Data synced from NHTSA on May 4, 2026
The tow mirrors that are on this vehicle have to many blind spots and have caused us to have multiple situations of very close wrecks. The latest date being 1/7/2026
The contact owns a 2025 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving downhill in the mountains at approximately 50 MPH and pulling a 2024 Ember 190MSL Overland RV, the brake pedal was depressed, and the vehicle decelerated as intended; however, the trailer brakes failed to engage, causing the RV to roll sideways and to crash into the rear of the vehicle. The RV's weight distribution was fractured, causing the front end of the vehicle to spin against the guard rail and to face the opposite direction. The contact shifted to Park(P). The RV's weight distribution pinned the muffler, and the bed panel of the vehicle was damaged during the crash. Additionally, the vehicle sustained front-end damage. The check engine warning light was illuminated after the crash. The air bags did not deploy. The were no reported injuries. The vehicle was towed to an autobody repair shop, where it was being repaired. The RV was towed and totaled. The insurance company accident reconstruction specialist confirmed that the accident had occurred due to trailer brakes failure. The contact learned about NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V059000(Exterior Lighting, Electrical System) in the news and confirmed that the VIN was included. The contact related the failure to the recall. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was contacted and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 3,290.
The contact owns a 2025 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, while starting the vehicle, several warning lights illuminated after manually starting the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on several occasions. While attempting to shift the vehicle into 4WD, the vehicle failed to respond and remained in 2WD. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 10,000.
Hello! car in question was involved in a car accident 12/23/2025- with over $38,000 in repairs, damage frame and heavy front end damage the air bags DID NOT deploy. We are extremely concerned and honestly upset that the unit that is meant to protect didnt do its job. Although there was no injuries but the amount of force of the impact is concerning
Parking sensor failed when pulling in parking spot and didn’t alert driver of concrete light pole that was approaching vehicle.
The contact owns a 2025 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 70 MPH, the battery was abnormally drained, and the vehicle lost power. The Battery warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the same local dealer on various occasions. The battery and other unknown parts were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.
When turn signal is engaged (left, right, or hazard,) the normal turn signal sound randomly changes pitch and tone. This is an intermittent problem. Dealership has updated software which did not fix the problem. The signal lights work but the sound makes it seem as if there is a warning other than a normal turn signal sound. There are at least two social media posts about this exact issue on a 2025 and 2026 Ram 1500.
Vehicle shut off while driving several times. Light issues Powered down shifting This truck had done this several times and been returned to dealer. Dealer states take it somewhere else they doing what Stellantis told them
Despite multiple repair attempts, the vehicle continues to experience significant, recurring issues that substantially impair its use, value, and safety. Since purchase in April from Hebert’s Town and Country, the vehicle has been in service nine (9) times, totaling approximately 50 days out of service. The last four service visits were for the same issue and the same diagnostic fault code, demonstrating a persistent, unresolved defect. The check engine light is currently illuminated again. The primary unresolved issues include: recurring check engine light with repeated fault codes, multiple battery replacements, the vehicle being completely inoperable and requiring towing, and the auto start/stop system shutting the vehicle off and failing to restart while stopped in traffic. These conditions present clear safety concerns and have persisted despite repeated repair attempts by authorized RAM dealerships. All service records and diagnostic reports are available for review. This vehicle was previously submitted to arbitration. While the arbitrator acknowledged manufacturing defects, the conclusion that the defects did not substantially impair the vehicle and were “separate and distinct” is inconsistent with the diagnostic evidence. The repeated appearance of the same fault code across multiple visits indicates a single, recurring nonconformity rather than unrelated issues. Since the arbitration decision, the vehicle has continued to experience the same problem and has been returned for additional repairs. The vehicle is now awaiting inspection by a manufacturer field engineer due to the dealership’s inability to diagnose or permanently repair the defect, further confirming that prior repair attempts have failed. In good faith, I contacted the manufacturer’s retention team to seek alternative resolution options, including replacement or trade-in, which were denied. Please confirm receipt of this request in writing and advise on next steps.
