I RECEIVED RECALL FOR MY CAR FROM TOYOTA, AFTER REPAIR NOW AIRBAG LIGHT IS COMING IN MY DASH BOARD .BEFORE RECALL REPAIR EVERYTHING WAS GOOD.THAN I CONTACT WITH REPAIR FACILITY OF TOYOTA (HAMER TOYOTA) THEY TOLD ME THIS ISSUE IS NOT DUE TO REPAIR.
THE AIRBAG RECALL FIRST HAPPENED SEVERAL YEARS AGO. MY VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AT THE TIME. NOW THERE IS A SECOND RECALL FOR THE SAME AIRBAG. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 TOYOTA COROLLA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF A SECOND VEHICLE. DURING THE CRASH, THE FRONT SUSTAINED SEVERE DAMAGE BUT THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED AWAY. NO POLICE REPORT WAS TAKEN. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED A MILD HEAD INJURY. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,000.
The ECM is bad. Shuts off when driving or will not start for hours after you drive for a while and shut off.
OIL SLUDGE BUILD UP WHICH CAUSED 1ST CYLINDER PISTON TO BREAK CAUSING TOTAL ENGINE FAILURE AND ENGINE NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN ON HIGHWAY HAD 68,000 MILES. SAW A WHITE PLUME OF SMOKE AND ENGINE DIED. CAR REQUIRED TOWING TO AUTO MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED PROBLEM.
A/C BLOWS HOT ON DRIVER SIDE AND COLD ON PASSENGER SIDE UNTIL IT CUTS OF AND BLOWS ONLY HOT AIR. ALSO FRONT END SUSPENSION PROBLEMS REPEATEDLY. FINALLY ITS UNDER RECALL FOR TAKATA AIRBAGS.
I WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT LAST YEAR AND I WAS SITTING ON THE PASSENGER SEAT AND MY HUSBAND WAS ON THE DRIVERS SEAT ALONG WITH MY TWO CHILDREN IN THE BACK SEAT. WE WERE REAR ENDED BY HIGH SPEED VEHICLE DRIVING ERRATICALLY. ALL OF US SUFFERED WHIP LASH AND BACK INJURIES IN THE ACCIDENT. ALSO, THE AIRBAG NEVER GOT DEPLOYED AND THE AIR BAG SIGN IS ON THE DASH BOARD. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS LIFE AND DEATH SITUATION AND I AM UPSET FOR BUYING A BRAND NEW CAR WHICH I HOPED THAT ALL SAFETY EQUIPMENT WILL BE WORKING. I WAS SHOCKED AND HURT AT THE SAME TIME. AFTER THAT FEW MONTHS LATER I RECEIVED AIRBAG RECALL NOTICE TO TAKE THE VEHICLE FOR REPAIR TO THE NEAREST TOYOTA DEALER SHIP. I WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING AND THEY COULDN'T FIX THE AIR BAG SIGN COMING ON THE DASHBOARD AND THEY DIDN'T FIX THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG. I AM REFERRING TO THIS SERIOUS ISSUE WITHOUT ANY OUTCOME. MY INJURED TO ME AND MY FAMILY IS NOT WORTH DRIVING DEFECTIVE VEHICLE. I NEED SOMEONE WHO CAN GET BACK TO ME AND PROVIDE SOLUTION. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA COROLLA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DECELERATED ON ITS OWN IN TRAFFIC. THE CONTACT PLACED THE VEHICLE IN PARK, SHUT OFF, AND RESTARTED THE ENGINE. AFTERWARDS, THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME SAFELY. ALSO, WHILE DRIVING 20-40 MPH, THE VEHICLE HESITATED WHILE SHIFTING GEARS AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TOYOTA MARIETTA (750 COBB PKWY S, MARIETTA, GA 30060, (470) 938-8436) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A COMPUTER UPDATE NEEDED TO BE PERFORMED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE CONTACT WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR COST BECAUSE THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME SYMPTOMS AS LISTED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V384000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
