THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: [XXX]. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 103,956. BRAKE CALIPER HOLDING BOLTS COME OUT. THERE WILL BE A THUMPING NOISE WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES AND YOU WILL FIND THAT ONE OF THE BOLTS IS MISSING. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS ISSUE HAS HAPPENED TO ME.

THE BRAKES FELT LIKE THEY WERE GRABBING/HOLDING AND WERE MAKING A BUMPING SOUND. THIS OCCURRED WHILE GOING DOWN HILL OR STOPPING QUICKLY. A WEEK LATER THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON, AND THE BRAKE LIGHTS CAME ON AND STAYED ON WHILE DRIVING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH WHEN THE REAR BRAKE LIGHTS ILLUMINATED WITHOUT THE BRAKE PEDAL BEING ENGAGED. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE MALFUNCTION HOWEVER, THE BRAKE SWITCH WAS REPLACED BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED FOR THE MOST RECENT FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,000.
