Defect Description

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Maverick vehicles. The moonroof glass may not have been bonded correctly to the moonroof frame, which could result in the glass panel detaching from the vehicle.

Safety Consequence

A detached glass panel may become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will inspect the moonroof glass and replace the glass if necessary, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed March 30, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated in April 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 26S18. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on March 18, 2026.