NUMEROUS TIMES WHILE DRIVING, REGARDLESS OF SPEED (SOMETIMES ON THE HIGHWAY AT 75 MPH, OTHERS WHEN PULLING OUT FROM A STOP TO CROSS A BUSY INTERSECTION), THE VEHICLE SEIZES AND I LOSE CONTROL OF ALL ACCELERATION AND BRAKING MECHANISMS, WHILE THE ENGINE REVS AND THE CAR SLOWS TO ALMOST TOTAL STOP, WITH MY ONLY HOPE OF SWERVING INTO A DITCH TO AVOID BEING REAR ENDED BY THE CARS AND MASSIVE MAC TRUCKS BEHIND MY VEHICLE, IMPOSSIBLE TO AVOID COLLIDING ON THE NARROW STEEP RURAL ROADS. IN THE COURSE OF ONE MILE, TODAY SPECIFICALLY, THE VEHICLE CONVULSED AND SEIZED FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS, WHERE I COULD ONLY TURN MY BLINKER ON AND HOPE PEOPLE COULD GO AROUND ME. I LONG CONSIDERED THIS ISSUE RELATED TO SLIPPERY ROAD CONDITIONS, BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT IT FEELS LIKE, THOUGH EXPERIENCING THE TERROR OF LOSING COMPLETE CONTROL ON A HOT SUNNY, DRY DAY LAST SUMMER PUT THE SEVERITY OF THIS ISSUE INTO PERSPECTIVE- THE DRIVER NEEDS TO BE IN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND THE FULL OPERATOR OF EVERY FUNCTION TO PREVENT THE VEHICLE FROM BECOMING A DEADLY WEAPON. THIS VEHICLE INHIBITS MY ABILITY TO PREVENT HARM. IN TRYING TO DIAGNOSE THIS ISSUE, I HAVE SPENT TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, AND THE VEHICLE STILL REMAINS UNSAFE. ON 4/9/18, I SPENT $2,065.29 TO REPLACE WHEEL BEARINGS FOR THE SECOND TIME IN UNDER A YEAR AND A HALF, AS WELL AS SERVICED THE EMERGENCY BREAK, PURCHASED NEW TIRES YET AGAIN, AND REBUILT THE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION. BACK ON 11/20/17, THE VEHICLE RECEIVED BRAND NEW LF WHEEL BEARING AND BRAND NEW SPARK PLUGS FOR $535.29 TO CURE THE POWER ISSUE, TO NO AVAIL. ONLY 8 MONTHS EARLIER ON 3/30/17, I SPENT IN EXCESS OF $1200 TO SERVICE THE STRUTS, SHOCKS, REAR BRAKES, BREAK PADS, RODARS, BRAKE CALLIPERS, AND REAR EMERGENCY BREAK, AND STILL THE ISSUE PERSISTED. THE ENGINE, WHEELS, AND BRAKES OF THIS 2007 TOYOTA MATRIX CONTINUE TO IMPEDE MY ABILITY TO KEEP THE PEOPLE ON THE ROAD SAFE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA COROLLA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKES WERE NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. THE CONTACT HAD TO DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL WITH EXTREME FORCE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CAR SPOT (5959 BOULDER HWY, LAS VEGAS, NV 89122, (702) 454-4500) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR BRAKE DRUMS AND ROTORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 187,000.
TAKATA RECALL THE PROBLEM ON THIS CAR IS THE TRANSMISSION IS NOT WORKING I WANT TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THE CAR IS RUNNING BUT THE ENGINE LIGHT IS ON WE TOOK IT TO THE MECHANIC SHOP AND THEY TOLD US, IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION.
I HAD JUST STARTED THE CAR UP AND WAS PULLING OUT OF A PARKING LOT.THE CAR EXCELERATED ON ITS OWN .I COULD NOT CONTROL THE SPEED AND IT DID NOT RESPOND TO MY TRYING TO BREAK. I HAD TO PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL TO REGAIN CONTROL.I MISSED HTITING ANOTHER VEHICLE AND PEOPLE WALKING IN THE PARKING LOT. I HAD THE CAR REPAIRED TECHNICIAN SUGGESTED THROTTLE BODY REPLACEMENT. . TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM THE THROTTLE BODY WAS REPLACED WITH GASKET AND PERFORMED RELEARN. TOTAL COST $619.50 JAN .2 2019
VEHICLE WAS DISPLAYING SIGNS OF NOT WANTING TO START, WHEN DRIVING CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. CAR IS DRIVEABLE BUT IS BECOMING SOMEWHAT ROUGH ESPECIALLY WHEN IDLING AT LIGHT OR STOP. TOOK CAR TO SERVICE CENTER AND THEY TOLD ME IT IS THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE SHOWING UP AS BEING DEFECTIVE OR BAD. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 44K MILES.

