i was traveling about 70 mph on the highway when i hit the accelerator to go around somebody and when i did the vehicle lost power and went into limp mode. service electronic throttle and check engine light came on. took truck to the dealership and they said it was the tone ring. this problem was already a recall in 2020 for this issue but the recall just make the truck start after this malfunction happens. the tone ring is held on my magnetic components. if this tone ring fails every 50 thousand miles which is a great safety hazard as it causes the vehicle to lose power especially on the highway then this needs to be completely covered by a recall even if the issue isn't resolvable. im quoted $1,700 for the tone ring replacement and the truck has been sitting at the dealership for 2 weeks now because the part is on back order from the fact that this is happening a lot. this needs to be corrected and made right for eco diesel owners.
Dear Sir or Madame, The purpose of the communication calls into question New Jersey Turnpike Authority, Interstate commerce, The Public Safety and US Constitutional Law. On 3/31/2023, [XXX](me) was traveling on New Jersey Turnpike. Tickets are issued at the entrance terminal (for CASH commerce) and drivers pay tollbooth attendants at exits by either CASH or EZ PASS (transponders). At Exit 2, on New Jersey Turnpike, a Tollbooth Attendant was absent, 3/31/2023 at 0434. The fee from the entrance terminal, on the New Jersey Turnpike, to exit 2, on the New Jersey Turnpike, is $2.05. I stopped and waited for tollbooth attendant at exit 2 on NJTP. I proceeded on route for my own safety and that of my own property, including a newly-purchased light utility vehicle registered in a different state other than NJ, assuming the obstruction was construction because safety cones diverted traffic in one of the 2 outgoing lanes (the EZ PASS lane, not the CASH lane). I received letter from New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTPA) headed FINAL NOTICE OF ENFORCEMENT ACTION on 5/25/2023 for $82.50. Parallel construction is a law enforcement process of building a parallel, or separate, evidentiary basis for a criminal investigation in order to conceal how an investigation actually began. In the US, a particular form is called evidence laundering, where one police officer (or NJTPA) obtains evidence via means that are in violation of the Fourth Amendment's protection against unreasonable searches and seizures, and then passes it on to another officer or agency, who builds on it and gets it accepted by other courts under good-faith exceptions as applied by the second officer, or agency in question. Exhausting evidence laundering gained momentum in the Supreme Court: 2009 ([XXX] v. United States). The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States NJTPA evidence consists of a motion detection picture which alerts NJTPA to EZ PASS commerce without EZ INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

The engine seems to have failed. Yes it is available for inspection upon request. My safety was put at risk as the vehicle lost all power on the highway. Yes, the problem has been confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. Yes, the vehicle has been inspected, but due diligence needs to be done on the part of the inspectors to get at the root cause of the failure. No, that was one of the most alarming and scary parts is that there were no symptoms, warning messages, etc.
INTERMITTENT FAILURE OF POWER STEERING AT SLOW SPEEDS SUCH AS WHEN TURNING IN AN INTERSECTION. THERE WAS A RECALL S19 FOR THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING CIRCUIT BOARD FOR SELECTED S/N BUT THIS S/N WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE BUILD DATE WAS IN THE DATE RANGE OF THE RECALL. I BELIEVE THEY FAILED TO IDENTIFY THIS UNIT. I CALLED FSA AND THEY WOULD NOT RETROACTIVELY INCLUDE THIS IN THE RECALL. THE DEALER STATED THERE IS NO WAY TO DIAGNOSE SUCH AN INTERMITTENT FAILURE. HOWEVER, THESE ARE THE EXACT SYMPTOMS IDENTIFIED IN THE RECALL.
FAILURE IN ABS CONTROL MODULE. NO NEW REPLACEMENTS AVAILABLE AND NO AFTERMARKET PARTS AVAILABLE. HAVE BEEN UNDER ENGINEERING REVIEW DUE TO COMPONENT FAILURE WITH NO RECALLS ISSUED. IT CONTROL MY ANTI-LOCK BRAKES AND ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL. IT ALSO DISABLES MY 4WD AND TRAILER BRAKE SYSTEM. ACCORDING TO THE DEALER, NO ETA ON A POSSIBLE RETURN OF STOCK. I AM PULLING CODE C2200-49 WHICH INDICATES AN INTERNAL ELECTRICAL FAILURE OF THE COMPONENT. I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE FOR ALMOST 2 1/2 YEARS.

