECOND ATTEMPT. I HAD A MECHANIC LOOK AT MY CAR AND HE COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHAT THE ISSUE WAS. I AM BECOMING MORE AND MORE WORRIED WITH THIS ISSUE. I HAVE A SMALL CHILD AND HIS CAR SEAT IS LOCATED IN THE PASSENGER REAR. I AM VERY CONCERNED FOR HIS SAFETY AS WELL AS MINE. I AM AFRAID THAT ONE DAY MY CAR MAY BURST INTO FLAMES WHILE WE'RE ON THE HIGHWAY, AT A RED LIGHT, AT THE MALL, ETC. PUTTING NOT ONLY OUR LIVES AT RISK, BUT ALSO THE LIVES OF OTHERS NEARBY. SO I TOOK THE CAR TO AUTO ZONE AND THEY HOOKED IT UP TO THEIR SCANNER FOR FREE. THEY GAVE ME THIS CODE - P0454 FUEL TANK PRESSURE (FTP) SENSOR INTERMITTENT.

THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING MOTOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V153000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,900.
TAKATA RECALL CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON IN THE DISPLAY AND SAYS ENGINE DE RATES POWER AND LOOSES THROTTLE PEDDLE IN ORDER TO STOP THIS WE HAVE TO PULL OVER AND TURN THE CAR OFF! THIS KEEPS HAPPENING AND NEEDS TO BE FIXED OR IT WILL CAUSE US TO WRECK

WHILE PULLING OFF THE ROAD, THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE BUMPER OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS STRUCK BY ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT FLED THE SCENE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER AND THE STEERING WAS REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14E044000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 110,000.
THE AIR BAG WARNING WILL COME ON AND OFF DURING DRIVES. THE AIR BAGS WILL TURN OFF AND TURN ON THROUGHOUT DRIVES. I HAVE A SMALL CHILD NOW AND THIS REALLY CONCERNS ME. AIR BAG PROBLEM HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR A FEW YEARS NOW BUT HAPPENS ALMOST EVERY DRIVE NOW. THIS HAPPENS WHEN CAR IS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET, HIGHWAY, TURNING AND WHEN SITTING STILL. I SELECTED STEERING BECAUSE THE STEERING WHEEL HAS BEEN REPLACED BY DEALERSHIP A FEW YEARS AGO FROM A RECALL. ELECTRIC STEERING WOULD STOP WORKING WHENEVER IT WANTED TO. NEVER WORKED NORMAL SINCE IT WAS REPLACED. THIS HAPPENS WHEN CAR IS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET, HIGHWAY, TURNING AND WHEN SITTING STILL. I ALSO SELECTED ELECTRICAL BECAUSE OF THE REAR BRAKE LIGHT. IT WAS RECALLED DUE TO A BRAKE LIGHT THAT MAY OR MAY NOT WORK WHEN APPLIED AND TOOK TO DEALERSHIP TO HAVE CORRECTED. SINCE IT WAS LOOKED AT WE HAVE NOTICED REAR BRAKE LIGHTS NOT WORKING ALL THE TIME. I'VE ONLY NOTICED WHEN SITTING STILL IN DRIVEWAY.
CAR IS LEAKING GAS, EVERY TIME YOU OPEN THE DRIVER DOOR YOU GET HIT WITH A PU GENT ODOR OF GAS AND THE FUEL HAS DROPPED SIGNIFICANTLY SINCE LAST DRIVING IT

