TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 12V460000 (POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:GEAR POSITION INDICATION-PRNDL) AND ATTEMPTED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THEY HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THE RECALL AND THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO TO ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT SHE WOULD HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE END OF JANUARY 2013 FOR THE DEALER TO BECOME FULLY AWARE OF THE RECALL AND THE REMEDY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 37,000.
CRUISE CONTROL DISENGAGED WHILE ON THE INTERSTATE. NOTICE SUDDEN DECELERATION AND CRUISE CONTROL INDICATOR WAS OFF. CRUISE CONTROL WOULD NOT REENGAGE IMMEDIATELY. REENGAGED BY DRIVER ABOUT 20 MILES LATER. *TR
BOTH THE RIGHT AND LEFT REAR ELECTRIC DOOR LOCK SOLENOIDS OPERATE ERRATICALLY MOST OFTEN NOT LOCKING THE DOORS. *TR
I NOTICED THE CRUISE CONTROL GOING OFF ON ITS OWN AGENDA. I WAS TOLD BY ANOTHER DRIVER THAT THE BRAKE LIGHTS WERE COMING ON WHILE TRAVELING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. HAD A DEALER LOOK INTO THE PROBLEM AND THE SWITCH WAS REPLACED. STILL DOES IT WITH 56K MILES ON IT. I AM A MECHANIC AND WHAT A BAD DESIGN. GM NEEDS TO STEP UP A GET THE SWITCH REDESIGNED BEFORE SOMEBODY GETS SERIOUSLY HURT. *TR
THE WHEEL VIBRATES AND IT IS HARD TO STEER. POWER STEERING IS AN ISSUE. *TR
I HAVE HAD SEVERAL ISSUES WITH THE EXTERIOR LIGHTING OF MY VEHICLE. FIRST THE HEADLIGHTS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE WENT OUT AND I REPLACED THE BULB, THEN PASSENGER SIDE HAS WENT OUT AND THE BULB HAS BEEN REPLACED. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO OUR LOCAL AUTOZONE AND AT FIRST WE THOUGHT THE LIGHT BULB NEEDED REPLACED BUT AFTER WIGGLING AROUND THE WIRES IT STARTED WORKING..THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION. AS OF THIS YEAR I'VE CHANGED BOTH HEADLIGHTS TWICE AND THE EXTERIOR BRAKE LIGHT AND AS OF TODAY I HAVE ANOTHER HEADLIGHT THAT HAS BLOWN..I GOT ONLINE AND NOTICES SEVERAL COMPLAINTS FROM DIFFERENT PEOPLE ON THE PONTIAC G6 THAT ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AS ME AND THERE IS NO CORRECTION FOR THIS FIXED EXCEPT HAVING THE WHOLE LIGHTING ASSEMBLY CHANGED WITH THE WIRING WHICH IS A 700 OR MORE DOLLAR FIX. NOW MY HIGHBEAMS ARE DOING THE SAMETHING. I'VE CONTACTED GM ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RESPONSE AS OF YET. THIS IS VERY DISTURBING FOR ME BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN STOPPED BY THE POLICE BEFORE AND GIVEN TICKETS BECAUSE OF THIS AND THIS IS STARTING TO BECOME A FINANCIAL BURDEN FOR ME. *TR
THE CONNECTOR TERMINAL WAS BURNT OUT AND EXTREMELY CORRODED. MY PASSENGER HEADLIGHT IS BURNT OUT AND THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES SINCE JANUARY, IT IS CURRENTLY OCTOBER. THE LAST TWO WEEKS HAS RUINED TWO BULBS. THIS IS A DANGEROUS ISSUE AND SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING ON A PROPERLY MAINTENANCE CAR. *TR
WHEN YOU PULL UP TO A STOP SIGN THE STEERING WHEEL WILL MOVE BACK AND FORTH IN YOUR HANDS. (VIBRATES) THEN WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING IT FEELS LIKE YOU ARE DRIVING A CAR WITHOUT POWER STEERING. TO THE POINT THAT WHEN YOU STEER IT FEELS LIKE YOU MAY OVER STEER AND END UP IN THE DITCH OR THE OTHER LANE OF TRAFFIC. THERE IS A GOOD UTUBE VIDEO THAT SIMULATES WHAT THE STEERING WHEEL DOES. *TR
