I HAD A 2007 TORRENT. IN 2010 I HAD REPLACED 3 WHEEL BEARINGS, BREAKS,AND IN FEBRUARY MY POWER STEERING MODULE WENT OUT. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME. I GOT IN MY CAR TO LEAVE A FRIENDS AND I COULD NOT TURN MY WHEEL. TOOK IT TO A DEALER AND THEY SAID THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING MODULE WENT OUT. COST 870 AND THE DAY THEY WERE DONE FIXING THAT A MASSIVE RECALL WAS DONE ON MOST GMC CARS FOR ELECTRICAL POWER STEERING MODULES EXCEPT MINE. ABOUT 6 MONTHS LATER I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND MY POWER STEERING WENT OUT AGAIN EXCEPT THIS TIME I WAS DRIVING AROUND A CORNER. THIS LOCKED UP MY TIRES AND SENT ME INTO A DITCH SIDES WAYS WHICH CAUSED MY CAR TO ROLLOVER 3 TIMES BEFORE IT LANDED AND STOPPED MOVING. DURING THIS MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR ALSO CAME OPEN ON IMPACT AND THE ENTIRE FLOOR OF THE TRUNK PART FLEW OVER THE BACK SIT AND WOULD OF LANDED ON MY KIDS IF I HAD NOT JUST DROPPED THEM OFF. IT WOULD OF BROKE THERE NECKS THE WAY IT IS JUST LAYING THERE NOT SECURED TO NOTHING. I NEEDED UP WITH A SEPARATED SHOULDER, PERMANANT DAMAGE TO MY BACK AND NECK. WAS OUT OF WORK FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS AND MY CAR WAS COMPLETELY TOTALED BY MY INSURANCE COMPANY. NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AND THE WINDSHIELD DIDN'T SHATTER BUT INSTEAD CAVED IN LIKE A SPIKE ONLY INCHES AWAY FROM STABBING MY FACE. THIS CAR IS A DEATH TRAP. I DID EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO KEEP THIS CAR SAFE AND NOTHING I DID WORKED. IT NEEDS TO BE PULLED OF THE MARKET. *TR
SHORTLY AFTER WARRANTY EXPIRED, A SERVICE AIR BAG WARNING STARTED TO APPEAR. WE WENT TO THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD US THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SENSOR WAS BAD AND THAT THE ENTIRE SEAT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED TO FIX THE PROBLEM. WE WERE NOT GOING TO PAY TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE SEAT. RECENTLY WE DISCOVERED GM RECALL BULLETIN 07174 DATED AUGUST 2007 WHICH INCLUDES THIS VEHICLE'S VIN. HOWEVER, THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT OUR VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RECALLS. THIS RECALL NOTICE SUGGEST THAT "DEALERS ARE TO REPROGRAM THE SEAT'S ELECTRIC CONTROL UNIT (ECU) TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. NO REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE REQUIRED. OUR DEALER REFUSES TO REPROGRAM THE ECU UNLESS WE PAY FOR THE REPROGRAMMING AND THAT HE WAS NOT GOING TO GUARANTEE A PRICE FOR THE REPAIR.
