WHILE EXITING INTERSTATE 75S, 5-YEAR-OLD TOYOTA CAMRY MADE STRANGE ENGINE NOISES AND LATER BEGAN SMOKING HEAVILY. AFTER SMOKE CLEARED, THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE ENGINE. MECHANIC SAID THAT COULD BE ENGINE OIL SLUDGE PROBLEM AND/OR "THROWN ROD." DEALER COMPLETED 5-YEAR-MAINTENANCE CHECK ON 8/28/03. *LA
THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT TURNS ON AND OFF RANDOMLY. I REPLACED GAS CAP AND NO HELP. *LA
FRONT SUSPENSION MAKES EXCESSIVE NOISE OVER BUMPS. THE MECHANICS I SENT IT TO DON'T KNOW WHAT'S CAUSING THE NOISE. I HAD ALL THE STRUTS AND SPRINGS CHANGED BUT THE NOISE PERSISTS. ALL THE PARTS WERE FROM THE DEALER. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT I CAN DO AND IF THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP. *LA
I BROUGHT MY 98 CAMRY INTO TOYOTA CITY IN MAMARONECK, NY ON 11/6/03 BECAUSE OF BLUE SMOKE THAT WAS COMING OUT OF THE TAIL PIPE. SEALS WERE REPLACED BUT THERE WAS STILL LEAKING OF OIL. ON 6/2/04 THE CAMRY HAS MORE REPAIRS DONE WITH GASKETS AND SEALS REPLACED BUT STILL THERE WAS OIL LEAKING . I BROUGHT THE CAR BACK TO HAVE THE LEAK CHECKED AND I AM ALWAYS TOLD THERE IS NO LEAK. I HAVE SMOKE COMING INTO THE CAR FROM THE ENGINE AREA AND PUT A QUART OF OIL IN EVERY WEEK. *NM
RECALL 01V012000 CONCERNING ACCELERATOR CABLE FAILURE. WHILE DRIVING IN CRUISE CONTROLLED WHEN THE BRAKES WERE PRESSED THE CRUISE CONTROL CRUISE WOULD BE SUSPENDED. AFTER THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY STOPPED, THE CRUISE COULD BE USED AGAIN. *AK VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. *SC *JB
WHEN 98 CAMRY WAS FIRST BOUGHT IN SEPT 2000, I HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY AIR BAG LIGHT GOING OFF EVER SINCE IT WAS DRIVEN OFF LOT. DEALERSHIP FIXED AND I DID NOT HAVE A PROBLEM EVER SINCE. IN JUNE 2003 I HAD FLOOR WIRING HARNESS REPLACED. THE END OF OCT, BEGINNING OF SEPT I NEEDED MY ALARM SYSTEM SWITCHED OUT WITH NEW KEY SYSTEM (THE ALARM SYSTEM IS SOMETHING I NEEDED TO HAVE DONE). SINCE THE ALARM SYSTEM WAS CHANGED OUT, MY AIR BAG LIGHT HAS BEEN GOING OFF SINCE AND THEY TELL ME THERE IS A SENSOR PROBLEM AGAIN BUT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM TO FIX. THIS IS THE SAME PROBLEM I HAD WHEN I DROVE THE CAR OFF THE LOT. NOW THAT THE WARRANTY IS UP THEY DO NOT WANT TO FIX. THEY WANT ME TO PAY FOR A PROBLEM THAT I FEEL IS THEIRS. ITS ONLY BEEN 3 YEARS THAT I HAVE HAD THIS CAR AND I FILL THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. WHY WOULD I KEEP HAVING A PROBLEM WITH MY AIRBAG INDICATOR? THIS AIRBAG CAN GO OFF ANYTIME OR MAY NOT GO OFF WHEN IT IS REALLY NEEDED. *LA
ENGINE BLOW UP AND BLEW RODS, ROD BARS, CRANK, OIL PUMP, RINGS, PISTONS, THRUST WASHERS, SHIMS.
CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING OIL SLUDGE PROBLEM. MY TOYOTA DEALERSHIP HAS NOT COMMITTED TO TAKING CARE OF THE PROBLEM. WE ARE CURRENTLY STILL WORKING WITH THEM TO SEE IF THEY WILL TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM.
WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN HEAD ON COLLISION, AND AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *AK
CENTER REAR SEAT BELT DOES NOT RETRACT. *AK THE FAILURE WAS UNEXPECTED AND SEEMED TO BE A DEFECT. THE CONSUMER WAS NOT ABLE TO USE THE CENTER BELT IN THE REAR SEAT. THE DEALER REFUSED TO COVER THE REPAIR COST. *SC
THE CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED BECAUSE THE STEERING COLUMN LOCKED UP. THE RECALL LETTER WAS RECEIVED AFTER THE ACCIDENT FOR 40-4000046657. *JB
CONSUMER STATES THAT VEHICLE IS DOING THE SAME THING AS MENTIONED IN SERVICE BULLETIN EG01302, AND THAT VEHICLE WILL NOT PASS EMISSION BECAUSE THE EMISSION CONTROL PANEL LIGHT IS ON, INDICATING THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH EMISSION CONTROL COMPUTER ONBOARD. *AK
I WAS DRIVING DOWN I-15 AND THE TREAD OF THE FRONT PASSENGER TIRE TORE OFF ,WHICH CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE FENDER,SIGNAL LIGHT & BUMPER.*AK
REAR SEAT BELTS FAILED TO RETRACT. THE DEALER SAID IT'S NOT COVERED BECAUSE OF MILEAGE OVER 60,000. SEAT BELTS TOO LARGE NOW TO PROVIDE PROTECTION TO KIDS. *LA
HAVE NOTICED FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF MONTHS THAT A LOT OF BLUE-BLACK SMOKE COMING FROM THE EXHUAUST UPON STARTUP. I HAVE FOUND OUT THAT A LOT OF TOYOTAS HAVE HAD ENGINE FAILURE CAUSED BY OIL SLUDGE BUILD-UP. NOW I'M CONCERNED THAT THE ENGINE MAY FAIL SOON. I HAVE HAD REGULAR OIL CHANGES (SOME DONE BY TOYOTA DEALERSHIP AND SOME BY MYSELF). THE TOYOTA DEALER IN COOS BAY ASSURED ME THAT THIS WAS NOT A PROBLEM AND ONLY HAPPENS ONCE IN ABOUT 25,000 CARS. THE FACTS SEEM TO BE QUITE DIFFERENT.
THE ENGINE IN MY CAMRY BLEW. THE CAR WAS WELL MAINTAINED AND RUNNING FINE. THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP INFORMED ME THAT THEY COULDN'T FIND ANY OIL SLUDGING/GELLING. HOWEVER, THEY COULDN'T EXPLAIN WHY THE ENGINE BLEW. ALL THEY COULD TELL ME IS THAT A PISTON BLEW THROUGH THE ENGINE. SINCE THEY CLAIMED THERE WAS NO OIL SLUDGING/GELLING THEY REFUSED TO COVER COSTS OF REPAIR.