IN OCTOBER 2012, MY PONTIAC G6 'ROLLED OFF' FROM MY DRIVEWAY, RESULTING IN A CRASH. THE CAR HAD BEEN PARKED, AND THE KEY REMOVED, AT THIS TIME. THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP CONTACTED, TOLD ME THAT ACCORDING TO THEIR RECORDS, THIS CAR WAS NOT SPECIFICALLY UNDER RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM. SINCE THIS PROBLEM DID OCCUR, I WISHED TO CONTACT YOU, FOR THE SAKE OF SAFETY. IT APPEARS THAT GM MAY NOT BE FULLY AWARE OF THE SCOPE OF THIS ISSUE. *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SHIFT CABLE TO THE ENGINE BECAME DISCONNECTED AND CAUSED THE GEAR SHIFT NOT TO LOCK INTO POSITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THEY TRIED TO PARK THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE ROLLED AWAY AND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE HAD TO BE UTILIZED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AFTER THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER HOWEVER, THE DEALER WAS NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE A REASON FOR THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 50,000. UPDATED 12/06/12*LJ THE DEALER REPLACED THE SHIFT CABLE AND SHIFT CABLE BRACKET. UPDATED 12/06/12
PASSENGER SIDE LOW-BEAM HEADLIGHT BURNED OUT. REPLACED BULB. TWO YEARS LATER, DRIVER SIDE LOW-BEAM HEADLIGHT BURNED OUT. REPLACED WITH NEW BULB. TECH SAID HARNESS WAS MELTED AND NO GUARANTEE HOW LONG THE NEW BULB WOULD LAST. THREE WEEKS LATER, NEW BULB BURNED OUT. TECH SAID HARNESSES ON BOTH DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE WERE GROUNDED OUT AND MELTED. COMMENTED THAT IT WAS SURPRISING NO FIRE WAS IGNITED. TECH SAID HARNESS DESIGN LEFT OPENING, ALLOWING WATER AND MOISTURE TO ENTER LIGHT RECEPTACLES, CAUSING CORROSION, RESULTING IN FRICTION THAT ALLOWED OVERHEATING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP WITH THE VEHICLE IN DRIVE, THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE SAFETY INTERLOCK SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 225,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN SHIFTING INTO REVERSE, HE HAD TO USE EXTREME FORCE IN ORDER TO MOVE THE GEAR SHIFTER. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE DRIVEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE SHIFT CABLE FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE ISSUE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 12V460000 (POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:GEAR POSITION INDICATION (PRNDL)). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE 52,550.
THE RIGHT HEADLIGHT WENT OUT. IT WAS REPLACED, AND THEN 2 DAYS LATER NEITHER HEADLIGHT WORKED. THE AUTO OPTION STILL RAN MY HIGH-BEAMS, MY TAIL LIGHTS AND MY PARKING LIGHTS. THEN 1 WEEK LATER WHEN MY AUTO OPTION WAS ON, NOTHING WORKED, NO TAIL LIGHTS, NO HEADLIGHTS, AND NO PARKING LIGHTS. WHEN THE LIGHTS ARE IN THE "ON" POSITION I GET TAIL LIGHTS, AND PARKING LIGHT, BUT STILL NO HEADLIGHTS. I AM BEING TOLD IT WILL BE $140 TO LOOK AT IT AND THAT THIS IS NOT COVERED UNDER MY WARRANTY. IN SEARCHING ONLINE I SEE THAT MULTIPLE CARS SEEM TO HAVE THIS DEFECT IN THE LIGHTING. IT IS MY BELIEF THAT THIS DEFECT SHOULD GO UNDER A RECALL AND GM NEEDS TO FIX IT AT THEIR EXPENSE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, SHE NOTICED AN ABNORMAL RATTLING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE. SHE ALSO NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS LOSING POWER AS THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SEVERAL INDEPENDENT MECHANICS WHO ALL INFORMED HER THAT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALER TO HAVE THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE TO THE CONTACT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
