TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 TOYOTA PRIUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BULBS BLOW OUT EACH MONTH IN THE HEADLIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS. THE BULBS WERE REPLACED THREE TIMES EACH. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 91,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000.
I HAVE A 2008 TOYOTA PRIUS THAT EXPERIENCES THE SAME HESITANCY AND SHAKING WHILE BRAKING THAT THE 2010 RECALLED MODELS HAVE. I INITIALLY TOOK THE VEHICLE TO TOYOTA WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR OF OWNERSHIP AND THEY CLAIMED TO NOT BE ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THEY ALSO TOLD ME LAST WEEK AT THE DEALERSHIP THEY HAVE HAD OTHER 2008 OWNERS STATE THE SAME PROBLEM, BUT SINCE THE VEHICLES ARE NOT UNDER RECALL, THERE IS NO RECOURSE FOR THESE CARS. I HAVE NEVER HAD A CRASH DUE TO THE PROBLEM, BUT IT MAKES HANDLING A BIT DIFFICULT WHEN THE BRAKES SHAKE. I FEEL THE RECALL FIX SHOULD BE MADE AVAILABLE TO OTHER MODEL YEARS AS WELL. *TR
I OWN A 2008 TOYOTA PRIUS AND HAVE BEEN READING ABOUT THE 2010 PRIUS BRAKING PROBLEM. I AM EXPERIENCING THE SAME SYMPTONS WHEN I HIT THE BRAKES ON A BUMPY OR POT-HOLED SECTION OF ROADWAY. IT IS A TEMPORARY (SPLIT SECOND) LOSS OF BRAKING POWER. ALTHOUGH I HAVE NOT HAD ANY ACCIDENTS ATTIBUTABLE TO THIS CONDITION, I AM NEVERTHELESS CONCERNED AND WOULD LIKE THE PROBLEM CORRECTED. WILL THE NHTSA EXPAND ITS INVESTIGATION TO INCLUDE TOYOTA'S 2ND GENERATION PRIUS LIKE MINE?
VEHICLE WAS HIT FROM REAR WHILE STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. DESPITE THE BRAKES BEING APPLIED AT THE TIME, THE REAR IMPACT CAUSED THE CAR TO BE PUSHED FORWARD INTO THE CAR IN FRONT OF IT AS IF THE BRAKES WERE NOT EVEN IN USE. THERE WAS MINIMAL DAMAGE TO THE BUMPER FROM THE REAR IMPACT BUT MORE SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE FORM THE SECOND IMPACT. *JB
I HAVE A 2008 TOYOTA PRIUS; IT HAS THE SAME PROBLEM WITH BRAKING AS WHAT YOU DESCRIBE IN THE 2010 MODELS. WHEN APPROACHING A STOP, IF YOU HIT A BUMP, OR POTHOLE, THE BRAKES KIND OF 'RELEASE' MOMENTARILY. THEY DO GRAB AGAIN WITHIN A HALF-SECOND, OR SO. BUT IT IS VERY UNNERVING. I COULD SEE HOW IT COULD LEAD TO A CRASH UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES. *TR
1) THE EVEN HAPPENS DURING NORMAL BRAKING FROM 40 MPH OVER A ROAD WITH POTHOLES. IF SOMEBODY WAS IN FRONT OF ME, IT WOULD RESULT IN A ACCIDENT. IT HAPPENS 5 DAYS A WEEK AS PART OF MY DAILY COMMUTE. 3) TOYOTA SAYS IT IS NORMAL FOR THE PRIUS TO DO THIS.
WHEN I DEPRESS BRAKE PEDAL JUST BEFORE STOPPING IT FEELS LIKE THE BRAKE DISENGAGES FOR A SECOND AND THEN REENGAGES BEFORE COMING TO A HALT. BEEN THIS WAY SINCE I GOT THE 2008 PRIUS. EVERY ONE I SPEAK TO JUST SHRUGS. NO INCIDENTS AS YET. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT'S MOTHER OWNS A 2008 TOYOTA PRIUS. THE VEHICLE WAS STRUCK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND TWO OCCUPANTS DIED. THE VIN, SPEED, PURCHASE DATE, ENGINE SIZE, NUMBER OF CYLINDERS, AND MILEAGES WERE UNKNOWN.
