I NOTICED THAT MY AIR BAGS WERE FLIPPING ON AND OFF, AND THAT WHEN I HIT THE SEAT WARMER THE AIR BAGS FLIP BACK TO ON. I TOOK MY CAR TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THE HEATER IN THE SEAT WAS CAUSING THIS PROBLEM. THIS IS NOT SAFE AT ALL.
IT WAS RAINING ON MARCH 22ND AND I WAS DRIVING WITH MY FRONT WIPERS GOING AND MY PASSENGER SIDE WIPER JUST STOPPED WORKING!!!! I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY IT HAPPENED AND HOW IT COULD HAPPEN BUT I'M LOOKING AT AN EXPENSIVE FIX. *TR
PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG SENSOR FAILED; POSSIBLY CAUSING AIR BAGS TO INFLATE WHILE CAR IN MOTION OR NO INFLATION IF IN ACCIDENT. MULTIPLE REPORTS POSTED ON BLOG WITH EXACTLY SAME SATURNS. COST TO FIX PROBLEM CENTERS AROUND $1050.00 WITH MINE COMING IN AT $1040.24. LOCAL GM REPAIR CENTER MANAGER AWARE OF ISSUE & HIGHLY SUGGESTED I ADVISE NHTSA AS THIS IS CONSIDERED A SAFETY ISSUE! AIR BAG INDICATOR LIGHT FOR PASSENGER SEAT COMES ON AND OFF INTERMITTENTLY. DEALER SAYS THE FIRST THING THAT HAS TO BE FIXED IS THE SEAT HEATER ELEMENT IN PASSENGER SEAT BECAUSE IT SETS A CODE FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. THAT IS A COST OF $300 PLUS AND DOES NOT EVEN FIX ANY POSSIBLE ISSUE WITH THE AIRBAG. DON'T KNOW IF THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE AIRBAG FOR SURE UNTIL SEAT ELEMENT REPAIRED. *TR
MY REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR WON'T CLOSE WHEN IT'S COLD AND AS OF JUNE 2013, WON'T OPEN. THE LATCH MECHANISM HAS SEIZED. I CAN HEAR THE DOOR UNLOCK AND LOCK BUT NOTHING HAPPENS. I'VE HAD A TODDLER IN THE CAR WHEN IT WON'T CLOSE AND A TODDLER AND AN INFANT WHEN IT WON'T OPEN. MY RESEARCH ONLINE SHOWS THAT THIS IS A FREQUENT PROBLEM. THERE REALLY NEEDS TO BE A RECALL. GM SHOULD HAVE TO PAY THE $250 TO FIX THE DOOR. THEY ARE PUTTING MY CHILDREN IN DANGER. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 SATURN VUE. THE CONTACT TURNED THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND A FIRE IGNITED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FLAMES. IN ADDITION, THE HEADLIGHTS BECAME DIM AND THE DOORS ON THE VEHICLE WERE UNABLE TO BE LOCKED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 79,200.
2006 SATURN VUE PASSENGER AIRBAG SENSOR INDICATES OFF INTERMITTENTLY WHEN ADULT IS SEATED. ALSO, THE PASSENGER HEATED SEAT INOPERABLE. AIRBAG INDICATOR ON MAIN DASH ILLUMINATED WHEN PASSENGER LIGHT IS OFF OR DURING ABSENCE OF PASSENGER. DIAGNOSIS CODE OF B0092 PRESENTED AND DEALER RECOMMENDS REPLACEMENT OF AIRBAG SENSOR AND SEAT CUSHION. *TR
2006 SATURN VUE. FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG INDICATOR LIGHT WILL NOT COME ON EVEN WITH A HEAVY PERSON. I WAS INFORMED IT WAS THE SEAT WARMER. BAD DESIGN! WILL COST $900.00 TO FIX. *TR
I HAVE A 2006 SATURN VUE AND I HAVE SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR. WHEN I HAD A CAR WRECK EITHER OF THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY BUT THE LIGHTS STAY ON. I HAD TO PAY 596.00 TO REPLACE MY KEY IGNITION AND SOMETIMES IT STILL STICKS. MY DRIVER DOOR WILL NOT OPEN AND ONE OF THE SEAT BELTS IN THE REAR HAS NOT WORKED PROPERLY. I SEE THAT THEY ARE RECALLING OTHER SATURNS BUT NOT MINES. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 SATURN VUE. TL THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 65 MPH AND NOTICED THAT THE AIR BAG ALERT SIGNAL WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG LIGHT FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG WOULD NOT ILLUMINATE, INDICATING THAT THE AIR BAG WAS TURNED OFF. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHERE UNKNOWN REPAIRS WERE MADE TO THE VEHICLE. AFTER THE REPAIRS, THE FAILURE RECURRED ONCE THE SEAT HEATER WAS ACTIVATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT SHE WOULD NEED TO RETURN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,500.