WHEN THE CONTACT STARTED THE VEHICLE IN THE DRIVEWAY AND DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE VEHICLE SURGED WITH A HIGH RATE OF SPEED AND CRASHED INTO THE GARAGE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE INSURANCE COMPANY HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED AND WAS TO HAVE A FACILITY INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. TAKATA RECALLON BUT THIS IS NOT UNDER THE RECALL, BUT I DID SEE IT THERE WERE RECALLED IN EUROPE JUST THE OTHER DAY FOR NOT GOING OFF AS WELL AS GOING OFF WITHOUT BEING HIT. I JUST WISH MINE HAD GONE OFF. 09/23/2018 I WAS HIT HEADON BY A VEHICLE GOING 45 MPH. THERE WAS NO WHERE ON MY FRONT END THAT WAS NOT EFFECTED BY THE ACCIDENT. RESEARCHING I FOUND WHERE THE SENSORS WERE FOR THE AIR BAG, EACH ON EACH SIDE OF THE RADITOR WAS HIT. THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEFLATE CASING MYSELF NECK AND BACK INJURY THAT WILL NEVER REPAIR. PICTURES WILL SHOW THAT THERE IS NO WAY NONE OF THE AIR BAG SENSORS WERE NOT DAMAGED OR HIT TO ADVISE THE AIR BAG TO GO OFF AND HOLD THE PERSON IN PLACE SO THEY DO NOT GET SLUNG AROUND LIKE A RAG DOLL UNTIL THE ACCIDENT IS OVER. I REMEMBER SEEING THAT THE ACCIDENT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN, I JUST DID NOT THINK I WOULD OF BEEN INVOLVED IN IT. UNFORTUNATELY, A TRUCK HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE WHICH THAT VEHICLE SLAMMED INTO ME AT FULL FORCE. I FIRST WAS SLUNG INTO THE DOOR, THE NEXT THING I REMEMBER IS MY ACCELERATOR STICKING SO I HAD TO TURN OFF MY KEY TO AVOID FLYING ACROSS A BUSY ROAD. I HAVE A BULDGING DISC, DAMAGED TENDONS AND MUSCLES. I AM 61 YEARS OLD AND NOW FEAR THAT IF HIT EVER AGAIN THE AIR BAG WILL NOT DEPLOY.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: [XXX]. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA COROLLA. WHILE STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WARNING INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED WHILE DRIVING, WHICH WAS A SAFETY CONCERN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLOCKSPRING AND THE AIR BAGS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO EAST STREET AUTO (746 EAST ST, PITTSFIELD, MA 01201, (413) 443-3447) WHERE IT WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 104,000.