The contact owned a 2008 Toyota Prius. The contact stated that while his mother was driving approximately 37 MPH, a second vehicle crashed into the rear passenger side causing the vehicle to go airborne and crash. During the crash, the front driver's side and front driver's side curtain air bags did not deploy. The driver's chest impacted the steering wheel causing her heart to sustain severe pressure and her ribs to collapse. Also, the front seat passenger was ejected from the vehicle through the windshield. Both occupants sustained fatal injuries due to the crash. The front passenger was not wearing a seat belt during the crash. A police report was taken at the scene. The vehicle was destroyed and towed to an impound lot. The vehicle was then towed by Toyota who confirmed there was an air bag failure. The vehicle was resold after being salvaged. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 6,500.
THE BACK LATCH ON MY 2008 TOYOTA PRIUS TRUNK HAS BEEN MADE WITH FAULTY MATERIALS. THE POOR CHOICE IN MATERIALS USED TO CONSTRUCT THE LATCH ARE A SAFETY CONCERN. IN EXTREME TEMPERATURES, THE LATCH DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. IN EXTREME HEAT, THE LATCH MELTS AND BURNS AND STICKS TO MY HAND AND ANYTHING ELSE IT COMES IN CONTACT WITH. IN EXTREME COLD TEMPERATURES I AM UNABLE TO GET MY TRUNK OPEN. THIS WAS A DESIGN FLAW THAT COULD AFFECT MY SAFETY IF I WAS EVER IN NEED OF GETTING INTO MY TRUNK, OR OUT OF IT IN A LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION. IF I WAS STUCK IN MY CAR AND THE ONLY WAY OUT WAS THROUGH MY TRUNK BECAUSE OF A CRASH OR AVALANCHE OR OTHER DISASTER, I BETTER HOPE THAT IT'S ON A NICE WARM DAY, BECAUSE IF IT'S ON A COLD DAY I'M SCREWED AS IT WILL BE NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ME OUT. THIS IS A DESIGN FLAW ON THE PART OF TOYOTA, AND I WOULD APPRECIATE THEM TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THEIR CUSTOMERS SAFETY AND REMEDYING AN ISSUE THAT WAS CAUSED BY THEM USING A MATERIAL THAT DOES NOT WORK IN EXTREME TEMPERATURES. I LOVE A LOT ABOUT MY PRIUS, BUT A LATCH THAT MELTS AND FREEZES AND ONLY WORKS PROPERLY WHEN THE TEMPERATURE IS BETWEEN 45 AND 75 ISN'T ACCEPTABLE TO ME.
I BOUGHT A TOYOTA PRIUS 2008 AND WITHIN 2 MONTHS OF PURCHASE I EXPERIENCED SUDDEN ACCELERATION TWICE. I MENTIONED THE ISSUE TO A TOYOTA DEALER SERVICE AGENTS, BUT HE TOOK IT NO FURTHER NOR DID I. IT HAS NEVER HAPPENED AGAIN. *TR
2008 TOYOTA PRIUS, IS ADVERTISED TO HAVE AN 11.9 GALLON GAS TANK - YET WHEN YOU FILL IT UP IT WILL ONLY TAKE 7 GALLONS. THE DEALER SAYS THAT THEY CANNOT FIX IT. I AM UNCOMFORTABLE WITH A GAS TANK THAT DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY AND I FEEL THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
PULLING INTO A DRIVEWAY, MY BRAKES FAILED TO HOLD, MY 2008 TOYOTA PRIUS CAR JUMPED FORWARD WHILE MY FOOT WAS STILL DEPRESSED ON THE BRAKE, AND MY CAR HIT A PARKED CAR. I REPORTED THE ACCIDENT TO MY INSURANCE COMPANY. DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE PARKED VEHICLE; ONLY MINOR DAMAGE WAS DONE TO MY CAR. I ADVISED MY DEALERSHIP OF THE INCIDENT, AND I WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULD INSPECT THE BRAKES, BUT THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE THEY COULD DO REGARDING THE INCIDENT THAT OCCURRED. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN DRIVING OVER A ROUGH OR BUMPY SURFACE AND TRYING TO DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE PEDAL WOULD DEPRESS FURTHER THAN NORMAL AND THE BRAKES FAILED FOR A FEW SECONDS BEFORE THE ABS ACTIVATED. THE ISSUE WAS ONGOING AND OCCURRED WHENEVER HE DROVE OVER A PARTICULAR ROUGH SURFACE IN HIS NEIGHBORHOOD. HE ALSO ATTEMPTED TO BRAKE BEFORE HE DROVE OVER THE ROUGH SURFACE AND COAST TO AVOID THE FAILURE. HE HAS NOT SEEN OR SPOKEN TO THE DEALER OR MANUFACTURER TO-DATE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 40,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 10.