THE STEERING WHEEL SHAKES DUE TO POWER STEERING WHICH MAKES IT HARD TO STEER AND UNSAFE TO DRIVE. *TR
THE WIRE CONNECTION TO THE MAIN HEADLIGHT (ON BOTH SIDES) IS FRAYING--LEAVING BARE WIRE EXPOSED. WHENEVER I HIT A BUMP, SOMETIMES THE HEADLIGHT GOES OUT. I THOUGHT IT WAS A BAD BULB, BUT WHEN I WENT TO REPLACE IT ON ONE SIDE I NOTICED EXPOSED WIRE AND A FRAYING CONNECTOR. I CHECKED THE OTHER SIDE, AND SAME PROBLEM. *TR
BRAKES LAMPS IS ON ALL THE TIME. *TR
THEY SHOULD ADD THE SAME RECALLS FOR THE COBALT AND G5 TO THE G6. IT IS BASICALLY THE SAME CAR WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS. THESE PROBLEMS EXIST ON MY G6 AND MANY OTHERS ON THE G6 BLOGS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER WAS TRAVELING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL BECAME STUCK IN OPEN THROTTLE, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE TO 107 MPH. THE VEHICLE ROLLED OVER A DIP IN THE ROAD, LEFT THE ROAD, WENT AIRBORNE, ROLLED OVER FIVE TIMES AND LANDED UPSIDE DOWN ON ITS ROOF. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER WAS FATALLY INJURED. THE MANUFACTURER AS WELL AS WITH THE HIGHWAY PATROL WAS INVESTIGATING THE CRASH. THE MILEAGE AND VIN WERE UNAVAILABLE.
DUE TO POORLY DESIGNED HARNESS ASSEMBLY WITH INFERIOR MATERIALS, THE HEADLIGHT HARNESS CONNECTOR ON THE PONTIAC G6 CORRODES AND MELTS AND THE HEADLIGHTS WON'T WORK. GM SHOULD COVER THE REPAIRS UNDER WARRANTY SINCE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND THE LIGHTS (PRIMARILY LOW BEAMS) GO ON AND OFF RANDOMLY, AND STANDARD BULB REPLACEMENT DOES NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THERE ARE MANY POSTINGS ON THE PONTIAC G6 OWNERS FORUM THAT IS AN ONGOING SAFETY ISSUE AND OWNERS SHOULD NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING REPAIRS AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE. *TR
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT (DRIVER SIDE) GOES OUT RANDOMLY. HAVE REPLACED BULBS AND IT HAPPENS AGAIN A FEW DAYS LATER. AFTER A FEW MORE DAYS IT GOES OUT AGAIN AND THEN A FEW MORE DAYS IT COMES BACK. I HAVE REMOVED HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY AND USED ELECTRIC TAPE TO HOLD WIRES TOGETHER TIGHTLY BUT IT STILL OCCURS. SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH G6S BASED ON ALL THE PROBLEMS POSTED ON THE INTERNET. LAST TIME THEY DECIDED TO GO OUT WAS ON THE HIGHWAY IN A SNOW STORM. DEFINITE SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
REAR PASSENGER DOOR WILL NOT LOCK/UNLOCK. LOUD, RUBBING NOISE COMING FROM STEERING COLUMN WHEN MAKING TURNS. LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WORK INTERMITTENTLY (GOT STOPPED BY A POLICEMAN AND WARNED OF A CITATION THE NEXT TIME I WOULD GET STOPPED). I CHANGED THE BULB TWICE. LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT WILL STOP WORKING , BUT THE BULB IS NOT ACTUALLY BURNED OUT. AS A RESULT, I HAD DRIVER SIDE BULB WIRING REPLACED BY DEALER, DUE TO CHARRING THAT WAS PRESENT ON THE WIRING HARNESS. THEN, IT STARTED WORKING AGAIN. A MONTH OR SO LATER THE OTHER ONE WENT OUT. NOW THE PASSENGER SIDE WIRING IS CHARRED, BUT THE