THE ENGINE BLEW IN MY 1998 TOYOTA CAMRY. IT HAD 12300 MILEAGE AND WAS WELL MAINTAINED WITH NO PREWARNINGS THAT THERE WAS ANY ENGINE TROUBLE. I HAD RECEIVED A LETTER FROM TOYOTA CORPORATION MONTHS PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT, WARNING OF OIL SLUDGING/GELLING PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR MODEL. THE LETTER STATED THAT ALL REPAIR COSTS WOULD BE COVERED FOR DAMAGES CAUSED BY OIL SLUDGING/GELLING. THE TOYOTA MECHANICS INFORMED ME THAT THE ENGINE APPEARED CLEAN - NO OIL SLUDGING. BUT, THEY DID NOT KNOW WHY THE ENGINE BLEW. THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE OIL MIGHT HAVE BEEN LOW. HOWEVER, I HAD JUST HAD AN OIL CHANGE PERFORMED TWO MONTHS PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT AND WAS NOT INFORMED OF AN OIL LEAK, NOR DID MY OIL INDICATOR LIGHT EVER COME ON. EVEN THOUGH THEY COULDN'T EXPLAIN WHAT CAUSED THE ENGINE TO BLOW, THEY WOULD NOT COVER ANY COSTS OF REPAIR. *AK
CONSUMER HAD TWO ACCIDENTS IN THE PAST TWO MONTHS DUE TO SUDDEN ACCELERATION. DEALER NOT NOTIFIED. *AK
IN 65,000 MILES THE FUEL SENSOR HAS FAILED REQUIRING REPLACEMENT. CHECKED ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND REMAINS ON.*AK
WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THE STEERING WHEEL VIBRATED VIOLENTLY. THE DEALER STATED BECAUSE THE TIRES WERE UNBALANCED THE STEERING WHEEL VIBRATED. PLEASE PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. *JB
MY CAMRY STARTED ACTING FUNNY. WHILE LEAVING WORK TO TAKE MY CAR TO THE TOYOTA DEALER, THE ENGINE STARTED MAKING NOISES SO I PULLED OVER, SHUT THE CAR OFF AND WAITED FOR THE TOW TRUCK. THIS WAS WEDNESDAY JUNE 25, 2003. ON FRIDAY MORNING, MY HUSBAND WAS NOTIFIED THAT WE NEEDED A NEW ENGINE BECAUSE OF "OIL GELLING" OR "OIL SLUDGING" AND IT WOULD BE $3,500. I TOOK ALL OF THE PAPERWORK WITH A COPY OF THE JUNE 2002 TOYOTA LETTER TO MY DEALER TO SEE IF I WOULD "QUALIFY" FOR THEIR SUPPORT PROGRAM. WHEN I ASKED THE SERVICE TECH WHY THE CARS HAD NOT BEEN RECALLED DUE TO THE EXTENT OF DAMAGE THAT COULD BE CAUSED AND HE TOLD ME IT WAS ONLY A SMALL NUMBER OF CONSUMERS. I HAVE FOUND THAT TO BE UNTRUE. I WOULD EXPECT FOR TOYOTA TO PAY FOR A NEW ENGINE PLUS A COMPORABLE RENTAL CAR UNTIL MY CAR IS FIXED ALONG WITH OFFERING A EXTENDED OR NEW WARRENTY SINE THE SAME PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE REOCCURRING.
EXPERIENCED A TEXT BOOK CASE OF WHAT HAS BECOME KNOWN AS THE "TOYOTA SLUDGE ENGINE" PROBLEM. CONTACTED TOYOTA ABOUT SPA PROGRAM WHO REFERRED ME TO THE LOCAL DEALER. HE SAID UNLESS I HAVE DOCUMENTATION FOR AN OIL CHANGE EVERY 3000 MILES (MANUAL SAYS 7500) THAT TOYOTA WOULD NOT PROVIDE ANY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. SAID THAT I DID NOT "HAVE A LEG TO STAND ON" AND I WAS "SCREWED." ONCE REPAIRS ARE DONE AND PAID FOR I PLAN TO SUBMIT A CLAIM WITH ALL PAPERS TO TOYOTA.
WHILE PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE, SUDDEN ACCELERATION OCCURRED, I TRIED TO STOP, BUT THE BRAKES WOULD NOT RESPOND. I HIT A POLE AND TWO OTHER CARS, CAUSING MAJOR DAMAGE TO MY CAR AND THE CAR NEXT TO ME. ALSO, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *JB
ENGINE FAILED DUE TO OIL GELLING OR SLUDGE.
I EXPERIENCED A TEXT BOOK CASE OF WHAT I HAVE LEARNED IS THE TOYOTA SLUDGE PROBLEM. I WANTED TO BRING IT IN TO MY CLOSEST TOYOTA DEALER BUT WAS TOLD THAT IF I DID NOT HAVE PROOF OF OIL CHANGE EVERY 3000 MILES (MANUAL SUGGESTS 7500) NOT TO BOTHER BECAUSE HAD NO LEG TO STAND ON AND WAS BASICALLY SCREWED.
THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED WHEN STARTED AND WAS DIFFICULT TO STOP. *NLM
THE AUTOMATIC SHOULDER BELTS BECAME INOPERATIVE. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED. *NLM
THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED PROBLEM WITH THE ROTORS. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE ROTORS WERE WARPED AND THE PADS DID NOT FIT CORRECTLY. *NLM
THE PAINT ON THE HOOD OF MY CAR IS PEELING OFF. IT FIRST BEGAN TO BUBBLE AND THEN PEEL. THE AREAS ARE VERY LARGE AND IT LOOKS TERRIBLE. I BELIEVE IT HAS TO BE A DEFECT IN THE PAINT JOB BECAUSE THE REST OF THE PAINT IS FINT. *AK
THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. *JB
FRONT NOISE IF PASSING OVER BUMPS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THIS VERY COMMON TO TOYOTA CAMRYS FOR THIS YEAR THE DEALER STATES THE ONLY WAY TO GET RID OF THE NOISE IS TO REPLACE THE FRONT STRUTS AT COST TO ME. *LA
SIMPLY PUT. THE GAS PEDAL STICKS. MY WIFE HAS FOUND THE GAS PEDAL TO STICK WHILE SHE IS DRIVING. IN THE PAST, THE GAS PEDAL WOULD COME UP IN A SECOND OR SO. SHE DID NOT REALIZE WHAT WAS HAPPENING. SHE THOUGHT HER SHOE WAS GETTING IN THE WAY OR SOMETHING. BUT ON THE EVENING OF MARCH 12TH THE PEDAL WAS STICKING DOWN FOR ABOUT 5-10 SECONDS AS SHE WAS TRYING TO SLOW DOWN FOR AN INTERSECTION. IT FINALLY CAME UP AND SHE COULD COME TO A STOP. SHE CALLED ME IMMEDIATELY AND I INDICATED THAT THE CAR NEEDS TO GO IN IMMEDIATELY. THE EARLIEST THE DEALER WOULD TAKE THE CAR WAS THE MORNING OF MARCH 14TH. WHEN I EXPLAINED IT TO THE SERVICE GUY, HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT WAS WRONG. HE EXPLAINED TO ME THAT THE AIR INTAKE FOR THE ENGINE IS CONNECTED TO THE THROTTLE BODY. THE AIR INTAKE FLAP HAS A BUILD UP AROUND 15,000 AND IT WILL NOT CLOSE PROPERLY. THIS WILL CAUSE THE GAS PEDAL TO STICK. HE TOLD ME THAT I NEED TO HAVE THIS SERVICED EVERY 15,000 MILES FROM HERE ON IN. HE WROTE ON THE SERVICE SLIP "ENGINE MINOR". I CALLED TOYOTA CONSUMER SERVICE AND THEY INDICATED THAT THIS IS AN USUAL INCIDENT. HOWEVER, HE SAID IN THE SAME CONVERSATION THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED WITH THE SAME YEAR MODEL ON OTHER CARS. THE GENERAL EMPHASIS ON HIS PART WAS I WAS OVER REACTING AND INDICATED THIS PROBLEM WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. THIS CAR HAS ONLY 50,000 MILES. TOYOTA'S STANCE WAS THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED ON OTHER CARS BESIDES TOYOTA. I AM PLEADING WITH THIS ORGANIZATION TO INVESTIGATE THIS MATTER. I FEEL MY WIFE'S CAR IS NOT COMPLETELY SAFE UNLESS TOYOTA REPLACES THE PART IN A SPECIFIED AMOUNT OF TIME OR REDESIGNS THE ASSEMBLY AND DOES A RECALL. *JB
REAR SEAT BELT WILL NOT RETRACT. I NOTICED SEVERAL OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS FROM CONSUMERS. I BELIEVE IT IS TIME THE MANUFACTURER TOOK NOTE OF THIS PROBLEM.
