HERE IS A TESLA FRESHLY ARRIVED IN THE JUNKYARD. THE BACK WHEEL HAS GONE WHOMPY WHICH IS NOT UNUSUAL FOR A TESLA. THERE IS NO CRASH DAMAGE AT THE BACK OF THE CAR THAT WOULD EXPLAIN WHY THE WHEEL WENT WHOMPY. IT WENT WHOMPY BEFORE THE CRASH. THE FRONT WHEEL AND SUSPENSION HAS SNAPPED OFF AND HAS ESCAPED THE FIRE BECAUSE IT WAS LYING ON THE GROUND NEXT TO THE CAR DURING THE FIRE. THE AIR-SHOCK IS STASHED INSIDE THE CAR BECAUSE IT WAS STASHED THERE BY THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER. THE FRONT WHEEL IS CLEANLY SLICED IN HALF. THIS IS A COMMON FAILURE IN TESLAS. THE SUSPENSION BREAKS WHILST THE CAR IS TRAVELLING AND THE BROKEN PART GOUGES THE WHEEL WHILST IT IS ROTATING. THE COMPUTER SCREEN WENT DEAD CAN'T TURN ON HEAT OR AC, OPEN SIDE MIRROR OR CHARGE THE CAR
EXPERIENCED INTERMITTENT TOUCHSCREEN LOCK UP AND SELF REBOOTS RESULTING IN LOSS OF REAR VIEW CAMERA, HVAC CONTROL FUNCTIONALITIES, AND FEEDBACK SOUND/INDICATOR FOR TURN SIGNALS. ENTERTAINMENT(RADIO) CONTROLS WERE ALSO LOCKED OUT. *TR
WHEN TURNING THE WHEEL AND BACKING UP INTO A PARKING SPOT AT MY WORK, THERE WAS A LOUD THUD/POP NEAR THE FRONT LEFT TIRE. I WAS TRAVELING 1-5 MPH SINCE I WAS BEING CAREFUL WITH MY NEW CAR. THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED NOT MORE THAN 48 HOURS BEFORE FROM A TESLA DEALERSHIP. ON THE DAY THAT WE BOUGHT IT AND DROVE IT HOME THE CAR WAS SHAKING SO BAD WE HAD TO MOVE THE KIDS CAR SEATS TO THE BACK OF THE CAR. THAT SAME DAY WE SET UP A SERVICE APPOINTMENT TO GET THAT ISSUE FIXED WHILE NOT DRIVING THE CAR BECAUSE WE WERE AFRAID THERE WERE TIRE PROBLEMS. THE DEALERSHIP LOOKED OVER OTHER ISSUES AS WELL BEFORE WE LEFT BUT SAID SINCE THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WAS CLOSED THAT DAY WE WOULD HAVE TO COME BACK SOMETIME IN THE FUTURE. *TR

THE MCU IS FAILING, ITS SLOW, FREEZES AND HAS YELLOW BORDERS.
MCU HAS BEEN SUPER SLOW AND UN-USABLE. CANT USE IT TO MAKE ANY CALLS OR USE VOICE COMMANDS. IT IS SUPER SLOW AND TEND TO FAIL SOON AND TESLA IS NOT READY TO REPAIR OR REPLACE IT. OTHER ISSUE I HAVE IS, RATTLING SOUND WHILE DRIVING AND TESLA SAYS ITS COMMON. I DO NOT EXPECT THIS WHEN I PAID $90,000 FOR A CAR. IT FEELS AS IF I AM DRIVING A CHEAP 20 YEAR OLD CAR.