Blind Spot Alert has no volume setting. It is either on or off. It is extremely loud to the point it will startle the driver and occupants. While in motion in left turn lane it will detect vehicles in opposing lanes and sound. When making turns, it will detect my trailer and sound. It will detect utility poles and sound. The over detecting wouldn't be such a problem, but it is probably four times volume needed for the alert. Front collision, rear collision both have volume settings and "Low" has plenty of volume. Most people complaining on the forums simply turn off the audio alert due to no volume setting and rely only on the light. The volume is so loud it defeats the purpose of the audio alert when the only option is to turn it off. Please require RAM to fix this problem.
About 3 times already the vehicle have stalled after been stop at a traffic light. When I lift my foot from the brake pedal and hit the gas the vehicle does not move. I had to hit the brakes and put it in park and then drive again for it to go. The last time yesterday I was on a hill and the vehicle went back when I tried to hit the gas. I took it to the dealer on Nov 19, and they kept it for four days and did not repair it.
The rear view camera and screen turn off while backing up. I have taking it to the dealer for repairs two time with no results.
Tire monitoring system started with one tired then on to all tires one at a time came on. Then one at a time went off. Also the big display doesn't turn off when vehicle does. I have to turn truck back on and off again to get it to shut off. Just randomly shuts off going down the road. Passenger screen doesn't turn on most days. Also lights turn on by themselves in thr middle of thr night.
Headlight shut off when truck slows down
Due to cold weather tire pressure went down, notice on screen is telling me to inflate to 50 psi. This information is incorrect.
Headlights flicker off and then back on at random times while driving. I've been unable to reproduce the issue on command in any way. No warning lamps or anything by the truck. The first couple times while driving at night I thought it was my eyes because it happened when I was looking away like when turning around a neighborhood corner and checking for traffic. Now, I've noticed it happening while driving straight and looking out the windshield. It's a very brief flicker, but it's definitely the headlights shutting off and turning back on again. The issue has not been reported to the dealer yet. The truck is brand new and is experiencing other electrical blips at only 800 miles total. I will be stopping at a local dealer ASAP.
Check engine light is on and off for the past month. The day before I took it to the dealer the light went off. I went into my vehicle appointment, and the check engine light was off and there were old codes for the fuel temperature. He reset the codes, and the engine light went off. I drove off and obtained fuel the next day and when I filled the tank, the check engine light went back on again. On December 21st, 2025 I drove it to an AutoZone for the free engine code diagnostic tool/test. The code that presents itself is "Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Intermittent". This is the second issue with the vehicles electrical system. The first was two weeks after I bought the vehicle in March 2025 the vehicle would not start. Come to find out, the electronic shifter was wired wrong from the factory and a whole new was ordered and installed. I will have to take it back again to the dealer.
1. Nature of Safety Complaint I am submitting this complaint to report repeated and unresolved safety-related defects affecting my 2025 Ram 1500 manufactured by Stellantis (FCA US LLC). The vehicle has experienced ongoing failures of safety-related systems since purchase on August 6, 2025. Despite multiple repair attempts at three authorized dealerships, the issues persist and the vehicle has remained out of service for over four months. 2. Dealership Repair History (Safety Context) Repairs were performed at: Colonial Dodge Dartmouth Quirk CDJR Dorchester Colonial Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram The vehicle is currently in dealer possession (Hudson, MA) for ongoing repairs. 3. Safety-Related Defects A. Parking Sensor System Failure Front and rear parking sensors repeatedly malfunction. These are collision-avoidance / driver-assist safety systems. Multiple repair orders document ongoing failures. System reliability is compromised despite repeated software updates and module replacements. Safety Concern: Increased risk of collision due to nonfunctional proximity detection. B. Electronic Module & Software Instability Repeated failures and updates involving: Transmission control module Electric power steering module Driver/passenger door modules Instrument cluster Security Gateway (SGW) Safety Concern: Electronic instability affecting steering, transmission control, or driver information systems could pose crash risk. C. Unintended Sunroof Operation Sunroof tilts open unexpectedly. Safety Concern: Unexpected opening while driving may distract driver or create hazardous conditions at highway speeds. D. Running Board Malfunction Running boards malfunction intermittently. Safety Concern: Risk of slip, fall, or injury during entry/exit. E. Battery Failures While in Dealer Custody Both batteries reportedly failed while vehicle was at dealership. Safety Concern: Electrical instability may affect essential systems.