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V064000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 217,000.
I PURCHASED THIS CAR FROM A PREVIOUS OWNER ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND I HAVE REPLACE THE LOW BEAM BULBS 3 TIMES AND IT ONLY LAST A FEW DAYS. I CAN BANG ON THE HEADLIGHT AND IT WILL COME BACK ON FOR A DAY OR SO BUT THEN TURNS OFF AGAIN. IT IS USUALLY THE DRIVERS SIDE BUT SOMETIMES THE PASSENGER SIDE AS WELL. AFTER SEARCHING FOR ANSWERS I HAVE HEARD OTHERS COMPLAIN OF THE SAME ISSUE. I AM WORRIED THAT THERE IS A SEVERE ELECTRICAL ISSUE WITH THESE CARS THAT COULD CAUSE THEM TO GO UP IN FLAMES.
WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH AROUND A SHARP TURN MY SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE RADIO DISPLAY READ 'ENGINE POWER REDUCED' CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO REDUCE SPEED DRASTICALLY AND AN ACCIDENT NARROWLY ESCAPED. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FAULTY PART OR NOT THAT MY LIFE SHOULD BE ENDANGERED OR BUT AT RISK BY A MANUFACTURER DEFECT OR WHATEVER THE CAUSE. THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO, BEFORE SOMEONE LOSES THEIR LIFE!!
DURING SLIPPERY ROAD CONDITIONS, WHEN I APPLY BRAKES, EVEN AT LOW SPEEDS LIKE 5MPH, THE TRACTION CONTROL INTERFERES WITH BRAKES AND CAR DOES NOT ALLOWS ME TO APPLY BRAKE. I FEEL THIS STRONG VIBRATION IN THE BRAKE PEDAL AND CAN HEAR SOME MECHANICAL NOISE. ITS LIFE THREATENING IN WINTERS TO DRIVE THIS CAR WITH FAMILY. PHYSICALLY BY BRAKES AND ROTORS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. SEEMS LIKE PROBLEM WITH TRACTION CONTROL OR ABS.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 201,182.

THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO COAST OFF THE ROAD, RESTART THE ENGINE, AND RESUME STEERING FUNCTION. THE FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCED SEVERAL TIMES. THE DEALER PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC, WHICH WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE A FAILURE CODE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000.
I WAS DRIVING MAKING A TURN AND I HARD A NOISE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT IT WAS UNTIL I FELT MY STEERING WHEEL TIGHTEN UP.
MY BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON WHILE I'M DRIVING AND STAY ON. THEN WHEN I APPLY THE BRAKES THE BRAKE LIGHTS GO OFF. I HAVE HAD THE BRAKE PEDAL POSITIONING SENSOR REPLACED NUMEROUS TIMES AFTER BEING TOLD THAT IT WAS THE PROBLEM AND IT STILL KEEPS HAPPENING. I THEN RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THIS BRAKE ISSUE AND HAD THE BCM AND BPPS AND HARNESS REPLACED (RECALL 13036) AS WELL AS THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE (RECALL 14152). IT HAS NOW BEEN LESS THAN A YEAR AND I AM HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AGAIN. THE DEALERSHIP IS TELLING ME THAT IT IS THE BPPS AGAIN AND IS REFUSING TO COVER THE COST. I FEEL SCARED EVERY TIME I DRIVE MY CAR BECAUSE I NEVER KNOW IF MY BRAKE LIGHTS ARE WORKING OR NOT EVEN AFTER I'M TOLD THAT THEY HAVE BEEN FIXED.
I WAS GOING THROUGH AN S CURVE ON A LOCAL ROAD DOWN THE STREET AND WHEN I WAS COMING OUT OF THE CURVE THE WHEEL JERKED TO THE LEFT I HEARD THE CAR CHIME AND I LOST THE STEERING. WAS UNABLE TO GET VEHICLE BACK ON THE ROAD FAST ENOUGH AND AT THE END OF THE CURVE WAS A PARK PARKING LOT. LUCKILY THE SIDE I HAD TO SWERVE INTO WAS EMPTY AND NO KIDS WERE IN THE AREA ON THE BIKE PATH BECAUSE I ENDED UP GOING INTO THE GRASS. AFTER I GOT THE CAR STOPPED I SHUT IT OFF,TURNED IT BACK ON AND IT WAS FINE. AS SOON AS I STARTED TO TURN LEFT TO HEAD BACK HOME BOOM CAR CHIMED AND LOST POWER STEERING AGAIN. LUCKILY THIS TIME I WAS EXPECTING IT AND WAS ABLE TO KEEP CONTROL AS I WAS TURNING AROUND TO HEAD BACK HOME. I WAS ABLE TO NURSE THE CAR BACK THE SHORT MILE BACK TO THE HOUSE THEN CALLED A TOW TRUCK TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER. I GOT A CALL FROM THE DEALER THE NEXT DAY STATING THAT THEY HAD FIXED THE RECALLS ON IT BUT ALSO SAID THAT THE REASON IT WENT OUT ( SHORT IN THE POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE) WAS A RECALL ITEM BUT NOT ON MY YEAR G6. I TOLD THEM THAT WHEN I PULLED THE YEAR ON MY CAR , IT SAID THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE CONTROL MODULE AND THEY SAID MINE WAS MADE TOO EARLY IN THE YEAR OR SOMETHING AND HE ALSO SAID ITS A VERY VERY COMMON PART FAILURE. I ASKED WHAT THE DIFFERENCE WAS BETWEEN MY STEERING MODULE AND THE ONES ON RECALL WERE, AND HE STATED THE ONLY DIFFERENCE WAS THE PART NUMBER AND IT WAS THE SAME EXACT PART. SO FOR $900.00 TO FIX IT I TOLD THEM TO TOW IT BACK TO MY HOUSE UNFIXED AND NOW THE CAR SITS UNUSED BECAUSE I REFUSE TO PAY FOR A PART THAT IS KNOWINGLY UNSAFE AND FAULTY BY THE MANUFACTURER . THE OUTCOME OF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A LOT WORSE HAD I BEEN ON A BUSY ROAD. DID I MENTION MY SON WAS IN THE CAR WITH ME AS WELL? I HAVE THE INVOICE FROM THE DEALER BUT DONT HAVE A SCANNER.
THURSDAY , OCTOBER 8, 2015 I WAS DRIVING MY CAR AND SUDDENLY THE STEERING WHEEL JAMMED. I ALMOST HIT 2 CARS .ON THE CAR BOARD APPEAR "POWER STEERING ". AT GENERAL MOTORS ' S DEALER SERVICE THEY PUT ME TO PAY 860$ FOR FIXING THE POWER STEERING ISSUE .
MY VEHICLE HAS A VERY STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE. THIS SMELL IS PRESENT WHEN DRIVING AND LONG AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN POWERED OFF. A VISUAL INSPECTION BY A FRIEND WHO IS A 'SHADE-TREE' MECHANIC SHOW NO OBVIOUS LEAKS NOR DO I NOTICE ANYTHING IN THE DRIVEWAY. IT HAS GOTTEN SO BAD THAT WE HAVE TO LEAVE WINDOWS CRACKED. I DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY FOR REPAIRS. I AM WONDERING IF THIS IS SOMETHING OTHER OWNERS HAVE SEEN AND IF POSSIBLY THERE IS OR WILL BE A RECALL? I AM SCARED TO DRIVE THE CAR. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING (AND GETTING WORSE) FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS.