I HAVE AN '06 VUE. BOTH OF THE BACK DOORS WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OR THE OUTSIDE. THE FACTORY WAS NO HELP. I AM IN THE SHREVEPORT AREA AND WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT THEY WOULD NOT HELP ME. THEY WERE NOT EVEN SURE IF THEY COULD FIX THE PROBLEM. RECALL NEEDS TO BE DONE. HAD TO TAKE MY VEHICLE TO A BODY SHOP TO HAVE IT SERVICED. *TR
GEAR SHIFT CABLE DETACHED FROM THE SHIFTER, A PIECE OF PLASTIC BROKE. *TR
VEHICLE: 2006 SATURN VUE MANUAL TRANSMISSION. TWICE IN THE LAST 4 MONTHS THE MANUAL TRANSMISSION HAS FAILED CATASTROPHICALLY WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. IN BOTH INSTANCES THE SHIFTER SEPARATED FROM THE TRANSMISSION AND THE VEHICLE WAS STUCK IN GEAR. THE SECOND OCCURRENCE WAS ON AN I-95. THE SATURN DEALERSHIP REPLACED AND END CLIP THE FIRST TIME AND THE SHIFTER CABLE THE SECOND TIME. THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT THE OCCURRENCES ARE UNRELATED - DIFFERENT PARTS AND BALKING AT FIXING THE DEFECT WITHOUT ME PAYING FOR IT. I HAVE FOUND SEVERAL INTERNET SITES IN WHICH PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING OF THIS SAME FAILURE OVER SEVERAL MODEL YEARS IN THE SATURN VUE. I WAS LUCKY THAT I DID NOT GET IN AN ACCIDENT WITH THIS FAILURE - ESPECIALLY THE SECOND TIME ON I-95. *TR
N 2006 SATURN VUE, THE REAR SEAT IS A 2/3 SPLIT BENCH UPON LOWERING THE SEATBACK DOWN, THE MIDDLE SEATBELT BECAME "LOCKED" IN THE LOWERED POSITION. THE DEALER TOLD ME THE ONLY REMEDY WAS TO CUT THE SEATBELT. THEY THEN TOLD ME IT WOULD BE 300 DOLLARS TO REPLACE IT!INTERIOR PARTS). I BELIEVE IT IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT, AND SHOULD BE REPLACED AT GM'S 'S EXPENSE. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING I COULD HAVE DONE TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING. I WAS USING THE AUTOMOBILE FEATURES AS THEY ARE INTENDED TO BE USED. I SEE MANY MANY COMPLAINTS OF THE SAME DESCRIPTION ON THE INTERNET! *TR
1) LEADING EVENTS - PURCHASED THE CAR IN 2009 USED FROM A CERTIFIED DEALER, WAS PROVIDED WITH 2 SEPARATE SETS OF KEYS. WITHIN THE FIRST 6 MONTHS OF DRIVING I NOTICED INCREASED DIFFICULTY IN STARTING THE CAR WITH THE KEYS PROVIDED. ALERTED DEALER AND WAS GIVEN ANOTHER SET OF KEYS. 2) FAILURE - KEY TO IGNITION FREQUENTLY STICKS AND STAYS IN THE IGNITION WHILE CAR IS RUNNING. ALSO HAVE IDENTIFIED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL FREQUENTLY LOCKS WHICH MAKES IT EVEN MORE DIFFICULT TO START THE IGNITION. 3) INITIALLY I WAS GIVEN A REPLACEMENT KEY FROM THE DEALER THAT WORKED ON AND OFF. THE CAR WILL BE TURNED IN FOR SERVICE THIS WEEKEND TO DETERMINE WHAT THE DEFECT IS IF ANY ON THE CAR. ESTIMATED COST $250-$500. *TR