SATURDAY, JUNE 2. THE DRIVER'S AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON INTERMITTENTLY WHILE I WAS DRIVING MY 2007 TOYOTA COROLLA. I IMMEDIATELY TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE LOCAL TOYOTA DEALER. THE DIAGNOSIS WAS INTERMITTENT OPEN CIRCUIT IN THE SPIRAL CABLE. I READ ON THE NHTSA WEBSITE THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH OTHER TOYOTA MODELS AND YEARS AND THAT A RECALL NOTICE WAS SENT TO OWNERS AND REPAIRS WERE MADE AT NO COST TO THE CONSUMER. TUESDAY, JUNE 5. THE DEFECTIVE PART WAS REPLACED AND I WAS TOLD THAT TOYOTA WOULD NOT PAY FOR THE PARTS AND LABOR. I SPOKE WITH THE DIRECTOR OF PARTS AND SERVICE TO ASK WHY I WAS CHARGED FOR THE REPAIR. HE SAID THE SPIRAL CABLE WAS NOT RELATED DIRECTLY TO THE AIRBAG, SO IT IS NOT A RECALL ISSUE; IT'S A PART THAT WEARS OUT, LIKE A WORN-OUT TIRE OR BRAKE PADS THAT ONE WOULD NEED TO REPLACE. I TOLD HIM THAT OTHER TOYOTA VEHICLES WITH DEFECTIVE SPIRAL CABLES WERE REPAIRED AT NO COST TO THE CONSUMER. HE SAID THAT THERE WAS NOTHING HE COULD DO TO HELP BECAUSE IT WAS OUT OF HIS HANDS AND THAT I WOULD NEED TO CALL THE 800 NUMBER FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. JUNE 6. I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EXPLAINED MY CONCERN. THE REPRESENTATIVE WHO TOOK MY INFORMATION SAID THAT I WOULD GET A CALL BACK IN A DAY AFTER HE RESEARCHED THE SITUATION. THURSDAY, JUNE 7. I RECEIVED A CALL FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE INFORMING ME THAT MY REQUEST FOR TOYOTA TO PAY THE FOR THE REPAIR WAS DENIED. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A SAFETY-RELATED DEFECT AS OTHER VEHICLES WERE RECALLED FOR THE SAME REASON. I WAS TOLD I COULD DRIVE MY VEHICLE WITHOUT THE DEFECTIVE PART REPLACED, BUT I DIDN'T HAVE PEACE OF MIND THAT IT WOULD BE SAFE TO ME OR TO OTHERS IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT WHILE DRIVING; I NEEDED TO BE ASSURED THAT THE AIRBAG WOULD DEPLOY UNDER CONDITIONS IT IS MEANT TO DEPLOY. TOYOTA SHOULD REIMBURSE ME FOR THE TOTAL COST AS THE AIRBAG DID NOT MEET THE STANDARDS TO SAFELY OPERATE MY VEHICLE.

ON ANOTHER OCCASION WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT-OFF WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED OFF THE FREE WAY. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT YET DETERMINED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER AS A POSSIBLE CAUSE FOR THE FAILURE. 10V384000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
TAKATA RECALL, AIR BAG LIGHT WONT GO OUT
TAKATA INFLATORS I HAVEN'T HAD AN ISSUE WITH MY AIRBAGS YET, BUT I SAW A NEWS ARTICLE THAT THERE ARE PROBLEM WITH MAKERS OF MOST CAR COMPANY'S AIRBAGS AND MY CAR WAS ON OF THE MODELS.
PARKING MY COROLLA I PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE LIGHTLY DEPRESSED ACCELERATOR PEDAL TO REVERSE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE SURGED IN REVERSE.I WAS ABLE TO STOP THE CAR BY STEPPING ON THE BRAKE AND MOVING GEAR SHIFTER TO NEUTRAL PREVENTING CAR FROM HITTING FENCE.THIS VEHICLE HAD THE ECM REPLACED FOR A PREVIOUS RECALL ON 6-18-11 ON THE 1ZZ-FE ENGINE 4CYL 1.8L
YOUR SITE DOES NOT SEEM TO BE WORKING PROPERLY. I ENTERED MY VIN IN THE APPROPRIATE PLACE AND CLICKED START, IT DID NOTHING. I WISH TO CHECK IF MY VEHICLE HAS AN OPEN RECALL, SPECIFICALLY, FOR TAKATA AIR BAG RECALL.
MY CAR HAD A RECALL COMPLETED ON THE ECM IN 2011. NOW IN 2018 MY ECM IS SHORTING OUT CAUSING MY ENGINE TO SHUT OFF WHILE I AM DRIVING. IN ORDER TO START UP THE ENGINE AGAIN I HAVE TO PULL OVER, PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND TURN THE KEY AGAIN. ONE TIME THIS HAPPENED WHILE I WAS STOPPED. THE OTHER TIME THIS HAPPENED WHILE I WAS DRIVING. TOYOTA REPORTED THAT BECAUSE THE RECALL HAD ALREADY BEEN COMPLETED THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO AND THE REPAIR HAD TO BE COMPLETED AT MY EXPENSE. THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE MY CAR SAFE TO DRIVE AGAIN IS TO HAVE A NEW ECM INSTALLED.
