MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR IS FAULTY. IT THEN SHUTS DOWN THE ENTIRE AIRBAG SYSTEM. ONCE THE PASSENGER PRESENCE SENSOR FAILS, IT STORES A CODE IN THE SRS MODULE AND LIGHTS UP THE 'SERVICE AIR BAG' LIGHT. THE AIRBAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BECOMES DISABLED ONCE THIS LIGHT IS ILLUMINATED. THIS CAN POSE AN INCREASED RISK OF INJURY TO THE PASSENGER IN AN ACCIDENT. THE SAME PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED IN OTHER CARS WITH THE AIRBAG SENSOR BRAND/TYPE - INCLUDING THE CADILLAC CTS- THESE WERE RECALLED. WHY HAS THE SATURN NOT BEEN RECALLED IF IT IS THE SAME PART? PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE BEFORE PEOPLE GET HURT OR KILLED!
THE PASSENGER PRESENCE MODULE FAILED WITH LESS THAN 45000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG FUNCTION IS DISABLED. THIS IS A HIGH FAILURE RATE ITEM ON THIS VEHICLE AND ITS SISTER VEHICLE THE PONTIAC SOLSTICE. THE VEHICLE IS STORED INDOORS AND WELL MAINTAINED WITHOUT ABUSE. THE PART IS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION UPON REQUEST
AIRBAG SENSOR HAS FAILED FOR SECOND TIME IN TWO YEARS. *TR
THE AIRBAG SENSOR SHUTS OFF. USED TO BE PERIODIC BUT NOW APPEARS TO BE PERMANENTLY OFF. STARTED HAPPENING RIGHT AFTER RECALL REPAIRED ON THE IGNITION SWITCH.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN SKY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER'S SIDE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,000.
DASHBOARD MESSAGE CENTER INDICATING A "SERVICE AIR BAG" MESSAGE WHEN CAR IS STARTED. RECEIVE THE MESSAGE EVERY TIME KEY IS TURNED ON... I UNDERSTAND FROM OTHER OWNERS OF THE SATURN SKY THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE RELATED TO THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT SENSOR. GM WILL NOT COVER THE COST TO REPLACE THE SENSOR, EVEN THOUGH IT IS A PART OF THE VEHICLE SAFETY SYSTEM. THE FAILURE OF THIS COMPONENT SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED A NORMAL "WEAR AND TEAR" COMPONENT AND/OR A PERIODIC MAINTENANCE ISSUE. GM HAS ISSUED RECALLS ON OTHER GM MODELS WITH THE SAME OR SIMILAR ISSUES, SO WHY NOT THE SATURN SKY. IT SEEMS GM NEEDS GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION AND/OR LAWSUITS, BEFORE IT WILL TAKE ACTION. AS A SKY OWNER I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE CONCERNED WHETHER OR NOT MY AIR BAG WILL DEPLOY, DUE TO A DEFECT IN A SAFETY SYSTEM. A CAR OWNER'S EXPECTATION IS THE AIR BAG SYSTEM WILL FUNCTION PROPERLY FOR THE LIFE OF THE VEHICLE, JUST LIKE THE EXPECTATION THE SEAT BELT WILL FUNCTION PROPERLY DURING THE LIFE OF THE VEHICLE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN SKY. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE AIR BAG SENSOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE PASSENGER SEAT SENSOR WAS FAULTY. THE SEAT CUSHION WAS REPLACED AND THE FAILURE WAS REMEDIED. APPROXIMATELY 12,000 MILES LATER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 33,000.