BULB IS FINE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN TO BOUNCE UP AND DOWN WHICH MADE IT DIFFICULT TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. ALSO, THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT SHE HEARD A VERY LOUD CLICKING NOISE INSIDE THE STEERING COLUMN WHENEVER TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT. BOTH OF THE FAILURES RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES AND EACH TIME THE NOISES GOT LOUDER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED BUT THEY OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
STARTED HAVING ISSUES WITH 2008 PONTIAC G6 A YEAR AGO, SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL MESSAGE STARTED COMING ON, CRUISE CONTROL WON'T WORK, AND BRAKE LIGHTS ARE ON WHEN DRIVING BUT GO OFF WHEN I PRESS THE BRAKES. I HAVE HAD THE BODY CONTROL MODULE WORKED ON TWICE, THE BRAKE PEDAL POSITION SENSOR HAS BEEN REPLACED, PUT ON THE COMPUTER SEVERAL TIMES TRYING TO FIND THE PROBLEM. NOTHING HAS WORKED AND ALL THE SERVICE AND REPAIR COSTS HAVE COME OUT OF MY POCKET. I HAVE BEEN PULLED OVER BY THE POLICE AND STATE TROOPERS, AND HAVE HAD CLOSE CALLS BECAUSE OF THE BRAKE LIGHTS MALFUNCTIONING. I JUST HAD THE BRAKE PEDAL POSITION SENSOR REPLACED 2 WEEKS AGO AND I GOT PULLED OVER AGAIN TONIGHT BECAUSE MY BRAKE LIGHTS WERE ON BUT WENT OUT WHEN I PRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL. THIS IS DANGEROUS, I DRIVE TO WORK EVERYDAY AN HOUR AND A HALF EACH WAY TO A CITY, AND I AM SCARED EVERYDAY THAT SOMEONE WILL HIT ME BECAUSE THEY WON'T KNOW I AM BRAKING. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND THE FACT THAT THE MANUFACTURE HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING TO FIX THIS ISSUE IS RISKING MY LIFE, OTHER DRIVER'S LIVES, AND I CAN'T AFFORD THE CONSTANT SERVICE BILLS FOR REPAIRS THAT DON'T FIX THE PROBLEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT WIRING HARNESS MELTED. AN INDIVIDUAL INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND REMOVED THE BURNT WIRING AND THEN RECONNECTED THE OTHER WIRES. IN ADDITION, THE PASSENGER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT BULB WAS REPLACED ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,000.
CAN NOT LOCK REAR DOORS FROM FRONT DRIVERS SIDE CONTROL. KIDS CAN OPEN DOOR AT WILL, EVEN WHEN DRIVING AT ANY SPEED. *TR
I KEPT HAVING MY HEADLIGHTS BLOW OUT AND CONTINUED TO REPLACE THEM. FINALLY BROUGHT THE CAR TO MY FATHER (WHO WORKS AS A FIREFIGHTER/ FIRE INVESTIGATOR/ FIRE INSPECTOR) WHO NOTED A POST ELECTRICAL TYPE FIRE IN THE HARNESS OF WHERE THE BULB PLUGS INTO. THE HARNESS AND BULB WERE SINCE REPLACED AND THEN AGAIN 4 DAYS AGO THE SAME THING HAPPENED, MY BULB BLEW OUT AND WENT TO LOOK AND THE HARNESS WAS AGAIN MELTED WITH A STRONG ELECTRICAL BURNING SMELL COMING FROM THE CONNECTOR. ANOTHER BULB WAS PLACED WITHOUT REPLACING THE HARNESS 2 DAYS AGO AND TODAY IS AGAIN BURNT OUT. STRONG ELECTRICAL ODOR COMING FROM THE HEADLIGHT AREA. *TR
BRAKE LIGHTS ILLUMINATE WHEN BRAKES ARE NOT APPLIED AND GO OFF WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED. PROBLEM TEMPORARILY FIXED BY APPLYING DIELECTRIC GREASE TO CONTROL MODULE CONTACTS BUT PROBLEM RECURS WITHOUT WARNING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING 25 MPH, THE ENGINE OVERHEATED AND THE OIL LEAKED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT AND THE HORN FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 74,000.
