1-TAKATA RECALL: TOYOTA DEALERSHIPS HAVE NOT PROVIDED THE RECALL SERVICE YET. 2-THE STEERING WHEEL VIBRATES TOO MUCH THAT CAUSES HAND NUMBNESS.

AFTER CONTACTING THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WERE STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND NO ESTIMATED TIME FOR RECEIVING THE PARTS COULD BE GIVEN. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. UDATED 09/23/16*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE AIR BAGS WERE REPLACED. *JB
TAKATA RECALL- I HAVE MADE A TRIP TO MY TOYOTA OF LOUISVILLE DEALER A FEW WEEKS PAST TO HAVE MY CAR AIR BAG REPLACED AFTER GETTING A RECALL IN THE MAIL. THEY INFORMED ME THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PART BUT WOULD ORDER IT AND CALL ME WHEN IT CAME IN, STILL NO CALL. I CALLED LAST WEEK BUT COULD NOT TALK TO ANYONE BUT LEFT MY NUMBER BUT MY CALL WAS NOT RETURNED. I CALLED TODAY 7/5/16 AND ALL I GOT WAS A RUNAROUND AND A APOLOGY FROM THE CASHIER AND WAS TOLD AGAIN THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. I DO NOT FEEL THAT I NEED TO BE DRIVING WITH A CAR THAT COULD KILL OR INJURE ME. IF THEY CANNOT REPAIR MY CAR I FEEL THAT THEY SHOULD LOAN ME A CAR THAT IS SAFE UNTIL THE PART IS AVAILABLE. IF I SHOULD BECOME FATALLY INJURED AN APOLOGY WILL DO ME OR MY WIDOW ANY JUSTICE.

TAKATA RECALL I BROUGHT OUR 2007 COROLLA INTO PAULY TOYOTA IN CRYSTAL LAKE ILLINOIS ON APRIL 25, 2016 BECAUSE THEY RECEIVED THE REPLACEMENT PART FOR THE RECALL. IN THE PROCESS OF REPLACING IT, THEIR MECHANIC BROKE A PART AND THEY HAD TO ORDER A NEW REPLACEMENT PART. IT IS NOW SEPT. 29, 2016 AND THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE PART YET. THE NEXT ESTIMATED DATE THE DEALERSHIP MAY RECEIVE THE PART IS THE END OF OCTOBER. AS OF NOW MY CAR HAS BEEN SITTING IN THEIR PARKING LOT FOR 5 MONTHS. OBVIOUSLY THE END OF OCT WILL BE 6 MONTHS. THE TOYOTA CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER TELLS ME I HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE DEALERSHIP BUT ACCORDING TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON OR WHEN I MAY GET MY CAR BACK. I FEEL TOYOTA IS NOT BEING UPFRONT WITH INFORMATION AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW MORE THAN THE INDIVIDUAL DEALERSHIPS. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THERE IS INFORMATION FOR ME. TAKATA RECALL- I'VE BEEN ATTEMPTING TO HAVE THE PASSENGER AIRBAG REPLACED ON MY 2007 TOYOTA COROLLA FOR SEVERAL MONTHS NOW. MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP (FOLSOM LAKE TOYOTA, 12747 FOLSOM BLVD, FOLSOM CA 95630) HAS BEEN VERY UNCOOPERATIVE IN MAKING THIS AIRBAG REPLACEMENT OCCUR. WHEN I INITIALLY CONTACTED THEM APPROXIMATELY 2 MONTHS AGO, THEY STATED THAT THE AIRBAG PART HAD TO BE ORDERED AND THAT THEY WOULD CONTACT ME WHEN IT HAD ARRIVED. I WAITED A MONTH AND NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK. WHEN I CONTACTED THEM AGAIN, THEY DID STATE THE PART WAS IN. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO BRING IT IN AND HAVE THE AIRBAG REPLACED, THEY STATED THAT THEIR APPOINTMENT SYSTEM (COMPUTER) WAS NOT ALLOWING AN APPOINTMENT TO BE MADE. IT APPEARS THAT THIS CAR DEALERSHIP IS NOT INTERESTED IN REPAIRING SAFETY ISSUES WITH THE CARS THAT THEY SELL AND ARE MAKING EXCUSES NOT TO DO THESE REPAIRS.

