Leaking water into passenger side during rain. Many have reported the same issue. Seems to be some loose seals on the roof.
OPENED FRONT HOOD USED ROD TO HOLD HOOD UP - WHEN I WENT TO CLOS HOOD I FORGOT ABOUT ROD AND WITH VERY LITTLE PRESSURE THE HOOD CRUMPLED LIKE ALUMINUM FOIL AT THE PLACE WHERE ROD WAS
I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE DOWN THE INTERSTATE AND IT STARTED TO SLOW DOWN. THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING. HOWEVER, THE TRANSMISSION WAS SLIPPING AND I COULD NOT MAINTAIN THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT. THE ONLY WAY TO KEEP THE VEHICLE MOVING WAS TO REV THE ENGINE UP TO BETWEEN 5,000 AND 6,000 RPM. FORTUNATELY, I WAS ABLE TO GET TO AN EXIT AND GET THE VEHICLE TO A PARKING LOT. AT THAT POINT, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE UNDER IT'S OWN POWER. THE ENGINE WOULD RUN, BUT THERE WAS NO POWER TO THE DRIVE WHEELS. THIS CONCERNS ME AS I WAS LUCKY TO GET THE VEHICLE OFF THE INTERSTATE AND OFF THE ROAD WITHOUT INCIDENT. OTHERWISE, GIVEN THE TRAFFIC AND POSTED SPEED LIMIT, I WAS CONCERNED THAT SOMEONE WOULD RUN INTO ME.
3 TIMES THE WINDSHIELD HAS CRACKED, TWICE IN THE PAST 3 MONTHS. THE CRACK STARTS DOWN LOW NEAR THE EDGE AND QUICKLY SPREADS. THERE IS A LARGE BODY OF EVIDENCE ON THE INTERNET SUGGESTING THIS MALFUNCTION IS VERY COMMON ON THIS MAKE AND MODEL AND THERE HAS BEEN NO OFFICIAL RECALL FROM TOYOTA.
OIL STARTED LEAKING HEAVILY; I WAS NOTIFIED BY A COWORKER AND WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR INTO FIRESTONE BEFORE THE ENGINE LOCKED UP. LOW OIL PRESSURE WARNING CAME ON AS I DROVE INTO FIRESTONE LOT. TECHS TOLD ME THE OIL COOLING HOSE FAILED (AT 109000 MILES). OLD HOSE WAS MADE OF RUBBER ATTACHED TO METAL PLATES AND HAD FAILED TWO PLACES IN THE RUBBER HOSE. NEW HOSE IS MADE OF METAL SO TECHS CHECKED FOR A RECALL AND FOUND NONE. THIS COULD BE A BIG SAFETY ISSUE IF PEOPLE ARE NOT AWARE OF WHAT IS HAPPENING AND GET STRANDED SOMEWHERE OR THE ENGINE LOCKS OUT ON THEM AT SPEED.

REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR DOES NOT CLOSE PROPERLY AND WILL OCCASIONALLY OPEN WHILE DRIVING CAUSING WARNING LIGHTS, RINGING BELLS, AND WARNING STATEMENTS ON DISPLAY BOARD. WHEN DOOR IS CHECKED IT APPEARS CLOSED. CABLE THAT RUNS DOOR SEEMS TO BE FRAYED DESPITE IT BEING USED LESS FREQUENTLY THAN THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR.
DOORS WILL NOT OPEN EVEN AFTER RECALL WAS PERFORMED

