TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM PROMASTER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG AND BRAKE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED ON SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE SENSOR BOOSTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CAUSE OF THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATION COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000.
WOBBLE AT AROUND 30MPH. IT IS A ITASCA RV ON A RAM PROMASTER. CHRYSLER & WINNEBAGO HAVE BEEN THROWING US BACK & FORTH SINCE NOV. 2014. EACH OF THEM SAY IT IS THE FAULT OF THE OTHER. *TR
DURING A SIX HOUR DRIVE WITH AVERAGE STOP OF 15 MINUTES EVERY TWO HOURS I EXPERIENCED A MASSIVE HEAD RUSH. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF FAINTING WHILE VEHICLE CRUISE CONTROL WAS SET TO 80MPH, I MANAGED TO RECOVER AND SAFELY PULL ASIDE. WHEN I GOT HOME I RESEARCHED WHAT COULD OF CAUSE THIS. ONLY THING I FOUND WAS BEING UPRIGHT FOR LONG PERIOD COULD CAUSE THIS. THE VEHICLE IS A COMPANY CARGO VAN WITH A WALL RIGHT BEHIND THE FRONT SEATS SEPARATING THE CARGO AREA. DUE TO THIS WALL YOUR FORCE TO SIT UPRIGHT UNABLE TO RECLINE THE SEAT UNLESS YOU MOVE SEAT FORWARD BUT THERE'S VERY LITTLE ROOM. I CAME EXTREMELY CLOSE TO INJURE MYSELF OR OTHERS, AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE'S ANY DATA WHERE SITTING UPRIGHT COULD CAUSE THIS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM PROMASTER 2500 CARGO VAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED SEVERAL ELECTRICAL FAILURES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SWITCH THAT ENGAGED THE FUEL PUMP SYSTEM TO DEACTIVATE IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH (TO KEEP THE CARGO VAN FROM CATCHING ON FIRE) FAILED. THE SWITCH ENGAGED INDEPENDENTLY SEVERAL TIMES, CAUSING THE CARGO VAN TO DEACTIVATE WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH. THE CONTACT ALSO EXPERIENCED A FAILURE WITH THE LOW AND HIGH BEAM SWITCH. WHILE THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO SWITCH FROM LOW TO HIGH BEAM LIGHTING, THE SWITCH ENGAGED THE TURN SIGNAL. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE IN THE REAR BELIEVED THAT THE CONTACT WAS TURNING RIGHT, BUT INSTEAD THE CONTACT WAS MOVING FORWARD. THE VEHICLE IN THE REAR CRASHED INTO THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE AREA OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN NUMEROUS TIMES TO HUNTINGTON JEEP CHRYSLER, DODGE, RAM (120 EAST JERICHO TURNPIKE, HUNTINGTON NY 11743, PHONE (631) 673-0270) FOR THE ELECTRICAL FAILURES; HOWEVER, THE DEALER STATED THAT THE CARGO VAN WAS OPERATING NORMALLY. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE ENGINE AND THE FRONT SUSPENSION FAILED. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING AT A LOW SPEED, A KNOCKING NOISE WAS HEARD AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. IN ADDITION, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SUSPENSION EXHIBITED A LOUD KNOCKING NOISE WHILE TURNING. THE HUNTINGTON DEALER STATED THAT THE ENGINE VALVE ARMS AND THE FRONT SUSPENSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE ENGINE VALVE ARMS AND FRONT SUSPENSION WERE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 500.
I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING LOUD SQUEAKY AND SOMETIMES GRINDING BRAKES SINCE 800 MILES THE VEHICLE NOW HAS 10,000 MILES AND CHRYSLER HAS STILL NOT COME UP WITH A REPAIR. THEY KNOW THEY HAVE A BAD PRODUCT AND CLAIM THE ENGINEERS ARE WORKING ON DESIGNING A NEW BRAKE PAD. THEY OPENED A STAR CASE AND THE DEALER REFUSES TO DOCUMENT IT ANYMORE. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.

HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT AWARE OF THE ISSUE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM PROMASTER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, A LOUD SQUEAKY NOISE EMITTED FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS IN OPERATION. IN ADDITION, WHEN THE ENGINE WAS OPERABLE, A STRONG ODOR OF COOLANT CIRCULATED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS NO COOLANT VISIBLE ON THE GROUND. ON SEPARATE OCCASIONS, THE ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO VIBRATE VIOLENTLY AND MISFIRED. AFTER TURNING THE ENGINE OFF AND THEN RESTARTING, THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,000.