I HAVE A 2008 TOYOTA PRIUS. WHEN I DRIVE OVER BUMPY SURFACES SUCH AS ROAD COVERS OR POT HOLES WHILE BREAKING, I CAN FEEL MY CAR ACCELERATING MID-BRAKE AND THEN HAVE TO PRESS DOUBLY HARD ON MY BRAKES TO SLOW THE VEHICLE. I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT DRIVING BECAUSE DRIVING OVER SOME BUMPY RAILROAD TRACK CROSSINGS, I HAD TO BREAK BECAUSE THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME STOPPED SUDDENLY. I FLOORED THE BRAKES AND MY CAR CONTINUED TO ROLL RIGHT INTO THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I HAVE ALSO CONSIDERED THAT PERHAPS THERE WAS ELECTRICAL INTERFERENCE WITH MY BRAKES CAUSED BY THE RAILROAD CROSSING. *CN

HID HEADLIGHTS HAVE PERFORMED POORLY, DIM - PARTICULARLY ON HIGH BEAM, SINCE IT WAS NEW. NOW LEFT HEADLIGHT ONLY WORKS INTERMITTENTLY. *TR
I OWN A 2008 TOYOTA PRIUS AND I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THE SAME BRAKING AS THE ISSUES AS THE RECENT 2010 RECALL SINCE I HAVE OWNED THE CAR BRAND NEW. WHEN COMING TO A STOP ON A SEMI ROUGH ROAD (ALL THE TIME) THE CARS BRAKES STUTTER AND THE ANTILOCK ENGAGES AND DIS-ENGAGES CREATING THE CAR TO NOT HAVE PROPER BRAKING CONTROL. ON JANUARY 22, 2010, I WAS PULLING INTO A HANDICAP PARKING PLACE OUTSIDE A LOCAL RESTAURANT WHEN MY 2008 PRIUS SUDDENLY ACCELERATED WHILE MY FOOT WAS FIRMLY ON THE BRAKES. MY CAR WENT OVER THE HANDICAP BARRIER AND THE CURB AND FINALLY STOPPED WHEN MY CAR HIT THE RESTAURANT LANDSCAPING. THE NEXT MORNING I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP, TALKED TO THREE SEPARATE PEOPLE AND THEY WANTED ME TO DRIVE MY CAR IN. I TOLD THEM I DIDN'T FEEL THE CAR WAS SAFE TO DRIVE AND THEY SHOULD TOW IT IN. THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULDN'T DO IT. NEXT I CALLED MY INSURANCE AGENT AND MADE THEM AWARE OF THE PROBLEM BECAUSE I WAS AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR IN FEAR OF INJURIES THAT COULD OCCUR IF THE CAR DIDN'T STOP AGAIN. THEY ARRANGED TO HAVE MY CAR TOWED IN AND REPAIRED. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THEY CHECKED THE CAR AND FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,000.

THE VEHICLE LOST TRACTION AND CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE UNCONTROLLABLY. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE IS DESIGNED WITH THE BRAKING FEATURE THAT CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT IS CONCERNED ABOUT THE RISK OF A CRASH OCCURRING. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000.
