TAKATA RECALL I TOOK MY CAR IN TO GET MY AIRBAGS REPLACED WITH A NEWER VERSION TO RUSTY WALLCE VOLKSWAGEN NOV.10NTH TODAY MY DRIVER AIRBAG INFLATED AS SOON AS I PARKED IT. THE KEY WAS IN THE IGNITION AND I WAS FAR AWAY FROM ANY OTHER CAR.IM GLAD IM OK BUT THIS COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE. I AM VERY UPSET THAT THIS HAPPENED. I DRIVE A 2009 VOLKSWAGEN CC. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF FIXING A FAULTY RECALL WITH ANOTHER DAMAGED PART.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER AN UNKNOWN AIR BAGS RECALL ON NOVEMBER 15, 2017 BY PETE MOORE IMPORTS VOLKSWAGEN IN PENSACOLA, FLORIDA. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE RECURRENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AGAIN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,227.
PASSENGER OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. POSSIBLY AFFECTING PASSENGER AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT.
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE BEEN ISSUED SEVERAL NOTICES OF AIRBAG RECALL FOR MY VOLKSWAGEN. MYSELF AND MY HUSBAND HAVE MADE PHONE CALLS TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND HAVE BEEN TOLD UNABLE TO REPAIR. RECEIVED ANOTHER NOTICE LAST WEEK AND CONTACTED DELEARSHIO AGAIN. THIS PHONE CALL HAS NOT BEEN RETURNED BUT WAS TOLD BY PERSON ON THE PHONE THAT THE REPAIR WOULD PROBABLY NOT OCCUR DUE TO NO PARTS.
WE RECEIVED A LETTER FROM VW EARLIER THIS WEEK THAT OUR AIR BAG WAS NOW IN LINE TO BE REPLACED BUT WHEN WE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP, THEY SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS? I HAVE ALSO CALLED VW OF AMERICA HEADQUARTERS AND AM CURRENTLY ON HOLD!
TAKATA RECALL. VOLKSWAGEN OF OAKLAND IN OAKLAND CA. REFUSED TO REPLACE MY AIRBAG. I DROPPED MY CAR OFF ON 4/05/2017 AND WHEN IT WAS RETURNED TO ME, I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE NOT GOING TO CORRECT THE AIRBAG PROBLEM IN MY CAR UNTIL AFTER JUNE. I CONTACTED VW HEADQUARTERS AND WAS TOLD THAT THE DEALER SHOULD HAVE REPAIRED MY CAR BECAUSE MY CAR WAS ON THE LIST TO BE REPAIRED. I WAS ACTING ON A LETTER THAT I RECEIVED IN LATE APRIL FROM VW ADVISING ME TO TAKE MY CAR INTO THE NEAREST DEALER TO HAVE MY AIRBAG REPAIRED.

TODAY I NOTICED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL SURFACE IS CRACKING ALONG AIRBAG
TAKATA RECALL... HOW LONG ARE WE SUPPOSE TO RIDE AROUND IN A DANGEROUS VEHICLE IN HARMS WAY. THE RECALL WENT OUT IN FEBRUARY OF THIS YEAR AND HERE IT IS JULY WITH NO REMEDY. I NEED A LOANER VEHICLE OR A NEW VEHICLE FOR THIS DEATH TRAP I HAVE. I HAVE A TERRIBLE GAS LEAK IN MY FUEL LINE. THE GAS SMELL HAS MOVED INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND NO ONE CAN WITHSTAND IT. NOT ONLY IS THE SMELL EXTREMELY STRONG, BUT THE GAS LEAK IS EVEN MORE DANGEROUS THAN THE FAULTY AIRBAGS. INSURANCE COMPANIES TOTAL VEHICLES WHEN AIRBAGS DEPLOY, BUT VOLKSWAGEN THINKS IT'S OKAY FOR US TO RIDE AROUND IN VEHICLES WITH FAULTY, LIFE THREATENING AIRBAGS AND FAULTY FUEL LINES. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE ON SO MANY LEVELS AND SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE AND BE DONE IMMEDIATELY.

TAKATA RECALL: I AM READING THAT PEOPLE ARE BEING INJURED AND DYING, AND THE NEWS SAYS TO STOP DRIVING THE CAR. THE DEALERSHIP HAS NO RESOLUTION. THERE IS NO TIME-LINE FOR A REPAIR. I USED YOUR LIVE CHAT AND WAS TOLD I COULD ASK FOR A RENTAL. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT NO RENTAL WILL BE PROVIDED, IT WAS UP TO ME TO TAKE THE RISK TO DRIVE THE CAR.
TAKATA RECALL MY VEHICLE HAS AN AIRBAG RECALL AND YET I HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN AN OPTION TO TAKE IT IN FOR CHECK UP. I HOPE TO ALSO GET THE DASH CLEARED UP OF ALL THE LIGHTS INDICATING VARIOUS ERRORS ON MY CAR. MY VEHICLE STARTED ACTING UP THIS WAY AS IT WAS STATIONARY FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS TOTAL NOW.