The power steering has suddenly started feeling very sluggish and harder to turn. Seems more apparent at slower speeds. I see it is electric power steering assist.
WHILE MOVING TO SOUTH CAROLINA i NOTICED THAT SOMETHING WAS HANGING, A WIRE OR SOME TYP IF LINE, AS I CRAWLED UNDER THE TRUCK, I FOUND THAT IT WAS THE FUEL TANK STRAP. THE STRAP HAD PULLED OUT FROM THE FRAME THAT WAS CORRODED. I HAVE ALWAYS WASHED THE UNDER CARRIAGE COMING FROM MASSACHUSSETTS AND THE ROAD SALT. AT THE PRESENT TIME I AM USING A TIE DOWN STRAP TO SECURE IN PLACE. SEARCHING THE INTERNET, I FOUND THAT THERE IS SOME TYPE OF RECALL BUT NEVER RECIEVED ANYTHING IN WRITTING.

Power steering went out at 70 mph, making it extremely dangerous to get the truck across 2 lanes of traffic , to the side of the road, dash said “service power steering “ when taken to dealer, no code showed up. My wife could have been severely injured or even died! This is the 3rd time it happened. How can I get it repaired, if they can’t figure out why it went out???
Drove 5 miles and made it to my home then lost steering ability. Screen on dash suddenly said “service power steering”. (Or something like that). I don’t have enough muscles to turn the steering wheel to the hard right to turn. Husband had to turn it up into my driveway. Looked online said check fuses. Just pulled then replaced same fuses then had steering again. Scared to drive truck again. Old power steering recall fixed. (…or says it was.)

The recall W58. The tone ring failed and my truck shut off on highway. Dealer said I have to pay for the repair. They state that they only do the software upgrade and no mechanical repairs. How is it possible that they won’t pay for a damage they know will happen? What is the purpose of a recall if it doesn’t fix the problem?
The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated while attempting to make a sharp right turn; the vehicle lost motive power and stalled without warning. Due to the steering failure, the vehicle coasted across the intersection. I own a 2015 Ram 1500 earlier this year I got a message on the vehicle indicating to service electronic braking system. The ABS light along with the Traction Control light and the Brake light came on at the same time. I took the vehicle to a mechanic to have it checked out. He indicated that the electronic braking module had failed and that it needed to be replaced. The part is not available anywhere. I have contacted dealers in different states as well as other Ram parts stores and it is not available. I have been trying to get this part for over 7 months. According to the mechanic the vehicle's ABS function will not work without this part nor the traction control either. Brakes work like the days of old pre ABS. When I contacted Ram they told me to have the dealer order the part and they could expedite it but the dealers tell me they can't order the part since it shows under engineering review and shows in their system the part will not be available until March 2024. How is it possible that a U.S. automobile manufacturer can not have a vital safety part unavailable for over a year. It is obvious that the part is faulty since it isn't available and there are numerous posts online from other Dodge, Ram and Chrysler owners that have had to replace this part. The part number my specific model is 68228991AD. It is my understanding that this same part is also used in Chrysler, Dodge, RAM, and Jeep models.

The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the shifter to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 73,000.
My engine light came on. I had the dealer hook it up to their diagnostic machine. It came back that cylinder 4 was misfiring. They looked into it a little farther and my camshaft and Lifter was no good. I bought this vehicle used and there had been no recalls fixed on it. We did have the airbag recall fixed. The Hemi 5.7 engines seem to have this problem and is well-known for it.
My electric power steering is intermittently working like in the S19 recall states and I never had this recall taken care of to my knowledge. I bought the truck brand new and it falls under the vehicles affected. I do not know where to start with this issue and I am hoping that you can help me see this thru to get fixed correctly. It is a very dangerous issue

Over time, the failure became more frequent and excessive force was needed to steer the vehicle. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer and was informed that the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.
My truck has an issue with reading how much gas is in the truck. When I fill it up it goes to full but after about 40 miles it shows empty and the check engine light comes on. The vehicle has about 66500 miles on it. Talked to the dealer and was told it is a common problem with this vehicle.
The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving approximately 35-45 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The throttle warning light illuminated after the vehicle was restarted. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the failure was due to the fuel pump. The dealer informed the contact that the parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no additional assistance. The contact stated the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel). The failure mileage was approximately 98,600.
The electronic power steering rack failed. It became dangerous as the power steering would go in and out, therefore, putting myself and others at the risk of a collision or crash. The dodge dealership was able to replace the unit, but it took 1-1/2 months as the part was on backorder and it cost $3,600. There was a recall on this exact issue for my same model and year, however, I was told my truck was not part of the recall.
complete loss of power steering. Power steering unit still in vehicle and available for inspection upon request. currently looking for a replacement
Observed several instances of the OEM air suspension system becoming disabled due to cold temperatures. Vehicle would fail to adjust ride height to normal, DIC woukd display message AIR SUSPENSION NOT AVAILABLE and would ride as if vehicle has no suspension. Any attempt to adjust would display message SELECTED REIGJT HEIGHT UNAVAILABLE. On ice packed roads and bridges, the pickup would tend to wander after going over the bumps and uneven icy areas, at one point this evening putting the pickup into a mild fish-tail. Contacted a personal friend that is a mechanic at local Ram dealer and was told this is a well known problem with the Ram 1500 air suspension and is not a recalled item. I believe that as suspension is a key component for vehicle safety and handling, the NHSTA ought to mandate FCA to correct the issue through a comprehensive recall.
Tailgate does not latch properly. Falls open randomly.
I have no power steering assist. There is a recall on this problem but according to Fiat - Chrysler my truck is not included in the recall. I could understand this if the manufacturing dates were much further apart. The beginning date for the recall is January 22, 2015. My truck manufacturing date is listed as January 2015, with no day given. Seems like there is a chance mine could be affected by the same problem. I have not had it fixed yet so the problem is still there. It is available for inspection. The problem started approximately mid December 2022 and has gotten steadily worse.
The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated while driving approximately 60-80 MPH, the vehicle went into LIMP Mode and the speed was reduced. A message indicating that the engine would shut down after 170 miles was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that there were metal shavings in the high-pressure fuel pump. The dealer determined that the fuel system needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the dealer only replaced the fuel rails, and the failure recurred on the same day of the repair. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where an unknown repair was performed; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to a second dealer, Monahan’s Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (403 E Interstate 20. Monahan’s, TX 79756), where the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) pump was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and several cases were opened. There was no further assistance provided. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