I WAS DRIVING HOME ON A 2 LANE CITY STREET A FEW WEEKS AGO WHEN I HEARD A LOUD CRASH/EXPLOSION OF SOME KIND ON WHAT SEEMED TO BE THE TOP OF MY CAR, WHEN I HAD GOTTEN HOME I SAW THE SUNROOF HAD COMPLETELY SMASHED AS IF SOMETHING HAD FALLEN ON TOP OF IT, BUT I AND THE GUY WHO REPLACED THE SUNROOF FOUND NO ROCKS OR ANY POINT OF IMPACT ON THE SUNROOF, SO IT HAD APPEARED TO CRACK SPONTANEOUSLY. WE HAD BEEN HAVING ICY WEATHER THE WEEK PRIOR BUT IT HAD BEEN COLD ENOUGH FOR A WHILE THAT A SUDDEN TEMPERATURE CHANGE COULDN'T HAVE BEEN WHAT CAUSED IT. NO GLASS FELL INTO THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THE INNER LINING OF THE ROOF HAD BEEN PULLED SHUT, BUT IT COST $700 TO REPLACE IT AND WE HAD TO DRIVE TO OMAHA, 60 MILES AWAY FROM WHERE I AM, TO GET IT REPLACED.

TAKATA RECALL - WOULD LIKE TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TO FIX THE AIRBAGS IN MY CAR.
PLASTIC DOOR HANDLES BREAK OFF. THIS POSES DANGER TO RESCUE PERSONNEL WHO MAY NEED TO SAFELY AND QUICK REMOVE CAR OCCUPANTS.
TAKATA RECALL I TOOK MY 2007 TOYOTA COROLLA TO DEALER TO HAVE AIRBAG REPLACED IN 2016 AND NOW MY AIRBAG LIGHT HAS COME BACK ON. I NOW HAVE TO TAKE MY CAR TO DEALER AGAIN FOR THE DAY TO HAVE THEM HOPEFULLY REPLACE THEM AGAIN. THIS CAR HAS HAD SO MANY PROBLEMS RIGHT FROM THE DAY I PURCHASED IT BRAND NEW OFF THE LOT. THE BRAKES HAVE BEEN REPLACED NUMEROUS TIMES AND 4 BATTERIES AND AT LEAST 20 TIRE REPLACEMENTS NOT TO MENTION THE HUB CAPS ALL ROLLED AWAY 4 MONTHS AFTER I PURCHASED IT BRAND NEW FROM HAYWARD TOYOTA
I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 70MPH ALONG THE BEELINE HIGHWAY OUTSIDE OF PHOENIX AZ AND NEGOTIATING A GENTLE CURVE IN THE ROAD. IT WAS ABOUT 1:30PM ON A CLEAR DAY. I FELT A STRONG LURCH (THOUGHT I HAD BEEN HIT FROM BEHIND ALTHOUGH I KNEW THERE WERE NO CARS AROUND ME) ALMOST IMMEDIATELY I ATTEMPTED TO STRAIGHTEN THE WHEEL AND FOUND MYSELF UNABLE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. THE CAR MOUNTED THE MEDIAN ROAD DIVIDER, CAME DOWN, SPUN 360 DEGREES AND GENTLY DRIFTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I WAS NOT INJURED BUT THE CAR WAS TOTALED. I LOOKED ON LINE AFTER THE ACCIDENT AND DID FIND SOME ACCOUNTS OF THIS KIND OF FROZEN WHEEL SCENARIO WITH THE LURCH THAT I FELT BUT ALSO AT MUCH LOWER SPEEDS. AS I UNDERSTAND YOU KEEP STATISTICS ON VEHICLE MALFUNCTIONS I FEEL IT IMPORTANT TO REPORT THIS UNUSUAL ACCIDENT TO YOUR AGENCY.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PLAZA TOYOTA (2721 NOSTRAND AVE, BROOKLYN, NY) WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V384000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING); HOWEVER, THEY REFUSED TO PERFORM THE REPAIR FREE OF CHARGE BECAUSE THE PREVIOUS DEALER DOCUMENTED THAT THE RECALL REPAIR WAS COMPLETED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,074.