I OWN A 2007 PONTIAC TORRENT AND I WAS HAVING TROUBLE WITH MY DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW NOT WORKING AND ALSO THE AUTO LOCK ON MY DOOR(EVEN WITH THE KEYLESS REMOTE. IT TURNS OUT THAT THE WIRE HARNESS HAD 4 BROKEN WIRES AND 1 MORE THAT WAS ALMOST BROKEN ALL THE WAY THRU. WE WERE TOLD THAT WE WERE LUCKY THAT A FIRE DID NOT START! *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC TORRENT. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF FOR FIVE MINUTES AND THEN BACK ON AND THE STEERING WHEEL UNLOCKED. THE FAILURE HAD OCCURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO WAS NOT ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE TECHNICIAN REPLACED AND ALIGNED THE TIRES. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT IT COULD BE RELATED TO THE ELECTRONIC STEERING IN THE VEHICLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEALER PREVIOUSLY REPROGRAMMED THE AIR BAG SENSOR CONTROL MODULE UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 07V344000 (AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:SENSOR/CONTROL MODULE) AND THE LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED FOLLOWING REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT TO REPLACE THE CONTROL MODULE SENSOR AT THE CONTACTS EXPENSE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,000. I HAVE A 2007 PONTIAC TORRENT, VIN [XXX], THAT APPEARS TO HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE PASSENGER AIRBAG SENSOR, SYMPTOMS VERY SIMILAR TO GM RECALL # 07174. HOWEVER, MY VIN IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. WE OWN A 2007 PONTIAC TORRENT. THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT FIRST STARTED ILLUMINATING ALMOST A YEAR AGO (MAY 2010). AT FIRST, IT WOULD ILLUMINATE WHEN THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER WOULD LEAN FORWARD TO ADJUST THE RADIO OR OPEN THE GLOVE BOX. SOON IT BEGAN HAPPENING MORE OFTEN. AND NOW, WHEN I START THE CAR, THE LIGHT COMES ON AND REMAINS LIT EVEN WHEN I DON'T HAVE A FRONT PASSENGER. THE DEALER REPORTS TO US THAT THIS IS NOT A COMMON PROBLEM, AND THERE ISN'T A RECALL ON THE AIR BAG PROBLEM. IF WE WERE TO HAVE A CRASH, WE WONDER IF THE PASSENGER SEAT WOULDN'T HAVE THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC TORRENT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG SENSOR MODULE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WAS DEFECTIVE. THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED OR OCCASIONALLY FAILED TO COME ON AT ALL. NHTSA RECALL CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 07V344000 AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:SENSOR/CONTROL MODULE WAS RELATED BUT HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. GENERAL MOTORS WAS CONTACTED AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 49,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 64,888.
I HAVE HAD AN ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE ONGOING SINCE I PURCHASED IT. THE ACTUAL FIRST THAT THE COMPANY HAS DOCUMENTED IS 2/2010, 3/2011, AND CURRENTLY 2/2012. FIRST THE STABILITRAK LIGHT COMES ON THEN SHORTLY AFTER THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON THEN YOU LOOSE POWER TO THE VEHICLE AND CANNOT ACCELERATE AND IT IS DIFFICULT TO DIRECT. I HAVE CONTACTED GM ON TWO OCCASIONS REGARDING THIS ISSUE. IT APPEARS THAT OTHERS ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE AS I GOOGLED THE INFO ON THE PROBLEM. I AM NOT ASKING GM FOR SOMETHING FOR NOTHING I AM ONLY ASKING THEM TO FIND OUT WHY THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM, OBVIOUSLY THERE IS A DEFECT IN THE CAR