AT STOP SIGNS OR RED LIGHTS,THE BRAKE PEDAL STARTS SINKING DOWN AND VEHICLE STARTS MOVING EVEN WHEN MAXIMUM BRAKE FORCE IS APPLIED.CUSTOMER PAID THE DEALER REPLACE THE MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER ON 04/10/2003 AND THE BRAKE PROBLEM HAS BEEN FIXED. *AK

THE VEHICLE STARTED SMOKING UNDER THE HOOD AND THEN CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. *NLM
DRIVING THE CAMRY DOWN THE INTERSTATE WHEN OIL LIGHT CAME ON. WITHIN 2-3 MILES I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF AND AS I ROLLED INTO A GAS STATION THE ENGINE BEGAN KNOCKING. WHEN TOWED TO A TOYOTA DEALER THEY SAID THE ENGINE WAS RUINED BUT CLAIMED IT WASN\\'T RELATED TO THE WELL-KNOWN OIL SLUDGE PROBLEM. THE OIL HAD BEEN CHANGED EVERY 3000-5000 MILES AND NEITHER LEAKED NOR USED OIL. THE DEALER HAD NO EXPLANATION WHY THE ENGINE WOULD SO SUDDENLY BE ROBBED ON OIL THAT IT WOULD THROW A ROD AND BE RUINED. I HAVE SINCE LEARNED THE ENGINE HAS GIVEN SO MANY PROBLEMS THAT TOYOTA DISCONTINUED IT (THE 2.2 4LITER). SINCE I HAD TO HAVE A USED ENGINE PUT IN (TOYOTA WANTED $5300!!) I HAVE NO ASSURANCE THAT THIS ENGINE WON\\'T DO EXACTLY THE SAME THING!!
WHILE SLOWLY EXITING A DRIVE THROUGH AT 5MPH THE CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED, SHOT ACROSS A STREET, AND DID NOT STOP UNTIL HITTING A SNOW DRIFT AND FENCE. BRAKING HAD NO EFFECT. DAMAGE TO CAR AND PROPERTY. DRIVER HAD TO CRAWL OUT PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW. THE VIN BEGAN WITH A LETTER J. *TR
CAMRY GAS PEDAL SELF-ACCELERATING. WE HAD A TOYOTA CAMRY 1998 (BOUGHT IN TOYOTA, MORRISTOWN, NJ IN FEB, 1998). BY ABOUT 2003, THE GAS PEDAL BEHAVED A LITTLE FUNNY. WHEN THE CAR WAS STANDING STILL, THE GAS PEDAL WOULD NOT RESPOND WHEN YOU PRESS ON IT. BUT IT WOULD JERK AND SUDDENLY SPEED UP WHEN YOU KEEP PRESSING ON IT. THE PROBLEM WAS NOT LIKE THE 'POPULAR GAS PEDAL STUCK' THING DESCRIBED. WE LIVED WITH THE PROBLEM FOR A FEW YEARS BEFORE THE CAR GET CRASHED AND TOTALED (NOT FOR THE PEDAL REASON). IT WAS MY HUSBAND'S CAR, WHEN I OCCASIONALLY DROVE IT, IT'S UNSAFE WHEN I STOP FOR TRAFFIC LIGHTS, SINCE IT SUDDENLY SPED UP. BUT MY HUSBAND WAS USED TO IT. *TR
I AM EXPERIENCING A WHITE SMOKE UPON START UP OF VEHICLE, ONLY IN THE MORNING COMING OUT OF THE EXAUST PIPE. I ONLY HAVE 79,000 MILES ON VEHICLE.