2006 SATURN VIEW, LIGHT FOR DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG ON NEARLY 100% OF TIME. PREVIOUSLY ONLY NOTED ISSUE DURING WET CONDITIONS BUT NOW IS PERMANENT PROBLEM. ALSO HAVE NOTED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG LIGHT WILL BLINK FROM ON TO OFF WITH OR WITHOUT A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT. *TR
PASSENGER AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT ON EPISODICALLY. TAKEN TO GM SERVICE CENTER, 1 JUNE 2010. TO DATE, 2 JULY 2010, THE PART HAS NOT ARRIVED AND WAS TOLD I COULD DRIVE THE CAR BUT WITHOUT A PASSENGER UNTIL THE PART COMES IN. *TR
IGNITION SWITCH IS DIFFICULT TO OPERATE, ADDED GRAPHITE LUBRICANT BUT ONLY PARTIAL RELIEF. OTHER MODELS OF SAME YEAR HAVING SAME PROBLEMS. GM SHOULD RECALL AND REPLACE SWITCH. *TR
THE KEY WILL NOT TURN IN THE IGNITION TO START THE ENGINE AND/OR TO STOP THE ENGINE. I WAS TOLD THAT THE KEY WAS WORN OUT AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED BUT THIS DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THIS HAS OCCURRED ON A DAILY BASIS SOMETIMES NOT ALLOWING THE VEHICLE TO BE TURNED OFF AND AT OTHER TIMES NOT ALLOWING THE VEHICLE TO START UP. IF THE VEHICLE STALLS ON A BUSY HIGHWAY AND CANNOT BE STARTED, THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN AS WELL AS IF THE VEHICLE CANNOT BE SHUT DOWN IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT OR FIRE.
I PURCHASED MY TIRES ON 3-14-10. THERE IS SUCH EXCESSIVE ROAD NOISE THAT WITHIN 30 MINUTES OF A TRIP YOU WILL HAVE A SPLITTING HEAD ACHE. MY PURCHASE OF TIRES, ROAD HAZARD WARRANTY HIGH PER AND 3YR WHELEL ALIGNMENT WAS 627.45. I HAVE GONE TO HAVE TIRES ROTATED BALANCED AND ALIGNMENT REGULARLY. IT IS A BIG INCONVEIENCE TO DRIVE MY VUE BECAUSE OF THE NOISE. THIS IS TO MUCH. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO UNHAPPY AND DISSATISFIED WITH THE PURCHASE OF TIRES I HAVE MADE LIKE I AM WITH THESE YOKOHAMA TIRES SIZE 225/65R17 102 , 31920. I HAVE NOTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT YOKOHAMA TIRES AT THIS POINT. I CAN'T GET ANY SATISFACTION ON THEM. YOU WOULD THINK THAT NEW TIRES WOULDN'T PICK UP PUNCTURES SO EASY EITHER BUT THEY DO. I HATE MY PURCHASE AND I WILL NOT ADVISE ANYONE TO BUY A YOKOHAMA TIRE OF ANY KIND. IT CAN'T BE THAT THE TIRES ARE WORN BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT WORN. I HAVEN'T EVEN PUT 20,000 MILES ON THE TIRES YET. I EVEN WENT AS FAR TO SEE IF THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY WHEELS. BEARING.. SEALS.. AND ALL AND NOTHING IS WRONG THERE. I HAVE HAD NO SATISFACTION FROM ANYONE ON THESE TIRES. NOW I FOUND THIS SITE. LET'S SEE WHAT KIND OF RESPONSE I GET HERE. *TT

