TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 RAM PROMASTER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THIS WAS THE SECOND INSTANCE OF THIS FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO PERFORMANCE CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM COLUMBUS (AUTO MALL DR, COLUMBUS, OH), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 18,000.
FLY WHEEL. 55600 MILES AND THE FLY WHEEL CRACKED , HAD TO REPLACE THE UNIT. NOT SURE HOW IT HAPPENED, NOTICED THE RATTLING OF FLY WHEEL TO IT TO SERVICE AND HAD IT REPLACE
I HAD PROBLEM WITH THE RADIATOR FAN , JUST GET LOCKED UP AND CAR BEGIN TO WARMING UP , I CALL ALL DEALERS TO BUY NEW PART , AND ALL THEY GAVE ME SAME ANSWER , THEY HAVE HUGE AMOUNT OF BACK ORDERS , WILL TAKE 10 DAYS TO ARRIVE , FOR ME PERSONALLY SOUNDS WEIRD HOW MANY CARS HAVE THE SAME TYPE OF PROBLEM ATE SAME TIME . I THINK NEEDS INVESTIGATION FROM YOU GUYS , THANKS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 RAM PROMASTER 3500. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, A HEADLIGHT FAILED TO ILLUMINATE. THE CONTACT CONTINUED TO DRIVE AND, THIRTY MILES LATER, THE OTHER HEADLIGHT ALSO FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HARTVILLE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (900 E BOBO NEWSOM HWY, HARTVILLE, SC 29550) WHERE THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE HEADLIGHT BULBS WERE BLOWN AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE HEADLIGHT BULBS WERE REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS FAILED AT LEAST ONCE PER MONTH. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.
THE DASH LIGHTS ARE NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO EASILY READ THE INFORMATION. IF YOU WEAR SUNGLASSES, YOU MUST REMOVE YOUR SUNGLASSES IN ORDER TO ATTEMPT TO READ THE SPEEDOMETER OR OTHER INFORMATION, BECAUSE IT IS TOO DIM. THE DASH IS DIMLY LIT AND DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH CONTRAST. WHEN IT IS OVERCAST, THE DASH IS BARELY READABLE. WHEN IT IS SUNNY OR BRIGHT OUTSIDE, THE DASH IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE. THIS IS DANGEROUS, BECAUSE IT TAKES THE DRIVER'S EYES OFF OF THE ROAD FOR TOO LONG. HAVING THE DIMMER SWITCH SET TO FULL BRIGHT DOES NOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE. WE HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALER ABOUT THIS ISSUE, AND THEY HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED ON 5/18/17. ATTACHED ARE A PICTURE OF THE DASH WHEN IT IS SUNNY AND A PICTURE WHEN IT IS CLOUDY.

THE CONTACT STATED THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER AND OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE
CAR GET STUCK IN 8TH GEAR. I TRIED TO SHIFT MANUALLY, CAR SHOWS GEAR CHANGE BUT IT IS STILL IN 8TH GEAR. HAVE TO STOP, PUT NEUTRAL AND SHIFT REVERSE THEN THE GEARS GET UNLOCK AND TRANSMISSION STARTS SHIFTING. GOOD FOR 20 MILES, THEN SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. CAR HAS 10550 MILES, BOUGHT IT WITH 6,500.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 RAM PROMASTER CITY. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE SPEEDOMETER WAS NOT ILLUMINATED PROPERLY AND COULD NOT BE READ BY THE CONTACT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,200. ..UPDATED 06/08/17 *BF
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 RAM PROMASTER 3500. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE HEADLIGHTS SUDDENLY SHUT OFF. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEADLIGHT BULBS WERE REPLACED 34 SEPARATE TIMES IN 17 MONTHS DUE TO CONTINUED FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DETERMINED. ALSO, WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. ALSO WHILE DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE PEDAL WOULD GRADUALLY EXTEND TO THE FLOORBOARD AND THE SHIFTER WOULD NOT CHANGE UNTIL THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS RELEASED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 400.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 RAM PROMASTER CITY VAN. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED AND THE SPEED DECREASED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL UNIT FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,500.
THIS IS THE 2ND RECALLED NOTICED I'VE RECEIVED, TOOK A MONTH TO GET THE FIRST RECALL DONE. WAS TOLD TO CALLED BACK ONCE I GET THE 2ND RECALL NOTICE B/C THEY RAN OUT OF THE PART. DID SO BUT THE SERVICE REP DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS RECALL NOTICE. YET AGAIN I AM WAITING FOR THEM TO CALL BACK TO SCHEDULE WHAT I ASSUME A MONTH OUT AGAIN IN ORDER FOR THEM TO HAVE THE PART
VEHICLE OVERHEATING DUE TO COOLING FAN FAILURE AND FAULTY FRONT STRUTS AND THE CV JOINTS

THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16E039000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, EXTERIOR LIGHTING) AND STATED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME FRAME TO SCHEDULE THE RECALL REPAIR. THE SERVICE MANAGER INDICATED THAT THE PART HAD BEEN DISCONTINUED AND WAS NOT INFORMED IF ANOTHER PAS WAS TO BE DESIGNED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND COULD NOT PROVIDE AN ESTIMATED DATE FOR WHEN THE CONTACTS VEHICLE WOULD RECEIVE THE RECALL REPAIR. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
The contact owns a 2016 Ram Promaster. The contact stated that the vehicle headlight bulbs would blow approximately every 6 months. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was diagnosed and repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was informed of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 80.
I RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE S29 / NHTSA 16-E-039. THE RAM DEALERSHIP THAT I TOOK IT TO ON 7/18/16 FOR RECALL REMEDY WAS UNABLE GET TO THE PART DUE TO "AFTERMARKET UPFIT BY WINNEBAGO". I CALLED WINNEBAGO NUMEROUS TIMES AND WAS EVENTUALLY TOLD JUST TODAY THAT MY VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE THE MODULE REFERRED TO IN THE RECALL, THAT THEY NEITHER PURCHASE THE VEHICLE WITH THE MODULE NOR DO THEY INSTALL THE MODULE..SO THE RECALL DOES NOT APPLY TO MY VEHICLE. I CALLED NHTSA TODAY AND A REPRESENTATIVE INDICATED THAT THE DEFECTIVE PART IS ON MY VEHICLE. EITHER WINNEBAGO OR NHTSA IS IN ERROR. IF NHTSA IS IN ERROR, THE RECALL NOTICE SHOULD BE CORRECTED. IF WINNEBAGO IS IN ERROR, THEN THEY AND OR RAM SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEFECT REMEDY.

SPEEDOMETER IS RECESSED INTO DASHBOARD AND NOT VISIBLE IN DAYLIGHT. DASH LIGHTING IS SET AT MAX. DEALER HAS NO SOLUTION.
THROTTLE IS" UNPREDICTABLE" AND SLOW TO RESPOND, WITH A DELAY OR NO RESPONSE AT TIMES. WHEN IN MOTION AND THE WHEEL TURNED, IT HAS LURCHED FORWARD ON IT'S OWN. SITTING AT INTERSECTION WITH WHEEL TURNED AND WAITING FOR TRAFFIC TO CLEAR TO MAKE TURN WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC, THROTTLE WAS PRESSED DOWN AND THEN ALL THE WAY TO FLOOR WITH NO RESPONSE UNTIL REPEATING THE ACTION AND THEN SHOOTING FORWARD UNEXPECTEDLY. 3 TIMES NEARLY INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF UNPREDICTABLE THROTTLE RESPONSE. CAR HAS LESS THAN 500 MILES AND IS ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLED THROTTLE. DEALER THEN REPLACED TRANSMISSION AND WHAT EVER ELSE THEY DID AND THE SITUATION GREATLY IMPROVED BUT STILL SLOW RESPONSE AND UNPREDICTABLE WHEN DRIVING. THIS HAS BEEN A DIRE SAFETY HAZARD WHILE I AM DRIVING AND THE DEALER SAYS NONSENSE WHEN I COMPLAIN. IT IS A PROBLEM WHEN TRYING TO BE SENSITIVE WITH THROTTLE. WHEN MASHING DOWN ON THROTTLE IT DOES NOT WANT TO RESPOND.