WHEN MAKING A TURN, THE LEFT FRONT OF THE CAR "CLUNKS." I HAVE TAKEN THIS TO A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT MECHANICS AS WELL AS DEALERSHIPS AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE INTERMEDIATE SHAFT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I'M ALSO TOLD THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM NOT ONLY IN THE G6, BUT IN ALL GM VEHICLES. I WAS INFORMED THAT THIS WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER ANY SORT OF RECALL AND THAT OVER TIME, THIS WILL BECOME A SAFETY ISSUE. I THINK THAT GM SHOULD ADMIT THAT THEY HAVE MADE A FAULTY PART AND DO THE RIGHT THING BY RECALLING THIS AND FIXING IT FREE OF CHARGE TO THE CUSTOMER. *TR
ON MY 2008 PONTIAC G6, THE BRAKE LIGHTS ARE ON ALL THE TIME EVEN THOUGH THE BRAKE PEDAL IS NOT BEING DEPRESSED AND IN TURN MAKES THE CRUISE CONTROL NOT WORK. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER FRONTAL AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY AFTER A VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE CONTACT DRIVER FRONT WHILE ATTEMPTING TO TURN LEFT. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE CHEST, NECK, AND RIGHT ARM. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE TOW-YARD. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 6,000.
-BRAKE LIGHTS ARE ON ALL THE TIME UNTIL I PRESS DOWN ON THE BRAKE. THEN BRAKE LIGHTS COME BACK ON AFTER A FEW SECONDS. -CRUISE CONTROL WORKS WHEN THE BRAKE LIGHTS ARE OFF, BUT ONLY FOR A FEW SECONDS BECAUSE OF THE FIRST ISSUE -WHEN USING CRUISE CONTROL AND APPLYING THE BRAKES THE CAR DOES NOT SLOW DOWN UNTIL I TURN OFF CRUISE CONTROL. *TR

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 12V460000 (POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:GEAR POSITION INDICATION). THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 80,000.
THE WIRING IN MY HEADLIGHT IS EITHER BURNING OR SHORTING OUT MY LIGHT BULB. THERE IS THE CONNECTOR TO ATTACH THE HEADLIGHT TO THE CAR THAT IS GET HOT ENOUGH TO MELT THE PLASTIC. IT CHOOSES WHEN IT WANTS TO WORK AND WHEN I PUT IN A NEW LIGHT BULB (I AM AWARE NOT TO TOUCH THE LIGHT BULB) IT WILL WORK FOR ABOUT 2-3 WEEKS AND THEN CONTINUE NOT TO WORK. LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS GO OUT. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON BOTH SIDES OF THE VEHICLE. THE BULBS ARE FINE, THE PROBLEM IS IN THE WIRING, THE CONNECTORS GOING TO THE BULBS ARE CORRODED AND MELTED !! THE AIR BAG LIGHT STARTED RANDOMLY COMING ON AND OFF. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR A WHILE NOW, (ALMOST TWO YEARS) EXCEPT THAT OVER THE LAST YEAR THE AIRBAG LIGHT HAS NOW JUST TURNED ON AND STAYS ON. IT COULD BE A FAILED AIRBAG, OR SOME OTHER AIRBAG ISSUE. WE ALSO NOTICED THE SEATBELT LIGHT CAME ON FOR A WHILE, BUT NOW THAT IS BACK OFF. THE CAR NOW HAS 108,000 MILES. THIS IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE IF WE GET IN AN ACCIDENT THEY AIRBAGS MAY NOT WORK RESULTING IN INJURIES. *TR
I HAVE HAD MY CAR FOR LITTLE OVER A YEAR AND OVER THE PAST 6 MONTHS I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH MY HEADLIGHTS STAYING ON/WORKING.