Unable to smoothly and safely accelerate from a stop. If you apply the lightest possible touch to the throttle the vehicle will surge and have a shuttering feeling, not smooth or linear, once pressed slightly further the truck accelerates in an unsafe fashion both forward and reverse . Hooking up a trailer is very dangerous as are all maneuvers when pulling away from a stop.
Key Fob intermittently stops communicating. Both key sets do the same and have replaced FOB batteries. Nearly 50% of the time the key FOB will not work or start vehicle. A message is displayed that the key is not in the vehicle.
While operating the vehicle, the engine shut off unexpectedly and without warning while the vehicle was in traffic. In one incident, the vehicle was stopped at a traffic light and, when the accelerator was pressed after the light turned green, the engine cut off and the transmission automatically shifted into PARK. The vehicle became disabled in active traffic with other vehicles behind it. A similar incident occurred previously in a parking lot. The vehicle began sputtering and then shut off when shifted into reverse, again forcing the transmission into PARK. These events occurred after the vehicle had recently been returned from an authorized dealership where it was reported that all issues were repaired. The malfunction appears to involve the engine, electrical system, and powertrain, specifically a loss of engine power combined with an unintended automatic shift into PARK. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request and is currently back at an authorized dealership for service. These failures placed my safety and the safety of others at risk by leaving the vehicle suddenly disabled in traffic, blocking lanes, and creating a risk of rear-end collision. One incident occurred during morning rush hour with surrounding vehicles, increasing the risk to other motorists. The problem has occurred multiple times and has been reported to and inspected by authorized dealerships on several occasions. Diagnostic testing, software/system updates, electrical inspections, and component replacements have been performed. Despite these inspections and repair attempts, the problem continues and has not been resolved. Prior to and during the failures, warning messages and alerts appeared on the dashboard, including repeated ParkSense warnings and other system alerts. In some instances, additional warning messages appeared at the time of the shutdown. These warnings have occurred intermittently since earlier service visits. The vehicle has been inspected by authorized dealers
The first major problem was when the truck just didn't start 11/25/2025. The truck was towed to the dealership. The dealership said it was a bad electrical fuse and I picked up the truck. There were no warning lights on before the brake failure. Last week, 12/18/2025 my brakes failed while I was driving my son home from school; thankfully we were in our development and going very slow so we weren't harmed. I was driving like I normally do, and went to brake, and the brakes weren't working, the pedal was to the floor. There was just no resistance with the brakes at that time. All the warning lights in the truck were flashing. After we rolled to a stop in the grass, I turned the truck off. I tried to turn it back on but it wouldn't go on. I waited a few mintues and tried again and it turned on. I was a few houses away from my home so I attempted to drive it again very slowly, and the brakes worked again. The truck got towed to the dealership, and the dealership is saying they can not find anything wrong with the truck now. There must be some kind of major electrical issue going on, but the dealership says they can't find anything wrong.
The engine light will come on and go off at various times for no apparent reason and the odometer/mileage will start flashing and do so for periods of time, When this occurs certain features become unavailable such as the remote start will not engage. The warranty item/part has been confirmed by dealership and they do not have the part to correct with no expected repair time for this warranty on this item. The car is only 6 months old and gas been at dealership 3 times with no fix
There have been systemic cylinder misfires (each cylinder), anomalous electrical architecture behavior, and transmission calibration irregularities. The check engine light indicated multiple cylinder misfires, which I understand from the dealer is a common issue with the 2025 model. As the driver, there are a few major issues: Chassis Vibration-pronounced shaking or shuddering transmitted through the steering wheel and seat, particularly during the first engine start of the day or idling. Idle Instability-An erratic or surging idle, where the tachometer needle fluctuates noticeably without any throttle input. Throttle Hesitation-A distinct stumble, lethargy, or loss of power when attempting to accelerate from a stop or while merging. It also requires more energy to accelerate, and stops faster. This problem has been addressed at three (3) CDJR dealerships now, and is still ongoing. The car only has 26k miles on it.
Driver's side headlight shines excessively to the left. Blinding oncoming traffic and not illuminating the forward path of travel the way the passenger headlight does. Not able to adjust the headlight and dealer is not able to do anything about it either.