WHEN DRIVING AT 40 MILES AN HOUR THREE TIMES THE CAR WILL LOCK UP AND PULL INTO THE RIGHT LANE. EACH TIME THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANOTHER VEHICLE IN THE RIGHT LANE NEXT TO ME BUT I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR FOR FEAR THAT WHEN THIS HAPPENS I WILL HIT THE CAR NEXT TO ME I HAVE COMPLAINED TO TESLA AND THEY CANNOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I BELIEVE TESLA HAS DESIGNED AND INSTALLED DEFECTIVE UPPER CONTROL ARM, JOINTS, AND BUSHINGS THAT DO NOT SUPPORT THE WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE. I HAVE EXPERIENCED A SLIGHT GLIDING OF VEHICLE IN ADDITION TO CREAKY AND CLANGY SOUNDS EMITTING FROM THE FRONT SUSPENSION. THE GLIDING OCCURS DURING 30-45 MPH, AND THE NOISES OCCUR AT SLOW SPEEDS. MY VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS 22K MILES ON IT AND HAVE BEEN DRIVEN UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS. *TR
WHILE BACKING DOWN AN INCLINE, WHEN THE REAR WHEEL ROLLED ONTO FLAT ROAD SURFACE THE PASSENGER REAR WHEEL MOUNTING ARM BROKE FROM FRAME. NO OBJECT OR EXTERNAL FORCE CAUSE THE BREAKAGE. THE WHEEL ASSEMBLY WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO TRACK STRAIGHT AS THE ASSEMBLY WAS AT AN ABNORMAL ANGLE DUE TO THE METAL ARM MOUNT SHEARED FROM THE FRAME. NO TIRE OR RIM DAMAGE OCCURRED. VEHICLE WAS CAREFULLY FLAT BEDDED TO MANUFACTURER'S SERVICE CENTER IN MILFORD CT.
VEHICLE NOT ABLE TO SUPERCHARGE DUE TO SALVAGE TITLE, VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO SUPERCHARGE FOR A YEAR AND TURNED OFF WITH OUT NOTICE OR WARNING. VEHICLE HAS NOT SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO HIGH VOLTAGE COMPONENTS AND PASSED TESLA HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM INSPECTION. NOTIFIED SUPERCHARGING IS PERMANENTLY DISABLED FOR BOTH TESLA AND THIRD PARTY DC FAST CHARGING MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO RODE TRIP ON THE VEHICLE. I ATTACHED INVOICES FOR PAYED CHARGING VEHICLE NOW NOT SUPERCHARGING DISABLED.
MY TESLA MODEL X 100 D 2017 HAS THIS BIG SCREEN IN CENTER. AFTER APX. 2,5 YEARS THE SCREEN BECAME LESS RESPONSIVE, ERROR MESSAGE ('PLEASE WAIT UNTIL SYSTEM HAS POWERED UP'), 1-2 MINUTES BEFORE I COULD DRIVE, TROUBLE CONNECTING VIA APP, I COULD NOT INITIATE THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM. I THEN WENT TO TESLA SERVICE CENTER, AND THEY 'FLUSHED THE CAR' AS THEY TOLD ME (MEANING DELETING ADDRESS FAVORITES, AND I THINK ALSO RADIO FAVORITES). THE CAR WAS AS NEW AGAIN! BUT THEN I LEARNED FROM TESLA THAT THIS WAS RELATED TO THE EMMC (EMBEDDED MEMORY CARD) SOLDED ON THE MAIN BOARD ON BACK OF THE SCREEN. AFTER TALKING WITH MULTIPLE OTHERS, IT TURNS OUT THAT THIS IS THE FAMOUS EMMC-FAILURE OF TESLA: AFTER MULTIPLE OVER WRITING OF THIS CARD, IT SIMPLY STOP WORKING. YOU CANNOT CONNECT WITH APP, AND YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THIS (AND IF OUT OF WARRANTY YOU HAVE TO PAY APX USD 2-3000,- OUT OF OWN POCKET! HOWEVER, MORE