A CASE HAS BEEN REGISTERED WITH TOYOTA NATIONAL HEAD QUARTER SUGGESTING TO CALL TOYOTA AT 800-331-4331. I CALLED AND SPOKE WITH [XXX]. SHE REFUSED TO PROVIDE ANY HELP ALTHOUGH I PROVIDED HER THE CASE NUMBER R. SHE HANDLED THE CASE VERY RUDELY AND UNPROFESSIONAL, KEPT ME ON HOLD FOR SEVERAL MINUTES AND THEN GAVE ME THE SAME CASE NUMBER WITH NO FURTHER ACTION AND ENDED THE CALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE SPIRAL CABLE WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE VEHICLE WAS REMEDIED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V286000 (AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS MADE AWARE OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V168000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 131,837.
TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IT MAY TAKE UP TO 10 WEEKS BEFORE THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE TO REPAIR MY AIRBAG. IN THE MEANTIME I AM DRIVING A VEHICLE WHICH MAY KILL MY PASSENGER IF THE AIRBAG IS USED. TOYOTA WILL NOT PAY FOR A RENTAL TO PREVENT A INJURY OR DEATH DURING THE TEN WEEKS BEFORE THIS VEHICLE IS REPAIRED AND THEY ARE TELLING ME TO HAVE PEOPLE SIT IN THE BACK SEAT. THEY ARE PLAYING WITH PEOPLES LIVES WHILE WAITING FOR THIS TO BE REPAIRED.

TAKATA RECALL. LAST YEAR I RECEIVED A LETTER SAYING THAT MY COROLLA HAD A RECALL FOR AIRBAGS. I TOOK MY CAR TO FRANK TOYOTA IN IN NATIONAL CITY CALIFORNIA. THEY TOLD ME THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PARTS AND THAT I WOULD RECEIVE NOTICE WHEN THEY DID. ON MARCH 21 OF THIS YEAR I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM TOYOTA SAYING THAT TOYOTA HAD COMPLETED PARTS PREPARATION IN MY AREA AND TO TAKE IT TO ANY DEALER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I CALLED FRANK TOYOTA ON THE 21ST. AFTER BEING ON HOLD FOR SEVERAL MINUTES THEY TOLD ME THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS FOR MY CAR AND IT WOULD TAKE 2 TO 3 WEEKS. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED CHULA VISTA TOYOTA ON MAIN STREET AND TALK TO JAVIER. HE TOLD ME TO BRING IN MY CAR ANYTIME AND THEY WOULD FIX IT. I TOOK IT IN TODAY SATURDAY, MARCH 26 AND IT WAS COMPLETED.
TAKATA RECALL MONTHS AGO I RECEIVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL STATING MY VEHICLE WAS APART OF THE RECALL. I'VE CALLED MULTIPLE TIMES ABOUT SETTING UP AN APPOINTMENT TO GET MY AIR BAG FIXED AND HAVE HAD NO LUCK IN GETTING IT FIXED. THEY KEEP TELLING ME I SHOULD RECEIVE A YELLOW PAPER WHEN IT'S AVAILABLE.

TOYOTA SENDS RECALL NOTICES. FOR THE PAST YEAR DEALER KEEPS TELLING US THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE EQUIPMENT NECESSARY TO MAKE THE REPAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE KEEP CALLING, THEY KEEP TELLING US THEY CAN'T MAKE THE REPAIR OR REPLACE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. HAVE CONTACTED TOYOTA DIRECTLY, TOYOTA DID NOT SEEM INTERESTED IN PROBLEM.

AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A GARAGE AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT DID NOT SUSTAIN ANY INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V285000 (AIR BAGS). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
I CALLED WAPPINGERS FALLS DCH TOYOTA SERVICE DEPARTMENT ABOUT 2MONTHS AGO. THEY SAID PARTS WILL BE ORDERED AND I WILL GET A CALL BACK. I CALLED AGAIN TODAY(4/18). NOW THEY ARE TELLING THAT THERE IS NO RECORD OF MY PREVIOUS CALL AND THE PARTS WILL BE ORDERED. I AM WORRIED ABOUT THE SAFETY. IS THERE ANY THING YOU CAN HELP?
TAKATA RECALL: I RECEIVED THE SAFETY RECALL NOTICE (INTERIM NOTICE) RE THE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG INFLATOR MODULE FROM TOYOTA MONTHS AGO, THOUGH I NOTICED THAT THERE IS NO DATE ON IT. IT STATES: ". . . WE WILL SEND YOU ANOTHER NOTIFICATION ONCE SUFFICIENT PARTS HAVE BEEN PRODUCED AND THE REMEDY CAN BE PERFORMED." I'VE HEARD NOTHING SINCE. NEWS OF ANOTHER AUTOMOBILE MANUFACTURER'S RECALL PROMPTED ME TO WONDER WHY I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM TOYOTA AGAIN AFTER ALL THIS TIME. I CALLED A LOCAL TOYOTA DEALERSHIP AND THEY ADVISED THAT THEY HAVE THE PARTS NEEDED AND SCHEDULED A SERVICE APPOINTMENT FOR TOMORROW, FOR WHICH I AM GRATEFUL. MY COMPLAINT IS THE FACT THAT I HAVE HEARD NOTHING FROM TOYOTA AFTER THE INTERIM NOTICE EVEN THOUGH THOSE "SUFFICIENT PARTS HAVE BEEN PRODUCED AND THE REMEDY CAN BE PERFORMED." I WONDER HOW MANY OTHER TOYOTA OWNERS ARE STILL OUT THERE WAITING FOR "ANOTHER NOTIFICATION," WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT BE SENT TO THEM. I HOPE TOYOTA IS BEING HELD ACCOUNTABLE REGARDING GETTING THE NOTIFICATIONS TO TOYOTA OWNERS IN A TIMELY MANNER. I DON'T THINK THE COMPANY DID THAT IN MY CASE.

TAKATA RECALL - I RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE FOR MY VEHICLE AND IMMEDIATELY CALLED MY TOYOTA DEALER TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE REPAIR TO BE MADE. THE SERVICE MANAGER TOLD ME IT WOULD BE ABOUT 8 WEEKS UNTIL THEY COULD FIX IT. I ASKED WHY SO LONG, AND HE INFORMED ME THAT TOYOTA WILL ONLY AND THEN ONE PART PER WEEK. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT WHAT SEEMS TO BE A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE, IS NOT BEING TREATED AS SUCH. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY IS TOYOTA DOING THIS, POTENTIALLY RISKING THE LIVES OF HOW MANY TENS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE, IN AN EFFORT TO DO WHAT, SAVE A BUCK? I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE AN ANSWER. TAKATA RECALL. MY 2007 TOYOTA COROLLA WAS RECALLED, AND BROUGHT IT TO.POWAY TOYOTA DEALERSHIP. THEY REPLACED AIR BAG INFLATOR FRONT PASSENGER.THE CAR HAS 117,492 MILES. IT WAS DONE BUT THERE'S A LIGHT THAT COMES ON AFTER THE INSTALLATION. I ASKED THE SERVICE ADVISOR AND HE SAID IT'S NOT RELATED TO THE RECALL. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THIS, SO I DECLINED THE AIRBAG DIAGNOSIS.IT'S BEEN1.5 YEARS, AND NOW I DECIDED TO BRING THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP TO FIX THIS ISSUE. HAVE AN APPOINTMENT IN 2 DAYS, AND I'M WONDERING IF I AM ENTITLED FOR REIMBURSEMENT FROM THE TAKATA RECALL, FOR THIS ISSUE. I APPRECIATE ANY CORRECTIVE ACTION YOU MAY PROVIDE REGARDING THIS ISSUE.

MY HUSBAND HAD A WRECK IN JANUARY OF 2016 AND TOTALLED THE VEHICLE. THE AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY AND HE BASHED HIS CHEST OFF THE STEERING WHEEL, CAUSING HIM TO HAVE A SEIZURE. THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED DUE TO THE CRASH ON A HIGHWAY.

I HAVE RECEIVED THREE (3) SEPARATE RECALL NOTICES TO FIX THE AIRBAG ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF MY VEHICLE. TOYOTA HAS NOT ALLOWED ME TO DRIVE A SAFE VEHICLE IN OVER 10 YEARS. I DO NOT FEEL CONFIDENT THAT THEY WILL EVER MAKE IT SAFE. THE NHTSA NEEDS TO STEP IN AND FIX THIS ISSUE IMMEDIATELY. EVEN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT OF THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF FLORIDA HAS STEPPED IN WITH A CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT. TOYOTA AND TAKATA SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO CONTINUE TO DO BUSINESS IN THE UNITED STATES UNTIL ALL OF THIS IS SUCCESSFULLY RESOLVED.