Headlights and parking lights shut completely off while driving. Not just a flash. They turn off and come back on while slowing down. Not only are we driving in total darkness but other drivers think we are blinking lights and turn or pull in front of us. Truck was bought new in April 2025. Has been at dealership for over 120 days. They don't seem to be able to fix and won't give us a replacement. They seem to thinking that driving without lights is not a safety issue. Just in short time we actually had possession of it . I personally had to take invasive action twice from a pull out and a vehicle turning left in front of me. Wife also had to take invasive action to prevent a collision. Now she is scared to drive her own vehicle.
On November 16th while on vacation and traveling through west Texas, our 2025 Ram 1500 SST Lonestar cancelled our adaptive cruise and automatic emergency brake. A message popped up again stating "Auto Emergency Braking (AEB)/ACC Unavailable Service Required". We were pulling our travel trailer and we found that if we shut off vehicle, it would reset and appear to work for a short time but would them cancel our adaptive cruise and automatic emergency brake. On November 17th we took it to Sisbarro CDJR in Deming, NM and they claimed they couldn't verify our problem with a 30 minute text drive. So their tech did an update to the PCM and gave us the truck back. We hitched up the next day and with 15 minutes the problem happened again. We stopped using the adaptive cruise control and started using the regular cruise. The message continued and we continued to Surprise, AZ without the ACC and AEB. On Monday, November 24th, we took the vehicle to Larry Miller CDJR in Surprise, AZ. After I described the ongoing problem to the service writer, he told that it would be 3 or 4 days before they could look at it and it could take at least an additional 2 days to repair if they could recreate the problem. I asked him if he thought it was safe to drive back to Mansfield, TX and he said it should be okay. Over the next three days we returned home and continued to have the problem with the ACC and AEB warning. I've have called Classic CDJR in Arlington, TX and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday, December 2nd at 7 am.
Dashboard went blank, lost all information including speed
Date: November 12, 2025 Vehicle: 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn 3.0 Dealer: Frank Boucher Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Janesville – 4001 Milton Ave, Janesville, WI 53546 I have been experiencing ongoing electrical and instrument cluster failures with my 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn 3.0 since purchase. The most serious issue is a recurring message: “Warning Light Illumination Cannot Be Shown – Service Required.” This means the cluster cannot guarantee display of safety alerts such as the check engine, airbag, brake, or oil pressure lights. This is a major safety hazard because I may not be warned of a system failure while driving. The truck also shows false “Trailer Light Out” warnings when no trailer is connected, indicating a fault in the Body Control Module (BCM) or CAN bus communication. This may cause incorrect trailer or brake-light behavior, putting other drivers at risk if brake or turn-signal lighting fails to operate properly. It also displays a false “Too Much Oil” warning despite normal levels, and the 3.0 engine has no dipstick, preventing manual verification. The truck has also failed to start multiple times with both the remote fob and manual ignition. On November 12, 2025, it would not start at all; after several attempts, it started with the check engine light briefly on, then it turned off on its own. I have brought the vehicle to the dealer twice. Technicians confirmed Dodge/Stellantis is aware of the defect but said no repair or software update currently exists. The issue has been reproduced and documented. Based on symptoms and dealer feedback, this is likely a BCM or instrument cluster communication fault within the vehicle’s CAN network, affecting ignition, lighting, and safety indicator functions. It directly violates FMVSS 101 (controls and displays) and poses a serious road-safety risk. I request a full NHTSA investigation and recall for this defect, as it affects multiple Ram 1500 models and leaves drivers unaware of critical system failures.
When any tire pressure is detected as low, my 3.5 inch display in front of the steering wheel switches to a display showing the four tires and each tire pressure with the low tire in a different color. Now here's the problem, a message is also displayed below the graphic saying "inflate to 50 psi". The door placard inflation is 36psi. 50psi is close to the MAX inflation list on the side wall of the tires as 51 psi. This is the exact problem listed in the existing safety recall NHTSA 25V-231, however my vehicle is not showing up as included in this recall. I believe there has been an error in identification of some affected vehicles. That is the sole purpose of this request, to make sure all impacted vehicles are properly identified. I suspect mine is not the only one not identified.