2008 TOYOTA PRIUS - BRAKES SLIP WHEN TRYING TO STOP AT LOW SPEEDS, ESPECIALLY ON WET ROADS OR ON ROADS WITH BUMPS (INCLUDING MANHOLE COVERS). THIS HAS OCCURRED REPEATEDLY SINCE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER, ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS, SAID THAT THEY RAN DIAGNOSTICS AND FOUND NO ANOMALIES. I READ TODAY THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS ALSO BEEN REPORTED ON NEW (2009-2010) TOYOTA PRIUS MODELS, AND THAT THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT HAD ORDERED TOYOTA TO INVESTIGATE. HOWEVER THE ARTICLE SAID THAT TOYOTA WAS UNAWARE OF ANY PROBLEMS WITH OLDER VEHICLES. I AM FILING THIS COMPLAINT IN THE HOPE THAT TOYOTA WILL EXTEND ITS INVESTIGATION TO SERIES 2 PRIUS MODELS (2004-2008) AS WELL. *TR
TRACTION CONTROL ISSUES WITH 2008 TOYOTA PRIUS. THE TRACTION CONTROL MAKES THE CAR ALMOST UNDRIVEABLE ON SNOW COVERED ROADS DUE TO POWER BEING REMOVED FROM DRIVING WHEELS. SUGGEST ADDING A SWITCH TO DISABLE THE TRACTION CONTROL. *TR

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 300. THE CURRENT MILES WERE 14000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THIS IS A DEFECT THAT I TRIED TO RESOLVE WITH THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP. I HAD OWNED A 2004 TOYOTA PRIUS THAT GOT 45-50 MPG WHILE DRIVING IN TOWN AND ABOUT 45 HIGHWAY. I TRADED THIS CAR IN FOR A 2008 TOYOTA PRIUS. IN THE 2008, I AM LUCKY TO GET ABOVE 35 MPG IN TOWN AND I GET ABOUT 45 HIGHWAY. MY MILEAGE ON HIGHWAY IS MUCH HIGHER THAN IN TOWN WHICH IS NOT WHAT TOYOTA ADVERTISES AND I AM NOT DRIVING ANY DIFFERENTLY THAN I DID THE 2004 PRIUS. SO SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE ECM IN THE CAR. WHEN I COMPLAINED, THE DEALERSHIP TOOK ME ON A DRIVE WITH MY CAR WHERE THEY DROVE VERY VERY SLOWLY DOWNHILL AND REGISTERED 60 MPG AND SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG AND WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING. SO I GAVE IT UP. NOW THAT I SEE THAT QUALITY CONTROL OF TOYOTA IS NON-EXISTENT, I KNOW THE ECM IS NOT ACTING PROPERLY AND NEEDS TO BE FIXED. *TR
SHORTLY AFTER I PURCHASED THE CAR NEW, THE AUDIO DISPLAY UNIT (TOUCH SCREEN,) WHICH ALSO CONTROLS AIR CONDITIONING FAILED AND WAS REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY ON JANUARY 5, 2008. THE SAME UNIT FAILED AGAIN ON OCTOBER 30, 2011 . THE TOUCH SCREEN IS UNRESPONSIVE, WHICH MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO USE IT TO CONTROL AIR CONDITIONING, AUDIO AND OTHER INFORMATION FUNCTIONS. THE TOYOTA DEALER FROM WHOM I PURCHASED THE CAR EXAMINED THE PART, CONFIRMED THAT IT IS DEFECTIVE AND INFORMED ME THAT A REPLACEMENT WILL COST OVER $7,000 (SEVEN THOUSAND) WHICH IS ABOUT HALF OF THE CURRENT BLUE BOOK VALUE OF THE CAR. IT IS THEREFORE NOT ECONOMICAL TO REPAIR IT. I WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT WHILE THE CAR HAS A 3 YEARS/30000 WARRANTY, THE DEFECTIVE PART IN QUESTION HAS ONLY ONE YEAR WARRANTY. THIS SEEMS DECEPTIVE, BECAUSE ACCORDING TO TOYOTA'S TSB EL002-05, THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM. *KB
I HAVE A 2008 TOYOTA PRIUS AND APPARENTLY I'M EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEMS AS THE 2010'S IN THE RECALL. AFTER READING THE DESCRIPTION FROM NEW RELEASES I REALIZE THAT I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THE PROBLEM. THE EVENT IS REPRODUCIBLE AND OCCURS WHENEVER I'M BRAKING AND THE CAR HITS THE SLIGHTEST BUMP OR DIP IN THE ROAD. IF I DO NOT LET GO OF THE BRAKE JUST BEFORE THE BUMP/DIP/SMALL POTHOLE, THE BRAKE SEEMS TO DISENGAGE AND THE CAR FEELS AS IF ITS LURCHING FORWARD. THE ENGINE DOES NOT SEEM TO REV BUT THERE IS A DEFINITE FEELING OF ACCELERATION. I HAVE NOTICED THIS PRETTY MUCH SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR BUT DID NOT THINK ALL TO MUCH OF IT, I JUST ADJUSTED MY DRIVING HABITS AS BEST AS POSSIBLE. ( I THOUGHT PERHAPS THE ABS OR TRACTION CONTROL WAS JUST TOO SENSITIVE) I DRIVE THROUGH OUT THE DAY AND A ROAD I TRAVEL ON HAS GOTTEN PRETTY BEAT UP WITH ALL THE SNOW REMOVAL SO I HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL DRIVING ON THIS ROAD IF THERE IS ANY TRAFFIC, AS I MUST ANTICIPATE THE BUMPS/DIPS AND BRAKE ACCORDINGLY OTHERWISE THIS EVENT WILL OCCUR. I HAVE REPORTED TO TOYOTA MY CONCERN ABOUT THE 2008 MODEL YEAR PRIUS, THE MIDDLE BACK PASSENGER SEAT. THE SEAT HAS BEEN RAISED UP ABOUT 2 INCHES (PADDING) BUT IS NARROW, CAUSING IT TO NOT BE STABLE/COMPATIBLE WITH AT LEAST 3 DIFFERENT CHILD RESTRAINT/BOOSTER SEATS THAT WE HAVE TRIED. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE WITH THE 2005 MODEL YEAR PRIUS. I HAVE REPORTED THIS TO MANUFACTURER, COMPLAINT#REF#200712061340. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO SLOW DOWN DURING BRAKING. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHENEVER THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM WAS ENGAGED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE ACCELERATION WAS A NORMAL OCCURRENCE UPON ACTIVATION OF THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM. THIS FAILURE OCCURRED APPROXIMATELY 20 TIMES SINCE SHE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. THE BRAKES ALSO MALFUNCTIONED WHENEVER SHE DROVE OVER RAILROAD TRACKS. THE DEALER STATED THAT SHE MUST BE DOING SOMETHING WRONG TO CAUSE THE BRAKES TO MALFUNCTION. NO REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 13000.