THIS WEBSITE AND SENT NOTICES STATE THAT MY 2011 TOYOTA SIENNA IS ON TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL. WHEN I JUST CALLED BOCH TOYOTA SOUTH TO SCHEDULE THE RECALL AND REPLACE MY AIRBAGS, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE SAID THAT THE AIRBAG RECALL IS VEHICLE SPECIFIC AND MY MINI VAN IS NOT ON THEIR RECALL LIST, THEREFORE I CANNOT GET THE SAFER AIRBAGS INSTALLED. I'D LIKE TO GET THIS PROBLEM RESOLVED AND MAKE MY VEHICLE SAFER.
POWER SLIDING DOOR- THE CABLES ON BOTH SIDES OF THE VEHICLE BROKE JAMMING THE DOOR SHUT, THE CABLE NEEDED TO BE CUT FURTHER TO ALLOW THE DOOR TO OPEN FULLY AND NOW REQUIRES MANUALLY TO BE OPENED, PRIOR TO THIS THE DOORS WOULD MAKE A POPPING NOISE WHEN OPENED FROM THE MANUAL LEVER OUTSIDE OF THE DOOR.
THE POWER MOTOR WOULD TURN OFF FOR A WEEK OR SO THEN COME BACK ON FOR SEVERAL WEEKS. THE POWER MOTOR NOW DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. THE FINAL TIME IT WENT OUT WAS WHEN I WAS DRIVING. I TOOK IT TO A DEALERSHIP THEY TOLD ME THE STEERING COLUMN NEED TO BE REPLACE AT A CONSIDERABLE COST. I HAVE READ ON-LINE ON MANY FORUMS THAT THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE.
WHILE DRIVING, THE DRIVER'S SEAT BELT, AT IT'S LOWER ANCHOR POINT IN THE B PILLAR, BECAME UNBOLTED AND CAUSED THE BELT TO BECOME PERMANENTLY DETACHED FROM THE CAR.
I PUT MY VEHICLE IN PARK AND THEN TURNED ON THE HAZARD LIGHTS, AS I WAS PARKED AT THE ENTRANCE TO A BUSY HIGHWAY, AND JUST WANTED TO GRAB MY MAIL. I TURNED AROUND FROM GETTING THE MAIL; AND MY MINIVAN WAS ROLLING ACROSS THE HIGHWAY WITH THREE OF MY CHILDREN INSIDE OF IT. IT STOPPED WHEN IT HIT A CEMENT BARRIER ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. NO AIR BAG DEPLOYED. MY CHILDREN SUFFERED FROM MINOR INJURIES. AND, A-LOT OF ANXIETY.WHAT HAPPENED TO MAKE MY MINIVAN SWITCH OUT OF PARK?
THERE IS A SAFETY RECALL B0H ISSUED BY TOYOTA THAT ONLY IMPACTS CERTAIN 2011 MODEL YEAR SIENNAS. THIS IS WHERE THE RIGHT HAND FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY IS IMPACTED. THE VEHICLE OF MY 2011 TOYOTA SIENNA DOES NOT MATCH THOSE VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER(S) THAT ARE IMPACTED BY THIS RECALL. MY VEHICLE IS EXHIBITING THE EXACT SAME ISSUE THAT OTHER 2011 TOYOTA SIENNAS ARE RUNNING INTO BUT MY VEHICLE VIN NUMBER IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE SAFETY RECALL. MY VEHICLE HAS 75656 MILES ON IT AND TOYOTA DEALERSHIP WILL NOT FIX THIS SAFETY RECALL WITHOUT ME PAYING FOR IT. I CALLED TOYOTA ABOUT THIS ISSUE (CASE 1710022954) BUT THEY ARE REFUSING TO SEND ME ANY DOCUMENTATION THROUGH EMAIL ON THIS AND REFUSING TO COMPLETELY FIX THE SAFETY RECALL ISSUE ON MY 2011 TOYOTA SIENNA.

THE CONTACT AND HER FOURTEEN YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WERE INJURED AS A RESULT OF THE CRASH. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING AND HER DAUGHTER WAS SEATED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE OCCUPANTS WERE INJURED AND THE FOURTEEN YEAR OLD PASSENGER WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE RECENTLY HAD THE AIR BAGS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V340000 (AIR BAGS). THE AUTONATION TOYOTA CERRITOS DEALER (18700 STUDEBAKER RD, CERRITOS, CA) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND WERE CURRENTLY REPAIRING THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,000.
WHILE STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND WAITING FOR TRAFFIC TO CLEAR, SUDDEN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION BEGAN. I LIFTED MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE FOR A SPLIT SECOND AND THEN BRAKED HARD. THE ENGINE RETURNED TO IDLE. THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAPPENED, THE FIRST BEING THREE WEEKS EARLIER, SHORTLY AFTER HAVING POWER SLIDING DOOR RECALL WORK PERFORMED. I AM CONVINCED THERE IS A DEFECT IN THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL SYSTEM. THERE IS NO OTHER REASONABLE EXPLANATION. I TOOK THE CAR TO MY DEALERSHIP AND THE DEALER SAID A TECHNICIAN FOUND ALL SYSTEMS OKAY AND NO ACTION WAS REQUIRED.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED BECAUSE THE PARTS HAD TO BE ORDERED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 1710102139. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT ONLY CANADA WAS INCLUDED IN A RECALL FOR THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 115,000.