2025 Ram 4x4 had approx 2500 miles when the instrument panel went completely blank. Was driving so pulled over, turned off engine, then back on with no cure. Went to my destination, parked the truck for 4 hrs and when returned problem was gone. Went to the dealer to report the issue and they said there wasn't a fix. Now I have received a safety recall on the truck 3 weeks later. I'll go back to the dealer to see what they can do???
Glass sunroof exploded
Truck was with the dealership for two weeks, they took it on a test drive. When they got back to the dealership, the truck caught on fire which they stated was "blown up starter"
When applying brakes there is an audible chirping noise from the front driver side wheel well area. There is also a similar noise while driving (and not applying pressure to the brake pedal) when going over bumps/holes in the road. Concern initially reported to dealer in Spring of 2025, dealer confirmed hearing the noise under both situations listed. Dealer removed then greased and re-installed components in brake caliper. Noise subsided for a few months, however it has since returned. In addition there are now evident issues with braking ability when traveling at speed.
My truck has an issue where the headlights do not turn on when I press the key fob while approaching the truck. This is at night only. The side mirror lights, rear cargo lights and interior lights activate however the headlights do not. This is an issue for personal safety when approaching the truck in the dark. There must be a glitch. The headlights will illuminate during the daytime when it is bright out or if the remote start is activated. The vehicle was seem by a Ram Dealership and no active recalls were present. Manufacturer Recall No. : D4B which addresses some headlight issues apparently did not effect my truck and no flash was done on the software. I feel that this is a major safety concern as I am unable to brightly see my surroundings when I approach my truck.
I have been to the dealership twice because the driver's side headlight points way to the left, it's not centered. They said there is no adjustment for bringing it to center position. It's a hazard because there is no lighting in front of the driver. There's an obvious blind spot.
On [XXX], while driving my 2025 Ram 1500 Laramie at approximately 60 mph on a dark rural road, the truck suddenly stalled without warning. The engine shut off, but all lights and electrical systems initially remained powered. I shifted into Neutral and attempted to restart while coasting, at which point the truck completely lost electrical power — headlights, dash, ignition button, and interior lighting all went dead. I initially thought I might have accidentally cycled the ignition button off, but repeated attempts to restart had no response. As I rolled to a stop, the vehicle automatically shifted itself into Park, causing a sudden and violent stop. Once stationary, the truck restarted normally as if nothing had happened. Prior to this event, there were multiple related issues: – On [XXX], the truck would crank but not start for about 30–40 minutes before finally starting normally. – On [XXX], a check engine light appeared during an hour drive to LAX. After parking and restarting, the light disappeared. – On September 29, 2025, I took the truck to Crown Dodge in Ventura County, CA, where a wireless OBD-II scan found no codes. I was advised to return if the problem persisted. – A few months prior, the truck stalled at low speed when pulling forward from a stop in a parking lot. The [XXX] incident was extremely dangerous, leaving me completely unpowered and invisible to oncoming traffic at night. These repeated, escalating failures suggest a serious intermittent electrical or control system defect that could result in a crash or injury. The dealer has not responded to my attempts to contact them on October 13, 2025. I was able to get ahold of their receptionist but get sent to voicemails when transferred. Some of the boxes were already full and others I left voicemails but no response back none the less. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Purchased a 2025 Ram 1500 Rebel X ($82k MSRP, fully loaded) in May 2025 for family use and towing horse trailers in remote areas (solo female driver). At ~8,000 miles, it has had repeated electrical failures under warranty, creating safety hazards (shift lock, stranding risks, public safety impact). No Stellantis fix; Q4 2025 software promised. Video of Oct 10 incident available. Timeline: • May 2025: Took delivery. Used for errands, remote towing. • Sept 10, 2025 (~7,500 miles): Truck non-responsive in driveway (no fob/locks/dash/start). Blocked spouse’s SWAT vehicle, delaying emergency response (public safety hazard). Towed to dealer via Stellantis Customer Care. • Sept 11-12, 2025 (Visit #1, 2 days out): ‘Dead battery’ diagnosed; replaced. Issues continued to occur. • Sept 12 - Oct 10, 2025: Electrical issues impaired use: slow Uconnect screens (distraction); stuck radio volume; ‘Illumination Alert Unavailable’ (headlight issues); settings not saving (HUD/seats); locks cycling unprompted; proximity key unreliable (stranding risk). Lost trust for towing. • Oct 10, 2025 (~7,900 miles): In remote pasture after dark, cluster went black (no gauges); engine started but transmission locked in Park (‘D’ flashing). Stranded solo female driver (no cell service; tow inaccessible—severe safety risk). Restarts failed; sat 10 min, self-resolved. Video available. Drove home cautiously. • Oct 11, 2025 - Present Oct 14, 2025 (Visit #2, 10+ days): At dealer for cluster/shift/BCM issues. Prior issues noted. No ETA; no contact since Oct 14. Base-trim loaner inadequate. Electrical faults cause no-start, shift lock, stranding—risking emergencies. SWAT vehicle blockage was a major public safety hazard. No crashes/injuries, but repeated risks for female driver. Request NHTSA investigation/recall for 2025 Ram electrical systems.