CRITICALLY (BESIDE THE VERY NEGATIVE FACT THAT YOU IN REALITY IS HAVING A VERY 'DUMB' CAR, IS THAT THE CAR IS NOT AT ALL ABLE TO RECEIVE ANY UPDATES (READ 'CORRECTIONS') RELATED TO SECURITY. THIS IS CLEARLY A HUGE DESIGN ERROR ON PRACTICALLY THE BRAIN OF A TESLA, AND AFFECTS ALL MODEL S AND X UP TO 2018 WHEN TESLA REALIZED THIS BY THEM SELVES AND INTRODUCED A NEW VERSION OF EMMC. ALL VERSION 1 OF THE EMMC SHOULD BE RECALLED AND REPLACED BY TESLA. *TR

THE 17-INCH TOUCHSCREEN PERIODICALLY GOES BLANK OR DOES NOT COME ON WHEN CAR IS STARTED. THIS OCCURS RANDOMLY WHILE CAR IS STATIONARY OR IN MOTION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 TESLA MODEL X. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE ABRUPTLY SHUT-OFF INTERMITTENTLY WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO A TESLA SERVICE CENTER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE DEALER WAS AWARE OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THERE WAS NO REMEDY FOR THE FAILURE. THIS IS A COMPLAINT ABOUT A 2017 TESLA MODEL X WITH 3 WHEELS THAT HAS JUST SHOWN UP IN THE SALVAGE YARD. HERE IS THE CAR. WHILE PARALLEL PARKING ON A CITY STREET, MY VEHICLE (TESLA MODEL X 2017) ACCELERATED UNINTENTIONALLY AND PUSHED THE VEHICLE #2 INTO THE VEHICLE #3 IN FRONT OF IT. MY VEHICLE ACCELERATED WITH SUCH FORCE THAT THE POLICE OFFICER THOUGHT MY VEHICLE WAS GOING AT LEAST 25MPH WHEN IT HIT THE CAR IN FRONT. AT THE TIME OF THE IMPACT, MY HEAD WAS THROWN FORWARD AND I COULD NOT RECALL IF I HAD STEPPED ON THE BRAKE OR THE ACCELERATOR.

THE LUDICROUS THING IS THAT TESLAS DO NOT HAVE ANY LIMIT STOPS ON THE AIR SUSPENSION. A SIMPLE AIR LEAK CAN CAUSE THIS FAILURE WHICH IN MANY CASES IT THEN RESULTS IN THE WHEEL JAMMING UP AND WRENCHING OFF THE SUSPENSION TWIGLETS. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? WE HAVE 2 MODEL X VEHICLES. THE 2017 X100D DEVELOPED SERIOUS BUMPING AND GRINDING ISSUES IN ITS LEFT FRONT STEERING RACK ASSEMBLY DURING SLOW TURNS. IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THERE WAS ZERO INDICATION OF DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE OR IMPACT TO THE VEHICLE FROM OUTSIDE FORCES. THERE WAS A LESS-THAN-PIN SIZED PUNCTURE TO THE RUBBER BOOT, VISIBLE ONLY BY SEVERELY STRETCHING THE RUBBER APART, AND THE LUBRICATING OIL WAS GONE. TESLA SERVICE CLAIMED THE PINHOLE SIZED DAMAGE TO THE STEERING RACK'S RUBBER BOOT WAS CAUSED BY OUTSIDE FORCES. I WAS CHARGED $1,600.00. GIVEN TESLA'S MODEL S RECALL FOR THE SAME ISSUES, I RETAINED THE MALFUNCTIONING STEERING RACK AND HAD IT INSPECTED BY 2 INDEPENDENT AUTO REPAIR SHOPS: WHEELWORKS AND AAMCO. IN BOTH CASES, WITHOUT REMOVING THE BOOT, THE OPINION OF BOTH AUTO REPAIR SHOPS WAS THAT THE PIN HOLE DAMAGE TO THE BOOT COULD DEFINITELY NOT HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY EXTERNAL FORCES. THE DAMAGE COULD ONLY HAVE RESULTED FROM INTERNAL DAMAGE TO THE STEERING COLUMN JOINT SPINNING OUT A SHARD OF STEEL, AND SUBSEQUENT EXTREMELY SLOW DRAINAGE OF THE