SOMEWHERE TO HAVE THIS OCCUR EVERY YEAR AROUND THE SAME TIME. I AM CURRENTLY UNDER THE POWETRAIN WARRANTY BUT THAT WILL EXPIRE IN MAY OF THIS YEAR AND THIS COST ANYWHERE FROM $600-$800. THIS PROBLEM CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS AND THEY SEEM TO FAIL TO SEE THE DANGERS IN IT. YOU LOOSE ALL POWER TO THE VEHICLE!!!! WHAT IS NOT DANGEROUS ABOUT THAT. WE PURCHASED A 2007 PONTIAC TORRENT IN MAY 2007. THREE DAYS AFTER OWNERSHIP THE POWER STEERING FAILED. THE DEALERSHIP EXPLAINED TO US THAT IT WAS A MODULE THAT WAS BAD AND THEY REPLACED. TODAY, WHILE DRIVING WE ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A RIGHT HAND TURN AND THE CAR WENT STRAIGHT. I HAD NO CONTROL OF THE STEERING. THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD JUST SPIN IN CIRCLES. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC TORRENT. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTICS WHERE THE MECHANIC ADVISED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY POSITION SENSOR WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. ONE YEAR AFTER REPAIRS, THE STABILITRAK WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING BECAME DIFFICULT AND THE VEHICLE BECAME RESISTANT TO ACCELERATION ATTEMPTS. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING THE RESULTS OF THE DIAGNOSTICS TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
TURNING CORNER (RIGHT HAND TURN) IN 3-4 INCHES OF LOOSE SNOW AND THE ABS LIGHT, TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT AND STABILITRAC SENSOR ALL CAME ON. WARNING MESSAGE OF SERVICE STABILITRAC SOON DISPLAYED ON CONTROL PANEL. AFTER PARKING THE CAR OVERNIGHT, ALL WARNINGS EXCEPT ABS WERE OFF AND ABS WARNING LIGHT WENT OFF AFTER APPROXIMATELY 2 MINUTES. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR FOR ALL THREE YEARS I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE. IT WAS REPAIRED AT THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED IT TWICE AND I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG ONCE SINCE THE LIGHTS WENT OFF BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO GET IT TO THE DEALER. ALSO INTERMITTENTLY SEEMS TO HAVE A POWER DRAIN FOR NO REASON AND WITH NO WARNING LIGHTS APPEARING ON THE DASH DISPLAY. *TR
I WAS ON THE FREEWAY WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL WENT OUT. I TRIED TO PULL OFF THE RODE BUT RAN INTO A DITCH AND DAMAGED ONE OF MY TIRES. I COULD NOT TURN THE WHEEL IT WAS VERY HARD TO STEER, I MADE IT TO A EXIT AND FOUND A LOCAL AUTO ZONE. I WAS INFORMED IT WAS ELECTRIC AND THE PART HAD TO BE PURCHASED FROM THE DEALER. I HAD TO HAVE MY CAR TOWED OVER A HUNDRED MILES WHICH WAS VERY EXPENSIVE. THE DEALERSHIP ESTIMATED CHARGES TOTALING $700.00. THE VEHICLE IS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD. I'M A SINGLE PARENT AND CURRENTLY I AM NOT ABLE TO AFFORD THE REPAIRS SO MY VEHICLE IS PARKED UNTIL I CAN SAVE UP THE MONEY. I THINK ITS A WASTE I'M PAYING A NOTE FOR VEHICLE I'M NOT ABLE TO DRIVE. FOR APPROX.2 YEAR I HAVE BEEN HAVING NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH THE STABILTRAK, ABS, AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS COMING ON. I HAVE HAD IT TO THE DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES WITH NO RESOLUTION. I RECENTLY GOT IT BACK AGAIN 2 WEEKS AGO FOLLOWING REPAIR. I NOW HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE SKIPPING OUT AND JERKING THE CAR LIKE IT WANTS TO QUIT WHEN GETTING TO A SPEED OF 35 TO 40 MPH. IT IS AGAIN IN THE SHOP FOR REPAIR. I WAS TOLD THAT THE PROBLEM 2 WEEKS AGO WAS A SPARK PLUG AND WIRE, AND HAD TO PAY TO GET IT FIXED, AND IT IS STILL NOT REPAIRED. I HAVE BEEN TAKING THIS VEHICLE IN FOR REPAIR FOR 2 YEARS WHILE IT WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY AND NOW IT IS IN THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WHICH THERE IS A DEDUCTIBLE EACH TIME. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN RESOLVED A LONG TIME AGO AND IT IS STILL NOT REPAIRED. THERE IS ONLY 36500 MILES ON THIS CAR AND SHOULD NOT BE HAVING SUCH SEVERE ISSUES. WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN RECALLED? IT APPEARS MANY CUSTOMERS ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES FOR SOME TIME NOW. *TR

POWER STEERING WENT OUT AFTER JUMP STARTING ANOTHER CAR THAT WAS IN OUR DRIVEWAY. STABILITRAC CAME ON. *TR

IT HAS AN ELECTRONIC ASSIST POWER STEERING UNIT IN THE TORRENT THAT HAS COMPLETELY FAILED ME TWO TIMES, BOTH WHILE DRIVING THE CAR, AND HAS COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY LOCKED UP WHERE I CAN'T EVEN GET IT OUT OF THE WAY OF TRAFFIC, AND IT HAS TO BE TOWED FROM THE SPOT IT STOPS AT. AND DEALER I HAVE DEALT WITH HAS TOLD ME TO GET RID OF IT BECAUSE IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN. BUT WITH THE MONEY I HAVE ALREADY SPENT, IT IS TOUGH TO NOW BUY ANOTHER CAR. THE UNIT HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE, AND I EXPECT TO HAPPEN AGAIN ANY TIME NOW. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS AS WELL. IT HAPPENED LAST AUGUST, AND ABOUT 1 1.2 YEARS AGO. I HAVE A GM CERTIFIED USED 2007 PONTIAC TORRENT THAT HAS MOLD SOMEWHERE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT THAT BLOWS THROUGH THE AIR VENTS INTO MY FACE. I HAVE HAD IT IN FOR REPAIRS 3 TIMES NOW AND STILL I BREATHE MOLD DAILY. GM IS NOT WORKING WITH ME TO RESOLVE THIS SITUATION. IF YOU DO A SIMPLE GOOGLE OF THIS PROBLEM, THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF REPORTS OF MOLD PROBLEMS WITH THE PONTIAC TORRENT. MOLD CAN BE AS DEADLY AS A STUCK ACCELERATOR... *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC TORRENT. THE CONTACT STATED THE AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WHENEVER A PASSENGER WAS SEATED IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AS WELL AS THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED AND THEY INFORMED THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 07V344000 (AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:SENSOR/CONTROL MODULE). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 95,000. THE CONSUMER STATED THE PASSENGER AIR BAG FAILED TO TURN ON WHEN A SMALL ADULT SAT IN THE SEAT. THE ISSUE FIT THE DESCRIPTION OF A KNOWN RECALL. HOWEVER, THE VEIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. UPDATED 07/20/11
I STOPPED FOR GAS, WHEN I GOT BACK IN TO START THE VEHICLE UP, THE AIRBAG CHECK LIGHT CAME ON AND DID NOT GO OFF AS NORMAL. I DRIVE ABOUT 5 MILES TO WORK AND PARKED. WHEN I GOT BACK INTO THE CAR AT 5PM THE LIGHT DID NOT STAY ON AFTER IT WAS STARTED. I TOOK IT TO FOUR FLAGS AND WAS TOLD THAT I HAD TO REPLACE THE PASSENGER SYSTEM MODULE AT MY EXPENSE. *TR

NOTICE OF SLOW TIRE PRESSURE LEAK. WHEN TOPPING UP TIRE PRESSURE THE METAL VALVE STEM BRAKES OFF, FORCING THE TIRE TO BE EXCHANGED. REPLACEMENT OF VALVE STEM WITH BASIC NON SENSOR STYLE. ISSUE COMPUTER KEEPS REPORTING TIRE MONITOR ISSUES. TWO HAVE GONE FAULTY IN ONE WEEK.. FEAR OF OTHERS BLOWING ON HIGHWAY. REPLACEMENT UNITS QUOTED $125 WITH NO GUARANTEE OF PROBLEM BEING SOLVED. OLD PARTS BOTH AVAILABLE SENSOR & VALVE STEM. TIMES TWO. *TR