CAR INDICATED THAT THE AIR BAGS WERE NOT FUNCTIONING
FOR NO APPARENT REASON THE SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT ACTIVATED FOR THE PASSENGER SEAT WHILE DRIVING. FOUND THAT THE AIR BAG SENSOR IN THE SEAT HAS A SEPARATION CRACK. NOTHING HEAVY HAS EVER BEEN PLACED ON THE SEAT AND MY ONLY PASSENGER WEIGHS ONLY 97 LBS. I HAVE READ THAT GM HAS RECALLED MANY OF THE PASSENGER SEAT SENSORS JUST NOT FOR THE SKY DUE TO THE SENSORS BREAKING. I WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST THAT THIS ISSUE IS ADDRESSED AS THIS HAPPENED WHILE WE WERE DRIVING AND IF AN ACCIDENT HAD HAPPENED THE PASSENGER AIR BAG WOULD NOT HAVE DEPLOYED. *TR
PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG INDICATOR DOES NOT DETECT PERSON SITTING IN PASSENGER SEAT. MY GUESS IS THAT IT HAS A FAULTY SENSOR.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN SKY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER AN UNKNOWN RECALL REGARDING THE IGNITION, BUT THE REPAIR WAS INSUFFICIENT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY BECAME STUCK IN THE IGNITION. THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PLACE THE VEHICLE IN REVERSE AND WAIT 45 MINUTES TO AN HOUR BEFORE THE KEY COULD BE REMOVED. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE BATTERY WAS DRAINED OF POWER. THE CONTACT PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM BEAU TOWNSEND FORD (102 W NATIONAL ROAD, VANDALIA, OHIO, (937) 898-5841) WHO PERFORMED THE INITIAL RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE RECALL REPAIR WAS COMPLETED PRIOR TO THE CONTACT PURCHASING THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 148,000.
AS SO MANY OTHER SKY AND SOLSTICE OWNERS HAVE EXPERIENCED THE PASSENGER SEAT AIRBAG SENSOR HAS FAILED RENDERING THE RIGHT SIDE AIR BAG INOPERABLE. AFTER SOME RESEARCH THIS IS APPARENTLY A DEFECT GOING BACK TO THE TIME OF MANUFACTURE. VERY LITTLE USE OF MY SEAT HAS MADE MY CAR UNSAFE FOR PASSENGERS OBVIOUSLY FROM A DEFECT. GM HAS BEEN OF NO HELP TO RESOLVE THIS SAFETY ISSUE OTHER THAN A CHARGE OF A $1000.00 TO REPLACE IT. A RECALL IS REQUIRED HERE. THIS IS NO DIFFERENT FROM THE IGNITION KEY ISSUE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN SKY. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V047000 (AIR BAGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); HOWEVER, THE PART NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
2007 SATURN SKY RECENTLY, A LIGHT CAME ON THE DASHBOARD WHICH READ "SERVICE AIR BAG." *MW THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED BY A REPUTABLE AUTO GARAGE SHOP, THE VEHICLE NEEDED A SENSOR WHICH ACTIVATED THE AIR BAG, AT A COST OF $800 PLUS, AND AFTER THE REPAIR WAS COMPLETED, HE WOULD NEED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO BE REPROGRAMMED AT AN ADDITIONAL COST OF APPROXIMATELY $125.00. THE CONSUMER WENT TO THE DEALER, AND WAS INFORMED THE SENSOR WOULD COST $ 1,692.00. THE CONSUMER DECLINED THE REPAIRS. THE CONSUMER WENT ONLINE AND DISCOVERED, THE 2009 MODEL WAS RECALLED FOR THE SAME ISSUE. *JB
MY EMERGENCY BRAKE IS NOT WORKING. THE BRAKE PADS AND BRAKE SHOES ARE FINE. ALSO CHECKED THE BRAKE CABLE AND IT IS FINE. *TR
MY PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON. WHEN I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, I WAS TOLD REPAIRS WERE GOING TO BE CLOSE TO $1,000.00! WHILE SEARCHING FOR INFORMATION ON THIS, I DISCOVERED HUNDREDS OF SATURN SKY AND PONTIAC SOLSTICE OWNERS HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. IF THIS IS A DEFECTIVE PIECE, THAT INVOLVES PASSENGER SAFETY AND LIVES, THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED ASAP. THANK YOU. *TR
WAS JUST DRIVING ALONG WITH MY WIFE AND HIT A SMALL BUMP IN THE ROAD AND RIGHT AFTER, NOTICED THAT MY SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON THE DASH.
