I READ ABOUT THE RECALLS ON THE 2024 2025 RAM 2500 3500 MODELS WITH AN ENGINEERING PROBLEM ON TWO DIFFERENT VENDORS MAKING CONTROLERS FOR FCA.
The ABS, traction control, and 4x4 lights all came on at the same time. None are operable. During my research I was able to find recall 75b that aligns with the exactly with my current set of issues. 24v-653 is the NHTSA recall number associated. I need that recall added to my vehicle so I can get the very unsafe issue fixed
I had to hard brake on a damp roadway at about 50 mph. The truck began to rotate and skid. I had no control over the vehicle until it stopped. The dash lights came on for a failure of the brakes, abs, traction control, and stability control. All of the lights went off then the truck seemed to drive normally. A short time later the lights came on and would not go off. Took the truck to the dealer. The hydraulic control unit was bad and was replaced. This did not fix the truck. Now it needs an abs control module. The truck remains at the dealer awaiting this repair. This appears to be a problem in the previous model year Ram 2500’s and it looks like my 2022 is affected also. There are recalls for these trucks but not for my model year.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed and traveled to the floorboard. There was no warning illuminated. The contact engaged the parking brakes to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the failure persisted, and several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The approximate failure mileage was 44,000.
1. Complete Brake Failure. No warning lights came on. There is no emergency warning system for Brake Failure. This could have been catastrophic. This could have turned deadly if we were driving on the highway with no warnings Dec 15, 2024 I drove the truck during the day on the highway and made various stops for Christmas Shopping. I went for dinner with my Family. After dinner climbed into the truck and depressed the break and started the truck. Once the truck started the break pedal could be pushed to the back floorboards. I know this was not right. Turned the truck off and started it again and up it in drive thinking it would correct. It did not turned onto a sidewalk put he truck in park and called a towtruck. 2. The 12" display goes black constantly. Even after several software upgrades. You cannot see heat/radio/ mapping/ phone system nothing it completely shuts down 3. Transmission, when you stop and then drive slowly, press the brakes lift off the brakes slightly the truck lunges forward so you really have to be careful or you will crash into the car in front of you.
Vehicle purchased June 2022. I can't keep front brakes on the vehicle. July 4, 2023 Mileage 52154, the front brakes were worn out and replaced with Brake Best brake pads. January 12, 2024 Mileage 76200. Front brake pads worn out and ruined the rotors. Pads replaced with Raybestos pads and Brake Best Rotors. December 2024 Mileage 114261. Front brake pads worn out and are cutting into the front rotos so, I'm about to replace them with the fourth set of brakes since the truck was manufactured.
Driving on the freeway and I was cut off. And failed to work went sliding and had to steer into the emergency lane to avoid a collision
the integrated trailer brake controller does not perform enought to actually engage the trailer brakes on multiple trailers. this should be a recall issue for ram. we have two ram trucks with the same issue.
My 2022 RAM 2500 only has about 10k miles and today when I started the vehicle in my driveway, the ABS and Traction control lights came ON. Did some google searching and found that this is a known issues plaguing RAM trucks since 2018! I'm going to call dealer tomorrow and hopefully this can be diagnosed and fixed promptly. However I'm not confident as I'm still waiting on a different RAM recall which dealer says the parts are only being released to each dealer in quantities of 1 per month. Paying $80k+ for a truck that can't be driven due to known manufacturers issues from 6 yrs ago is unacceptable. I hope NHTSA can help force RAM to address these issues.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving and attempting to park, when the brake pedal was depressed, it became spongy and was inoperable. As a result, the contact crashed into a building and damaged the aluminum siding of the building. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with front left caliber failure and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2300.
The brakes fail to work when applied. When depressing the brake pedal it sticks half way and requires continued pressing and release of the pedal before locking the disc. During the process the vehicle propels forward, creating a safety hazard that could result a serious accident and death. The malfunction occurs at low and high speeds.
The abs and traction control Lights keep coming on making the safety systems unavailable. This has happened 5 times, they clear when stopped but come on again. I am driving in snowy conditions and am in danger. This was scanned By one dealer and they said sometimes the sensor malfunctions and it reset and it was fixed - it kept happening on a cross country trip.
Recall said completed it's not and code is still coming up on reader. So many problems with it. How to find out to get the services I'm paying for.