LUBRICATING OIL. THIS TESLA HAD ITS 2 YEAR SERVICE PERFORMED ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO. TWO DAYS AFTER THIS STEERING ASSEMBLY REPAIR ISSUE, THE TESLA WAS AGAIN BACK IN THE REPAIR SHOP BECAUSE OF A LOUD CREAKING NOISE COMING FROM THE RIGHT FRONT END. TESLA MECHANICS ORIGINALLY THOUGHT IT WAS A CREAKING SEAT, AND THEN THOUGHT IT WAS A CREAKING SUSPENSION. IT WAS ULTIMATELY DETERMINED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS THE RIGHT FRONT UPPER BALL JOINT. THERE WAS NO LUBRICATING OIL IN THE PROTECTIVE BOOT, AND NO DAMAGE TO THE BOOT. THE BALL JOINT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THIS BALL JOINT WAS REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY, YET TESLA PERSISTS IN REFUSING TO REIMBURSE FOR THE $1,600.00 STEERING ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT NECESSITATED BY THE SAME ABSENCE OF LUBRICATING OIL, SIMILAR AGAIN TO THE MODEL S RECALL.
MUCH LIKE SMART PHONES THESE DAYS WILL EVENTUALLY UPDATE TO THE POINT THAT THE SOFTWARE OUTPACES THE HARDWARE, TESLA HAS CONTINUALLY PUSHED MORE UPDATED SOFTWARE TO THE POINT WHERE CERTAIN FEATURES ARE RENDERED UNUSABLE. NOT ONLY DOES THE INTERFACE LAG, CAUSING DANGEROUS DISTRACTIONS WHILE DRIVING, BUT CERTAIN CRITICAL SAFETY FEATURES NO LONGER OPERATE EITHER - TURN SIGNALS, HANDS-FREE, NAVIGATION, ETC.
THIS IS A COMPLAINT ABOUT THE TESLA BATTERIES WHICH ARE THE SUBJECT OF AN NHTSA INVESTIGATION. THE COST OF THE REPLACEMENT IS $50K INC AND THERE APPEARS TO BE NO POTENTIAL FOR A SINGLE BATTERY BANK TO BE AT FAULT (BASED UPON WHAT THEY'VE SAID). THEY'VE QUOTED THE CURRENT VERSION OF THE WARRANTY TO ME BUT MY LEGAL GUYS SAY THAT THE TERMS THAT APPLY ARE THOSE THAT APPLIED WHEN THE CAR WAS SOLD, NOT THE CURRENT TERMS. The contact owns a 2017 Tesla Model X. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the center display would inadvertently turn blank or reset on its own. The contact stated that the rear-view camera would inadvertently turn blank and the center display would take more than five minutes to reset while driving. The contact also stated that the audio sound of the vehicle would fail to work, including the turn signal beeping sound. The vehicle was taken to a Tesla service center who reset the software; however, the failure had been reoccurring while driving. The vehicle was taken to a second Tesla service center, Tesla (320 W Golf Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60195) several times and the software was reloaded; however, the failure persisted. The contact received a recall notification for NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V035000 (Back Over Prevention, Visibility, Exterior Lighting) however, the dealer informed the contact that the parts for the recall repair were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 19,000. Parts distribution disconnect. Consumer stated it appears the chips are available, and Tesla has chosen to sell an upgrade rather than comply with the recall.