THE PARTS NEEDED TO DO THE REPAIRS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME TO PROVIDE THE PARTS NEEDED FOR THE REPAIRS. NOTICED UNDERBODY SHIELDS MISSING/ NOT INSTALLED. CONCERNED WITH DAMAGE RISK INCLUDING FIRE FROM CONVERTER BEING EXPOSED AND AN INCREASE IN FUEL DUE TO AERODYNAMIC LOSS. THE CENTER AND DRIVERS SIDE UNDERBODY SHIELDS (PLASTIC PANELS, FRONT OF VEHICLE DIRECTLY UNDER ENGINE) WERE NOT INSTALLED ON VEHICLE UPON DELIVERY AND OBSERVED THE ALL NEW PROMASTER VANS ON DEALERS LOT DID NOT HAVE THE SHIELDS DESCRIBED INSTALLED. DEALER COULD NOT GIVE ME AN EXPLANATION WHY THESE PANELS WERE NOT INSTALLED AT THE FACTORY BUT THAT I COULD BUY THEM. CONTACTED RAM REPRESENTATIVE SEVERAL TIMES, BUT THEY HAVE NOT PROVIDED AND EXPLANATION. THESE PANELS ARE LISTED IN THE PARTS LIST AS UNDERBODY SHIELDS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM PROMASTER CARGO VAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V294000(ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) WAS RECEIVED IN AUGUST OF 2014. AFTER CONTACTING THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WERE STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND NO ESTIMATED TIME FOR RECEIVING THE PARTS COULD BE GIVEN. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
I PURCHASED THE PROMASTER ON 7/17, ON 7/20 THE "REAR DOOR OPEN" MESSAGE SHOWED UP ON THE DASH. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND LEFT IT THERE. AS OF TODAY 7/29 IT IS STILL NOT FIXED. ACCORDING TO THE SERVICE MANAGER AT SAFFORD DODGE IN WARRENTON, VA, THE "BCM", BASIC CONTROL MODULE IS THE PROBLEM. DODGE HAS SENT TWO REGIONAL TECHNICIANS TO TRY TO SOLVE THE ISSUE WHICH IS SOFTWARE RELATED. AFTER THE "REAR DOOR OPEN" MESSAGE WAS FIXED AN "ABS" MESSAGE APPEARED ON THE DASH. THAT WAS RESOLVED (SO THEY SAY) AND NOW THE BCM DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THE MIDDLE SEAT OF THE DUAL PASSENGER SEAT CONFIGURATION. THEY HAVE TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES TO REPROGRAM THE BCM BUT IT IS NOT WORKING. *JS
I TOOK THE 2014 DODGE RAM PROMASTER VAN TO LITHIA DODGE IN EUGENE, OREGON TO DO THE RECALL WORK. THEY REFUSED CITING DODGE CORPORATE NOT ALLOWING THEM TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE FOR POSSIBLE DANGEROUS AND DEADLY SITUATIONS RELATED TO THE RECALLS. THERE ARE NOW FOUR RECALLS = ALL OF THEM LIFE THREATENING RECALLS THAT MUST BE PERFORMED ASAP!! I AM NOW TOLD I HAVE TO DRIVE 2 HOURS 15 MINUTES ONE WAY TO GET SERVICE FOR MY VEHICLE. THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME AS I AM ELDERLY AND CANNOT DRIVE THAT FAR. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF DODGE MOTOR COMPANY TO PROVIDE ME WITH RECALL SERVICE FOR MY VEHICLE WITHIN A REASONABLE DISTANCE. I BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW AT 500 MILES THE BRAKES STARTED SQUEEZING, NUMEROUS TRIPS TO DEALER THEY SAY THERE MAY BE A RECALL AND WILL CONTACT ME NEVER HEARD BACK , REPLACE BRAKES AND ROTORS AT 38K MILES , NOW 70K MILES BRAKES AND ROTORS WORN OUT AGAIN, STOPPING EVERY THING ALWAYS SQUEALS EVEN WHEN NEW , 2ND LAY THERE SOME SORT OF SHORT SOME TIMES ALL POWER ON RADIO ETC GOES OFF BY IT SELF THAN COMES BACK ON AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES 3RD I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE BODY RUSTING AT 2500 MILES I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED AND WOULD NOT BY SUCH ANOTHER CHEAP VECHILE NOR WOULD I RECOMMEND ONE TO ANYONE ELSE 4TH THERE SEEMS TO BE SOME TIME OF LEAK IN MY FLUIDS , BRAKES , POWER STEERING , RADIATIOR FLUID NOT SURE WHERE IT'S GOING BUT NOT ON THE GROUND WHEN YOU STAND OUTSIDE VEHICLE YOU CAN SMELL SOMETHING BURNING THIS HAPPENS WHEN VEHICLE IS MOVING AND STATIONARY , THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ON GOING THING WITH NO END IN SITE PLEASE HELP THANK YOU THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE SINCE THE FIRST 500 MILES.