FUEL DOOR HINGE BROKE CAUSE BY SLIDING DOOR SAFETY MECHANISM BEING TOO STIFF AND PLACED IN A BAD LOCATION.
LESS THAN A YEAR PIRELLI SCORPION VERDE ALL SEASON PLUS 235/50/R19 TIRES FRONT TIRES SUDDENLY LOSES AIR IN THE FREEWAY. IT HAPPEN IN TWO OCCASIONS, FIRST ON THE LEFT AND THEN RIGHT SIDE AFTER ONE WEEK OF DRIVING. THE FIRST INCIDENT HAPPEN JULY 15, 2017 CAUSING A REPLACEMENT OF THE TIRE. THE SECOND JULY 30,2017 STILL WAITING FROM PIRELLI IF THAT BATCH OF TIRE WAS DEFECTIVE.
TAKATA RECALL THEY SENT ME A RECALL NOTICE ABOUT ONE YEAR AGO STATING NO SOLUTION YET, IN THE MEANTIME, DEATH MAY OCCUR IF PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYS. SO FOR A YEAR NO ONE CAN SIT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, ABOUT A WEEK AGO I FINALLY GET A NOTICE THAT THEY HAVE THE PARTS NOW. I CALL THEM AND THEY PUT ME ON A WAIT LIST THAT THE SAN JOSE STEVEN'S CREEK TOYOTA DEALER TELLS ME IS GOING TO BE 4 TO 6 WEEKS WAIT. SO FOR A YEAR, NO ONE CAN SIT ON THE PASSENGER SEAT OR FEAR OF DEATH IF THE AIRBAG DEPLOYS. NOW ITS 4 TO 6 MORE WEEKS LONGER. I HAVE 2 CHILDREN SEATS INSTALLED IN THE MIDDLE ROW AND THE BACK SEATS ARE FOLDED DOWN TO CARRY CARGO. WHERE IS MY WIFE SUPPOSED TO SIT IN THE MEANTIME?!? THIS IS A RIDICULOUSLY LONG TIME THAT I'M NOT ABLE TO USE MY PASSENGER SIDE SEAT. THIS IS CRIMINAL.

THE CONTACT HAD NOT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION FOR ANOTHER REPAIR APPOINTMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,056. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
NHTSA RECALL ID: 11V560 I UNDERSTAND THIS IS A RECALL FOR SOME SORT OF STICKER ON MY VEHICLE. MY TOYOTA DEALERSHIP SAID THEY WERE UNABLE TO GET THE STICKER AND I HAD TO CALL TOYOTA DIRECTLY. I JUST GOT OFF OF A 25 MINUTE PHONE CONVERSATION WITH TOYOTA AND THE RESULT WAS THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHY THE DEALERSHIP COULDN'T HANDLE IT AND THEY WOULD HAVE TO CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP. I ASKED THAT THE STICKER JUST BE SENT TO ME IF IT WAS JUST A STICKER AND I WAS UNABLE TO WAIT ON HOLD ANY LONGER. TOYOTA SAID THEY COULD NOT CONTINUE TO HELP ME UNLESS I STAYED ON HOLD WHILE THEY TALKED TO THE DEALERSHIP. I UNDERSTAND IT IS "JUST A STICKER" AS BOTH TOYOTA AND THE DEALERSHIP HAS INFORMED ME. HOWEVER, I WANT THE RECALL CLEARED FROM MY VEHICLE. I AM SEEKING ASSISTANCE IN GETTING THE STICKER SENT TO ME AS REQUIRED. SEEMS LIKE IT IS A SIMPLE TRANSACTION, BUT TOYOTA IS NOT MAKING IT SO. TAILGATE SENSOR AND LOCKING MECHANISM ALARM AND LIGHTING GOES ON AND OFF INTERMITTENTLY INDICATING TAILGATE LATCH INSECURE WHILE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION DISTRACTING DRIVER. TAILGATE DOOR LATCH INSECURE PLACING DRIVER, PASSENGERS AND CONTENTS AT RISK IN THE EVENT OF MOVEMENT OF THE VEHICLE AS WELL AS TO OTHER VEHICLES ON THE ROAD IN THE EVENT OF A COLLISION.