THE CAR SHUDDERS WHEN ACCELERATING. I HAVE HAD THE FRONT HALF SHAFTS REPLACED TWICE AND NOW THE SHUDDER IS BACK AGAIN. ON AUG 4, 2018, IN VENTURA, CA, AT ABOUT 2:30 PM I WAS DRIVING A PASSENGER TO A MEDICAL CLINIC IN A RENTED TESLA MODEL X. AS I WAS PULLING INTO THE PARKING SPACE THE TESLA RAPIDLY ACCELERATED FORWARD UNEXPECTEDLY. SURPRISED AND SCARED I TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL AS HARD AS I COULD AND PRESSED ON THE BRAKE TO STOP THE CAR TO AVOID THE BUILDING IN FRONT OF ME. EVEN WITH MY EFFORTS OF STOPPING, THE CAR WENT OVER THE CURB ONTO THE SIDEWALK AND THEN OVER A LOW CEMENT WALL AND FINALLY STOPPED NEXT TO THE BUILDING. THIS CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE CEMENT WALL, THE FRONT RIGHT WHEEL WELL AND THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF THE CAR. LUCKILY NO ONE WAS HURT. IF I HADN'T AVOIDED HITTING THE BUILDING OR IF A PERSON HAD BEEN WALKING OR STANDING IN FRONT OF ME ON THE SIDEWALK SOMEONE COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN INJURED. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE THAT THE WHEEL COULD HAVE BEEN SLICED IN HALF BY A COLLISION WITH THE BARRIER. THE WHEEL HAS BEEN SLICED THROUGH BY A BROKEN SUSPENSION COMPONENT JAMMING INTO THE INSIDE OF THE WHEEL WHILE IT WAS ROTATING JUST AS THOUGH IT WAS TURNING ON A LATHE AND HAD A TOOL FORCED INTO IT. THERE CAN BE NO DOUBT THAT THIS WHEEL WAS SLICED BEFORE HITTING THE BARRIER. THERE IS A SINGLE WHEEL SKID MARK JUST BEFORE THE CRASH SITE. HE GOT BRUISES ON THE CHEEK, AND LEFT EAR WAS BRIGHT RED FROM THE IMPACT.

I'VE OWNED THIS CAR FOR 3 YEARS. FIRST FOUR MONTHS I HAD TO CHANGE OUT SCREENS 3 TIMES. STILL HAVING ISSUES WITH SCREEN NON STOP. EVERY TIME I BRING IN THEY SAY THEY FIXED OR REPLACED. STILL NOT WORKING AND DANGEROUS WHEN IT JUST GOES BLANK!! IT TURNS OFF IDLE AND WHEN MOVING... SCARY WHEN MOVING!!

AIR-BAGS HAVE DEPLOYED AND THERE IS SOME DAMAGE TO THE BODYWORK. IT IS EXTREMELY LIKELY THAT THE CAUSE OF ALL THE DAMAGE WAS A CASE OF TESLA SUSPENSION COLLAPSE. HERE IS A MODEL X IN THE JUNKYARD:HTTPS://WWW.IAAI.COM/VEHICLE?ITEMID=26559880&ROWNUMBER=38&LOADRECENT=TRUE IT HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN A MAJOR FRONT END COLLISION AND IS LISTED AS BIO-HAZARD WHICH MEANS THAT OCCUPANTS HAVE BEEN INJURED. THE FRONT END IS BADLY DAMAGED BUT THE REAR END OF THE CAR IS COMPLETELY UNDAMAGED EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT THE LH BACK WHEEL HAS GONE TOTALLY WHOMPY. IT IS EXTREMELY LIKELY THAT THE WHOMPY WHEEL WAS THE CAUSE OF THE CRASH AND NOT SIMPLY A RESULT OF IMPACT DAMAGE. THE WHEEL AND TIRE ARE COMPLETELY UNDAMAGED AS IS THE REAR OF THE CAR. IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE THAT THE WHOMPY WHEEL WAS CAUSED BY AN IMPACT SINCE THE WHEEL WOULD BE EXPECTED TO BREAK BEFORE THE SUSPENSION FELL APART IF THE SUSPENSION WAS BUILT TO NORMAL AUTOMOTIVE STANDARDS.