2007 SATURN SKY. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO RECALLED IGNITION SWITCH AND IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER, REPLACEMENT PARTS BEING UNAVAILABLE. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED FOUR MONTHS, WAS AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF TIME TO WAIT. *JB
DRIVING 35 MILES AN HOUR I NOTICED PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT APPEARED ON DASH, WHEN I TOOK CAR TO GM DEALER THEY SAID IT WOULD COST 900 DOLLARS TO REPLACE. *TR
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
WHEN TAKING MY CAR IN FOR IGNITION RECALL REPAIRS I NOTICED THAT MY AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON. GM CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLD ME THAT WHEN THE NEW IGNITION SWITCH WAS INSTALLED THE ERROR WOULD CLEAR ITSELF. IT DID NOT, AND WHEN I BROUGHT THIS TO THE GM DEALERSHIP SERVICE DESK THEY DENIED THAT THERE WAS ANY LINKAGE BETWEEN THE AIRBAG OPERATION AND THE IGNITION SWITCH DESPITE THE DESCRIPTION IN THEIR OWN RECALL NOTICE WARNING THAT THE AIRBAG MIGHT NOT INFLATE IF THE ORIGINAL SWITCH WAS FAULTY. GM IS ATTEMPTING TO AVOID THE COST OF A NEW AIRBAG MADE INEFFECTIVE BY THEIR OWN FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH. I WENT TO THE GM DEALER TO HAVE MY CAR MADE SAFE AND WAS DIRECTED TO LEAVE THE DEALERSHIP WITH AN UNSAFE CAR, WITHOUT A WORKING AIRBAG. THIS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BY THE NHTSA AND MAKE GM INSURE THAT ALL SAFETY SYSTEMS ARE WORKING PROPERLY AFTER RECALL REPAIRS ARE COMPLETED! *TR
PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON DUE TO A FAULTY SENSOR MODULE. WILL NOT PASS VIRGINIA INSPECTION. NEEDS TO BE RECALLED BECAUSE IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. OWNERS OF THIS CAR SHOULD NOT HAVE TO GO OUT AND PAY UPWARDS TO $1000.00 TO HAVE THIS FIXED. *TR
DRIVING AND THE SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK MY VEHICLE TO A GM DEALERSHIP FOR THE IGNITION SWITCH RECALL AND ASKED THEM TO DIAGNOSE IT. THEY CAME BACK AND TOLD ME THAT IT WAS CRUCIAL TO GET IT FIXED AND IF I EVER WAS IN AN ACCIDENT THE AIR BAG WOULD NOT DEPLOY. QUOTED ME $850 TO GET IT FIXED! TOLD THEM I COULDN'T AFFORD TO FIX IT RIGHT NOW. ITS BEEN 3 MONTHS AND I HAVE A 7 YEAR OLD. I USE MY HUSBANDS TRUCK TO TAKE MY SON TO SCHOOL. I WONT LET ANYONE SIT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT IN FEAR OF CRASHING WITH NO AIRBAG. NOT GOOD GM. PLEASE RECALL THIS SO NO ONE GETS HURT! FAILURE OF THE PASSENGER PRESENCE SENSOR FOR THE SATURN SKY AIRBAG. VERY COMMON FOR THIS MODEL VEHICLE (SATURN SKY AND PONTIAC SOLSTICE). DESIGN / ENGINEERING / MANUFACTURING ERROR. FAILURE OF THIS SENSOR MEANS THAT THE AIRBAG WILL NOT DEPLOY FOR A PASSENGER IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT. SEVERE SAFETY ISSUE BUT GM WILL NOT REPLACE WITH RATIONALIZATION THAT VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY. *TR
PASSENGER PRESENCE SYSTEM (PPS) SENSOR FAILED
MY AIRBAG SENSOR QUIT WORKING. AT THIS LOW MILEAGE THERE SHOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE. NOW MY CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND I'M FORCED TO PAY TO HAVE IT FIXED OUT OF POCKET. FROM MY RESEARCH THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE. I ENCOURAGE THE NHTSA TO INVESTIGATE THE ISSUE AND HAVE GM RECALL VEHICLES WITH A SIMILAR ISSUE. IT IS FOR THE SAFETY OF THE PUBLIC. *TR