HAVING ISSUES WITH THE FRONT LIGHTS. THIS EVENING I WAS DRIVING DOWN A BACK ROAD AND SUDDENLY BOTH LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT SIMULTANEOUSLY. I PUT ON MY HIGH BEAMS AND 15 SECONDS LATER, BOTH LOW BEAMS CAME BACK ON. THIS HAPPENED EVERY FEW HUNDRED FEET FOR MY ENTIRE DRIVE HOME. THERE IS DEFINITELY AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE AND AS I'M LOOKING ONLINE I SEE MANY OTHERS ARE ALSO HAVING LIGHTING ISSUES. IF THIS IS A FREQUENT AND KNOWN PROBLEM, GM SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING IT. IT WAS REALLY SCARY HAVING BOTH HEADLIGHTS GO OUT AND I'M VERY THANKFUL I DID NOT CRASH! THIS CAR HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS AND RECALLS! AS A LONG TIME GM CUSTOMER, I'M EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS VEHICLE!

THE CAR HAD A "TICKING" SOUND FOR 3 WEEKS. THE SOUND STARTS WHEN YOU START THE CAR AND DOES NOT GO AWAY. LAST WEEK THE CAR ABRUPTLY STOP AND SHUT OFF. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO RE-START THE CAR IT SMELLED LIKE SOMETHING WAS BURNING SO I LEFT IT GO AND TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC. THEY SAY THE CAR IS CRAP..THE ENGINE LOCKED UP AND PART OF THE PISTON BROKE OFF AND FLEW INTO THE MOTOR, DAMAGING IT. THANK GOD WE WERE NOT ON THE HIGHWAY WHERE THE SPEED LIMIT IS 70 MPH WHEN THIS HAPPEN. NOW WE ARE STUCK WITH A CAR THAT IS NOT WORTH REPAIRING AND NO ONE WANTS IT FOR A TRADE IN NOR WILL THE LOAN GO AWAY. THESE CARS SHOULD BE PULLED OFF THE MARKET.