TAKATA RECALL: DESPITE BEING IN ZONE A, MY LOCAL TOYOTA DEALER (SERVCO HAWAII) SAYS IT WILL BE MANY MONTHS BEFORE THEY CAN GET TO FIXING MY AIRBAG (I WAITED ON THE PHONE FOR OVER AN HOUR BEFORE THEY EVEN ANSWERED MY CALL). GIVEN THAT ZONE A CARS ARE AT THE GREATEST RISK OF ACCIDENTAL AIR BAG EXPLOSION, AND GIVEN THAT TOYOTA SAYS THAT THE FRONT SEAT SHOULD NOT BE OCCUPIED UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS FIXED, IT SEEMS INADEQUATE TO JUST TELL THE CONSUMER THAT THEY WILL GET TO IT IN A FEW (INDETERMINATE) MONTHS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FALMOUTH TOYOTA (290 MACARTHUR BLVD, BOURNE, MA 02532) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR LATCHES FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ORIGINALLY STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO THE ISSUE DESCRIBED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V858000 (STRUCTURE). THE DEALER LATER STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO A SEPARATE ISSUE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS IN THE PROCESS OF SPEAKING TO THE DEALER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 146,000.
RECALL ON SLIDING DOORS. WAS STATED THAT THEY MAY "OPEN WHEN DRIVING" WAS TOLD BY TOYOTA DEALERSHIP THEY "LIKELY WOULDN'T GET THE PART BECAUSE WE DON'T LIVE IN SUB ZERO TEMPS SO DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT" MEANWHILE I DRIVE FOUR CHILDREN IN THIS CAR SO I AM WORRIED ABOUT IT.
WE PURCHASED OUR SIENNA FEB 2015 FROM A DEALER. IN MAY 2016 WE WERE INFORMED OUR TIRES HAD WORN ON THE INSIDE AND THEY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND AN ALIGNMENT NEEDED TO BE DONE. WE DID BOTH AS RECOMMENDED. IN SEPTEMBER 2016 WE WERE TOLD THAT OUR TIRES WERE FEATHERING DUE TO AN ALIGNMENT ISSUE, SO AGAIN THE VAN AS ALIGNED. THE TIRES ARE BALANCED AND ROTATED PER THE RECOMMENDED TIME FRAME. I TOOK MY VAN IN JUNE 2017 TO THE DEALER TO HAVE AN OIL CHANGE DONE AND WAS INFORMED THAT I WILL NEED NEW TIRES SOON. THESE ARE MICHELIN TIRES WHICH ARE 60,000 TIRES. THEY CURRENTLY HAVE 25,859 MILES ON THEM. THE TIRES MEASURED 4/32, 5/32, 5/32, AND 5/32. I HAVE HAD ANOTHER ALIGNMENT DONE IN JUNE. WE ARE NOW LOOKING INTO ANOTHER SET OF TIRES SINCE WE WILL BE MOVING NEXT YEAR AND HAVE LITTLE ONES IN THE CAR TO KEEP SAFE. I HAVE READ SO MANY FORUMS THAT STATE THE EXACT SAME ISSUE WE ARE HAVING. THAT THE TOYOTA SIENNA EATS THROUGH TIRES. I WAS VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE DEALER SHIP WHEN I QUESTIONED THEM WHY THIS IS HAPPENING. I WAS BASICALLY TOLD I HIT POT HOLES AND HAVE THROWN THE ALIGNMENT OUT OF WHACK AND IS CAUSING THE ISSUES. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE TO FIX THIS! HAVING TO PURCHASE NEW TIRES WHEN THEY HAVEN'T EVEN GONE THROUGH HALF THE MILES THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.

IN JUNE 2016 RECEIVED LETTER FROM TOYOTA STATING "SAFETY RECALL NOTICE (INTERIM NOTICE) MULTIPLE MODELS AND MODEL YEARS TAKATA FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG INFLATOR (ZONE A} ON FRONT OF ENVELOPE. INSIDE LETTER FURTHER STATED THE PROBLEM; WHAT TOYOTA WILL DO AT NO CHARGE; AND WHAT WE SHOULD DO, "UNTIL THE REMEDY BECOMES AVAILABLE, WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT OPERATE THE VEHICLE WITH AN OCCUPANT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT." IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A YEAR NOW AND MY WIFE AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS HAVE BEEN GREATLY INCONVENIENCED AND HAVE HAD TO CANCEL ROAD TRIPS BECAUSE OF LACK OF NEEDED SEATING. AFTER ALMOST A YEAR OF MAKING MONTHLY FRUSTRATING PHONE CALLS I HAVE BEEN TOLD PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THEY WILL BE. ALSO, HAVE RECEIVED THE EXACT SAME NOTICE OF RECALL ON POWER SLIDING DOORS ON MY VEHICLE A FEW MONTHS AGO WITH THE SAME RESPONSE ON THE AVAILABILITY OF PARTS. THE DRIVING OF MY VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN AFFECTED BY THESE NOTICES ONLY THE INCONVENIENCE OF SEATING AND THE POSSIBLE SAFETY OF MY PASSENGERS.

THE CABLE FOR THE DRIVERS SIDE SLIDING DOOR FRAYED AND SNAPPED, THE PASSENGER SIDE CABLE IS SHOWING SIGNS OF FRAY AS WELL. THE ELECTRONIC DOOR OPENING IS NOW INOPERABLE. BECAUSE OF THE WEIGHT OF THE DOOR IT IS DIFFICULT TO CLOSE AND IF PARKED ON A SLIGHT INCLINE THE DOOR CAN LOOK CLOSED BUT IN FACT IS NOT FULLY LATCHED AND CAN SLIDE OPEN WHEN YOU START MOVING. (THE CABLE SNAPPED WHEN PARKED AND THE ELECTRONIC OPENING FUNCTION WAS USED.) CURRENTLY WAITING FOR ESTIMATE FROM TOYOTA FOR THE REPAIR BUT WAS TOLD APPROXIMATELY $1200 AND MAY NOT BE PART OF THEIR ON GOING DOOR RECALL PROBLEM