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAGS WOULD NOT DEPLOY DUE TO A MALFUNCTION IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT HEATING MECHANISM. THERE WERE NO PRIOR WARNINGS. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 49000. UPDATED 4/13/10 *CN THE AIR BAG LIGHT WOULD ALSO ILLUMINATE WHEN SOMEONE SAT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 SATURN VUE. WHILE DRIVING INTO A PARKING SPACE, IN REVERSE OR TRAVELING AT VERY LOW SPEEDS OF LESS THAN 20 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD BECOME EXTREMELY HARD AND TIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE TO THE VEHICLE AND THERE WERE NO RECALLS PERTAINING TO THE FAILURE. I WOULD LIKE TO REGISTER A COMPLAINT ABOUT THE 2006 SATURN VUE. THE CARRIER BEARING IS DEFECTIVE ON MANY OF THESE VEHICLES, ENOUGH SO THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAS REFORMULATED THE PART. THIS HAZARD OCCURS IN MANY VEHICLES WITH VERY LOW MILEAGE. THIS IS A POTENTIAL SAFETY PROBLEM AND SHOULD BE RECALLED, BUT AS OF YET, HAS NOT BEEN BY SATURN. THE AVAILABILITY OF THIS PART IS NON-EXISTENT AT THIS POINT. PLEASE ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM BEFORE ANYONE IS INJURED BY THIS DEFECT. THANK YOU *TR

PURCHASED 4 NEW TIRES. ALL 4 TIRES SAME BRAND, TYPE,SIZE AND DOT NUMBER: COOPER DISCOVERER H/T, M+S. *TR FIRST NEW TIRE BLEW OFF RIM AFTER 4 MILES; BROKE HUB CAP; BEAD FAILURE. SECOND TIRE BLEW OFF RIM AFTER 400 MILES; BROKE HUB CAP; BEAD FAILURE. THIRD TIRE FOUND DEFECTIVE ON INSPECTION; BEAD FAILURE. STATUS OF FOURTH TIRE (REMOVED BY RETAILER SIMULTANEOUS TO FIRST FAILURE - STATUS UNKNOWN. FORTUNATELY, BOTH FAILURES OCCURRED SUDDENLY AND EXPLOSIVELY WHILE VEHICLE WAS STANDING STILL! PICTURES AVAILABLE. ALL TIRES REPLACED WITH ANOTHER BRAND.
I WAS UNABLE TO OPEN MY DRIVERS SIDE DOOR FROM BOTH THE OUTSIDE AND THE FROM INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. I CALLED THE DEALER IN MY CITY, THEY WERE ABLE TO REPLACE THE DOOR LATCH. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE SATURN VUE, SO I WAS SURPRISED THAT I WAS CHARGED FOR THE REPLACEMENT. *TR
REAR DOORS FAIL TO LATCH. HAPPENED TO BOTH REAR DOORS ON SEPARATE OCCASIONS, BOTH TIMES WITH CHILDREN IN THE BACKSEAT. *TR
THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AIRBAG IS DISABLED AT APPROX. 160 LBS. OTHERWISE THE SYSTEM APPEARS TO WORK CORRECTLY. OVER TIME, EITHER THE SENSOR OR THE SEAT STRUCTURE HAS CHANGED AND NOW LEAVES THE PASSENGER AT RISK EVEN THOUGH THE PASSENGER IS CLEARLY AN ADULT! THE AUTO IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THE DEALER REQUIRES PAYMENT EVEN THOUGH THIS IS A CRITICAL SAFETY PROBLEM. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 SATURN VUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR LOCK FAILED, WHICH CAUSED THE DOOR TO OPEN WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THERE WAS A DEFECT IN THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE DOOR LATCH. THE CONTACT BELIEVES A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 65,000.