WE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH LOSS OF POWER STEERING BUT DID SEE THE POWER STEERING MESSAGE ON THE DISPLAY FLASH A FEW TIMES. WE DECIDED TO BRING THE CAR TO THE DEALER TO GET THE 3 RECALLS DONE ON IT OF WHICH ONE OF THEM WAS FOR THE POWER STEERING MESSAGE. AFTER THE RECALL WAS DONE WE WENT TO PICK UP THE CAR AND THE POWER STEERING DID NOT WORK INTERMITTENTLY. WE BROUGHT IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY CHANGED A DIFFERENT PART AND CHARGED US $734.26 AND SAID THE SECOND PART WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL. I ALSO CONTACTED GM HEADQUARTERS AND THEY TOLD ME THE SAME THING. SINCE THE PART CHANGED IN THE RECALL ACTUALLY BROKE OUR POWER STEERING MAYBE THEY WERE CHANGING THE WRONG CHEAPER PART AND BILLING THE CUSTOMER TO FIX THE ISSUE. WE DID NOT HAVE AN ACCIDENT AS THE LOSS OF POWER STEERING WAS LESS THAN A MINUTE AT A TIME AND IT WAS VERY HARD TO TURN BUT THE CAR STILL COULD BE TURNED.
NOTICED THAT THE AIR BAG SENSOR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WAS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. IT WOULD RANDOMLY TURN OFF EVEN IF THERE WAS A PASSENGER, OR STAY ON IF THERE WAS NO PASSENGER. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR G6'S THAT HAD CLOTH SEATS THAT WERE CHANGED TO LEATHER SEATS. MY CAR HAS LEATHER SEATS, HOWEVER IT IS NOT INCLUDED UNDER THIS RECALL. THE REPAIR SHOP INVESTIGATED THE PROBLEM. THE WIRING FOR THE SENSORS WAS NEVER PROPERLY DONE. THERE WAS NO SPACE TO PUT CERTAIN WIRES AND THEY WERE NEVER CONNECTED. THE AIR BAG SENSOR WAS NEVER PROPERLY CONNECTED!
I HAVE BEEN SMELLING GAS FOR SOME TIME NOW. MAINLY WHEN I PARK THE CAR. THE SMELL LINGERS FOR A GREAT WHILE. I HAVEN'T SEEN A PHYSICAL LEAK ON THE GROUND BUT MY HUSBAND LOOKED UNDER THE REAR A NOTICED GASOLINE ON AROUND THE FUEL SYSTEM. I HAVE LOOKED FOR MONTHS NOW ON THE INTERNET AND I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS ISSUE. NOW LOOKING AT THE NHTSA WEBSITE, THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN FILED ABOUT 50 TIMES AND NO ONE SEEMS TO BE DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I PERSONALLY CANNOT AFFORD TO TAKE MY CAR TO A DEALER SINCE THEY CHARGE AN ARM AND A LEG. PLUS I HAVE LOOKED UP SOME OF THE PARTS INVOLVED AND IT IS JUST OUT OF MY BUDGET. I NEED MY CAR TO GET WORK TO MAKE MONEY TO PAY BILLS AND IT AMAZES ME THAT THE MANUFACTURE, WHOM SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN WORD BY NOW ABOUT THIS ISSUE SINCE THE OLDEST COMPLAINT FILED LOOKS LIKE FROM 2012, HAS GONE NOTHING IN REGARDS TO THIS AND FORCING OWNERS TO PAY OUT OF POCKET TO GET THIS ISSUE REPAIRED. LIKE MANY OTHERS WHO HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS, I SAY IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD THAT NEEDS TO GET INVESTIGATED AND RECALLED. NOT EVEYONE CAN AFFORD TO REPAIR. I JUST HOPE THAT IT IS NOT TOO LATE AND LIVES ARE LOST BEFORE ACTION IS TAKEN.

ALSO, THEY FIX RECALL FOR POWER STRAIN AND GEAR SHIFT CABLE AND CAR BEEN ACTING UP EVER SINCE SERVICE LIGHT ON AND NOT CHANGING PROPERLY.

I HAD A RECALL DONE FOR THE STEERING. UNFORTUNATELY, THE PROBLEM WAS NOT SOLVED BY THE PART REPLACEMENT. IN FACT, I CONTINUE TO LOSE STEERING AT LOW SPEED AND DURING PARK. THE RECALL WAS TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. GM REPLACED A DEFECTIVE PART WITH ANOTHER DEFECTIVE PART. THE PROBLEM IS WORSE NOW. WHEN IS GM GOING TO FIX THE ISSUE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE FOR ME AND MY FAMILY NOT TO MENTION TO THE PUBLIC. GM ARE YOU FOR REAL? PLEASE GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!