2007 PONTIAC TORRENT- LOST POWER STEERING WITHOUT WARNING. STARTED VEHICLE AND THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING. DEALERSHIP ADVISED THAT THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING HAD GONE OUT AND THAT THE ENTIRE STEERING COLUMN MUST BE REPLACED BUT THAT IT WAS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY. VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY THIRD PARTY BY REPLACING THE POWER STEERING MODULE. ALSO THE STABILI- TRAC WARNING CONTINUES TO COME ON AS WELL AS DISABLING ITSELF WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. *TR
AIR CONDITIONER BLOWS OUT HOT AIR. *TR
WHILE DRIVING, NUMEROUS DASH LIGHTS CAME ON . VEHICLE BEGAN TO BUCK AND SHAKE. AS SUDDENLY AS IT BEGAN IT STOPPED. SEVERAL DAYS PASSED UNTIL THE CONDITION OCCURRED AGAIN. TOOK VEHICLE TO DLR FOR SERVICE. ADVISE OF NO PROBLEMS FOUND; WAS TOLD TO TAKE A PICTURE WHEN IT RECURRED. AS SUGGESTED I TOOK PICTURES OF THE INCIDENT. DLR ADVISED HE COULDN'T DETERMINE CONDITION FROM PICTURE. HOWEVER, GM HAD RELEASED A TSB WITH INFOR THAT COULD RESOLVE PROBLEM. THAT WORKED FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. HAD AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR FACILITY CHECK FOR THE SAME PROBLEMS; THEY REPLACED PLUGS AND WIRES.THAT LASTED 2 MONTHS. THEY REPLACED A MODULE. THAT LASTED FOR ABOUT 9 MONTHS NOW THE PROBLEM COMES AND GOES. NO ONE CAN PINPOINT THE EXACT PROBLEM FOR THE LIGHTS COMING ON. *TR
THIS CAR HAS ELECTRICAL PROBLEM EVERY YEAR!!!! THE PASSENGER WINDOWS WON'T WORK AND THE CAR WON'T START THIS HAPPENS EVERY FEW WEEKS!!!! *TR
DURING RAINSHOWERS OUR PONTIAC TORRENT WILL START TO SHUDDER AND LOOSE POWER. THIS HAS HAPPENED IN HEAVY HIGHWAY TRAFFIC NEARLY RESULTING IN AN ACCIDENT. IT HAS BEEN IN TO THE SHOP FIVE TIMES AND NO ONE CAN SEEM TO FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. IT IS A 2007 MODEL YEAR WITH 12500 MILES ON IT. *TR
GOING UP A SMALL GRADE OR JUST DRIVING THE SERVICE STBILITRAK LIT COMES ON AND STAYS ON AS LONG AS CAR IS RUNNING. HAS BEEN IN DEALER THREE TIMES FOR THIS SAME THING. WE WERE TOLD TO BRING THE CAR IN WHEN THIS LIGHT CAME ON AND WE DID, ALL THE TOLD ME IS IT SAID TO REPROGRAM. SEEN THE LAST DEALER VISIT THE LIGHT HAS CAME ON TWO MORE TIMES. THE ONLY THING THAT IS NOTICEABLE IS THE SHIFTING OF TRANSMISSION. *TR
DURING HEAVY RAIN WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE ABS SYSTEM ENGAGED WITHOUT ANY USE OF THE BRAKES CAUSING THE CAR TO PULL FROM SIDE TO SIDE AS THE ABS SYSTEM APPLIED ALTERNATING BRAKES. THIS REPEATED AT LEAST 4 TIMES DURING A 1.5 TO 2 HOUR HIGHWAY DRIVE. ONCE OFF THE HIGHWAY AT A LOWER SPEED THE PROBLEM DID NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. I BROUGHT THE CAR INTO THE DEALER FOR SERVICE. THEY COULD NOT IDENTIFY AND DID NOT TRY TO RECREATE THE PROBLEM. I HAVE AVOIDED HIGHWAY DRIVING IN HEAVY RAIN AND HAVE NOT HAD THE PROBLEM AGAIN. WHEN TAKING THE CAR IN TO THE DEALER FOR AN OIL CHANGE THE OTHER DAY, THEY INSISTED ON INSTALLING A BLACK BOX WITH RED BUTTON. THE SYSTEM IS MASKING TAPED TO THE DASH OF MY CAR AND THE BUTTON IS IN MY CUP HOLDER. I HAVE BEEN INSTRUCT TO PRESS THE RED BUTTON IF THE PROBLEM HAPPENS AGAIN. HOWEVER, IF IT DOES HAPPEN I MUST KEEP BOTH HANDS ON THE WHEEL. *TR

SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AFTER BEING INSPECTED WAS INFORMED THAT THE NOISE WAS THE ANTILOCK BRAKES INFORMING HER THAT IT WAS WORKING. THE CONTACT OBTAINED A SECOND OPINION FROM ANOTHER DEALER AND THEY INFORMED HER THAT THEY WOULD JUST KEEP AN EYE ON IT. USUALLY WHEN IT RAINS THE CONTACT DOES NOT HEAR THE NOISE. THE CONTACT CALLED HER STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL AND THEY INFORMED HER TO CALL THE HIGHWAY SAFETY PATROL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 27,300.