THE DEALER STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE DELAY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE.
FROM THE VERY BEGINNING, I HAVE SMELLED A COOLANT LEAK. THE RADIATOR COOLING FANS HAVE RUN EXCESSIVELY AND INTERMITTENTLY... EVEN AT BELOW ZERO TEMPERATURES.THEY HAVE REPLACED MY RADIATOR TWICE, COOLING FANS AND CONTROL MODULE...MOST RECENTLY THE HEAD GASKET WAS REPLACED AT A COST OF ANOTHER $2400.00 AND I STILL HAVE LEAKAGE ISSUES. THE COOLANT RESERVOIR NEEDS TO BE REFILLED EVERY TIME I GO IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE. I HAVE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT WITH DODGE OF BURNSVILLE, MN ON 12/29/16 TO HOPEFULLY FIND OUT WHERE THE LEAK(S) IS/ARE. THEY HAVE TOLD ME SO MANY DIFFERENT STORIES AS TO WHY I AM SMELLING COOLANT THAT I DON'T REALLY TRUST THAT THEY ARE BEING TRUTHFUL. MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP SO MANY TIMES FOR THIS....AND I HAVE LOST SO MANY DAYS WORK AS A RESULT. I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND I NEED YOUR HELP. THIS VEHICLE WOULD BE CONSIDERED A LEMON UNDER MN LAW, EXCEPT THAT IT IS A CARGO VAN. ADDITIONALLY, MY HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES HAVE BEEN REPLACED...TWICE ON ONE SIDE AND ONCE ON THE LEFT UNDER MY ORIGINAL WARRANTY....AND NOW BOTH HAVE MOISTURE IN THEM AGAIN. I HAVE REPLACED OVER 15 LOW BEAM BULBS IN THE 2 3/4 YEARS THAT I HAVE OWNED IT. I OWN NUMEROUS OTHER VEHICLES WITH OVER 100,000 MILES AND HAVE NEVER REPLACED A BULB. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME? AS SOON AS I TURNED ON THE CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH EVERY WARNING LIGHT ON THE DASH - ABS, SEATBELTS, BATTERY, EPC, AND OTHERS ALL LIT UP AS WELL AS THE CRUISE CONTROL ON LIGHT. I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN TO A DEALER IN GRAND RAPIDS, MI K&M NORTHFIELD DODGE AND THEY ARE UNABLE TO OBTAIN A PART. HOW WILL I KNOW IF THE AIRBAG, SEATBELT AND ABS SYSTEM IS WORKING PROPERLY OR IF IT IS A FALSE ALARM? CHRYSLER CORPORATION HAS PROMISED ME ANSWERS - AND A PART BUT AS OF THIS WRITING I HAVE NEITHER. IN LESS THEN 30 DAYS MINE HAS FAILED 21 TIMES DEALERS SAY NOTHING WRONG/NORMAL TO ALL PROBLEMS MOST THIS HAPPENED BEFORE 1500 MILES ON IT. STARTED FORWARD AFTER A FEW SECONDS. I DID NOTHING LIKE IT WAS IN NEUTRAL 9) BRAKES SQUEAL SO LOUD IT'S RIDICULOUS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE DEALER RECOMMENDED AN ALIGNMENT BE PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER REPLACED THE LEAF SPRINGS WITH HEAVIER LEAF SPRINGS. THE FRONT CHASSIS WAS UNBOLTED AND THE DEALER ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR THE FRONT END. THE MANUFACTURER REPLACED THE ENTIRE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE OCCURRED IN THE NEW VEHICLE AS WELL. THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 0.