THIS IS A CONCERN FOR ME AS THIS IS MY ONLY CAR AND WHAT I USED DAILY TO TAKE ME TO WORK & EVERYWHERE ELSE IN BETWEEN. STARTED CAR IN DECEMBER 2015, TWO WEEKS BEFORE CHRISTMAS. DASH LIGHTS DID NOT COME ON AUTOMATICALLY AS THEY ALWAYS DID AT NIGHT, NOR DID THEY COME ON AFTER MANUALLY TURNING THEM ON, BUT AFTER 10 MINUTES OF DRIVING THEY CAME ON. NEXT NIGHT AGAIN NO LIGHTS, THIS TIME I HIT A BUMP, DASH LIGHTS FLASHED ON THEN OFF AGAIN UNTIL NEXT BUMP IN ROAD AND CAME ON AND STAYED ON. NEXT NIGHT, NO LIGHTS. HIT BUMPS IN ROAD BUT STILL NO LIGHTS. MY DASH LIGHTS NEVER CAME ON AGAIN. I LOOKED ONLINE AND FOUND THAT POST AFTER POST AFTER POST OF 2007 TOYOTA COROLLA OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING SAME PROBLEM. THAT'S WHEN I FOUND OUT I ALSO HAD NO TAIL LIGHTS! MECHANIC CHECKED FUSES AND TAIL LIGHT RELAY, ALL FINE. CHECKED FOR LOOSE WIRES, NO LOOSE WIRES. MECHANIC PUZZLED. WALNUT CREEK TOYOTA DEALER WANTS $350.00 JUST TO LOOK AT IT. AFTER SEEING ALL THESE POSTS WITH SAME PROBLEM, TOYOTA DEALER SHOULD KNOW WHAT IT IS! I HOPE THIS WILL BECOME A RECALL.

I HAD MY VEHICLE IN IDLE AND RETRACTED MY DRIVERS SIDE POWER WINDOWS DOWN TO PULL MY NEPHEW INTO MY LAP TO SAY GOODBYE TO HIM. AT THIS TIME ABOUT 5 MINUTES AFTER STARTING MY CAR THE WINDOW PANEL, AS WELL AS BELOW THE DOOR PANEL TOWARDS THE SPEAKER A HEAVY SMELL OF BURNING PLASTIC SPREAD AROUND THE CAR AND WHITE SMOKE STARTED BILLOWING OUT THROUGH THE SLIT THE WINDOW GLASS RETRACTS BACK INTO. AT THIS TIME I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND WAITED UNTIL THE TOXIC SMOKE HAD ESCAPED. THIS ISSUE WITH THE MASTER SWITCH HAS BEEN REPORTED BY TOYOTA FOR 2009 COROLLAS ONLY. THIS COULD HAVE POSED A SERIOUS HEALTH RISK HAD IT GONE UNNOTICED. AFTER DOING THE DIAGNOSTIC, IT WAS FOUND THAT IT WAS IN FACT A FAULTY SWITCH THAT PROBABLY "GOT WET". IF A CAR IS CATCHING ON FIRE AFTER A SIMPLE FLORIDA RAIN SHOWER, THAT IS NOT THE CONSUMER'S FAULT. FAULTY MANUFACTURING IS THE CASE HERE. WAITING ON TOYOTA CORPORATE RESPONSE OR WILL SEEK PROMPT LEGAL ACTION.

FLAT TIRE. VEHICLE CAME WITH TOYOTA ALUMINUM OR NON-STEEL RIMS. SUPPLIED, LUG NUT WRENCH DOES NOT FIT LUG NUTS. COULD NOT INSTALL SPARE TIRE. THIS COULD BE A PROBLEM IN A BLOWOUT OR IF THE NAIL CAME OUT OF THE TIRE, ESPECIALLY IN NO CELL PHONE AREAS(NO BARS). GOT A 22MM SOCKET BUT IT IS LOOSE, 21MM DOES NOT FIT.
