CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN 25 MPH FRONTAL COLLISION IN WHICH THE AIR BAG SENSOR WAS HIT, BUT DRIVER'S SIDE/PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK

HIGH SPEEDS CAR HARD TO CONTROL, CORNERS HORRIBLY,PITCHING MOTION OVER BUMPS, CRUNCHING NOISE ON UNEVEN PAVEMENT
WHEN TRAVELING AT LOW SPEEDS ON WET PAVEMENT, AUTOMOBILE GOES INTO A SKID WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED. BRAKES COMPLETELY FAILED ON 10-13-99 AT 11,802- LOW BRAKE FLUID LEVEL LIGHT CAME ON. REPORTED LOUD NOISES FROM THE BRAKES TO TH DEALER AT 5000 MILES ( BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON THEN, AS WELL). NEW BRAKES ARE NEEDED NOW, AT 11,802 MILES. NOTE TOO THAT AUTOMOBLE SWAYS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS( I.E., HIGH SPEED AND WIND COMBINATION). AND, BRAKING AT HIGH SPEEDS (55 MILES PER HOUR) CAUSE THE CAR TO PULL.

DUE TO HEIGHT THE CONSUMER MUSH THE DRIVERS SEAT AS FAR BACK AS POSSIBLE FOR COMFORT, WHEN THE SEAT BELT IS RETRACTED IT TWIST 90% OF THE TIME AN CANNOT RETRACT CONSUMER BELIEVES THIS IS DUE TO THE LIMITED AMOUNT OF SPACE BETWEEN THE SEAT AND THE DOOR. NLM
THIS CAR HAS VISITED AT THE DEALER'S SERVICE STATION FOR ALMOST A TOTAL OF 3 WEEKS COMBINED SINCE I BOUGHT IT APRIL 2000. GAS LEAKED WHEN PUTTING GAS IN TANK AND THE CAR SMELLED OF GAS ON THE INSIDE. THE TANK WAS SUPPOSEDLY REPLACED BUT JUST RECENTLY STARTED LEAKING AGAIN. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS BEEN ON A TOTAL OF 3 TIMES. PLUS THE RIGHT FRONT AND REAR WHEELS MAKE NOISE. I JUST WANT THE CAR FIXED BECAUSE COROLLA'S ARE GOOD CARS BUT THE CONSTANT VISITS TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR ONE THING OR ANOTHER IS REALLY STARTING TO ANNOY ME AND HAS BECOME A HUGE INCONVENIENCE. *AK
PARKING BRAKE FAILS (2 COMPLETE FAILURES). TAKEN TO DEALER, FIXED, BUT FAILED AGAIN. MANUAL TRANSMISSION CAR, SO I NEED THE PARKING BRAKE. CAR NEARLY ROLLED INTO TRAFFIC NUMEROUS TIMES. MADE TO PAY FOR REPAIRS. NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO PARK ON STEEP HILLS.*AK
WHEN MOVING AIR BAG INDICATION LIGHT WOULD FLASH INTERMITTENTLY. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHRE INFORMATION.*AK
WHILE TRAVELING AT 35 MPH AND AS A RESULT OF AN ACCIDENT AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AT ANY TIME. CONSUMER WAS INJURED. DEALER WAS CONTACTED. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
REAR RIGHT WHEEL BROKE OFF AT THE AXLE WHILE DRIVING AT 25 MPH. TOYOTA HAS NOT BEEM CONTACTED AS OF YET. *AK
WHEN GOING UP ON AN INCLINE, WITH THE SPEED CONTROL ACTIVATED, VEHICLE DOWN SHIFTS AND ACCELERATED SUDDENLY. DEALER HAS INSPECTED VEHICLE.*AK
THE INNER BEARING RACE WAS BROKEN PREMATURELY, AND THE FRONT WHEEL BEARING CASE HAD TO BE REPLACED. *YH
WHEN TRYING TO EXIT VEHICLE DOOR HANDLES ON DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS SIDE WILL NOT OPEN, CAN BE OPENED FROM OUTSIDE USING A KEY TO LOCK AND UNLOCK. HAD NOT TAKEN VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP.*AK
THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON COLLISION AT 30-35 MPH, THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY ON IMPACT RESULTING IN MINOR INJURIES. NLM
THE HEADLIGHTS ON NEWER CARS ARE TOO BRIGHT AND THE LIGHTS ON SUVS ARE TOO HIGH -- BOTH OF THESE PROBLEMS ARE INTERFERRING WITH MY ABILITY TO SEE WHEN I'M DRIVING AT NIGHT. THESE NEW LIGHTS ARE TOO BRIGHT AND BLIND ME, EVEN WHEN I SWITCH MY REAR VIEW MIRROR TO THE NIGHT POSITION.*AK

VEHICLE'S INNER ROD BROKE CAUSING ENGINE MOTOR TO BLOW.*MR WHILE DRIVING THE CONSUMER NOTICED A TICKING NOISE. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER WHEN THE CONSUMER NOTICE SMOKE COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE INNER ROD BROKE AND CAUSED THE ENGINE TO FAIL. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED AN EXPLANATION AND REIMBURSEMENT. *NLM
AIRBAG LIGHT WAS FLASHING. TOOK VEHICLE TO THE BODY SHOP, AND WAS TOLD THAT AIRBAGS WON'T DEPLOY IN AN IMPACT. THIS WAS DUE TO AN ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT BEING AGITATED WHEN DRIVER'S SEAT WAS MOVED BACK AND FORTH.*AK
THE SEAT BELT INDICATOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE SEAT BELT SENSOR MAY HAVE MALFUNCTIONED AND CAUSED THE LIGHT TO ILLUMINATE. *NM *NM