Vehicle shifted into park while on the highway
Bought 2025 Dodge Ram on 9/9/24. Since then I have had it into the shop 10+ times. There is a check engine light that comes on. Engine runs VERY rough and erratic. Had issues driving away from a stop light, chugging, lack of power. Making a left hand turn is taking my life in my hands! Each time at the dealership, they run the codes. P0300 is the primary. They just say its a known issue. Manufacture is working on it. IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR NOW!! They have never actually done anything to the vehicle other than run diagnostics and turn off the light. In fact the last time I picked up the vehicle 9/12/25, they didn't even turn off the light. Tech said, "whats the point?" I have elevated this with the manufacture Case94136984. There reply was that its not dangerous and a fix is coming. Have you ever tried to make a left hand turn and the truck stops and starts chugging??? Even the dealership stated this IS a safety concern. Question of the day: This is a 2025 Dodge Ram. Are they STILL selling these vehicles with this known issue??? If they have fixed it in new sells, then FIX MINE! I have records of each time the light has come on, had it into the dealership, and been turned away because "there's nothing we can do, Dodge wont let us do more"
My wife and I were driving at approximately 30 mph down a street with no vehicles or obstructions around. My truck auto braking initiated and locked up the brakes stopping us immediately and the vehicle turned off. I've taken the truck to the dealership for other electronic errors and issues, but they always get dismissed since they don't stay stored for the dealership to troubleshoot. They always clear when the vehicle restarts. Minor injuries from seatbelt due to sudden stop. Unsure of other damage to vehicle or tires. Thankfully no cars were behind us or we would have been rear ended.
This vehicle has less than 3,000 miles on it and has been in the shop at least three times for a recurring issue with the transmission "lunging" and "clunking hard upon down shift and upshift (automatic). The electrical system and computer are confused and cause the vehicle to literally stop and not engage in gear while driving! Today, the truck was in DRIVE awhile I was sitting at a light in heavy traffic. When I hit the gas at light change, the truck revved up but did not go! I was almost hit from behind as I had no brake lights indicated. Additionally, I kept getting a flashing gear selector indicator knob saying to put the TRUCK IN PARK AND SELECT THE DRIVE OPTION. I did but it still wouldn't go. I then got a software update light on the screen and the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT came on. I finally had to literally wave people around me in traffic as I was stalled out. I turned the truck off, restarted and it moved forward BUT at a high RPM. I have parked the truck but the dealer service is full up until late in the week and RAM CARE representatives were foreign and did not speak English well (I could not clearly understand them in my emergency call). Dealer is unwilling to act decisively to a life or death situation (opinion mine). SO we need to ensure we don't get killed or injured (God forbid) and IF there is a serious incident with this vehicle, there is documentation to attest it has been "serviced" several times for the electrical system fluctuating, the transmission dropping, and the engine not engaging the power train while driving. Attaching a PHOTO of the CURRENT Dash Lights (Warnings on the Left) and check engine light being on AFTER I got the vehicle re-running.
My 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn, ~6,000 miles) experienced a steering-assist failure and then a ruptured coolant hose that sprayed coolant over electronics. Dealer (Hendrick Hoover) refused warranty service and instructed me to leave their property. Ram Customer Care told me to drive the unsafe truck home while my child was onboard. The vehicle is now inoperable and unsafe. I have photos and video of the leak and the dealer refusing service. I request an urgent safety investigation and that NHTSA notify Stellantis that my vehicle presents a clear safety risk.