SECOND OCCURRENCE - FIRST TIME IN LATE JUNE...STABILITRAK AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS LIT. SINCE THIS IS ELECTRIC STEERING I AM CONCERNED THAT THIS WILL OCCUR WHILE DRIVING... THE DATE IS THE FIRST INCIDENT, HAD SEVERAL AFTER THAT. I OWNED THE VEHICLE 8 DAYS WHEN THE STABILIZATION, TRACTION CONTROL, ANTI-LOCK BRAKE LIGHTS CAME ON, SO I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, THEY SAID IT WAS A SPEED SENSOR, THEY WOULD ORDER PART. I TOOK IT BACK TO GET IT FIXED, 30 MINUTES LATER SAME PROBLEM AGAIN, LIGHTS CAME ON, SO I WENT BACK, THEY ASSURED ME THEY FIXED IT AND IT WAS A QUOTE "LIGHTS ONLY" ISSUE. A MONTH LATER TOOK IT BACK AGAIN AND LOW AND BEHOLD THE SAME CODE CAME UP AGAIN, SO EITHER THEY FIXED A BAD PART WITH A BAD PART OR ELSE THEY DIDN'T REALLY FIX IT. IT ALSO HAD BEEN RUNNING IN ALL WHEEL DRIVE THE WHOLE TIME, WHICH THEY TOLD ME IT WASN'T THE FIRST TIME. I STILL DIDN'T FEEL SAFE SO TOOK IT TO A DIFFERENT DEALER AND THEY CHECKED AND SAID THE STEERING COMPUTER NEEDED REPROGRAMMED, BUT ON MYGMLINK.COM IT SAID THEY REPLACED THE STEERING COMPUTER AND THE GAS CAP. HERE IT IS 02/06/08 AND ANOTHER ISSUE CAME UP, DEAD BATTERY. *TR

THE DEALER STATED THAT HER VIN WAS EXCLUDED FROM NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 07V344000 (AIR BAGS: FRONTAL: SENSOR/CONTROL MODULE). THE CONTACT FELT THAT HER VEHICLE SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 18,500.

PONTIAC TORRENT(2007 YR ONLY) RIGHT REAR FLEXIBLE BRAKE LINE HOSE TO RR DISC BRAKE CALIPER HAS OVER A 100 DEGREE BEND WITH NO PLAY. WENT TO DENVER AND WAS DRIVING DOWN I-25 LUCKILY ON THE SIDE LANE WHEN STEERING LOCKED UP AGAIN AND THIS TIME I WENT INTO A SNOWBANK , STOPPED INCHES BEFORE HITTING RETAINING WALL. SHUT IT OFF AND STARTED IT AND HAD STEERING AGAIN. TOOK CAR BACK TO DEALER AND HAD FOR 3 WEEKS AND SAYS IT'S FIXED, BUT WON'T TELL IF IT IS GOING TO RUN OFF THE ROAD AGAIN.