ON 2/24/2010 I WAS DRIVING MY 2008 PRIUS, SLOWING TO STOP FOR A RED ARROW SIGNAL. WHEN I WAS AT ABOUT 2MPH, THE CAR REVVED, SHOOTING FORWARD INTO THE CAR AHEAD OF MINE. MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE, I WAS NOT ON THE PHONE OR DISTRACTED WITH ANY OTHER ACTIVITY. AS A RESULT, MY CAR SUFFERED MINOR DAMAGE, AND THERE WAS LITTLE TO NO DAMAGE TO THE OTHER VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND NO POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. IT WAS RAINING. THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED IN ROSEVILLE, CA. MY CAR WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THE FLOORMAT, BUT THE DEALER IN MY AREA SENT A LETTER STATING NOT TO COME TO THE DEALER FOR THE FIX UNTIL THEY CONTACTED ME. THE NEVER HAVE, AND AFTER THIS INCIDENT DID NOT ASK ME TO BRING THE CAR IN TO FIX THAT ISSUE. ON 3/2/2010, WHEN TRYING TO START THE CAR, I WAS DEPRESSING THE BRAKE AND HIT THE START BUTTON, HOWEVER, ONLY THE ELECTRICAL POWER CAME ON, NOT THE ENGINE. In the cars digital instrument cluster have problem on the same model many of cars because I know many of friends that have same model car and I get problem so I go to the mechanic and the mechanic says it is a manufacturing problem on that same model have same problem I repair it twice and now it again appears it's also a safety concern because the problem is the light is completely go out completely blank so we are not able to see the vehicle speed vehicles fuel gas and vehicles other information that shows on digital cluster so if we drive in this condition we don't know how much speed is on my car right now
In 2025 I decided to clean the hybrid battery fan. I removed the side panels and found that the fan to battery duct had never been installed. I am the original owner and no one had ever removed the inside panels or had reason to remove the duct. This has likely resulted in the overheated battery which now needs replacing even though I have only 161,000 miles on this car which I have always maintained without fail regarding oil changes and other maintenance tasks.

2008 TOYOTA PRIUS. CONSUMER STATES PROBLEM WITH VEHICLE FLOOR MAT *TGW THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO COMPLY WITH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL RECALL. WHEN THE CONSUMER PICKED UP THE VEHICLE, HE NOTICED THE DRIVERS FLOOR MAT WAS STILL MISSING FROM WHERE HE HAD PLACED IT IN THE TRUNK AND THAT THE AREA HAD NOT BEEN VACUUMED. THE CONSUMER STATED THE PROCEDURES HAD NOT BEEN FOLLOWED AS STATED IN THE RECALL. THE CONSUMER DIDN'T BELIEVE THE FLOOR MAT INSPECTION HAD BEEN DONE, AND ONLY THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS MODIFIED. *JB

ALSO, THE HEATING SYSTEM WAS NOT ADEQUATE DURING WINTER CONDITIONS, THE AUTOMATIC DIMMING REAR VIEW MIRROR DID NOT WORK BECAUSE IT WAS BLOCKED BY THE REAR WINDOW FRAME. CONSEQUENTLY, THE CONSUMER WAS BLINDED BY THE LIGHTS OF OTHER VEHICLES BEHIND HIM. *JB
