There are 1 owner-reported speed control & cruise complaints for the 2021 Porsche Taycanin NHTSA's database. These are unverified consumer reports and may not reflect confirmed defects.
The Taycan offers what Porsche calls Porsche Innodrive (PID). PID once activated, the car uses navigation information and road signs to automatically adjust the vehicle's speed to the maximum speed limit of the road. In some locations, the vehicle abruptly reduces its speed because PID misreads a Truck Speed Limit sign, e.g.: the vehicle is moving at 65 mph, then it abruptly reduces the speed to 35 mph, which can cause another closely following vehicle to crash into the Taycan.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