THE AIRBAG DETECTION SYSTEM, WHICH ARE HOUSED IN SEAT SENSORS IN THE PASSENGER FRONT SEAT HAVE FAILED
CAR STATES AIR BAG PASSENGER NOT WORKING. NO ONE WILL HELP
AT TIMES THE PASSENGER AIR BAG INDICATOR SHOWS OFF WHEN A PASSENGER IS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR YEARS. MOST OF THE TIME THE INDICATOR IS ON WHEN A PASSENGER IS IN THE CAR AND WHEN THE INDICATOR IS OFF I HAVE TRIED TO DRIVE TO THE NEAREST SATURN DEALER BUT THE INDICATOR THEN SHOWS ON WHEN I GET TO THE DEALER(WHICH WAS 50 MILES AWAY). FINALLY WHEN THE RECENT GM IGNITION SWITCH RECALL DIRECTED ME TO A CLOSER GM DEALER I BROUGHT MY CAR IN AND TOLD THEM ABOUT THE AIR BAG ISSUE. FOR TWO DAYS THEY COULD NOT GET THE AIR BAG INDICATOR TO SHOW OFF WITH A PASSENGER IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, HOWEVER ON THE THIRD DAY THE INDICATOR SHOWED OFF. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS THE AIR BAG SENSOR IN THE SEAT. TO REPLACE THE PART($500.00) AND LABOR COST IT WOULD COST ME $800.00. THEY TOLD ME OTHER OWNERS HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM. SINCE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE, I FEEL THIS SHOULD ALSO BE A RECALL ITEM. *TR
AIR BAG SEAT SENSOR FAILURE WILL NOT PASS SAFETY INSPECTION IN MY STATE. VA.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN SKY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH AND APPLYING THE BRAKES, THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING AND CAUSED THE DRIVER TO CRASH INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE BACK. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V171000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) WAS RECEIVED MARCH 2012 HOWEVER, THE DEALER HAD ADVISED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE AND PLACED THE CONTACT ON A WAITING LIST. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 70,000. UPDATED 08/14/2014*LJ
WAS ON INTERSTATE 97 IN MARYLAND DOING AROUND 65 MPH. WHEN I HEARD AND FELT LOUD POP NOISE FROM THE REAR OF THE 2007 SATURN SKY AND PULLED ONTO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY WHILE THE CARS ON THE ROAD WERE FLYING BY ME AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED ( THAT I WAS SCARED TO GET OUT OF THE CAR ) DID GET THE CAR HOME AND CONTACTED SATURN ( WHAT A WASTE OF TIME ) TO TRY AND GET SOME TYPE OF HELP ON THE REPAIR. TOOK CAR TO THE LOCAL DEALER JBA CHEVROLET AND WAS TOLD THAT THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL HAD BLOWN OUT AND THE REPAIR COULD BE BETWEEN $2800-$3500. I HAVE SEEN ON THE WEB SITES THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS TYPE OF REAR IN SATURN AND OTHER GM CARS. I'M LUCKY THAT THE REAR DID NOT LOCK UP THIS COULD OF BEEN A BIG PROBLEM. PLEASE PASS THIS ON. *TR
I JUST BOUGHT THIS SATURN AND THE NEXT WEEK THE PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON. I HAVE DONE RESEARCH A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH THIS ISSUE HAVE COMPLAINED AND IT IS EXPENSIVE TO REPAIR. THERE ARE NUMEROUS REPORTS OF PEOPLE WITH THE PASSENGER AIRBAG AND SAYING IT SHOULD BE RECALLED. I AGREE BECAUSE THERE WAS NO REASON FOR IT TO NEED SERVICED YET. *TR
UPON ENTERING THE VEHICLE ON FRIDAY, MAY 16TH, 2014 I NOTICED THE SERVICE AIRBAG SOON LIGHT AND NOTIFICATION WERE DISPLAYED ON THE DIC. AFTER STARTUP AND VEHICLE SYSTEM CHECK THE LIGHTS REMAINED ON AND WILL NOT GO OUT. *JS