2006 SATURN VUE IGNITION SWITCH TURNS EXTREMELY HARD MOST OF THE RIME WHEN TRYING TO START THE CAR. I CAN ALSO REMOVE THE IGNITION KEY WHEN THE KEY IS NOT IN THE 'OFF' POSITION. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THE REASON IT TURNS SO HARD IS BECAUSE IT'S A SAFETY MECHANISM. I HAVE TO ROCK THE KEY BACK AND FORTH FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES, SOMETIMES. OTHER TIMES, I ONLY HAVE TO ROCK IT ONCE OR TWICE. I CAN FEEL IT 'CATCHING' AND NOT WANTING TO MOVE PAST THE OFF POSITION. BEING ABLE TO REMOVE THE KEY WITHOUT IT BEING IN THE 'OFF' POSITION IS A SAFETY ISSUE. THE KEY HAS ALWAYS TURNED HARD SINE I PURCHASED THE CAR IN 2009. IT HAS GOTTEN MUCH WORSE IN THE LAST SIX MONTHS. THIS HAPPENS WHETHER I AM PARKED ON A CITY STREET, OR ANY OTHER PLACE INCLUDING INCLINES AND DECLINES, MY DRIVEWAY, ETC. THE IGNITION IS IN THE OFF POSITION AND I AM TRYING TO START IT WHEN IT TURNS EXTREMELY HARD.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 SATURN VUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUSES THAT REGULATE THE TAIL LIGHTS AND INSTRUMENT PANEL CONSTANTLY BLOW OUT. THE FAILURE HAS OCCURRED FIVE TIMES. HE HAS NOT TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 25,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 SATURN VUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSIDE DOOR HANDLES ON THE REAR PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE BECAME INOPERABLE AND PREVENT THE DOORS FROM LATCHING AND CLOSING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE DOOR LATCH ON THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE WAS REPLACED AT THE OWNERS EXPENSE. THE REAR DRIVER SIDE HANDLE WAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. GENERAL MOTORS WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT SOMEONE WOULD CALL RETURN HER CALL. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 70,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
THE 2006 SATURN VUE HAD AN EXHAUST BOLT BROKE WHEN TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP AT SCOTTSDALE SATURN. THE BOLT WAS CONNECTED TO THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD UP BY THE ENGINE. THEY SAID IT MUST HAVE BROKE OFF BUT I DIDN'T BELIEVE THEM. SO IT WOULD HAVE COST TO MUCH AT THE DEALERSHIP AND TOOK IT SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GET IT FIXED, BUT STILL THINK SATURN SHOULD HAVE FIXED IT FOR FREE. I THINK IT SHOULD BE A RECALL BECAUSE THEY SATURN SAID THE BOLT WAS SO HOT THAT IT BROKE OFF. ALSO THE IGNITION SWITCH STARTED GIVING ME PROBLEMS NOW AND THE KEYS ARE OK, IT'S THE IGNITION SWITCH AND THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THAT TO. WHEN AN ADULT IS SEATED ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE, THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR FLICKER ON AND OFF. I HAVE RECEIVED AN ONSTAR DIAGNOSTIC INDICATING AN AIR BAG FAILURE. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THERE IS ANYONE IN THE SEAT, THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHTS CONTINUE TO COME ON AND OFF. THIS OCCURS EVERY TIME VEHICLE IS OPERATED. I HAVE TAKEN THIS VEHICLE TO SATURN DEALERSHIP WHERE PURCHASED AND THEY CHARGED ME $190 TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM AND QUOTED AN ADDITIONAL $1200 TO FIX. SINCE THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN WIDELY REPORTED ON VARIOUS WEBSITES, I BELIEVE IT IS A RECALL ISSUE AND SATURN SHOULD PAY FOR REPAIRS. *TR