Transmission has a delay when acceleration. This happens when i start to take off from being at a complete stop or.when i pull into traffic. Took it to dealer and they said they are aware of this issue. They did a relearn to the system but problem is still happening. This happens every day.
The contact owns a 2025 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at a slow speed, the instrument panel went dark. The contact entered the parking lot of a grocery store, and the instrument panel was still dark. The vehicle was turned off and restarted after several minutes, but the instrument panel was still dark. The gear shift lever was shifted to drive(D), and the vehicle failed to move or function as intended. The gear shift lever was shifted to reverse(R), and the vehicle failed to function as intended. After several attempts, the vehicle was able to drive forward; however, the instrument panel was still dark. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed. The vehicle was restarted to drive back to the residence, and the instrument panel illuminated as intended, and the gear lever operated as intended. On a separate occasion, the message "Warning Light Illumination Unavailable -Service Required" was displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the instrument cluster had an intermittent internal fault and needed to be replaced. The instrument panel was replaced. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, the infotainment system failed to function as intended and displayed a blue screen. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The infotainment screen was replaced. The contact stated that the system glitched. Most recently, while driving at 40-50 MPH, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted to first gear. The contact stated that the transmission was in manual mode and the engine made a revving sound. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road and turned off. After a short while, the vehicle was restarted and functioned as intended. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, no cause for the failure was found. Most recently, the subwoofer failed to function as intended. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, and the subwoofer was replaced. The contact stated that the failure with
The contact owns a 2025 Ram 1500. The contact had experienced several electrical failures since purchasing the vehicle brand new. The contact stated that there was a sudden loss of power steering functionality, and the Lane Keep Assist would engage and normally vibrated the steering wheel; however, the vehicle and steering wheel continued to vibrate after the vehicle was centered. Additionally, the vehicle lost the instrument cluster image and power window functionality. The master window lock switch on the driver's side console had never worked since purchasing the vehicle. The failures were intermittent. The contact stated that occasionally, several warning lights were illuminated during the failures. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer where it was diagnosed, and determined that the TFT module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer and was still being diagnosed. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and referred the contact back to the dealer for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.
Upon starting my vehicle, numerous warning lamps/messages appeared to include: - "Service Electronic Stability Control" - "4WD System Temporarily Unavailable" - "Auto Emergency Braking (AEB) Off" - "Blind Spot Alert Unavailable Service Required" (the blind spot indicator lights on the side mirrors were also illuminated) In addition to the above warnings, I no longer had electronic power steering, making the vehicle nearly impossible to turn. Thankfully I was parked when all of this occurred. Had I been driving, the loss of power steering alone could have been catastrophic. I shut down the vehicle hoping that the issues would resolve upon restart. Unfortunately they did not. It took multiple more shutdowns/restarts and approximately 20 minutes before the problems disappeared and the vehicle seemed to be functioning properly. I immediately drove the vehicle to the dealership for service. As of this writing, they have not been able to replicate the problem nor find a cause.
Truck randomly will go into neutral after being placed in gear and moving. I will place the vehicle in drive to exit my driveway. It has happened twice at the exact same spot/conditions. As I turn out of my driveway and begin to accelerate the truck will tell me to put shifter in park and select gear. The truck places itself in neutral. You must come to a stop, put in park then back to drive and continue on. This is extremely dangerous if it were to happen at the wrong time! Fortunately I live on a back road with little traffic but if it happens in a bust intersection there will very likely be an accident.
On Sept 22, 2025, the vehicle completely shut off while my son was driving the car to school. The car was in Drive and gave no warning at all. It just shut off in the middle of the road while he was driving appx 25-30mph. He was able to restart the car and get to school safely. When he left school a few hours later and started to drive home, the car shut off again, without warning and while it was in Drive, again appx 25-30 mph. He was able to restart it, and then pulled into the nearest parking lot, and had the car towed to the dealership. On Sept 25, the dealer said they updated the software for "PCM" and "TCM", and replaced the Ignition System Control Module. I picked the car up later that day and began to drive home. About 10 miles into my drive home, the vehicle shut off again, without warning. The car was towed again and now the dealership is telling me they can't find anything wrong with it. This car is going to cause a serious accident and/or a serious injury or death.
Cluster display went blank leaving me with no speed information.
