ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO DRIVER ACCIDENTALLY BUMPED THE SHIFTER AND IT WENT INTO NEUTRAL WITHOUT PRESSING THE LOCK. CONSUMER CONSIDERS THIS TO BE A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED, WHO STATED THIS IS NORMAL FOR THAT VEHICLE. *AK
CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON COLLISION AT 30/40 MPH. UPON IMPACT, NEITHER DRIVER'S SIDE NOR PASSENGER'S SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. *AK
THE FRONT TIRE TREADS ON THE ORIGINAL TIRES OF THE VEHICLE WORE OUT WITHIN 10,000 MILES. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DETERMINED THE SHOCKS WAS THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHICH FOUND NO PROBLEM WITH THE SHOCKS. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *JB
THE CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT A FIRESTONE TIRE PROBLEM. ALL 5 TIRES SPLIT ON THE SIDEWALL. FIRESTONE SENT AN INSPECTOR, AND WAS TOLD IT WAS A ROAD HAZARD. VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN LESS THAN 1000 MILES AND THE TIRES WERE DEFECTIVE. *AK THE SECOND SET OF TIRES HAD THREE TIRES WITH SPLITS IN THE SAME AREA. THE FIRESTONE INSPECTOR SUGGESTED THAT THIS WAS DUE TO ROCKS OR SOME SORT OF PROBLEM CUTTING THE TIRES. THE CONSUMER HAD NEVER DRIVEN THE VEHICLE OFF OF PAVED ROADS. ALL EIGHT TIRES HAD SPLITS IN THE SAME AREA. *SC
CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT A BRAKE PROBLEM. WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED, THERE IS VIBRATION IF CONSUMER'S FOOT IS ON BRAKE PEDAL, AND VEHICLE DOES NOT STOP. DRIVER MUST PUSH THE BRAKE PEDAL DOWN A SECOND OR THIRD TIME TO GET THE VEHICLE TO STOP. *AK
VEHICLE HAS A HISTORY OF PROBLEMS THAT THE DEALER CANNOT DETERMINE THE CAUSES. VEHICLE DOES NOT PROPERLY SHIFT INTO GEAR, HAS A ROUGH IDLE, AND A KNOCKING NOISE IN THE ENGINE. DEALER COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEMS BECAUSE THEY WERE INTERMITTENT. *AK