IN 2006 SATURN VUE, THE REAR SEAT IS A 2/3 SPLIT BENCH (THE REAR PASSENGER- AND MIDDLE-SEATBACK FOLD DOWN TOGETHER TO ACCOMMODATE FOR LARGE OBJECTS). UPON LOWERING THE SEATBACK, THE MIDDLE SEATBELT BECAME "LOCKED" IN THE LOWERED POSITION. THE DEALER TOLD ME THE ONLY REMEDY WAS TO CUT THE SEATBELT. THEY THEN TOLD ME THEY WOULD NOT PAY FOR THE SEATBELT TO BE REPLACED (WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED ON INTERIOR PARTS). I BELIEVE IT IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT, AND SHOULD BE REPLACED AT SATURN'S EXPENSE. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING I COULD HAVE DONE TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING. I WAS USING THE AUTOMOBILE FEATURES AS THEY ARE INTENDED TO BE USED. *TR
HAD VEHICLE LESS THAN THREE YEARS. DRIVER'S SEATBELT CLIP HAS A PLASTIC PIECE THAT BREAKS OFF INSIDE THE HOUSING OF THE FLOOR HARNESS. TOOK TO DEALER; TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO OUTSIDE OF REPLACING--@OVER $300. WHEN ASKED ABOUT REPLACING THE MIDDLE SEAT HARNESS, WAS TOLD IT WAS ANOTHER SIZE ... REALLY? ISN'T THERE A LAW FOR SEATBELTS AND ATTENDANT SAFETY. WE ARE RUNNING BELT THROUGH PASSENGER LOOP WHEN DOUBLE FRONT OCCUPANCY. *TR
AIRBAG SYSTEM SENSORS FOR 2006 SATURN VUE ARE FAILING. A LIGHT IS INDICATING THAT AIRBAGS WILL NOT INFLATE IN THE EVENT OF A COLLISION. THIS OCCURRED JUST AFTER MY 60,000 MILE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. I WAS TOLD THIS WOULD NOT BE COVERED BY SATURN AS A WARRANTY ITEM. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE COVERED AND REPLACED BY GENERAL MOTORS. THE VUE CURRENTLY HAS 88,000 MILES. THE IGNITION SWITCH WILL NOT TURN WITH THE FACTORY KEY TO START THE IGNITION. THE KEY HAS TO BE JIGGLED, AND/OR REMOVED AND REINSERTED SEVERAL TIMES FOR THIS TO START THE VEHICLE. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 SATURN VUE. WHILE IDLING AT A RED LIGHT, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS STRUCK HEAD ON BY ANOTHER VEHICLE TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED IN THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. SHE NOTIFIED THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, MANUFACTURER, AND THE CENTER CLAIMS DIVISION. SHE RESEARCHED SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ON THE SAME COMPONENT FOR HER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MAJOR INJURIES TO HER NECK, BACK, AND KNEE AND IS CURRENTLY IN PHYSICAL THERAPY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 62,000.
DECEMBER 20, 2008 - DRIVING A 2006 SATURN VUE - I WAS SITTING AT A RED LIGHT IN THE SOUTH BOUND LANE OF ROUTE 1 - INTERSECTION CONTEE ROAD. WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE TRAVELING NORTH BOUND ROUTE 1 - INTERSECTION CONTEE ROAD DROVE IN THE SOUTH BOUND LANE OF ROUTE 1 AT A SPEED OF 50-55 MPH AND HIT MY 2006 SATURN VUE (THAT WAS STOPPED) HEAD ON COLLISION (FRONTAL). THE AIRBAGS IN THE 2006 SATURN VUE DID NOT DEPLOY ON THE DRIVE NOR THE PASSENGER SIDE. INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED IN THIS ACCIDENT. THIS VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH FOUR (4) AIRBAGS THAT DID NOT DEPLOY. THE 2006 SATURN VUE IS NOT REPAIRABLE - TOTAL LOSS. THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANY INDICATION OR WARNING LIGHTS THAT THE AIRBAGS WERE NOT FUNCTIONAL. *TR