'98 TOYOTA CAMRY--OIL LIGHT CAME ON. WITHIN 2-3 MILES I WAS ABLE TO PULL INTO A SERVICE STATION AND AS I DID SO THE ENGINE SUDDENLY BEGAN KNOCKING. WHEN TOWED TO A TOYOTA DEALER HE SAID THE ENGINE WAS GONE OUT (RUINED). THIS VEHICLE HAD HAD OIL CHANGED EVERY 3000-5000 MILES. DEALER CLAIMED THIS MY ENGINE HAD NO SIGNS OF THE WELL-KNOWN OIL SLUDGE PROBLEM COMMON WITH THIS ENGINE. I'VE SINCE LEARNED THIS ENGINE HAD SO MANY PROBLEMS THAT IT IS NO LONGER BEING USED. WHAT RECOURSE IS THERE FOR WHAT APPEARS TO BE A FAULTY DESIGN ENGINE? MY WRECKER DRIVER'S FATHER'S '98 TOYOTA CAMRY'S ENGINE WENT OUT AFTER ONLY 2000! MILES.
SEAT BELT ON DRIVER'S SIDE DOES NOT RETRACT PROPERLY WHEN VEHICLE IS EXITED. IT GETS CAUGHT IN DOOR AND IS DAMAGED AFTER A PERIOD OF TIME BY THE DOOR BEING SLAMMED AGAINST IT.
WHILE DRIVING, SMOKE STARTED COMING OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD. AFTER PULLING OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TURNING OFF THE ENGINE, WITHIN 5-8 MINUTES THE ENGINE BURST INTO FLAMES. THE CAR WAS A TOTAL LOSS. THE INSURANCE COMPANY DID NOT DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THIS INCIDENT, ALTHOUGH OBVIOUS POTENTIAL CAUSES, SUCH AS RECENT SERVICE TO THE ENGINE, WERE RULED OUT (THERE HAD BEEN NO RECENT SERVICE).
FRONT SUPENSION MAKES CLUNKING AND BANGING NOISE WHEN DRIVING OVER EVEN SMALL POT HOLES. NOISE GETS MUCH WORSE WITH LARGER POT HOLES. NOISE STARTED AROUND 25K MILES.SUSPECT FRONT STRUTS AND STRUT MOUNTS.
THE REAR PASSENGER WHEEL FELL OFF GOING 10MPH. THE SPINDLE BROKE OFF COMPLETELY.
I CHANGED MY OIL AND THE ATTENDENT SAID THE OIL WAS GELLING UP. SINCE THAT DAY FOWARD MY CAR BURNS 4QUARTS OF OIL IN LESS THAN 200 MILES I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM THE DEALER LESS THAN A YEAR IN A HALF AGO.(DEC 22,2002). NOT ONE GARAGE WANTS TO REPAIR MY VECHILE THEY TOLD ME IT WAS OIL RINGS OR VALVES BUT ITS DUE TO THE OIL SLUDGE. I CALLED TOYOTA DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME TOO BAD THAT I HAD TO PAY FOR THE DEALER TO TAKE THE HEAD OFF AND THAN LET THEM DETERMINE IF IT INDEED IT IS OIL GELLING. THAN TOYOTA USA WOULD LOOK OVER MY FILE TO SEE IF IT WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM VERY RUDE AND UNIVITING.
WHEN RELEASING FOOT FROM THE GAS, THE GAS PEDAL WILL SOMETIMES LOCK IN THE IDLE POSITION REQUIRING EXTRA FORCE TO RELEASE IT RESULTING IN A SUDDEN ACCELERATION WHICH COULD RESULT IN LOSING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE IN SLIPPERY CONDITIONS. TS
CONSUMER STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AND WITHOUT WARNING THE FRONT RIGHT STRUTS SNAPPED CAUSING A DISTRACTION TO THE CONSUMER. DEALER NOTIFIED. TS
ENGINE FAILED DUE TO OIL SLUDGING.DEALER TOLD ME IT IS MY FAULT DO TO INFREQUENT OIL CHANGES.THEY SAY I NEED NEW ENGINE.I REPAIRED MYSELF SO IT IS DRIVABLE,BUT STILL HAS PROBLEMS.SOME KIND OF KNOCK AND OIL LEAK.I RECEIVED LETTER STATING TOYOTA WILL BACK THERE PRODUCT, BUT DEALER STILL WILL NOT HELP. DEALER IS TOYOTA ON NICHOLASVILLE.
ENGINE HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO OIL GELLING.