On occasions too numerous to list the engine suddenly loses power. This has been very, very dangerous, especially on the interstates. The recall on the fuel pump was issued in June and 5+ months later still no solution. How much longer am I supposed to drive this dangerous vehicle?
The issue described in NHTSA campaign 18V160000 is still present in model years later than currently covered. My 2015 truck has this same issue caused by the same defect. Noise was noticed while on daily commute on interstate, traveling approx 65 MPH. Upon inspection T slot bracket for the front fuel strap was corroded causing the fuel tank strap to fall out. Fuel tank was hanging by back strap only, did not contact the roadway, and the loose strap was making contact with the driveshaft.
Front Tank strap holder on frame failed. The front of the tank fell down and ripped the hoses and cracked fuel filter cover. The vehicle was running and spilled several gallons of fuel on the ground.
Driving approximately 80 mph on the interstate when the truck completely shut off-total power failure. I was lucky and able to pull off, once I took the key out the truck started. Took to the dealer who stated they couldn’t duplicate the issue. 6 months later driving on side street same issue, truck shut down while driving with complete power failure. Reported issue to dealer who said call Fiat Chrysler. Spoke to Fiat Chrysler stated no fix currently available, no rental car or loaner would be provided despite this truck being unsafe to drive.
My RAM has been diagnosis with the same faulty manifold bolts as what seems to be numerous other 3rd and 4th generation RAMs and is resulting in dangerous exhaust leakage along with the potential for it to cause heads to cease while driving. I discovered the prevalence of reports of the same issue after my dealer diagnosed the issue while repairing a faulty air bag that has been recalled. The dealer quoted me $2,031.89 to make the repairs (see attached). In one forum alone, there are 100s of people that have cited the same issue and some have left their NHTSA complaint IDs: 11321983, 11317189, 11321434.
The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving 35 MPH, the steering wheel became firm which made the vehicle difficult to operate. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the failure was due to the electric power steering assist being inoperable. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and determined that the VIN was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 179,000.
When pulling out onto Highway vehicle did not accelerate as it should and lost power when accelerating. Did get up to Highway miles. Lights on dash said electronic throttle control. Thought maybe the computer needed reset so removed battery cables and still nothing.
The air suspension on this vehicle continuously fails I've had to replace the rear airbags multiple times as well as the air compressor it will fail while driving down the interstate if it sits overnight will come back out to a truck that's completely on the ground it will fail and drain all the air out of the rear airbags but not the front or the left side but not the right side especially in colder climates. The dealership near my house has told me that this is a major problem that they see all the time and the remedy that they suggested was removing the air suspension and replacing with a aftermarket air suspension delete kit or replacing the entire system which the front air spring and shock assembly each cost $1,800 the rear air spring costs $1,400 and the pump is almost $3,000 the lines all together add up to about $1,000 and the labor to have this done is another two to $3,000 Plus refilling the system with nitrogen the dealership said even doing all of this it might last 2 years it might last 6 months. I did buy this vehicle used and was unaware of the issues that this vehicle has had with this system when I purchased the vehicle I have now found that this is an extremely common problem that the manufacturer has ignored I'm lucky that I am a skilled and experienced driver and am able to handle these issues but if my wife had to deal with this it could have resulted in a major accident crash or her death. When the entire side of the vehicle drops two to three inches out of nowhere at highway speeds. And this is not a single occurrence this has happened at least a hundred times over the last winter and now became more prominent during the hot humid days of summer