MY VEHICLE'S AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND I HAD IT INSPECTED BY KEYES CHEVROLET, A REGISTERED SATURN SERVICER. HE INFORMED ME THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG MODULE WAS FAULTY AND IT WOULD BE ABOUT 900-1000 DOLLARS TO FIX IT. THEY DIDN'T PRINT ME THE ESTIMATE OR THE PART NUMBER. I WENT TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO SAID THE PART WAS INDEED AROUND 500 DOLLARS, BUT THE AIRBAG SENSOR SHOULD NOT BE FAULTY AFTER ONLY 62,000 MILES. MY EXTENDED SERVICE PLAN THROUGH FORD REFUSES TO COVER THIS EXTREME SAFETY HAZARD. IF ANYTHING EVER HAPPENED TO ME OR MY PASSENGER DUE TO THIS ISSUE I WOULD ABSOLUTELY FILE A LAWSUIT. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY NEARLY A THOUSAND DOLLARS TO FIX ESPECIALLY SINCE I AM GOING THROUGH A RECALL RIGHT NOW WITH THE IGNITION- AND THEY STILL DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS IN, MAY CAR COULD SLIP INTO DRIVE OR REVERSE WHILE IN PARK AND THEY SAID IT WOULD TAKE 2 MONTHS TO GET THE RECALL PARTS IN? THIS IS ALL TERRIFYING AND UNACCEPTABLE. *TR
I RECEIVED NOTICE THAT MY VEHICLE HAD BEEN RECALLED AND CONTACTED MY DEALER "AIRPORT CHEVROLET" IN MEDFORD OREGON FOR AN APPOINTMENT TO GET IT REPAIRED. IT HAS NOW BEEN ABOUT TWO MONTHS AND THE DEALER IS STILL CLAIMING THAT THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE NECESSARY PARTS. I HAVE HAD 2 SATURN SKY'S, BOTH HAVE RANDOMLY DISABLED THEIR AIRBAGS WHILE DRIVING DUE TO A FAULTY SENSOR IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. WHEN I WENT ONLINE I FOUND THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND EVEN READ NEWS BROADCASTS ABOUT THIS SPECIFIC SENSOR FAILING. THE FOLLOWING WEBSITE IS ONE OF THOSE STORIES. 2007 SATURN SKY 25000 MILES I JUST TOOK MY SKY INTO THE DEALER FOR THE IGNITION RECALL, AND WHILE THERE I HAD THEM RUN DIAGNOSTIC TEST ON MY AIRBAG SYSTEM AT THE COST OF 113 DOLLARS. IT HAD CODE B0081 ( PASSENGER PRESENT MODULE FAILURE). THIS I EXPECTED FROM READING ALL THE OTHER COMPLAINTS THAT HAVE BEEN FILED. I HAVE READ COMPLAINTS ON OTHER SATURN FORUMS, WHERE SOME PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM REPAIRED AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE (1000 DOLLARS), JUST TO HAVE IT RETURN IN LESS THAN A YEAR. I DON?T THINK THE PUBLIC SHOULD HAVE TO PAY SUCH AN EXPENSE FOR A SAFETY PROBLEM THAT SHOULD BE HANDLED AS A SAFETY RECALL. THERE HAS BEEN SEVERAL COMPLAINTS FILED ON THIS SAME PROBLEM. *TR
AIR BAG PASSENGER SENSOR STOPPED WORKING UNEXPECTEDLY. I HAD THE MODULE REPLACED BY A GM DEALERSHIP AND HAD TO PAY COMPLETE COST. ONE YEAR LATER THE NEW MODULE BROKE ONCE AGAIN AND THE AIRBAG SENSOR IS NOT WORKING MEANING THAT IF A PERSON IS IN THE SEAT THE AIRBAG WILL NOT DEPLOY IF AN ACCIDENT WAS TO HAPPEN AND WILL MOST LIKELY INCREASE THE CHANCES OF A DEATH BECAUSE OF FAULTY PARTS BY GM. *TR
ALTHOUGH I RARELY HAVE PASSENGERS, FOR SOME ODD REASON, MY PASSENGER AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT RANDOMLY WENT ON. AFTER SEARCHING THE INTERNET FOR CAUSES/SOLUTIONS, I SEE THAT THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE FOR THESE TYPES OF CARS. THERE'S EVEN A MOVEMENT WITH SKY AND SOLSTICE OWNERS WHO HAVE THIS ISSUE TO COM HERE AND FILE THIS FORM (WHICH IS HOW I FOUND IT). THIS ISSUE WOULDN'T BE SO INTOLERABLE, IF THE SOLUTION WASN'T SO EXPENSIVE (OVER $1000 FOR A SENSOR/MODULE REPAIR - $356.43 FOR PARTS AND A WHOPPING $647.50 IN LABOR).
